It has been almost three weeks since Mirai made it to Solaris, after waiting so long for Jacob to show up she started to get bored and decided to check out as many shops and restaurants as possible so she could show Jacob and the girls a good time, she even got a haircut to distinguish herself. Her silver hair which was long is now short and spiked. As she's walking around a group of knights stay in the shadows out of her line of sight. She walked into the bakery to buy an assortment of breads and pastries. She buys scones, croissants, cakes, and sweet bread. She thanks the baker for her time and leaves as she walks a crowd is gathered around the water fountain she teleported to when she arrived. She lets curiosity get the best of her and goes to see what the commotion is all about. She squeezes through the crowd and sees a group of people standing on top of the corpse of a red dragon. The lead knight on top has luscious blonde hair, blue eyes and his chin has a subtle cleft. He stands on the dead dragon's head boasting about his and his team's skill. Just below him is a short woman with purple hair and witches hat with a brim that covers most of her body, she has a cloak that's so long she would trip over it when she walks, she wears thick oval glasses and her face is one of boredom. Next to her is another man wearing knight cuisses and no top. He is bald with a significant scar on his right cheek. He holds a shield with a lion design on it and his face is serious. The final member is a priest woman, she wears black and white priest robes and holding a staff that curves at the top with a ruby in the middle, she has long white hair and is clearly the youngest of the group and is happily smiling and waving at the crowd, clearly happy to see they're smiles and cheers. Mirai isn't too impressed, she believes that their skills are impressive but knows in her heart that Jacob would've been able to defeat the dragon alone in no time flat.

She starts to walk away when she hears the lead knight Rand boasting about being the hero who will save the world. Instantly her blood starts to boil knowing what all three of the heroes look like and that the only one who is anywhere near the city of Solaris is her husband. She steps forward to confront the boastful knight.

Mirai: Excuse me.

Rand: Ah would you like an autograph beautiful?

Mirai: I'm curious, who gave you the title of hero?

Rand: Oh, why the king of Rayner of course.

Mirai: Oh did he, and what made him choose you?
Rand: Because of my awesome power, as you can see this dragon underestimated that power and paid the price.

Mirai: How much of the work came from you comrades?

Rand: They did their parts and weakened it. Allowing me to land the killing blow.

Mirai: I see, then you're not one of the heroes.

Rand: I'm sorry?

Mirai: You see there are three heroes and I know this because I'm married to one of them. Sir Jacob.

Rand: I'm sorry, but I'm one of the other heroes chosen.

Mirai: Oh I'm so sorry, what is your name "hero"?

Rand: It is alright, I am Sir Rand, one of the chosen heroes.

Mirai: Yeah no, the other heroes are Sirs Marco and Ron and neither of them are on this path.

In that moment the crowd was starting to murmur and the knight was starting to sweat, even his team was starting to look at him in a different light, it appeared he had tricked them into joining him under false pretenses.

Rand: My dear woman, how could you possibly know I'm not a hero?

Mirai: Because I'm one of the daughters of the king of Rayner, eldest of the Valkyrie Trio, princess Mirai, wife to sir Jacob, one of the three heroes. My sisters are married to the other two.

In an instant the crowd and his team turned on Rand. The two females of his team were particularly angry.

Witch: I slept with you because you said my magic powers would help make you more powerful.

Priest: He said the same thing to me only it was my holy abilities. I gave you my first time, you said after the demon lord was defeated you would marry me and we would start a family.

Warrior: He told me I would gain fame and fortune if I joined him and he promised me a chance to be with the woman I loved.

Very quickly Rand realized he was in danger of a mob attacking him, he grabbed a magic potion from the pack on his side and threw it down causing a blinding light. He made his escape while the crowd rallied to find him. Mirai looked at the disheartened team and apologized for how Rand had used them.

Mirai: I promise as princess of Rayner I will reimburse all three of you and ensure your lives are taken care of.

Warrior: I thank you princess, but all I want now is to be with the love of my life, if she'll take me.

The warrior looked at the witch who initially looked at him in confusion, until she saw him blush at her and her head steamed from all the blushing.

Witch: W-w-w-well you heard that I slept with that phony. Would you still want me even after that?

Warrior: He used all of us, I don't think any less of you.

Witch: Okay, just don't regret being with me. I am a witch you know.

Warrior: I promise I won't. What will you do?

Priest: I'll probably go back to the church and reaffirm my vows. Maybe one day I'll find someone who will love me and want a family with me.

Mirai: I know you will, never give up hope.

Witch: Oh princess, you said you were married to one of the heroes. Do you think we could meet him?

Mirai: If you stick around town for a few more days you will be able to.

Priest: Oh wow, a real hero. I can't wait.

Warrior: I wonder how strong he is?

Mirai: I'm sure he's strong enough to defeat the whole army of the kingdom by himself.

Warrior: My lady, do you know how long until he is here?

Mirai: I was told that it would be around two and half weeks when I departed the kingdom. So he could be here today or tomorrow.

Witch: Wait, how could you be here before him if you left the kingdom two weeks ago?
Mirai: Our mages used a transport spell to send me here.

Witch: Incredible, that spell requires a huge amount of mana.

Mirai: Yes, it took over fifty mages to send me.

Priest: My lady, would it be okay if we tagged along so we could meet your husband the hero?

Mirai: Not at all, the more the merrier.

Mirai and the group went back to the inn to talk about their adventures and even talk about the possible power Jacob has.

Rand is hunched over on his knees panting, he ran in only back alleys with twists and turns so he could avoid the mob of angry citizens. He could still hear them in the distance looking for him, but he just smiled knowing they wouldn't be able to find. Once he caught his breath he straightened up and vowed he'd get back at the princess. He started to walk away when he heard the clanging of metal, he recognized it as knights armor and he started to run only to run face first into the biggest knight he'd ever seen. This knight was over seven feet tall, and was nothing but muscle. Rand thought that the armor was just for looks and that this behemoth couldn't be penetrated by even cannon fire. The clanking metal of knights armor was getting louder, Rand turned to see the knight who had been humiliated by Mirai walking up to him.

Leader: Hello, I'm Perrot.

Rand: Um, hello.

Perrot: I overheard you wanting to get revenge on that princess.

Rand: W-what n-n-no, you didn't hear that.

Perrot: Don't worry, I want revenge on her as well.

Rand: R-really?

Perrot: Yes she denied my advances and embarrassed me, now I will make her pay.

Rand: How, she said she's the wife of a hero.

Perrot: Then we'll capture that hero and embarrass her in front of him, before killing them both.

Rand: Alright I'm in.

Perrot: Good, my men say the hero should be here soon. When he arrives we attack.
Perrot and Rand shake hands and walk out of the dark alleyway laughing.

Jacob and the girls are walking through the forest as the sun sets, Phoebe is healing Liora's feet while Roxy gives her a piggyback ride.

Phoebe: She's riddled with injuries, scars and possible infections. When we get to Solaris I'll really need to have her lay down so I can properly get her the needed medical attention.

Jacob: I gotcha, I wonder how far we are from this place?
Rose: It shouldn't be too far, maybe less than a mile.

Jacob: Huh, you'd think we would at least see buildings in the distance?

Sylvie: It could be concealment so monsters don't get in.

Jacob: So could we have actually missed it?
Phoebe: No, the paths lead to civilization every time. We give it a little more time and we'll be there.

Jacob: Okay, I believe you.

The group walks the trail for around ten more minutes before they arrive at a shimmer in the air, to Jacob it looks as if he's staring at a heat mirage. The girls walk past him and disappear into thin air, Sylvie grabs Jacob's hand and pulls him through the shimmer revealing an enormous city with buildings as far as the eye can see.

Jacob, Roxy, Sylvie, and Liora are amazed at the size of the city and how many buildings are in it.

Jacob: I was not expecting Solaris to be this big.

Sylvie: It's amazing, there's so much here.

Liora: Do you think someone here will be able to cure me here?

Roxy: We can sure try.

Phoebe: No, we can't let anyone see Liora as she is.

Roxy: What, why?

Ale: Because of her demon look.

Inki: They'll try and kill her on sight.

Rose: We could use a disguise charm so she seems humanesc to regular citizens.

Jacob: Is that a spell?

Rose: No it's an enchanted object, like a necklace or a ring.

Jacob: Do regular shops sell that?
Phoebe: Not legally. Disguise charms are illegal everywhere since spies and commoners would use it to try and trick nobility into marriage and child rearing.

Jacob: So that's a no on the charm then?
Ale: Not necessarily, because you're a hero on a very important mission it's possible we can talk to the local nobility here and they will allow you one.

Jacob: Is that so?

Ale: I was a small noble myself, I do know a way around several laws.

Jacob: You're incredible Ale you know that.

Ale smiles and blushes slightly. Jacob and the girls proceed to walk in the direction of the castle while using a cloak to cover Liora from the citizens.

As they walk, they pass by the fountain where the dragon's corpse still lays. Its scales have been forcefully removed, its wings have been snipped, and its teeth have been pulled to the root. A man is trying to force one of the dragon's eyes out.

Jacob: Why is he doing that?
Phoebe: Normally dragon parts go for high prices, scales can go for 1 gold a scale, teeth about 20 gold and eyes are around 100 gold an eye.

Jacob: Money, the root of all evil.

Rose: If we can get the other eye we should be able to use it to make a charm.

Phoebe: Rose, we're going to see the nobility to get one.

Rose: Yeah but this is for security in case they don't let us, and even if they do let us dragon eyes can be used for other purposes.

Jacob: I don't feel right looting a dragon's corpse.

Rose: It'll be fine love.

Rose runs up and quickly slices out the dragon's other eye while the man is still struggling to get his out. She jumps back to the group gracefully, holds the eye and says "Tada"

Sylvie: How did you do that so swiftly?
Rose: While I was a guild receptionist I also doubled as a beast butcher so I know how to remove all kinds of body parts from a majority of beasts.

Jacob: Does that skill translate to meat for cooking?
Rose: Of course.

Jacob: Now I'm excited.

Rose smiles, places the eye in her bag and the group proceeds towards the castle. While walking they don't notice Mirai and the fake heroes' old team sitting outside a cafe talking, Mirai looks over and notices Jacob and in her surprise jumps up knocking the table over and the drinks on the trio.

Mirai: I am so sorry, but he's here.

The trio look at Jacob and the group walk by not paying attention to them.

Witch: That's one of the heroes?
Warrior: Upon first sight he doesn't look that impressive.

Mirai: I promise, you won't be disappointed. Wait here for a moment.

Mirai jumps over the fence separating the cafe from the street and she jumps full force over Jacob and the girls. Everyone is surprised and confused why she did that. Phoebe drops down to her knee recognizing her.

Phoebe: Princess Mirai, what brings you here?

Jacob: Princess?

Mirai: It's good to see you again Madam Phoebe, Sir Jacob.

Jacob: Do I know you? You do look kind of familiar.

Phoebe: She is the eldest daughter of the king and queen of Rayner Jake. Leader of the Valkyrie Trio, princess Mirai.

Jacob: OH, now that I look at her she looks just like the queen.

Mirai: I have been told I am her clone.

Jacob: Well there's some slight differences, your ears have a free lobe like the king the queens are attached, also your chin shape is more like your fathers too if ever so slightly.

Mirai: Wow you can remember the facial features of my parents after so long?

Jacob: Since I got my ability my memory has been pretty good.

Mirai: Incredible, well I am here to join you on your journey to defeat the demon lord Azrael and his army. With permission from my mother and father of course.

Jacob: Cool, cool, cool. Only question I have is, how did you get here?

Mirai: Sir Jericho and the mages teleported me and my sisters to you and the other heroes.

Jacob: So Marco and Ron are with your sisters huh, that's neat.

Mirai: I also have a document for you Jacob, please take it.

Mirai hands Jacob a folded document, as Jacob opens and reads it the color on his face drains and his eyes start bulging out.

Jacob: WOAH WOAH WOAH WAIT, THIS IS A MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE. AND WHY ARE THE NAMES ON HERE YOURS AND MINE?!

The girls also lose the color in their faces upon hearing that the princess and Jacob are married on a legal document.

Mirai: My parents have given myself and my sisters their blessings and wrote this document up, so you and I are married my love.

Jacob: This can't be legally binding, I mean I don't even know you.

Mirai: I'm sorry to say it is, we are married.

Phoebe: B-but my lady, Jake, is in a relationship with us.

Mirai: I know that so here.

Mirai takes the marriage certificate from Jacob and shows the girls that on the paper there are sixteen total lines fifteen are blank with Mirai's name on the seventh line.

Mirai: I anticipated that he would gain quite a few women who wanted to be his bride and since our kingdom allows up to sixteen wives or husbands for nobility I took the pleasure of leaving spots open for all of you.

The girls stare at the paper, they all sweat, some take big gulps and start eyeing each other. Inki tries to make the first move causing them to collapse. Phoebe holds onto the paper tight and using her magic she signs her name on the paper, Roxy is able to snag the paper and run to find a pen.

Jacob: WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?! GIVE ME THAT PAPER!

Phoebe puts a bubble over Jacob preventing him from moving

Jacob: PHOEBE WHY!?

Phoebe: I'm sorry my dear but we can't pass this up, we're taking this opportunity to become your wives.

Jacob: Don't I get a say in this?
Phoebe: Not anymore.

Jacob:WHAT?!

Roxy runs past Mirai who is holding a gold pen, as she reaches for it Sylvie snatches it and the paper, signing it as she runs with Roxy on her tail. After she finishes she decides to hand it over to Roxy who quickly grabs and signs it herself, Ale is next to sign the paper followed by Inki and Rose.

Once the paperwork signing had finished Phoebe dropped the bubble and Mirai took back the paper and handed it to Jacob who was pale.

Mirai: Seven wives with nine spots left should you want anymore.

Jacob: Seven, there are eight names on here.

Mirai: Yes, us seven and you make eight.

Jacob: No I mean eight not counting me.

Phoebe: Who else signed.

They look at the paper which reads.

Roxy: Liora, why did you sign?

Liora: I saw everyone else doing it and thought I should too.

Roxy: We signed it because we love Jake and always want to be with him.

Liora: I want to be with him and all of you too.

Phoebe: But you didn't need to sign the paper for that, we signed it to become his wives.

Liora: Well I want to be a wife too.

Inki: We aren't seriously allowing this are we?
Ale: I don't see why not, she cares for him just like we do.

Rose: She did try to protect him from that demon a couple of weeks ago.

Sylvie: I don't like it but, she's fond of Jake and all of us. I say it's fine.

Phoebe: You grew to care for her.

Sylvie: I just see no point in worrying since we are all his wife now.

Phoebe: I agree, what about you dear husband.

Jacob wasn't paying attention, he was sprawled on the ground from the stress he felt with everything happening.

Sylvie: Maybe we overdid it a little bit.

Inki: He'll be fine, the important thing is that he's finally my husband

Mirai: He's our husband dear co-wife.

Rose: I just can't wait to consummate the marriage.

Inki: I get to do it first.

Ale: No me, I am a princess after all.

Mirai: I'm a princess too and I was the one who brought the paperwork.

Roxy: We should let Jake decide.

Phoebe: That would be fair considering we just signed that paper against his wishes.

Sylvie: He'll be fine, He knew this is what would happen eventually. Mirai just helped us speed it up.

Liora walks over to the limp Jacob to check up on him. His eyes are glossy, the blood from his face has completely drained. She squats down by his face.

Liora: Are you okay?

Jacob doesn't say anything instead just makes grumbling noises. Rand the fake hero's old team finally catches up to Jacob and the others completely dumbstruck as to why the hero they'd heard so much about is currently flat on his back while his team is giddy and happy.

Warrior: Princess, what happened to the hero?
Mirai: He's just overwhelmed with having eight wives.

Priest: Eight! Is that allowed?

Mirai: With nobility it is.

Witch: How many wives can those of nobility have?
Mirai: Sixteen total

Witch: Oh wow. Hey, why don't you become a wife as well?

The Priest blushed but shook her head.
Priest: No I think he has enough on his hands I don't wanna cause more stress. Also I want to be someones one and only.

Mirai: I understand, but should you change your mind I'm sure he'd welcome you.

Priest: Thank you princess.

Warrior: Do you think he'll get back up soon, I'd like to test my strength against his.

Mirai: I don't think he'll be down much longer, I'd say five minutes.

While everyone is having fun and talking, someone yells at Mirai and everyone.

Perrot: So that's your husband huh?

Rand: Apparently he's supposed to be one of the heroes too.

The group looks at the top of a building where Perrot and Rand are standing looking down at them.

Mirai: Oh goodness. What do you two want?

Perrot: I plan on embarrassing you in front of your husband like you embarrassed me.

Rand: And I want to see what makes this common man a hero and not me.

Perrot: Surround them boys.

In an instant twenty to thirty knights surround Jacob and Mirais' group. Jacob hasn't been paying attention to anything going on as he's still overwhelmed with his marriage. Liora starts shaking him.

Liora: Please wake up, we need you.

Slowly Jacob starts focusing on what's happening and notices that the knights around them have drawn their weapons and are preparing to charge them.

Jacob: What's going on?

Liora: These people just showed up to attack us.

Jacob sits up and sees Perrot and Rand standing on top of the building grinning menacingly, he notices everyone around him taking fighting stances with their weapons.

Rand: So the "hero" is up, now face me.

Jacob: Who are you?
Rand: I'm the one who will defeat you and I will be the hero.

Jacob: I see.

Rand: Now draw your weapon.

Jacob: I'm good.

Rand: What, what do you mean you're "good"?

Jacob: I don't see a point in fighting you.

Rand: I'm not giving a choice so fight me.

Jacob: I don't wanna.

Rand has had enough of Jacob refusing his fight and jumps off the building gripping his sword tightly.

Rand: I'm not asking anymore you will fight me.

As he falls Rand swings his sword down trying to slice Jacob in half. Jacob just steps to the side dodging the attack. Rand continuously swings his sword at Jacob who keeps weaving out of his reach.

Rand: Why don't you draw your weapon and fight back, is it cause you're a coward?
Jacob: Do you see any weapons on me, I don't have any.

Rand: What, what do you mean you don't have any weapons?
They stop fighting and Rand takes a closer look at Jacob to see he's not lying.

Rand: How can a hero fight without weapons?

Jacob: Cause my ability is all I need for offense and defense and my girls for anything else I can't do.

Rand: What ability could be so great you don't need a weapon.

Jacob: Fiction Control.

Rand: Fiction Con-, What the hell is that?

Jacob: I guess I'll show since you attacked me first. HENSHIN!

A loud buzzing from a mechanical bug is heard by everyone. Phoebe, Sylvie and Roxy recognize it.

Sylvie: I remember that noise.

A red beetle flies in, landing on Jacobs waist. A metallic voice is heard repeating what Jacob said. HENSHIN. A second later Jacob is wearing a bulky suit of armor, on his shoulder the word ZECT is seen with a design of the red beetle.

Roxy: Wait, I don't remember it looking like that?

Rand was surprised and almost fell back, but he caught himself and charged at Jacob swinging his sword. He hit Jacob's armor, Jacob didn't flinch and his armor wasn't even scratched.

Rand: W-what is this?

Jacob flicked the metal beetle's horn, electricity charged up his arms while pieces of the armor proceeded to loosen and a whirring noise could be heard.

Jacob: Cast off.

Jacob flipped the horn to the other side and the metal noise sounded off as it sent the loose pieces flying in all directions "CAST OFF, CHANGE BEETLE".

Phoebe: That's the one I remember.

Rand: Wha-what is happening, where'd that suit come from?

Jacob: Like I said it's my ability, now, keep your eye on the beetle. CLOCK UP

He slapped the mechanism on his hip which repeated "CLOCK UP" and to everyone's shock he disappeared.

Warrior: Where'd he go?

Witch: He just disappeared.

Sylvie: Give it a second.

Priest: Huh?

As they looked around a grunt was heard and when they turned around they saw several of the knights either in the air or on the ground.

Warrior: W-what happened?
Roxy: We're not sure, but we know things are just getting started.

"1,2,3 RIDER KICK". In an instant several more knights were sent flying all around the area, some had their armor completely destroyed. "CLOCK OVER". Most of the knights still standing were scared and confused, the most scared was the knight face to face with Jacob. The knight was so scared he wet himself and ran away.

Perrot: Coward, where are you going?

Jacob: Probably to re-evaluate his life choices.

Jacob powers down the Kabuto suit and stares down the remaining knights. He gave them a menacing grin which made more run away. The ones remaining were shaking until an intense thud sounded.

Perrot: Took you long enough, Joce.

The behemoth man who was over seven feet tall and built like two oxen came stomping onto the battlefield. Jacob put his hands on his waist and whistled at the sight of Joce.

Jacob: Damn you really drink your milk don't you?

Joce didn't say anything, all that came out of his mouth were deep grunts. He looks at Perrot waiting for orders.

Jacob: Strong silent type this one.

Perrot: Talk is for politicians and clowns.

Jacob: What's the difference?

Perrot: Joce, time to hunt.

Upon hearing the order Joce tightened his muscles and threw a fast powerful punch down at Jacob. When it collided a powerful concussion sent everyone down to their knees or rear ends. Rand's old team is shocked by the power Joce has.

Witch: There's no way anyone could've lived a hit like that.

Priest: Poor hero.

Joce is confused, he can't pull his arm up. The others watching are starting to see the dust settle, and once it does the Warrior, Priest and Witch are shocked to see Jacob holding Joce fist, the only thing that happened was the ground caved and Jacob's shirt was destroyed showing the scars he received.

Priest: H-his body.

Warrior: What could've done that?

Witch: It looks like he fought an animal.

Phoebe: It was demons.

Warrior: Demons?

Inki: Those demons pushed him to his limits, this guy isn't even on the same planet as those demons. That's why Jake didn't wanna fight these knights.

Rand: This guy has fought with actual demons, and they did that kind of damage to him, why have I never heard of these incidents.

Sylvie: Because he's never broadcasted his battles or victories. He fought them without anyone even knowing they were happening, and he's never once asked for praise or fame. That's what a hero is.

Rand is scared, realizing he's made a mistake in picking a fight with a real hero. He wants to get up and leave but his legs wouldn't move from the pressure he felt coming from Jacob. Perrot looked angrily at Joce and screamed at him.

Perrot: JOCE WHY ARE YOU STANDING THERE, FINISH HIM OFF NOW!

Jacob: He can't, I'm stopping him from moving.

Perrot: YOU THINK I'LL BELIEVE THAT, JOCE. REGULUS FINISH.

Joce's eyes start to glow red and he bellows an inhuman roar forcing Jacob to let go and cover his ears. Once he's free he rounds his fist back and throws it again, this punch had visible energy behind it that had the shape of a lion's head. Jacob smiled and matched his energy.

Jacob: Keep that energy big guy and see how you handle this. DRAGON FIST!

Jacob throws his fist in response and the energy becomes a dragon. Once their fists collide the energies mix showing a sight of a lion fighting a dragon. Everyone is shocked, amazed and terrified. Mirai is amazed seeing his power in person, having only read about it or seen the aftermath of his fights. Very quickly the lion was overtaken by the dragon and Jacob ended up punching Joce hard in the stomach sending him flying several blocks and landing unconscious and broken.

Jacob: Well that was fun.

Jacob dusts off his hands and looks at Perrot who is shaking and sweating from fear. He stumbles back before tripping and falling off the roof. He crashes face first onto the ground knocking himself out. Rand finally got his legs to work and tried to run fast.

Warrior: Hey wait you fake.

Jacob looked at him and in an instant shot in front of him, and as Rand tried to slow down Jacob charged lightning into his right arm and tightened his muscles.

Jacob: Going somewhere, LIGHTNING LARIAT!

He threw his forearm hard into Rand's neck sending him flying back towards the building. Rand hit the wall so hard bones could be heard breaking and he was knocked out landing next to Perrot.

Jacob: Well that's that.

Warrior: T-that was incredible.

Wizard: He's s-so strong.

Priest: He's the real deal, a real hero.

Mirai: I told you.

The trio looked at their fallen ex leader and then looked at Jacob covered in scars, they finished by looking at each other, smiled and nodded. The three walked up to Jacob and bowed on one knee. Jacob looked at them confused.

Warrior: Sir Jacob, my name Gunnar I am a warrior from the land of Azmar.

Witch: I am Norae, I come from the village of Black Crystal.

Priest: I am Lily, and I come from Caelfall

Trio: Please allow us to join you on your journey to fight the demon lord.

Jacob: Uhhhhhh.

The trio still kneel with their heads down and eyes closed waiting for a response. Jacob looks towards the girls who just laugh. He puts his hand on his head and sighed.

Jacob: Alright you three stand up, I hate dealing with formality.

The trio shocked, listened and stood up.

Jacob: Okay, why do you want to join us?
Gunnar: I want to protect the people I love and with the demon lord wreaking havoc they won't know peace.

Jacob: Okay interesting.

Norae: I want to prove myself and prove to everyone I'm a useful person.

Jacob: Uh-huh.

Lily: I believe the gods have placed a mission on me to guide a hero to victory, and I will follow my mission.

Jacob: Okay so, Gunnar is the only one who's reason resonates with me, but if you aren't scared of facing demons and you truly wish to bring peace to the world then I'll let you join.

The trio look at Jacob and smile, they thank him for letting them join. That's when Inki and Rose ran up and hugged an arm of Jacob.

Rose: But remember ladies, Jacob has eight wives and we can't take anymore at the moment.

Inki: Yeah, so don't try anything funny.

Lily and Norae gave a nervous laugh while sweat trickled their faces. Norae did hold Gunnar's arm.

Norae: You don't have to worry about me, I'm with Gunnar here.

Inki: Good.

Jacob: Girls can you give me a moment so I can talk to them.

Rose: But I haven't had a chance to cuddle up to you for hours.

Jacob sighs frustrated. Mirai walks up in between Jacob and the new trio.

Mirai: So now our team has twelve members. We have manpower to defeat the demon lord now, well dear husband what do you think our odds of defeating him are?
Jacob: Well once I get a chance to see Marco and Ron's teams I'd get a better gauge. But with everyone here right now I think we've got a good chance.

Everyone liked his answer and they went on to the guildhall to add Gunnar, Norae, Lily and Mirai to the team and see their levels. In the days since arriving and gaining new members the team dynamic switched up with Norae working with Rose quite a bit to learn more about ice magic. Gunnar who was initially hesitant worked with Roxy and after a bit their teamwork improved and Gunnar started to see Roxy as a teammate and not an "animal" like every person who saw her did. Lily spent her time with Phoebe learning more about priest magic, Phoebe also taught her more about life since she was so much younger. Lily came to see Phoebe as an older sister and loved her company.
Because they forgot to see the noble Rose had to use the dragon's eye to make Liora a charm to disguise herself, the charm she chose was a wedding band since being married made her happy. They chose to keep Liora's identity a secret from Mirai, Gunnar, Lily and Norae not wanting too many people to know a demon was on their team. The girls found being married to Jacob came with perks like using the springs to bathe with him, even though it made him uncomfortable being around several naked women. They would tease him every time they bathed because they thought his nervousness was cute. They also found trying to cuddle with him a struggle since the eight of them would fight about who would lay where with him until he threatened to not let any of them cuddle with him, so they made a schedule for who cuddled where what night. Gunnar and his group found spending time with Jacob and the girls to be fun, when they thought back about their time with Rand all they could remember was a narcissist who used his fake title to sleep with women and deal final blows to take the glory of the kill against different beasts.

They loved being with Jacob, a true hero who never did anything like Rand did.
