Aleatha

I gritted my teeth in frustration. I had been out here for ages. Why couldn't I find it?

"Why the hell can't I find the Nemeton? It should be right here! I can sense it, but I can't see it!" I hit a tree with my hand.

It stung, but that was expected. I used my magic to heal my hand. I looked up and there it was.

What? Why can I see it now?

I looked down at my hands. I was using magic. That's right! The tree draws the supernatural to it. So when I use my magic I can find it. I walked up to it. I sat down. I remember the power I felt coming from the tree earlier. I knew it was dangerous, but maybe it had the answers I needed. I didn't care for the answers I received from any of the beings I had met. It didn't really give me the answers to my questions. I laid back on the tree. I let my powers spread out over the tree.

I need answers.

Everything went black.

"Girl," someone was shaking me, "wake up!"

My eyes shot open. I was on my feet and growling. I was ready to fight. It was Peter. I also saw Derek.

"You're awake! Now I need you to calm down." I growled at Peter.

"Aleatha," I turned to Derek.

I felt angry. Not at Derek, but definitely with Peter. Something about him made me want to rip him to pieces.

"You need to calm down, Aleatha. You need to gain control. You're a wolf." Wolf?

I glanced down at my hands. Claws? I had claws! I glanced at Derek and Peter. They were surrounded by wolfsbane. How did I know what that was? How was it growing?

"Stupid girl," I growled at Peter, "Aleatha?"

I looked back at Derek, "find something that calms you. Find it and focus on it."

I looked around. My eyes landed on Peter. Something about him drew me to him. Yet right now I felt like killing him. I didn't like it. I focused on the trees around me. I had always had a strong bond with nature. It worked. I felt calm and I was keeping my wolf under control. I smiled at Derek.

"What are you both doing here? How did you find me," I looked around, "wait. How long has it been since I last saw you both?"

"It's the full moon," Peter crossed his arms, "now can you please remove the wolfsbane from around us." What?

I shouldn't have known what the plant was around them, but I did. I knew it was wolfsbane. I wasn't sure if I still had my magic. I would try no matter what. I focused on the plants. It was deadly to them, just like it was deadly to me.

Recede.

Slowly but surely they did. I was surprised. I still had my magic! Even though I was a wolf I was still blessed with nature's gift. I smiled. The plants vanished completely. I didn't lose my connection to nature. I could feel the pull of the full moon, but I felt happy.

"So what the hell is she?" My head snapped in Peter's direction.

What the hell is his problem? Can't he just keep his mouth shut for once?

"I am a werewolf. I figured that would be clear to you, Peter." I smiled at him.

He looked irritated. I jumped off the Nemeton. I turned back to look at it. I was still part elf because of it. I still retained my magic even as a werewolf. I still would live my 900 years. I wasn't sure why it granted my wish, but I would be thankful for the time it gave me.

Thank you.

I turned back to Peter and Derek.

"How were you able to find me? I know it would've been hard seeing as I was passed out upon the tree. It wasn't easy to find the Nemeton so how did you two manage?" Peter scoffed.

"We followed your scent. It was hard to miss. You smell like lilacs." Derek looked surprised.

I wondered why.

"Well whatever. I assume you're both here for a reason so spit it out." Peter scoffed.

"As if we need a newly turned werewolf with weird magical powers. You'll probably be more of a nuisance than anything," I looked at Derek, "can I seal his mouth shut? He isn't very helpful unless it suits his own needs is he?"

Peter was angry. I scoffed. I didn't care right now.

"Look, whatever has taken root in your clearly power hungry head needs to leave. We do not have time for your petty plans. Now shall we get to it?" Derek smiled at me.

"I like you," Peter huffed and turned away.

Childish.

"It's Stiles," I was only gone two days, "we have tried tracking him by scent. That hasn't worked. We came to the decision that we needed you. Especially since you were able to find the wolf who turned you with just his claw."

"When did he vanish?" Derek gritted his teeth.

"Just after you did. We had his scent and then we lost it." He disappeared after I did?

That can't be good.

"Take me to his home, quickly." I hoped the human boy was okay.
