I woke up in a building I didn't recognize. I stepped out and flinched at the light. I turned to look at the building I was in and I realized it was the Salvatore Crypt from the show the Vampire Diaries.
"No! No, no, no, no! Dammit!" I started walking towards the entrance of the cemetery.
This was bad. I looked around and found a not so clear pathway. I followed it. I followed it until I found a road. I walked for awhile until I saw a house through the trees. When I saw the house, fear assaulted me. It was the Salvatore house and Damon's car just happened to be out front. Great. I took a deep breath and walked up to the door. I knocked, then I waited. I opened the door and looked inside. I stepped in closing the door behind me.
"Hello, is anyone home?" I heard a whoosh.
Damon Salvatore was standing in front of me. Great.
"Who are you?" His pupils dilated.
"I'm Serana." I bit my tongue.
"Why are you here?" His eyes dilated again as he tried to compel me.
I didn't understand why it wasn't working. I didn't feel the need to actually tell him anything. However I wasn't going to lie to him about why I was here.
"I'm here to talk to you." I said.
"About what?" He asked.
"Katherine. I have information." I said.
"How do you know Katherine?" He asked.
"Quit compelling me and I'll tell you." He smirked and then had me by the throat.
"Tell me." He growled.
"She's not in the tomb. She has been in Chicago this whole time Damon." I choked out and he let me go.
I started coughing as I caught my breath.
"You better not be screwing with me." I sighed.
"I'm not gonna screw or lie to you, Damon. You can kill me and frankly I'm not going to do what Stefen and Elena will do to you. I am here to solely help you find Katherine. I know you don't know me but I think it's best we go." I cleared my throat.
Damn. Don't piss him off Serana. He glared at me.
"Look, do you want to find her or not? I know you do. I am going with you because I know a lot that you don't. I'm going to be there to catch the broken pieces that will be left after we find her. Now let me borrow some of your clothes." I didn't even wait for his response.
I sighed when I was in some clean clothes and went back downstairs. Damon was pacing and jingling his keys.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
"No. I need to eat something." I went into their kitchen and made something.
"You know what? I think you're screwing with me. I don't know you so why should I believe you?" He asked.
I looked up from the sandwich I was making. I walked up to him and grabbed his chin making him look me in the eye. Did I have a death wish?
"Why? Why should you believe me? Damon, I won't lie to you. I won't cover up the fact I know she isn't there. I will always be honest with you." I let him go.
I was walked back over to the counter when a loud knock sounded through the house. I turned and then I heard grunting. I ran out to find Damon with a stake in his chest. There was a hunter. I cursed and grabbed something. I threw it at the hunter. I heard a sickening thud and I fell to my knees. I made my way to Damon and pulled out the stake. He looked up at me. He was skeptical of me. I could see it in his eyes. I would be skeptical of me as well. Then he saw the stake sticking out of my chest. He grabbed me and we were upstairs. He bit his wrist and shoved it against my mouth. I already knew why so I drank. He ripped the stake out. It hurt like a fucker when he pulled it out.
"Just go. Find the smallest town in Chicago. Leave me with the hunter. He'll torture me and then most likely kill me when he is done. Go Damon. Find Katherine." I pushed him towards the window.
He turned and gripped my arm. He was angry. He didn't trust me. I knew he wouldn't, but it would be a lot easier if he did.
"Did you bring him here?" Damon squeezed my arm super tight.
"No! He fucking staked me! I don't even fucking know him! I've never seen him before!" I flinched as I felt another stake enter my body.
I tumbled towards Damon gritting my teeth. He grabbed me and we were in his car. I was bent forward trying to breathe as he pulled out of the driveway. He drove for a while and I was pissed he hadn't pulled it out.
"Damon! Please pull it out." I growled between my teeth.
I didn't look at him. I focused on breathing and not dying. Then he pulled it out. I hissed. He rolled his window down and tossed it.
"You stay like that, I don't want blood on my seat." I stripped my shirt off.
I folded it and wiped the blood off me. Irritating. I bit my lip as I maneuvered my seat belt on. I made sure to keep my back from touching the seat by laying the shirt over the seat. I leaned back.
"What are you doing?" Damon asked.
"Keeping the blood off your seat, you've killed for less." I looked at him.
He was staring at my black lacy bra. I frowned at him.
"Eyes on the road Damon." I looked away before he saw my blush.
I have no doubt he heard my heart hammering in my chest though. The rest of the ride was uncomfortable. I was agitated. Once nightfall hit I started getting tired. I had also started to get cold so I turned the heater on. I readjusted in the seat. I leaned against Damon. Not the best choice. A part of my mind nagged that he would kill me but I didn't care. It had been a long stressful day and there would be many more like it. I passed out.
