After the wine we had sex again. Afterwards we just cuddled together in bed until we both fell asleep. I woke up and just watched Damon sleep. I couldn't believe this was real. I also felt weird and out of place. I was still 16. I knew that Bonnie and Elena had already graduated. They had matured since I last saw them. However, Elena was not ready for the real world. I could see that she was not ready for the normal things life would throw her way. Normally I probably wouldn't be much better, but switching worlds is a big decision. I felt sad I would never see my family again, but I would live life the best I could in this other world. Which meant getting an identity in this world, but also being there for Damon. I heard a loud bang and yelling. I groaned and scooted closer to Damon. The door burst open and I groaned. Damon was awake. He pulled me closer to him.
"What the hell is this?!" The voice I heard made my blood run cold.
Impossible. She can't be here.
"I want my daughter! I won't let another filthy vampire have her!" I new this wasn't my mother.
At least not this world version. There was no possible way. I saw Klaus and Elijah kill her when they showed me how they came upon Serana in the first place. If she was here it meant someone or something knew I was from another world.
"Damon, who is this woman? I've never met her in my life." I did my best to keep the fear out of my voice.
Then Damon and Stefen had her bound with ropes. I pulled the blanket up and looked at her. She looked like the woman who could be my mother, but I knew she wasn't. She was this world's version of my mother. She didn't have the scar just below her hairline. I was pissed. I had just gotten to relax and now I had to deal with this Bitch. I was scared. I really was. I couldn't let her see it though. I pulled the sheet around me and walked to the woman.
"My baby Serana. My beautiful baby girl. I've been trying to find you. It's almost your 19th birthday." I smirked.
I was super thankful for the two year difference between this world and mine.
"I'm sorry but I don't know you. I've never met you in my life. Oh and for your information, I'm not turning 19," I smiled at her, "I'm turning 17."
She looked confused. She studied my face and I saw her aura. It was dark and all sorts of green, black, and red. There was no soul.
"You aren't alive." She froze and looked alarmed.
"What are you talking about, baby?" My brain went into full deductive mode.
"You aren't even supposed to be in the land of the living, but on the other side. You're nothing but a corpse clearly brought back with dark magic." I spread out my magic.
I didn't know anything about really casting magic, I had no grimoire. So I took a gamble and made something up.
Ñåtûrę, thę pûręśt mågįç whęrę mÿ pøwęr çømęś frøm, Į åśk ÿøû tø hęłp mę. Å wømåñ whø håś łøñg bęęñ dęåd håś bęęñ brøûght båçk thrøûgh thę ûśę øf dårk mågįç. Hęłp mę rįght thįś wrøñg åñd rętûrñ thę śøûłłęśś bødÿ frøm whęrę įt çåmę.
Nothing at first happened, but then I felt it. A window opened. I felt the breeze and the water. I saw the twigs and the dirt.
"Damon, Stefen I need you leave and close the door." Damon looked scared.
"You aren't natural, you were made by magic, not nature. I just don't want you to be caught in the crossfire. I'll be safe. I'll come down when I am done." I heard a little tremble exposing itself in my voice.
Stefen left and Damon looked at me.
"I love you." Tears welled up in my eyes.
"I love you too." I smiled at him.
He left and shut the door. The elements started flying around her body faster.
"Take this body and return it to where it came from. Let the water bring the salt to cleanse and wood bring the fire to purify. May the wind carry you to your resting place so the earth can swallow you whole." I watched as her body became nothing but bones.
I fell to my knees as the bones flew out the window. My whole body started shaking in fear. The door opened and Damon walked in. He rushed over to me and pulled me into his arms.
"Serana? What was that?" I couldn't answer him.
I was still shaking. He picked me up and set me on the bed.
"Baby?" I finally snapped out of it.
"I don't know what that was. I was so scared. I tried to stay strong and not let her see how much she scared me. What was that? I know enough about your world that I know witches can't do magic without a grimoire. So what was that?" Damon held my hands in his.
"I don't know. I know where you can go to get answers. I'm not allowed in though." He mumbled.
"What do you mean?" I thought of a place he couldn't go.
Burial Grounds.
"It's the old Burial Grounds." He answered the same time I did.
He stood up and helped me up. We sat on the bed together. I leaned into him.
"Why would that place have answers?" I knew the answer to that.
"Witches reside there. They don't like me, but I'm sure they could give you the answers you need." I bit my lip.
I wanted to, but I don't know if they will accept me in the building. I wasn't from this world and they would be able to know that the minute I stepped foot into the building.
"I'm willing to go if it means answers. If you come I won't let them hurt you." Damon smiled at me.
"I know, baby." I kissed him.
He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around him. He chuckled.
"Careful Serana. I might take you again." He smirked at me.
"I'd be okay with that." I smiled at him.
He kissed me hard and I bit his bottom lip. He pulled away.
"We have all the time in the world. We should head to the Burial Grounds." He groaned.
I smiled and kissed him again. He picked me up.
"You're right." He set me down on the floor.
"Let's get you dressed. We should probably leave as soon as possible." He went to his dresser and pulled out some of his clothes for me.
"We will go shopping after this." He smirked at me.
"I really appreciate it, Damon. Though I might have to do it with someone else. I need real clothes Damon," I laughed at the offended look on his face, "I love you so much."
I leaned up and wrapped my arms around his neck. I kissed him.
