Aura White barely managed to catch herself before reacting to the smell coming from her locker. Good God there was something dead in there. It was a smell she was familiar with, after all she was a Wolfblood and like the rest of her pack, she hunted in Miller Woods and the National Forest that were on either end of Sunnydale. But that didn't mean she brought dead things home and put them in her locker! She wasn't a werewolf, she had a brain even in wolf form! Which meant someone had invaded both her personal territory and her pack's. This wasn't going to go over well with anyone. She caught her Alpha's eye and knew by her expression that she smelled it too. Cordelia signaled her to stay where she was and watched her go over to the coach's office door.

"Coach, I forgot to tell you, Aura has a family situation, she needs to go home early." Cordelia informed the PE Coach.

"Fine." The coach said grumpily, it irked her that some of the students, rich ones like Chase and White and star athletes could come and go as they wanted. If she protested, she'd be the one who got chewed on by the Vice Principal, not the kids. As soon as Aura had permission she left the locker room looking for the other Alpha of their pack, Alex Harris, she knew this was his free period and he could deal with whatever the dead thing in her locker was. And maybe figure out who had put it there. Alex had an ability called Anseim, the ability to 'hear' the voice of those that died traumatically. If it was a dead human in her locker, Alex could find out who made them that way and the pack could answer the challenge. Because what else do you call a body put in the locker of a Wolfblood? Unless whoever put in there didn't know there were Wolfbloods in Sunnydale and it was completely random, which was an unfortunate possibility given vampires liked to hang out in Sunnydale too. Aura winced at that thought, because honestly they stank too. But they were dead too, so of course they stank.

"Alex, there you are." Aura increased her pace when she spotted him. "I need to talk to you."

"Sure, Aura. What's up?"

"Outside." She answered. Alex narrowed his eyes slightly and inhaled, catching her scent and grimaced when the dead scent hit him and nodded. He followed her outside and the two kept an ear out for anyone nearby who might hear them talking.

"Where?" Was all he asked.

"My gym locker, I'm kinda stuffed up from the cold I'm getting over, I didn't smell it until I was at my locker. Cordelia could smell it from across the room."

"I've got a free period now, I'll deal with it." He assured her grimly, he could get it out of the school since everyone would be in class and no one should be around to see him. It would also give him the chance to 'hear' the victim and determine if another Wolfblood did this. Another pack moving into their territory or a wild or packless Wolfblood were both possibilities, but like Aura, Alex was well aware that it could also be a vampire. They needed to be discouraged from leaving their leftovers around too.

"I'm going home, Cordelia told the coach I've got a family thing, I'll let my father know and he can let the Prime Alpha know."

"Yeah, Cordy's dad will want to know. See you later." Still looking grim, Alex headed for the girl's locker room, using his heightened sense of hearing and smell to alert him if someone was around. Once he was sure the locker room was clear, he went in and followed the smell to Aura's locker and opened it, grimacing as the stench got worse. In wolf form he killed and ate animals, but he wasn't a scavenger, so rot wasn't a pleasant smell for him. He pulled the body of a student, a normal human, out of the locker after noting the wound on the neck and hoisted him on his shoulder and quickly found the fire exit from the locker room that led directly outside. He walked to the parking lot and his car and put the body in the trunk. Wolfboods had too much to hide to risk dealing with police, so disposing of it was the only option. He was driving toward his Uncle Rory's place where he could dispose of it when he 'heard' the student's voice. Among the last things the student had said, if he'd been a skeleton, Alex would have also 'seen' the last moments of the students life.

"You don't need to worry, the school's empty. It's just us." The student's voice. Pause as the student listened to the response of who he was talking to.

"No, I didn't hear anything."

"What the Hell?! What's wrong with your face?! Ahhh!"

"Great, so a vampire got him." Alex muttered. "And about the only thing I have to go on is I know he definitely preferred girls to guys, so he would have been in the school with a female vampire. Which means him ending up in Aura's locker was just coincidence, probably. Vamps like weak victims and while individually we're not as strong as them, we tend to stick to our packs and that definitely makes us stronger than them. Still, if we run into a female vamp anytime soon, we can just shred her. It's a public service, after all." He parked outside his Uncle's house, which was on a ten acre area outside Sunnydale. "Uncle Rory, I've got a clean up deal." He called to his Uncle, who he could see working on a car in his garage, he owned a junkyard and restored many of the cars for extra money. It gave him a nice nest egg.

"Where'd it come from?" Rory called back, as he watched Alex pull the body out of the trunk.

"Aura's locker."

"At the school?!"

"Vamp got him."

"Well damn, rats on two legs. Alright, let's get rid of it."

Yeah, not a fun activity.
