Chapter 1: New Life

It was a dark and stormy night, a African American woman with long black hair with dark brown eyes and she was making her way towards the Hospital. She was walking the streets of New York. She was clutching her pregnant as she was in a lot of pain. She was panting hard and biting her lower lip.

"I need to get to the Hospital."

She was using the building as her support as she continued to walk towards the was hospital. Then an ambulance pulled on the curve as the driver noticed her and got out of the truck.

"Ma'am, are you alright?"

"Do I look fucking alright to you? I am about to give birth out on these streets. I'm trying to get to my doctor."

Driver looked at his partner as she got out of the truck and pulled out a stretcher. The driver started to help her towards the stretcher. They both loaded her up into the truck as it drove off. It takes about several minutes for the ambulance to arrive at the hospital.

"I hope that she is here."

The woman was carried into the building. She was rushed into the delivery room. A woman with long black hair, but she kept it in a ponytail, she was wearing green scrubs. With her, was another woman with short blonde hair. Their names are Sarah and Candice Kruger.

"Ah, it's good to see you again, Rena. Are you ready to get this baby out of you?" Sarah asked.

"Yes, I am." Rena said.

Rena was breathing rapidly as she started to push while Candice was watching Rita's vitals. Rita started to push once again. Sarah was looking at the baby's feet.

"You're doing great, Rena. I can see the baby's feet." Sarah said.

Candice noticed something was off about Rena's vitals. She looked at Sarah.

"Doctor, we have a problem with Rena's vitals." Candice said.

"Not now, Candice." Sarah said,

Rena pushed even more as she let out a scream as she heard a cry sound. Sarah wrapped the baby in a blue blanket. Sarah was smiling as she was carrying the baby over to Rita. Sarah handed the baby over to her. Rita was panting and she held her newborn baby boy. She was looking at her son as he had dark skin. The baby boy slowly opened his eyes to reveal he has dark green eyes.

"He's so beautiful." Rena said.

Candice walked over to Sarah as she had a sad look on her face. she whispered something in Sarah's ear which caused her eyes to widen.

"You are going to be a good boy. I know that the world can be a cruel place to live, but I will be watching over you. Alvin James…"

Rena's heart rate machine started to flat line which Sarah ran towards Rita's bedside as Candice started to move Alvin away. She called every hospital personnel to try to revive Rena, but the deed was done. They all tried their best to revive her but she was gone which Sarah and her co-workers started to call it. They all started to leave which Sarah sighed as she was looking Candice who was still holding Alvin.

"Should we alert Rena's family?" Candice asked.

"Yes, that way Alvin had other family members that would love to care for him." Sarah said.

Candice walked away to place Alvin in the nursery ward. Sarah walked to her office and made some calls to Rita's family.

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I wanted to let you know that your daughter had passed away from childbirth." Sarah informed them.

"Did the baby survive?" Mrs. Smith asked.

"Well, yes. He is a healthy baby boy." Sarah said.

"Damn…We told her to abort that brat." Mrs. Smith said. "We don't want anything to with that brat."

"But Mrs. Smith…"

The phone was hung up as Sarah was looking at her computer to see that Rita had two brothers. She started to call them to explain the situation about their sisters' death and how her son had survived the birth. She got an ear full from both of them and they both hung up on her. She let out a rage. She tried other family members who got the same thing from them. Then Candice came into Sarah's office to see that there were papers scattered over the floor.

"What happened?" Candice asked.

"Those assholes. They wanted the child to die with his mother. They can't blame a child for surviving instead of his mother. They are so heartless." Sarah said.

"So, what do you want to do? Put him up at an orphanage?" Candice asked.

"Hell no. He deserves a family that will love him. I am gonna take him to our family." Sarah said.

"You know that our husband is not going to like it." Candice said.

"Oh please, we have ways to persuade him." Sarah said.

Candice giggled as she knew what Sarah was talking about. Sarah was looking at Alvin's birth certificate. She was filling out the details and to get his social security card as she was looking at the security cameras to the nursery room where Alvin was placed into a nursery crib.

"I know that you will be well taken care of." Sarah said.

=== Time Skip ===

Sarah and Candice pulled up in the driveway and they both got out of the car. They both walk into an oversized house with a baby who is sound asleep. They both were walking into a study room where a man with short brown hair was dressed in a black vest with a white button up t-shirt and black pants with Forest green eyes. He turned around to see Sarah who walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek.

"Sarah, Candice, welcome home."

"John, I got a gift for you." Sarah said.

John was looking at Candice, his second wife carrying Alvin. He was looking at Sarah with a raised brow. He looked closely and he poked Alvin's cheeks.

He's not mine, is he?" John asked.

"No." Sarah and Candice said.

He started giggling as John just chuckled to himself. Candice was walking Alvin to a room that was a nursery. She placed Alvin in a crib right next to another baby.

"Alvin, this is Sean. I hope you two can get along." Candice said.

She placed the blanket over Alvin as she gently kissed him on the forehead. She walked out of the room and made her way to the study room. She sit down on the couch while John was standing in front of the fireplace. fle was clenching his sleeves as gritted his teeth.

"I take it that she told you everything, dear." Candice assumed.

"Yes and I am beyond pissed. Those bastards blamed a baby for being born. They expect too much for Rita. First, they tried to force her to marry me for my money, which I gladly refused. Rena deserves better parents. Second, I knew that they were in debt because both of her mom and dad have a damn gambling problem." John said.

"So, what now?" Sarah asked.

Then a sly smirk appeared on John's face. He turned to face his wives as he walked up to the both of them. They both were looking at him with confusion as he kissed the both of them.

"Let's show those money grubbing parents of Rita what would happen when you miss John Kruger's friend." John said.

"I know that look. What do you have planned?" sarah asked.

John was stroking his chin as he walked out of the room. Both of his wives were exchanging looks. Then he popped his head back into the room.

"I am gonna make some calls. Tomorrow, keep go out on the news." John said.

He left the room again.

Next day

Both Sarah and Candice were taking care of the two infants. They both were watching tv until it was interrupted by the news.

"Breaking news, the home of Robert and Diane was raided by police officers. Apparently there was an anonymous tip about a harverbing an escape convict that was wanted by police. A SWAT team stormed the house. There was a shoot out within the house. We got word that the shooter was an escaped convict who was identified as Lamar Smith. He was wanted by the state for multiple counts of murder."

Both Sarah and Candice raised up as they both continued to watch the news. Then they both saw several police officers walking out of the house. The anchor woman placed her hand on her earpiece as she was receiving an update.

"What's that… It seems that we have received an update that the shooting has ceased. And that Lamar Smith had died. Both Robert and Diane are devastated for the lost of their son."

The two moms were watching as the ambulance team came in and carried the body out in a body bag. Sarah was shaking her head at the scene. Candice was gently bouncing Alvin up and down. He was giggling as she was smiling at him.

"I'm home." John called out.

"We're in the living room, babe." Sarah called out.

John came into the room and walked over his wives and kissed them on the forehead. He turned his head to look at the tv screen.

"Huh? I see that the police got my anonymous info." John said.

He was adjusting his tie as both Sarah and Candice were looking at him.

"What? It needed to be done, they were hiding an escaped convict and that made them think twice for abandoning an innocent baby." John said.

"What do you think their sentences are going to be?" Candice asked.

"Simple for aiding and abetting with a criminal, they will not be able to get out soon. Because that criminal committed an amount of murdered on their custody. And to top it off, they covered it up." Sean Informed them.

"How did you know about that?" Sarah asked.

"Well, I have hired a PI to do some investigating on her part. And her info is completely solid." John said.

"And you sent out an anonymous call to the police office." Candice said.

"Bingo." John said.

"Well, we have a good family to raise. So, we're going to head back to Greece." Sarah said.

"Yup and we introduce him to the other children that would love to meet him." Candice said.

"I agree." Sarah said.

"I've booked the next flight to Greece today. We'll be out of here before those idiots figure it out." John said.

=== Time Skp. Greece ===

It took about twelve hours to reach the Kruger family household and the car pulled up in the driveway. John grabbed Sean's car seat while Sarah grabbed Alvin's car seat and the three of them walked inside the big mansion that stood three feet tall. Once they opened the door, two kids came running down the stairs.

"Mommy, Daddy, welcome home."

"Mama."

Candice opened as a young four year old boy with short white hair and green eyes was running towards her and hugged her. Then a young five year old girl with dark brown hair was running towards John and stopped.

"Hey there kiddos. Have you two been good while we're away?" John asked.

"Yup. The nanny was a great help too."

"I sure hope she was, Jenny." Sarah said

"She and Marvin have been excellent children, Lady Kruger."

She turned her head to look at a woman with long crimson hair with green eyes. She was dressed in white dress. She was made it to the bottom of the stair. She bow to the three of them.

"Oh, Vanelana, that's great news to hear. I have someone that you two should meet." Sarah said.

John and Sarah set both car seats down in front of them. Both of them were looking inside of the car and they both smiled at what they see before them.

"Babies." Jenny said.

"Yes, Jenny. These are you baby brothers, Sean and Alvin." candice said

"Baby brothers," Jenny said.

She offered her fingers to both Alvin and sean as they slowly grabbed her fingers and gave her a smile which cause her to giggle. Marvin was looking at Sean and Alvin before looking back at his parents.

"Marvin, this is Alvin James Smith. He is going to be your new brother." John said,

"Brother?" Marvin asked.

Sarah looked at him with a warm smile.

"Yes, he's going to need his big brother to teach him." Sarah said.

"Sean too?" Marvin asked.

John chuckled to himself as he picked Marvin up.

"Yes Sean too." John said.

Marvin smiled as they all went into the living room. Candice and Sarah placed both car seats down and got both Sean and Alvin out of their car seats. Jenny was sitting next to Sarah as she kissed Sean on the forehead causing him to giggled and cooed. Candice handed Alvin over to John as he was looking at him.

"You will be a great member of this family. I know that your mother would have wanted to raise you herself but I will take great care of you." John said.

Alvin was giggling as John kissedh im on his forehead. Candice smiled before she kissed Alvin's head.

A/n: Wow I know that it was going to be short but I wanted to get this story off the ground.
