I decided to share this chapter a little earlier, and to keep this story going! Sheldon deserves a little bit of love this month ;)
Chapter 8:
Sheldon waited outside the restaurant. He could tell that was Amy sitting inside. She described herself as modestly dress and reminded Sheldon that she would be wearing a red hat for identification purposes. He was debating to enter the restaurant. After all, this one decision could change the entire course of humanity. Could he really take the risk of not going inside?
He felt three consecutive taps on his shoulder and all of a sudden he saw the faces of Penny, Raj and Howard.
"Why are all three of you here? Where's Leonard?", said Sheldon.
Penny wince a little but Howard mentioned that Leonard was back in the apartment. "We wanted to see you off on your date?"continue Howard, while straining to see above Sheldon's head into the restaurant.
"Well, I didn't need all of this fanfare" said Sheldon.
Raj whisper to Howard, "Of course he does". Howard shouted "Of course you do! Raj agrees, we all agree. Except Leonard since he thought you were bluffing"
"Me bluffing! I am about to change your lives, my life, and the very course of humanity with this date! I don't need the fanfare. I am going inside and I am going to win over Amy with all of this charm. You'll see! I will change everything !" Sheldon shouted as he entered the crowded restaurant.
Penny, Raj, and Howard all stare at one another in shock. But they saw how quickly Sheldon composed himself. Sheldon sat down in front of the mysterious woman in the red hat, and pulled a rose from the coat of his jacket, along with several textbooks written by Albert Einstein.
Howard quickly ran into the restaurant. Unfortunately, the sudden flash coming from his cellphone shocked everyone in the restaurant and he was escorted out.
He cradled the cellphone in his hand and showed the picture capture in his cellphone. Both Sheldon and Amy were looking at the camera, awkwardly, but they were holding hands.
Howard, Penny thought, had actually caught Sheldon on his first date! They had real evidence that Sheldon had a romantic side!
