26. Chapter 26

Chapter 26: Cold Wars Part 1

Madara sat in a bunker underneath the mountain graveyard with his eyes closed. He was floating with his legs crossed and his hands connected in the ram seal. His body glowed a white hue outlined with the ethereal aura. His aura and several other torches along the corridor lit the room for them to see.

"What's he doing?" White Zetsu asked

"He's resonating with the Geto statue. His Rinnegan is taming it along with the blood of the sage so that he may be able to summon it." Black Zetsu said

"Yes, by doing this we will be able to seal the tailed beasts again." Sosetsu said as he walked up next to them.

"what's the plan moving forward?" Black Zetsu asked

"We shall continue to hunt the jinchuriki via white Zetsu, but at a much slower pace. We've recently found the 6 tails and are moving in on him" Sosetsu said

"Humph, looks like he can be useful without me." Black Zetsu said

"We will also be helping Farruko take the Land of Whirlpools soon. He has given us several deals including the Seal of Abaddon and a unique 5 Pronged Chakra Seal to stop Jinchuriki from using their tailed beast chakra." Sosetsu said

"Will you be doing the same? Bonding to the statue?" White Zetsu asked

"Of course. We also need to hurry and gather them all so we can get rid of these Arcosian threats. Capturing all the tailed beasts will be instrumental in that." Sosetsu said

"Speaking of which, will the Uzumaki participate in our war with the 5 great nations?" Zetsu asked

"Yes. Our assault will begin after capturing 3 more tailed beasts and killing the 5 Kage at their next Summit in the Hidden Whirlpool." Sosetsu said

"What if the Namikaze Brothers show up?" Zetsu

"Giblet has received a strength that trumps them both from Towa. If need be he will use it as well as Madara himself and Yakon. We have also received more reinforcements from her and we'll be using them in the upcoming war as well. We will take the Whirlpool or at least kill their Uzukage." Sosetsu said

"Hmm. What will you do once we get all tailed beasts? Giblet wants them for himself after all." He asked

"We'll kill him of course. Then we shall activate the infinite Tsukuyomi." Sosetsu said as he folded his arms

Sozu was sitting in the study of the Hyuga clan head once again.

"What is your answer Sozu? I would even agree to vouch for Mukai upon his return. If he were to come back and make him a member of the Hyuga as well."

"Why now? What's different about now versus then?" Sozu asked as their eyes locked

"I am working to dissolve the branch and main houses to make everyone equal. In my years of age I've realized that family matters more than anything along with creating a universal seal to protect the Byakugan upon the death of its user thanks to Naruto Uzumaki and Lord Jiraiya. We had to keep this quiet due to the politics of the clan. Once we introduce it, there will be a clash for control of our clan. Perhaps even a civil war, unfortunately. I wish for you to be a part of the change to come. And I don't wish to create more animosity creating another enemy to my clan and in turn the Hidden Leaf."

"Another enemy? You mean like my father?" Sozu asked stoically

"No, he became an enemy to the village out of circumstance. There was another who was. Bit younger than him. He was a student of Orochimaru. His name is Amatsu Hyuga. He was even more gifted than Neji is. His father was a civilian born shinobi skilled in swordsmanship. His mother was a branch member of the Hyuga."Hiashi said

"Was? What happened to her?"

"She died during the 9 tails incident. Afterwards he grew distant and left our village with Orochimaru when the 3rd tried to apprehend him." Hiashi said sadly.

"Amatsu Hyuga huh."

There was a long silent moment between them and he spoke up.

"Humph, I no longer want revenge for my father. I just wish to bring him in." He continued

He looked at him then he rubbed his face and spoke again.

"I'll join under the condition that my father and I remain not warriors of just the Hyuga but also the Hidden Leaf Village." Sozu said.

Hiashi nodded to his demand and asked

"Is there anything else you desire?" Hiashi asked

"No, I don't want anything else." He said and Hiashi bowed to him and gave him a paper with directions and a key to his residence in the clan compound.

He pockets the papers and the key and makes it to his home and opens it and turns to close it after walking in. The place was modest with a living room and a kitchen. The walls were white and the appliances were stainless steel. He looked around to see a window view of the clan compound about his kitchen sink. He sat his bag in one of the 4 wooden chairs at the wooden dining table. He walked to a white door and opened it to see a sparse bedroom with a bed and white and gray sheets with 2 pillows. There was a window on the right wall and a wooden desk and chair near it with a lamp on it and a closet next to the door.

He took the sheets and dressed the bed and pillows with the cases and covers. He sat on the bed and looked out of his window.

"What the hell am I doing here?" He asked himself as he looked at his remaining left hand.

He shrugged and went to take a shower. He ran the water till it was hot and he took off his clothes. The hot water ran through his hair and down his back. He reflected on his fight with that alien and he felt as if he was useless. Sure his friends didn't die but they only lived thanks to his master. He wasn't too good at teleportation yet but he should've been able to save his friends.

'I'll be faster next time and I won't wear myself out next time.' He thought

After scrubbing the dirt from his pores and his hair, he walked out to grab a towel and dry off. He looked into the mirror with steam on it. He shrugged and went to put on some clothes. He put on his clothes and decided to sit down on his bed and eventually lay down. After 30 minutes of staring at the sealing he chose to get up and get some fresh air. He was wearing his long sleeve black shirt with beige pants. He slid on his black sandals and put on his blue weighted haori grabbing his sword strapping it to his waist. He walked out of his apartment and closed his door and leapt from wall to wall till he was atop of a building. He floated upwards causing everyone around to look at him with curiosity. He flew off without a second look as he went to clear his mind.

He lands on the path to the Hokage monuments and begins to walk up the steps. As he got up there he took a deep breath and looked at the bright sky that shines above the village. The bright light touched every part of the village shining down on the people. As he walked on, he saw a familiar mop of brownish black hair from Akino sitting on the head of the second Hokage. He saw her sitting with her head down between her arms with her legs buckled. It seemed as if she was hiding her face and crying. He walked up next to her and sat down next to her and he just listened to her sob. She looked up from her emotional breakdown and looked at him in confusion, then annoyance.

"What're you doing here?" She asked while wiping her tears.

"I came to clear my head. You just happened to be here." He shrugged

There was a breeze that blew between them as she wiped her tears with the back of her hands. Sozu looked out at the village as he stayed quiet as she tried to hold in her sobs.

"What happened? I've…never seen you cry except for- during the war." He asked.

She was quiet as she took a deep breath and sighed. There was a tense moment of silence between the two.

"My father, Jinsuke was seen on the last mission that Naruto's team took and I…he…used a suicide bombing technique and killed him…"

"And you're sad because…?" He asked in a questioning tone as he looked at her

"I won't get the closure I need from him. He…killed my grandfather…his own father in cold blood…I at least wanted to kill him myself…" she cried out

Sozu was silent as he listened to her cry and looked away.

"Wh-what do I do? I was…so confident in my purpose to go after him…" she asked in a lifeless trembling tone.

"Well, I gave up on chasing my dad a long time ago if you want the truth." He said, surprising her as she looked at him.

"What do you mean?" She asked

"When my old man left I was left alone and in the care of Lord 3rd. After that, I was left to sit with my own thoughts and they became toxic. So toxic that I pushed away my friends and ruined other things that I wanted. They inferiority complex you said I developed stemmed from constant resentment towards the Hyuga and Uchiha clan. But after the war with the Sand and during the war with the Bloody Mist, I changed." He said

"And what direction did you choose?" She asked

Sozu looked at the sun and sighed with a sad smile.

"I accepted his choice. Mukai gave up everything for me and I chose to do something with the life I was given. Jinsuke is different and unfortunately he betrayed his family and the village but, you just have to accept what's happened and grow from it. After all everyone has failed at some point and has lived afterwards. You're supposed to grow from your failures right?" He finished

Akino looked down at her hands in her lap in silence. Sozu continued with an honest ending.

"You can't allow someone else's actions to determine your course of actions all the time. Especially not when they're gone now. What do you think you'll get from revenge with no one to blame?" Sozu asked solemnly.

"Spiral…into despair." She said as her fists clenched in frustration.

Deep in the land of Grass near the Hidden Sound Village. Orochimaru stood before 5 shinobi atop a building in the city. The lands were quiet as Shinobi moved through them along with animals in the forest foliage.

The first was characterized by his pale skin, vivid green eyes, angular facial features, two scarlet dots on his forehead which all the members of his clan possessed, and shoulder-length white hair, which he wore divided down the middle on his head (distinguished by an atypical 'zigzag' hair parting) with two separate partings on either side of his face. He wore a specialized version of the traditional Oto-nin ensemble, consisting of a light lavender, loose-fitting, long-sleeved, zip-up shirt, black pants cut off around mid-calf, bandages wrapped around his ankles, traditional shinobi sandals, and a purple, rope-like belt tied in an inverted bow around his waist. He also wore two red, tube-like hair ornaments; one on either side of his head, securing two locks of his silvery-white hair. His Cursed Seal of Earth is applied at the base of his throat, where it is a circular pattern of three curved lines.

"Kimimaro. It's time for my next vessel to arrive. Sozu Kohinata is a worthy vessel and should be treated like a valuable asset and not trash. Bring him to me." He said

"And if he isn't forthcoming with the idea? What shall I do, my lord?" Kimimaro asked

"He can be healed. Just don't kill him or mortally wound him more than necessary kukuku" the snake replied

"And we are to do this quietly, correct?" He asked

"Yes. As quiet as possible. You all must not draw too much attention to yourselves. Unfortunately Kabuto and his team have stopped sending messages to our village. I fear that we'll have to move up our plans to strike out towards the Land of Uzu as well. They were planning to make some form of portal to the hidden Leaf Village and we must accelerate our plans. I would like to attain my vessel with that in mind as well" he said.

"It shall be done my lord" Kimimaro said with a bow and he turned and gestured for his subordinates to move out with him.

As he watched them leave he turned to walk towards his conference and he gestured for his contemporary Dr. Wheelo to follow him.

As they entered the room, they saw Farruko Uzumaki and Madara sitting at a round table.

Orochimaru and Dr. Wheelo went to sit down.

"What are we waiting for now?" Farruko asked

Soon the door opened as Orochimaru smirked and in walked an elderly man with long gray hair that flows out at the back, and mutton chops connected to his beard of the same color. His eyebrows were thick and of a darker gray, but neatly trimmed. He also had yellow eyes with dark bags around them, and tear troughs under them, giving a somewhat stern look. He wore a black shirt with a white gi with brown and blue edges over it, and further a sleeveless red jacket with gold sidings over that, and simple blue pants.

"Ahhh let me introduce you all to Shinno. The leader of the resurgence of the Hidden Sky Village. And now we can get started with Operation Kogarashi." The snake sannin said

"And what is our plan of attack? We have much to accomplish!" Farruko said

"First we will begin to weaken our enemies on various fronts" Orochimaru said

"How?" Farruko asked

"First we'll be going after the 6 tailed Jinchuriki in the Land of Rivers. Myself, Sosetsu and Orochimaru will be doing a hit and run on Nagato's village." Madara said

"Next, one of the akatsuki along with a battalion of Hidden Sky shinobi will go to the Hidden Cloud Village to distract them while we capture the 2 tails." Orochimaru said

"And soon after this we will attack The Hidden Whirlpool during their chunin exams and take the 5th Kazekage while you take back your home" Madara said to Farruko

"Excellent. And you should all be able to use those 5 point seals over their connection to the tailed beasts I gave as well. If you need anything else the Hikari faction will be at your disposal after we reclaim Uzu." Farruko said

"Wonderful, next we shall be taking care of the Hidden Leaf, Stone and Earth afterwards" Orochimaru said

"I'll be taking part in getting rid of the Hidden Leaf personally" Shinno said, saying something for the first time.

"Oh, it seems you've found a partner that shares in your hatred for your home" Madara said

"And what will you be doing about Giblet?" Dr Wheelo asked Madara

"Kill him of course. He wants to become the ten tails jinchuriki for foolish reasons. But, if this Frieza is as bad as he says I shall be ready." Madara said

Back in the hidden Leaf Village:

Shikaku Nara, Shisui Uchiha and Vegeta walked down the path towards the village in silence for a while. Then Vegeta turned his head to the side, then he turned around more due to sensing several power levels approaching. Then he smirked and turned back around.

"Who is it?" Shikaku asked

"Your son and his team have returned from searching for the snake man's base of operations." Vegeta said

Shikaku sighed as he and his shinobi guards walked on.

"Good. I'll be regrouping the teams since team 7 is out of commission along with several others. We'll also be getting together genin to send to the next chunin exams." Shikaku said

Soon team 10 and several special ops came running back to the village down the path.

"Dad? You're back from the summit?" Shikamaru asked as they stopped running.

"Yea. We have a lot to prepare for." He said sighing

"Dad, Naruto and Kenji, their chakras disappeared. I'm not sure what to make of that but-"

Shikaku put a hand on his shoulder and smirked.

"Don't worry. They'll be fine. They're on an extended training mission." Shikaku said

"I it take the rest of team 7 as well then?" Asuma asked

"You could say that." Shikaku said

Back at the Village:

Shikaku gave an update on what happened in the 5 Kage summit to the elders and he got an update from team 10 as well. They weren't able to find the base of Orochimaru but they did find out that he rotates around the elemental nations frequently. He had also been told that they fought with Shinobi who used chakra gliders to fly. He knew that they were Hidden Sky shinobi and he had heard from Jiraiya that they had been in resurgence moving in squads of 4 around the land of Storms where the land of Rain used to reside. He was sitting in his office with Jiraiya, Hiruzen, Homura, Koharu and Noridasu.

"So it seems they're comfortable with being out in the open. What do you think they're planning?" Hiruzen asked.

"I heard they've been meeting with Hidden Sound shinobi in the Land of Waves via Team 10 and the special ops. It seems as if they chose their side if that's any clue." Shikaku said

"What should we do about them? They cannot be allowed to become more of a threat to us." Koharu asked.

"I suggest we investigate their base in the Land of Storms. We need to know how strong they really are." Jiraiya said

"Speaking of investigations, I was told that the jinchuriki of the 6 tales was making his way through the land of Fire by the Mizukage. His name is Utakata, and I'll be send a team after him to convince him to either come to the Hidden Leaf or another Hidden Village with an offer of escort from our shinobi " Shikaku said

"I'll be going to investigate the Hidden Storm Lands and see about the Hidden Sky Village myself." Jiraiya said

"I suggest you take someone with you, like Nanashi. Especially in foreign lands." Noridasu said

"Heh, no need. I've been waiting to get out into the field anyways. Besides, after 3 years of training and mastering the basics of ki I should be fine." The Sannin said

"You may be a spy master but we're at war and I can't have you getting caught up. So I'll sanction this with Nanashi as your back up." Shikaku agreed

Jiraiya sighed and nodded

"Alright already, I'm heading to the gate. Have him meet me there in 30 or I'm leaving without him." the Sannin said as he walked towards the open window and leapt out

Noridasu followed heading to the clan compound to let his son know the details.

"And now that leaves finding the 6 tails to another group." Shikaku said

"We've got a few more powerful shinobi in our ranks." Homura said

"I recommend sending out Iruka's squad with that Kohinata boy." Koharu said

"Yes, he's definitely strong enough. Along with Iruka and the Uchiha girl leading him, things should be fine. We'll also have Sai, one of Danzo's former personal guards, with them." Koharu said.

"He's definitely a good candidate for this mission. Capturing the 6 tails should be within his grasp as well as. Iruka is also a former anbu black ops member specializing in trap making and guerilla war tactics." Hiruzen said

"Done, I have a feeling we'll need to be ready for an impending conflict with the akatsuki anyways. Iruka's team should be perfect for this mission." Shikaku said as he pulled out a scroll and drew up the mission request as well as giving it his signature.

"Anbu!" Shikaku called out and a bear masked anbu landed in front of him

"Sir!"

"Bring me Iruka Umino and his team stat!" he said with authority

"Yes sir!" The anbu said then he disappeared

Naruto was sitting in a field on the sacred world of Kai's with several hundred shadow clones. He was in the meditation position with his legs folded with his eyes closed as he channeled Kurama's chakra. The cloak was flickering on and off as his brow furrowed in concentration. His clones were practicing the wind release Rasengan in order to perfect it. He was mentally imagining his chakra combining his and Kurama's chakra.

Suddenly, he began to hear a razor sharp humming sound. I'd felt like he heard the very air being cut. His azure eyes opened as he looked up to see 2 of his clones create the wind Rasengan as his. The chakra sphere looked like a mini shuriken. Next, it began to expand after a few moments. One clone was keeping the sphere under control and spinning while the other clone added the wind chakra and kept it regulated.

"Whoa, that's awesome." Naruto said as he was awestruck by his clones

'Of course it is brat. You created it after all. Just don't lose control of that technique when you use it.' Kurama chimed in.

'Right.' The blonde responded

Soon his two clones were done and one of them disappeared while the other held up the giant chakra shuriken. The clone charged towards the nearest boulder and slammed it into the rock causing a giant explosion as the shuriken imploded and spun. Then it began to explode as it tore through everything pushing the clone back with the force of the giant explosion to flip and land. This causes him and his clones to look around at one another.

"Ok. It's now it's my turn!" Naruto called out as he stood up

One of his clones came up to him as he began to create a Rasengan. He molded his chakra and compressed it. Next he began to rotate it as it began to spin and then as the sphere stabilized, the clone channeled wind chakra to the sphere. The rhythm of the raw chakra merges with the wind element and it gradually invites it to merge with it. The combination of the two attacks begins to create a humming sound. The rotation picked up even more as the sphere became a light Aqua and glowed bright. Small wind blades began to form and spin. Soon he expanded it subconsciously pulling onto Kurama's chakra and the chakra shuriken expanded past the palm of his hand. He raised the attack into the air and looked at it with a triumphant smirk.

'What should we call it, Kurama?'

'Hmmm, it's a giant chakra sphere. I'd call it a spiraling shuriken.' Kurama said

Rasenshuriken it is' Naruto agreed

"Wind Style: Rasenshuriken!" He yelled as he jumped forward away from his clones and slammed the attack into the ground.

"HAAAAAH!" He yelled out as the attack caused a large boom sound as the ground was ripped apart. He felt the backlash of the attack through his arm as the chakra tore through his right hand and forearm.

He backflipped and landed taking several steps back and was caught by two of his clones as he was about to fall. He looked at his bloodied hand and wrist. He gripped his hand and grimaced in pain.

"Urgh! Probably should've went into Sage mode or used Kurama' chakra."

"Well, that's an interesting creation. It seems you've created a new rendition of the Rasengan." Kaioshin said as he walked over with a smile

"Yea, but my attack backlashes." He said as his right hand shook in pain.

"Come here my child." He said as his hands glowed yelled.

Naruto walked forward and supreme Kai allowed his Ki to heal his arm. The yellow aura entered his pores and began to mend the broken bones and torn cartilage and tissue.

"You must be careful with your attacks. Though I believe you've learned your lesson from the pain. Am I correct?"

"Y-yea. I got too caught up in the moment. Urgh!" He said as he felt the pain from his injury heal.

'He's right kit. You need to be careful with your attacks. The power from that Rasenshuriken sent a lot of backlash on your hand and wrist.' Kurama said

Gohan, Sasuke and Hinata walked up to see the damage done to the environment via his two Rasenshuriken and they are surprised.

"Hehe. Not bad Naruto. You're definitely giving me more reasons to pull out the Z-sword and train more." Gohan said

Sasuke looked at the attacks with an impressed brow and then at Naruto.

"Looks like you've been busy. It's a good thing I have too. I was almost jealous" Sasuke said

"Humph. I take you've got your own ace up your sleeve too." The blonde asked

"You know he does." Gohan smirked

"Your attack was amazing, Naruto. I watched it with my Byakugan. It destroys its targets at a molecular level, down to the very cell." Hinata said

"This reminds me of an attack that Ashura made. It was similar to the Rasengan but it held many inside of it."

"Really? That's amazing!" Hinata called out in interest

Everyone was looking at Supreme Kai in interest as he regaled Ashura except for Naruto, who looked at his hands with bittersweet pride.

"Enough doddling! Yes his attack was powerful but you all need to get back to training." Kibito said

"Relax. Let them take 10 Kibito. They'll be right back at it" Shin said

Kibito sighed and he bowed in respect.

"Very well." He said as he walked away.

3 days later back on earth at Piccolo's lookout:

Piccolo was training in the Hyperbolic time chamber on his own for a year in order to prepare for Frieza's arrival. He had faith that the 5 great nations could handle the akatsuki. But he was keeping an eye on Madara aka Obito Uchiha traveling to the Demon Realm.

'Perhaps I should have Wukong enter the time chamber again but with that other Saiyan Vegeta. Those two will be vital in the battle against Frieza and whatever realm that foolish Uchiha keeps going to. He has no idea of the forces he's trifling with.' Piccolo thought as he finished training

He walked out of the chamber and went to his personal chambers and grabbed a towel to wipe his face. He looked up at the sky suddenly and his antenna sparked.

'What is this? Somethings going on?!' He thought

Suddenly he felt a foreign presence link to his mind.

'Kami? Kami? Old friend, are you there?' The voice asked

'Who is this? How are you able to connect with me? And what do you know of my father?'

'Ahhh, you must be his child. What is your name?'

'I am Piccolo. Guardian of planet earth. What do you know of my father? And don't make me ask again!'

'Be at ease young one. Do you know of your heritage? Of the namekians?'

'Hmm? Yes. Father told me he left Namek during a time of crisis and to deal with his dark nature and find peace within. He came to earth for that purpose. Why? Are you…on Namek?' Piccolo asked hesitantly

'Yes. I am elder Guru. Your father, Kami, was a good friend of mine and a gifted member of the Katas clan. He was a troubled man. We asked him to stay to find a way to help himself as we fought through the crisis but he chose to leave. What happened to him?' Guru asked

'Long story short, he came to earth and met a man known as the Sage of 6 paths. He was part of the Otsutsuki race. But he was not like his kind. He wished to protect this world instead of destroying it. He helped him face the darkness inside of himself. My father watched over this planet for 300 years. I was born 25 years ago and he died 15 years ago handing over the role of guardian of earth to me. He taught me everything he knew before he passed on.' Piccolo recanted

'That's good that my friend found peace before his death. I was hoping he could help our people in our time of need. I hate to ask for favors at our first meeting but, will you hear me out?' Guru pleaded

'As a fellow namekian I will hear you out. Speak.' Piccolo said

'Our home has come under attack by a tyrant. He means to kill us all off in a quest for the dragon balls.'

'Who is it?' Piccolo asked

'He goes by the name of Cooler. He is the self proclaimed ruler of the universe. He slaughters our people and pillages through our villages all on a hunt for the dragon balls.' Guru stated

Piccolo's blood ran cold.

'Are…are you sure? How do you know it's him?'

'One of the younglings. A child by the name of Sajin heard them and hid from them while hiding his power level. He came to myself and our strongest warrior. That is why I am contacting you. Are you able to help us end this threat? Your father was one of the strongest warriors to exist on our planet but perhaps you would be even stronger.' Guru pondered

'I am stronger…but my place is protecting the world I reside in now. But…I do have an alternative. Please… allow me a moment of concentration.' Piccolo said as he reached out into the galaxy then beyond with his senses.

Sacred planet of the Kai's:

Kaishin was watching Naruto form another Rasenshuriken when he felt a mental link develop. He froze, then relaxed in recognition as he knew who's energy signature it was. For some reason there was another presence similar in nature with it.

'Greetings Piccolo, guardian of earth. What can I do for you?' He thought

'Greetings Supreme Kai. I'm afraid we have a developing issue on Namek.' Piccolo cut to the chase

'And what would that be?' He asked

'It seems one of the arcosions has gone there in search of the dragon balls.'

The made Shin's eyes widen for a moment before his expression turned grave.

'Where did you receive this information?' He asked urgently

'Elder Guru of Namek. He's actually part of this link right now. He'll tell you himself.' Piccolo said in a no nonsense tone

'It is an honor to speak to you, Supreme Kai. I wish we could meet under better circumstances but, what he says is the truth. Our world is being pillaged as we speak. Cooler has been tearing through our villages and murdering our people in cold blood. He is after the dragon balls and only who knows what he will do with them.' Guru recanted

Shin took a deep breath and closed his eyes, then he breathed out.

'I have a group of warriors I can send to help you fight him off but they are small in numbers. They are competent and should be the equalizer you need to get rid of Cooler.' He said

'I thank you supreme Kai. We are in dire straits at the moment. I thank you as well Piccolo. I will be looking for them.' Guru said

'Thank you supreme Kai. I'd go myself but..'

'I understand Piccolo. You must remain on earth. There is much to deal with. My students will handle this. Now, I'll teleport them to Namek as soon as possible. I fear if Cooler gets his hands on the Dragon Balls the universe may be in trouble.' Shin said

'Alright, I leave it in your hands.' Piccolo said as he cut the link

Shin opened his eyes and looked at his blonde student.

"Naruto, go get Sasuke and Hinata. I'll be back. I have an assignment for you" He said as he teleported away

"Um…okay..?" He said scratching his head in confusion

King Kai's planet:

Gohan sat in a meditative pose as he levitated. He could hear the sound of fighting in the background.

He was learning to hone his focus and harness his power. His father Wukong had told him he always had potential but he just had to bring it out. His last scare in battle against several of Frieza's army taught him that.

'I should've taken him down before he could pull that attack off. I was so ready for battle I didn't even think that maybe it wasn't the time for it' he thought to himself.

Suddenly he got a headache as he tensed up. He was greeted by a vision of a man or an alien with white and purple skin. He seemed to be wearing some kind of helmet and he was over 8 feet tall. The sky was a strange color and the environment around them was damaged as was the figure in front of them. He was covered in bruises and cuts with blood spurting from a wound on his shoulder.

"YOU DAMNED MONKEYS WILL BE EXTINGUISHED!" He yelled out.

Then he created a giant orange sphere above his head and threw it at him. He looked around and there was only Naruto in his tailed beast cloak next to him. The vision faded and he opened his eyes.

'Wh-who was that? Where was that?' He asked himself

Suddenly he felt a familiar presence appear on the planet and he looked to see it was Supreme Kai. The man appeared before him and looked around with a serious gaze. His eyes landed on the elder Namikaze brother.

"Kenji. Come along. I've got an assignment for you and your brother" Kaioshin said

Gohan looked in interest as he walked over to speak.

"Hey Supreme Kai. Is there anything I can do as well? I'd like to test myself as well."

Kenji walked over with his hands in his blue pants pockets. He had took off his Jonin vest but was still wearing his long sleeve blue shirt. King Kai was sitting and watching Hiro and Mina try to catch Bobbles while Taro trained with Yamoshi.

"Not at the moment, Gohan. I'm sure the future I'll-"

"I had another vision of a planet with a green sky. Is that where you're going?" Gohan asked as he cut him off" causing the Kai's eyes to widen. Kenji looked at him with a mix of curiosity and concern

"What did you see?" Shin asked

"I saw some alien with purple and white skin. He was tall but he was also holding up an attack as big as the sun over the planet! He was gonna kill Naruto and whoever was with him!" Gohan said in worry.

"Was that all that you saw?" Shin asked

P.S. Kaioshin is Shin. I just use different names to refer to different characters.

"No, I…I didn't see anything else" he said with haste

"Don't worry. As long as I'm there they'll come back alive" Kenji said with a confident tone and he pat Gohan on the shoulder

"Can you transform into a Super Saiyan at will on a consistent basis?" The purple skin deity asked

Kenji channeled his Ki as a golden orange aura wrapped around him and his hair rose up. Soon he began to unleash his power as his hair turned Orange.

"HAAAAAH!" He yelled, causing everyone to stop what they were doing to look at his power as the wind began to twist, pushing away from him and the ground cracked under his feet.

Yamoshi smirked at his fellow Saiyan even though he was only a quarter Saiyan his power showed that of limitless potential.

"I can maintain this power for at most 5 minutes." Kenji concluded as he powered down.

"Good enough. We should get going then" he said as he put a hand on Kenji's shoulder and they teleported away

Soon they were back on the Sacred World of Kais and team 7 was standing there waiting for the 2 expectedly.

"Ahhh good. You're all here. I have an assignment for you all that will test your abilities and push you to the limit." He said peaking their interest

"Go on." Sasuke said with a tone of interest and a stoic face

"It seems one of the Arcosians has decided to invade the home planet of Piccolo, guardian of earth."

Everyone was all ears at this point and looking at him. Supreme Kai smirked and continued.

"He and his army are pillaging the planet Namek. They are killing the people looking for magical items known as Dragon balls. The Dragon balls were created by the Namekians and can grant any wish of your choosing. There are 7 of them and once they are gathered together you can have a wish granted. But you must speak the language of the Namekians to use them. And I wouldn't advise you all to try to use them unless it's an emergency. You cannot fall into selfishness or degeneracy with the power they wield. But, then again even the dragon balls have their limits."

"Who created them?" Sasuke asked

"The Namekians themselves created the dragon balls to be able to restore balance in case of great calamity such as mass destruction, genocide, starvation due to lack of resources and many other practical reasons." Shin continued

"Could…you bring someone back to life with them?" Kenji asked with hope in his voice. This got everyone's attention

"Yes, but only within the last 365 days, which is the number of days for a year." Kaioshin said, catching the meaning behind his question as Kenji looked crestfallen.

"Can you wish to see someone you miss?" Hinata asked

"Yes, but I would refrain from using a wish on something selfish. It only begets more selfish requests. I'm sending you all on this journey to Namek to stop the Arcosian Cooler from doing such things. He's killing these people and destroying their world for these dragon balls. Do I need to keep any of you back due to lack of discipline?" Supreme Kai asked

"No Sir!" They all chorused out

"Good. Now grab my shoulders or touch my arm I'll be transporting you all to Namek. Be careful and be smart about your decisions." Shin said

They all did as instructed and he teleported them away. Soon they reappeared on a lush planet with bluegrass, blue trees, a white and yellow sun with green skies.

"I'll be watching you all. Now I leave it in your hands." Shin said as he teleported away.

There was a moment of silence as they all took in the planet. They all flew up to higher ground to get a better view. They could see land for as far the eye could see along with a large body of water to the end of it. There were strange birds with scales instead of feathers.

"Whoa! This place looks awesome!" Naruto said as he took in the sight

"It is very different. I can even see the chakra in the air. It's as if this planet itself is a chakra battery." Hinata said as she looked around

"She's right, my sharingan can see the chakra as well. My Rinnegan is too. I can probably use the Gakido here infinitely" Sasuke added

"Really? Then I might be able to enter Sage Mode faster than normal" Naruto said

"You definitely can. If anything Sage Mode feels more natural here. It's like being in Mount Myoboku again." Kenji said as red outlines appeared around his eyelids

Naruto did as well and orange pigment appeared around his eyes as well. They immediately began to stretch their senses to get a feel for the planet. Suddenly they all felt a chilling presence and collectively gasped.

"D-do you guys feel that power?" Hinata asked

"Yea…it's… unreal" Sasuke said

"It's…just as strong as Kenji in his Super Saiyan form!" Naruto said in alarm

"Che, this…this is something else. We'd have to hit this power level with everything we've got just to hope of winning" Sasuke said

"Calm down…we'll…just have to stay from around that power…for as long as possible." Hinata said

Kenji had a stone cold face. He grew a ghost of a smile at the power he was sensing.

"Don't worry guys. Let's just focus on getting these people safe and then dealing with this other guy afterwards." Kenji said

"Right. What's the plan?" Naruto asked as he snapped himself out of his fear.

"Ok. So sense we both know the flying thunder god technique both of us will be setting up markers in a place big enough to hide people and ourselves. We need to get the survivors out of the open along with a few of the dragon balls. We don't need all of them. We just need to keep a few of them out of sight." Kenji said

"And what about us?" Hinata asked

"You and Sasuke will be on the lookout for chakra signatures all around the planet. You'll travel with myself and Naruto in groups of two and we'll teleport who we find back with us." Kenji said

"Well, let's look for a place out of sight." Sasuke said

They walked around and began to search for a place to hide. As they began to sift around the area they also explored the area. They jumped from rock to rock and through the forest foliage. After looking around for a hiding place. They began to set up camp and Naruto and Kenji began to put privacy seals and flying thunder god seals all around the cave.

As they were setting up the cave with seals they heard the sound of a jet across the air. Hinata looked outside with her Byakugan and gasped.

"It's a ship just like the ones that were found from the aliens in our world. And the power on it is incredible!" She said, causing them all to look up and extend their senses to analyze the incoming lifeforce on the planet.

"Whoever that is. Let's make sure we stay away from them. They aren't the mission. At least for now. If they're a threat to the planet then we'll deal with them." Kenji said as he looked at the ship landing in the distance

Back on earth:

Sozu was walking through the village back to the Hyuga compound when suddenly a shinobi with long black hair in a bun style landed in front of him. She had cream skin, black eyes, delicate features that looked like nobility, was around 5'8", with a curvy build. She was wearing a long sleeve red shirt with a black vest with the Uchiha fan on the back, a black skirt, white ankle wraps, a black clothed hidden leaf headband wrapped around her left leg, red nail polish on her hands and feet and black shinobi shoes.

"Sozu Kohinata?" she asked in a stoic voice

He tilted his head in confusion.

"And who might you be?" He asked skeptically

"Your fellow teammate, Naori Uchiha."

"And to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" He asked

"We have been summoned by the Hokage and Iruka Sensei has sent me to bring you to the Hokage office for a mission debriefing. Now come along." She replied

Sozu sighed as he ran his hand through his hair and nodded

"Fine then. Let's go." He said as he followed her via rooftop

As he made his way to the Hokage mansion he saw Ino walking with her team. He wanted to stop and talk but he had to go for his mission debriefing. So he had to carry on and save what he had to say later. Soon they were upon the Hokage building and he walked in to see Iruka and another tall young teen with pale skin, black eyes, black hair, a black tank top zip up jacket, black shinobi pants, black sandals and a large red and black scroll on his back with is forehead protector around his forehead.

"About time you showed up." Shikaku said

Sozu had his hand resting in his blue haori as he stood with indifference. Shikaku got down to business as he got into Hokage mode.

"Team 4. Your mission is to track Utakata, the 6 tails jinchuriki. Photos of his person will be included in the document to go by. At the 5 Kage Summit I was told by the Mizukage that the last time he was seen in water country he was headed to the land border of the Land of Fire. Your job is to find him and either take him to the Hidden Leaf or the Hidden Mist Village. We are now acting as the United 5 Nations against the Akatsuki and any other threats in the near foreseeable future. So there will be no unnecessary hostility towards other shinobi from foreign nations but, we will not let our guard down. Am I understood?" Shikaku asked

"Yes Sir!" Team 4 chorused and left the office.

As they exited the mission building Iruka spoke.

"We will be meeting at the village gate in 1 hour. Gather everything you will need for a long term trip." Iruka said and they all nodded

"Sir!" Sai and Naori said while Sozu nodded and they all body flickered away.

Soon he leapt through the village as he needed to get his sword. He walked through the compound and nodded at several members of the clan and he came upon his door. He unlocked the door and walked in closing it behind him. As he walked through his home he took several pieces of clothing and a map and placed them in a bag. He took several ration bars and a bottle of food pills and sealed them in his bag. He took his sword and shinobi tool pouch. He looked at the scroll he had gotten from his father. He studied the last message he got from his father with a stoic face.

He put the scroll down on his nightstand and he hefted the bag around his shoulder. Soon he locked up his home as he exited and leapt off at a leisurely pace. It only took him 10 minutes to get to the Hyuga compound from the Hokage Office.

"I suppose I'll grab something to eat before I leave." He said as he walked to a Dango shop

As he walked in he saw several customers waiting and sitting eating. To his surprise he saw Ino sitting with Sakura. He wanted to say something but, he didn't have the time he'd like to have the type of conversation she would want from him. He went to place his order and sat out of sight in silence. He was pondering what to say as a part word so that they could continue on a better note later on. Through his pondering he came to the most basic yet logically sound conclusion. He suddenly looked up as he felt a familiar presence enter the restaurant and he saw Naori enter. They locked eyes briefly and broke contact as she went on to place her own order. As she went to sit at a table on her own his order was called.

"One order of 3 Cha Dango!" The cashier called out, prompting Sozu to come forward. His Dango is in a plastic container in a paper bag.

As he got his order he turned to see Ino and Sakura still talking and he walked towards them. Being shinobi, they both looked up and Ino had a look of surprise mixed with confusion on her face. Sakura also looked at him in confusion as if she didn't recognize him.

"Ino, I don't have much time before I leave on a mission so just listen. I…I'd like to apologize for how I acted when I came back to the village. You didn't deserve that. I understand if you don't want to hear it." He finished and turned around to walk away.

He noticed Naori looking at him with a raised eyebrow and he walked out of the restaurant. Ino soon got up to follow him with Sakura staying behind to give her some privacy. As she exited the building she saw Sozu leapt into the sky to fly off.

"Wait! Sozu come back!" She called out

The villagers and even some shinobi looked in surprise seeing yet another shinobi with the ability to fly. Ino looked at his flying away in annoyance and she pushed chakra into her feet and leapt forward in anger to catch up.

"INO WHAT'RE YOU DOING?" Sakura yelled out

'YOU WILL NOT IGNORE ME DAMMIT!' She thought

She kept pushing chakra into her feet and legs as she kept hopping and running across rooftops after Sozu. He sensed this and turned around to see her and he breathed out heavily as he chose to land on a building and let her catch up. But Ino overestimated her leap and she glomped onto Sozu who had to stop both of them from falling as he held onto her.

"Hey, are you ok? You almost knocked us both over." He said

"Um, well…I…um…" Ino was taken aback as she was in close proximity to him and noticed how much he's changed. His chiseled jawline and his piercing brown eyes, along with his strong chest. She also noticed that she was hugging him so as not to fall.

He unwrapped his arm from around her as they stabilized around her waist. She slowly unwrapped herself from him and backed away with a blushing face of embarrassment. He raised an eyebrow as he was confused at her behavior and waited patiently for her to speak.

"Wh-what made you apologize all of a sudden? You…acted like you wanted nothing to do with me and everyone else." She asked as her cyan eyes connected with his.

"You could say that I…realized that there were still people around me that… still cared for me. I…had forgotten the bonds I created. Especially with team 10. And I apologize for that." He said as he smiled brightly at her, breaking his emotionless gaze. There was a moment of silence as her eyes widened in surprise at the honesty in his words. Sozu took her silence as shock and decided he would leave an not overload her with more complexities.

"Well. I'd better get going. We'll talk more later I suppose." He said

As he turned away from her he felt her grab his arm. He looked back at her in confusion as she brought him in with a hug. This surprised him but he chose not to fight it and hug her back. Her arms were firmly around him as they embraced. He was surprised as her flowery scent permeated around him. Soon they broke the hug and she gave him a sweet smile.

"Thank you…for that. I…I know you have a mission in a bit but when you come back…we should talk more." She said in a bashful manner putting her arms behind her locking her hands in a nervous state. Sozu was confused at her blushing but he smiled back.

"I like that very much. But for now, I'm afraid I must go" He said as he turned to walk away

"Be careful. Please…don't be reckless." She said

Sozu smiled over his shoulder at her and nodded as he jumped and flew towards the southern Village Gate.

After waiting for 30 minutes he saw his teammates appear with 10 minutes to spare.

"Hello, you must be Sozu. I am Sai." The pale shinobi said

Sozu was silent but he looked at him and nodded

"Since we are comrades. I shall give you a nickname. How about…Hidari (left arm)."

Sozu smirked

"How about I call you sunshine. Cause you need some you pale prick." He retorted causing Sai to smirk back at him

"Good one. So you're not just a stone statue after all." Sai said

Naori rolled her eyes at the two of them.

"Alright you two settle down, we have our mission. We are to find the 6 tailed Jinchuriki and escort him to either the Hidden Leaf or Mist Village. Here are the photos of him." Iruka said as he opened the scroll and handed one to all of his students.

What they saw was a tall, thin young man with pale golden eyes and brown hair that reached to his shoulders. He wore a Hidden Mist jonin uniform with a serious look on his face.

"We will start searching for him near Shōga Village which is near the Valley of the End." Iruka said

"Yes sir!" Sai and Naori said while Sozu just nodded in confirmation. Iruka noticed this but he didn't mind it. He had heard about the eccentricity of the boy and decided he would chastise him when necessary.

Team 4 set out to travel down the path from the village. As they did there were 5 shinobi following them from afar as they watched them from afar.

"It seems like our target has made it easier for us. Let us follow him and strike when the time is nigh" Kimimaro said as they leapt through the foliage and followed them from far behind.

Sai was curious about one of his teammates, Sozu Kohinata. He wasn't the most social but he realized he should try to sense they would be on a long term mission together. He noticed he held a sword and figured he'd ask him when they got a chance to stop. He looked at Naori and Iruka as well but they seemed just as withdrawn. His brother Shin had told him that making friends would be good for him but he was a solitary child. Soon they began to leap into the trees and head in the direction of Shoga Village.

Back on Namek Naruto was running through the Namekian forest with Hinata. She noticed that he was oddly quiet as they moved through the planet.

"Naruto? Are you alright?" She asked

"I'm…thinking about something Supreme Kai said. He said I was the reincarnation of the son of the Sage 6 paths. Does that mean I'm not me? Is everything I do not my own actions? It's kind of frustrating to me. Am I just some place holder in the fate of the world? Was this all predestined? I tried to play it off but…yea" He thought.

Hinata was taken a bit aback. She never realized that something like this could've come up. But, she wouldn't let this deter him or see doubt inside him.

"I don't know about this Otsutsuki reincarnation prophecy…but what I do know is that you are you. I've never doubted that. I've seen you train day in and day out. I've watched you improve and you have inspired me and those around you to improve. Supreme Kai could never summarize your character. You should take it with a grain of salt."

Naruto stopped leaping through the forest and looked at her with amazement in his eyes.

"You…you really…believe that?" He asked as she stopped as well and looked to speak to him.

"Yes. You are Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze. The man who pushes forward and inspires others to push forward no matter what diversity you face. And you are also the man that will change the world as Hokage. And last but not least. You are the man that stole my heart." She said with a blush on her face.

'Kit, you are you. I wouldn't think too much about what supreme Kai said. You may have his chakra signature but, you are Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze. And you're the annoying brat I chose to believe in to show the world that my kind are not just malevolent beasts with no brains' Kurama chimed in.

Naruto got tears in his eyes from their words. He wiped his eyes and smirked at her with more tears coming out. He brought her in for a big hug as he sniffed.

"Thank you.. I hide my thoughts and feelings a lot because I know not to let them bother me but… I…needed to hear something from someone outside of me…" he said

She hugged him tighter as well and rubbed his back as he stopped crying. They broke the embrace and looked into each other's eyes. He looked into her lavender purple eyes as she looked into his azure blue eyes. They leaned in and their lips met locking together passionately. They tasted each other's lips and broke the embrace as they smiled at one another.

"Again, thank you Hinata. Now, we gotta keep looking for the surviving Namekians to bring them back to earth. Let's do our best and free the people of Namek!" Naruto said with a smile on his face.

"Right! I'm…glad you trusted me enough to talk about how you felt. And…I…I want to be by your side for as long as I can and grow alongside you. We will free these people and go back home to our families!" She said as they continued to move on and scan the area they were in and report back to Sasuke and Kenji.

Sasuke was looking around the area with his Rinnegan. He was specifically looking up when he saw Coolers Soldiers passing over them.

"You got all the seals setup? It's about time to move on to that huge power level." he asked Kenji.

"Yea. We'll be ready to move out when they get back" Kenji said.

Team 4 had finally made it to Shoga Village. It was sunny earlier but soon the clouds had become dreary. Rain seemed inevitable as they walked through the village. They had been staking out several bars and pubs for info on their two targets but they couldn't find anything for a while now.

"We've only got one lead that said they were here earlier this week after all this time" Naori said dispassionately.

"They weren't seen leaving. Apparently Utakata believes in discretion. We have our work cut out for us." Iruka said

"I'll send out several ink animals to look around the area for a trail. We should be able to track them soon."

"In the meantime you all keep asking around and Sozu look around the town with your Sekigan to get some leftover chakra residue. We'll meet back here in 2 hours" Iruka said and everyone nodded.

Soon they parted and scattered across the village. Sozu walked through the town asking people if they had seen a man with Utakata's description. They all said what he had heard before and it was getting him nowhere.

'Che, this guy must be a master escape artist. But I should be able to find him.' He thought as he leapt through the village. He asked a few more questions to several people as he made his way around the village. He noticed he was being followed. He tried to lose whoever it was but they were persistent. Soon he took to the roof, activated his Sekigan and journeyed through the town via rooftops.

He landed in a less populated area of town and he began to walk. As he continued down the path he heard footsteps behind him and turned around to see a hooded figure in a black cloak. He immediately put a hand on his sword and leapt atop of a building. As he did he had to dodge a strange looking golden boomerang and parry another. Soon he kicked off the side of a building and began to float as he looked around with his Sekigan. Soon he had to dodge several bullets made of bone. Next he began to hear a haunting flute melody and felt his chakra system begin to scramble.

"Ugh! Genjutsu!" He said as he felt himself falling into it.

He put his hand in the ram symbol and disrupted his chakra network. Afterwards he found himself drawing his sword to block several shuriken. He flew backwards but he was met by a man with light-blue hair and long bangs covering his eyes along with what seemed to be two heads. He is fair-skinned, with green lipstick and black eyes.

"Sakon do not let the vessel escape!" Kimimaro yelled out

Sozu dodged several punches and kicked out at him but he was surprised to see an extra set of arms grab his leg and throw him towards the ground.

"Earth Release Barrier: Prison Dome of Nothingness!" One shinobi yelled out as a barrier formed around Sozu keeping him locked in.

Sozu smirked as he stabbed his sword into the ground.

"Fire Style: Arcane Flames!" He yelled as Fire chakra pulsed underground and tore through the barrier in the form of spikes.

He leapt out of it only to have to dodge more razor sharp golden boomerangs. Looking around, he was able to find said source from the attacks. He used the body flicker technique and avoided several shuriken. He landed only to still hear the tone of the flute and he had to disrupt his chakra flow again.

"Jirobo attack him now!" Sakon yelled

Soon he saw a man with an orange Mohawk and strips of hair on the side. He dodged the punch and smashed the pommel of his sword into his rib cage.

"Auugh! FUCK!" He yelled as he tried to punch Sozu again but he dodged and jumped backwards and used his ki to fly forward towards a fair skin girl with long orange hair and brown eyes.

'So she's the one playing the flute. Guess I'll Take her out first!' He thought

"Kaioken!" He yelled as a red aura pulsed around him and he flew around Kimimaro, who tried to intercept him.

He flew around and channeled Ki into his blade and sliced through her flute and cut off some of her fingers.

"Aaaaaghh!" She yelled and he spun to kick her into her stomach, knocking the wind out of her and sending her off the roof through the window of a building next to it.

Soon he had to whirl around and block a sword made of bone from Kimimaro with haste. He noticed the Hidden Sound headband loosely around his neck.

'Hidden Sound Shinobi!' He thought as he jumped and flipped backwards.

Kimimaro held out his right hand in a straight angle.

"Teshisendin!" He yelled as bullets made of bone shot out of his hand.

Sozu used his sword to masterfully block the bullets and landed on a building with a flat rooftop and a few platforms with windows and a water tank.

"Who the hell are you guys? And what's up with calling me the vessel?" He asked with a furrowed brow in stoic irritation

"Lord Orochimaru has sent us to collect you as his next vessel. And we are a part of the Sound Espada. An elite group of shinobi curated for his bidding." Sakon said with pride

"Humph, so he was too weak to get Sasuke and now I'm his next best option. Thanks but no thanks" Sozu said causing them all to narrow their eyes in anger towards him

"You'd best watch your mouth boy! It's an honor to serve Lord Orochimaru's cause!" Jirobo said with a vein popping out on the side of his head.

Tayuya reappeared in her cursed mark on stage one with a bloody hand. She tried to sneak attack Sozu with a roundhouse kick to his head but he ducked, spun around giving her an upward diagonal slash through her upper torso tearing through the cartilage of her shoulder and collarbone as well as across her chest. She fell dead on the ground behind him with an audible thud.

"You're going to pay for that!" Kidomaru yelled as he spat out golden webbing at Sozu only for him to slice through it.

Soon Sakon was upon him as he dodged several punches. He brought up his sword to parry a bone sword from Kimimaro. He soon kicked Sakon's left calf muscle hard enough for him to slip. And then he channeled Ki into his sword to slice through Kimimaro's bone sword.

Kidomaru activated his cursed seal and threw out several golden kunai at Sozu from all directions as he clipped a ninja thread. Sozu began to spin rapidly and slash.

"Judgment Cut Rotation!" He yelled as he defended himself with ease.

Kimimaro, Jirobo and Sakon also activated their cursed seals. Sozu smirked at them as he landed with a smirk and his cursed seal activated as well.

'What? Why is his cursed seal different from ours? It should be black, not white!' He thought

"Humph! Seems like you're all starting to take me seriously!" He said as he began to radiate dark blue Ki.

He looked at the water tank and channels his kaioken again and slashed open the tank to where it started shooting out water. He went through hand signs with his sword in hand. He ended on a flat hand with all fingers extended except the index finger, which is put under the thumb.

"Water style: Water Crescent Slash!" He yelled as he gripped his sword a slashed contorting the water into a crescent shape sending it out in a horizontal fashion towards his enemies.

"Earth Style: Mud Wall!" Jirobo yelled as he and through hand signs ending on the snake seal and placed his hands on the ground.

Soon a thick wall of Mud and rock rose from the ground to defend against the attack. But, the pressure from his crescent wave was so strong that it tore through the wall.

"Sh-shit!" Jirobo yelled as his cursed seal spread across his body and he transformed into his stage 2 form growing horns, dark skin, black sclera with yellow irises and long orange hair. The water wave tore into his hands drawing blood as he stopped it.

Soon, Sakon came upon Sozu ready to swing but he smirked and dodged them all. He stabbed his sword into his opponent's foot causing him to grunt out loud.

"Urgh! You bastard!" He yelled out

Soon he channeled chakra into the sword making the wound deepen. Sakon tried to punch him but he spun around gathering chakra into his hand as blue fire shot a burst of fire into his side burning his torso.

"Azure bullet!" Sozu said, yanking his sword out of his opponent's foot.

Soon a second body separated from Sakon's body. The cursed seal spread over both of them and their skin turned dark with black sclera, yellow irises, horns, and soon a black scaled arm and leg sprouted from their bodies.

"YOU! I'LL KILL YOU!" Sakon yelled

Kidomaru's curse seal spread across his body as a golden arrow elongated from his mouth. His body went through a similar process as the others and he put his hands together and pushed chakra into his palms to make a golden bow.

As he did this Kimimaro's curse seal spread across his body from his chest area as he slashed at Sozu who parried his sword again with boredom on his face. But Sozu was soon surprised as several bones pushed out of Kimimaro's torso stabbing at him.

'Tsk! He's the most dangerous of them all in close combat!' He thought

Following his dodging of Kimimaro's bone pulse technique he had to dodge a golden arrow.

"What the-"

He was cut off as Sakon and Ukon leapt forward throwing out two simultaneous attacks.

"Kaioken!" He yelled as he evaded the attack, surprising Kidomaru.

Jirobo leapt towards him with all of his speed ready to punch him.

"I don't care anymore! Vessel or not, I'm gonna squash you!" He yelled

Sozu smirked at him as he spun out of the way of the punch thrown at him and performed a spinning elbow that smashed into his rib cage causing him to spit up blood.

"Ouuph!" He yelled and Sozu stabbed his sword into the ground, and used it as a platform spin and knee him in his rib cage breaking it completely.

Soon Jirobo was sent flying into a building wall from the last attack. His cursed seal deactivated and he fell unconscious, most likely dead.

Sozu stood looking at his remaining 4 opponents with a calm face.

"You're all out of your league. I suggest you retreat before more of you die." He said with authority in his voice.

Kimimaro kept a stoic face as he looked at Sozu seriously.

"You must not have heard me the first time. You don't have a choice! You will become Lord Orochimaru's vessel!" He said as his cursed seal went to level 2 and he sprouted a tail and grew bone horns along with fangs. He had black markings under his eyes as well as darker gray hair.

Suddenly the sound ninja had to jump as a set of Fuma shuriken whizzed towards them. The rest of team 4 appeared around Sozu.

"It seems like we've come in contact with an enemy nation." Iruka said as he pulled out a kunai knife

"So it seems like the rest of the rats have come out to play!" Kidomaru said

"No matter. Let's just end this already. Sakon with me!" Ukon said as he flew through hand signs

"Water style: Compression wave!"

He spat out a small yet highly compacted lance of water and cut through a concrete wall as they all dodged.

Sakon jumped forward with his hand in the ram seal and yelled

"Doh! Rei! Me!"

He sent several compression waves of sound that hit them internally, knocking them back towards the ground level. Iruka threw his kunai at the Sakon who brought up his scaled arm to block it.

"What was that supposed to do, fool?" Sakon asked

The sizzling on the paper tag attached to it gave him something to worry about. The leapt backwards as did the remainder of the Sound Espada. They landed in the streets and they had to dodge several Large Fuma shuriken.

"Tsk! More trash to take out!" Kidomaru yelled out as he jumped far away from the battlefield and created another bow and arrow.

As he did though Sai appeared behind him and he had to dodge a swipe from his tanto. The pale skinned shinobi pressed on his attack and Kidomaru smirked as he sent out several punches with his 6 arms.

"Hmmm, you must be the combination of an arachnid and a man! I shall call you spider man" he said with a shit eating grin.

"Tch, I'll kill you brat! Then you won't be saying anything!" He yelled as he tried to shoot another arrow towards his enemy.

Soon he had to dodge a man sized lion.

"Wh-what the hell was that? A lion?" Kidomaru said

Sai drew another ink construct on his scroll and lightning speed. Next a giant bird gleaned out of the drawing, allowing him to jump on its back. Sai immediately flew the bird up high to get a view of the situation. He noticed Iruka being pushed back by Ukon, Sozu at a stalemate with Kimimaro and Sakon fighting Naori while Kidomaru shot arrows towards each of his comrades.

'It seems like we'll need to find a way to get rid of the spider man first." He said and he took out a smaller scroll with a certain form of ink as he imprinted his chakra into it. It was a creation of his own via ink, gunpowder and a few drops of his own blood.

"Super Beast Scroll art!" He drew a set of small birds and then he sent them out toward the six limbed man. He drew his tanto and flew low behind some of the other buildings in the area.

Kidomaru looked up and shot an arrow towards Sai but his ink bird dodged. He was eventually forced out of his hiding spot by the ink birds.

"You fucking trash!" He cursed as he jumped and avoided several of the birds.

He leapt through several buildings and he began to create several golden boomerangs. He

threw them at the birds and saw that they exploded and he grew alarmed.

'What? This bastard has explosive ink!'

He soon found himself avoiding an ink lion as he shot webs onto the buildings and slung himself away from them as the lions tried to bite at him. He created more golden kunai as he threw them at the lions and he slung himself atop the next building and he got an idea as shot a web out towards his opponent Sai flew upwards and drew several explosive bats and they flew towards the six armed man but he shot out a golden web at them catching them and getting them stuck. Sai had to jump off his bird as it crashed into the web. He took to the shadows of an alley to hide himself. Kidomaru laughed at him and smirked as he found a high vantage point on a tall building. He realized they were beginning to attract attention from the locals and he decided he would be getting this over with. He spat out an arrow with a spring-like head and created another golden spider bow with resilient silk thread for the string.

Sai knew he was in trouble and that there were civilians around so he performed a genjutsu on the area to conceal his presence.

'Oh, a minor genjutsu eh? Well I'll just start killing people to pass the time then!' he thought

"Oh, so you're using clones eh? No matter, I'll just kill you both!" he said as he shot the spring-like arrow towards the clone on the roof top and it seemed as though he hit it. But soon it disappeared and he grimaced in annoyance.

"You little twerp! Just die already!" he called out as the second clone began to draw ink creatures while running.

He made another golden arrow and shot it towards him with ease but the clone dodged it, surprising him using a building as cover.

"TSK! I just need to use my second arrow to get rid of you!" he said as he spat out the spring-like arrow. He saw that Sai was desperately moving behind several buildings for cover and he grinned evilly as he shot the arrow and hit his target tearing through a wooden house. He heard screams from civilians as they began to run from the area but he didn't care, as long as his target was dealt with.

Soon he heard wings flapping behind him and he whirled around to see an ink bird and it blew up near him at point blank range. There was a loud boom and the area blew up with cement and wood everywhere. Everyone else on the battlefield was initially shocked but they continued to battle on.

"That should've ended it." Sai said

A few moments passed as the smoke cleared.

"Is that what you thought?" Kidomaru asked as pieces of Gold were cracking and falling apart from his skin.

"Tch. Even if you've got armor I'll just tear it off." Sai said as he drew his tanto and channeled chakra into it as he slashed at his opponent.

Kidomaru punched him with 3 fists then he grabbed him with two hands. Sai drop kicked him causing him to let go and then he jumped back.

"It looks like I'll have to completely annihilate you!" Sai said as he jumped backwards

"Oh! I'd like to see you try!" Kidomaru yelled and bit his thumb going through hand signs and a summoning seal appeared.

A large cloud puffed from the circle and a giant black widow spider appeared. Sai was leaping away from him and dodging webs shot at him.

He pulled out a scroll and landed behind a building. He unfolded it and I showed two large Rounin Samurai warriors. He channeled chakra into it and the two soldiers came to life tearing through the building with a heavy destructive force.

"Shit! Looks like he was holding out on me!" Kidomaru laughed as his spider summons leapt back.

Sai took out another scroll and began to draw several creatures on it.

"Ninja Art: Super Beast Scroll!"

Three Lions leapt out and Sai leapt along the more stable wreckage of the buildings around him. He took a status report of the damage as he made his way around his inked creatures.

'Che, we've destroyed several buildings across this town. Luckily there were no casualties but this could become a potential problem!' He thought in worry.

Soon he pulled out a scroll with a predawn ink bird and he unrolled it and channeled chakra into it and a large bird came into view. He leapt on and they took to the sky to survey the battlefield.

Kidomaru had just gotten rid of one of his Rounin and he flew just close enough to the fight and he drew his tanto. He leapt off the bird dive bombing an unsuspecting Kidomaru. Soon two of his lions leapt forward in tandem with his Rounin construct as it cut through his spider.

"Rrgh! Damn these ink bastards." Kidomaru said as he dodged and leapt up a building to dodge the ink lions.

Sai smirked inwardly as he poised his tanto to strike. Kidomaru tensed as he felt incoming danger but he soon had to dodge the giant sword of a Rounin. This made him vulnerable enough as Sai dropped down on him and ran his short sword through his opponent's upper spine area. They slammed onto the ground with Sai using his body to land causing him to spit up a glob of blood

"Augh! What? So those… Rounin were just…ugh…" he breathed out his last breath leaving the earth

Then he heard another explosion on the other side of the field.

"Tch! I need a few minutes and I should be good to go back into battle." He said as he took out a food pill.

Atop another building on the other side of the townwide battlefield:

Naori had her two Tomoe Sharingan in each eye trying to keep up with her opponent. Ukon was hard to hit literally using his scales arm and leg to block her shuriken jutsu. She was having a hard time getting a clean hit on him. His curse mark stage 2 form was also giving him a speed boost over her as well.

"Hahaha, what's the matter bitch? You can't touch me!" He yelled as he dodged a punch from her and rebutted with an elbow strike. She blocked as she parried several of his attacks

She was on the defensive end of the battle and she needed a way to reverse the flow of the fight. Soon she got an idea as she pretended to lose speed in her counter attacks. Ukon began to speed up but she still blocked and evaded his moves.

"What's this? For an Uchiha you sure are weak!" He called out as he threw a wild left punch. Though this time, he overextended himself. Naori took the chance and kicked his ankle unbalancing him and punching him in his stomach, staggering him.

"You little…"

She followed up throwing a right cross jab while misleading him with her left hand. Finally she kicked him away from her.

"Bitch!" He scoffed as he drew a kunai and threw it at her.

She dodged but he threw several more with his right hand while going through hand signs with his left hand.

"Wind style: Breakthrough!" He yelled as a pressured gust of wind pushed her back.

Next he went through more hand signs ending on the snake.

"Earth style: stalagmite piercer!"

Naori had no choice but to jump away as pulled several shuriken from her ninja tool pouch. She threw them at her opponent who dodged and used his scaled arm to defend yet again.

"This again? And just when started your comeback" he said with a snide tone

As he spoke he didn't notice the thread attached to the 4 pointed blades. He smirked as she threw two more handfuls of shuriken at his opponent.

"Foolish!" Ukon called out

As he taunted, he failed to notice the wire attached to the shuriken. She pulled the wires on the stars and they wrapped around his ankles and calves. He grimaced at the fact that he was in an enemy trap.

"Rrgh! Raaaagh!" He yelled as he tried to break his bindings but to his surprise he couldn't.

"Are these…bindings getting stronger?" He asked as he felt his strength leaving. He looked to see a triumphant smirk on Naomi's face.

"This is a special ninja thread imbued with chakra absorption seals. I made it myself after studying several books on sealing jutsu from the land of Whirlpools." She replied

"Guh! So you… you made me think I was winning when… you were just… luring me…into a false sense of victory…"

Naori smirked as she drew a kunai knife with several paper bombs attached and threw it at him. Then she put her hands in the ram seal and multiple explosions went off.

After the smoke cleared it showed a charred and bruised Ukon, dead.

"Now, to wrap this up." she said

Iruka was having an interesting bout with Sakon as he was being gradually overwhelmed. He had to dodge Sakons limb as it smashed through the wall of a building.

"Che, this is going nowhere. I need to get him the fuck outta here and fast. We need to get back to catching up with the 6 tail's jinchuriki." Iruka said

Iruka put down a seal on the wall next to him and drew a handful of kunai. He had been playing cat and mouse with his opponent long enough. He heard footsteps as he hid behind a wall.

"Come out come out! Treehugger!" Sakon chanted

As got several feet away, Iruka jumped out and threw several kunai knives at his opponent who used his armored left arm to block the attacks.

"Do you ever learn?" He called out as he snatched a kunai thrown at him and threw it back with ease as Iruka dodged.

Sakon leapt towards him but he dodged with ease and punched the leaf Jonin. Iruka blocked with his forearm as he was sent flying into a wall as he coughed off blood. He put another seal on the wall he slammed again.

"Ugh! Rgh!" He groaned as he stood up in a bit of pain. He began to run as Sakon ran with him and he threw a hail of kunai at him.

Iruka jumped to a different area as he landed and he put another seal on the ground as he dodged a kick from his opponent. He led his opponent toward the center of the triangle formation of seals.

Then he threw a volley of shuriken towards him covered in fire chakra. This made him jump backwards and not tank the knives like he did before.

"Che, youre get to annoying! Time to-"

Soon he saw Iruka going through hand signs ending on the boar seal.

"Ninja Art: 3 Point Paralysis Seal!" He yelled

"Urgh! Wha-" Sakon was frozen in place as he stood within the range of the tange of the 3 seals

'S-so that's what he was doing. This whole time he was playing me for a fool and I fell for it.' Sakon thought

Iruka took out a kunai and channeled fire chakra into and threw it a Sakons forehead and it tore through his scalp leaving a hole in his head that leaked a copious amount of blood. Then he deactivated the seal.

"Now to go check on the others." He said as he leapt towards where he saw Sozu battling.

Sozu was dodging Kimimaro's attacks as he had switched from a straight up sword fight to using his bones through his entire body while using taijutsu against Sozu

"Dance of the Larch!" He called out as he spun in a swift set of movements that Sozu had to dodge and block a multitude of attacks.

'And he had someone this strong on his side the whole time? Good thing I'm not who I was 3 years ago or I'd be toast' Sozu thought.

Soon he had to dodge several tendrils of bone and had use the kaioken to dodge a tail swipe from his opponent.

"You are really annoying. I'm not going to Orochimaru dammit!" Sozu said as he realized he couldn't hold back

"And I've told you-"

Kimimaro's right hand grew bones that formed into a drilling spear. Then he reached up and the handle of his spine popped out. He pulled and pulled until a long, whip-like, black and white spinal chord came out

"You should be honored to be of use to Lord Orochimaru!" He said as he narrowed his eyes at Sozu.

Soon they clashed and Sozu was pushed back as he flipped and landed vertically and jumped up to dodge several bone bullets, back flipping onto the roof of the building. He used his sword to parry several bone bullets. Then he gathered fire chakra along his sword and used his blade to guard against the sword and let it slide along the blade as he used it to slide across the drill trying to cut a piece of it off but it made a Skirting sound. His sword slid off the bone spear and Kimimaro spun and flailed his whip at him. Sozu flipped dodging the bone whip and he gathered chakra into his blade and he went through hand signs with his sword still in his hand.

"Water Style: Pressure Cutter!"

He spat out a thin stream of pressurized water to cut through Kimimaro. He reinforced his bones to withstand the stream causing it to only tear his skin. Sozu jumped back and soon he had to gather ki and slash his sword at a high velocity.

"Judgment Cut!" he yelled as he parried away several flails with his spinal whip.

"Che, Fire Style: Hellraiser!" he yelled as he stabbed his sword into the ground and several spikes of flames burst through the ground.

But, Kimimaro dodged as he leapt up and stabbed forward to slice at the Sekigan wielder.

"Tch!"

He spun as he evaded the stab, flipping away from him and landing on a rooftop. Kimimaro leapt forward as he stood where he was and horizontally swung his whip at his opponent. He used his sword to block and it was yanked out of his hands.

"Now! YOU WILL SUBMIT!" he yelled

Sozu smirked and put two fingers on his forehead teleporting towards his sword and channeling ki through it and then he ripped his sword out of the bones grasp flipping backwards landing onto the street. Kimimaro stood menacingly above on a building rooftop.

"You are indeed powerful. But the victory shall be mine" Kimimaro said

Sozu allowed his cursed seal of heaven to spread fully across his body. His skin was lighter and his hair was white. He grew fangs that protruded from his mouth, his Sekigan were active and the veins formed around the outside of his eyes. He glowed a bluish, reddish aura and snakes protruded where his arms used to be.

"It seems you were able to reach stage two without going through the process of rebirth. How very interesting. Now I see why Lord Orochimaru desires to make you his vessel. You are an enigma of your own with talent to boot." The Kaguya Shinobi complemented

Sozu smirked as he sheathed his sword.

"Flattery will get you nowhere. Now, I've got a mission to get back to, so this'll be over in 5 seconds" Sozu said as his aura intensified.

"You're a very cocky one. I'll be sure to humble you before we reach the Hidden Sound Village."

Sozu took a deep breath and he centered himself. The wind around him began to intensify along with his aura crackling. Kimimaro began to feel the pressure from the ki he was outputting.

"What is thi-"

He was cut off as Sozu disappeared. The area began to receive over a thousand slashes and cuts. It looked like reality itself was beginning to be cleaved in half in multiple places. The swipes, cuts and slashes of the blade carved through his opponent like a hot knife to butter. All Kimimaro could hear was the whiffs through the air and the contact the blade made with his skin. Sozu reappeared behind him, whipping the blood off his blade and sheathing it. As he sheathed his blade and the audible click of the scabbard grip hit the top of the sheath. Several critical gashes and cuts appeared all over Kimimaro along with his tail being cut off and the bone spear and whip shattering along with his wounds spurting a lot of blood. Soon he dropped to his knees and fell flat hitting the ground with an audible thud.

"Judgment Cut: End" Sozu said as his curse mate began to recede.

Suddenly he turned to see his teammates watching him in amazement.

"We should probably get going. This place is too visible. And the samurai that guard the village are on the way."

"R-right! Everyone, let's get out of sight!" Iruka said and they followed his lead.

As they escaped, they all thought about what they had just witnessed.

'He was sitting on that much power? What is he?' Naori thought as she glanced at Sozu

"We'll need to rest for a few hours. Our goal is still to find the 6 tails, but we can't do that if we're barely able to fight. Any objections?" Iruka asked

"Fine by me." Sai said

"None" Naori Said

"I'll send out a few shadow clones to look for a lead while rest" Sozu said

Zetsu looked around the battlefield from a camouflaged position. He had witnessed bits an pieces of the battle and he was impressed yet alarmed. He was impressed at how efficiently they defeated 5 of the Sound Espada. And, alarmed at how strong the Hidden Leaf shinobi were.

"It seems as though Orochimaru underestimated Sozu Kohinata." White Zetsu said

"No, Kimimaro was rejuvenated and healed from his sickness as well as having mastery of his Kekkei genkai. That boy is stronger than what he should be. His teammates were also stronger than we predicted. We'll need to let Madara know of this development." Black Zetsu said

"Yes, but first we'll need to gather the corpses." White Zetsu said
