Forever Nature Trip of Trouble
The scene shows Nia and Blake walking together in the hallway talking about a certain subject that makes Blake feel uncomfortable.
"I don't know, Nia." Blake exclaimed.
"Blake, come on. It's been a little over a month now and our parents still haven't heard any words from you." Nia said.
"And maybe it's better this way to hear from the daughter who threw awful words at them." Blake believed sadly hugging her arms under her breasts.
"But they forgave you, they know how much you want to make the Faunus's right to stand on equally footing with the humans. And you know I'm glad you finally decided to leave the White Fang." Nia placed a hand on her sister's shoulder.
"I still wish I could have done something more, if I have realized what I was getting myself into then maybe"
"Then maybe what? Talk to them, have them see the error of their ways, and maybe have Adam stop? You and I both know how stubborn Adam is, and the pain he went through." Nia reminded Blake how dangerously stubborn Adam is.
"I've been trying to forget about that." Blake said.
"Blake, please. Our parents and me never stop thinking about you, so one call to them won't hurt and there is also the matter with your team." Nia mentioned team RWBY.
"Nia, we talked about this." Blake sighed.
"I know and I'm going to keep bringing it up. So far, they think we have separate moms, and you were born a human which I only agree to play along only if you tell them the truth once you gotten along with them." Nia mentioned.
"When I tell and it's still not the right time." Blake stated.
"If you're worry about the Schnee girl giving you a hard time then let me point out that her aunt is a Faunus, blood related and all, so I'm sure Weiss will be accepting like Ruby and Yang." Nia pointed out.
"But even so, Weiss could still hate the Faunus who made her life like hell." Blake worried.
"Just give her a chance, and maybe with Weiss help, you two can stop the White Fang before they become worse than they already are." Nia said.
"Yeah, maybe." Blake said with a small smile.
"At least give it some thought. Night." Nia walked away to her team's room as Blake does the same.
Nia enters the room seeing her team doing their own things: Rex is reading some of his favorite adventure books, Mythra is listening to some of her music from her Scroll, and Pyra is brushing her hair with her red comb.
"Pyra, Mythra, you two always have each other's backs, right?" Nia asked curious.
"Yeah, probably because we're sister, but even if we weren't, we still be together." Pyra answered.
"You got that right." Mythra smirked with a thumb up.
"Reminds me of how me and Blake were." Nia recalled how she and Blake used to play together as kids.
"At least you two are together in a way here in Beacon, and maybe hang out a little more with the fieldtrip tomorrow." Rex mentioned.
"Yeah, I guess that's another good thing I can look forward to." Nia smiled.
"Well, I going to sleep." Nia stretched her arms and jumps on her bed.
However, Nia jumps a little far on the other side of her bed with her feet very close to the edge causing her to trip and fall right on top of Rex and they both fell to the floor.
"Oh, are you two alright?" Pyra asked.
"Yeah, I think so." Nia groaned a bit.
Both the cat and the salvage boy realize the position they're in and their face ever so close to each other, almost like they're about to kiss, Rex and Nia blushes of this awkward moment while their hearts are racing and they quickly separate.
"And thought I was awkward with my sleepwalk." Mythra teased.
"Y-You okay, from the fall, I mean?" Rex asked stutter.
"Yeah, nothing broken and all. Good night." Nia quickly changed into her pajama, jump on her bed, and pull the bedsheet over herself.
"Well, I'm down for some sleep." Mytrha put away her Scroll.
"Yeah, me too." Pyra said feeling jealous that she saw Nia's face being close to Rex's.
"Uh, you okay, Pyra?" Rex asked, wondering why she has a slight upset face.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Let just go to sleep now." Pyra said walking up to her bed.
Rex thought there is something else going on with Pyra, but decided to leave it be for now and just went right to bed.
(Tomorrow, the Forever Forest)
We now see some of the students are walking through a large forest where all the leaves are red and seems endless everywhere, they look, this is the Forever Forest that the students are here for the fieldtrip today and Professor Goodwitch is with them as the Huntress keeping an eye on them.
"Wow, I never knew a forest could look so beautiful." Rex complimented.
"I remember father used to take us here to relax and enjoy the great outdoors." Pyra smiled.
"Yes, students, the forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so." Glynda informed.
"As if she can't tell we can take care of ourselves." Mythra rolled her eyes.
"She is just concern for our safety; she knows we're strong." Pyra stated.
"Yeah, strong enough to make you cry like little girls." Cardin mocked as one of his teammates laugh a little.
"Oh yeah, I would like to see you fight off a big Grimm yourself." Mythra mocked back as the two glares at each other.
"Easy Mythra, let not do anything that could get you in trouble." Rex said getting between Mythra and Cardin.
"Whatever." Cardin grunted as he and his team walk away from them a little.
"Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o'clock. Have fun!" Glynda instructed with a jar in her hand before walking away.
"Oh, I'm going to love this assignment." Nora giggled in joy.
"I know that look, Nora and whatever you're thinking, please stop." Ren begged calmly.
"Come on, Team, let's go collect some sap!" Ruby commanded bravely.
"Not as exciting as fighting Grimm, but I'll take what I can get." Yang shrugged.
"There is more to being a Huntress than fighting Grimm, you have to be resourceful when it comes to going out on missions like making sure your weapons are working right and having enough food for the trip." Blake explained about one of the things of being a Huntress.
"Don't forget about being smart, sometimes you may find yourself in a situation that you won't be able to muscle your way through." Nia mentioned.
"Then maybe I 'whisker' my way out of there." Yang punned and everyone groans of annoyance.
"Are you ever going to stop with those stupid puns?" Mythra asked angry.
"Never, I will continue to bring out my puns as long as I have my funny bone!" Yang proclaimed with a fist in the air.
"Oh, joy." Weiss said sarcastically.
Soon, everyone got work on taking filling the jars with the sap from the trees going for as much as they can though the one team is having trouble with collecting some saps such as team JNPR, Nora eats up the sap whenever she gets the chance as they try to stop her. Jaune would hand one or two jars of sap filled to Rex's team to ensure Nora doesn't get them, but it would be hard to keep them from Nora sometimes.
When Jaune got another jar fill, he notices some movements behind the trees and narrow his eyes seeing the figures to be team CRDL sneaking their way up hill while carrying some jars full of sap and one of the teammates appears to be carrying a cardboard box.
"Hmm…" Jaune hummed, wondering what those guys are up to.
"Jaune, is everything alright?" Rex asked.
"I'm not sure, Cardin and his team are going up hill and I'm getting a bad feeling about what their up to." Jaune informed.
"Then I think we should go check it." Rex suggested.
Jaune nods and leave his jars on the grass before sneaking their way away from the teams and follow team CRDL up the hill, the only one who notices them leaving is Nia with her ear twitches upon hearing their footsteps getting further away from them.
"I wonder where those two are going?" Nia asked.
"Something wrong, Nia?" Pyra asked her cat-Faunus friend.
"Jaune and Rex are going somewhere deeper in the forest, not sure why thought." Nia answered as she is being curious of this.
"Maybe they need to pee." Nora suggested and got punch in the head by Pyrrha.
"Eeew! Nora, don't say something like that out loud." Pyrrha scolded and grossed out by what the carrot-top color hair girl just said.
"I'm sure those two will be okay, they're strong." Ruby assured.
(With Rex and Jaune)
Rex and Jaune are being careful walking and hiding behind the trees while following team CRDL at the top of the hill where Rex believes is a high view to spot the rest of the group, the bully team is chuckling and smirking.
"Alright boys, the moment has come." Cardin declared and look down spotting Pyrrha.
"That's the girl. Red-haired know-it-all, thinks she's so smart." Cardin angered and pulled the box in front of him that has the letter "W" on it.
"Thanks to Sky here managed to round up an entire box of Rapier Wasps. Also discovering that he has a strange way of luring bugs around him." Cardin weirded out when they look at Sky.
"It's both a gift and a curse in my family." Sky bragged.
"Now, according to one of the essays I had to force myself to write last week, these nasty things loooove sweets. I'm thinking it's time we teach her a thing or two." Cardin smirked as Dove handed him the jar of sap.
"Let see if the "Champion" can swat away some bugs." Russel laughed.
"We have to do something." Rex whispered to Jaune.
Jaune quickly think of a plan and look at the other jars of sap behind the bullies, then he ran out of his hiding place and grab a jar.
"Hey, Cardin!" Jaune shouted getting their attention.
"Jauney boy?" Cardin puzzled of why this dork is here.
"Hope you had a 'sweet' day!" Jaune threw the jar right at Cardin on the chest plate which only made him angry.
"Not exactly what I would have done, but I guess that works." Rex said walking out of hiding.
"You two pipsqueaks should have just stayed with your friends because now we're going to give you a painful beating." Cardin said as he and his team get ready for a fight.
"Two against one each, sounds like fun." Russel chuckled.
"Once we're done with you, you'll be sent home in teeny tiny pieces." Cardin smirked.
"I don't care what you do to me... but you are not messing with my team." Jaune glared Cardin actually making him flinch a bit.
"That's right, when it comes to my friends getting pick on, I'll stand up strong and face them head on." Rex declared strongly.
"What? You two think talk like that makes you tough? You think you're a couple of big strong men now?" Cardin asked a little angry.
"I believe we are men, more manly than you." Rex stated.
"Yeah, so give us your best shot." Jaune dared.
With that, Cardin yell and charges at Jaune throwing a strong punch to the face intending on knocking Jaune down still believing him to be a weakling, but the moment the fist made contact Jaune's aura glow a little brightly and Cardin cries in pain as he holds his hand. Jaune is surprise by this and look down at his hands seeing his aura glowing for a moment before fading.
"(I don't remember activating my aura like that?)" Jaune thought asked himself how he did that just now.
However, that left Jaune distracted for Sky to kick him down and Rex quickly steps in swinging his sword at him causing Sky to jump back.
"Okay, now you two are just pissing me off." Cardin growled.
However, team CRDL heard a low growl coming from behind them causing the bully team to freeze in fear and slowly turn around to gaze at a big Ursa Major growling at them as it was attracted to the negative emotions from them, and the sweet scent of the sap on Cardin's armor.
"That's a big Ursa!" Russel scared.
"S-S-So, we can h-handle it." Cardin said trying to act tough while his legs are shaking in fear.
"Hold on, we got another one at our six." Rex alerted upon spotting another Ursa Major walking up to them.
Three of team CRDL screams in fear and ran for their life heading back to the group while Cardin was left behind before he realizes this.
"Uh, yeah, good idea guys. A strategic retreat sounds good." Cardin said wanting to run away too, but the Ursa in front of him blocks his way.
Cardin took out his mace to fight, but the Ursa smack it away and the mace lands at Jaune's feet who is conflicted on whether to fight or not.
"Come on, Jaune, we have to help him?" Rex said.
"What?" Jaune asked.
"Cardin maybe a bully, we are training to help everyone in need including bullies like them." Rex stated on being a Huntsman.
(With Pyra and Group)
"Did you guys hear that?" Pyra asked as she could have sworn, she heard a roar.
"Sounds like it came from the hill Jaune and Rex went up to." Nia located where the sound was coming from.
"Ursa! Ursa!" Russel screamed repeatedly; he runs into Yang accidentally though she is unfazed by it.
"What? Where?" Yang asked as she lifts Russel by his front shirt.
"Back there! It's got Cardin!" Russel answered.
"Jaune!" Pyrrha gasped.
"Yang! You and Blake, go get Professor Goodwitch!" Ruby ordered with her scythe ready.
"You two, go with them! There could be more!" Pyrrha said to Ren and Nora.
"Mythra, Nia, you two stand guard here." Pyra said as she runs with Ruby, Weiss, and Pyrrha.
(Back with Jaune and Rex)
Jaune jumps in saving Cardin from being crush by the Major Ursa's paw going for Cardin, blocking the attack with his shield, while Rex is dealing with the other Ursa dodging its attacks. Jaune pull his shield down to pull the Ursa's paw down and stab his sword through the arm causing the bear monster to roar in pain, it tries to crush him with its other paw, but Jaune dodges it and slash at the stomach.
Pyra and the girls have arrive at the scene where Jaune and Rex are fighting the two big Grimms and Weiss was about to step in to help.
"No, let them." Pyrrha stopped Weiss.
"She's right, they can handle this." Pyra smiled.
Rex is using his forcefield Semblance to block some savage attacks from the Ursa waiting for the right moment to strike, when the Ursa raise both paws to strike down, Rex deactivate the forcefield and roll forward letting the Ursa slam its paws at the ground. This gave Rex the chance to impale it with his sword and made another forcefield to throw the Ursa in the air, then unleash a final attack with an air slash from the air dust in his sword.
Back with Jaune, he dodges another attack from the last Ursa and blocks an attack with his shield though still got push back. Jaune look at his Scroll seeing his aura is almost at the red level, he got up and charges at the Ursa to make one final charge though it looks like the big black bear would win.
Pyrrha saw this and raise her hand being coated in black aura and Jaune's shield glows black raising it to block the Ursa's attack, which gave Jaune the chance to swing his sword up and slices the head off.
Ruby and Weiss are surprise by this and look at Pyrrha.
"Was your Semblance?" Pyra asked.
"That's right, my polarity allows me to control metal around me." Pyrrha nodded.
"Whoa, that is cool!" Ruby amazed.
"Maybe, but I think Rex and Jaune fighting those Grimm was much cooler." Pyra smiled.
"I couldn't agree more." Pyrrha said.
Rex and Jaune walk up to the shock Cardin as the blonde knight help him up.
"Holy crap!" Cardin said.
"Don't ever mess with my team - my friends - ever again." Jaune threatened scaring Cardin bit and he walks away with Rex.
"Feels pretty good now, huh?" Rex asked smiling.
"Better than ever." Jaune said.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Jaune managed to defeat an Ursa on his own (with a little help) and had Rex by his side for a little extra encouragement, and now Jaune feels stronger in spirit. Hope you like the scene with Nia and Blake at the start of this chapter because that's a hint for the next chapter when a certain little secret is about to be reveal.
