Investigation Becoming a Little Harder

Ruby and Rex are very shocked upon seeing the metal literally under Penny's skin as she told them she's not a real girl.

"And I thought I've already seen weird things before coming to Beacon." Rex commented.

"Penny, I-I don't understand..." Ruby puzzled of this news revealing that her friend turns out to be some kind of robot girl or something.

"Most girls are born, but I was made. I'm the world's first synthetic person capable of generating an Aura." Penny revealed what she really is.

"Wow, that sounds really cool!" Rex complimented as he is still shocked at the same time.

"Yes, but… I'm not real." Penny said with a sadden face, looking down at her hands with the metal as she knows that she can never be like everyone else and that always makes her sad.

But then two pairs of hands from Ruby and Rex came together taking Penny's hands confusing the now revealing robot girl.

"I say you're real. A real good friend." Rex stated.

"Yeah, you think just because you've got nuts and bolts instead of squishy guts makes you any less real than me?" Ruby asked with a bright smile.

"I don't... um... You're... taking this extraordinarily well." Penny surprised of their reaction as she leans her face a little closer to them, seeing no hint of them freaking out.

"You're not like those things we saw back there. You've got a heart, and a soul; I can feel it!" Ruby believed as she taps a finger on Penny's chest.

"And besides, there are lots of people being different from each other and that's more than the Faunus. Some talk a little differently, their minds work differently, there are even some who do things no one else has. Being different is what makes you special for being yourself." Rex stated with his own smile.

"Ruby, Rex… You two are the best friends anyone could have!" Penny pulled the two into a bone-crushing hug as she is filled with joy in her circuits.

"I can see why your father would want to protect such a delicate flower!" Ruby exclaimed, feeling the air being squeezed out of her lungs.

"Oh, he's very sweet! My father's the one that built me! I'm sure you would love him!" Ruby amazed.

"Yeah, your dad must be a really brilliant man to have even come up with making an aweome girl like you!" Rex complimented making Penny feel very happy.

"Thank you, but my father had help from Mr. Ironwood." Penny said.

"The general guy from Atlas? Huh, didn't think he would into robots." Rex surprised. He wonders if General Ironwood has his own ways with robotics.

"Were there other people in the project of making you?" Rex asked.

"Well, there is this one other boy and the last time I saw him, he was going to work on his own robotic project though I don't know what that is yet." Penny answered, thinking back on that friend she knew.

"Wait a minute, is that why those soldiers were after you?" Ruby asked about the Atlas soldiers.

"They like to protect me too!" Penny answered.

"Protect you? Consider how strong you are when you stopped that trunk, I think they're the ones who need protecting." Rex joked a bit.

"Yeah, how could they not think you can protect yourself?" Ruby asked scoffing.

"They're not sure if I'm ready yet... One day, it will be my job to save the world, but I still have a lot left to learn. That's why my father let me come to the Vytal Festival. I want to see what it's like in the rest of the world and test myself in the Tournament." Penny explained.

This confuses both Rex and Ruby on what Penny is going on about saving the world which sounds like something big is gonna happen.

"Penny, what are you talking about? Save the world from what? We're in a time of peace!" Ruby pointed out.

"Despite still having Grimms around trying to kill us all, that's still not a big issue." Rex added.

"That's not what Mr. Ironwood said..." Penny confused.

"(How odd, what could Ironwood be planning to have Penny save the world? And why do I get a really bad feeling about this?)" Rex thought worried.

"Check down here!" A man called out, making the three realizes the Atlas soldiers have caught up to them.

"You two have to hide!" Penny said before lifting both up in each hand as if they were lighter than a pillow.

"H-Hey, let's not do anything drastic!" Rex scared a little.

"What are you doing? You don't have to go with them! We can help you!" Ruby tried to reason with her robotic friend.

However, Penny wouldn't stop as she gets closer to the dumpster and threw her two friends in there and reaches her hands for the lid.

"It's okay, Ruby. They're not bad people; I just don't want to get you in trouble. Just promise me you won't tell anyone else my secret. Okay?" Penny asked gravely.

Ruby wanted to refuse at first, but she knew that Penny might get taken away and back to Atlas immediately if they found out something happened here. Rex also understands this, knowing that Atlas wants to take extra care of Penny since she's an important girl for them to become a robotic Huntress.

"I promise." Ruby nodded.

"Me too and remember that you are not alone. Whenever you're feeling sad and need some comfort, you can always come to us." Rex advised.

"Thank you, Rex. I'll do just that." Penny smiled back before closing the lid on them.

Penny turns around seeing the Atlas soldiers coming towards her as she was grateful to have gotten the time to talk with Rex and Ruby and trusting them with her secret.

"Sal-u-tations, officers!" Penny greeted causally with her signature smile.

"Why were you running? And what happened to the boy and that other girl?" Atlas soldier 1 asked as he looks around.

"What girl or boy? I've been by myself all day!" Penny lied with a hiccup, but the soldiers don't know about that which is good.

"You shouldn't have caused a scene like that." Atlas soldier 2 scolded.

"Now, now, boys. Penny has always been the curious type, so it wouldn't be a surprise that she wants to see more of what Vale has to offer." A woman said, walking up to them.

"Oh, hello Brighid! I didn't know you were going to be out here today." Penny greeted smiling.

"Specialist Brighid!" The two Atlas soldiers saluted to the woman.

"I was out here doing a little stroll of the city and imagine my surprise when they reported about the sighting of a special Atlas girl being out here and running away." Brighid said in an amusing tone.

Brighid is a beautiful woman with long purple hair that ombrés into blue at its ends. She wears half of it loose down to her thighs and the other half in Chinese-styled buns that are constantly ablaze in blue flame. Her eyes are usually closed, and she has blue flame marks on her forehead above her eyebrows. She wears She is very tall and has a curvaceous figure accented by her dress; it is deep purple and floor-length but fronted by a transparent chemise. Her arms and legs appear to be covered in blue crystal which resembles the shape and color of her flames. She has a belt on her waist holding a dagger and several orange glow-sticks. She also wears a necklace with a blue tear of flame gem. Breasts size: J-cup.

"I'm sorry, I just thought I saw something amazing, and I wanted to see it for myself, but I lost track of it." Penny explained, lying to cover Rex and Ruby.

"As long as you're okay, then I don't think we have anything to worry about." Brighid smiled.

"But I also heard you stopped a truck, is your skin fabric still okay?" Brighid asked.

"Just a scratch." Penny assured as she knows the little peeling from the palm.

"Penny, your father isn't going to be happy about this." Atlas soldier worried.

"This can be easily fix, let just head back to the ship and have you repair." Brighid suggested.

"Yes, ma'am." Penny nodded.

"I hope Morag doesn't get angry at me." Penny worried.

"I'm sure she'll understand it wasn't a big deal, but you best brace yourself, just in case." Brighid advised as Penny nods.

Penny, Brighid, and the Atlas soldiers leave the area as Rex and Ruby slow move the lid slightly to see them leave and smile knowing that Penny is going to be okay.

Brighid carefully turns her head with her left eye slightly open almost like she was looking directly at the two hidden students of Beacon. But that can't be, there was no way she knew about them hiding in that dumpster. Could it?

"(That woman seems sharper than she looks.)" Rex thought commented.

Suddenly there was a screeching of a rat and Ruby jump in shock causing the lid to fall on Rex's head that hurt a little.

(With Yang's Group)

The scene shows the ruin part of Vale with one building that doesn't look old, or rundown is a nightclub, and there are a couple of screams or three from a distance.

Those screams turn out to be Yang's group as they jump into the street going at high speed until Yang stop her bike hard on the brake, and immediately stop right in front of the nightclub.

"W-We're here…" Yang panted with her hair looking a little messy with strands sticking out and one side is almost spiky like an anime style hairdo.

"Finally?!" Neptune jumped off the bike and started kissing the ground repeatedly for a moment.

"Oh my, has your motorcycling rides always been this extreme?" Kasandra asked as she gets off and feeling dizzy.

"Not the way I remember, how the fuck did a balloon pop from just touching my head to make me go through a carwash?" Yang asked, still shock from the experience.

"That's just how Kasandra's bad luck is. A Semblance that she can never turn off, no matter how hard she tries." Neptune explained.

"I'm truly sorry." Kasandra apologized.

"It's fine, we're still in one piece and so is my bike." Yang gestured to her bike, Bumblebee. Then the windshield crack which made Yang scream in fear.

"I will do what I can to get that fix, and maybe the carwash too." Kasandra promised.

"All that soap exploding at once, almost makes me never want to take a bath." Neptune felt scared for a second there.

"Anyway, let's move past that and meet up with my friend in there." Yang said as she toward the nightclub.

Inside the nightclub, there are men in black working for the owner of the nightclub just enjoying themselves and talking about some things besides work, and then some sounds came from the door despite the music playing.

It almost sounds like two men are panicking, and they would be right of thinking that when the two men guarding the door quickly comes in and sealed the door. The DJ stops the music upon seeing this and everybody is confused.

"What are you two idiots doing?!" The boss, Junior Xiong, asked.

But before those men would say anything, the door is suddenly forced open from the other side sending the door and the men flying away as they crash onto the dancefloor.

"Guess who's back!" Yang announced as she walks in, and dozens of guns are pointed at her very closely.

"Yeah, so could you define "friend" for me?" Neptune asked.

"Yes, I believe this is not how friends would greet each other nor have such hatred for you in their eyes." Kasandra pointed out, peeking over from behind Yang.

"Stop, stop! Nobody shoot." Junior ordered as he cuts through his men. He has gotten this place cleaned up after the last time this blondie powerhouse came in and trash the place, he does NOT want to go through all that again.

"Blondie, you're here! ...Why?" Junior asked. He really hopes this girl isn't looking to trash his place again.

"You still owe me a drink." Yang said as she gabs his arm and drag him to the bar counter.

"Should we really be okay with being here? I feel like this is a place for adults." Kasandra concerned.

"We're 17, girl! That means we're going to be adults very soon and we may have our own fun." Neptune pointed out with a grin as he notices twins right next to them.

"Yep." Neptune greeted with a flirt at the twins.

But the twins were not interested in the blue hair boy and just walk away.

"Whatever." Neptune shrugged.

"Maybe I should go talk to them, girl-to-girl." Kasandra decided to help as she walks the twins.

"Oh fuck, she better not end up getting them hurt… or destroy this place." Neptune gulped in fear.

(With Blake's Group)

Blake, Nia, and Sun arrive at the location for the White Fang rally to gather new recruits. They hide behind the corner of a building and peek out to see some new Faunus going inside the warehouse with a White Fang welcoming them in.

"This is it." Blake said.

"You sure?" Sun asked as he wanted to be sure.

"I don't see you knowing any other locations where the White Fang is holding the rally." Nia stated as they start walking there slowly.

"Okay, then I'll take that as a yes." Sun nodded.

Blake unfastening her bow and Nia pulled out a Grimm mask for the three of them, looking at them made Nia feel uneasy but knew they need them to get in.

"I don't get it. If you believe what you're doing is right, why hide who you are?" Sun asked. He always wondered why bother with the mask.

"The masks are a symbol. Humanity wanted to make monsters out of us, so we chose to don the faces of monsters." Blake explained.

"Grimm masks... That's kind of dark." Sun commented.

"Same with the bastard who started this. Almost making Blake into another Adam." Nia angered.

"Nia." Blake sighed.

"You know it's true." Nia stand for what she said before putting on the mask.

"You two are such sunshine and rainbows together." Sun said sarcastically and put on his mask.

They entered the warehouse seeing lots of other new Faunus in here as they cut through to get close to the stage as best they can, then they look up seeing the White Fang Lieutenant on the stage.

"Thank you all for coming. For those of you who are joining us for the first time tonight, allow me to introduce a very special comrade of ours! I can assure you, he is the key to obtaining what we have fought for, for so long!" White Fang Lieutenant announced, and that special guest revealed himself.

All the Faunus were shocked to see a human, one known as Roman Torchwick is here in a White Fang rally as they are confused as well.

"Thank you, thank you! Please, hold your applause!" Roman chuckled.

"What's a human doing here?" A Faunus with antlers demanded.

"I'm glad you asked, "Deerie"! Now, I'll be the first to admit, humans... are the worst. Case in point." Roman pointed at himself. "So, I understand why you would like to see us all locked away, or, better yet, killed!"

"So, is he going somewhere with this?" Sun asked.

"He's trying to show that he also hates how the world treated him and wants payback. I hate to admit it, but he could win them over like that." Nia feared.

"But, before the claws come out, I'd like to mention the fact that you and I all have a common enemy: the ones in control, the people pulling the strings, the dirty, rotten humans that run our kingdoms! Government, military, even the schools: they're all to blame for your lot in life!" Roman pointed out and the crowd started to agree with him slowly turning into cheers.

"And they're all pests that need to be dealt with! Fortunately, I'm the best exterminator around... No offense to any rodents in the room." Roman said.

The curtains move revealing the giant Atlas mech behind with the White Fang emblem on the shoulders.

"Whoa, that's a big robot!" Sun shocked.

"How did he get that?" Blake asked worry.

"I'd be more worried about what he intends to do with that." Nia stated as the crowd cheers louder for this.
