Legends Ride Again:
S1: E8: Break Through
When Hunter got to the Owl House for his nightly training session with Luz, he wasn't surprised to find her already training. What surprised him was finding Luz in her Red Kuuga form, trying to figure out a technique.
The grimwalker decided not to announce his presence and watched Luz.
The human witch took a quick breath and got into her fighting stance. She then changed her stance; she placed her right fist against her side, closed palm facing up. Luz brought out her left hand, index, middle finger, and thumb, forming an L shape. She pushed out her left side slightly, planted her right foot firmly on the ground, and elevated her left foot.
Luz held that stance for about 10 seconds, studying her extended arm. She shook her head lightly and repositioned her arm. She bent it slightly at the elbow, lowered her hand so the palm was facing the ground, and opened all her fingers.
The human witch stared at her hand for another 10 seconds, then looked at the training dummy. She kicked off her left foot and dashed to the training equipment. She let out a short cry and threw a punch when in range.
Hunter choked an eyebrow when he saw Luz stop, her punch stopping an inch from hitting the dummy. With a sigh, she returned to her normal state, relaxing her body. She stared at the piece of training equipment with frustration.
"What are you trying to do?" Hunter asked, stepping into view.
Startled, Lux spun around on her heel and lost her balance. She tried to regain her footing but couldn't and fell onto her side, grunting slightly. Hunter winced slightly and walked up to Luz, offering her a hand.
The human took the offering, and Hunter helped her to her feet.
"Hunter?" Luz squeaked in surprise, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm just here to help with your training," Hunter replied plainly, "Like I have been doing for over a month."
Luz let out a slightly embarrassed chuckle as she rubbed the back of her head.
"Sorry," said meekly, "Guess I lost track of time."
Hunter gave his friend a look, then looked at the dummy she was practicing with. He could see where Luz had landed a few punches. He traced the shoulder of the dummy, nostalgia filling him, and he sighed.
"What were you trying to do here, Luz?" the young man asked curiously.
Luz's face fell as she joined her friend. "I was trying to figure out a move of my own," the human witch said with a hint of sourness.
Hunter looked at his friend with a cocked eyebrow. Luz saw the look and sighed. She then went to where she had placed her workout items and took a seat. Hunter, still confused by his friend's action, joined her.
Luz grabbed her water bottle and took a long sip. Hunter also took a drink from the bottle Luz had provided for him as he waited on his friend.
With a sigh, Luz lowered her bottle and said, "After what happened in Gravesfield, Mami showed me a video of Otasan changing into his Kuuga form. I saw that he looked a lot like I do."
Luz sighed and stood up. She took a few steps forward and looked at the training dummy she was using.
"Seeing him change like that made me realize just how much I get from him," Luz stated, slightly sad and looking at her right hand. She then looked at her friend, smiling slightly. "Plus, I want to figure out what's up with my hand."
Hunter nodded, recalling the incident from the human realm. He remembered the punch that ended the unusual Blooburn and how similar it was to the kick technique Luz used in her red Kuuga form.
The grimwalker looked at the human face and once again felt a connection with her. In a way, he and Luz were in a similar situation; he didn't know the person he was modeled after, and she didn't know her blood father.
"Okay," Hunter said, getting to his feet and looking at the human with determination. "Can you describe what you're feeling when your hand acts up?"
Luz stared at her friend for a second, then grinned as she began detailing the feeling she felt from her hand.

Captain Braddock stormed into the commons room, growling in frustration. He slammed his hand into a wall as Lady Blighttorne entered the room.
"No need to take your frustrations out on our dwelling, dear captain," the female knight snarked.
Braddock snarled and snapped his head in Blightthorne's decision. Before he could respond, the two knights heard a yelp. They looked to their right and saw Francis sitting on all fours.
"Darling Francis!" Lady Blightthorne gushed, hurrying over to her dear pet. "Where have you been all this time?
The feral witch just tilted slightly as the woman got down on her knees and began kissing his face. The knight captain watched all this with growing anger.
"We don't have time for this!" Braddock nearly screamed. "We need to learn how one of the greater Blooburn got free."
Lady Blightthorne sighed and straightened up. She looked at her fellow knight with a deadpan expression. Braddick didn't like the look he was getting and snarled at the female knight.
"Baddrock," Lady Blighttorne said calmly, "We had searched our entire base for over a day and found no trace of foul play. I have suspected that bindings with the sealing spell simply eroded through age."
Braddock snarled at the female knight. Lady Blighthorne ignored the gesture and headed to the exit, Francis hot on her heels.
"Where are you going?" the knight caption growled.
Lady Blighttorne stopped at the exit and looked at Braddick. "It's simple, dear captain," she replied condescendingly. 'Before you interrupted me, I was perfecting a strategy that will bring Kuuga to her knees. Maybe you should watch and see how true strategy is done."
Lady Blighttorne took her leave after that, her loyal pet following her. Captain Baddrock scoffed and also made his way to the door.
"I have more pressing matters than watching you glorify your ego more," he said.
He stepped out into the hall and stopped when he saw Francis staring at him with hungry eyes. Braddick was slightly surprised but quickly recovered and glared at the feral child. But before he could say anything, Francis hurried off.
"I still don't see what that woman finds so interesting about that thing," Braddock said disgustingly.
The knight captain looked down the hall the feral child scurried off to, scoffed, and then returned to his investigation.
(A day later)
Hexside's halls were buzzing as students moved to and from classes. Among the messes were four familiar faces hanging out at a locker. Willow, Amity, and Hunter were discussing a history assignment while Luz was trying to get some books for her next class when Gus joined them.
"Hey, Luz?" the young illusionist asked his human friend. "Can I run something by you?"
Struggling to get her books free, Luz replied, "Just a second, Gussy."
The HexGang watched as their human friend struggled for a second and then got in position; Amity got next to her girlfriend, and Hunter angled himself in Luz's direction.
To free her books from her locker's mouth, the human witch placed a foot on it and pulled harder. The locker suddenly opened its mouth, and the human and books went flying.
Amity and Hunter went to work immediately; the budding inventor summoned some Abomination matter to catch Luz. Hunter used his magic speed to grab the books before they hit some unfortunate student.
Luz glared at her locker as it hissed. The human witch returned the gesture and then got up.
"By now, Luz, I thought you would have figured out how to use a locker," Willow said with a good-natured smirk.
Luz just shrugged, a goofy smile on her face as she took her books from Hunter.
"Yeah, but where's the fun in that?" the human replied lightheartedly, then looked at Gus. "So, Gus-my-man, what can I do you today?"
"Well," Gus replied, "My dad asked me to help him name your forms for easier coverage. But I wanted to run them by you before I show them to Dad."
Luz felt a faint blush creep along her face. She was flattered, not only by the coverage of her actions as Kuuga but also by the fact that her friend considered her input in such a matter.
It didn't take long for Luz to get excited.
"Well, Gus," The Laito said excitedly, "Don't leave me hanging!"
Gus smiled and summoned a small notepad. Before he could begin, Hunter calmly interjected.
"Let's walk and talk. We should be getting to class."
Luz and Gus glared at their friend, but the group made their way to their history class, which they all shared.
"So," Gus said, looking at his notes, "I was thinking about calling your red form Mighty Form. For your blue one, I was thinking about Draon and Pegaus for green."
The young illusionist frowned and scratched his head as he looked at his friends.
"The purple form is where I ran into a wall. I was thinking either Titan or Wall Form…what's with the looks?" he asked when he saw the looks his friends were giving him.
"No offense, Gus," Hunter said with slight confusion. "But what's with those names?"
Willow and Amity's faces mirrored the grimwalker's confusion. Luz, on the other hand, had sparkles in her eyes as she thought over those names.
"What?" Gus asked casually, "They sound cool."
The two witches and one grimwalker exchanged looks before they turned their attention back to their youngest member.
"For starters, Gus," Willow said, "Why call Luz's red form Mighty?"
"Well," the young illusionist replied, looking at his best friend, "From what Hunter told me, Luz's red form was the mightiest of her forms."
Amity, Willow, and Hunter exchanged glazes as they reached the history glass room and entered. The group took their usual spot and continued their conversation.
"I guess I could see that," Amity stated awkwardly. "And I can see calling the blue form Dragon. But why Pagsus for Luz's green form?"
Gus was about to answer when Luz suddenly screamed, "I love them!"
The HexGang looked at their friend, not surprised by Luz's outburst. The human witch smiled as she looked at her friend.
"And I think my purple form should be called Titan," Luz told Gus, and she suddenly beamed. "Oh, how about calling my belt the Arcle?"
The young witch was about to answer his friend when a familiar voice spoke.
"Serious, human? You really like patting yourself on the back, don't you?"
The HexGang looked behind them and saw Boscha. The sportswoman was sitting like she owed the entire classroom and grinning arrogantly.
The HexGang gave the three-eyed witch a neutral look and returned to their conversation. Boscha scowled and growled as she didn't like to be ignored, especially by someone she considered beneath her.
"Hey!" the athlete screamed, jumping to her feet and slamming her hands on her desk. "Don't ignore me when I'm talking to you."
The HexGang continued to ignore her, moving from their previous conversation to getting out the items they might need for class. Boscha's anger grew, and she growled as she walked from her desk. Before she could reach them, another three-eye witch with teal skin and navy hair, wearing a healing and beast-keeping uniform, got in front of her.
"Boscha," the witch said calmly, "Do you really think it's a good move to mass with the Human Witch Kuuga?
Boscha glared at the witch, but the other three-eye witch didn't back down.
"Move, Tarra," The grudgby player threatened in a low tone, "Or you be on target practice until I graduate."
Tarra still wouldn't move, crossing her arms over her chest. Boscha's anger reached near breaking point, her spell finger twitching alongside her top eye. Her shoulders tensed, and she spread her feet apart as she prepared to attack her junior.
"Everyone settled down," The history teacher commanded as they stepped into the room.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and quickly returned to their seat so the day's lesson could begin. The only one not in their seat was Boscha; she was still glaring at her teammate.
"Boscha," the teacher said, getting the triclops' attention. "Please return to your seat so we can begin."
Boscha glared at the teacher, but they held firm. After a few seconds, she grumbled something under her breath and took her seat.
Once they were sure everyone was seated and ready, the teacher began the day's lesson. "Now, let's continue with our study in the era before the time of Free Magic…"
(Outside Hexside, a few hours later)
Lady Blightthorne stood outside the magic school, keeping enough distance so that she couldn't easily be spotted. In her right hand was an open journal, and to her right was a speed-type Blooburn with the head of a Komodo dragon.
Strangely, the Blooburn's hands were bandaged up to the elbows.
"Hmm, if I am correct, school should be ending soon," the female knight mused to herself.
She watched the school for about 2 minutes, and when she saw no one exiting, she began reciting her journal to pass the time.
"Through pain-staking research, I uncovered many facts about the human witch who calls herself Kuuga. I have isolated three core elements to this mysterious power the human wields: the ability to change her forms makes her a very adaptable combatant."
Lady Blighttorne paused her reading when she heard a noise and looked at the building. She saw that school hadn't let out yet and went back to her notes.
"However, I believe I might have found something that even the witch who wields this power isn't aware of. During fights, I became aware of a build-up of energy in the human witch's body. This energy is generated by taking and dealing damage.
"As I have stated, Kuuga isn't aware of this, not on a conscious level. However, after watching her, I theorized that when this energy reaches a peak, Kuuga becomes instinctively aware of this and decides to use it. It is at this point in the fight that both combatants are at their lowest."
Blightthorne looked up when she heard a scream and saw that school had let out. She looked at her Blooburn and nodded. The Dragon Blooburn returned the gesture, and the female knight opened a portal in front of her monster.
The creature jumped through the portal as its master finished reciting her notes.
"It is at this moment, the deciding factor, that the third core element of Kuuga's powers manifest. Kuuga would use one of her form's finishing techniques to transfer all that stored energy into the opponent she's fighting. The transfer causes this energy to become unstable, resulting in it exploding shortly after transference.
"I have noticed that after the transfer, the Human Witch is weakened to a point of near exhaustion. This state lasts only a few seconds as Kuuga recovers in quick fashion. I theorized that this small window can be used to defeat the human witch. To that end, I resurrected Commander Shadowblood's cross-breading experiments with the goal to defeat the only threat to my Order's conquest of the Isles."
(SC)
"Human!" Boscha demanded, "I want to finish things from early!"
Luz ignored the three-eye witch as she stepped out of the school. Willow and Amity did roll their eyes, but they also ignored the potion witch.
Boscha growled as she realized the human and her looser friends (plus Amity) were ignoring her. She sprinted, jumped onto the railing of the stairs, and slid down to get past the HexGang.
She jumped in front of the group of five and took out a potion. Luz and her friends gave Boscha a dull look as Amity sighed mutely.
"Boscha," Luz slightly groaned, "Can you please let us go? I want to go home and start on my homework."
Boscha didn't move, tossing her potion as a threat. The HexGang wasn't intimated, and Willow and Amity started to make spell circles. The triclops caught her potion and got ready for a fight, smirking.
Luz suddenly gasped, and her friends all looked at her in concern. Boscha cocked an eyebrow at the human's sudden behavior.
"... It's coming," the human witch whispered.
No sooner did those words leave Luz's mouth than a portal opened up above the school. The Dragon Blooburn dropped from the portal and landed five feet in front of the school's stairs.
Everyone stopped dead in their tracks as the creature rose to its full height, searching the crowd. It soon found its target, one Luz Noceda, and roared. The creature charged, knocking everyone out of their stupor.
Thankfully, the HexGang knew what to do and began to act. Luz realized she was the target and ran to her right, hoping to draw the Blooburn away from the more populated area.
"Everyone!" Hunter screamed before panic could ensue. "Scatter! If you're close to the school, return to it! If you're farther down the way, make for the forest! You guys know what we need to do!"
Hunter looked at his friends, and Willow, Amity, and Gus nodded and went to work. Willow and Amity went to the school grounds' limits, preparing spell circles to try and fight the Blooburn in case it decided to attack the students. Meanwhile, Hunter and Gus were shepherding students back into the school, with the former Golden Gaurd keeping his eyes on the beast.
Because of the chaos, no one saw when Boscha used a potion to become transparent so she could watch the fight to come.
Luz stopped at the school's limits and turned to the Blooburn. She thrust her hands to her waist, index fingers, and thumbs connecting.
Luz's Arcle formed with a shimmer, and she moved her left arm above the belt as she angled her right hand with her left shoulder. She moved her arms so her left arm was against her side and her right arm was straight out in front of her.
"Henshin!" she screamed and thrust her right hand into her left one, giving it a slight press.
The stone in Luz's Arcle shined red, and she thrust her arms out. Luz's dubbed Mighty Form materialized around her, forming from the feet and ending at the head.
With her transformation completed, the human witch got into her fighting stance, and the Blooburn roared, charging. It took a wild swing at Luz, and she ducked the blow, delivering a punch to the creature's side as a countermove.
The Dragon Blooburn shrugged off the punch and grabbed Luz by the shoulder. It then kneeled the human in the gut, and Luz grunted. She ignored the pain the best she could and knocked her opponent's arms away, freeing her from its hold.
Luz spun around on her right heel counterclockwise and kicked her opponent in the chest. The Dragon Blooburn stumbled back slightly from the blow. Luz didn't give it time to recover; she jumped into the air. She delivered an overhead strike on her opponent, and the Blooburn fell to the ground with a grunt.
The creature didn't stay down long, rolling to the left and jumping to its feet. Its clawed hands glowed with blue energy, and it clapped. A blue shockwave shot out and struck Luz, sending her flying off her feet as sparks flew off her armor. The human witch hit the ground on her back, and she groaned loudly.
Luz struggled to get back to her feet as the attack knocked the wind out of her. Meanwhile, she could hear the Dragon Blooburn inching closer. It charged up another attack, clapped its hands, and sent a shock wave at near-point-blank range.
Luz saw the attack and rolled to her left, barely missing the hit by a hair. She jumped to her feet and distanced herself from her opponent. The Dragon Blooburn looked at the human witch and charged.
Luz got into her fighting stance as her foe closed the gap. Suddenly, the Blooburn used another soundwave attack, hitting the ground a few inches in front of the human witch. Luz was surprised when the attack rebounded off the ground and got her in the thighs.
The attack lost some power to the rebound, but it was enough to unbalance Luz enough that she couldn't move fast enough and took a punch to the face. Luz hit the ground but recovered quickly, thrusting a kick into the creature's gut.
The Dragon Blooburn grunted as it stumbled back. Luz jumped to her feet and rushed the Blooburn before it could recover. She punched it in the face, then kicked it in the gut. To finish things off, Luz jumped into the air and delivered an overhead club strike.
The Blooburn fell to the ground with a grunt, and Luz got a few feet away from her opponent. Luz held her right hand and her left hand over her belt. She lowered her center of gravity and brought her hands out at her side, the stone on her right anklet flashing.
With a small warcry, Luz ran at the Blooburn, her right foot changing fire. The Dragon Blooburn got to its feet as Luz jumped into the air. She did a quick flip and thrust her right foot out.
Suddenly, The Dragon thrust its arms in front of its face. Its bandages exploded as turtle shell-shaped shields expanded, the upper half of the Blooburn's body. Luz's kick collided with the shield, and the Blooburn pushed her off as the mark of Kuuga appeared on the right shield.
Luz backflipped and landed on her feet, panting as she looked at her opponent. She watched as energy traveled across the shield. The energy nearly reached Blooburn's hand when it suddenly faded.
The Dragon Blooburn lowered its shield and seemed to grin at the human witch. Before Luz could get her second wind, it went on the attack, swinging its left shield in an arc. Luz gasped and tried to dodge, but her movement was sluggish, and the shield clipped the side of her head.
(SC)
"Hmm, it seems I might have made a rare miscalculation," Lady Blightthorne said to herself. "Kuuga has become exhausted from the fight, but her energy hadn't depleted to the levels I had calculated."
Still, the female knight smiled as she watched her Blooburn slam its shields against Kuuga's head. The human witch barely brought her arms up to protect herself. The Dragon Blooburn opened his arms, and Kuuga fell to her knees, slightly dazed. The Dragon used this opening to knee Kuuga in the chin, sending her tumbling to the ground.
Lady Blighttorne's smile slowly slipped from her face as she studied her beast. She noticed a few things about her creature, sighed, and made a spell circle. She tipped the circle against her forehead, and her eyes glowed. The lady knight's vision blurred for a second, and when it came into focus, she looked at her Blooburn.
The Dragon Blooburn's arms showed stress signs on the bones and muscles. Lady Blighttorne could see the trauma slowly working its way up the creature's limb, especially as it took another swing at Kuuga.
Lady Blighttorne canceled her spell and watched the fight unfold as she thought about the experiment that created the improved Dragon Blooburn.
Using the notes left behind by Commander Shadowblood, Lady Blightthorne took apart the Turtle Blooburn and grafted its defense figure onto the Dragon Blooburn. The result was a speed-type Blooburn with high defense and endurance.
The only drawback of this cross-breeding was that the Blooburn's lifespan was only a few days long now. Lady Blighttorne had tried to extend the creature's life, but with Shadowblood's note unfinished, that was impossible.
"Not that the lifespan would be a problem," the lady knight said, grinning egostically.
Lady Blighttorne's grin disappeared as she felt a familiar tingle in the back of her head. She frowned and quickly searched the area. She found her target quickly: a young witch with purple hair.
The female knight narrowed her eyes as she studied the girl. She could see that the young witch looked a little at her and realized this was the witch Braddock told her about. She knew what that meant, and she scowled.
"So he survived the war," Lady Blighttorne said in disdain. "And judging from the feeling I'm getting from her, she's strong. If only she had a twin sibling, I could do something with her."
Lady Blighttorne turned her attention back to the fight and waited eagerly for Kuuga's downfall.
(SC)
Luz wasn't doing good; she was exhausted. Using her kick technique had taken a lot out of her, and she was barely putting up a fight. But the Blooburn wasn't fairing much better; Luz noticed that it was becoming sluggish.
Unfortunately, the creature was in far better shape than she was, and if things continued as such, Luz would lose the fight.
The Dragon Blooburn was looming over Luz, ready to finish her off. Suddenly, a potion hit the creature's right shoulder, shattering the glass on impact. The potion began sizzling upon exposure to the air, but the Blooburn didn't react to the burning sensation. It wiped the potion off its shoulder with a shield and turned around.
Bocsha tossed a sizzle potion as she confidently confronted the creature of unknown magic. "I not afraid of you!" she declared boldly. "If someone like the human can take you, then you can't be all that tough!"
The triclops reeled back her arm and threw her potion with the might of an athlete. The Blooburn watched as the vial soared toward it stoically. It brought up its hands and clapped. The shockwave was twice as strong because of the echo from the Dragon's shields.
The vial shattered as its contents were thrown back at Boscha. The triclops screamed as she dove to the left and hit the ground. She winced as she landed on her stomach rough. The potionist groaned as she tried to get up but stopped when a shadow suddenly loomed over her.
Boscha looked up, feeling her throat drying and a pit forming in her stomach. The dragon Blooburn was right over her, tendrils emerging from its hands.
"NO!" Luz screamed, tackling the creature away from her Classmate.
The witch and Blooburn stumbled into the front of the school, and the creature pushed Luz off it. It tried to punch the human witch in the jaw, but Luz blocked the punch and countered with a punch of her own.
The Dragon Blooburn groaned as it stumbled away from the Human Witch, giving Luz the chance to finish catching her second wind. Luz got into her fight stance and wondered what to do next. She knew that her kick wouldn't be enough to defeat this Blooburn. With how tired she was feeling, she doubted she could change forms and use one to their full power.
In her weakened state, she could only think about using that new technique she and Hunter came up with the other night. But the question remains: Could she pull it off?
"Luz!"
The human witch looked at Hunter. The grimwalker gave her a serious expression, saying that she got this. Luz grinned under her helmet, feeling her confidence soar, and she looked at her foe.
She took her usual finishing move stance but did something different: Instead of thrusting her arms to her side, she crouched and slammed the knuckle of her right hand on the ground. Luz took off running, her feet catching fire like usual.
The human witch jumped, flipped, and thrust her energized foot out. Willow and Gus noticed that the energy surrounding their friend's foot seemed weaker than normal. The blooburn didn't see this and brought its shields.
Luz's kick connected, causing Kuuga's mark to appear on Blooburn's left shield. The force of the impact pushed the Dragon Blooburn back a few inches, and Luz righted herself as she came down to the ground, energy flowing off her mark.
With a cry, the human witch thrust her right fist out, collecting the wayward energy. Luz's punch connected in the same spot her kick did and broke through the shield a second later, connecting with the creature's core.
The Dragon Blooburn screamed as it was sent flying off its feet, the mark of Kuuga appearing on its core. It exploded a second before it hit the ground, letting out one final scream.
Luz held her pose for a second before falling to her knees, changing back to her usual self. She panted as she looked at her hand. It still felt warm from the last attack, which caused her to smile.
"LUZ!"
The human witch weakly looked around and saw her friends running towards her. Amity reached her girlfriend first and hugged her. The rest of the HexGang reached her and began helping to her feet.
The mismatched group didn't see the scowl Boscha was giving them. The Triclops weren't aware of the knight watching the fight from a distance, wearing the same expression as the young witch as she took her leave.

Hunter arrived for his usual training with Luz and wasn't surprised to find the human girl already at work.
The grimwalker watched Luz spin around her training staff for a few seconds before running/jabbing the item into the training dummy. She used her build momentum to carry the dummy a few feet before she stopped and frowned.
Luz shook her head and turned away from the training equipment. She blinked when she saw Hunter watching her and smiled.
"Did I lose track of time again?" the human witch asked casually. "I've been super business thinking up new moves."
Hunter shook his head and replied casually, "No, I'm early." He then turned serious. "Luz, we need to talk."
Luz tilted her head slightly to the right, put her staff into the ground, and leaned against it. "What's up, Sensei?" she asked curiously.
Hunter took a second to collect his thoughts before replying, "Luz, this is the third time we have encountered a Blooburn that was different from anything we came up against. However, watching the fight earlier today, I realized something."
Luz lost her relaxed posture, straightened up, and gave her sensei her full attention. Hunter saw this and continued.
"It seems that creature was designed to fight against you and disrupt the flow of your finishing Technique. And, to make matters worse, it worked."
Luz frowned and looked at her right hand. She wouldn't deny Hunter was right, that Blooburn was made to fight her and knew how to exploit a weakness she wasn't even aware of. If she didn't gamble with that new technique…she didn't want to think what would happen.
The human witch sighed and looked at Hunter. "I get that," she replied somberly, "But what can we do? I've been out here for a while trying to come up with another killer combo, and I got nothing."
Hunter frowned and looked around. For the first time, he noticed the training dummies scattered throughout the yard. His frown deepened when he saw one dummy with deep slash marks on it.
"I see that," the grimwalker commented dryly.
Luz couldn't stop the sheepish smile that crossed her lips as she looked over the training area herself. She then looked back at Hunter, and her expression turned serious.
"So," Luz asked slowly, "What do we do now?"
Hunter smiled in a near brotherly fashion and stepped away from the human witch. Luz watched, surprised when Willow, Amity, and Gus emerged from the shadows, all wearing training outfits.
Hunter exchanged looks with his friends before he looked at Luz with grim seriousness. Next to him, Willow made some sharp thorne vines grow from the ground. Amity summoned an abomination nearly three times the size of the one she used during their dual at the Covention all those years ago. Finally, Gus hid his friends' magic behind an illusion.
"...Now, Human Witch Kuuga," the grimwalker said ominously, "we up your training."
(From the Research Notes of Flora D'Splora)
I was right—I was RIGHT! After more searching, I discovered a part of the moral that confirmed my theories!
The Knights of the Burning Order used some sort of Oracle spell to locate the area where the battle between godly beings would tear a hole between the realms! But, during my research, I came across something else, something that frightens me more than anything else I learned thus far.
Everything is getting harder; my food is at the point where I can't ration it much longer. But I have resolved myself to my fate. I will continue my research in hopes that whoever finds it can use it to fight against this order! But if what I hypothesized is correct, then this could alter the course of witchkind in ways that no one of this era could imagine!

Here's a fun fact: the first Kamen Rider Series I ever watched was Kamen Rider Black, which gave me the idea for this Rider Combo.
Also, the energy Blightthorne was talking about was kinetic energy. Also, her theory was actually a transplant from a Kamen Agito story I never got around to writing. So, why let it go to waste?
