Cursed Chains
Dang, Thank you very much for those awesome replies, fav, and follows. There are several mistakes I made in the previous chapter regarding the Cursed Technique, though I'm honestly a bit confused. It is said that your CT starts ingraining in your brain at the age of 5 or 6 years, but not necessarily awakened. Cause Yuta only awakened it when he was 16(?). Anyway, here's a new chapter. A bit shorter one, with my personal touch of comedy(?). So, yeah please read and let me know your thoughts in reviews.
Chapter 2
Time skip 3 years.
As time went by, Naruto became more adept at using his cursed technique, which he named 'Adamantine chains' with how durable they seem. Of course, he did keep in touch with Utahime- san, she met with him every 3 months, providing the talisman to avoid the curses at his home. He decided that he wanted to become a sorcerer after careful consideration of the pros and cons, of putting his life on the line, but then again he doesn't need to do this for like a lifetime, he could just work for like 10 to 15 years and then retire the Jujutsu world.
In these three years, he managed to improve his cursed technique tremendously. He can conjure up more chains and can also use them underground for some sneak attacks, and he can control the chains outside of his body too, but it requires more of his focus and cursed energy.
During this period, he met Gojo Satoru, the strongest sorcerer who's living right now. He met after a year of meeting with Utahime privately. That guy was a real piece, with the cocky attitude but with the strength that can back it up. He couldn't even pierce the Infinity ability of his while using 9 of his chains. Reason? Cause Gojo has so damn much cursed energy, that he's practically unrivaled in that aspect.
Also, an interesting thing about his cursed technique is as the chains absorb more and more cursed energy, they only get stronger and his cursed energy pool is also increasing. But, it does have its consequences. The cursed energy is manifested through the intense negative emotions of humans. And the cursed spirits are made of said cursed energy and negative emotions. If he absorbs the cursed energy of the cursed spirits, he inherently absorbs the negative emotions of the curse made up of.
That is a huge issue because he doesn't want to get swallowed up by those intense emotions. The only way is that he has to convert that negative cursed energy into positive cursed energy if he wants to absorb it. That is an issue for another date as he doesn't have complete knowledge regarding the positive cursed energy.
The date of joining is also approaching faster. He barely managed to convince Jiraiya to let him join a high school and on his own, otherwise, they were to be moved to a different country where his Godmother lived. Just yesterday, he gave a sendoff to Jiraiya at the airport after so many promises to him and his Godmother.
That is one major thing that got settled for his admission to Jujutsu High. Now, to call the person that is supposed to recommend him.
"Hello, Mochi- senpai, yeah, I want to join, when should I come?"
"Now!" came the voice of Gojo Satoru from behind.
"How the fuck did you get behind me?"
"That's a secret"
"Fucking Stalker" Naruto started walking ignoring the weeping form of the white-haired devil "And what do you mean 'Now'? Isn't there any other process like filling out paperwork etc.?"
"Nah, that can be done later, first you have to meet the principal and get his approval, after that rest of the process can be started."
"Alright, let me get my bag" Within 15 minutes, Naruto was standing before Gojo. "So, where is this place and how are we going there?"
"So, this place is on the outskirts of Tokyo. We have people working under us, who can't use cursed techniques but can see the cursed spirits, those are called windows. They generally do the primary investigations, report making, and driving the sorcerers around, basically background characters" Naruto gave him a look but he ignored it. "Then we have the Auxiliary managers and Assistant Managers, who can use basic techniques but are not sorcerers."
A black car came to pick them up and drove them to the Tokyo Jujutsu High. They were dropped off at the entrance of Mt. Mushiro. They started walking and reached the principal's office. As they entered the office, he saw a big black dude stitching some stuffed dolls. The visual is enough to take away the ability to think for a moment for anyone. When he moved closer, he realized his observations were wrong in assuming the principal's features. 'He's not a Big Black Dude, But a Big Black Dude with Japanese features.'
"Naruto, this is Principal Masamichi Yaga, Sensei, this is Uzumaki Naruto, you know the one I talked to you about." Gojo introduced them to each other.
"I know Satoru, Uzumaki, why do want to become a sorcerer?" While the question was sudden, Naruto anticipated this, it's a basic question that anyone is going to ask when you want to join in something, but the weight this question held is different.
"Well, aside from, having my technique which is said to be a unique one, I wanted to have some sort of satisfaction in my work. If I can save some innocents from those cursed spirits, it's a win in my book. Also, heard that the pay is quite good." He mumbled the last part to himself, but everyone in the room heard it.
"Satoru, show him the dorm rooms. The classes will start from Tomorrow." Naruto grinned and thanked the man he and Gojo started walking to the dorms, and Gojo started talking.
"As you know, only a very small minority of people can actively use their cursed energy, but to have the potential to be a sorcerer is even more rare. Not everyone wants to join the jujutsu side of the world. There are also other legal Jujutsu societies and some illegal societies that want to recruit them. That's why we're always a bit short-handed in this work. So, don't be surprised if you don't have any classmates." Naruto nodded.
"I guess it's going to be quite a bit lonely then."
"Hmm, it is. I at least had classmates, but one betrayed us the other is not allowed on missions as is she the only one who can heal others using the Reversed cursed technique."
"Betrayed? Who? Why? If you don't mind." He asked. Gojo was silent for a minute before started talking.
"It's fine, you're a part of Jujutsu tech especially Tokyo, and it's not exactly forbidden information when the person a had bounty on his head."
"So..who was it?"
"His name is Geto Suguru, the black-haired guy who searched and gave you your bag when we first met."
"That guy, he seemed so nice at that time. Can't believe he betrayed you."
"Yeah, he was a nice person, until he wasn't." Naruto looked at him like some idiot.
"The fuck?"
"Hey. I tried to make it sound more serious." Gojo defended himself.
"That sounds dumb, please tell me why he betrayed you and how he betrayed you."
Sigh "He massacred an entire village."
"What the hell man? Why would he do that?"
"The reasons are unknown till now. You know, we used to be best buddies, the strongest, but after one mission went wrong, we were almost on deathbeds at that time. And after that, I became stronger and stronger, and the gap between us started increasing more and more. I practically became Untouchable. Literally and figuratively." Gojo starts to look into the blank, of course, but you can't tell with how dark his glasses are. Gojo, himself doesn't know why he is speaking out his heart to this kid. But, there's something about him, maybe his technique, he's the only one that has the potential to defeat him. Or, his loneliness, when Naruto said that he was cutting friendships when he was introduced to Jujutsu, he doesn't know, but, he likes his company.
"Oh, when did it happen?" Naruto softly questioned the man.
"Hmm, from a year and a half when we met you for the first time."
"So, does he have any motivation for betraying you?"
"Oh yeah, said something about killing all non-sorcerers and all, also he killed his parents."
"Huh?" There more and more he heard the more and more he realized how senile Geto became. "Sorry if this hurts, but doesn't he sound like an idiot? Like, does he want us to go back into stone age-age by killing all the regular folk, who could be like I don't know probably 99.99 percent of the entire population?"
What started as a chuckle went on into full-blown laughter as Gojo started laughing like a Hyena. Naruto briefly got the doubt whether Gojo was the more senile one, but scratched that thought immediately. 'Gojo won't become insane but makes the people around him go insane... Wait, maybe Gojo was the reason for Geto to go insane? he said that they were best buddies after all. Hmm, I'll have to look into this,'
"It does seem idiotic, doesn't it? But, it's probably because of the negative emotions he's bottling up as he consumed the cursed spirits, his technique is cursed spirit manipulation after all." He looked up in thought, "He was probably going mad and the mission to the village was his last straw." 'It's my fault, I should have been there for him.'
"So, do you know where he could be now?"
"Last I heard, he overtook the Star Religious Group and is maintaining it as a cult, though his exact location is unknown."
"Okay, so what about your other classmate Shoko, why can't she come on a mission with you?"
"Hmm, it's because she has the rare ability of using RCT on others and can heal their injuries, she's very very important in the medical field, so she can't go on missions."
"Oh"
"Anyways, your class starts tomorrow, and after a month or so, you'll be assigned to missions to exorcise some low-level curses accompanied by an Auxiliary manager or Sorcerer. You're staying here for 4 years, which has changed from 5 years previously. I am in the 5th year, though your year doesn't mean much when you're strong yourself. If you increase your level, the more missions you can take and the more experience and money you can get."
The morning came quickly and Naruto was ready to attend his first day of Jujutsu classes, officially at least. He had several questions. What kind of curriculum would he have to go through? Will he have any classmates? What kind of teachers was he going to get? Honestly, he was feeling a bit nervous. As he walked out of his dormitory, he took in the sight of the entirety of Tokyo Jujutsu High School, located on the outskirts of Tokyo in the hills of Mt. Mushiro, operating under the guise of a Buddhist temple. The school grounds include training grounds, courtyards, a dormitory, classrooms, and several other amenities. The entirety of the school grounds is under a protective layer.
"What nice scenery, I hope nothing ruins this big day." He silently wished.
"Yo! My adorable Kouhai" Just like that the devil spawned beside him.
'Dang, here he comes' "Good morning, Mochi- senpai, what's the matter?"
"I called your phone so many times, but you didn't lift it, so I came to see if you're ready or not?"
"No, you didn't call me."
"No, I did, I did, I'm telling the truth" Naruto brought his phone out and showed it to him.
"See, no, you didn't call me" Gojo looked at the phone for a moment and grinned.
"I called you in my dreams."
"What the fuc-" Naruto replied with an angry tick mark on his forehead but was cut off by Gojo.
"Anyways, this is your first day, how are you feeling about it?"
"Eh, a bit nervous, I guess."
"Nervous about? Making friends in your class?"
"Yeah, I guess you can say that."
"Ah, don't worry, you don't have to."
"Why?"
"Because there aren't any first years beside you," Gojo replied cheerfully ignorant of Naruto's downtrodden expression.
"Damn..." Here goes one of his hopes.
So, yeah, Naruto started going to Tokyo, I thought about making Naruto attend Kyoto High, But there's less information regarding Kyoto and its staff compared to Tokyo. I'm not that creative to bring up an entire arc regarding that. Also, you all know how Gojo is. If he wants something, he will make sure he gets that.
