Special Attacks
Yukio's eyes fluttered open, and he found himself in an eerie, silent void. The ground beneath him felt solid, yet there was no discernible texture or color. The space around him was dark, with only a faint, ambient glow illuminating the area.
He stood up slowly, trying to make sense of his surroundings…
And before him loomed an enormous door, towering over him with an imposing presence.
The door was ancient, its surface etched with intricate patterns and symbols that seemed to pulse with a faint, mystical energy. Thick, heavy chains bound the door, crossing over its surface in a crisscross pattern, securing it tightly.
Yukio approached the door, his footsteps echoing in the void. As he got closer, he could feel the weight of the door's power, a sense of foreboding washing over him. He reached out and placed a hand on the cool, metallic surface of the chains, feeling a strange, pulsing energy beneath his fingertips.
"What is this place?" Yukio muttered to himself, his voice sounding small and distant in the vast emptiness. "How did I even end up here?"
But the moment his fingers made contact with the door, a sharp, searing pain shot through his head.
*Flash!*
"Argh!"
Yukio gasped, clutching his temples as the headache intensified.
Flashes of memories, images, and sensations bombarded his mind, overwhelming him. He saw glimpses of battles he had fought, faces of people he cared about, and shadowy figures he couldn't quite make out.
He fell to his knees, breathing heavily as the pain gradually subsided.
The door stood unchanged, its presence still dominating the void. Yukio knew that whatever lay beyond it was crucial, but the very thought of opening it filled him with dread.
Taking a moment to gather his strength, the young man stood up, caution replacing the initial fear in his eyes.
The Ninja Rider glanced around, hoping to find some clue or indication of what he was supposed to do next.
However…
*Bam!* *Bam!*
As he stood there, pondering his situation, the chains suddenly began to rattle and clink, as if responding to his touch.
"What the hell!?"
Yukio took a step back, eyes widening in surprise.
The door seemed to come alive, the runes and symbols glowing brighter, casting an eerie light in the void.
As the black-haired teen steadied himself, he noticed something disturbing. The once silent void was now filled with a faint, rhythmic thumping sound, growing louder and more insistent. His gaze shifted back to the massive, chained door, and his heart skipped a beat.
Behind the door, something was moving. He could see a dark, shadowy figure bashing against the barrier, each impact causing the chains to rattle and the carvings on the door to tremble. The figure was a blur of darkness, an indistinct shape that seemed to pulse and writhe with malevolent energy.
But amidst the swirling blackness, one detail stood out with horrifying clarity: a pair of blood-red eyes. They glowed with an eerie, malevolent light, piercing through the shadows and fixing on Yukio with a chilling intensity. The eyes radiated a hatred and hunger that sent shivers down his spine.
The Rider took an involuntary step back, his breath catching in his throat. The entity's relentless assault on the door grew more frantic, the pounding becoming almost deafening. Despite the chains holding firm, he could sense the door weakening, the ancient seal struggling to contain the dark force within.
"What... What is that?"
Yukio whispered to himself, fear and confusion swirling in his mind.
The entity's eyes narrowed, as if it could hear him, and the intensity of its assault increased.
*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*
The door groaned under the pressure, the carvings glowing faintly as they resisted the dark power. Yukio could feel a connection between himself and the entity, a link that hinted at something deeper and more sinister that he could not fully comprehend yet.
As Yukio stood before the ominous door, the dark entity's assault paused for a moment.
A chilling silence filled the void, broken only by the sound of Yukio's own ragged breathing. Then, a deep, distorted voice echoed from behind the door, sending a shiver down his spine.
"Well, well... how nice it is to finally meet my 'host'. At long last, face to face." the entity said, its voice a twisted amalgamation of tones, making it impossible to discern whether it was male or female.
Yukio's eyes widened, and he instinctively took a step back.
"Who... what are you?" he asked, his voice trembling.
The entity chuckled, a sound that seemed to reverberate through the very air.
"Who am I?" it repeated, the words dripping with a dark amusement. "I am... * #$%¨&+_)(!"
The entity attempted to say its name, but Yukio couldn't make out the words.
They sounded like a garbled mess, as if the very fabric of reality was distorting them. The incomprehensible noise sent waves of pain through Yukio's head, and he clutched his temples, gritting his teeth.
"Ah, it seems the seal is still strong enough to garble my name," the entity observed, a hint of frustration in its voice. "But not for long. The seal is weakening, and soon, I will be able to fully interfere with you, my dear host."
Yukio forced himself to stand tall, pushing through the pain.
"What do you want from me?" he demanded, his voice more steady now, though the fear still lingered.
The entity's red eyes glowed brighter, filled with a malevolent glee.
"What do I want? I want freedom. I want to reclaim what is rightfully mine. And you, Yukio, are the key to that freedom."
Yukio felt a surge of defiance well up within him.
"I won't let you escape. I don't why you are locked, but it sure must be for a good reason."
The entity laughed again, the sound echoing ominously.
"Brave words, little one. But we shall see how long your resolve lasts. My dear boy, you don't even understand how we are having this conversation in the first place, do you? You are but a child, playing with powers you cannot comprehend. The bond between us is growing, and soon, you will understand the true curse that lies within you. Of the sins you have been burdened with."
'Sins?' A confused Yukio thinks.
He could at least tell somehow that the entity wasn't spewing lies or random nonsense to him.
"Until we meet again, Yukio…"
As the entity's words faded, the young man felt the void around him begin to blur and shift. The door, the chains, and the red eyes all started to fade from his view, leaving him once again in darkness.
But this time, he wasn't alone. The entity's presence lingered in his mind, a constant reminder of the threat it posed.
With a final, echoing laugh, the entity's voice faded into the void, leaving Yukio standing alone…
The Rider then felt a wave of exhaustion wash over him, the oppressive atmosphere of the void taking its toll.
His vision blurred, the dark void around him seeming to dissolve into nothingness. Everything around him went blank as Yukio's consciousness slipped away, and he felt himself falling into an abyss of darkness and silence.

NinPow 14: Training Bonds
When Yukio finally awoke, he found himself back in the real world, lying on his bed. His head throbbed, and his body felt heavy as he tried to process what he had just experienced. The vision of the dark entity and the giant chained door lingered in his mind, leaving him with a sense of unease.
"Ugh… Damn, what was that…? A dream...? Or... A nightmare...?" He wondered.
As he groaned and shifted slightly, the door to his room creaked open. Asuka stepped in, her eyes lighting up with relief and delight when she saw him awake.
"Yukio! You're finally awake!" she exclaimed, rushing to his side. "You had us all worried."
Yukio blinked at her, still feeling tired.
"Asuka... What happened? How did I get here?"
"You collapsed after the fight with Daidouji-senpai. We brought you back here to rest," Asuka explained, her voice filled with concern. "Are you feeling alright? You seemed to be having a nightmare."
Yukio rubbed his temples, trying to shake off the remnants of the unsettling vision.
"I... I'm not sure. I don't remember much." He replies, deciding to not tell her about what he experienced.
Later that morning, Yukio and Asuka sat at a small table in the room, having breakfast together. The aroma of miso soup and freshly cooked rice filled the air, providing a comforting and familiar atmosphere.
As they ate, Asuka updated Yukio on everything that had happened while he was unconscious.
"So, after you collapsed, Daidouji-senpai resumed our challenge," Asuka explained between bites. "She wanted to see which one of us would get the scroll."
Yukio nodded, taking in her words.
"That sounds like her. I kind of understand her need to get things done through force."
Asuka smiled.
"Yeah, she's definitely strong. Anyway, we continued our challenge, and in the end, I was the last one standing."
"Did you beat her?" The male teen asks, sounding intrigued.
"Not really. But I managed to impress her well enough that she chose me as the trial's winner."
Yukio's eyes lit up with pride.
"That's amazing, Asuka. Congratulations on winning the special scroll."
"Thanks, Yukio," Asuka replied, her cheeks tinged with a hint of pink. "It wasn't easy, but I managed to pull through. And honestly, I couldn't have done it without your support and that lucky charm you left me."
She then shows the item in question, which she was still carrying around with her.
Yukio shook his head with a roll of his eyes.
"You did it all on your own, Asuka. The charm just helped you realize your own strength. You have always had it within you."
Asuka looked at Yukio with gratitude, feeling her confidence bolstered by his words.
"Thanks, Yukio. Your faith in me means a lot."
Yukio shook his head gently, reaching out to place a hand on hers.
"Asuka, you've been growing stronger ever since our first duel. The charm might have given you a little boost, but it was your determination and skill that won that fight. Geez, for once, you should be more confident in yourself."
Asuka looked down for a moment, her expression thoughtful.
"I guess you're right. I did feel like I understood myself better during my last fights."
"Yup." Yukio said, squeezing her hand reassuringly. "You've got the strength and the heart of a true shinobi. Don't sell yourself short."
Asuka's smile returned, more confident this time.
"Right!"
But as they continued their conversation, Asuka's expression grew more serious. She hesitated for a moment before finally asking,
"Yukio, do you remember anything at all about... delivering a punch to Daidouji-senpai's stomach?"
Yukio looked puzzled, shaking his head slowly.
"No, I don't. The last thing I remember is using my Katon Jutsu attack against her. Everything after that is a blur."
Asuka frowned, trying to process his words.
"I see. Well, you collapsed shortly after. It was a pretty intense fight."
She didn't press any further, but the image of Kamen Rider Shinobi with a red visor, and the dark aura that had surrounded him, stayed with her.
She couldn't shake the feeling of unease…
'What is happening with Yukio?' Asuka pondered, watching him as he continued to eat.
She knew she needed to get to the bottom of this, not just for his sake but for everyone's safety as well.
But for now, she kept her worries to herself, determined to support her friend and help him however she could.
Later…
Hanzo Academy - Training Room
Kiriya and his students were in the training way as the shinobi teacher was giving them rigorous training. They were all currently wearing gym clothes.
Kiriya is seen throwing several kunai at Ikaruga and she manages to deflect most of them with her sword but one gets past her as it stabs into the wall behind her.
"What good is it if you don't deflect all of them?!" Kiriya told her and Ikaruga gritted her teeth.
Katsuragi is surrounded by bladed rolling dummies around her before they begin to spin faster, and the blonde stands on her hands and kicks at the dummies to destroy them.
"You're leaving too much distance!" Kiriya told her.
"Right!" Katsuragi said.
Asuka dodges several incoming projectiles by jumping in the air and grabs onto a wooden pole hanging above and spins on it to dodge more projectiles that were heading towards her. She then jumps on a wall to dodge another group of incoming shurikens as they stab into the wall she was on.
As Asuka fell to the floor, three large shurikens were heading towards him, which surprised her before she tripped the moment her feet touched the ground. The shurikens avoided her as she was lying on the floor.
"Your actions are too repetitive! I can tell what your next move is!" Kiriya told her as he pointed at her.
"H-Hai!" Asuka said as she sat up.
Kiriya throws several kunai at Hibari which frightens the pinkette as she cries out in fear before Yagyu protects her by using her parasol as a shield. It manages to block the kunai as they stab onto it.
"Hey, Yagyu!" Kiriya said.
"I'm the one to blame. Yagyu-chan was…" Hibari tries to say.
"Stop, Hibari." Yagyu told her.
"B-But…" Hibari mutters.
"Yagyu, if you think you're doing Hibari a favor, you're greatly mistaken!" Kiriya tells her, and Yagyu looks down as she knows that he's right.
"..."
And watching from the sidelines was Yukio, his arms folded as he carefully analyzed their training.
"Alright. That's all for today." Kiriya said as he placed a hand on his hip. " You two, however, will stay behind for some supplemental training." He told the pair of first years.
"Eh?" Hibari said in sadness.
*Poof!*
Kiriya then does a hand seal and creates a smoke cloud explosion, which causes the girls in the room to cough as they fan the smoke away.
"Supplemental training? I feel sorry for them." Asuka said.
"Kiriya-sensei has been really strict lately." Katsuragi said.
"Hibari-san is a shinobi. She can't keep on counting on Yagyu-san to cover for her forever." Ikaruga stated as they watch Hibari apologizing to Yagyu for getting them into supplemental training.
While Kiriya was now busy instructing Hibari and Yagyu on supplemental techniques, their faces set with worry as they absorbed his lessons.
In the midst of this, Yukio finally approached Asuka, Ikaruga, and Katsuragi, his expression serious.
"It's my turn to train you now," Yukio announced, his voice carrying a note of authority.
Katsuragi, lounging casually against the wall, glanced up and smirked.
"But our training with Kiriya-sensei is already over for today," she said, her tone almost teasing.
Yukio nodded, unphased.
"I agree. That's why your training lesson with me begins now." He reminds her. "Part of my deal with Hanzo has me having to teach you girls as well."
Asuka's eyes lit up with curiosity.
"What kind of training do you have in mind, Yukio?"
Ikaruga, always composed, merely raised an eyebrow, while Katsuragi seemed less enthused.
"What's the point? We're exhausted," The blonde grumbled, stretching her arms.
Yukio crossed his arms over his chest.
"The point is to push your limits further. Your sensei has laid the foundation. Now it's time to build on it with a different perspective."
Asuka stepped forward, her curiosity outweighing her fatigue.
"I'm ready. What do you have in store for us?"
Yukio nods, apreciating her eagerness.
"Good. We'll start with some advanced techniques, focusing on improvisation and adaptability. In real battles, you can't always rely on standard techniques. You need to be able to think on your feet and adapt quickly. I already have a gist of which points you all need to work on in order to evolve."
Ikaruga nodded, her interest piqued.
"Improvisation and adaptability... I suppose that makes sense."
Katsuragi, on the other hand, still looked unimpressed. She let out a small huff and turned away.
"What's the matter, Katsuragi?" Yukio's voice was teasing, but there was an edge to it. "Afraid you won't be able to handle my special training regimen? I suppose you will never beat Hikage with such an attitude."
Katsuragi's ego bristled at the taunt.
She turned back to face Yukio, her eyes narrowing.
"You think I can't handle it? Bring it on, Yukio. I'll show you what I'm made of."
Yukio actually smirked, knowing he had struck a chord.
"That's the spirit. Let's see if you can keep up."
Asuka and Ikaruga exchanged glances.
Asuka's curiosity turned into determination, while Ikaruga's stoic expression softened slightly. They both knew that if Katsuragi was taking this challenge seriously, it would be a tough but rewarding session.
Kiriya had entered his office via a hidden door on the floor as he was seated in a lotus position. The teacher opened his eyes as he saw Daidoji's cat, which was waiting for him.
"That was some fairly good and spirited training." He heard Daidoji's voice tell him.
"You were watching?" Kiriya asked as he turned to the legendary senpai, who was standing beside him as they looked at each other.
"Those five may all have different attributes, but depending on their training, their talents are outstanding." Daidoji said.
"It's because headquarters worked so hard in recruiting those fine candidates for us. I wondered what would happen without you guys around…" Kiriya said with a smile.
"Those who have the markings of a true shinobi are rare. Without talent… It's out of our hands." Daidoji said, and Kiriya sighed as he rubbed on his head.
"Well, it was awfully hard for us at first." Kiriya said, and Daidoji smiled.
Kiriya then remembers the times his students had joined his class one at a time.
First it was Ikaruga and Katsuragi together, and the two didn't get along at first and Katsuragi, and two formed a one-sided rivalry as Katsuragi tried her best to annoy her but over time and after that one incident the two became good friends.
Then Asuka joined their class, first they were surprised to find out that she was the granddaughter of the legendary shinobi Hanzo. During that time they had high expectations for Asuka, but that quickly changed to disappointment as they saw how clumsy and had a hard time catching up to them during their training, but after seeing the hidden talent she has and seeing the hard worker she is, they became close friends.
Then Hibari and Yagyu join their class.
At first, Asuka enjoyed the thought of being an upperclassman to them. But she then sees Yagyu's extraordinary talents during their training sessions while a little dumbfounded at how Hibari runs away to avoid incoming shurikens. Also in those times, Yagyu would often annoy Ikaruga as she often told her that rank meant nothing to her.
"Even Yagyu, who had been a problem child, appears to be fitting in better with the others lately." Kiriya said as he and Daidoji were in the main as he smiled as he reminisced. "Well, if I'm going to say 'problem child', that could go for all of them. Daidoji, that includes you."
"Hmph." Daidoji said as she smiled as well. "Sensei, you know better than anyone the reason why I haven't graduated yet."
(Flashback)
Daidoji is seen sparring against Rin in the mountains, Daidoji dodges a punch from Rin and kicks at her, but she easily blocks it and pushes Daidoji's leg away before she thrust her hand forward which sends a pulse wave that sends Daidoji flying before she falls to the ground.
Daidoji sits up as she pants as Rin walks to her.
"You still have a way to go, Daidoji-san." Rin told her friend, classmate, and rival.
"I have to at least score one point before you graduate, Rin-senpai." Daidoji told her.
"Well, good luck. I'll be counting on it." Rin told her as she offered her hand.
Daidoji smiles as she grabs onto Rin's hand as they smile at each other.
"I won't be holding back, either." Rin told her.
"Of course!" Daidoji said with a smile.
(End of flashback)
Daidoji frowns as she remembers that memory.
"However, before I could graduate, she…" Daidoji said as she imagined Rin's supposed death.
Kiriya lowered his head as he was sad as well.
"The mission was a difficult one. I was against it." Kiriya said as he remembers the day before Rin's death.
(Flashback)
Kiriya and Rin were seen standing in his office of Hanzo Academy, as Rin was arguing with her teacher.
"Kiriya-sensei, you're the one who said that it was an important mission for the state, right? And that it was something I could take on?" Rin asked.
"But you have just barely graduated. This mission is dangerous." Kiriya told her.
"I'll do it! I'm going to be a super-ninja!" She told him, and Kiriya looked at his prized student in some worry.
(End of flashback)
"At the time... I should have stopped her, even if by force." Kiriya said in sadness in his voice.
"And as a result, my graduation has been postponed indefinitely." Daidoji said in some sadness as well.
"This is no simple struggle with evil ninjas." Kiriya said.
"I will settle this." Daidoji said.
"It's up to me to save her." Kiriya said as he remembers Rin's smiling face.
Daidoji smiles as well.
"My graduation...as well as...the end of my journey may be close at hand." Daidoji said.
However…
Kiriya's eyes suddenly narrowed in concern as he glanced at Daidouji, who stood before him with a different aura around her. The usually composed and powerful upperclassman now had a rare expression of discomfort on her face.
"How is the wound from Yukio's punch?" Kiriya asked, his tone filled with genuine concern.
Daidouji winced slightly at the mention of the punch, instinctively placing a hand on her stomach where she had been struck.
"It's... still there," she admitted reluctantly. "That brat's blow left me with a lingering pain. It flares up from time to time. It's taking longer to heal than I thought."
Kiriya's eyes widened in surprise.
"What? You're saying the wound hasn't healed yet? Even with your resilience?"
Daidouji nodded, her expression a mix of frustration and confusion.
"Yes. I've never experienced anything like it before. It's not just the physical pain; there's something deeper, almost like a dark energy that refuses to dissipate."
Kiriya leaned back in his chair, deep in thought.
"This is troubling. Yukio's transformation and the subsequent attack were unlike anything we've seen. We need to understand what caused this behavior and how it has affected him."
Daidouji's eyes hardened with determination.
"I won't let this stop me from my duties. But we also need to keep a close watch on Kamui Yukio. There's something inside him that poses a serious threat."
Kiriya nodded in agreement.
"We will. In the meantime, focus on your recovery. I'll look into possible explanations and solutions. We can't afford to take this lightly."
As Daidouji and her black cat turned to leave, she winced again, clutching her stomach briefly. Kiriya watched her go, his mind racing with thoughts of Yukio's mysterious power and the potential danger it might represent.
Back at the training room…
Yukio stood before Asuka, Ikaruga, and Katsuragi, his expression serious as he prepared to teach them an advanced concept. The training room was filled with an air of anticipation as the girls waited for their next lesson.
"Alright, then. Do any of you know about Nature Transformation?" Yukio asked, his eyes scanning the faces of the three girls.
"Nature Transformation?" Asuka asks aloud, tilting her head in confusion.
The girls exchanged puzzled glances before shaking their heads. None of them had heard of it before.
Yukio nodded, not surprised by their lack of knowledge.
"I see. Well, Nature Transformation is an advanced form of spiritual energy control. It involves molding and defining the nature of one's aura, altering its properties and characteristics for use in techniques."
He paused to let the information sink in, then continued,
"Nature transformation is one of two necessary components for creating or modifying a technique. The second component is Shape Transformation. While nature transformation changes the properties of one's spiritual essence, shape transformation changes the actual form and movement, altering its abilities."
Yukio began to demonstrate, his aura shifting visibly as he manipulated its nature. The color of the aura changed from red, blue. green and amber.
"The release of elemental spirit energy is typically suffixed with 'Release' (遁, Element + suffix 'Ton'). For example, Fire Release would be 'Katon,' Water Release 'Suiton,' and so on."
He looked at each of them, ensuring they were following.
"By mastering Nature Transformation, you can enhance your techniques and adapt to different combat situations. It's a fundamental skill for any shinobi aiming to reach higher levels of power."
Asuka's eyes widened with understanding.
"So, it's like giving our techniques new properties by changing our aura?"
"Exactly," Yukio confirmed. "For instance, Asuka, if you learn to incorporate Fire Release, you could enhance your blade techniques with flames. Ikaruga, with Wind Release, you could increase the speed and sharpness of your sword strikes. And Katsuragi, with Earth Release, you could add more impact and durability to your physical attacks."
Ikaruga and Katsuragi exchanged glances, their skepticism slowly turning into curiosity. They had always been wary of Yukio, but his knowledge and skills were undeniable.
Katsuragi crossed her arms, her usual confident demeanor slightly softened.
"So, you're saying this Nature Transformation can make our techniques stronger?"
"Yup." Yukio nodded. "By mastering both nature and shape transformation, you can create techniques that are not only powerful but also versatile. It's a fundamental part of becoming a more formidable shinobi."
Ikaruga adjusted her stance, her analytical mind already processing the new information.
"I see. It's a different approach to spiritual energy manipulation. We focus a lot on physical combat and basic techniques, but this could enhance our abilities significantly."
Asuka looked determined.
"I want to learn this, Yukio. Teach us how to perform Nature Transformation."
The Ninja Rider smirked, amused by sensing their eagerness to learn.
But before Yukio could dive into the practical aspects of Nature Transformation, he paused and addressed the girls,
"Good to see you three pumped up. Now, before we start, I need to check your elemental affinities. In general, every person's aura has an affinity towards one of the five basic nature transformations. Sometimes, this affinity can be genetic or common within a particular family."
He pulled out a small stack of thin, white paper from his pocket, explaining,
"This is Litmus Paper. It's made from a special type of tree that is grown and fed with spiritual energy. When exposed to even the slightest hint of a person's aura, it reacts according to the individual's latent element."
The Litmus Paper is another item provided to Yukio by Mr. Chan.
Yukio handed each of them a piece of the Litmus Paper and explained,
"Fire will cause the paper to ignite and turn to ash. Wind will split the paper in two. Lightning will wrinkle the paper. Earth will turn the paper to dirt and make it crumble. Water will make the paper become wet or damp."
He handed a piece of Litmus Paper to Ikaruga first.
"Let's start with you, Ikaruga."
The long black-haired girl took the paper and focused her aura.
Almost immediately, the paper ignited and turned to ash.
"Looks like I'm fire-attuned," she said with a calm nod, a flicker of satisfaction in her eyes.
Next, Yukio gave a piece of paper to Katsuragi.
"Your turn, Katsuragi."
The blond took the paper and, with a smirk, channeled her aura into it. The paper split in two.
"Wind affinity, huh? Not bad," she remarked, clearly pleased with the result.
Finally, Yukio handed a piece of paper to Asuka.
"Alright, Asuka, let's see yours."
Asuka took the paper, focusing intently. To everyone's surprise, the paper first became damp and then split in two.
"Water and wind elements," she said, looking at Yukio with wide eyes. "I have two affinities?"
Yukio nodded, impressed.
"It's rare, but not unheard of. Having dual affinities can be a great advantage, Asuka. It means you have a versatile potential in your techniques."
He stepped back, addressing all three girls.
"Now that we know your elemental affinities, we can proceed with your training. Understanding and mastering your element will be crucial in developing your Nature Transformation techniques."
Ikaruga, Katsuragi, and Asuka looked at Yukio with curiosity and eagerness in their eyes, briefly making him look back at the trio with a raised eyebrow.
"What?"
"What about you, Kamui?" Katsuragi asked. "What are your elemental affinities?"
Yukio hesitated, glancing away.
"It's not important. We're here to focus on your training."
But Asuka stepped closer, her eyes pleading.
"C'mon, Yukio. Please. We're just curious. It's only fair we get to know yours."
Yukio sighed, unable to resist Asuka's earnest look.
"Fine." he conceded, pulling out five pieces of litmus paper. "But remember, this is about your training, not mine."
He focused his aura on the paper.
To the girls' astonishment, the papers reacted in multiple ways: one ignited, the second split, the third wrinkled, the fourth one crumbled, and the last one became damp.
"Y-You have an affinity with all elements?" Ikaruga stammered, eyes wide with shock.
Katsuragi's jaw dropped.
"That's insane! How's that even possible?"
"I thought this would be obvious considering I already have four elemental Ride Shurikens with me." The Rider replies with a shrug. "Huh, I guess I just need lightning to complete the set."
Asuka looked at Yukio with awe.
"Wow. That's really amazing, Yukio." She then blinked before asking. "But why didn't you want to show this to us?"
Yukio rubbed the back of his neck, looking a bit sheepish.
"I didn't want to make you feel bad in comparison. Your progress is what matters here. Each of you has incredible potential, and it's my job to help you unlock it."
The girls exchanged glances, actually appreciating that gesture.
"We understand," Ikaruga said, her tone resolute. "We'll work even harder now."
Katsuragi nodded, pumping up her fists.
"Yeah! You think your display will make me feel bad? Think again!"
Asuka smiled warmly at Yukio.
"Thanks for showing us your affinities, Yukio. We won't forget it."
The young man continued his explanation, his tone patient and instructive.
"Shinobis have an easier time learning to create and control a spiritual nature that matches their affinity, although even then it may take a number of years. Your affinity with an element means your spirit naturally aligns with it, making it easier to learn techniques based on that element."
Ikaruga nodded, her brow furrowed in concentration.
"So, because I have a fire affinity, I'll have an easier time with fire techniques?"
"Exactly," Yukio confirmed. "But remember, you're not limited to just your natural affinity. Advanced ninjas often master at least two natures. It's challenging but not impossible."
Katsuragi crossed her arms, thinking deeply.
"But you said it's rare to use other elements as efficiently as our own affinity, right? Why is that?"
Yukio nodded.
"Yes, because your spirit is naturally less inclined to those elements. It requires much more training and effort to achieve the same level of efficiency and potency. Mastering all five natures is technically possible, but extremely rare because of this natural inclination."
Asuka looked thoughtful.
"So, even though I have both water and wind affinities, I should focus on those but still try to learn other elements?"
"Sure, if you're up to the challenge." Yukio said. "Your dual affinity is a great advantage. Focus on mastering those elements first, but don't limit yourself. With hard work and dedication, you can expand your abilities beyond your natural affinities."
Katsuragi glanced at Yukio, disbelief in her eyes.
"And yet you have a natural affinity with all five elements... No offense, but that's some serious unfair cheat code bullshit."
Yukio shrugged, totally unbothered.
"None taken. It still takes a lot of training and effort for even me to completely master all elements. But each of you has incredible potential as well. With time and perseverance, you can achieve great things."
Katsuragi smirked, her competitive spirit ignited.
"Alright then, let's get started! I want to see what I can really do with my wind affinity!"
Asuka and Ikaruga nodded in agreement, their determination clear.
"We'll give it our all, Yukio!" Asuka said, her eyes shining with resolve.
In the training room of Hanzo Academy, Yukio stood before Asuka and Ikaruga, the air thick with anticipation as he prepared to give them lessons in advanced sword styles.
"Alright, let's get started," Yukio said, addressing both of them. "Since your fighting styles rely heavily on your blades, it's crucial you learn some sword techniques that complement your current abilities."
Ikaruga frowned, recalling the recent events.
"I remember how you defeated me. You said I rely heavily on my Hien, and if someone disarms me, I'd be completely useless."
Yukio nodded, acknowledging her concern.
"That's right. Glad you still remember my lesson. That's why it's important to expand your skills beyond just your signature moves. I have learned 7 special sword styles from my master. And I plan to teach two of them today, each style for one of you."
He turned to Ikaruga first.
"For you, we'll focus on the second one - the Makashi Style, also known as the Contention Form. It's designed for saber-to-saber combat and emphasizes precision and efficiency. It's perfect for someone who needs to defend against an opponent with minimal effort."
Ikaruga listened attentively.
"I see. So, it's more about balance and footwork rather than brute strength?"
"Precisely," Yukio confirmed. "Makashi is elegant and relies on fluidity and economy of motion. It's particularly effective in duels where you need to outmaneuver a single opponent."
He then shifted his attention to Asuka.
"As for you, we'll be focusing on Form V, which includes the disciplines of Shien and Djem So, Asuka. This form is known as The Way of the Wayforward Dragon or The Perseverance form. It's designed for aggressive, forward-moving combat."
Asuka's eyes lit up with interest.
"And what's the difference between Shien and Djem So?"
"Good question," Yukio replied. "Shien is more about blocking multiple attacks and using agility to your advantage. It's great for returning enemy attacks to their origin and outpacing them. This is the style I will teach you, Asuka. On the other hand, Djem So, which I specialize in, is more suited for blade-to-blade combat and emphasizes immediate counterattacks."
Ikaruga raised an eyebrow.
"So, Shien is more defensive, while Djem So is aggressive?"
"Exactly," Yukio said. "Both forms are designed to use an opponent's attacks against them. Shien is about creating openings through defense, while Djem So focuses on dominating the opponent through power and aggression."
Asuka grinned, eager to get started.
"Sounds exciting. I'm ready to learn Shien!"
Yukio actually smirked, appreciating her enthusiasm.
"Good. Both of these styles will enhance your combat abilities significantly. Remember, it's not just about learning the moves, but also about integrating them into your existing skills."
Asuka and Ikaruga exchanged determined looks, ready to embrace the new challenges ahead.
Yukio led Ikaruga to a corner of the training room, leaving Asuka to practice her new sword style with some training dummies. The room's noise faded slightly as they moved away from the main training area.
"Ikaruga," Yukio began, his tone calm but firm, "since we'll be working together more closely, we need to come to an understanding. It's important that we can fight alongside each other effectively."
Ikaruga nodded, her expression serious.
"I suppose we can agree on that. And while I finally acknowledge you as someone more experienced than me, I still don't like your attitude. It's... abrasive."
Yukio chuckled softly, not taking offense, as he adopts a sardonic smile.
"I won't argue with that. I'm the worst when it comes to socializing. I know my attitude can be difficult to deal with."
Ikaruga raised an eyebrow, surprised by his candidness.
"Then why did you decide to have this talk? Was it because Asuka asked you to try getting along with us?"
None of the other girls in the Hanzo Squad missed how Asuka and Kamui started to develop an 'interesting' friendship ever since they were both rescued from Yami Shibai.
But Yukio shook his head.
"No, Asuka didn't ask me to do this. This was my own decision. I realized that for us to succeed as a team, we need to understand each other better." He explains, his expression softening as his eyes landed on Asuka. "I suppose making Asuka happy is just a bonus."
Ikaruga's expression softened slightly.
"I see. Well, I appreciate the effort. I want to become stronger, and I know that means learning from you. But that doesn't mean I have to like you."
Yukio smiled faintly.
"That's fair. We don't have to be friends, but we do need to be effective partners in battle. Let's focus on that."
Yukio leaned against the wall, his expression softening slightly as he looked at Ikaruga. "How's your brother Murasame doing?" he asked. "Have you spoken to him since that time he tried to steal Hien from you?"
Ikaruga stiffened at the mention of her brother, a reminder of Yukio's extensive knowledge about the Hanzo Squad.
She took a deep breath before responding.
"We talked a few days after the incident. Things are still... complicated between us. But there might be hope. He's now fully focusing on the family's non-shinobi related businesses."
Yukio nodded, giving her a look of understanding.
"That's good to hear. I hope the two of you can get along. It's important for siblings to be there for each other, even if you're step-siblings."
Ikaruga stared at Yukio, a new curiosity in her eyes.
"What would you understand about siblings?" she began, but before she could continue, Yukio started speaking.
"I'm actually an older brother," he said, a hint of a smile crossing his lips. "I have a little sister who's back at our hometown with my parents."
Ikaruga's eyebrows raised in surprise. Yukio rarely spoke about his personal life.
"My sister has no idea that ninjas are real," Yukio continued, looking at his hands and imagining them bloodied. "And I hope she never finds out. As far as she knows, I received a special scholarship to enroll at Hanzo National Academy. She was really upset when I suddenly left without an explanation. I had to become a shinobi, but I don't want her to ever find out what I do as a Kamen Rider. I'd be horrified if she tried to become a shinobi herself."
As Ikaruga processed this revelation, she saw now Yukio in a different light.
And there was a small bit of jealousy within her...
Despite knowing little about Yukio's private life, she could sense the deep bond he shared with his sister. It was clear from the way he spoke about her that they cared deeply for each other.
She wondered if she would ever have such a relationship with Murasame. Though she sometimes viewed herself in a self-deprecating way due to being adopted mainly for her potential as a kunoichi, she realized Yukio also had a rough past.
The long black-haired girl suddenly remembered Asuka telling their group about the injuries Yukio sustained across his torso, possibly from the Serpent Tragedy.
Asuka had also mentioned that Yukio sometimes took painkillers, sleeping pills, and possibly even antidepressants.
And this led Ikaruga to conclude that, despite his outward appearance, Yukio must be still dealing with PTSD.
"You know," Ikaruga began softly, looking down. "I always saw you as someone who had it all together. But hearing this... It makes me see that you're not so different from the rest of us."
Yukio looked at her, but it was something she found so strange to see in him.
His eyes showed pure exhaustion and pain…
Long gone was the aloof attitude he usually portrays himself with.
"We're all carrying our burdens, Ikaruga. Some are just better at hiding them than others."
Ikaruga nodded, feeling a newfound respect for Yukio.
"Thank you for sharing that with me. I think... I understand you a little better now."
Yukio smiled faintly.
"I suppose it's fair to share a bit about myself. We don't have to be friends, but we do need to be effective partners in battle. Let's focus on that."
Ikaruga nodded in agreement.
"I suppose so. As long as we can work together and support the rest of the team, that's what matters."
Yukio extended his hand, offering a truce.
"Then let's do our best to understand each other and become a better team."
Ikaruga hesitated for a moment before taking his hand.
"Very well. Let's make sure we can rely on each other in battle."
They shook hands, and a silent pact formed between them. As they returned to the main training area, there was a sense of mutual respect that hadn't been there before.
'Yukio… Ikaruga-san…'
Asuka noticed the change in their demeanor and smiled, feeling hopeful about the future of their team. She returned to her training with renewed vigor, determined to master her new sword style and become stronger alongside her friends.
With that, they returned to their training, the bond between them a little stronger, and the path to understanding each other a bit clearer.
Yukio shifted his focus to Katsuragi, who stood with her arms crossed, watching as Ikaruga and Asuka sparred with their new sword styles.
"Alright, Katsuragi," Yukio began, "let's work on your kick attacks."
Katsuragi raised an eyebrow.
"What do you have in mind?"
"I want to see if you're willing to learn a variation of some of my Rider Kick Jutsus that would fit your fighting style. I know you rely heavily on your kicks, and I believe we can refine that further," Yukio explained.
Katsuragi's initial skepticism was evident, but she nodded.
"Fine. But let's see if your techniques are really as good as you claim."
Yukio smirked.
"I wouldn't expect anything less."
They began with a series of warm-up exercises, focusing on flexibility and strength. Yukio demonstrated a few advanced kicks, each with precise control and lethal intent. Katsuragi mirrored his movements, her kicks powerful and swift.
Their kicks clashed mid-air, the force of their strikes causing a shockwave.
And Katsuragi actually grinned, impressed despite herself.
"Okay, I'll admit it. You have better techniques when it comes to using legs as lethal weapons."
Yukio nodded, acknowledging her compliment.
"You have raw power, Katsuragi. If we can channel that with precision, you'll be unstoppable."
Determined to prove herself, Katsuragi threw herself into the training with renewed vigor. Yukio guided her through a series of advanced Jutsus, each one tailored to enhance her natural abilities. They worked on variations of his techniques, adapting them to suit her style.
As they trained, Katsuragi's initial reluctance faded. She could see the benefits of Yukio's guidance and was willing to push herself to her limits.
"Alright, Kamui. I'll learn from you. But don't go easy on me. I can handle whatever harsh training you have in mind."
Yukio nodded, a rare glint of approval in his eyes.
"I wouldn't dream of it."
The two continued their intense training, their kicks clashing and merging into a seamless dance of power and precision.
As they finished their session, the blonde was breathing heavily but with a sense of accomplishment.
"Not bad, Katsuragi," Yukio said, a rare smile on his face. "You're getting stronger."
Katsuragi smirked, wiping sweat from her brow.
"Thanks. But don't think this means I like you any better. I still think you're an asshole."
"Meh. Fair enough."
Yukio gestured for Katsuragi to follow him to a quiet corner of the training room.
The girl, still catching her breath, raised an eyebrow but complied.
"What's up?" she asked, crossing her arms.
Yukio leaned against the wall, his expression serious.
"I wanted to have a word with you, like I did with Ikaruga. If we're going to work together, we need to come to an understanding and sort things out between us."
Katsuragi scoffed.
"Is this about team bonding or something? Because I'm not really into that touchy-feely stuff with you of all people."
Yukio shook his head.
"No, it's not about that. It's about making sure we can fight alongside each other effectively. I know you don't like me, and I'm not here to change that. But we need to respect each other's abilities and work as a team."
Katsuragi studied him for a moment, her expression thoughtful as she sighs in understanding.
"Fair enough. I admit, you've got skills. But I still don't like how you act so 'superior' all the time, Mr. Hotshot."
Now Yukio sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Look, I get that I'm not the best person here at socializing. My focus has always been on becoming stronger to defeat the Serpent Society. That's why I have been pushing myself so hard these last years."
Katsuragi's gaze softened slightly, though she tried to hide it.
"Yeah, well, it's not like we're all here just to be the best. Some of us want to protect people too, you know."
Yukio nodded.
"I get that. And I respect it. Look, I also wanted to have this talk because of Asuka. I know she's important to you and the rest of your little group. I want to make sure I'm not causing any unnecessary tension."
Katsuragi raised an eyebrow.
"Did Asuka put you up to this?"
Yukio shook his head.
"No, this is my own initiative. But I can't deny that making her happy is just a bonus. Guess I just realized that if we're going to face stronger enemies, we need to be united."
Katsuragi's expression softened further.
"Alright, Kamui. I can see where you're coming from. I'll give this teamwork thing with you a shot. But don't think for a second that I'm going easy on you."
Yukio smirked faintly.
"I wouldn't dream of it."
The Ninja Rider turned to Katsuragi, a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Katsuragi, can I ask you something personal?"
Katsuragi raised an eyebrow, wary but intrigued.
"Depends on what it is."
"How much do you miss your parents?"
Yukio's tone was gentle, understanding the sensitivity of the topic.
Katsuragi's expression darkened, a mixture of sadness and anger flashing in her eyes.
"Why do you care? You've read my background. You know what happened."
Yukio nodded.
"I do, but hearing it from you is different. I want to understand what drives you. What made you want to be a kunoichi?"
Katsuragi sighed, her shoulders slumping slightly.
"When I was little, I had a normal life. My parents were shinobi, always out on missions. But one day, they failed a mission and were told to give up their lives. To protect me, they became renegades and abandoned me. I've spent my life trying to atone for their 'crimes' and hoping to reunite with them someday. That's why I became a shinobi."
Yukio listened intently, his expression somber.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that. I can't imagine how hard it must be."
Katsuragi looked at him, a hint of bitterness in her eyes.
"You can't understand that kind of pain, Kamui. Do you even know what it's like to miss your parents like that!?"
Yukio's gaze softened, looking downcast.
"My situation isn't the same, but I do miss my parents as well. They were against me becoming a shinobi in the first place. After all, they are normal people. They wanted me to stay safe, away from the dangers of this life. But I defied them. I left to train and fight the Serpent Society, knowing I might never see them again until this is all over."
Katsuragi's eyes widened slightly, her anger giving way to a flicker of understanding.
"So, you went against your parents' wishes too?"
Yukio nodded.
"Yes. They don't know the full extent of what I've been through, and I don't want them to. I want to protect them from that pain. But I still miss them every day. I want to go back to them once this is all over."
Katsuragi was silent for a moment, processing Yukio's words...
She remembered Asuka telling her about Yukio's personal struggles, about the injuries he sustained and the trauma he endured. Slowly, her anger diminished, replaced by a sense of kinship.
"I guess we both have our reasons for doing this," Katsuragi finally said, her tone softer. "I never thought about it like that."
Yukio smiled faintly.
"We all have our burdens to bear. But knowing that we have people waiting for us, people we want to protect, gives us strength. I hope you get to reunite with your parents someday, Katsuragi."
Katsuragi looked at him, a small smile forming on her lips.
"Thanks, Kamui. I hope you get to see your parents too."
They stood there for a moment, a newfound understanding and respect forming between them. Despite their differences, they shared a common goal and a deep-seated desire to protect those they loved.
And in that, they found common ground.
Katsuragi then decided to take a risk.
"So, Kamui, do you like Asuka?"
Yukio blinked, caught off guard by the blunt question.
"Of course, I like her. She's my friend."
Katsuragi raised an eyebrow, a knowing smirk playing on her lips.
"Come on, man. You know what I mean. Do you like her?"
Yukio's face sports an unsure look, and he shook his head.
"C'mon, it's not like that. I see her as a friend, an ally to maybe watch my back."
Katsuragi rolled her eyes.
"You're either lying or too dense to see it. Do I have to spell it out? Do you love her?"
Yukio's eyes widened, and he vehemently shook his head.
"No, it's not like that!"
But Katsuragi wasn't convinced.
"Everyone else in the group seems to notice that there's something special going on between you two. You two are the only ones who don't realize it."
Yukio opened his mouth to protest, but Katsuragi continued.
"Asuka talks about you a lot, you know? She sees you as a role model, someone to help her become a better ninja. She holds you in high regard. And the way you helped her when you were trapped within Yami Shibai? That meant a lot to her."
Unconsciously, Yukio couldn't help but be happy upon hearing such words.
"I just did what anyone would do."
Katsuragi smirked, still unamused with his default response.
"And then there's the lucky charm you gave her. Do you know how much that convinced us even more?"
Yukio looked away, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and uncertainty.
"I... I just wanted to help her feel confident."
Katsuragi's expression softened slightly.
"Look, Kamui. I'm not gonna judge you about this. Asuka obviously thinks highly of you. She cares a lot about you. I actually thought you would be happier about this. And not depressed. Geez, what's wrong with you now?"
Yukio's shoulders slumped.
"It's not like that." He tries to explain. "Because of my past, and my lack of proper social skills, I don't think I deserve someone like Asuka. She's a kind, pure-hearted girl. She was the first person who befriended me when I enrolled at Hanzo National Academy. She has a special place in my heart because of that. But me? I don't think I even have a chance of romance at all in my life. I'm just a messed-up, defective product."
Katsuragi sighed, realizing her teasing had only made things worse. She softened her tone, unsure how to cheer him up.
Meanwhile…
In their supplemental training, Hibari and Yagyu were seen climbing up a rope hanging on top of a mountain before they stopped in mid way as Hibari spoke to her fellow first year and friend.
"Yagyu-chan, I'm sorry. This is my fault again." Hibari told her.
"I should be apologizing." Yagyu stated.
"Huh?" Hibari said in confusion.
Yagyu then remembers both Kiriya's words to her.
"Yagyu, if you think you're doing Hibari a favor, you're greatly mistaken!"
"Yagyu-chan…" Hibari mutters.
"I'm done. I'm leaving now." Yagyu said as she slid down the rope.
"Huh? Ah, mm-hmm." Hibari said as she watched her leave.
In Hebijo Academy, Suzune is seen kneeling in front of Dogen as they spoke to each other.
"So, you ignored me, the commander, and gave instructions to Haruka?" Suzune asked.
"Seizing the good ninjas' Super-Secret Ninja Art Scroll is the most crucial mission." Dogen told her.
"The super-secret ninja art scroll is meaningless without its chosen one, so we allow a Hanzo Academy student to develop as the chosen one, and thereafter, we turn them to our side. That is the best strategy." Suzune told him.
"We could always train a chosen one ourselves, after we've taken it." Dogen told her.
"The chosen one for our own scroll has yet to come forward?" Suzune asked.
"I want results. Something tangible. Besides...it's already too late." Dogen told her.
Suzune's eyes widened in shock, the implications of Dogen's words sinking in. Without another word, she rose and left the room in a rush.
As the door closed behind her, Majin Karasu materialized from the shadows behind Dogen's seat, stepping forward to stand beside him.
"I hope you honor our deal," Karasu said, his voice dripping with malevolence.
Dogen's grin widened.
"Of course, so long as you keep your word."
The two shook hands, sealing their sinister mysterious pact, their sudden alliance now solidified.
The air in the room seemed to grow colder as their malevolent intent hung thick, casting an ominous shadow over the future of both Hebijo and Hanzo Academies.
Haruka wearing her Shinobi Uniform is seen sitting on the tower of Asakusa, as she is smiling as she begins the preparations of the plan.
After finishing the supplemental training, Hibari is seen in the shower room as she was taking off her clothes.
Hibari then heard a rolling sound below her, she looked down and saw that it was an earring.
"That's…" Hibari said as she remembered that was Haruka's earring that she gave her after Hibari begged the evil ninja to not hurt Yagyu. "I thought I left that on my desk."
Hibari picks it up and places it on her clothes that were inside of a basket.
The girl was now taking a shower to wash off the sweat on her body. As she was taking a shower, the pinkette was in deep thought.
'Yagyu-chan seemed like she was angry. I got her in trouble again. Of course she'd be angry. I wonder if I'll always be dragging behind like this.' Hibari thought before she shed a tear and soon wiped it away.
The earring in the basket begins to light up, and Hibari soon hears a familiar voice.
"It's time for me to ask a favor of you. Is that alright, my dear little puppet?"
Hibari's eyes widened to hear that voice and her pupils shrunk. Her eyes became dull and void of light.
In her daze, the girl merely nodded in acknowledgment…
The final scene of the chapter shows Kamen Rider Shinobi's Tsuchi Ride Shuriken and Asuka's Omamori lucky charm and newly obtained scroll, side by side, while the Twilight Scroll and the Shinobi Saber glow strongly behind these items.

Author Notes:
Thank you for reading!
This chapter was mostly done for the sake of some character development between Yukio/Kamen Rider Shinobi and the Hanzo Squad Girls, mainly Ikaruga and Katsuragi.
I took some inspiration from Naruto during the explanation of Nature Transformation and the idea of natural affinity with one of the five natural elements(water, earth, fire, air and thunder).
I also took some inspiration from Star Wars to name the sword styles that Asuka and Ikaruga are learning from Yukio.

While I won't use Pikachu, I was thinking about maybe using another Pokémon since I'm already using Gekkouga(Greninja's Japanese name) for the water element and Tornadus, in his Therian Forme, for wind. Maybe I will have Raikou for thunder? And while the fire spirit is based on Yokai Watch's Shurakoma (Shadowside form), his name Hinoarashi is actually Cyndaquil's Japanese one. Funny how I got a lot of inspiration from Pokémon for the spirits.
So, what do you guys think? Please give me some reviews if possible.
