"Can you hear me, my boy?" An old gruff voice was distant, but he could hear it.

'That voice...' He stirred, sniffing the air.

He smelt of sweat and uneasiness. More than one person.

Hmph.

"Natsu, my boy, hear my voice!" Scruff noises were coming from behind him.

'Natsu..?'

"Natsu where are you?" This time a different voice had shouted the unusual name again. Except it came from upwards, on the level above.

'Why haven't they been stopped already?'

"There you are."

He looked up and saw a figure outside his cell. He was right, not just one. But six. And a fur animal with wings. How strange.

"Why didn't you answer us? It would've been easier-" The raven-haired man was hit by a girl much taller and full of armor wear.

"Argh!"

"Shut up Gray. You have no right to judge him right now."

'Her hair is red..'

"Now.." The red-haired woman turned back towards him, her armor clinking. She took out a sword from behind her and slashed the gate open. "To get you home." She said with a warm smile, but her eyes glinted of regret and sadness.

Walking up to him, she bent down and extended her hand. "We found you, Natsu."

'She's wrong.'
