Kakashi shuddered as the cold water dripped off of his hair and front. He slowly turned his head to see Tsuyoi holding a bucket. Kakashi only assumed that's where the water came from. "W-why?"
"You were fooling everyone but me with that fake hair color. Now, why are you impersonating our family with that hair color?" Tsuyoi asked accusingly. Kakashi dropped his head in depression.
"This is your true color?" the queen asked.
"Yes," Kakashi murmured not lifting his head. The king and queen looked at each other. "In all honesty your majesties I have been here before but I have no memory of ever being here so, I guess I should have said this sooner."
"Who told you you've been here before but you have no memory of it?" Tsuyoi asked angrily. Kakashi stared at the floor. "Well, who-"
"It was Itachi. He may be your enemy but he was my lover and now he's gone because of this war," Kakashi said coldly still looking at the floor. The king looked at his wife then Kakashi.
"We never meant for anyone to loose their lover because of a war. But why did he come here and not take you with him?" Utsukushi asked from a doorway. Kakashi shook his head as she walked over. She knelt in front of Kakashi and pulled his face up to look at hers. She looked at his eyes and frowned. She carefully ran her thumb over the scar on his left eye. "Why does it seem like one of your eyes is fathomless while the other shows your sadness?"
"Well, I was in the army in the normal world and I got injured and now so people can't tell I have a fake eye," Kakashi explained rubbing the back of his neck. The queen wrenched his head to the side and examined his eye closely.
"Oh, this could be easily fixed by Tsunade-sama. She could make it real and you'd have your eye back. Tsuyoi, go find Lady Tsunade please," the queen said smiling. Tsuyoi followed orders and left immediately. Kakashi watched as the man left glaring at him. Kakashi turned back to the queen.
"Your majesty, who is Lady Tsunade? I've only heard that name and that she can heal my eyes and memory," Kakashi said confused. The queen's face lit up and she smiled. "Your majesty?"
"Lady Tsunade is the mother of the queen from a neutral kingdom. She has strong healing magic. Unlike ours, which is mainly to fight except Utsukushi. She's naturally gifted but still is not suited to fight. She is very kind," The queen said smiling. Kakashi frowned as he thought of how "gently" he was brought to the castle. They looked up as the prince came in and a strange woman followed. She looked around and came straight to Kakashi. His eyes widened and he tried to scoot away only to be stopped by a wall. "This is Lady Tsunade. Lady Tsunade this man is Kakashi. But we're not sure if he's our Kakashi."
"Because of his memory right?" Tusnade said pulling Kakashi to his feet. She looked up at him then frowned. She grabbed his chin and pulled him down to look her in the eyes. Kakashi frowned as she turned his head side to side. "Mmmmhhhmmmm, well, I can do the healing spells now and be done with it, but he might be asleep for a day or two. So what's the decision?"
"Well, now. The spells will be done now even if I do end up sleeping," Kakashi said nodding. Tsunade smiled and poked Kakashi. He looked at her confused as he swayed then fell to the ground landing on his ass. The king, queen, and Utsukushi rushed forward as Kakashi started to hyperventilate. He fell onto his back, his heart racing as memories flooded his mind. Everything was spinning. Then it stopped. He looked at the people above him and smiled as tears formed in the corners of his eyes. He reached up and pulled the three into a hug. Utsukushi hugged him tightly as his parents burst into tears. Tsuyoi walked over glaring at them. Kakashi let the others go and stood up bowing. "Tsuyoi, I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused. Please forgive me."
"Of course little brother," Tsuyoi said hugging Kakashi. He let go and held him at arms length. "About your lover, is it true you've fallen in love with him?"
"Yes, but that is of no matter seeing as I'm home now," Kakashi answered smiling. Tsunade snorted and looked at them. "What is it?"
"You know they're feelings are strong for each other. Besides now the war can be called off and you can form an alliance. So everything can be at peace again," Tsunade said smiling. "Well that'll work won't it?"
"Absolutely not! My brother shall not have that man as his lover alliance or not!" Tsuyoi yelled. Kakashi immediately paled and put his hands on his brother's shoulders causing him to turn around. He looked at his brother sadly. "What is it?"
"It's just that I'm happy you're concerned for me, but don't worry. I will forget these feelings over time. But why do you oppose it so?" Kakashi asked letting go of Tsuyoi. He smiled.
"That man, claimed to love you at first sight, but I overheard his father saying that it was all part of a plan to overtake our country. There fore I do not know if it was true. Otherwise I would not care who you chose," Tsuyoi said sadly. Kakashi nodded. He rubbed his neck nervously as his stomach growled. They headed to the dinning room for lunch. Everyone in the castle rejoiced as the news of the returned prince spread. Later Kakashi and Utsukushi walked around the castle sharing stories of their lives.
"Come with me, I want to ride with you," Utsukushi said pulling him to the stable. She smiled at his amused expression. "Now you remember that we used to ride all the time together."
"Yes, but you were always in front of me on my horse," Kakashi said smiling. She smiled widely at him then walked over to two horses. One was beautiful buckskin peering over the door at them. The other was a blue roan with silver dapples on her back. Kakashi walked over to her petting her face. He stroked her face and smiled as she rubbed her head against him. "I'v missed you too, Cevy."
"She's missed you greatly. But now she's overjoyed. Let's ride," Utsukushi said taking out the buckskin male. Kakashi nodded. They both hopped onto their horses bareback and raced to the old pond. Kakashi smiled as he looked at it. He found four small, flat, and round stones. He gave two to his sister and they skipped them across the small body of water. After hours of skipping and story telling Kakashi got up to get Cevy. He froze as two people started to come near. He pulled his sister into the tall grass by the water. They held their breaths as they heard voices.
"Itachi, come on, we need to go now," Kakashi recognized the voice of Sasuke.
"Yes, yes, alright," Itachi answered. Kakashi felt his gut twist in sadness. He waited as the footsteps led away. Then he stood up and looked around. No one was in sight. He nodded and looked down at his sister.
"Utsu, stay here until I or someone else comes for you. Understood?" Kakashi asked. She nodded hesitantly as he whistled and Cevy came trotting over. He hopped on her and rode back to the castle. He screamed as an arrow tore through his right shoulder. He fell off of his horse and looked around. It was a surprise attack.
