Tada! The new chapter is up. I'm so, so sorry for taking so long. School work has taken the majority of my time. So hope you all enjoy. I own nothing but the plot. Have fun! Read and Review.
Kakashi sat looking dumbly at Kakuzu. As the sentence ran through his mind. He glared up at Kakuzu angrily as he listen to the statement go through his
head over and over again. "What did you mean, that I pledged myself to you? I think I'd remember doing that."
"Unless your family tampered with your memories," Kakuzu growled. He looked sadly at Kakashi and shook his head. "Hold still."
"Why?" Kakashi asked as he started to move. He was held in place by Kakuzu's strong arms. He gasped as he felt Kakuzu's hot breath on his neck. "No, no,
no please don't. Kakuzu please, I'm begging you don't."
"Sorry, but this is for us," Kakuzu replied biting Kakashi's neck. The slight man felt tears fall down his cheeks as pain filled his body and spread. A loud scream escaped the prince as his head exploded in pain. Memories flooded into his mind. Memories of an older boy with dark hair, tanned skin, and green eyes with no irises were in his mind.
Small pale hands reached out to grasp the larger tan ones. They swung back and forth repeatedly before they stopped. The pale boy looked at the tanned boy and smiled.
"Kaku, when we get big will we ever see each other again?" the small pale boy asked. The tanned boy looked up sadly.
"I don't think so Ashi," Kakuzu answered. He smiled as he looked up. The pale boy had tears streaming down his face. "Ashi, don't worry, we'll see each other when we're older. I know it."
"Then when we do meet again I will be big and strong. Kaku, I want to marry you when I'm big. Can I?" Kakashi asked smiling sadly. The tan boy looked at
him curiously then nodded. "Good. Then I'll marry you and no one else when I grow up."
"Ashi, thank you," Kakuzu responded. He frowned as Kakashi's brother called signaling their leave. "Bye Ashi."
"Bye Kaku," Kakashi replied. He shyly leaned forward and kissed the other on the cheek.
"Oh my god," Kakashi gasped as he looked at Kakuzu in surprise. He shook his head in astonishment. "No, no, no, I never meant that. I never thought you'd
think I meant in. I was only saying that to make you happy. I was just a child."
"So, you were lying to me about that. Now I'm going to make sure no one can have you. If I can't no one can," Kakuzu growled. Kakashi struggled against him as he felt warm breath hit his neck. "Stop struggling and stay still."
"No, I won't, I don't want to die," Kakashi shrieked. He quickly pushed his head back and hit Kakuzu in the chin making him let go. Kakashi jumped up and ran as fast as he could in any direction.
"Damn, there's too much land for me to search. I'll never find him at this rate," Itachi said out loud to no one. He pulled his horse to a stop and looked around. To his right was a small cliff and his left open fields. He rode along farther beside the cliff and stopped. He got off of his horse and scratched his head. He stopped as he lost all thoughts of locations. "Sometimes I wish he would just fall out of the air!"
"Shit!" someone yelled above. Itachi looked up to see a person falling. He tilted his head just as they hit him. The pair of them fell with a thud that made Itachi's horse tense and jump. The other lifted them self off Itachi. "Owww. Oh God, I'm so sorry."
"So am I," Itachi responded. 'Note to self, never wish for someone to fall from the sky by a cliff,' Itachi thought annoyed. He looked up and the person got up and stumbled away from him. "Are you alright?"
"No, I've been running from a mad man and just ran off a cliff and fell right on top of you. So, no I am not alright. But I shall be off. Goodbye, and good day sir," the man stated as he stumbled. Itachi looked at him and smiled. He stood and walked over to the stumbling man.
"You know it is customary in my kingdom that we kiss those who have saved us from such a fall," Itachi said slyly. The man turned angrily but stopped. They went wide eyed as they saw Itachi. "Aw, I was right."
"Itachi!" Kakashi shouted as he ran full force back to Itachi and tackled his lover. He kissed him and then left small pecks around the mans face. "Oh thank God. I was so worried I'd never see you again."
"Now you won't," came a dark threat. Kakashi looked up in fear. He buried his face in the other prince's chest. Itachi sat up and turned glaring up at the man plaguing his beloved. They glared intensely at one another as Itachi cradled Kakashi's head stroking his hair soothingly. "I believe that is my property you're holding right now."
"Kakuzu, how dare you say that about Kakashi. He is no one's property. Least of all yours. Now, leave him alone or I will have you eliminated. No, I'll just kill you myself," Itachi growled as he looked at the vampire. Neither of them moved as something spooked Itachi's horse. Everything was still until Kakuzu launched himself at Itachi and Kakashi. Before he was near them they were on the horse and racing away. Kakuzu released a yell in anger as he watched them leave. "Kakashi, Kakashi, there is something I have to tell you. Our fathers were attacked by someone. We have not seen either of them since."
"What?" Kakashi asked looking at Itachi in confusion. He shook his head as he thought of his father and brother. "What about Tsuyoi and Utsukushi? Are they alright?"
"They should be fine. Last I knew of they were staying at my castle with our mothers," Itachi answered smiling. The silver prince groaned as they suddenly stopped. "What is this?"
"What's wrong?" Kakashi asked turning to see a large group of armed men surrounding them. "Who are you all?"
"They are my troops," came a voice that made Itachi and Kakashi turn. They both frowned as King Sarutobi came into view. "Now, hand over Kakashi and surrender. I give you my word that if you do these things you will not be hurt."
"Why should I hand over my beloved or surrender to you?" Itachi asked pulling Kakashi to his body. He growled as Kakuzu stepped forward. "Never."
"Then die," Kakuzu replied as the men lowered their weapons to charge. Kakashi turned to Itachi shaking his head.
"Sorry, but you two will not die yet. You still have a purpose to serve. Take them as prisoners," Sarutobi ordered. The men immediately followed orders and closed in on Kakashi and Itachi. They hugged each other tightly, when someone destroyed the weapons of Sarutobi's men.
"Step away from the two princes."
