Kino - Спокойная ночь (Calm night)

Girls' Frontline

I own nothing except my OC.

Their last temporary hideout was in ruins. The enemy was encroaching upon their positions with renewed zeal, while the Commander of Sector 09 made a hasty escape.

"Shit, where's Nightingale?!" Commander screamed over the sounds of gunfire and explosions. Then she could hear humming over the comms, a familiar melancholic tune she occasionally caught him playing whenever he had to pay her base a visit during calmer times. Her heart sank.

He kept running and they kept chasing until they eliminated the last of them. It never mattered who he had to fight, be it his previous comrades in Rosethorn, Sangvis Ferri, KCCO or Paradeus. They all had a single goal in mind, wipe him out. His friend paid dearly for trying to help him in the end. And now has come his time to pay the price and let the "greenhorn" escape. To become a new Kingmaker. So a familiar tune left his lips as he scrambled for gear for that single last stand. So they all would remember who he was and who he has become.

He found SV-98, lying dead on the ground, bloodied, with her gun clutched tightly in her hands.

"Тем кто ложится спать - спокойного сна…"

With one last mag and a vest filled with as many grenades as he could find, he would make this a night to remember.

"...спокойная ночь."

Commander and her dolls could hear him slowly singing his last tune over the comms. His shots have become the melody, his grenades have become percussion.

As they made their way further and further away from their temporary hideout, the gunfire became quieter. With each passing moment, everything became still.

The night was finally calm.
