Naruto sheathed his Claymore on his back as he went saw Kratas and Atreus outside heading down the cliffside."Alright we can worry about fixing the house went we get back for now we move" Naruto said as they started descending the cliffside.
"Who was he" Atreus asked and Naruto sighed "He's my half-brother" Naruto said "He's always been a little unhinged but ever since mom enchanted him he went mad" Naruto explained.
"Did. . You kill him" Atreus asked and Kratas sighed "I did what I have to".Atreus frowned "You could have died. .never do that alone again got it?" Atreus said firmly, getting a small smile from Kratas "Alright"she said nogging her son.
The family of three began climbing up the side of a cliff with Atreus hanging on his mother's back."You kill people before" Atreus stated more than asked "You sound used to it". Kratas' eyes glazed over remembering her partheoncide.
"We do what we can to survive" Kratas said firmly and Atreus frowned. "Animals I understand. . Draugrs too their meant to be dead. .but people. . . they're trying to survive too"
Naruto nodded in agreement."Very true my boy keep that in ,You need to learn not to feel for your enemies" Naruto said "Cause they will not feel for you".
"Close your heart to their desperation" Kratas recited her Amazon kill code "Close your heart to their suffering". Atreus nodded mindlessly still mulling over their words.
After a few old puzzles they continued on the way."Father will we meet more people on our journey" Atreus asked and Naruto nodded "Of course" and Atreus then asked "Will they be friendly?".Kratas snorted "I doubt that wants your father dead. . And more want me dead".
"That kinda sucks" Atreus arrived at a cliffside looking over the forest."All this time there's been protection staves over our woods" Atreus said in awe "But the one over there is broken".
"Kyu marked the tree she wished to be her pyre" Kurama said "She said the type of tree your burned with is very important" the fox said as they turned from the cliff."So. .how long will it take to get to the mountain top" Atreus asked and Naruto and Kurama shrugged "I do not know".The traveled through a narrow passage and came across more Draugrs.
Kratas and Naruto quickly cut through the undead enemies with their ax and daggers one by cutting his head off he turned to see Kratas full body tossing a projectile."Man. . how am i still alive" Naruto whistled as Kratas tore another in half over her shoulders."Mom is. . quite violent" Atreus said with a sweatdrop before noticing some ruins writtens on stones."Hmm hey Atreus can you jot that down" Naruto asked as while he would he doesn't a notebook and Kratas can't read.
Finishing the last one the family scaled a rock that continued their way up the mountain side till they arrived on a bridge."That doesn't seem stable at all" Naruto said but Atreus ran out and began jumping on the bridge."Look its stab-aah!" Atreus yelled as the platform collapsed beneath him forcing him to hang on."Atreus!" Naruto and Kratas yelled and tried to save but the bridge seemed to be unstable."Hang on!" Naruto said and Kurama hopped off his shoulders and quickly went over and tried to grab Arteus collar.
However the combined weight of 4 caused the bridge to creak and tremble."Shit" Kratas yelled before hopping just as the bridge broke and managed to grab her son before she hit the Naruto and Kurama managed to land safely to the ground."Hey that wasn't so bad" Atreus said but froze at his mothers scowl."Slow down" Kratas growled out "Rushing will get you kill son,Don't be a fool who charge in like a ox" Naruto said ignoring the huff of "hypocrite" from Kurama."Uh. . more Draugr? But these aren't they dead? I mean. . more dead?" Artrues asked getting close to one.
"Atrues stay back" Naruto said drawing a dagger and throwing it to the dagger towards the Draugr who was just came to life."Not dead! Not dead!" Atrues yelled before the dagger tore the head of the undead warrior with its sheer force."Back me up dear" Naruto said resummoning the dagger."Of course my love" Kratas said taking her ax and cutting a Draugr two began to cut through the enemies with help of Atreus and Kratas occasionally to "glory kill"."That was last one" Atreus said panting "Did i do good" the boy said to his wasn't much to hide his emotions but Kratas kept in bottled in so she didn't show approval often.
". . .you did well enough" Kratas said "But quicken your rate of fire and aim your arrows more truer" this got a smile from Atreus and Naruto."Hey Atreus why don't you jot down these" Naruto said pointing to some more and Kurama more trained eyes caught side of the side of rubble shaking on the side of a pillar."There something breaking through a wall" Naruto said and Kratas and Atreus turned to see a stone like draugr hop out.
"Well this seems like i'm gonna need something bigger" Naruto said taking out his claymore just ask Kratas threw her ax charged with ice which froze the swung the claymore slamming into the golem slamming him into the golem tried to swing back but Kratas parried it guys another golem with two smaller golems dropped in."Damn you" Kratas snarled in anger before charging and beginning to beatdown a stone draugr.
Naruto blocked a strike from the other heavy draugr while Kurama bit the head off the sidestepped a sloppy swing before lifting his claymore to block a strike from the weaker draugr before Kurama dealt with that swung his claymore and clashed with the two contested strength for a bit before a arrow from Atrues stunned the golem allow Naruto to adjust his claymore to slash into the golem shoulder.
"Kratas! Heads up" Naruto said, yanking the golem towards his wife with his grabbed the golem out of the sky before slamming it down,holding it by the legs she proceeded to crush her head beneath her boots."Pathetic" Kratas scoffed picking up Atreus like luggage before beginning to climb the damaged cliffside."Not everyone can punch a hole in a mountain" Naruto chuckled as he followed.
"So we're going towards the scary singing?" Atreus asked as he and his parent went towards the sound of a woman singing."Most likely a witch" Naruto said sheathing his claymore "best to stay on guard" and like he said a minute later a old hunched over feminine figure emerged."Yep a witch" Naruto said as his wife charged in only for the witch to vanish and appear behind her."What?" Kratas said before a wave of vile magic hit her.
Naruto whistled lowly "Man so she quick on her feet" Naruto said looking as Kratas tried to hit the witch with little luck as the witch continued vanishing."Atreus go ahead and fire" Naruto said getting a head tilted from his son."Okay" the young archer said notching a arrow and firing hitting the witch stunning her long enough for Kratas to get a clean hit on it."Thought so" Naruto said "Atreus fire in tandem with your mother" Naruto said pointing.
Atrues nodded and fired, allowing Kratas to land an elbow to backhand another fire Kratas was able to kick the witch in the knees and then the stomach before winding and slapping the witch mother and son due was able to beat the witch down with the combination of arrows and beatdown."Excellent work son" Kratas said smirking smugly at the satisfying beatdown of the witch.
"Thanks ma'am" Atreus blushed before fighting off a noogie from his family continued their walktaking a moment to climb the wall."I don't understand why that guy attacked our home" Atreus asked and Naruto shrugged "Baldur always been unhinged. . but he never bothered to seek me out" Naruto said "Perhaps he was on a mission from the All-Father?" Kurama said unsure seeing as it was Odin who handed Naruto over to the Greeks in the first place to be locked up.
Not that old Naruto didn't deserve it
"Maybe. . no doubt he heard about what happened a long time ago" Naruto said glancing to Kratas who frowned."What happened a long time ago" Atreus said and Kratas shook her head as she took down another Heavy Draugr "That is a story for when you are older" the war goddess said."We should look out for any revenant. .the are most likely waiting for us" Kratas said as they scaled cleaning a few more Draugrs at the top of a ledge they went walked up to some sort of cabinet,
"It says his name is Hrungnir" Atrues said "Oh yea the stone guy" Naruto said tilting his head."Yea. .there Odin,Thor,and even the World Serpent!" Atreus said in awe."Yeah Thor had a nasty habit of killing loads of giants" Naruto said "Made him very much hated in Jotunheim".Kratas shook her head "He's a brute. . not even the sexy kind" this got a gag and a blush from Atreus and Naruto respectfully.
"Don't even start Kratas" Naruto said while Kratas smirked at her family made their way and came across a ice element draugr which Naruto cleared with his flaming dagger with ease while Kratas and Atreus jumped another poor draugrs appeared but the family of gods were able to deal with the with ease."We must stay vigilant'" Kratas said breaking the spine of an undead "Enemies are becoming more common" the boys nodded as they passed under a gate.
"NOW!" they hear a voice and see some human enemies approach."Atreus stay out of this one" Kratas said firmly."Don't get involved youngling" Kurama snarled at the cannibals before Kratas went in and snapped one of their winced as she dealt with enemies with sickening ease.A draugrs might be able to tank a blow or two but these humans went down or even died with a single she saw Naruto shared the same sentiments.
Kratas sighed as the last enemy went down but was caught off guard by being tackled by a larger enemy. Of course Kratas was able to immediately gain control."MOM! HELP!" turning she saw an enemy was holding and trying to kill Atreus."ATREUS!" Kratas yelled breaking the neck of the guy before rushing up to the up she froze seeing that Atreus had killed the man."Atreus" Kratas whispered helping her son look as her son began tearing up and for the first time in a while Kratas felt her motherly protectiveness swell up.
"Its okay baby" Kratas whispered as Naruto finished dealing with the guys at the top and ran over to pull his wife and son into a hug."Close her heart my son" Kratas whispered "They care not for you" she said enjoying the warmth of her son and the protection of her blinked when she saw a ice draugr appear.
"Kill them all" Kratas thought before leaping at it and tearing his head clean off.
"Leave them to me" Kratas snarled and both boys remembered the last time Kratas was this angry was when Atrues was born and how she kept Kurama and Kyu away from baby Atreus for several months.
"Go get them honey" Naruto thought as Kratas charged at them.
Sorry that this chapter was short but i have something in the kitchen that has me story is gonna be vastly different from what you have seen so far and i hope you will like light novel. . .written by someone who only played the game and watch one to many Game Theories on it.
