As soon as 505 left the room, Sadie rolled over on her side to face Melanie. She wished she could move more to wake her up, but her limbs were still limp and useless.

So, Sadie called out to her, "Melanie? Melanie?! Wake up! It's me! Sadie! Please, wake up! Hey!"

Still nothing…Sadie let out a sigh of frustration. At least, she knew where her friend was.

Suddenly Sadie had an idea. She could use her healing magic to wake Melanie. She didn't know if it would work, but it was worth a shot. She concentrated all her healing abilities into her arms and focused it to heal her arms so that she could move them again.

"Come on, ya stupid magic," Sadie said to her arms as they started glowing with shining yellow magic. "Ya better work this time."

Gradually, the magic began to work. It started at her fingertips and spread down to her arms. Slowly, Sadie managed to lift her lower arms towards herself and then stretched upwards.

After another few minutes, Sadie regained the ability to move her arms as freely as she did before. She smiled at her success and then looked at Melanie.

Sadie reached over towards Melanie and directed her magic towards her.

"Alright, Melanie," Sadie pleaded. "Please wake up already. God, please make her wake up."

After a minute, Melanie finally opened her eyes. She then groggily moved her head around and looked around the room.

Her eyes then fell on Sadie.

"Sadie?" Melanie asked in disbelief as her tired mind slowly figured out what was happening. "Sadie, is that really you? Am I dreaming?"

Sadie sighed deeply and said, "I wish we were dreaming."

Melanie bolted upwards in bed and said, "Sadie?! Oh, God! What are you doing here?! Did they capture you?!"

"Yeah…" Sadie said. "I put up a good fight against Flug and Demencia. I shapeshifted and ran away. I turned into a wolf and bit the tart. I used my singing voice to summon animals. I got them to fight them, but they kept bouncing back, the lizard lady threatened to hurt you, and drugged me."

"Dammit," muttered Melanie.

"Yeah, they're villains," Sadie replied with a shrug. "I should have known they wouldn't play fair."

"Dang it, Sadie! Why didn't you run away?" asked Melanie, trying and failing to calm her own nerves. "I tried, but there were probes everywhere and I had to shapeshift and hide. I couldn't get away."

Melanie laid back against her pillow and groaned.

There was no way Sadie could just escape. Or could she?

Melanie bolted upwards again and asked, "Wait, Sadie, did Flug put any tracking devices on you like he did to me?"

"No, no, they haven't," Sadie said.

"Then you can heal yourself and I can get you out of here," said Melanie hopefully. "I just learned how to phase. I could possibly phase you through the wall, but you need to heal yourself first. Can you do that?"

"Yeah, I can," Sadie replied. "But I need to hurry. Those villains aren't stupid. We need to get out of here before they realize I'm here."

"You need to get out of here and get help," Melanie corrected. "With this tracker on my foot, I can't go anywhere."

"But…" Sadie tried to argue.

"We don't have time to argue," Melanie said before finally processing what Sadie had said. "Wait. Before they realize you're here? Sadie, what do you mean? How did you get here?"

"Oh, 505 brought me here, gave me a bath, changed my clothes, texted my parents, and put me to bed," Sadie said. "But the mad scientist doesn't know I'm here yet. We gotta get out of here before he finds out."

"That sweet bear, I hope he doesn't get in trouble for this," Melanie mused for a second before snapping back to reality. "We need to get you out of here before Flug finds out. Now, quit talking and focus all your energy on healing."

"Got it," Sadie said, focusing her magic all over her body while Melanie sat up and held her hand. "Come on, ya bloody magic. Work faster."

Meanwhile, down in the lab, Flug had finished patching up Demencia and was now focusing on setting up the cage for the shape-shifting girl.

The cage was 15 feet by 15 feet wide and 10 feet tall with clear blue force fields making up the walls on all four sides. The floor was white tile. In the right corner was a single made-up bed with gray blankets and sheets. In the left corner were a toilet, a sink, and a shower with a standing towel rack holding all the standard soaps and shampoo, and other amenities for a prisoner of her status.

505 wandered into the room as Flug finished setting up the forcefield walls.

"There, we go," Flug muttered to himself before he noticed 505. "Ah, there you are, 505…"

Flug paused as he noticed that 505 was empty-handed. It took everything in him not to panic.

"505, buddy, where's the Nun-ja girl?" asked Flug as calmly as he could.

505 held his paws together and made a sleeping gesture.

"Okay, she's asleep? Where?" Flug asked.

505 happily grunted a pointed upwards. It took him only a second to realize where 505 took the girl.

"You took her to Melanie's room?!" cried Flug.

505 nodded happily.

"Oh, my God," Flug said, powerwalking past 505 while he confusedly followed behind him. "We need to go get her before Black Hat turns my insides out again."

505 grunted confusedly to ask why.

Flug was disappointed, but he didn't want to upset his little bear.

"Oh, Fluffy, if we leave the girls together, they could plot an escape," Flug said. "We have to stop that from happening for Melanie's sake and mine."
