Chapter 1.5

[Great Lake, Outer Gate Number: 4027]

A fierce storm raged over the spot where a young teenager lay, his body pierced by several wounds on his torso, turning the ground into a crimson pool of blood gushing from his wounds.

The situation in his eyes was even more critical. The boy brought his hand toward them with difficulty.

"Ugh... dammit. At least I managed to keep Cú Chulainn's spear from reaching my heart."

He sat up with an effort, unable to see his surroundings. He decided to materialize a katana to use as a support and feel his surroundings.

"But the curse of Gáe Bolg is hindering my regeneration."

He trudged through the dense forest for several minutes until he reached the steep flank of the mountain.

"Hmm...? I can't rest the katana on the ground... It must be too steep, or I've reached the edge of the abyss at the top of the mountain. I'll look for another way."

He turned left cautiously, trusting that there was a trail, only to trip over a rock as he lifted his foot.

He tried to save himself, but ended up falling backwards, rolling like an dasypodidae and letting go of the katana by mistake.

"My luck sucks."

He groaned as he rolled down the road. In the midst of his fall, he came across a strange golden portal that he passed through before landing in a beautiful flower garden, where various shades of colors such as red, yellow, white, pink, purple, and more were spreading.

[Gilgamesh Territory, Outer Gate Number: 3947]

"Ah!"

He stopped abruptly when he collided with something. He stretched out his hands to identify what it was.

"Legs? If so, then who have I bumped into?"

"Huh..." he felt someone's hand on his head.

"How strange..."

Before he could react, his head was pushed to the ground.

"Damn. It looks like I've found someone problematic."

"You are a wretch who has defiled my beautiful garden. Don't expect me to be nice to you, piece of garbage."

From her voice, he could tell that it was a woman. Who would it be?

"Quiet, quiet. I'll leave quietly because of what you've just done. I just need you to guide me out of your precious garden."

"My guide will be a kick."

With that, the young man was sent flying back the way he had come.

Thinking that with that she was going to get rid of the boy.

"Hey, that was painful. I'll only end up coming back to this place if you send me away with a kick again."

He showed his displeasure with the woman's action.

Even though he said that the woman didn't seem to care about his words. He had been sent to fly back to the woman's feet. He spent several minutes that way like a ball coming back to the feet of the one who was kicked.

"Who knew. This is fun."

The woman commented with a tone of amusement in her voice. The boy could only growl in pain and anger at being used as a football.

The boy's body was stopped by the woman's feet.

"I had a lot of fun. Now let me help you with those wounds and then get out of my territory."

"Haaah..."

The young man could only sigh. And grudgingly accept the woman's words.

He felt his body being bathed in a liquid.

Little by little, the wounds on his body healed, as well as the part of his eyes, making him regain his sight.

He saw a beautiful golden-haired woman reaching out to his hip and her enigmatic red eyes staring disdainfully at him.

"Thank you so much for healing me."

He decided to be thankful and put aside how he was mistreated.

Sigh. "I'm leaving now. I will make no apologies for falling on your turf. I was unlucky to get here."

"Get out. I don't want to hear an excuse from you."

"It's okay, it's okay. Seriously, women today are disrespectful-."

He was sent flying by the woman's extended kick.

"That half-breed he thinks he is."

He began his walk past his prized garden to reach the path that led to his castle.

Entering his home, he met a beautiful woman with a slender body. Her green hair swayed by the wind coming through the garden gate, her eyes the same color as her hair looked curiously at the sudden change of mood of the golden-haired woman.

"Did something happen, Gilgamesh?"

Sigh. "A strange half-breed came through the doorway to our place of relaxation."

"Am I coming by the Great Lake?", Gilgamesh nodded. "But that place is known to be known to no one to enter, since it's your property."

"Yes. But I come to this place wounded and also blind. So, I had no way of knowing he was on my property."

"Is that boy all right?"

"Yes. I was kind to send him back the way he came."

A drop appeared on the other girl's head.

"Were you kind?"

"Yes. I kicked him out."

"... That was not "kind" of you, Gilgamesh."

"Don't worry. He's not dead from a weak kick I gave him."

"Reason?"

"He's a monster. And the way he dressed was oriental. So, he must be a yokai."

"A yokai? It's the first time I've seen a yokai leaving its territory."

"There are few who leave their territory. But he is well known as a kind of yokai who likes to travel all over Little Garden."

"... Oni..."

"Yes. That kind of monster hangs around all over Little Garden..."

Gilgamesh looked back. He narrowed his eyes as he stared at the golden portal through which this Oni had come to his territory.

"Let's eat better, Enkidu."

Enkidu closed his eyes, smiling. "Let's go."

A month has passed since Gilgamesh last "kindly" removed the boy from his precious garden.

"Because the fuck you came back."

She unleashed the boy in front of her with poison.

"Just thank you for the help a month ago." He picked up a bag that covered several floors of food box.

"With food?"

"Well... I have no idea what you might like. So, I cooked and came to give you this as a thank you."

The woman looked at the boy with disdain. But he decided to accept the thanks.

"So, you're that guy who came last month."

The boy watched as a beautiful woman materialized above them with some golden chains around her. He showed his confusion on his face, wondering who she was.

"Haha." She let out a slight laugh. "My name is Enkidu, it's nice to meet you."

The boy's eyes widened in surprise.

"Yes, she is Enkidu. So, this girl is Gilgamesh."

"My name is Sengo. Nice to meet you, Miss Enkidu."

Enkidu watched as her friend raised an eyebrow.

"And that sudden way of being respectful?"

"Well, she didn't kick me out of this place. Something you did."

"Don't expect an apology from me. You're a half-breed who sullied my precious garden."

"Oh, excuse your highness for having sullied your beautiful garden."

Sengo hunched his body on the ground and extended his embrace and made a prayer.

His head was buried like last time.

"A fake apology doesn't make me happy!"

"Yes, yes."

Sengo waved his arm from left to right.

"You..."

In his hand was a sword. His other hand gripped Sengo's arm.

"I'll cut off your arm for your rude and disrespectful way of addressing me."

Keeping her word, she cut off Sengo's arm. Who looked at everything disinterestedly.

"Wow... what should I do now, Miss Enkidu."

Enkidu put his finger to his chin. "I suppose crying and begging for mercy."

"Really?"

"Yes."

Seng's face showed disagreement.

"I won't."

He grabbed his freshly severed arm and then began to retreat.

"This half-breed still disrespects me!"

"Yes, yes. Try to calm down first, Gilgamesh."

"Because I would! Come, I want to cut off your damn head now, you scoundrel!"

"Looks like you're having trouble handling an airhead."

Seng's comment angered Gilgamesh more, but he tried to calm down so as not to prove him right.

Sengo laughed a little at Gilgamesh's sudden change to acting like a mature person.

But he decided on his way to retire. Enkidu, seeing that, spoke to him again.

"Eat with us. After all, you cooked this."

"I'm sorry. But I will have to decline your humble offer, Miss Enkidu. I have to go home to eat with my family and especially not to make my daughters angry."

"His daughters?"

"Yes. I spend more time traveling in every corner of Little Garden than I let go of spending time with my daughters. So, I wouldn't want to be hated by them."

Sengo made one last bow for Enkidu and then continued his retreat.

"Too bad. Good luck on your return home."

Enkidu said goodbye to Sengo. Gilgamesh, on the other hand, looked on with no interest at Sengo's retreat.

"We'd better eat before this gets cold."

Gilgamesh emphasized the boxes of food that were given to him as a thank you.

Sengo, passing the golden portal, looked back.

"So, Enkidu: Chains of Heaven."

I end up smiling with a dark intention.

"I must first gain the trust of both of them, and then get the Chains of Heaven."

[King Oni Yamato Castle, Outer Gate Number: 2976]

Sengo, finishing lunch with his family, was in the courtyard talking to a beautiful woman with horns on her head just like hers, with black hair and white locks extending down her back to her hips, red eyes, and wearing her pajamas with a flintlock gun design.

"So, the person who saved you last month was Gilgamesh."

The girl spoke as she drank some sake from her porcelain glass.

"Yes." Sengo also drank the sake from his glass. "Besides, I'm interested in the Chains of Heaven that you hold in your hands. Nobunaga, do you think I'll survive?"

Nobunaga raised an eyebrow. "We're talking about [Hero King] Gilgamesh. One misstep and you'll die. I would recommend that you gain Gilgamesh's trust first, she will surely be alert to any move you make. Once past that wall you can plan your move to steal the Chains of Heaven."

"I thought the same thing... But it's sure to take a while."

"Patience is a virtue, don't forget that." Nobunaga poured more sake for herself as she said that.

"Yes, I know." Sengo replied as he finished drinking the sake from his glass.

"By the way…" Sengo raised his gaze to see Nobunaga. "Is it polite to be drinking sake while your daughters watch us?"

"Don't worry about us, Aunt Nobunaga!"

The smiling and playful gaze of a girl with black hair and heterochromatic eyes; one red and the other gold with numerals and a moving hand. She was on the floor using Sengo's legs as a pillow, listening to their conversations while she looked at the stars.

"That wouldn't be the only rudeness, they're talking about stealing something."

Another girl with white hair and heterochromatic eyes spoke; one red and the other blue with numbers and a moving hand. He used Seng's other leg as a pillow.

The appearances of the two girls were identical, only differentiating the color of their hair and eyes.

The albino girl looked reproachfully at her father.

"Ugh... I guess you're right, Shiro." Sengo replied as he looked away.

"I still can't believe you named them by their hair color." Nobunaga spoke, frowning.

"If it had been a pet, I would have called it White." Sengo replied disinterestedly.

"That would be more outrageous!"

Nobunaga and Shiro complained.

"Hahaha, Shiro-wanko!"

"Kurumi!"

Shiro tugged at the hair of the named Kurumi.

"There's going again." Nobunaga said with a blank stare as he watched the two girls fighting. "They're always fighting, I wonder if they don't get tired of always doing the same thing."

"I don't think so. In my case, I also do the same things. And I'm sure I'll continue to do so for a long time."

Sigh. "What a headache the father and his daughters are." I finish drinking the sake in one gulp.

Nobunaga got up to grab the pigtails of the fighting girls.

"That hurts!"

Shiro and Kurumi complained at the same time.

"It's time to sleep, I'm going to take them to their rooms! And the stupid father must surely go."

Sengo ended up frowning.

"For some reason, I look like a scumbag abandoning her daughters."

"It's the truth!" Nobunaga remarked furiously, retreating from that place.

Sengo watched as his daughters still fought in Nobunaga's arms.

"I suppose she's a little right."

He got up and left his father's castle.

[Several Years Later]

"You damned!"

A muscular man with blond hair and blue eyes complained. He had been stopped with golden chains in the sky.

"I'm going to thank you for giving me your [Leo Sun Authority]."

"You're snatching it from me!"

"It means the same thing in this war. We all participate with the goal of getting a [Sun Authority]. Don't complain, Heracles."

A strong kick hit Heracles in the stomach, and he was sent flying several miles out of Little Garden.

Sengo took out a kiseru on which the metal part was written [Oda Nobunaga].

Sigh. "Damn Nobunaga. I seriously got addicted to smoking because of you."

Although he complained about Nobunaga, he lit the kiseru and then put it in his mouth and started smoking.

His skin suddenly bristled.

"You took your time getting here, Gilgamesh."

Sengo greeted Gilgamesh on his back as if they were best friends.

"Don't talk to me like we're friends."

Their hatred was heard.

"But we were really friends. Well, once in the past."

I speak selflessly without concern for Gilgamesh's hatred.

"I'll kill you and get my precious best friend Enkidu back."

He materialized his weapon by being held by his right hand.

"Hmpf, Sword of Rupture, EA. Looks like you're serious."

"He won't escape like a damn rat this time, SENGO!"

"This will be fun."

Sengo smiled as if he were going to play with an old friend.
