Chapter 4! Here we are, Traveler is introduced to The Chosen One! This might be a hard chapter for me to write, so it'll be a while for it to be completed. Wish me luck, this is where the fun begins.

Kaeya POV - Mondstadt

Waiting, that's all I can do for now, wait. Looking out from the top of the headquarters, I wait for our friends to return.

"Expecting our friends' return, Kaeya?" Lisa asks, joining me on the roof.

"But of course, this IS their test after all" I answer, looking to her, then back. "Oh? Another test? I figured you were here to look after them from afar, with that strange phenomenon giving us the scare and all" she tells me, turning her gaze towards Springvale.

That's right! That sound, I almost forgot "True, but I'm certain they can handle themselves. After all, they have just opened the second chest" I give a sly smile, knowing they could do it.

"And now for the real test" I continue, stepping away from the edge of the roof.

"Real test? Very interesting, even for you" Lisa smiles, curiosity burning behind her eyes. "Thieves are closing in on him, and want to see his course of action. To see him in a different light" I answer, calling a handful of knights to my disposal.

"Simply put, let him 'Surprise' me"

??? POV - Falcon Coast

...Hummmmmm

I remember, a sound I can never forget, it's practically been with me my whole life. So much so, especially during the Clone Wars, and more...long after...

...Hummmmmm Kshhh!! Vrmmm!! Ksh!!

Boom!!!

"Haah!" Moving from target to target, I deflect, and dodge at the same time, avoiding the attacks of...those slime balls?

"Buzzzzz!!"

"Not so fast!" Landing on a greenish slime and quickly jumping onto another, making them strike each other. "Just like Battledroids" I told myself, Force Pushing away another purple slime.

STAB!!!

"Agh!!" I yell in pain, gripping my shoulder as blood runs down my arm and stains my sleeve. "Agh, what the he-?!" "Rawgh!!" Hearing the sound of incoming foes, I turn my attention towards them, lightsaber at the ready.

"Damn masked beasts!!" "Rawwgh!!" They fire their arrows, "Seriously? This?" Blocking their strikes with my blade, I watched them burn on contact.

"Buzzzzz"

"Hah!!" Blocking the electrical strike from all those purple slimes, an old nightmare has resurfaced "...ed power...!" Those words... "No!" Deflecting their electricity back at them, I slam a boulder into one of the others with the use of the Force.

"...strong with you..." I can't, that voice, it must be stopped. Losing touch with reality, that's what I do, stop and go try harder. Pushing away one slime and stabbing the other, I repeat this short process, cries falling on deaf ears.

"Bump!"

"!?" Getting shoved to the water by a large slime, I boomerang throw my lightsaber at it, and call it back just in time to swing at another one, killing it this time.

"Buzzzzzinnnggg!?!?"

Stopping an electric slime from attacking with the Force, I go further, crushing it until it pops and disappears.

"Woosh!!"

Hearing the familiar sound of an arrow, I backflip high and land behind the humanoids, stabbing from behind. "Vrmmmm!!" Staring down at the remaining monster, I Force Pull it towards me, and strike again, between the eyes.

Aether POV - Springvale

"Hah!" Finishing off the last of the Anemo slimes, we continue our journey, as soon as Paimon stops hiding again. "Are they gone now?" She asks looking from behind my shoulder "Yes, they're gone now. It's okay now" I answer, putting away my sword.

"Sheesh! All this work is making Paimon tired" my small companion says, watching as I open the large chest before us.

"Hm, oh. Here we are" I tell myself, picking up the map.

"This time, the mysteries have all been solved, it sure took a lot of work. But in all fairness, this treasure map really is terrible... It looks like it was drawn by a pirate..." Paimon rambles on, probably forgetting some important details...again.

"So now...?" There it is, the long pause in the air, what should come next? "We have to tell Kaeya about this first, this map does look really important!" I think hard, knowing this option was the right one. "And the Treasure Hoarders? I can't let them get there first..." This choice isn't exactly as easy as I figured it would.

...I've made up my mind "Let's go to the treasure location directly!" I answered, getting Paimon all excited. "You read my mind! Paimon's so happy!" Very adorable she can be "Let's go for it! Don't want anyone else to get there before we do!" She finishes, flying in circles with pure excitement.

"Come on! We gotta get there quickly!" I tell her, both of us racing to the next clue, somehow, I feel like we're being watched.

??? POV - Falcon Coast

"Are you sure it's here?" A man, clearly a thief, asked his accomplice, who is equally searching for their goal, the treasure.

"Yes! It IS here!" The other thief answered back, searching the area where those kids talked about, the Lost Arcadian Ruins! Continuing to look for that treasure, both men turn over almost EVERY rock, and go deep into the cave.

*faint rumbling*...

"Stop!" The leader yells, immediately holding still as the others do the same. "What is it?" One of them asks, ready to attack their intruder(s). The leader holds up his hand "...Shhhh...listen..." he whispers, listening in close.

*more faint rumbling*

"...We're not alone" The leader thinks, feeling SOMETHINGS dark aura.

"...KOOOO...PAAHHH"

"...KOOOO...PAAHHH..."

*lightsaber ignites*

"W-What is that!?" One of the men scream, paralyzed with fear, "S-Shoot at him!!" Another man yells, attacking the imposing humanoid figure with a small CRYO blast, only for it to be deflected!

"Go! Take him down!" "Aghhh!!" "Run!!" "Help us!!"

*Vroom!! Ksshhh!! Vroom! Bshhh!!*

The screams, along with the sounds of death, filled and echoed throughout the halls of the cave, as most of the Treasure Hoarders were cut down, and to those that escaped, made sure to let the others know of the mechanical demon that guarded the cave. Whatever treasure is in that cave, is not worth dying for...

Kaeya POV - Later that day...

"...Alright. Let's take him back" I order my fellow knights, making sure our new 'guests' didn't try to escape.

"Sir! Yes Sir!" They both say in unison. "Captain, should we take these two in as well?" One of the knights suggests, slightly upsetting Paimon.

"What!?"

"Haha, of course not. They are the ones who made this arrest possible" I answer, "Without them spreading our fabricated intel, we wouldn't have been able to catch the Treasure Hoarders"

"So the intel is fake?" Aether asks. "You're a bad man for lying to me... Shame on the knights!" Paimon cries out.

"Alright, alright... Stop it already" "Though the treasure doesn't exist, you did want it for yourself, didn't you?" I ask. "Otherwise, you would have informed me of your intentions, no?"

Nervous, Paimon struggles to answer "That...well...ah...Hmph! Let's go Traveler. Paimon's done talking to him!" All mad and flustered.

"Ha, just a sec" I quickly interject, "You did help me out, so you do deserve a reward". "This is the "Triumphant Harbinger of Dawn That Points Towards Victory." As its name suggests, it symbolizes light and victory." I present their reward, and, the reason behind the name. "If you don't mind, I would like to present you with this Harbinger of Dawn as a reward."

"Harbinger of Dawn?" The floating child questions.

"That's right. It suits a well-cultured and disciplined person such as yourself, wouldn't you say, Paimon?" I further elaborate.

"Well...If the reward is this Harbinger of Dawn..."

"You'd forgive me, right?" I ask, "I'm honored to have such an understanding friend"

"Yes...Yes.." she accepts, smiling a little.

"You have my apologies for the deception. I will not use the same method twice"

"...Means you'll use a different method next time..?" The traveler asks in a meekly manner.

Avoiding that question, I change the subject "What a wonderful day. Now, I have to go interrogate my suspects... Please excuse me. Do come visit me at our headquarters when you have the chance" I finish leaving our two friends to their reward.

"Sir, about the prisoners" one of my fellow knights speak up, a look of worry across his eyes. "Yes, my friend?" I reply, feeling the sense of dread in the air, faint, but there nonetheless.

"The prisoners, we have them detained near the entrance, but-"

"But..?" I question, not expecting a clean answer.

"Sir" The knight wipes the sweat off his brow "One of them is.., different, Sir" he explained. "Different?" "Yes, besides his injuries he's...I think he's a traveler" the knight concluded, taking me to where the thieves are being detained.

"We found these on him, Sir" Another knight says to me, handing over two metallic cylinders and a strange knife. "Hmm...you said, injuries? Did either for you rough them up now?" I ask both of them.

"N-No, Sir. We found him in this state already, he was within a distance from them, I don't believe he was apart of their group" As he explains, I examine the man's belongings, the metal, it's not from here...or anywhere on Teyvet.

"There's...one other thing" The first knight continued. "The other thieves, they're..." "Arrested? I assume?" I question. Giving a deep sigh, he continues "Take a look" he gestures towards an empty hallway.

Taken by surprise, I cannot fathom what I see before me "By the Gods..." I whisper, speechless by the massacre that seemingly occurred here.

"This man" I ask "Have him detained for questioning" I tell them, looking over the strange man in robes, "...If this is who I think it is, then Mondstadt is about to change"

Finally done with this chapter, sorry it took so long! Kinda got busy with my life and stuff. Chapter 5 will finally get things going, Anakin is heading to Mondstadt! Where things MIGHT get slightly worse, as for Kaeya, I'll explain on how he might know who Anakin is. And for Anakin, he has two lightsabers, and a knife (VribroBlade), and is splitting personalities between himself...and Vader.
