Chapter 6, here I plan to have Anakin meet our traveling friends, as well as fight a couple more characters we know. I know the fight between Anakin and Kaeya was short lived, but I do plan for them to have a rematch in the near future. As for now, Skywalker is on the move, and Mondstadt still remains in slight-panic. What will happen next, continue this story to find out.
And remember, I appreciate the reviews! I do read them after all~~~
Amber POV - Whispering Woods(Outskirts)
"Remember! Stay within the trails! Away from the woods!" I yell to a couple adventurers, waving them away with a smile. "Okay, another mission done! Courtesy of Outrider Amber!" I tell myself, proud of my work.
Putting my bow away and doing a few stretches, I begin my next assignment, which ends...before it can begin.
"Huh? Is that?" Bells! The sound of a massive bell ringing, coming from Mondstadt! Not just any bell, a prison escape!
"Ah, ohhh..." I mutter, hearing the faint sounds of the bells of Mondstadt, in a state of shock for a brief moment. "My friends! Dang it! That's right!" I remember, shaking away my shock just before running off back to Mondstadt, seeing my fellow knights in the distance, also on the move.
"Oh damn.., this day isn't starting off so well" I tell myself, stopping myself just as I remember something else, "Where is Traveler?"
Jean POV - Mondstadt(KoF Headquarters)
"He did what!?!" I yelled in shock, still reeling in the details of the prison break from earlier.
"Jean! You're drawing a lot of attention to yourself, no dear. Please calm down" Lisa asked of me, taking a sip of tea before putting away another large book.
Staring at her, I'm not really sure how to react to that, "...Calm down, right! I'm the Acting Grandmaster! I mustn't be seen like this" I remind myself, quickly taking a sip of tea.
"Umm, that was...never mind, enjoy yourself dear" Lisa whispered, not really sure why, just needed to think clearer for now. "Lisa, I did mention that this man TOOK DOWN Kaeya! Without a weapon!" I added.
"Until the end, my dear Jean. The vault was destroyed" Lisa mentioned, reading a few reports about the incident from earlier.
Sighing, I take a seat and place my face upon my hands. "Jean" Lisa calls my name, placing her hand atop mine "It'll be fine, this isn't the first time incidents like these have occurred" she explained, smiling to reassure me.
"sigh Thanks Lisa, I'm just worried about Kaeya, being defeated, by a crook no less! It's-"
The door to the library opens, our unexpected visitor has arrived, "It's, what now? Exactly?" Our icy friend, has returned. "Kaeya! Are you okay! I mean, you're not hurt are you? As Acting Grandmaster, It IS my responsibility to look after all the Knights of Favonius" I explained.
Crossing his arms, he gives us his cool glare "How thoughtful of you, Master Jean" Kaeya smiled. "But I'm more than capable of handling myself" he stated.
"Thoughtful Jean, like a mother hen, it fits" Lisa teased, smiling behind her hand.
"Not now Lisa" I said, trying to spare myself of any embarrassment.
"She's right now, Lisa. We have something more important to discuss?" Kaeya imputed.
"The prisoner, right" I stated "Didn't you say that he had Anemo-like abilities? Kaeya?" I asked, in hope that, the man he described, couldn't have possibly escaped.
"I don't believe it was Anemo, Jean. The man Kaeya described was more...powerful" Lisa guessed, the gears in her head turning. "There was no sign of wind, right? Anemo isn't a silent ability, are you sure it was Ane-"
"It was, no. It had to be, an ability like that is...unheard of, it's true. But I'm certain of what I saw, that man, his power. It's unlike anything I've ever seen..." Kaeya explained, still trying to debunk what he witnessed.
"...Except from..." Lisa falls to realization.
Eyes widening, I forget about the prison escape "...Where is Traveler?!"
Venti POV - Windrise(Statue of Seven)
"Mmmmmmm...Feels much better" I mutter, feeling the calm sunny breeze blows through all of us, like a medicine chasing away a sickness.
"So...how exactly did you get poisoned?" The tiny fairy girl, Paimon, asked.
"Ahh...that would be because I tried to communicate with Dvalin earlier, but was...interrupted..?" I slightly teased, watching their funny reactions. "As a result, not only did I not manage to help Dvalin break his curse, but instead, was also infected myself!" I proclaimed.
"That was...me? Or uhhh...us?" Traveler asked, making Paimon whine in frustration.
Adorable, the look on their faces, it almost makes me laugh, almost, if it wasn't for that faint coldness in the air. "So, to make up for it, Traveler, you're coming with me to the Cathedral!" I declare, crossing my arms with a smile.
"The Mondstadt Cathedral? To do what exactly?" Paimon questioned, glancing at Mondstadt.
"To claim a certain "Holy Lyre Der Himmel" I answered, hands to my hips, still feeling that faint, odd, cold sensation. "Strange, very strange, it's sunny today..." And with that thought, it's time to head off.
Amber POV - Mondstadt (KoF Headquarters)
"He did what!?! I yelled out, surprised at the disturbing news of Kaeya's defeat, more than the task at hand.
"He escaped, Amber" Kaeya simplified, arms crossed. "And unlike your typical prison break, this one...different" he finished.
"HE...was different" Jean corrected, standing next to Lisa, "In the manner Kaeya described him, it almost sounds like he could've been a..."
"No" Lisa quickly interrupted, turning her gaze "If you're going to claim that this mysterious man may have been an...sigh. It may be reasonable to assume that" our residential librarian finished, possibly distressed at the idea they're assuming.
"I...don't follow" I muttered, not exactly sure what to guess "What exactly is going on? Who is this guy even supposed to be?"
"sigh If what Jean and Kaeya are saying is true, then this man could probably be a-" Lisa gets interrupted.
"An Archon" Jean finished, starting at her reflection upon her sword "...or perhaps...something much more".
Aether POV - Windrise(Staute of Seven)
"Well that was strange, he ran off again" Paimon observed, watching the bard make go about his way.
"You're right, that was strange" I told her, watching Venti disappear again. "Now that I notice it, it is feeling a little cold here. But the sun..? It's high noon now..." Lost in my thoughts, I forget about the time, and where I'm supposed to be heading off to.
"Brrr..! It's getting cold, Traveler. Paimon needs a blanket, or some hot choco!" Paimon suggested, hugging herself for some warmth.
Snapped out of my train of thought, I remember what's at stake here, and apologize to my flying friend. "Back to Mondstadt! Again..." I say, not exactly enthusiastic about all this running back and forth.
Starting the hike back to Mondstadt, I take Paimon's words into consideration "Wait, you feel that faint coldness too, Paimon?" I ask her, turning my head.
"You couldn't? That's so strange" She answered, floating around and disappearing again.
"...Odd" I tell myself, continuing my walk back 'home?'. "Now I'm feeling it" despite the sunny sky, I feel it, it's...cold. "Cold...and...anxious..?" Something isn't right here...
"...ler...Traveler? Traveler!" Paimon yells into my ear, floating in front of my face.
"Huh?! Paimon, what wrong now?" I ask, confused yet still feeling a slight sense of dread.
"Paimon can't explain it but...ehhh, you can take a look" She said, floating out of the away to reveal the view of Mondstadt, and...the stranger who stood before it. And now that I see this guy, that cold, ominous feeling has grown tenfold "...Can I help you?" I ask, now noticing the coldness coming from him.
Saying nothing, the mysterious man crosses his arms, stares back for what seems like hours before finally saying something. "Traveler.., you're shorter than I expected".
Confused, I'm not really sure on how to respond "Umm...what?"
"Rude!" Paimon whines, pouting again.
"Do I know you?" I ask again, sensing a conflict about to arise.
"No" He simply said, taking out a metallic cylinder "But I've been looking for you" and a blue light ignites. Backing away slowly, I'm unsure of what to say next.
"And I'm searching for a way back home"
??? POV - Unknown
"He's here, they've meet" A voice spoke, almost echoing in the seemingly vast emptiness.
"Understood, we'll begin are search, with no rest" more voices spoke, in unison it seemed.
A moment of silence followed after, endless it seemed, "...Bring them here, one by one if you must" The leading voice commanded, glaring down upon its legions, all of them mobilizing.
"...Return to us...Skywalker"
Anakin Skywalker POV - Mondstadt(Cathedral)
"Why are we here?" I ask, our long walk leading us back into the city, a miracle I haven't been caught yet.
"A favor for a...friend" The boy, Aether, explains, not too sure about this himself.
"A bit of a stretch to call him friend, Traveler. He's still very suspicious" The strange creature says, staying close to him, wouldn't be surprised as to why. "Speaking of friend..." Aether hints on, looking up ahead to see...whoever that is.
"sigh This better be worth the wait..." I mumble, not interested in wasting time on meaningless affairs, besides, our little 'talk' on an explanation here isn't over yet...
Minutes ago...
"Sooo..? You're a traveler too? Right?" The little girl asked, not getting the meaning behind my words, I think.
"If I say yes, can we move on?" I asked in return, confused on how any sentient creature could possibly be this...stupid.
Simply staring, the boy takes it from there, "Moving on! You said that, you're trying to get home, right? Like us? Well, me?" He states, but it feels like there's more to his question than he's letting on.
"Your lost too? Or, well...stranded? Couldn't be in any worser place" I say, looking around as we walk up to the bridge.
Giving me a confused look, it's probably a lot for him to take in "You make it sound like this has happened to you before" Aether says, staring towards the water. "...Do you think you could help me? I'm-me and my sister, we're...trying to get home" he explains, a hit of sadness within his voice.
"Brother and sister...twins, that's way too familiar..." I thought to myself, trying not to think about my own twins too much. "...Luke" a whisper escapes my lips.
"Huh?!" The fairy girl yelled out.
"Nothing" I replied, watching as we pass through the city gates. "Aether, you and your sister. If you're looking for her, I will help you, only if you can help me" I ask, ending our walk by a water fountain.
"Help you in what way?" He asks, looking at me with caution in his eyes.
"Hmm...Help me find the one responsible for sending me here. Or at least, as to WHY I'm here..." I ask of him, needing an answer.
"Hold on-you said, someone sent you here, right? They wouldn't happen to be a god now? Right?" He asked, his expression sharpening.
"...This isn't a coincidence? Is it?" I ask, already knowing the answer, but I just need the closure.
"...Wow" Both Aether and his small dwarf friend said at the same time, shocked by the fact that he, and his sister, weren't the only one taken from their world.
"...I guess not" I state, reaching my hand out to pull an apple from a nearby store with the Force. "Now then" I ask as I take a bite from the fruit, "Don't we got somewhere to be?"
Kaeya POV - Mondstadt (KoF Headquarters)
Pacing around the library, I can't help but feel like this isn't over. "Any news of him" I ask one of the knights, still waiting for my minor wounds to heal.
"Nothing, sir. We are still searching-"
"Sir Kaeya! We have something!" Another knight answered, interrupting the first knight as he burst through the doors.
"What is it? Anything of importance?" I ask of him, trying to get things back in order.
"From what various reports can confirm, this...man, had been seen yesterday, by the Old Winds Temple. And another report of him being by Falcon Coast around the same time as the Treasure Hoarders..." He muttered that last part, confused by all these turn of events.
"...So this guy just...came out from nowhere?" I questioned, perplexed by the existence of this strange individual. "All of this...happening at once..." I can only wonder why.
"A witness has also claimed to have seen him-"
"He is here!" Someone else called out, interrupting yet, another knight, this time, Amber.
"The escaped prisoner? The strange man? Are you sure?" I ask of Amber, not trying to have us jump to any conclusions.
"Yeah! Well, not exactly but, I can feel it! It's like...a strange fuzzy feeling! Almost like..." Amber gets lost in a train of thoughts, again.
"...He's here" Lisa spoke up, finishing Amber's sentence. "A strange sensation of power is making my body tingle" She teased, placing a hand on her cheek.
"...Strange power?" I questioned, curious as to what she meant by that.
"Mmmm, it makes me feel fuzzy" Lisa continued "I feel it close by, who this man is, he sure is full of surprises, don't you think?" She chuckled.
"Close by? You don't think he's in the building right now do you?" Amber asked, looking around towards the doors.
"No, but if I had to guess. There is one place I think he might be" I speculated, wanting to be wrong for once.
"...Annnnd that is?" Amber presses for an answer.
"...Wherever Traveler is" I answer, "Wherever the Traveler is, he is there. And both of them are here, somewhere in Mondstadt"
I guess that wraps up Chapter Six, sorry it took so long, work has me busier than usual, plus my other hobbies. For the plot, I'm wondering if I should add in the side quests or not, might make this fanfic a little bit longer. I still have many ideas I want to do, not just continuing this story, but working on other side projects, I'm still trying my best on making this story work. It'll take time, but hopefully it'll be worth it in the end.
