A Blooming Romance
For the past hour since getting home, Danny had been scrubbing his tongue vigorously. He had the kiss Toralie gave him without consent repeating in his mind like a video on loop.
Ok, I know I'm popular with monsters now, but what that girl did was so gross. I don't even like fish! Danny thought in disgust over the girl monster who interfered with his date.
There was a knock at the door.
"Danny? You've been in there for a while now." Jazz was heard.
"I still got that girl's tongue in my mouth." Danny complained as he spat it out.
"You don't stop, you're gonna make your tongue bleed." Jazz was heard criticizing his actions.
"The irony is the taste of blood would be an improvement, all things considered." Danny said before loudly gargling some mouthwash. He took heavy breaths as he wiped his mouth. "I am never getting anywhere close to a cat's mouth again…"
With that, he opened the door and walked out, ignoring the concerned look on Jazz's face.
"You wanna talk about it?" Jazz asks.
"Not really. I mean, I don't regret meeting Clawdeen, but Toralie?" He shuddered.
"Well, who knows? This next date might make this and that Ashley girl you mentioned who interrupted your other date a distant memory." Jazz suggested.
"Right… and maybe she can fly and use magic." Danny muttered sarcastically.
"You dated a werewolf today. And one of your dates, from what you told me, was an alien rock whose body is made of light." Jazz reminded him with a flat expression.
"... true." Danny responded.
"Relax, little brother." Jazz said as she patted his head. "This next one will probably be that good."
Danny rolled his eyes before walking away. All the while, Jazz pondered to herself.
I wonder what kind of person I could meet… She thought.
Danny hopped on his computer and went online to rate Clawdeen.
She's a nice girl and clearly doesn't look down on him for being half-ghost. That said, they literally come from two different worlds. While he's curious to learn more about the monster world, he's not sure how compatible Clawdeen would be with his life, given, by her admission, she's not much of a fighter. So, because she was at least a nice girl, he rated her an 8.
That's when he got his next call.
"Hey dude..." Tucker said.
"Hey, Tuck. So, how was your date today?" Danny asked.
"Not bad, all things considered. I got paired up with a girl named Macie Lightfoot from Sheltered Shrubs and we had a fun time .." Tucker said.
"Cool..." Danny said.
"Yup, thanks How was yours?" Tucker asks.
"I dated a werewolf." Danny said flatly.
"...huh?" Tucker went before Danny went on.
10 minutes later
With that talk about what happened with Clawdeen, even Toralie, done and the call over, Danny looked at the bio for his next date.

He saw where he had to meet her and decided to turn in for the night.
"Hopefully, no one cat-like is going to interfere…" Danny said to himself.
"And yet, everyone knows there will be trouble." BCF said.
NeoMark looked at his watch as if in a hurry.
"Got a date or something?" Deadpool asked.
"Actually, I sent a message to someone for info…" A knock occurred. "And there's the messenger."
Coming in is Flower Princess11.
"Yeah, sorry… couldn't reach him." She said.
"Darn." NeoMark went.
"Who?" Deadpool and BCF asked in unison.
"The guy doing the Musa story. He hasn't updated since December 2020. It looks like he's spending all of his time on another website. But even then, he hasn't updated since last year. Nothing new yet." She explained.
"So, in other words, he might have gone AWOL?" BCF asks.
"Pretty much." FP11 said as she stretched her arms out, having gotten tired.
Deadpool got up and approached her with a caring look in his eyes.
"FP! I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, but don't worry! I'm here for you!" He went in a tone that made it clear he hoped to win her good side.
"DP. I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, but don't worry. I'm still banning chimichangas from the premises until the story's finished." FP muttered sarcastically before walking around him.
Deadpool slouched in defeat upon hearing that.
"So, care to stick around?" NeoMark asks.
"Sure." FP11 said. "So, what's happened since?" She asked as she sat down.
"Penny Proud returned, Kimiko from Xiaolin Showdown was introduced, and Clawdeen just replaced Spectra as his date… the Monster High character, not his villain." Deadpool said before looking at NeoMark. "Yeah, I feel like she's really only here in this take just to make this one joke over and over…"
"I'm glad to hear Penny is back, Kimiko sounds like a cool addition and while I prefer Spectra, Clawdeen is a cool ghoul! I'm glad to hear that they all got along with Danny." FP11 said before a thought came to her. "I also heard you had Katnappe and Toralie Stripe be into him, kissing him without consent."
"Well, I'm not making any of his dates obsessive stalkers like Katie, so I figure I'm making villain girls who interfere do that instead." NeoMark explained.
"I see. Well… next is Musa, right?" FP11 asks.
"Actually… this is the fifth and final character from an existing work that had a different rep." NeoMark said.
"Part of me thought Neo would use the good witch. I forget her name at the moment." BCFW commented.
"Ah, so… who is it? Tecna? Flora? Icy from the Trix? Oh, maybe Diaspro?" FP11 asked with some interest.
"Uh, FP?" Deadpool asks, getting her attention. "No offense, but uh…" Deadpool pointed to the name of the chapter. "Also…" Deadpool pointed to the profile on screen that she just now read.
"Oh…" FP11 said.
"Yeah, so… anyone want some donuts and meat burritos?" Deadpool asks as he pulls some out. "Hurry, before Number Boy notices!"
12:10 PM.
Danny headed towards where he was to meet her for lunch, Café de Fleurs.
Been a while since I've been here with Yuki. Hopefully, Dash and friends aren't here today. He thought.
Danny remained leaning on the wall near the door, nervously awaiting his blind date for the past 10 minutes. He looks around, expecting the worst yet hoping for the best.
"I know this is a weird thing to hope for… but please no cats or cat-related anything…" He said under his breath.
He was so distracted that he didn't see a blue object fly above the café, landing behind a tree in the parking lot. He was too busy waiting for the girl under the pseudonym 'Fiery Bloom'. He looks around anxiously, nervous about the outcome of the date.
He looked down, seeing one show untied.
Darn it… cat or not, gotta make a good first impression. He thought, taking careful steps away from the door so he could get on one knee to tie his shoe.
He failed to see a girl confidently stride towards the restaurant before seeing Danny.
"Excuse me? Are you D-Fenton?" She asks once she's about several inches away from him.
Danny looked to see a pair of feet in yellow sandals before slowly looking up. What he saw made all his concerns disappear as he finally saw his date.
She wore a light teal sweatshirt with a matching teal trim and a pale yellow short-sleeved shirt underneath. She also wore light blue jeans that have stars on the bottom of the legs. Her shoes are yellow wedge-sandals, with no socks to hide her toes.
But it wasn't clothing that caught his attention. He saw she was indeed a stunning redhead, whose hair was a shade of red as fiery as Kim's, a skinny yet tall body, and captivating blue eyes. Simply put, he was stunned by her beauty.
Realizing now what he's doing, Danny quickly stood up and did his best to regain composure.
"HI-" He cleared his throat. "Hi there, that's me. Fanny De-Danny! Danny Fenton!" He went before following that up with a nervous chuckle.
This girl, almost as tall as his mother, smiled down at him.
"I'm Bloom, nice to meet you." She said upon offering her hand.
Danny took her hand with much shyness but tried to play it cool.
"Nice to meet you." He went, shaking it.
"You weren't waiting too long, were you?" Bloom asks, looking a bit concerned.
"Nope! Not at all!" Danny lies as he smiles, still in awe of her beauty.
"That's great." Bloom said. "Also…" She points downward. "Can I have my hand back now?"
Danny looked down to see he was still shaking her hand, pulling back as his face turned as red as her hair.
"Sorry…" He said, looking away with a big smile on his face.
Bloom smiles at this reaction.
He's younger, but he's kinda cute and seems nice… this might be what I need… She thought
"So…" Bloom went before gesturing to the door. "Shall we go?"
Almost instantly, Danny raced to the door and held it open.
"After you." He said graciously, earning a laugh from Bloom.
"Such a gentleman, thank you." Bloom said with a giggle as she bowed before entering.
Danny smiled, watching her walk casually into the restaurant.
All doubts and fears about this date just fizzled out. He thought, still struck by how pretty she is before entering himself.
"What?! Bloom?! The character people EXPECTED to be in the original?!" Deadpool asks in sarcasm.
Flower Princess11 glared at him for that crack before hearing a groan from BCF.
"You okay?" She asks.
"I lost a bet. The short version: I wasn't sure Bloom would be picked, so there was a bet. I lost, and now have to pay for a meal at one of Gordon Ramsey's restaurants." BCF said.
"I know of those places, pretty pricey." FP11 said.
"Too bad it's not Buca Di Beppo on a weekend." NeoMark said.
"Those prices would kill you." Deadpool said.
"Well, at least I finally get to see how the date with Bloom would have turned out." BCF said.
"If I recall, you picked Musa over Bloom because Bloom was the more expected pick, right?" Deadpool asks FP11.
"Right. I also picked her because she was one of my favorite fairies and she and Riven did break up." FP11 responded.
"I mean, no offense to people who did ship him with Musa… but that's a small amount." Deadpool said.
"Yeah, I totally get what you were getting at FP11. Doing my own take, which I'm slowly realizing I shouldn't have made an alternate universe still set in the same time as the original as there have been recent characters I could've used, it always helps to throw a curveball. I used Yuki Kusakabe, Sakura Kasugano and Kula Diamond, characters I'm sure you weren't expecting." NeoMark said.
"No, but I'm not too familiar with fighting games or many slice of life anime like those. Not that I have anything against them. I suppose that's the benefit of someone doing their own take, using characters I'd never expect." FP11 said.
"Exactly." NeoMark said.
"I sense a but coming…" FP11 said before her expression became less humorous. "One T, not two."
Deadpool, who was about to point at his posterior, slouched in defeat. BCFW silently laughed as he listened
"… but Bloom wasn't just the more popular choice, she was also kind of the better choice." NeoMark said.
"You think so?" FP11 asks.
"Yeah, as Rian Johnson showed us unintentionally… sometimes it's better to just give people what they expected and wanted instead of subverting it." Deadpool said.
"She lived on Earth most of her life, so she's closer to home. Plus, no offense to Musa fans… but I personally think Bloom has a lot more interesting things going on with her." NeoMark said.
"I take it right now, in this fic, she's rightfully angry at a certain prince for lying. Though it's been a while, I remember bits here and there." BCFW said.
"Well, I stand by my choice in Musa, but I'm curious to see how this one goes." FP11 said.
"Alrighty… let's see what we gots." Deadpool went. "10 bucks says Bloom kisses Danny!" Deadpool went.
"I'm not falling for that bet again." FP11 said.
"Okay… 50 says they kiss on the lips at least twice?" Deadpool asks.
"I'll take a piece of that action!" BCF went.
"You sure about that? You just lost a bet." NeoMark said.
"It's from my secret stash." BCF said.
"Okay…now it's getting interesting. $100 and footing the lunch bill says no other girl kisses him here, as I'd rather his dates do that." FP11 said.
"You're on!" Deadpool went eagerly.
Inside the café
The waiter took the two to their table. There, Danny pulled the chair out for Bloom before she could reach it.
"Why thank you." Bloom said.
Once she sat down, Danny took his own seat, pulling his chair up as he leaned into the table with one elbow to look suave.
However, after a second, his confident smile slowly melted into a smaller one that hid his insecurities.
Oh my gosh… She is so hot! What do I do? What do I say?! He thought.
"So… Bloom?" Danny asks.
"Yes?" Bloom responded.
Ask if she wants to talk! Ask if she wants to talk! He thought.
"Before our orders get taken…" He started before he paused.
"Yeah?"
ASK IF SHE WANTS TO TALK, YOU IDIOT!
"We should probably converse about a topic regarding our lives, likes and dislikes and the compatibility of our personalities." He said quickly in a formal manner.
GAAAAHHHH! YOU IDIOT! NOW SHE'S GONNA THINK YOU'RE A TOTAL-
"Okay, sure." Bloom responded with a smile.
"Okay." Danny said.
Oh thank goodness… His mind went in relief.
"So… uh… ladies first?" Danny went.
"Well… I guess we'll start with family. Who do you live with?" Bloom asks.
"Oh, well, my parents and my big sister." Danny said.
"Huh… you have a sister? Neat. I wish I had a sister." Bloom said.
"Heh… you might rethink that if it were Jazz." Danny joked.
"Her name's Jazz? That's a neat name." Bloom said politely.
"It's short for Jasmine. So, who do you live with?" Danny asks.
"My parents." Bloom said before looking a bit unsure to say the next thing.
"Something wrong?" Danny asks.
"Well… no. It's fine, not important." Bloom said, waving her hand dismissively.
"Oh, okay?" Danny went before speaking up. "So, how about school? I go to Casper High, here in Amity Park."
"Oh… I go to…umm… well…" Bloom paused, eyes darting around to figure out what to say.
"Umm Well? That's an interesting school name." Danny joked, earning a small laugh from Bloom.
"Oh no… it's called Alfea, it's a… boarding school, not in Gardenia, where I live." Bloom went hurriedly.
"Oh, how far is it from home?" Danny asks.
"Umm… I have to… fly there." Bloom said with a nervous smile on her face.
"Oh? With a name like that, is it in a place like Italy?" Danny jokingly asks.
"Might as well be." Bloom said under her breath.
"So, any friends?" Danny asks.
"Yes, I made 4 really great friends. There's Stella, she's the fashionista of our little group. Tecna, the smart one who could probably take over the tech market if she feels like it. Flora, she loves plants and is a total sweetheart. Then there's Musa, who's having a bit of a tiff with her boyfriend. In fact, I know she has a date right now." Bloom answered.
"She's doing this service?" Danny asks.
"Well, to be clear, she and Riven are in the "see other people" phase where they see whether or not they want to get back together." Bloom explained.
"Oh, I see…" Danny said.
"Y-Yeah…" Bloom said, looking a bit uncomfortable before clearing her throat. "And you? Your friends?"
"Sam and Tucker. They've been my best friends since I was little." Danny said.
"That so?" Bloom asks, interested to hear more.
As they were talking, they had no idea someone was watching from outside.
"Can you see him?" Paulina was heard asking.
"I see him…" Kwan said.
As it turns out, Dash and friends were spying on Danny from outside.
"Soon as he's out, I'll pound him for getting us in trouble with this place." Dash said with a growl as he pointed his fist into his hand.
"Actually, it looks like they just got there." Kwan said before seeing one waiter was looking in his direction. "Uh oh… the waiter spotted us." Kwan went.
"Not good, we gotta go." Dash said as he looked inside and saw who Danny was with. "Hey… you said you thought that was his sister, but that's not Jazz! Her hair is too warm and she's too tall!" Dash went.
"Forget that! They're gonna call the cops on us! Let's go!" Paulina insisted as she motioned them to follow. "My papa doesn't know I'm here and I'm not supposed to be!"
With that, all of them ran for it, passing by a young woman who had long white hair in a ponytail and wore a light-blue, tank top, a darker blue miniskirt with a thin diamond-studded belt that hangs over it from her waist, and knee-high, bright blue, high-heeled boots.
"Watch it, lowly nobodies!" She snapped at them.
Paulina stopped in her tracks, glaring hatefully at her.
"What was that, little Miss Granny Hair?" Paulina questioned angrily.
Dash pushed her aside to come close to hit on the girl.
"Hey babe. Ya like quarterbacks?" He asks while flexing.
"I'd like you to get lost before I make you see what your stomach looks like up close and personal." She said with a snarl.
Dash was undaunted, trying to hit on her more when Kwan pulled his arm.
"Dash! Not now!" Kwan insisted as he pulled Dash with enough force to make him lose his footing.
As the A-List ran for it, the young woman groaned as she used some kind of mirror. She snarled at it.
"I can't find her. This place's ghosts leave behind so much spectral energy that it's hard to pinpoint anything else." She said as she kept walking.
Little did she know, someone was above, looking down at the café with evil intention from a building overlooking it.
"Ah, so he's in there." Skulker said with a grin, using a pair of binoculars to see what's inside. He sees the green energy emitting from Danny. "Now…I should wait for him to eat, no fun defeating him on an empty stomach." His vision went to who Danny was with, making his grin fade. "Wait a minute…" He saw a blue aura, matching Danny's green aura, coming from Bloom. "What's this? She's emitting a different energy than him. She must be some new ally he's reaching out to. Still… I'll add her pelt to my collection as well." He said before he noticed the food on another's table. "Maybe I should get a bite before he's finished."
"10 bucks says Icy, who that obviously is, kisses Danny." Deadpool was heard saying.
"Who are you talking to?" NeoMark asks as he turns his head.
"Not you guys, I'm speaking out loud what I'm typing." Deadpool was revealed to be texting. "It's with Number Boy."
"What's taking him? I thought he'd be here by now." BCFW said, adjusting his glasses.
"Seriously? FP11 asks.
"How old is Icy supposed to be? Same age as Bloom or older?" NeoMark asks.
"I always assumed she was a year older." FP11 said.
"Ah, well, even so, good thing Danny's got a better head on his shoulders than Dash." NeoMark said.
With Danny and Bloom
The two's meal was halfway finished, both still talking with each other.
"Astronaut, eh? That does sound like a job with some perks." Bloom said.
"Yup. Like a little peace and quiet." Danny said.
"Plus, a closer look at those heavenly bodies." Bloom said as she took a sip of her water.
Not as heavenly as the one I'm with now… He thought, still admiring her.
"For all I know, I'm gonna end up on a satellite with snarky robots, watching cheesy public domain sci-fi movies." Danny joked.
"Huh?" Bloom asks as she puts her drink down.
"Oh… uh… I was referencing Mystery Sci- never mind." Danny said, realizing she's not aware what that is.
"I...see." Bloom responded.
Dork… don't lose her interest! He thought.
"So, what about you, Bloom? What are your plans?" Danny asks.
"Well… I'm not too sure yet. Maybe… an artist or at least an art teacher?" She responded.
"That sounds… like a good idea." Danny said.
"Thank you. My boyfriend sure d-" Bloom then realized what she just said.
Danny paused. His heart suddenly broke in two.
"Boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?!" He asks.
"NO!" Bloom went. "Well… yes? Sort of?" She saw Danny slowly start to get up. "Wait! Just let me explain! I promise I won't ask for anything else!" She went quickly.
Danny, though feeling genuinely betrayed, saw the sincerity in her eyes and decided to calm down.
"Okay… you have less than 10 minutes to tell me why you're going on blind dates if you have a boyfriend. If I don't like what I hear… I'm leaving." Danny warned.
His attraction towards Bloom took a back seat, as he did not like the idea of being lied to and he was no cheater.
"Well… to make a long story short… his name is technically Sky, but I knew him as Brandon." Bloom started.
"So, fake name guy?" Danny asks.
"Yes but that's not it. See? I won't deny I really liked him… then I found out he was engaged to some snooty girl." Bloom.
"Oh, so he's some preppy kid with a rich family?" Danny asks.
"Something like that…" Bloom said sheepishly.
"And… you two broke up?" Danny asks.
"We did. Then we got back together… Then we had another nasty fight. I'm also on the "meet other people" phase my friend Musa's in. That's why I joined, to clear my head and follow Stella's suggestion that I don't have to expect a relationship, just some fun." Bloom explained.
"I see…" Danny said, his face showing no emotion.
Bloom sat there, thinking he was judging her, thinking she's a cheater like her technically ex-boyfriend. Because of this, she slouched in her seat.
"So… I guess this is it, huh? End of the date?" Bloom asks.
To her surprise, Danny only smiled.
"No."
"Huh?" Bloom asks as she straightens in her seat.
"Sounds to me like your friend has a point. If this guy was cheating on you, or more accurately cheating on this other girl with you, that's not really a good sign. Maybe… maybe I can… get your mind off him? I mean, I'm younger than you, but I'm willing to try if you'll let me." Danny said sympathetically.
While part of him is upset she hid this, he could see that she has some relationship issue she wants to avoid. Not to mention, if this Sky is still having a fight with her, and Danny is able to impress Bloom enough, she might fall for him instead. Selfish, perhaps, but he at least thinks she should be with someone who wouldn't do any cheating.
"Well… okay then." Bloom said, a small smile on her face. "What do you have in mind?"
"How about dessert?" Danny asks, gesturing to the menu.
"What a shocker, Danny's into another redhead. His author here is using him as a stand-in to date the kind of girls he wishes he dates in real life." Deadpool went mockingly, intentionally getting on NeoMark's ire.
"Stop it…" NeoMark growled a warning.
"Do you actually have a thing for redheads or is it just a coincidence?" FP11 asks.
"Last I heard, Deadpool quipped how you had a crush on a redhead years ago." BCFW commented, eyeing the mouthy merc.
Everyone could see the smile under Deadpool's mask.
"To use my IRL self for a moment here, I'm actually more into blondes." NeoMark explains.
"Which is how I found out about his unhealthy obsession with almost every blonde actress from Power Rangers." Deadpool said before stage whispering to the two guest authors. "Guess what he thinks about the girl from SPD?"
NeoMark responded by tackling him into the floor.
"Cut to the story! Cut to the story!"
FP11 and BCF couldn't help but crack a smile at this example of hysterical fighting.
After Lunch
Danny had brought Bloom to one of his favorite spots. It's a place he likes to go to during slow days, when it's just him.
"Amity Park has an observatory?" Bloom asked.
"Yup, I come here a lot. Given how much I love space, it's a place I like to come to when my friends are busy..." Danny explained.
"It does look cool." Bloom said with a smile.
"Come on in..." Danny said as they entered.
Once inside, Danny gave her his own personal tour. He showed her his favorite telescope, his favorite spots to watch, and gave her some more personal stories of his time here.
"It wasn't until closing time did my parents realize I was here. Long story short, that was the first of many times I realized my dad forgetting their anniversary was a sign I should be out of the house on that day." Danny explained.
"Well… your folks seem very… open." Bloom said, trying not to sound as insulting as possible.
"I know you're trying not to upset me, but don't worry, I'm used to it." Danny said.
"You are?" Bloom asks, looking away from the telescope to speak with him more.
"Yeah. I kind of get it a lot from school. My folks kind of… attract trouble thanks to their work." Danny said before realizing he's giving away too much.
"What exactly do they do to make people not like them?" Bloom asks out of curiosity.
"Oh… they're… uh…" Danny tried to think of a way to answer her.
Exterminators? That's a close enough answer to be believable. Danny thought.
"They're exterminators." Danny answered her.
"For ghosts?" Bloom asks.
Danny's smile dropped.
"Huh?" Danny asks.
"I kind of did some research about this town before I came. I heard about the ghosts… and heard your last name from two people the news warned about." Bloom said.
"You… you knew the whole time?" Danny asks, sweating bullets.
"Yeah, but that didn't bother me." Bloom said.
"It didn't?" Danny asks.
"No. You weren't the only one hiding something, remember?" Bloom asks.
"True…" Danny said.
"And in all honesty, I actually like spending time with you." Bloom said as she smiled and leaned into the railing.
"You do?" Danny asks, feeling his spirits raise.
"Yeah." Bloom said with a bigger smile. "In fact… I wanna ask you something…"
"What is it?" Danny asks with a calm smile, though his mind was asking something else.
Please say you want me to be your boyfriend… please say you want me to be your boyfriend… His mind asks rather excitedly.
"Do you wanna be friends?" She asks.
GAH! Wait! Friends are good! That at least means she wants me around… His mind went.
"Sure." Danny said.
As they began exchanging contact information, Bloom decided to voice her thoughts.
"You know… you're my youngest date but you're also so far the best one." She said.
Danny's head raised quickly.
"REALLY?! I mean… really?" Danny asks, trying to downplay his excitement from hearing that.
Bloom giggled, showing she knew full well how interested he was in her.
"You're not fooling me, by the way. I've seen the look on your face from past dates, like Ron, Ben and this one guy named Jonesy who I really did not like. But, the first two were at least trying. When I mentioned Sky, they were pretty awkward about it. But… you're taking it slightly more maturely than them." Bloom said.
"I'm not that mature." Danny responded with a laugh.
"But you are. They tried to be nice about it, but also tried to keep their distance. I'm actually not bothered with you trying to win me over, but instead of some grand thing like Jonesy or Heath, who both tried to butter me up and buy me nice things, you take me to a place you like to come to when you wanna destress or just enjoy your time. And, to be honest, I wasn't sure about it but I think it's kind of a neat place to come to." Bloom said.
"Really?" Danny asks, feeling his face go warm.
"Yeah. I guess… of the 25 I've had so far, you're actually pretty great compared to the rest." Bloom said.
"Even compared to Sky?" Danny asks with genuine curiosity.
"Heheh… let's not push it, but I'm sure you'd be able to hold your own with him." Bloom said.
"Hold… my own? What? Is he on the wrestling team or something?" Danny jokingly asks.
"Not so much wrestling. But still, if I'm right, you can handle it." Bloom said.
"Handle it?" Danny asks.
However, before Bloom could answer him, something happened. A crash was heard, alarming the observatory and shocking Bloom and Danny.
Oh no...what now? Both Bloom and Danny thought simultaneously.
Once the dust cleared up, three girls wearing strange costumes appeared, and each of them had nasty grins on their faces.
"What?" Danny questioned, trying to question who these girls he's never seen before are, only to be pushed as Bloom started to run away.
"You, I mean, we better hide..." She said..
Soon the trio of girls started destroying the place, causing everyone else to run out screaming.
"Come on out! You can't hide from us, you worthless fairy! We know that you are here!" The white haired girl shouted as she sent an ice blast around, while the other two did electric or storm-like attacks, destroying the nearby telescopes.
"Fairy?" Danny questioned.
Before he could think about it more, his ghost sense went off.
Like three weird hot looking girls doing magic wasn't enough? 'Danny thought in frustration as he and Bloom continued to run for it.
His questioning of who it was was soon answered when he heard their voice.
"COME ON OUT, WHELP!" A familiar ghost heard.
Between Ember, Technus, Undergrowth… I guess it was a matter of time before he showed up… Danny thought in irritation.
Skulker appeared with blasters ready, only to stop when he saw the Trix and the destruction they were causing.
"Hmm… witches? I hadn't added one of those to my collection of pelts." Skulker openly thought out loud, only to be hit by an ice blast.
The evil hunter turned around and soon saw the trio of girls on the grounds, each one looking annoyed at his presence.
"Hey, get lost metalhead, this is our ambush!" Icy shouted.
Skulker gritted his teeth in rage.
"What's wrong? Does the wannabe threat think he can take on the Trix?" Stormy questioned with mocking sympathy.
"WANNABE?! I am Skulker, Ghost Zone's greatest hunter! I will not be insulted by spellcasters going by the name of a cereal!" Skulker shouted.
"We're not named after a cereal! Now get lost! We got a fairy to destroy here!" Darcy shouted as she even sent a blast that sent Skulker into a wall.
"I see you're powerful witches! I have been wanting to hunt magic users for a long time." Skulker said as he fired missiles at them, which they managed to dodge.
One missile, however, was shot by Icy, causing it to redirect to a wall.
Danny and Bloom were fortunate as to not reach that wall in time as the explosion was several feet away from them, knocking them both back. Bloom got up in time and helped Danny up.
"Let's go." Bloom insisted.
As they passed the hole made, Danny looked back and saw Icy, who briefly glanced in the direction of the two.
"Fairy!" She shouted.
Danny heard this and blinked at what that one of the strange girls said.
"Fairy?" Danny questioned and couldn't help but notice that Bloom looked nervous.
"Let's... Let's get out of here...before they see and… try and attack again..." Bloom said.
Danny couldn't help but notice that Bloom didn't look like she was worried for her safety.
Before he could ask, a stray missile nearly hit them and reminded them of the danger. Thankfully, he saw the restrooms far ahead.
"Bloom! Go hide there. I'll go...uh...call help..." Danny lied.
"Yeah, good idea..." She said as they both separated.
Once she was gone, Danny made sure no one else was there before nodding.
"I'm goin' ghost!" He called out, morphing and ready to stop the danger.
Unaware that his date was having her own idea.
Back to Skulker and the Trix
Skulker fired another rocket, only for it to be blasted by Darcy.
"We're not here for you! We're here for the fairy! As soon as I was able to pinpoint her location once most of the spectral interference got in the way, we came all this way to mess with her!" Icy shouted.
"Ah, so that creature I spotted was a fairy. I'm adding 5 pelts to my trophy room!" Skulker said victoriously before a blast of green energy shot him in the back, sending him crashing near the Trix.
"Guess again, metalhead!" Danny was heard shouting.
The Trix sees him for the first time, the ghostly superhero who now hovered behind where Skulker stood.
"Is that… What's his name? Davey Specter?" Darcy asks absentmindedly.
"I think it's Dewey Spooky." Stormy said.
"It's Danny Phantom, idiots." Icy responded with a conveniently icy glare.
"Right… what the silver-haired one said." Danny said before clearing his throat. "So… what can I do to make you lovely ladies leave?"
"You could tell us where the fairy is!" Icy demanded, her fists glowing blue.
"Fairy? What are you talking about?" Danny asks with arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.
"Don't play dumb! We sensed she was here!" Icy shouted.
"Maybe he doesn't know her?" Darcy suggests.
"As soon as she was here, I sensed two entities. The metalhead and him, he was the closest I could pick up with my locator spell." Icy insisted.
"Maybe it was a coincidence?" Darcy suggests.
"It must be, because I have no idea what you're talking about." Danny responded.
That's when Skulker got back up and backhanded Icy out of his way, knocking her down.
"He speaks the truth!" Skulker shouted as he grabbed the other two by the arms before they could cast spells. "He has no idea he's been around her the entire time!" He then swung the two out of the way.
"What are you talking about?" Danny asks.
"I'd say you'll find out soon enough… " Skulker took aim with his rocket launcher. "... but you won't!"
Before Skulker could fire, someone hit him from above with a blast of fire, exploding the rockets and launching him back.
"Huh?" Danny went.
"That was close..." Bloom's voice was heard.
Danny turned around and his eyes widened when he saw who helped him.
"Wow..." He said, blushing so hard that he may as well be on fire.
He saw the girl he had been dating, with the fiery red hair and striking blue eyes. However, her outfit was different, magical was the word. If he thought Bloom was beautiful before, her new outfit accentuated it with a more revealing attire. It had the same blue coloring, except more sparkly with her top now sleeveless with the bottom edge rising up to show more of her stomach while covering her chest to the cup and a tear-shaped jewel on her collar with a mini-skirt with mini-slits on the side. She had matching blue bracers and heeled boots, and on her head was a small gold crown. She was just as beautiful, only now in a more revealing outfit.
"Are you okay?" Bloom asks as she flies closer to Danny.
It took a moment for Danny's blush to fade as he snapped out of it.
"Y-Yeah. Thanks… Bl-uh, miss." Danny said before realizing something. "Wait… you are the fair- I mean, are you… th-"
"A fairy? Yeah. That's me. What do you think?" She asks, gesturing to her outfit.
Danny's eyes went down to her exposed legs.
"Beautiful…"He uttered before clearing his throat. "I mean… looks… perfect for summer. Heh…" He went, trying to hide his awe of her.
"Aww… thanks, Danny." Bloom said.
"No problem." Danny went before realizing something. "Wait, you know my name?"
"Of course, I've heard of Danny Phantom." She said with a wink.
As Danny felt his face go warm again, the Trix got back up.
"There's that little Winx wimp!" Icy snarled.
"Ugh… Icy!" Bloom went, rolling her eyes and glaring down at her. "Don't you have anything better to do?"
"Not really. Messing with fairies is a favorite pastime of mine! Now, feel the freeze!" Icy shouted as she fired her magic.
"Bloom!" Danny called out, pushing her out of the way and raising a ghost shield to save her.
"Thanks." Bloom said with a sweet smile.
"Sure." Danny said, blushing hard.
Skulker got back up and snarled.
"Well... I have to work off that sandwich I had that made me late for the hunt anyway..." He declared as he readied his arm cannon and took aim.
"I got Skulker, Bloom! You handle... those three." Danny said seriously.
"On it." Bloom said as she flew into action.
Danny steeled himself for Skulker before a thought came to him.
"Wait a minute... she didn't question me knowing her name?" A blast from Skulker's arm cannon knocked him through the roof. "Okay... worry about that later."
Skulker phased through the roof, firing his cannon at Danny.
"Your new mate will join you in my trophy case if it's any consolation!" Skulker threatened.
Hearing his threatening of Bloom got Danny's blood to boil as he flew in to get up close and personal.
With Bloom
The fairy of fire found herself surrounded by the three witches, all of whom got closest with intent to do harm.
"Time for payback, Fairy!" Icy said.
"Once were done, we'll find your friends!" Darcy said, glaring at her.
"We'll see about that!" Bloom said with much determination in her voice.
Bloom soon fired a fire blast at the trio of witches, while Icy and her cohorts sent blasts of their own respective elements.
The attacks canceled each other, which irritated the leader of the Trix.
"You're making my blood boil!" Icy shouted.
"That's not the only thing I'm boiling!" Bloom said as she waves her hand to make the water from the ice she melted from Icy's attack to heat up and become a mist.
"URRRGGGHHHH!" Ivy shouted as the mist made it hard to see.
"Three against one is tough, I need help to even the odds." Bloom said as she flew out to get help from Danny.
"I hope you don't mind but I mostly used season one as a reference for the fights." NeoMark said.
"I see." FP11 said.
"Good thing you got magic and stuff happening." Deadpool said.
"Why's that?" FP11 said.
"Swinging arms and stuff without the cool imagery? It'd be like they were playing XBOX Kinect… but with slightly more dignity." Deadpool answered.
"I only vaguely know what that is." FP11 said.
"Good." Deadpool said.
"Though Child of Eden was a good game." BCFW said.
With Danny
Danny swung his arm and fired a crescent wave of energy that Skulker sped up to go over it.
"You'll have to do better than that!" Skulker said as he readied his arm blade.
Danny split in two to avoid the swipe, reforming into one to kick Skulker in the back.
"How's that?!" Danny asks with a grin.
Skulker turned around and readied another attack before a blast of fire shot him further into the air. Turning his head, Danny saw Bloom flying towards him.
"I'm afraid all three at once is too much for me. I'm open to suggestions." Bloom said.
Darting from Skulker to the oncoming Trix, Danny thought fast before an idea sprung.
"Okay girls! We surrender!" Danny went to the witches, making them stop in surprise.
"Huh?!" They went.
Skulker, who was able to recover, overheard that.
"Come again?" He questioned with much irritation as there was insult.
"What?!" Bloom went before looking at Danny. "What are you doing?"
"Play along." He whispered to her before looking back at the Trix. "That's right! We give up!"
"Heh… wonderful." Icy said with a nasty grin as she and the other Trix readied their magic. "Any last words before you pay for making the smart choice?!"
"Yeah, a few. Namely, how it was three pretty girls, but not as pretty as this one, who took me down and NOT that idiot metalhead, Skulker!" Danny said out loud with a smile.
"What?!" Skulker asks, straightening himself.
"Yeah! That loser clearly doesn't compare to you three! You took me down so easily, that means you're way more dangerous than him!" Danny continued, clearly saying this to get Skulker riled up.
And it worked.
"NO!" Skulker shouted viciously as he sped past Danny and Bloom and went straight for the Trix. "Danny Phantom's pelt is mine and mine alone!"
"What the-" Icy started before she, Darcy and Stormy were now in the line of a barrage of missiles from Skulker.
As Skulker fought the Trix, the two above them watched. One was confused while the other had his arms crossed and looked pleased his plan worked.
"Huh?" Bloom asks upon seeing his look before, while glancing at the battle below, finally realizing it. "Oh… you wanted to make Skull-guy there get riled up so he gets upset about losing you to the Trix and he'd do the fighting for us."
"Yup." Danny went with a wink and a snap of his fingers that led to pointing at Bloom.
"That's actually clever." Bloom said.
Skulker's hand turned into a type of stun gun as he aimed at Stormy.
"This is where you leave!" He ordered.
"No, this is where you learn not to mess with us!" Stormy said as she used her magic to send a mini thunderstorm in his direction.
Once Skulker was hit, he flew the two above. Seeing the Trix were now coming towards them, Bloom metaphorically stood her ground in the air.
"Think they weakened enough?" She asks.
"One way to find out!" Danny said as he pulled his hands back to ready some energy, a grin appearing on his face. "I have so been wanting to say this since Sakura introduced me to Ken Masters and the snippets of Ryu I could find." A smile appeared on his face. "Now's a good time to do it!"
"Do what?" Bloom asks, curious what he's talking about.
Icy sped up faster than the rest as she got closer to Bloom.
"Now, Bloom! Prepare to freeze down to th-"
She was too late as Danny did what he wanted to do so badly.
"HA-DO-KEN!" Danny shouted, making sure he practiced pronouncing it right in case he sees Sakura again, given her reaction to how he mispronounced Ryu.
"OOF!" Icy went as the ghostly Hadoken launched her away by several feet. "You little-" Icy went before Danny came in close.
"Shoryuken!" Danny went, uppercutting her with so much force to launch her upward.
Darcy and Stormy gasp in shock as Bloom smiles happily.
"You little pest!" Icy shouted angrily. Once he got close, she grabbed him by the next tightly. "I'm going to freeze you and break you into little pi-"
Danny split from his lower half, and that second half did another move he saw a World Warrior do.
"Tatsumaki Senpyukyaku!" The other Danny went as she spun like a whirlwind with his leg out, kicking Icy repeatedly in the side to make her let go of the real Danny.
"ACK!" Icy shouted in anger.
The two Dannys reformed into one.
"You have no idea how many times I had to practice that line!" Danny went with a smile before charging a blast and fired at Icy, sending her far away.
Darcy and Stormy stare in disbelief before looking at each other and then to Danny, who looked at them with a smirk like he was ready to do the same to them.
"Uh… y'know… I think we've seen enough of this town." Darcy went, recognizing they may have used up more magic than expected.
"Right… we'll leave." Stormy said as the flew in the direction of Icy.
Danny crossed his arms and looked relieved to see them go.
All the while, Bloom looked at him from behind, smiling.
Hmm...not bad. He is stronger than I expected. She thought, impressed with him.
Icy finally was able to get herself upright from the blast as she shook her head in anger.
"That little…" She growled in anger.
Darcy and Stormy caught up with her, taking her by the arms.
"We gotta go!" Stormy went.
"What?!" Icy questioned angrily.
"That boy is clearly tougher than we expected him to be." Darcy said.
Icy growled before taking a deep breath.
"Fine… I wasted time on that metalhead and not used to someone like that Phantom punk…" She growled.
"Maybe we should take some time off? I found a flier for some dating service in this town." Darcy said.
"Not just this town, but around this country." Stormy added.
"Ugh… fine…" Ice said as the three used their remaining magic to leave.
Danny, not knowing what they were talking about, looked relieved to see them go.
"YOU'RE ALL MINE!" Skulker shouted, getting Danny's attention as he flew towards them.
Before Danny could do anything, Bloom stepped in, firing magic once Skulker was close enough.
"Take that!" She shouted as Skulker's lower half was destroyed, much to her shock. "OH NO!" Bloom panicked before seeing sparks and exposed wires coming.
"That's a cybersuit he's wearing. Still, thanks." Danny said as he flew past her and fired the Thermos at Skulker.
"No! NOOO!" Skulker shouted as he's trapped inside the Thermos.
"And that…" Danny sealed the Thermos. "...is that."
Once that was all done, Danny found himself in the air, alone with Bloom.
"Nice going, Danny." She said with a smile.
"Thanks, Bloom." Danny responded.
It took seconds for him to notice what he just said, but also that Bloom didn't seem to react to it.
Feeling his face get warmer in her presence, he laughed nervously.
Why is she looking at me like that? Not that I want her to stop. He thought.
"Something wrong?" She asks knowingly.
"So… I'm noticing you're not going "Gee, how does this person I've never met before know my name?" right now and… well… I'm guessing you figured there's a good explanation for that." He said quickly with a shrug.
"Oh? And what's that?" She asks with her arms crossed and a playful smile.
Danny froze up, his smile hiding his inability to think of a proper answer.
"... good question. It's… a power I have. One most people don't realize…" Bloom kept staring at him knowingly. "... it's… mind reading! I mean… future vision! Yeah! I can see the future… and saw you'd need my help and I picked up your name before… you actually tell me? It… comes and goes… an-"
"It's okay, Danny." Bloom went with a hand up, finding his attempt to explain himself too adorable to make fun of. "I know it's you."
"Right… Danny Pha-"
"Fenton." Bloom said.
Danny gasped loudly.
"How'd you- I mean, how do you know? … pretty girl I just met moments ago?" He asks, trying to hide his voice by sounding macho.
"I first realized it at the café when we shook hands. I sort of… felt something off about you. I didn't pay too much attention to it at first, but it felt like an odd blend of natural and unnatural. I knew it couldn't be magic since you didn't seem to sense my powers or anything to suggest you knew magic. When I realized who your parents were from the news, I figure you might have some kind of connection with ghosts. Plus, no offense, but Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom sound way too similar." Bloom said.
"You'd be surprised how few people pick that up." Danny responded. "But that still doesn't mean-"
"But then I saw your reaction to me, almost the same reaction when we met, and you questioned me for being a fairy when you saw me like this too. And the fact that you knew my name so soon sealed it in my mind." Bloom answered him.
"Wow… beautiful and smart…" Danny commented.
Hearing him compliment her made Bloom giggle, though Danny blushed at how he couldn't stop himself from saying that.
"Right… so… shall we… try to understand each other's… situation?" Bloom asks, gesturing to herself and him.
"Darn it! I lost my bet!" Deadpool shouted in anger.
In the sky
Danny and Bloom were currently flying together.
The two were having fun in the clouds, enjoying their solitude in the air and getting to know each other better.
"I'm not sure where Danielle is now, but I'm hoping she's okay..." Danny said as he was ahead of her.
"I'm sure wherever she is, she's doing just fine if she was made from you..." Bloom said.
"Thanks, Bloom, I appreciate hearing that…" He said as he looked back and smiled.
He had agreed to be in the front as to assure he won't look up her skirt from afar. He didn't mind, it was her eyes he wanted to look at more.
"So, you really got your powers from a lab accident? You're not magic?" Bloom asked to be sure.
"Pretty much..." Danny said.
"Good to know." Bloom said with a nod, making sure she heard every word correctly.
"So, you really were a fairy raised on Earth and you don't know where you're from yet?" Danny asked.
"Yup. I'll find out someday..." Bloom said with a confident look in her eyes.
"When did you find out?" Danny asks.
"I was home for a week's vacation when I learned I was adopted. After that, I decided to dedicate myself to someday finding out where my birth parents are..." She added
Danny nodded upon hearing that. This young woman had a dedication to finding where she came from and learning why she ended up where she did. He sympathizes with her, but also admires her strength. She wasn't just beautiful, she was strong. It made his attraction towards her stronger.
Danny decided to change the subject to something less serious.
"Hey Bloom, you wanna see who can fly the fastest?" Danny asked.
Bloom considered it and smiled.
"Sure, sounds like fun..." She said.
"First to get to the clouds above the mountains over there wins." Danny said, pointing ahead. "One, two, three… go!"
The two began to fly as fast as they could. Danny looked to his left and saw Bloom was keeping up with him.
His smile widened with eagerness.
I could briefly fly faster than a space shuttle. So let's see how well she does against me. He thought before speeding up.
"So, am I to keep up with you or should I win?" Bloom asks playfully.
"Win, obviously." Danny said.
"If I win, will you buy me ice cream?" Bloom asks.
"Sure…" Danny said with a playful smile as he soon took off at 17,500 mph.
"Okay!" Bloom went cheerfully before, to Danny's shock, she suddenly flew past him.
It took a second before he realized it, but Bloom just flew at speeds he's never dealt with before. Danny braked in the air, seeing Bloom just outdid his best speed feet almost instantly. His jaw hung as he saw this beautiful fairy not only reach the cloud, but flew through it in the amount of time it took for him to blink two times.
"No way… she flew faster than me?!" He questioned out loud as he tried to do calculations in his head.
Okay, I'm bad at math, but I know space shuttles fly at speeds of 17,500 mph, based on what few science facts I remember, that's like over 20 times the speed of sound. So… for her to go that fast… she'd have to be flying like… closer to the speed of light! He thought in shock.
"Is that true? She's speed of light fast?" FP11 asks.
"Well, most research I get is that the Winx are capable of interplanetary travel, so that should be at least lightspeed." NeoMark said.
"Given the fact they are magical beings, it could do less with speed, and more magic..." BCFW paced in a circle. "Perhaps-"
"No one cares, Fuzzy! We're going back to the story!" Deadpool yelled.
Bloom, upon reaching the other side of the cloud, panted heavily with a smile.
"That was fun… I forget I should not use up so much power in flying so fast, I gotta conserve it. Still, that was fun…" She said to herself as her breathing started to calm down.
As she did, she had a hand to her chest and took in some air.
I've never had this much fun before with my powers, not even with the girls or Sky… I guess he's not just cute… She thought, realizing she's gained a fondness for Danny.
Peeking through the hole she made, she could see Danny starting to catch up with her.
Bloom got an idea of her own.
"I'll hide and surprise him with a little thanks for all the fun we've had..." She said mischievously.
She hid inside the cloud as Danny flew through.
"Bloom?! That was awesome!" He went, excited to have seen what she could do. He then saw she was missing. "Bloom?"
"Surprise!" Bloom was heard saying from behind as she closed her eyes and puckered her lips.
The fairy tried to plant a kiss on his cheek to surprise the ghost kid, however, Danny accidentally turned his head in time. Because of that, Bloom kissed his lips instead.
Both of them had their eyes widened.
Oh my goodness! Bloom thought, embarrassed as she froze in place.
Danny was stunned and blushing hard, unable to think as Bloom was kissing him.
Time froze for him, the world ceased to exist, not even any thought crossed his mind as Danny was being kissed by Bloom. After a moment, Bloom decided to go with it and close her eyes, pressing her lips onto his even further until he kissed back.
Once Bloom finally pulled back, she looked at him with an apologetic smile.
"Wow..." He let out, almost in a daze.
"Sorry…" Bloom said, trying to hide the pink that was turning up on her cheeks.
"Don't be…" Danny said, clearly enamored with her.
Seeing him clearly smitten with her, Bloom smiled in a mixture of amusement and interest as she let him admire her more.
"So… about that ice cream?" She asks.
"Anywhere you want!" Danny said happily as he offered his arm to her.
Bloom took his arm as they flew off together, maintaining the same speed.
Upon getting the ice cream, Danny took Bloom with him to the top of a building overlooking the city. They decided to continue their date in the transformed state.
He recalled how it went.
"So, what flavor are you getting today?" Danny asks.
"I think I'll go for the chocolate chip mint!" Bloom said excitedly in a way that reminded him of Kula.
"Good choice, I'll have the same." He said while nodding before they left, transformed, and came here.
Bloom had finished her cone as she sighed in satisfaction.
"It's too bad I couldn't bring Kiko along, but I hope my folks are taking good care of him." Bloom said.
"Your cat?" Danny asks in curiosity.
"Rabbit, actually." Bloom responded as she used her arms to keep herself up as she laid back.
"I see." Danny said as he finished his own cone and sighed with satisfaction. "Well…" He looked to the sky and saw it was sunset. "Guess now we just sit and talk? Is that okay?" He glances at her for an answer.
Bloom nodded as she sat up and looked at the city being washed by the setting sun's light.
"Beautiful…" She said with a smile.
"Yeah…" Danny said in a dazed smile at Bloom before realizing what she meant. "The… city. Yes." He said before clearing his throat. "Well, the sunset is definitely a sight to see."
"It's so peaceful up here." Bloom said while leaning back again.
"Yeah, it's the perfect spot to just sit and talk." Danny nodded. "Is that okay?"
Bloom nodded.
"I like talking with you, Danny." She said happily.
Danny smiled happily before a thought crossed his mind. One that he knew he had to share so he'll know where he stands with Bloom and his chances with her.
"So… should we… discuss the elephant in the room?" Danny asks nervously.
"About what?" Bloom asks.
"Sky. As in… your boyfriend/ex boyfriend…" Danny said cautiously.
Hearing that seemed to have dampened Bloom's mood.
"I won't lie that it's been hard since my break-up with Sky. We keep calling it a "see other people" phase to feel better, but that's just putting a band aid on a bullet wound. It's a break-up. I still miss him sometimes." She said with a saddened expression.
Hearing that was a pierce to his heart as Danny decided to ask a question.
"Do you… think you'll get back together with him?" He asks, fearing her answer.
Bloom had a look of uncertainty on her face.
"I'm not sure…" She said before looking at Danny and smiling. "...but being out with you today, I can honestly say you've become my favorite blind date."
Hearing this, Danny's heart races with excitement.
"Well, that's a good bit of news." He said with a smile.
"Definitely." Bloom said as she smiled back..
"I'm sure this dude who's with the… what'd you call them? Expert men?" Danny asks, having forgotten what they're called.
"Specialists." Bloom answered him.
"Right. So, I'm sure this Specialist guy, who sounds more like a plumber or consultant than some hi-tech knight by the way, is probably a good guy. But, if he can't see how wonderful you are… it's his loss." Danny said.
"Trying to butter me up?" Bloom asks with a smile and a raised eyebrow.
"What if I am?" Danny asks in a moment of confidence.
"Well, considering your eyes can't stop soaking in how I look, I'd say you got enough butter to cook an entire shark." Bloom pointed out.
It was true, Danny's eyes couldn't stop hugging her exposed legs and midriff, along with her arms.
"Well… not like you're hideous." Danny responded with darting his eyes away.
"Oh, that so?" Bloom asks as she crosses her legs, almost in an attempt at seduction.
Looking back at her, glazing at her legs, Danny cracked a smile.
"Well…" He inched closer to her on his right. "A fairy with hair like fire, hence the Fiery Bloom username, and eyes with your shade of blue, who dresses like she's going dancing, is something I can get behind, I guess." He said, trying to act like he's not that into her.
Bloom giggled at this attempt to be suave.
"Well… a boy two years younger than me who is equal parts brave as he is cute is something I can get behind, no doubt." She said, leaning into him a bit.
"That so?" Danny asks, face turning red.
"Yup. You're a lot like Sky, if I had to admit." Bloom said.
"How so?" Danny asks.
"Brave, caring, determined, thinks I'm pretty, and there's something else… something mysteriously charming. The only things different are height and the absence of another girl… Well, there are blind dates but it's not like you have 24 girlfriends, so it doesn't count." Bloom said.
"R-Right… but, I still have 5 more to go." Danny pointed out, face sweating bullets from Bloom's rather close presence.
"True, so do I. But tell me, where do I stand so far?" Bloom asks.
"Huh?" Danny went as Bloom pulled back.
"If you had to rank all of us so far, least likely to be your girlfriend to most likely being the person you want to put a wedding ring on, where would I stand?" Bloom asks with a smile.
Danny's eyes darted away.
Wow, I never thought of that before… Uh… okay… Kim would definitely be in the top 5. Samanta? Maybe. Gwen… At least Top 10. Abby… Lenny… Marinette, totally in the 5. Sakura's in the 10. Lapis? Maybe in the 10? Uh… Violet, 10… Jen? Daphne? Wendy? Melissa? April? She's like in the 10. Bridgette? Vanessa? Close to 5. Kula? 5? Makoto? Probab- Wait, why am I thinking this?! He thought before seeing the anticipating look on Bloom's face.
"Uh, well...it's hard to say since...well, I have made a lot of good friends so far and so…"
Whatever attempt Danny made to proclaim his ranking or answer could only be muttered through a mouse-like squeak.
"I'm guessing I put you on the spot." Bloom said sympathetically.
"Kind of… I guess… you're either in the top 5 or top 10?" Danny responded nervously.
"It's okay… I can at least say… you're my favorite one. And it's not just because you're a cute face." Bloom said.
Hearing that made Danny's thoughts about how strongly he felt for her less a hassle to figure out.
"Really?" Danny asks as he moves closer.
"Really…" Bloom said as she and Danny closed their eyes together.
The two share a deep kiss, one that led to them hugging.
Neither of them couldn't help but slightly feel the other's arms up. Danny felt how smooth her skin is, even through his gloves. Bloom could feel defined muscles under that suit of his before going to his neck and pulling him closer. Danny felt himself feel so much lighter from it, which triggered his powers and made him hover to get higher than her. Bloom, having some awareness but lost in the kiss, used her wings to follow him upward.
As the kiss ended, Bloom and Danny smiled at each other before she cleared her throat.
"So… Um… I guess it's time to… go… Not because I want to… but… uh…" Bloom said shyly, clearly as into the kiss as Danny was as she failed to find a reason to excuse herself.
But before she can leave, Danny holds her hand and assures her with a smile.
"My lips are sealed, if you want to keep our attraction a secret." Danny said
Bloom giggles.
"It's not that, it's just... you've set the bar high for my remaining blind dates." She admitted with some semblance of concern she'll find no other guy who makes her feel as close to how she feels about Sky like Danny does.
"I have no doubt you'll do great. I'm not the only fish in this sea." Danny said humbly. "And who says our date has to end here?"
Bloom's worried expression turns into a smile as they sat together, embrace and watch the sunset together.
"If you say so." Bloom said.
"This has been a date to remember." Danny whispered.
"Definitely." Bloom said, holding him affectionately.
I was only doing this to have fun dating without thinking about a new boyfriend… looks like I found one potential candidate. Bloom thought happily.
"HA! They kissed twice! Pay up!" Deadpool said, holding a hand out at BCF.
"Uh… double or nothing says they don't do it three times!" BCF said.
"You're on!" Deadpool said.
"BCW, are you sure?" FP11 asked.
"It'll be fine. Statistics say I'll be fine. Besides, what are the odds he's met a girl who he shares mouth to mouth with more than twice during a blind date? That never happened in the original, I think, so what are the odds it'll happen here?" BCF said.
NeoMark had an awkward, uncomfortable look on his face.
On the ground
Danny walked with Bloom a while longer as people took notice of them.
They changed back to civilian form and decided to enjoy a leisurely stroll before it was time for her to go.
The two teens kept exchanging stories as they headed to their destination.
Along the way, they stopped at Nasty Burger for a quick bite. Once they got their orders, they sat down.
"That redhead's crazy to be with Fenton." One said under her breath, but loud enough for Bloom to hear.
"Yeah… she must've lost a bet." A snootier sounding girl responded.
"Or he won one." A tall boy snarked.
Bloom glared at everyone disapprovingly before directing her attention at Danny.
"I don't get why people treat you so poorly. It's not your fault your parents caused blackouts or whatever." Bloom said.
"You're telling me." Danny said.
Bloom took notice of how eerily quiet it was before seeing people staring at her and Danny, almost like they think she's wasting her time with him.
"I don't like the way they stare like it's a crime to date you." Bloom said as she sent disapproving looks at all of them.
"Well, around here, it kind of is." Danny snarked.
"I'm serious. You're a nice, stable guy and you're cute too. I honestly think those jerks at your school that are treating you like the plague are just the worst." Bloom said.
"You're preaching to the choir, I've been thinking that for years." Danny said.
"Well, I wish I knew a spell that could teach them a lesson or two." Bloom said, greatly disliking the way people were looking at him.
Meanwhile, from afar, Dash and friend were walking inside when Dash spotted his favorite target.
"Look… Fentwerp and that girl from the restaurant, the one with poor taste in men." Dash said as he pounded a fist into his hand.
"What if this one turns out to be a blackbelt or something?" Kwan asks with a sense of fear.
"A babe that skinny? Clearly, she needs someone who can protect her, someone like me!" Dash said as he was ready to march on over to make a move.
Bloom, unaware of this, was still fuming at how people were looking at Danny when an idea sprung.
"I got an idea, if you're game." Bloom said with a smile as she stood up.
"Sure." Danny said in response.
"Okay… ahem…" Bloom went as she took a step back and pulled away, her arm over her head. "Oh my! What a charming young man you are, Danny Fenton! Such a handsome gentleman!" She went in an overly dramatic way.
Danny found himself unable to hold back laughter.
"What are you doing? Practicing drama class?" He asks under his breath.
"Play along…" Bloom said with a smile before going back to being overly dramatic. "Your kind words make me feel so… wonderful! Any girl would be lucky to meet a guy like you! With or without this wonderful dating service! I am so lucky to know you!" She went before taking him by the shoulders and winking. "Pucker up." She whispered before going at it again. "This is the least I can do to show gratitude for being so wonderful!"
With that, she kissed Danny on the lips, much to the surprise of people watching.
All of the students of Casper High, even amongst the staff, froze in shock. They were seeing Danny Fenton, a boy they usually look down on, being kissed by such a beautiful girl two years his senior, one whose right foot popped up.
Dash's jaw dropped as he stopped in his tracks. He then made a u-turn and went back to his crew, saying no word whatsoever.
Danny froze and remained like that for seconds as Bloom pulled back.
"How's that?" Bloom asks.
"Shockingly, not getting old in the slightest." Danny said with a big smile.
"I mean how people are reacting." Bloom whispered after giggling at his response.
Danny looked around and, to his surprise, people were gawking at them.
"Where did you say you met?!" Mikey asks, getting very close to the two.
"And do you have a sister or friends in this dating service thing?!" Kwan, having pushed his way through the A-List, asks.
"Oh, it's the service at the mall. "You + Me = LOVE!" I think it's closed after 5, but it opens tomorrow at 10." Danny explained.
He barely finished his sentence as everyone began murmuring to themselves.
"Let's do it!" One you man in a jersey said.
"You sure? Seems weird to meet strangers…" A girl in a blue dress said.
"If Fenton can score a babe like her and the ones he's been seen with, there's hope for us all!" A nerdy boy said.
"Yeah! Fenton's the lucky one! He's been hanging out with total hotties we've never seen before!" A boy with glasses said.
"He's somehow way better at this than we thought!" A chubby boy said.
Bloom took her seat, crossing her arms in satisfaction.
"Congrats, your street cred has improved." Bloom said proudly.
"Thanks… but the kiss you added at the end. It wasn't necessary to foot pop, but it helped." Danny said with a smile.
"What makes you think that was part of the act?" Bloom responded with an amused look on her face.
As Danny and Bloom resumed their talk and bite, Dash was with his friends as Paulina and Star stared in disbelief.
"What's wrong with her?" Paulina questioned.
"Unbelievable… her, the martial arts chicks, the blue girl… now people are respecting Fenton? At this rate, the geek will inherit the Earth!" Dash complained.
"But… we know how he met babes like them. We should go tomorrow and sign up! Maybe you'll get even hotter girls!" Kwan suggested.
"Fine." Dash said angrily before glaring holes at an unsuspecting Danny. "Watch out, Fenton. I'll find babes that would outdo yours any day… Now come on…" Dash turned around and stormed out with an angered look in his eyes. "I'm not in the mood for burgers right now…"
It was clear he was angry about Danny Fenton finding girls more attractive than who they usually meet enjoying their time with him, so he refused to be in the same room as them. Kwan only shrugged as Paulina and the others gawked before following.
"HA! THREE TIMES! PAY UP, FUZZY!" Deadpool went with a victorious look in his eye.
"Fine..." BCF grumbled as he handed over the money in defeat.
As Deadpool was about to take it, FP11 clutched the dollar bills in time and snatched them away.
"Not so fast! Remember our bet?! Although I would've used Musa, Bloom was still his date and she's the only person who kissed him, ending this streak of evil girls kissing him without consent instead of his dates. Ergo, you owe me $100 and footing the lunch bill. I'll be taking this." She said.
"Oh [censored]..." Deadpool complained as FP11 gave BCF his money back.
After Nasty Burger
Once the two finished, Danny took Bloom to the borders of Amity Park, where the two hid behind a road sign that read "Welcome to Amity Park! Home of Danny Phantom!" Danny had assured Bloom that Amity Park has ghost insurance, the observatory would be repaired in less than a month's worth of time, though he'll lend a ghostly hand. For now, it was time to bid Bloom goodbye.
"Ready?" Bloom asks.
"Ready! I'm goin' ghost!" Danny said as he morphed.
Bloom herself transformed back into her fairy form, giggling as Danny admired her. She then took a moment to fully examine his suit.
"Gotta say, being the only boy who can fly alongside me, your outfit suits you." She said.
"Really?" Danny asks, looking down at his own suit with uncertainty.
"The Pac-Man ghost on your chest is a nice addition, draws attention to the face." Bloom said.
"My friend Sam added it to my costume. She wanted me to keep it because she really, really likes it." Danny said.
"Well, she's not wrong." Bloom said as she took a closer look at his chest as she bent her back forward.
"My eyes are up here." Danny said, pointing to his face with a smile.
"That's what I was gonna say the next time you looked at my legs or midriff." Bloom said as she stood up.
"Well, beat you to it." Danny said.
The two of them laughed together before they both shot up into the air until they were 50 ft above.
"Guess this is goodbye, Danny." Bloom said with a sad smile. "Gonna miss you."
"I'll miss you too, Bloom." Danny responded softly before closing his eyes and puckering his lips, only for Bloom to put a finger on them.
"I think you've had enough for today." Bloom said with a playful smile.
Though a bit disappointed, Danny smiled back.
"Yeah, don't wanna overdo it." Danny said.
"I'll kiss you next time." Bloom said with a wink.
"Trying to tempt me into picking you?" Danny questioned playfully.
"May-be?" Bloom went with a coy pose, earning a chuckle.
"Well, will a hug do?" Danny asks.
"Absolutely." Bloom said before hugging Danny as tight as she could.
Danny hugged her as best as he could without hurting her, enjoying the feeling of their bodies pressed together, her cheek touching hers.
She's so cool… and this feels so nice… He thought, unable to let his mind stop thinking what it shouldn't.
Once Bloom let go, she gave Danny another warm smile.
"Bye, Danny~." She said before letting go and flying off.
"Bye, Bloom!" He went happily, waving both of his arms.
Bloom had waved back, even as she disappeared from sight.
Danny remained there, still waving and still in a daze from who he had just gone out with. A beautiful young lady with amazing powers of her own and the first girl to kiss him three times.
Marinette was the first he shared a kiss with, albeit accidentally. Kula was the first to have kissed him twice. Bloom had done it three times. And just like them, Danny found himself greatly interested in her.
"Bloom…" He said with a happy smile before recalling something. "... I think she said her last name was Peters?" He looked at his phone quickly. "Yup, Peters…" He then sighed again. "Bloom Peters…"
Little did he know, Bloom was looking at her own phone, which had a picture of Danny as his portrait with his contact info. She smiled happily.
"Looks like Sky has some competition…" She said to herself, growing very fond of the boy she met today.
She headed to her adopted parents' home to pick up her pet, all while looking back on the best blind date she's had.
"And there we go." NeoMark said.
"Not bad, different from the Musa date but not bad." FP11 said.
"Adorable. Gotta say, I was looking forward to this date." BCFW said.
"Well… at least the Winx character who gets shipped with Danny the most finally appeared." Deadpool said, despite knowing he lost.
"If I recall… next is when I used Felicia, yes?" FP11 asks.
"That's right, but I'm not using her. This was the last replacement character from a series used in the original, so it won't be someone from that show." NeoMark said.
"Yeah, about that. I was curious, are you gonna do a break arc like I did?" FP11 asks.
"I don't see why not." NeoMark said.
"So, I know you don't wanna use her, but can we still make Felicia the reason the website gets overloaded?" FP11 asks graciously.
"Sorry, but no. See? I'm not just not using that character or show, I'm not using that world." NeoMark explained.
"Huh?" FP11 asks.
"See? You not only used a character with so few appearances in a cartoon that is universally treated as "eh… whatever…", it's from a shared universe of Marvel cartoons… one born from Ultimate Spider-Man." NeoMark said.
"Wait… how is it the same universe with two different Spider-Men? This is all very confusing right now." BCFW scratched his head as he looked at the wall.
"Idiocy and mismanagement, that's how." Deadpool said.
"Yeah, that was… not a well thought out universe that either tried to ape the MCU or take inspiration from recent comics. So, I'm not using ANYONE from that series, much less universe." NeoMark explained.
"Really? I mean, I'm doing the Felicia story, so my curiosity is piqued. Granted, I see what you mean. I'm still getting things together to make a more cohesive and streamlined Marvel universe." BCF said in interest. "Want me to share when I'm done?"
"Sure. After this." NeoMark said.
"Wait, so… if you're not using that series, then which one?" FP11 asks.
"If you guys know anything about Marvel animation, then you already know that when it comes to teenage superheroes from Marvel, then there is a WAY better series we should be taking characters from…" NeoMark said, eager to finally share this.
