Tornado adopts a Unicorn

Tatsumaki was sitting in an interrogation room on a small, uncomfortable chair. After All Might told her to follow him, she was brought to a small car and was transported to a random police station. Well, at least she got a candy apple from the big guy, so that was something. But now she was waiting for 30 minutes in this god-forsaken room with nothing to do. She was starting to get pissed off.

Before she could scream at the cameras, the door suddenly opened. Through it came All Might with a detective by his side. The detective looked painfully average, with dark hair and eyes. He looked like Zombie-Man with his trenchcoat.

"Finally! Do you know how long I've waited in this stupid room? You're lucky that I need information, or else I would've blown this whole place to pieces." She said arrogantly and crossed her arms over her chest.

The detective got nervous but tried to hide it as best as possible. "Good evening, Miss Tatsumaki. My name is Tsukauchi, and I'm the lead detective on your case. If I may, we would like to ask some questions first, and then we will try to help you with your quiet unusual situation, alright?" He asked calmly as he took a seat of his own and sat down, with All Might doing the same next to him.

"Hmph, do as you like. I don't have anything better to do at the moment anyway." Well, actually, she had many things she needed to do right now. But if she had a choice between getting her answers in a calm environment or torturing some random civilians ... yeah, she would take the peaceful route. She knows she needs to play by their rules to get answers. Even if this whole situation was getting under her skin very fast. So reluctantly, she stays in the chair and lets them do their thing.

"Alright then. To start things off, I need to tell you that my quirk lets me see if the person in front of me is lying or telling the truth. Is that OK for you?" Tsukauchi took out a little notebook and began to write things down. Simultaneously, a little recording device recorded the whole thing too.

There it was again. What the hell is a quirk? She heard the flame guy say it to her earlier too. Whatever. It's not like it's crucial for her anyway. "I don't care. Go on with it already." She told him impatiently.

The detective nodded. "Very well then. You told us your name is Tatsumaki. Is that correct?"

"Yes."

"No surname?" He looked at her questionly.

"No."

Tsukauchi wrote things down in his notebook and continued the interrogation. It's not unusual for someone to not have a surname, so he didn't bat an eye. "Please tell us what your quirk is. We need as much information as possible, so take as much time as you want." He looked up again in anticipation. He saw what her powers did to All for One, so he was a little curious about what she was truly capable of.

But Tatsumaki just raised one of her eyebrows at him. This is the third time, and it looks like this 'quirk' thing is really important. She doesn't want to be kept in the dark anymore, so she needs to know what this quirk thing is. "OK, spit it out. What the hell is a quirk? I heard it several times already, and it's starting to piss me off that you guys speak about it like it's a well-known fact." She told them irritated, biting down at her candy apple in frustration. It really was delicious and calmed her down.

All Might and Tsukauchi looked at her perplexed. What? How does she not know what a quirk is? The detective tried to explain it as best as he could. "Umm, you see ... a quirk is like your personal superpower. Around 80% of the earth's population has one. Somebody can shoot lasers out of their eyes, and another one can grow in size. There are endless possibilities of what power you will be born with. How do you not know that?" He asked her seriously and a little skeptically.

OK, now Tatsumaki was sure that Blast had sent her to a completely different world. Fuck. How the hell does she even get back? 'Why is this happening to me? Urgh.' Tatsumaki groaned in her mind but played along with the detective for now. She can think about this later. First, she needs more information.

"Whatever, it doesn't matter. Continue the interrogation." She waved him off.

He looked at her with squinted eyes. "And your quirk ... uhh, power, I mean?"

"Oh, that ... yeah. Let's just say I have telekinetic abilities. I can move anything with my mind, be it living or inorganic things. My range is around 100 kilometers, and the maximum weight I can lift is a couple of million tons ... I think? I never really tested my weight limit. I can create barriers, fly around, increase my speed and strength, and many other things. Satisfied?" Tatsumaki told them as if that was completely normal and nothing special for her.

Both All Might and Tsukauchi looked at her as if she had grown a second head. What the hell? How can she be that strong?

"I- I see. A- And how exactly did you get on the battlefield?" Tsukauchi asked with sweat running down his face.

"I'm not sure myself, but I think it was one of Blast's portals. He was fighting some ninja guy, and I got between them. The ninja attacked me, and Blast wanted to protect me with his portals. So I think he's the reason why I am here." She explained surprisingly calmly. She tried to get a bite out of her candy apple but noticed that it was already eaten up. "Hey, bring me another candy apple."

All Might then connected the pieces. 'She appears out of thin air, nobody knows who she is, she's stronger than AfO, and with that strength, she would be known worldwide. She speaks about being the number two hero and talks about heroes nobody heard of. Is it really possible to travel between different dimensions?' All Might's eyes widened as he thought about the possibility.

"Young Tatsumaki, I think I have an idea of what has happened to you." He began carefully to not overwhelm her. "It is just an idea I have, so please don't panic, alright?"

Tatsumaki continued looking at him disinterested.

"I think you come from a different world. This earth right here might not be yours." All Might explained seriously. Tsukauichi looked at All Might as if he lost his mind.

But Tatsumaki was one step ahead.

"I already know that."

"I know, I know. How could that possibly b- ... uh what?" He looked at her dumbfounded.

Tatsumaki crossed her arms over her chest again. "I knew it after you guys told me that nearly everyone in this world has superpowers. In my world, most people are average weaklings, with only a select few having powers of their own. But if they want, they can gain powers through training or other methods. Even an idiot would have known it after that. Not to mention that no one here knows who I am. At the moment, I don't have a way back home unless you have someone in this world who can travel between dimensions. So I'm basically stuck here till Blast finishes his fight with this ninja guy and brings me back home." She told them dismissively as she began to eat her freshly arrived candy apple.

Both men sweatdrop after hearing her explanation. "Oookaaay ... then could you maybe tell us something about your world? Only if you like, of course." Tsukauchi asked the esper carefully. The idea that she came from a different world hadn't sunk in yet for Tsukauchi. It was unbelievable, to be honest. He knows that she told him the truth but he has to think about it first before he will believe that.

All Might, on the other hand, had a strange grin on his face. He himself solved the puzzle and was proud of it. Because, let's be honest, he's not the brightest sometimes.

Tatsumaki stopped eating and thought about it for a moment. She put her hand under her chin and closed her eyes. "If I don't tell you about my world, you will be bothering me about it anyway, so why not." She shrugged dismissively.

"I don't know how your hero system works, but if someone as weak as you is the number one hero around here, then the system you are using is either completely useless or someone brain-dead designed it. Maybe both." She smiled smugly at them as she continued to explain the system of her world. "Our system, on the other hand, is nearly perfect. We have 4 classes of heroes, the C-class, which belongs to the weaklings and are mostly used as cannon fodder, the B-Class, which belongs to nobodys that can barely hold their own against Tiger level threats and the A-Class, who are somewhat capable but most them are useless too." She finished her short rant to take another bite out of her apple.

All Might and Tsukauchi looked at her, a little taken aback. Did she just insult nearly every hero in her world?

"And lastly, we have the S-Class, where I'm in. The S-Class is for the strongest heroes who can defeat any threat on their own. Well, that's how it should have been, but some weaklings managed to get in there, too, somehow. Whatever, I'm the number two, and Blast is the number one in the S-Class. Did you get all that?" Tatsumaki proudly told them about her own capabilities as she smiled smugly at them with her eyes closed and her arms crossed.

One in particular was intrigued with the idea of the S-Class. All Might wanted to know more. "Could you tell me more about the S-Class? How strong are they, and could they all defeat All for One, the man you fought earlier?" He asked, curious.

"Hmph, I don't think that this guy was any threat to begin with, he was a weakling. Most of the S-Class could defeat him with ease, with maybe 4 or 5 heroes losing to him. But these guys should not have been in the S-Class to begin with." She waved All Might off as she finished her explanation.

Unbelievable.

All Might could not comprehend that so many heroes were capable of defeating his arch nemesis. These guys must be crazy strong if Tatsumaki thought that AfO is not even a threat in her world.

Tsukauchi was interested too now. He leaned forward and began to ask his own questions. "You told us something about a Tiger level threat earlier. What do you mean by that?"

"It's basically just to determine how strong a monster is. The weakest is a wolf-level threat, and multiple C-Class heroes are needed to defeat it. After that comes the Tiger-level threat, this is for the B-Class, and you need at least 5 of them to defeat it or one A-Class hero. Then comes the threat-level demon, and for that, you need multiple A-Class heroes or one weak S-Class hero. All of these are nothing special, but all of these useless heroes brag about how strong they are after they defeat these weak monsters." She ranted again about how useless the heroes in her world are.

She tried to calm down and finished her explanation. "Tsk, whatever. After that comes the threat level Dragon, and now we are talking about actual threats. A threat-level Dragon can only be defeated by multiple weak S-Class heroes or one strong S-Class hero. King, Blast, and I, on the other hand, can defeat multiple Dragon-level threats on our own." She had her smug grin back on her face. Strangely, it only appears after she speaks about Blast, King, or herself.

"And how would you rank AfO in your system?" All Might asked curiously.

"He would be a threat-level Demon, a high one at that." Tatsumaki told him dismissively.

All Might's eyes widened again after hearing that, and he coughed up blood. He couldn't believe it. AfO would only be a minor footnote in this world.

To get back on track, Tsukauchi questioned her further. "And this threat level Dragon is the highest threat?"

"No that would be threat level God. We only had one or maybe two so far and Blast was the one who defeated the monster. Blast and King are the only ones who can defeat a threat level God with me maybe defeating a weak one but I'm not sure." And now she was pouting, it looked rediciolous.

"You are talking quite often about these heroes, could you tell us more about them?" Tsukauchi asked interested.

"Heh, impressed now, huh? No wonder, everyone would be amazed by our superior powers. To start, there's King, the strongest person alive. He can defeat any Dragon-level threat with just his heartbeat. And th-" "WHAAAAT?!" Both men interrupted her with a loud scream, and their eyes were as wide as dinner plates. "Uhhh, sorry, please continue."

Tatsumaki looked at them, annoyed. "Tch, like I tried to say, after King comes Blast, the number one Hero and only one besides King capable of defeating God-level threats. In terms of power, I'm the number three, the secret weapon of the hero association. I have the highest kill count by far, and I'm the most active hero." Well, there's still a certain baldy on her mind, but she still doesn't know how to place him.

"What do you mean by kill count? Do you kill your villains?" All Might asked, a little shocked.

The esper looked at him strangely. "Well, of course. These monsters are not human and need to be put down before they can destroy one of our cities."

All Might was a bit relieved after that. "Ahh, so these monsters are literal monsters and not humans, I get it. In our world, there are no monsters, only villains. These are people who abuse their powers, and the heroes of this world only arrest them. Killing them is illegal."

"And that's the problem." Tsukauichi butted in. "You killed a person live on television. To make matters worse, quirk usage without a license is illegal. So we have quite the problem at the moment." Tsukauchi tried to explain the situation to the esper.

Tatsumaki looked at him dangerously. "And why should I care about that? I don't have any idea how your stupid laws work, and I was literally dragged here against my will, so you can shove your laws up your ass because I will not be spending my time here in prison." She threatened them with a fierce glare on her face and released her power to intimidate them.

Both All Might and Tsukauchi were sweating bullets right now. The aura she was emitting was suffocating them.

But before it could escalate further, the door opened suddenly and an ... animal with a suit walked in? The hell? Tatsumaki looked at it perplexed. "What the hell is that thing?" She asked them both.

"Am I a dog, a mouse, or a bear? Well, one thing's for sure, I am the principal of UA High, Nezu." The now confirmed Nezu said in a cheerful voice.

Tatsumaki looked at it in disbelief. "Again, what the hell is that?"

"Well, to start, I heard everything that was said through the cameras after I arrived here 15 minutes ago. And I am here to give you a choice, miss Tatsumaki." He still spoke with his cheerful voice, ignoring Tatsumaki's comment. He got on the table and walked closer to the esper, his grin never leaving his face.

"OK, can somebody please tell me how this rodent is talking right now?" Tatsumaki demanded with a slightly raised voice.

All Might tried to calm Tatsumaki down. "You see, young Tatsumaki, in our world, there are different kinds of quirks. Emitter, transformation, and mutant quirks, but sometimes even animals are born with quirks. That right here is Nezu, the principal of the best hero school in all of Japan."

At that, Tatsumaki raised her eyebrows. "A hero school? What do you need that for? A hero is born and not made, you can't take a random guy from the street and make him a hero." She explained arrogantly.

Now, it was Tsukauchi who raised his eyebrows. "Wait, then how do you become a hero in your world?"

Tatsumaki crossed her arms again and huffed. "No wonder you guys are so pathetic if you need a whole school to raise future heroes. In my world, you can take an exam every couple of weeks. This exam tests your physical capabilities and your intelligence, and if you score high enough, you become a hero." She told them as if the system was flawless. Which by the way, it was not. Not even close.

Everyone, even Nezu, looked at her in disbelief. "That ... has so many flaws, I don't even want to begin pointing them out." Tsukauchi told her.

"Hmph, I don't need your opinion. You, rat, tell me what you want from me." She pointed a finger at Nezu.

Nezu's smile returned. "Gladly, miss Tatsumaki. At the moment, you will be charged with murder, illegal quirk usage, vigitalism and interference with heroes work. This alone will get you a sentence for at least 25 years, but we both know that nobody on this planet could overpower you." Nezu began his explanation and walked around on the table.

"My proposal is that you will be employed by me at UA High as our personal bodyguard. You will be protecting the students, the teachers, and the school itself from villain attacks and other dangers. If you accept, I will personally get your charges dropped, which by the way, is childsplay for me." He finishes with a wide grin on his furry face as he claps his paws together.

Tatsumaki looked at him closely. "So you're saying that if I accept your offer, I don't have to deal with you weaklings chasing me around the country? Hmph, I don't see how I get anything out of it. It's not like I would have a problem with getting rid of your weak heroes." Tatsumaki closed her eyes and thought for a moment.

After a couple of seconds, she opened them again and smirked dangerously at the mammal. "OK, give me a hero license, and I'm in. I don't want to sit on my ass as long as I am here, so if you can get me one, I will protect your stupid school."

Tsukauchi heard that and tried to stop this development. "You can't just demand a lic-" But Nezu didn't care. "Perfect. I will get it done miss Tatsumaki." Nezu turned around and faced Tsukauchi. "Now, I think we are done here. Mr Tsukauchi, I will be taking miss Tatsumaki to my car and drive her to our school. Good day." With no room to argue, Nezu walked outside.

Tatsumaki couldn't quite place Nezu at the moment. "Tch, I don't think I'll like him. He's a little smartass, but at least he knows how to play his cards. Well, you heard him, I will be going now." And now Tatsumaki walked out as well, leaving an exhausted and confused Tsukauchi behind.

"I don't get paid enough for that."

/

With Nezu and Tatsumaki inside Nezu's car.

"You know I could fly us both over there in a couple of seconds, right?" Tatsumaki told Nezu from the back of the car.

"Oh, I know that you are capable of amazing things, but I need the time to talk about certain things. Like where you will be staying, your tasks, and other things that need to be addressed." The animal said in his usual cheerful tone.

"Hmph, then get on with it."

"Because of recent developments, our school will change quite a bit. We will start a dorm system to make our school safer for our students. All classes will get their own house, and the homeroom teacher will stay with them in the same building. You, on the other hand, will get your own house, which you can even customize if you want. But this can be done tomorrow in my office. I think you are quite tired already after this eventful day." He finishes and let's Tatsumaki think about it.

"If you can build me a house then I already have a plan on how it should look like. And you don't have to worry about your students, if I'm there, no one will be able to stop me." She told him arrogantly.

"Fufufu, it's a pleasure to be working with you."

Then, Nezu began to talk about a different topic. "Oh I just remembered. If somebody from the HPSC wants to speak with you, please come and get me first before you speak with them. I am certain they already have plans on how to use you to their advantage. The HPSC is responsible for all the heroes in the country and their ranking, and I don't like them."

"It sounds like these guys are just as corrupt as the Hero Association in my world. Don't worry, I know how to deal with scum like them." Tatsumaki shrugged him off with no worry.

Again, Nezu smiled at her. "Splendid."

The car ride continued with Tatsumaki and Nezu talking more about their respective worlds, and nothing major happened the entire ride.

/

At UA High, Nezu gave Tatsumaki a small tour around campus. Nothing major, to just let her know where she can find the essentials. After that, he showed her the room where she would spend the night and let the esper alone with her thoughts for the first time since arriving in this strange world.

Tatsumaki took a quick shower, changed her clothes, which Nezu provided by the way, and just sat on the couch to watch some TV. Normally, she would fight monsters to kill some time, but that is impossible in this world, so she has to make do with just watching TV.

"Looks like I really made up a storm, huh? Why is it so important for these people that I killed someone? Urgh, I hope Blast finds a way back for me very soon. I don't want to stay in this madhouse any longer." Tatsumaki complained as she lay back on the couch with frustration.

Little did she know that on the next day, her life would change completely.

"I hope that I get my license soon so that I can fight off some villains. They may be weak, but at least it's something to do besides sitting on my ass the entire time."

With that, Tatsumaki made her way to bed and tried to get some sleep.

/

Elsewhere.

Eri was in her uncomfortable bed, crying. The session with Overhaul just ended, and her entire body was hurting again. She doesn't know why this was happening to her, but Overhaul said that she was cursed and that it was her punishment.

'I don't want this. I want my mommy. Why does he do that? I want it to stop. Why won't he stop?' Was running on repeat in her little head.

Today Overhaul was especially rough because he didn't get a major breakthrough yet. And he let's it all out on the little girl.

And Eri too, didn't know that her entire life will be changed by tomorrow.

/

The next day began quite uneventfull for Tatsumaki. She got breakfast and lunch delivered to her room and just waited for Nezu to arrive to get her the tour he promised her yesterday.

Ring Ring Ring

"Finally, the rat kept me waiting long enough." Annoyed, the esper got to the door in anticipation.

Behind the door stood Nezu with another person she didn't know yet. It was a woman with long black hair and blue eyes. She wore a tight costume with black and white colors and had a little mask on her face.

"Took you long enough." Tatsumaki told the mammal annoyed. "And who's the woman?"

"My my, you are quite the naughty one, little girl. I think I need to discipline you a little, what do you think?" The woman told her eroticly with a small wink.

"I think that you need to be kept in a psychic ward. And if you want to keep your limbs, you should keep your distance from me." The esper spat at the woman, who didn't even flinch and just rubbed her thighs together. 'Oh god, she's worse than Puri Puri Prisoner.'

"This woman beside me is Midnight, a hero and teacher from our school." Nezu explained, grinning.

Tatsumaki looked at him questionably. "You let THAT near your students? You do know how hormonal teenagers are at that age, do you?

"Fufufu, don't worry. Midnight knows how to behave. But enough of that, let's begin our tour." Not wasting any more time, Nezu began his tour.

Obviously they started with the main building. Nezu showed Tatsumaki where classes were held and where the teachers could be found at any time in the day. Because of the recent kidnapping incident, they could tour the school without any hindrance.

After they got to the cafeteria, Tatsumaki of course got another candy apple from Lunch Rush.

The main building was nothing special in Tatsumaki's eyes, but what got her attention was the many training facilities the school had to offer. That was something Tatsumaki would definitely use in the future, even if she needs to hold back a lot of her power.

"Are you guys filthy rich, or how are you able to cover all of that?" Tatsumaki asked curious.

Nezu just smiled at her. It kind of got annoying already if you asked Tatsumaki. "You don't have to worry about that. Just enjoy your stay here."

After that they visitted the outside training fields, and again Tatsumaki was interested in testing it out after she's done with this tour.

Lastly, Nezu showed her the dorms that were still in construction at the moment. But he handed her a sheet of paper where she could write down how she wants her house to look.

The pervert looked over her shoulder and whispered something in her ear. "If you want my opinion, you should get a huge bed for some nightly activities, if you know what I mean."

A shiver went down Tatsumaki's spine, and she unconsciously pushed the pervert into the nearest wall.

"Ooooww."

"Hmph, serves you right. Don't say stupid things to me if you want to live."

Nezu ignored this and turned to the esper again. "I hope you enjoy your stay here miss Tatsumaki and if you have any more questions, you know where to find me." With that, Nezu called some robots to get Midnight off the wall and made his way to his office.

Because Tatsumaki didn't want to stay here for the rest of the day, she decided to explore the city. Nezu gave her a phone and an ID for entering UA so he could always reach her if he wanted too. And with nothing better to do, Tatsumaki began to explore for a bit. And who knows, maybe something interesting will happen.

And boy, was she right. It was like walking through a movie setting. Everywhere she looked, someone looked utterly ridiculous. Who has a saw for a head? And how does this even happen? But Tatsumaki is just glad that most things are the same here as in her home world. It would be awful if she didn't know the language, so that's something.

She continued to explore the city and visited many different shops. She found a great candy shop and a decent shop for buying clothes. But the thing that was nearly identical to her own world was the advertisement and all the posters about heroes. It looks like they are as famous in this world as in her own.

The only thing that bothered her was the people. They recognized Tatsumaki and kept their distance from her. On one hand it was pretty nice to have some privacy, but it pissed Tatsumaki off that they treated her as if she starts killing them any second.

"Hmph, pathetic."

Even in the shops, all the people were starting to sweat and treated her as if she explodes at the tiniest things. Well, they're right, because that is something that Tatsumaki does in her home world too.

Tatsumaki's patience was reaching it's limit and she decided to head 'home' for now. Maybe by tomorrow she will FINALLY get her license, God she absolutely needed one right now.

Tatsumaki was deep in her thoughts when someone suddenly bumped into her. "HEY WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING YOU DUMBA- ... huh?" Tatsumaki was surprised. In front of her was a small child, maybe 6 years old, and she looked absolutely terrified. She had long, unkempt greyish hair and red eyes. Her clothes were ragged, and she had a little horn on her forehead.

"Hey, brat, you should look where you're going when you walk on your own. Where're your parents at?" Her tone sounded rough, but if you know Tatsumaki, then you know that she has a little soft spot for kids. She won't fawn over every little kid she sees on the street like other girls, but she at least treats them with caution. It could have something to do with her past. Who knows?

But the child still got teary eyes and began to shiver in fear. Tatsumaki noticed this and her facial expression softened a bit. "Hey what's wrong? Are you lost? I can help you find your parents if you like." She crouched down to get on her eye level and talked much more softer to her now.

This causes something to happen in the head of the child, and she suddenly lunges forward and buries her head in Tatsumaki's chest. Tatsumaki was surprised. Her arms hung awkwardly in the air, not daring to hug the girl yet.

"Please don't go." The girl said quietly and with so much fear that even Tatsumaki got a little protective over her.

But before she could reply, someone came out of the alley where the girl had come out earlier.

And this dude looked hella suspicious. He had long blonde hair and a weird-looking bird mask on his face. Tatsumaki immediately knew why this girl was so terrified. It reminded her of her past.

It looks like she has to kill someone again.
