I've been really enjoying Geats so far and have been thinking on what I could use for this. But then I had a sudden epiphany about how I should handle it with a recent anime I saw and loved. Hope you guys enjoy!

Kamen Rider Geats: Cyber Desire
David Martinez was downed and never felt so much pain in his life. But it didn't matter, he did what he set out to do. He saved Lucy and she'll be able to go to the moon for her dream.
"I had some fun, after all." Adam Smasher remarked as he looked at the torn Edgerunner. "You could make an interesting Construct."
"Whatever, choom. Like I give a shit."
"Oh well..." Adam aimed his arm cannon and David smiled as he braced himself.
"..."
After what seemed like a while, David found that Smasher was frozen. The whole environment was. He then heard steps approaching and saw a cheerful woman in a black and white address approaching him with a box. She looked down at David, completely ignoring the frozen death machine.
"Congratulations! After much consideration, you have been selected to participate in our Desire Grand Prix!" The woman announced to David. "As of this day, you are now Kamen Rider!"
"...eh?"
(In 2076)
Lucyna Kushinada, otherwise known as Lucy, was currently eating ramen at the local ramen stand near her apartment. She figured that she'd do something decent for her breakfast before deciding to go to the NCART.
As she was eating, the Netrunner suddenly received a text message from her boss, Maine.
MAINE: Haven't heard from Gloria in a while about my Sandy. Think something happened to her and the implant. Keep an eye out.
[MAINE has sent 1 attachment]
Lucy saw the image of the Sandevistan implant that Maine's usual supplier, Gloria Martinez, was supposed to send him. The woman took a mental image of the screenshot as she finished up her food and boarded the NCART with no particular destination in mind.
She sighed as her eyes lit up as she started Breaching the ICE of any Corpo that she came across. Hacking through their systems was child's play for her at this point as she stole their Shards in quick succession.
They won't make much, but it should help keep Lucy afloat until her crew's next big job or so. Which is the main reason why they need the Sandevistan implant.
As Lucy stole from another target, she looked out onto the big megalopolis known as Night City. It was called the City of Dreams, to which Lucy scoffed at.
'More like a City of Nightmares…' Lucy thought as she moved on to her next target before the next stop.
(Meanwhile somewhere else)
On top of a floating platform somewhere, the woman in black and white approached three men in black and blue combat outfits, wearing a black technological device on their waists with a clear circle and black diagonal line through it.
The key difference between these three is the animal icons embedded in the center. One had a polar bear, one had a purple bull, and the last one had a white fox.
Behind her was a holographic screen, showing a bunch of animal icons with names. A majority of those were marked with the big red word, "LOSE", while only three icons weren't.
"Finally, after six grueling months, the time has come to initiate the final mission of the Desire Grand Prix." Tsumuri, the woman in black and white, announced. "Which of you remaining contestants will win and change the world? Change your fates? Now, let's see!"
Among the three contestants was David, who looked exactly as he did when he started out, only clenched his fists as he looked at his rival contestants. Only one game left to play…
(With Lucy)
Lucy just stole another Shard from an Arasaka Corpo and managed to get away in time before the latter noticed that something was up. She moved to the next car before she started scanning for Corpos.
She soon spotted one under the name of "V". It was an odd name for a Corpo, but Lucy shrugged it off. This V can't be that different from any other Corpo, right?
Just like all her other victims, Breaching through his ICE was like nothing. Soon his Shared popped out of his socket and Lucy quickly grabbed it. Right when she was about to be in the clear, Vincent grabbed her arm, twisted it to her back, and pushed the woman against the window.
"You got some balls, girl. Picksocketing a counterintelligence agent like this." V remarked, surprising Lucy. Someone from Arasaka Counterintelligence was not someone she was expecting to attempt to steal from. "Normally, I just ask you to give me back my Shard and then let you off with a warning. But, my boss has been riding my ass, and I think you've been at this for a while now here. So, I'm just gonna drop you off with the police."
As he was talking, Lucy's eyes lit up as she tried Breaching him to implement a Short Circuit and get away but…
CRASH!
Everyone almost fell over as the tram hit an invisible wall that encircled a huge portion of the city.
"EMERGENCY! ALL PASSENGERS REMAIN CALM! PLEASE EXIT THE TRAM IN AN ORDERLY FASHION!"
As a safety precaution, the tram moved back into the previous station before unlocking its doors and allowing everyone out.
As V and Lucy got out, they noticed a bunch of monsters with red kimonos, white pants, swords, and a giant white plant-based head appear and suddenly attack everyone.
"What the fuck!?" Lucy questioned as she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
After killing almost all of the nearby humans, they started to notice the thief and Corpo. Lucy lit up her eyes and to her surprise, she couldn't hack them. She then opted to pull out her Monowire implants, but those aren't working as well.
"Shit!" Lucy questioned as she tapped on her arms, trying to get her implants out. V was trying to do the same with his arms, but not luck.
"Is there a jammer nearby or something?" V wondered before he noticed the emergency exit nearby. "Come on!"
He grabbed Lucy by the wrist and the two ran out through there with the monsters taking notice.
(With David and the others)
The three contestants looked at the screen, which was displaying a map of Night City with a red circle over a part of it.
"A Jyamato area has been detected. The play area is now in effect! The mission here is to eliminate the Final Boss and all of the lesser Jyamato. The player with the largest score shall be our new Desire God!"
David looked at the map and his eyes widened at where the play area was. He knew full well what the date today was and hoped that he won't be too late.
"Now, let the final game begin!" Tsumuri announced as David and the other two players teleported to Night City.
(With Lucy and V)
Both of them ran through the streets to see that it was complete chaos. The monsters, known as Pawn Jyamatos, were killing everyone that they see. Some of the civilians tried banging on the invisible barrier to get out. On the other side, NCPD, MaxTac, Trauma Team, and even Corpo security tried getting through, but none of their equipment was even making a dent. They could do nothing but watch as civilians on the other side were being slaughtered.
"Come on!"
The two ran into an alley way as Lucy looked at V skeptically.
"Why are you helping me?"
"Not every Corpo is an arrogant selfish asshat." V simply responded. "Besides, we probably stand a better chance together against those things."
"How'd you figure? I can't hack through them. They're all organic."
"Well, they can't be bulletproof, right?" V asked before a Pawn Jyamato appeared and attempted to alert its fellow monsters.
Lucy pulled out a Unity pistol and tried shooting it.
BANG!
The bullet only bounced off the monster's tough and dense exterior. It only looked down at the bullet and just growled in annoyance.
"I think you pissed it off." V remarked as he and Lucy went back the way they came.
As soon as they did, they saw a giant creature floating in the sky with tendrils floating and a Japanese castle on its back. It whaled as it used its tendrils to start attacking the buildings, destroying them as the Pawn Jyamatos jumped out and continued the attack.
They soon noticed the other monsters in the street finishing off the humans in that area before noticing V and Lucy. They all growled as they slowly approached the two with their weapons drawn.
"Dammit! Here too!?" They were about to go back to the alleyway, only to see the monster that Lucy attempted to shoot with a few friends to boot.
They were soon backed into a corner with nothing but the Jyamatos looking menacingly at them.
Lucy aimed her gun at them, but she knew it would do nothing. She tried calling the others for backup, but there was no signal in this dome.
'Is this how I'm going to die?' Lucy questioned. Her only solace was that she died as free as can be. Away from Arasaka and any other corporations.
Just then…
BANG!
The Jyamato in front of them had a hole in its head before collapsing dead. The two noticed their savior on the rooftop in front of them.
Their savior has a helmet that's shaped like the upper half of a bear, with the right eye a giant circle and left eye a star. In his hand is a green bow and arrow, and he wore a gladiator chest harness with one armored shoulder pad and a green armored chest plating on his torso with an icon of his weapon. This is Kamen Rider Shirowe.
On his waist, he still had that technological belt but the right half of his belt held a device that resembled a green bow and arrow, causing the right half of the clear circle to let up green. This was Kamen Rider Shirowe.
"A polar bear?" Bothe Lucy and V were perplexed by the getup their masked savior wore.
"Both of you, get down!" Shirowe instructed as he pulled on the Armed Arrow buckle.
"ARROW STRIKE!"
The polar bear Rider aimed his charging crossbow into the sky and let loose a charged energy arrow. That arrow split into multiple arrows and rained down on the area. Both Lucy and V took cover as a huge majority of the Pawn Jyamatos were struck down by the attack.
"Damn, missed a few." Shirowe cursed before…
BOOM!
Something emerged from a nearby wall, it was a figure that was ramming through a Pawn Jyamato. It lifted the monster off, revealing the figure in all its detail.
He wore a black bodysuit and belt like Shirowe, albeit key differences. Unlike Shirowe's minimalist armor, this one wore heavy purple armor with red touches on the breastplate as well as silver-plated shoulder pads adorned with orange spikes on both sides.
The man also has a big purple cestus with huge orange claws as its fingers.
His helmet resembled a bull's head adorned with two silver horns and his scarred-shaped eyes were orange tinted.
Lastly, despite having the same belt as Shirowe (minus the icon in the center), he wore a larger more intricate device on the right side of his belt compared to Shirowe's Armed Arrow Buckle. It had a purple and orange claw with the sides folded out that resembled a purple ribcage and one the side was a purple switch handle.
This was Kamen Rider Buffa.
"A bull?" The two questioned as Buffa charged at one of the Pawn Jyamatos and impaled the creature with his horns, killing it upon impact. He grabbed another one with his claw and threw it into a building window, crashing upon impact.
A group of the Jyamatos charged with their swords but Buffa easily blocked with his before pushing them back. He then slashed them across their abdomen, getting them all down dead.
He then looked at the remainder of the group and just chuckled as he pushed and pulled on the slider of his sword, causing the chainsaw to be charged and lit up with purple energy.
"POISON CHARGE!"
Buffa then pulled the trigger on his handle.
"TACTICAL BREAK!"
The chainsaw then revved up and started moving at its fastest speed as he charged headfirst into the remaining group of monsters. Within a matter of moments, Buffa's charged up chainsaw sword sliced through all of them easily as if they were made of butter. Upon reaching the last one, Buffa grabbed and threw him into the air. Upon reaching back to the ground, the purple Rider sliced him into two before both dismembered halves exploded.
"Wow…" V remarked as Lucy wondered if they were humans and if so, what kind of tech they were using as her hacking and gun couldn't even scratch them.
Buffa then used his free hand to pull out his phone and checked the scores. He smirked underneath his helmet as he was now in 1st Place, with Shirowe in 2nd, and the fox in 3rd.
"Chingada madre, finally got enough points to be in the lead!" Buffa cheered as V's eyes widened as he recognized the voice.
"Jackie…?"
"Huh?" Buffa turned and looked at V before approaching him. "V? Mano? That you?"
"Yeah, was on my way to work when whatever the fuck this is happened. What the fuck were those things!? What the fuck is going on!? And what the fuck are you wearing!?" V questioned as Buffa placed his phone away.
"Hmmm…how can I say this?" Buffa wondered as Shirowe approached them.
"You guys know each other?"
"Yeah, from-." Buffa stopped himself as he noticed monster reinforcements descending on them. "Just our luck."
He then looked at his fellow contestant.
"Can you take care of my friend and his friend? I'll take care of these putas." Buffa said as he charged into the new group of enemies.
Shirowe nodded as he looked at V and Lucy.
"Come with me! I'll get you somewhere safe!" Shirowe said as he and the two civilians ran for it with the former providing covering fire at any monster that got too close to them.
(With Tsumuri)
The navigator was watching the whole game on the holographic screen via the monitors. She also looked at the scoreboard and saw that Buffa was in the lead, Shirowe was a close second, and the fox was in last place with 0 points.
"The Bull and Polar Bear are hard at work, I see. But what about the fox?" She wondered as a masked man approached her.
"Is everything in working order?" A distorted voice emerged from his mask.
"Oh Gamemaster! I was just monitoring the final game!" Tsumuri reported as the Gamemaster watched alongside her.
"Where is the third?"
"No clue. Wherever he is, he isn't doing a good job as the previous games."
"Find him. We need all players monitored." The Gamemaster ordered as he then left.
Tsumuri nodded as she started looking for David via surveillance.
(With David)
David arrived at the NCART terminal where Lucy and V formerly were. He saw a lot of civilian bodies on the ground.
The young man grimaced at the sight before checking inside the defunct tram to see more bodies, but none of them were Lucy.
David sighed in relief before a couple of scavenger Pawn Jyamatos noticed him. They all charged as David skillfully dodged every slash attempt.
He then grabbed one of the monsters by the arm before twisting it. The captive monster screamed in pain as it dropped its sword. David caught it and stabbed his hostage with it, killing it.
The remaining monster roared as it charged. David charged to and they engaged in a small swordfight before the former found an opening and slashed it multiple times before impaling the sword deep in the creature's head, causing it to drop dead.
"Okay, Lucy isn't around here. Hopefully, she's avoided them long enough." David thought out loud to himself as he pulled out his phone and used it to bring up a map of the play area. "Just gotta find the boss."
He saw his competitions' dots on the map and zoomed in. The young man saw civilian blips near Shirowe and could only hope that Lucy was one of them.
With a plan in mind, David rushed to street level and pulled out a red device with a motorcycle handle sticking out.
"Alright, my trump card, don't fail me." David said as he revved the handle.
"BOOSTSTRIKER!"
Soon a red motorcycle with six exhaust mufflers sticking out the rear appeared with a motorcycle helmet resting on the seat.
David placed the device back in his jacket as he hopped on the motorcycle and placed on his helmet before driving away.
(With Lucy and V)
Shirowe took them up to the roof of a nearby building as he checked around for any hostiles while Lucy and V caught their breaths.
"Alright, I think we're in the clear." Shirowe observed before taking off the Armed Arrow Buckle, dismissing his armor. This revealed a young man with light brown hair slicked back with a black headset resting on his forehead and a cyberline through his face. "You guys alright?"
"Yeah, thanks for the help." V said as Lucy just nodded her head in gratitude, still trying to wrap her head around the situation.
"Ah shit, don't worry, choom. It wasn't a big deal." The man, Julio, said as Buffa appeared on the roof.
"Surprised you got them here in one piece." Buffa remarked.
"Fuck off, choom. I ain't that noob that started out" Julio replied as Buffa closed his Buckle and removed it from his belt, reverting back to V's friend, Jackie Welles. "By the way, you see the other guy?"
Jackie shook his head.
"Haven't seen him since we got dropped here. Think he's going after the big fish." Jackie speculated, shocking Julio.
"The Final Boss!? All by himself!? That's gonna bump up his score by tenfold!"
"Score?" Lucy was confused.
"Subtle." Jackie remarked as he approached V and gave him a quick handshake. "Nice to see you, Mano."
"You too, Jack. But…what the hell is going on here?" V questioned with a very irritated look. "Monsters? Those suits? The fuck kind of bullshit is all of these!?"
It was Lucy's turn to stand up.
"I can't believe I'm saying this about a Corpo, but he's right. All of this looks and feels like something out of a dream! What kind of shit is going on here?"
"…this world is going to end." Jackie said grimly.
"What?" Both V and Lucy were understandably shocked by the sudden news before the giant floating monster with the castle appeared overhead.
"Fuck! The Final Boss!" Julio called out as he readied his Armed Arrow buckle and reinserted back into his Driver.
"SET!"
Just as Julio activated his device, the giant Slug Jyamato sicked one its tendrils at the man.
"Henshin-!"
He pulled on the Armed Arrrow buckle.
"ARMED ARROW!"
Just as Julio transformed, the tendril immediately impaled his chest. All three were shocked by the brutality of the attack.
"Julio!" Jackie called as Shirowe dropped his crossbow, looking at his bloodied hand.
"S-Shit, I…don't wanna…" Shirowe started as the icon on the center of belt cracked while his body started "glitching". "…die…"
As Shirowe's body went limp, it seemingly disintegrated into blackish red dust.
"MISSION FAILED!"
The Slug Jyamato unleashed everything it had in the city, destroying buildings with its tendrils and even firing a laser. Unfortunately for the three, that laser hit the building and as a result, the roof started crumbling.
Lucy held onto the railing, but it proved to be her undoing as her part of the roof started to crumble and fall.
"Shit!" Lucy cursed as she tried to make her way to more stable ground, but it was too late. The part of the roof she was on gave way, causing her to plummet off the building
"Oh no!" V noticed and tried to help, but it was too late as she was already out of reach.
Fortunately for Lucy, David was nearby and noticed.
"Lucy!" He noticed a parked van coming up, which gave him an idea. The young man hit a red button on his bike, causing it to speed up. David then performed a wheelie and used the parked vehicle as a makeshift ramp.
The biker flew up to Lucy's level and caught her by the arm. Lucy looked extremely surprised as the touch felt…familiar, while David gently pulled her into the back of his seat before landing safely on the street.
V sighed in relief as Jackie looked down and noticed David.
"Carajo, always with the fucking theatrics…" Jackie muttered.
"Who the hell was that?"
"The final player in this game." Jackie said as he noticed David was driving in the direction of the boss. "He's damn insane though."
"We gotta get to them." V said before the two guys see a small army of Pawn Jyamatos between them and the exit.
"Stay behind me, V. I got this." Jackie said as he took out his Zombie Buckle and slotted it into the right side of his Driver.
"SET!"
(With David and Lucy)
David stopped the bike halfway on his route to the Slug Jyamato to drop off Lucy.
"You should be safe here." David said as they got off the bike. He then removed his helmet and Lucy squinted her eyes at him.
She couldn't tell why, but there was a sense of déjà vu when she peered into those brown eyes.
"Something up?" David asked, noticing her stare.
"Oh, uh, thanks for saving me." Lucy said gratefully, while she couldn't help but feel that she knows him from somewhere.
"It's no problem, really." David said as he was just glad that he saved her in time. This wasn't exactly how he planned they would meet again, but he's not complaining. Better than her trying to con him.
Lucy then took a step back as she looked at David's uniform.
"Are you with those other guys?"
"The other Riders? Yeah." David nodded.
"So, is it true then? This world is ending?"
David didn't say anything but nodded once more.
"So why bother even making an attempt to save it?" Lucy questioned as she let her feelings loose on this stranger. "This world is rigged from the start. If those monsters wouldn't kill us, then it's the corps that'll do us in. Night City is always a static prison of light. Might as well just let these monsters break open that cage. At least we'll die slightly free."
David smiled at that as Lucy realized she just poured her feelings out to this person she never met before in her life. Why was it so easy to tell him? Who was he? Why did he make her feel this way?
"I used to feel the same way." David replied as he briefly looked at the sky. "But someone once told me that you can always change the world, if you keep trying,"
"Sounds like something from a corny movie. You really believe that bullshit?"
"Well, this world was once inhabited by dinosaurs, you know. They went extinct, but this world kept moving."
"And how is that supposed to be relevant here?" Lucy questioned.
"Because, in this case, how about we end the world here on our terms? So, we can get another chance?"
"Huh?"
Before David can elaborate, he noticed a bunch of the monsters along with the Final Boss approaching them.
"Damn, really got some distance while we were talking…oh well." David smirked as he walked up.
"Are you crazy!? They'll kill you!" Lucy warned, but that didn't deter the man.
"Don't worry, I'm built different." David assured as he took out a device, resembling a buckle.
The buckle's attachment slot is crescent shaped, with a disk/gear that's white with a red lighting, and the handle is black with a red button.
The man smirked as he inserted the device into the right side of his Driver.
SET!
Just like that, a holographic energy revolver chamber appeared with the logo "MAGNUM" appearing right next to him. David pointed his right hand at them before snapping his fingers.
SNAP!
"Henshin!"
He turns the small wheel and presses the trigger on the handle.
At that action, multiple energy bullets were shot out of the belt, with them flying around the logo before coming back and shooting right through. Then it dispersed into metalic parts/holograms before it forges into white armor.
MAGNUM!
Two metalic rings appeared around him and moved up and down, placing a black body suit on him before a kitsune mask dropped onto his helmet and the white armor was grabbed by a holographic robotic hand that appeared from behind before being pulled into the man, solidifying. This turned his helmet's eyes orange and gave him a white and red mouthpiece while a white scarf emerged from his back.
READY? FIGHT!
His head is now covered by a white helmet with the eyes red, and "ears" in a similar model after a white fox. His armor is white as its shown, simply with it being on his chest, shoulders, and add-on arm extentions. This is Kamen Rider Geats.
"A kitsune?" Lucy remarked as Geats pulled out his holstered gun.
"MAGNUM SHOOTER 40X!"
"Now then, time for the MVP highlight!"
He then charged headfirst into the small army, shooting any monsters that were charging back. When one was close enough, Geats easily dodged the attack before following up with a shot to the face, instantly killing the monster.
Soon more monsters appeared with spears as they started trying to jab the fox Rider. Geats managed to dodge all their attacks with ease before jumping onto a nearby overhead bridge and firing rapid shots at the attacking group, destroying them with ease.
Soon more Pawn Jyamatos appeared on the roof nearby with guns of their own as they tried to fire back at Geats. The Rider quickly went for cover, shooting back.
The bullets soon hit the monsters, knocking them off the roof and onto the hard pavement below. Geats ran back onto the street and punched on nearby Pawn Jyamato with his free hand before kicking another from behind with a side kick.
The impact of the kick sent the creature flying into a nearby wall, making an indent. Soon more of the monsters surrounded Geats and ran around him in a circle.
"Really gonna play this game here?" Geats wondered as he stood, seemingly doing nothing. "It's not bad but…"
The circle soon stopped as one of the monsters broke off to try to stab Geats from behind. The Rider responded by easily dodging.
"You guys just suck." Geats finished as the rest of the monsters charged.
Geats jumped back before they get him. Mid-air, the Rider pulled on the back handle of his gun, charging it up.
"BULLET CHARGE!"
Geats fired charged up rapid shots at the group, destroying them in a small explosion. As he landed on his feet, the remainder of the Pawn Jyamatos charged at Geats from all sides. Geats himself didn't seem concerned as a gun barrel folded out from his left wrist onto his hand.
Now dual-wielding, Geats started firing bullets at all sides. He was like a machine, easily mowing them down as if they were nothing. Lucy couldn't help but watch in awe at the carnage. She didn't get a scan at him, but it was obvious that this kid was an organic, or at least, mostly. How the hell is he this good?
Once the lesser monsters were wiped out, Geats finally focused on the Final Boss. The Slug Jyamato roared as it fired a laser at Geats.
"Oh crap!" Geats jumped onto the nearby roof before the laser can hit him. The Rider then folded a barrel extension onto his gun.
"RIFLE!"
Geats aimed through the scope as he started shooting the tendrils off the giant monster, causing it to whale in pain. Geats tried shooting the main body, only for his bullets to ricochet off.
"As expected of the final boss, but I have my own trump card." Geats remarked as he removed his Magnum Buckle and replaced it with the red Buckle that he used earlier ago.
"SET!"
The holographic logo of the word, "BOOST", appeared next to him covered in flames. Geats then revved the motorcycle handle on the buckle, opening up and exhausting flames. The flames destroyed the logo and just like with Magnum, the remnants of the logo transformed into red armor.
The same holographic robotic hand appeared behind Geats, grabbed the armor, and pulled it into Geats. This replaced Geat's white armor with the red one, replaced his gun with wristguards that had exhaust pistons, and lastly turned the eyes on Geats's helmet yellow while sporting a new mouthpiece.
"BOOST!"
"READY? FIGHT!"
The transformed Geats used Boost's power to call forth his bike, which he just jumped onto. Geats revved the engine as he drove towards the giant flying monster, where the latter tried firing laser beams at the former.
Geats drove and dodged each blast before he sped up, used the debris nearby as another ramp, and…allowed himself and the bike to be swallowed whole by the monster.
The Slug Jyamato burped as it seemingly enjoyed its meal, much to everyone's disbelief.
"Did he…just got eaten?" Lucy questioned with widened eyes, trying to process what just happened while V and buffa nearby were just as baffled.
"What the fuck?" V simply asked.
"What the hell is the kid thinking?" Buffa added.
The giant monsters soon roared in displeasure before crashing to the ground as everyone noticed small explosions occurring all over its body. Inside its castle, Geats emerged from the main body driving and crashing through everything.
'If the exterior is solid, gotta take it out from the inside!' Geats thought he started speeding up with the exhaust mufflers from his wrists emitting firing, allowing him to move at Mach speed.
Withing a few moments, Geats drove out of the nearby window and flew before landing past Lucy.
Geats immediately got off and inserted the Magnum Buckle into the left slot of his belt.
"SET!"
Geats then revved the Boost Buckle before spinning the wheel and pressing the trigger of Magnum.
"DUAL ON!"
Soon the Magnum armor reappeared but refitted to look more like leg armor than chest armor. The holographic robotic arm appeared behind him and latched the Magnum armor to his legs.
"GET READY FOR: BOOST AND MAGNUM!"
Lucy looked at Geats in disbelief while Geats focused on finishing off the Final Boss.
"Time to end this." Geats pressed a button on the top of his driver and turned it, allowing the Buckles to trade sides.
"REVOLVE ON!"
Geats floated up in the as he was placed into a holographic wheel as his mask was removed from his helmet. With the exception of his belt, save for his Core ID, his body rotated and shifted along with his armor. The Magnum armor was now on his chest while Boost was reconfigured for his legs.
"The fuck?" Lucy couldn't believe what she was seeing as Geats only toggled his Buckles once more.
"BOOST TIME!"
The exhaust mufflers on Geats's ankles pointed downward and propelled him upwards while his bike transformed into a mechanical fox that flew up with him. Once they were high up in the air, Geats landed on his companion's back as he got a good look at the beast before revving the Boost Buckle one last time.
"MAGNUM-BOOST: GRAND VICTORY!"
Geats then jumped off the mechanical kitsune and his exhaust mufflers rotated upwards, allowing the Rider to fly at the monster in a burning side kick with the Booststriker following behind him for an added boost. A large image of his icon appeared at his feet as Geats's attack went through the giant monster, causing it to die in multiple fiery explosions.
Meanwhile the armored man landed safely on the other side, smiling underneath his helmet as he had just won the game.
(At the DGP Lobby)
"David Martinez…" The masked Gamemaster muttered as he watched everything that went on from the monitor.
"The main goal was to protect the civilians, but he went the extra mile and defeated the Final Boss on his own." Tsumuri reported.
He looked at his assistant.
"Show me his wish."
Tsumuri nodded as she took out a card from a nearby bin and handed it to the man. The Gamemaster read the written wish before giving it back.
"Very well, David Martinez shall have his wish…this time." The Gamemaster then left, allowing Tsumuri to have a big smile on her face.
"And with that, a new Desire God has been chosen! Congratulations, Kamen Rider Geats…David Martinez!" Tsumuri announced as she hopped in joy.
"MISSION CLEAR!"
(In the Play Area)
"MISSION CLEAR!"
Buffa checked his phone and saw that Geats has taken 1st place, making the latter the winner of this DGP.
"Damn…"
Meanwhile Lucy approached Geats, who gestured her to stop.
"Uh, wait! Before we can talk…" Geats then looked the other way as his Boost Buckle started heating up before suddenly ejecting from his belt, dismissing the leg portion of his armor.
Lucy dodged the sudden flying Buckle, before it went upwards into the sky. As the Boost Buckle left the area, Geats removed his remaining Buckle, allowing him to revert back to David.
"So…I believe you have some questions." David smiled, while Lucy just looked about done.
"Yeah, what the FUCK was all this about?" Lucy asked.
"…A game." David simply replied.
"A game? All this carnage? Destruction? Death? All of that…was for a game?" Lucy asked, making sure that she was understanding this right.
"Not just any game. But the game to all games. With the power to remake the world as the grand prize. And I just won it." David smirked as Lucy saw that the human corpses were vanishing while the buildings were seemingly fixing themselves.
"W-What's going on?" Lucy asked as she suddenly heard the bell ringing.
"A new world is forming." David explained as he approached her with a soft smile that made her blush for some reason. "I'll see you on the other side, Lucy."
Lucy was even more confused as she never told this man her name. David just smiled as he turned and started walking away.
"Hey!" Lucy called and tried to go after him fir answers, but a bell has started ringing in her ears. "Wait, come back!"
The ringing was starting to get louder and louder, but the Netrunner persisted as she tried going after him once more. As she did her vision started getting blurry and her body feeling weak, but she pressed on for a little while longer.
She was soon at the point where she seemingly collapsed as her vision finally went dark.
…
GASP!
Lucy immediately opened her eyes and sat up, regaining all her energy. To her surprise, she found herself in the bed of her apartment as she looked at the time to see that it was morning.
She then rushed out of bed and looked out the window to see that everything seemed normal in Night City.
"Oh…it was all a dream." Lucy waved off as she tried to recall what happened, but the more she thought about it, it became foggier and foggier to recall. "But…what was that dream again?"
The young woman seemed then shrugged it off as she took a shower and changed into her usual outfit. She then went to the local ramen stand near her apartment.
As Lucy was eating, she suddenly got a text message from her boss Maine.
MAINE: Haven't heard from Gloria in a while about my Sandy. Think something happened to her and the implant. Keep an eye out.
[MAINE has sent 1 attachment]
Lucy saw the image of the Sandevistan implant that Maine's usual supplier, Gloria Martinez, was supposed to send him.
'Déjà vu…' Lucy mentally remarked before Tsumuri approached her with an open box. "Um, can I help you?"
"Congratulations! After much consideration, you have been selected to compete in the Desire Grand Prix!" Tsumuri announced, confusing Lucy.
"Desire what?"
"As of this day, you are now a Kamen Rider!" Tsumuri continued as she handed Lucy the box before walking away.
"Wait!" Lucy tried calling her, but her words seemed to fall on deaf ears as the mysterious woman vanished.
The Netrunner then looked at the box's contents, containing a black technological device and a black chip with an animal icon on it. She grabbed the chip, wanting to examine it further, only for a small burst of energy transferred from the chip to her.
Lucy's eyes widened as the memory of the last game emerged in her mind from the mysterious monsters rampaging throughout the city to the Riders showing up and saving the day. But tears emerged from her eyes as more memories emerged in her mind.
"Woah, check it out! I can feel the fucking sun!"
"Gonna take you there myself! Fly you to the moon! That's a promise!"
"Sorry, wish we can go to the moon together…"
"I'm sorry, David. I can't accept this…"
"D-David…" Lucy cried as she finally remembered in clear detail who that man was.
David Martinez, the love of her life, has returned to her.
(With Tsumuri)
The DGP representative didn't stop with Lucy, she's been going around Night City all day to hand over invitations in the form of Desire Drivers and Core ID.
"Congratulations, you have been selected to participate in the Desire Grand Prix. As of this day, you are now a Kamen Rider!" Tsumuri said as she handed a box to a member of the Maelstrom gang.
No one was barred from entering the DGP, regardless if they were Corpo, gang member, or even Nomad.
"Congratulations, you have been selected to participate in the Desire Grand Prix. As of this day, you are now a Kamen Rider!" Tsumuri said as she handed a box to some students in Arasaka Academy.
Later, she appeared in the office of a certain Counterintelligence agent with a box.
"Congratulations, you have been selected to participate in the Desire Grand Prix. As of this day, you are now a Kamen Rider!"
"A Kamen Rider?" V asked, looking very confused as Tsumuri gave him his box, containing another Desire Driver and a green Core ID with the icon of what seemed to be a tanuki.
As Tsumuri left, she went to the other remaining player of the last DGP; Jackie Welles, who was currently chilling at his spot in El Coyote.
"Congratulations, you have been selected to participate in the Desire Grand Prix. As of this day, you are now a Kamen Rider!"
Jackie just stared at her with a very confused look on his face as if he's never seen before her in his life.
"Who are you?"
(With David)
David smiled as breathed the air of a brand-new day in a brand-new world.
"Welcome Lucy…to my world." David quietly said to himself as boarded the NCART tram, which soon closed the doors and started moving to a new destination.
"Next stop: Japantown." The PA announced as the young man smiled eagerly as he knew that Lucy would've remembered him fully by now.
Unknown to him, Tsumuri was not that far away from him on the tram. The DGP rep soon spotted him and smiled as she started approaching him with a box in hand.
A new Desire Grand Prix was about to begin and it wouldn't be the same without its current reigning champ.
AN: And that's my Geats concept! I got the idea because Cyberpunk Edgerunners has been my favorite anime of 2022 and thought it would fit Geats because the concept of Cyberpunk is saving yourself and reaching out for your desire/wish in the "City of Dreams".
Obviously, I can't make this a story for obvious reasons on my end, but Geats is currently ongoing at the time of this posting.
I am also proud to announce that I'll also be uploading this concept on another platform that I will be trying out, so we'll see how that goes.
