sword dragon and the phoenix -chapter 11 – real mission and painful engagement
I lost a day to illness so parts I planned will be cut off with Yusuke's first mission, so I will mostly summarize the event of it more than I planned
I will cover episodes 7-9 due to the time I lost yesterday as well as it helps the pacing
This chapter will have Yusuke get his first mission and his family while Issei tries to do the same
After that issei picks a fight and has to train to prepare for said fight as Yusuke will have to leave for his own training
Yusuke pov
The next day, the blue haired woman Boton took me to Koenma and he gave me the details of the items I needed to find and then the child like prince of half the Japanese Buddhist dead faction told me, "don't bother to hunt for a familiar, one was formed from part of your soul when it left your body, the catch is said familiar will need to hatch first. I would say give or take six months to a year and it will be ready for you. As for what a familiar does as your peerage mates."
After I got home, Shirou explained what a familiar was and what it would do for me. in a basic sense the red haired older boy said "for us they distribute fliers so that people know to summon us to do jobs, but with your contract, I assume the one you are getting will be more useful in combat.
After that, my peerage mates provided me with tools to make my mission to find the three treasures much easier and if I didn't have to wait until a full moon rose, I would have finished the mission in one night, but I ended up spending three nights over just one and learned I would soon get a chance to get some real training soon enough.
Then after the mission was done, the peerage mates introduced me to their familiars in the form of house cats that roamed around the property as night and then each changed into human forms.
Issei pov
Before I was about to go out spreading fliers with Asia, Rias stopped us and said, "you won't need to do that anyone since you will be getting familiars to do it for you." Then she brought in each other member of the peerage and they showed off their own familiars and said, "tomorrow we will be going a place to get you two familiars if they work out right." But when that came, we learned both the student council was another peerage of devils and they wanted to go to get familiars as well. but due to devil politics that lead to the two leaders having to compete over who could first. That led to an insane tennis match with the entire student body watching. Until their powers went over the limits of the equipment and the match ended with a team dodge ball match the next day to decide who would go.
Said match ended up with our win and getting to go hunt familiars in the best location to find familiars. We met a weird man who rhymed. But I didn't find one that fit what I needed. But Asia ended up getting a small dragon after we had to fight slime monsters. But I ended up not getting the chance to get one myself due to the battle with the slimes.
Shirou pov
It was the night after I got word that Rias' newest peerage member claimed a familiar, that my dragon spoke to me in a dream and said "as the time comes close, I need to reveal my true name to you. It is Bahamut and I absorbed this world's version of the same named dragon not long ago." I then asked him "why are you telling me this?" that because the red dragon emperor is on the verge of awakening and with him also the white dragon will come as well. You need to be ready for more change to come, your chance to show me off will be soon as well.
With that I woke up with Mordred strangely in my bed and woke her up to say. "Get to the kitchen we will need to talk as a peerage soon."
The next day, I had a dream about marrying Rias, but as I was about to kiss my bride, a voice boomed and then took the shape of a dragon to say "my partner, I am ready for you to use more of my power soon. The platinum emperor already woke up a few months ago. You need to me be ready to compete.
After that school went as normal with a peeping session in the middle that got me hit by Koneko then healed by Asia. After that, I got to see Asia by accident in the bath and was surprised she wanted to see me just as much. Then came an even more shocking twist as Rias teleported into my room asking me to take her virginity. I wasn't sure about it and while I took my time, a maid teleported and stopped us. then soon teleported out of the room.
The next morning, I went to school wondering what was happening and when asking Kiba learned it was bad news that I really wouldn't like.
Shirou pov
It was as my peerage was heading to the club room, Ravel said "my brother has arrived for Rias, it will be soon time for us to make our move but for now we should wait at my home until the time is right.
On getting home, Ravel soon directed us to set up teleport circle director and said, "get it ready fast we need to set everything up as before he leaves the school." then Yusuke asked, "why are you trying to catch your brother?" Ravel replied "to try and force him into a rating game with very fun stakes. Mostly to force him and the rest of my family to accept my peerage and force my brother under my heel. Now isn't the best time but it should be our best chance to get things fully set up." Yusuke then spoke in up and asked, "what's a rating game?" Halsin said "it is a battle between devil peerages with high stakes but those are staked in our favor." With that we kept setting things up as fast as we could.
Issei pov
As soon we entered the club room, a teleportation circle popped up with Rias Fiancé Raiser Phoenix. But Rias didn't want to get with the arrogant prick that was the blond man. But the maid that stopped us before said we could do a rating game to decide Rias' fate. But after looking over our peerage Raiser soon summoned his own and revealed he had nearly a complete set of evil pieces with harem of hot girls. I tried to attack the man with my sacred gear but soon learned the difference in power between myself and devil girls of more experience. as one of the girls blocked my path and knocked me out. I was left to think Rias would take the deal no matter what.
Yusuke pov
it was a few minutes later that, I learned what we set up worked as a blond man teleported into the dojo and Ravel addressed him with "brother, I am sure your recent meeting with lady Rias went well. but don't you want to also complete your peerage, I know you are missing me as that last Bishop. As you can see, I have a decently complete peerage myself and would like to have a game with you." The man tried to get up but clearly couldn't as he said, "what do you want out of this enough to bring me to this hovel?" she replied with we put up the same stakes if you win you get me and my peerage to do with as you wish but I get the same. Now I will send you back and let you decide what you want to do." I could tell as mostly Ravel and Shirou looked at the man he wasn't happy, but he could tell we had him trapped.
With that she activated a trigger on the device to teleport him away as I heard a ring at the door. Said person at the door was my contact with the Buddhist faction Botan saying, "I may have found you a training opportunity." As Ravel said, "good that's means Yusuke won't be completely worthless in the coming battle."
Issei pov
When I came to, I learned we would get two weeks from school, but it would be completely dedicated to training. Asia and I would train in our various devil powers and build up our bodies as well. I even learned Ravel and her peerage would come and give us some help with different sides of magic as well and give us some tips to battle her brother.
But I still wasn't fully grasping what I needed to excel as a devil. But in figured out I was good at being a perv and Shirou gave me ideas on how to use my magic as Ravel told us, "My brother's only weakness is holy items at least that I know. If you can figure out a way to use that without hurting yourselves, it makes work. The other trick is using his sense of honor to win. but both will be hard. I would say the odds are very much stacked against your peerage of winning but even if you lose. We have a backup plan just in case. But I can't say it yet."
The next day, I finally got to train with my sacred gear and got to see what training could do. But I could tell I might not be ready yet. I knew the power I gained would be the key to winning this game. but I hoped I could control it enough with my other new trick to win.

Next chapter will have Yusuke battle to the get the training he needs while Issei has to battle for the girl he loves
