Tom Nook whistled as he entered The Roost, noticing that no one was inside. He was quite surprised as he approached Brewster. "Something up, Brewster? You don't look like your usual self."
"Oh, it's nothing, except those plant girls with the lemonade stand took most of my usual customers." Brewster remarked as he poured himself a cup of coffee and sipped it, shaking his head. 'There's not much you can do about it. Competition is competition."
"I guess you're right. I'm glad no one else sells houses in these parts. Or any parts with an Animal Crossing town." Tom Nook laughed as he payed Brewster in bells, patiently awaiting his own cup of coffee. "You know how rowdy people would be to get the best prices. And knowing my tactics..."
As the two furry animals kept chatting while drinking coffee, Lakithunder emerged in, moving his hands around as he was actually on his own two feet instead of being within his Thundercloud.
"Did you see the commercial Lilligant and Whimsicott put up? It's charging up the airwaves!" Lakithunder exclaimed as he dashed to the counter, facing Brewster. "You're gonna have to do something shocking with your coffee to bring the spark back, Brewster!"
Brewster and Tom Nook looked at each other as they sighed, both of them weary of the Lakitu's lightning puns as Brewster knew he had a point.
