Chapter Ten - The 'Mazing Mrs Kim

Mrs Kim and Kirk had found their way to Vegas, had found the casino Drella was performing at, and now were backstage searching for her.

"Harpist? Harpist?" yelled Mrs Kim, while Kirk looked agog at the confused showgirls gathered round them.

"Maybe we should split up," suggested Kirk. "Double our chances."

Mrs Kim shrugged. "Very well. I head over there, it very brightly lit."

Kirk looked towards the bright light, thinking how well it would lend itself to shadow puppetry, but headed the other way, listening out for sounds of a harp, while Mrs Kim walked into the light, her hand shielding her eyes.

What neither Mrs Kim nor Kirk knew was that Drella had already been fired from the casino. For some reason, they didn't like her attitude. And so it was that Drella found herself sitting at the casino, having lost all her money on the slots, waiting for someone to come on stage and entertain her.

That was when the strange woman wandered onto the stage, doing some character schtick, pretending to be an old Korean woman. Looking out at the audience, she picked up the microphone, and started some strange surreal story of how some filth pig broke a vase and then ran away without paying for it. Like Drella herself, the audience couldn't help but laugh.

Staying in character, the woman pretended to get angry, demanding why they were laughing, asking if they'd broken the vase, and the more she protested the more they laughed.

And then she went on some strange flight of fancy, stalking boys in bathrooms, and trying to blend in in various countries, with ever-more-contrived accidents. It was the funniest thing Drella had ever seen. Maybe she should become this woman's agent, she'd make a fortune.

Finally, so annoyed by the audience's laughter, the so-called Mrs Kim stomped off the stage to large applause.

This was the comedy find of the century, and so Drella ran up to her, wanting a piece of the action.

"Hello, I'm Drella," she said, rushing up to 'Mrs Kim'.

"Did you break the vase?"

"No," said Drella, "but-" and then she realised Mrs Kim had disappeared.

Disappointed, she returned to her seat, knowing that whatever came next would be a disappointment. That's when some guy calling himself Kirk wandered onto the stage, claiming he was looking for Mrs Kim. The audience cheered, before he unleashed his hilariously bad shadow puppet show on them. This guy was going to go far.

Elsewhere the arch-nemesis cackled, not realising that the final act was about to arrive sooner than anyone could have predicted.
