Chapter 51: Battle of the Typhoeus

After the failed attempt to stop Cronus, the heroes and the keybladers returned to the school dorm to recover from the battle. The keybladers tried to understand about the guy named Kefka who was surprisingly powerful and took on Greymon with one strike with his magic and working with Cronus proved more difficult.

With news of three more chosen heroes found, so least made some progress to finding them. So that leaves only one more to find, but that be easier said than done.

While the others were training, Taren decided to take a stroll to get some bit of air around the area during lunch. Thinking about the second time that Kefka outsmarted them and used powerful magic to beat Agumon in his champion level with one hit with his power. A nut job maybe, but a dangerous nut job who released a mad titan to rule the planet.

"Just gotta get better and improve my skills." Thinking how the girls and their friends were doing when Mirta mentioned about some trouble at Alfea, hoping they were okay.

"Hey, Taren."

Taren turned around to find Mirta waving at him before coming over to see him. "Mirta, hey." Somehwat surprise to see her and wondered what Mirta wanted

"Hey, just thought to see how you were doing, you didn't stick around after lunch." Mirta stated and thought something was up.

"It's nothing to worry about. Just after what happened last night didn't go so well." Taren said.

Mirta remembered and still found that monster terrifying after what it did. "Yeah, never thought coming to earth for the first time to find there be magic. All of us assumed it vanished along with the Earth Fairies."

"We didn't think there be any magic at all on Earth before we met Bloom. But anyway, sorry we brought you into danger." Thinking she must have been freaked out after that battle.

This did not seem to make Mirta somewhat concerned about it and shrugged her shoulders. "Hey, it's not the first time I got into some danger. After finally standing up to the Trix, I felt this new feeling to do better, okay maybe being turned into a pumpkin was not the idea I had but least to have been worth it." She remembered how that happened but happy to be back to her normal self.

Ever since she got back to her normal state, Mirta decided to attend to Alfea to be a fairy. Knowing she wont see much of her friends but made promises to keep in touch with them with Lucy and Mal who won't be around much after defeating Tezzeret. She started practicing on her skills in illusions and become more braver liker the WInx and the keybladers, knowing the dangers she could face and the return of the Trix made Mirta to be more careful after she found out they got new powers. Hoping to be supportive as she can for her friends.

"Guess being around us had something to do with it." Taren said. "Maybe next time when we're not on adventures could bring you around some places, I'm sure Bloom wouldn't mind giving you and other first timers a tour, I've been to a few."

Hearing the offer sounded like a good idea for Mirta when she heard much about it until coming to Earth for the first time. "That sounds great, so long as no monsters involved."

The two decided to make their way back to the old man by the magazine stall, upon noticing the two as they walk passed him and seems to know who they were. "Well, it's a surprise to find a fairy in this part of the world, let a lone a wielder of the keybalde."

Both Taren and Mirta paused for a moment and spun around to see the stall owner who called out to them. Taren became suspicious and asked him a question. "Wait, how did you-"

"Find out? Quite simple, my boy." Pulls his shades to reveal his glowing eyes. "I am the Oracle, after all." Catching their attention and pulled the shades up once more. "I'm familiar with your work and what you kids have done to stop the fallen keybearer, but you have a long way to go. Especially those such as Kefka, and Darkar."

"You know the two?" Mirta asked, only to realise that it was a stupid question.

The Oracle scrunches and points his finger at her. "Of course I know! I see the past, present, and future. And if nothing is done to stop them, the future will be dark, especially with those two working together for a disaster to come."

If what he meant was true that this Kefka and Darkar are working together, it could only mean trouble for the keybladers and their friends. The Oracle continues to speak. "Before you ask what I see, I can only give what I can as part of the prophecy. Which I'm sure you are familiar with the Fates who gave you some info?"

Referring to the fates brought some memories about it, Taren nodded and had some advice about destinies and fates from certain experiences. "Don't worry, unless it's really important I won't need to see my future."

"Really?" The Oracle was almost curious. "Aren't you at least interest to find out? Perhaps it be something worth knowing."

"Yeah, I mean, maybe something important to know." Mirta said and thought if he wanted to find out a bit of his future.

Taren was most certain of it. "Positive, I don't need someone who tells me what my future be or what. It's mine how I make it."

The Oracle then chuckles. "I like the way you think, kid. If only the one in the green hoody was smart enough to think that."

Green hoody? Taren was curious of who he meant but didn't seem to be bothered for the moment. "Uh, right. Thanks. Listen, we better get going."

"To find the last chosen hero? Best of luck, ya gonna need it." But before the two would depart, the Oracle took a quick look at Mirta for a moment until they turned to the corner.. "I see something special coming your way, young lady. Something that would awaken your true gift."

Resumes his usual job to run the stall and sell newspapers and magazines.

Making they way back to see the others back at the dorm, finding Mal and Ben with their digimon present to rest from their battle. "Hey, guys. Sorry we were late." Taren said and carried a bag with food.

Mirta carried one to the table for them to share. "We thought you guys be hungry."

"Can't decline on an empty stomach." Mal accepted the offer and found some she could eat.

"Yum!" Palmon was eager to try out some of the food from Earth and was given an apple to munch on. Gabomon and Agumon helped themselves with snacks to build up their strength.

Taren remained on foot and pondered about the others while they were out. "Any word from the others?"

"Jay's bringing the two around to get settled in." Ben explains. "I'm not sure how much they know, but better for our Digimon be in our digivices for now."

Going along with his idea until the other teens would adjust to all that's going on. The Digimon complied and beamed in zapped into the digivices. Taren heard him say two more and thought there was three when they said to have found more. "Did you say three? What happened to the other?"

Mal answered that question. "From what Atlanta said, the guy named Archie decided to leave, thinking he wasn't good enough for the role."

"I'm sure he'll come around, I mean, didn't any of us feel that way?" Ben asked them of how they felt.

Mirta shrugged her shoulders and found it a plausible thought. "He's got a point."

They hear the door open to see Jay and Atlanta, accompanied by two people, one was a girl who had long orange/strawberry blonde hair, wearing a red top, a pair of jeans and white shoes. The second was a dark-skinned male who was shorter than the others while average slim build, wearing green-tinted glasses, a blue shirt, a red hoodie, light brown pants, and brown shoes. "Guys, this Theresa and Odie." Jay introduces them to the keybladers. "And these are Taren, Ben, and Mal. They came along to help us but have the sort of experience than we do."

From what they had been informed, Odie is the direct descendant of the famous Greek hero Odyssuus, the famous king of Ithaca who went on a decade long journey back home after the Trojan Wars. Theresa's ancestor was Thesus, the founder-king of Athen, son of Aegeus and Poseidon who fought in many battles against foes and mythical beasts.

"Nice to meet ya." Odie reached out his hand to shake with Ben's and then to Taren. Theresa shared a handshake with the girls and greeted the boys as they slowly settled to look around the place.

"This is… cosy." Theresa could only find the words to add while she picked up a book from the table.

"You get use to it, trust me." Mal said.

Theresa sighs and dropped the book and reached her hands above her head. "What a day."

"What happened?" Jay was curious and asked her.

She folded her arms and decided to tell them after meeting the Olympian gods, but seems to try understanding it all. "I still can't believe it. Daddy has just given me a brand new car for my birthday." Smiling over the memories she had of driving it and having the moment of fun. "All of a sudden…I had this weird moment and this flying monster bird came out of no where and attacked me, totally wrecked the car and would have had me, if it weren't for the arrival of that Hermes guy riding a griffin."

"Ooh, happy birthday." Jay gave a compliment, while understanding how she must feel of being scared and confused. Not something anyone would wanted to experience on their birthday.

"Thanks." She appreciated the gesture.

"I wonder where Cronus found that creature." Jay pondered over the description of the one she encountered. "I thought he only had the giants and Typhoeus?"

"Probably recruited more than we thought, or maybe Kefka was helping him." Taren thought.

"Giants? Typhoeus?" Theresa had no idea what they were on about and still left out of what happened.

"Cronus wrecked my wheels too." Odie said

"You saw him?" Atlanta thought if he did actually met him.

"No, I had a run in with his pig." Odie told them.

"A pig?" Mirta thought if she heard him correctly.

"How did that happen?" Ben asked him.

Decided to tell them his story and how it happened. "Well, more like it had a run in with me. I was just riding my scooter when suddenly this large pig, all red and black came out of nowhere and trashed my ride. I was cornered when suddenly Hermes came to my rescue and put it into some sleep."

Taren leans towards Ben to whisper. "From the description you think it be a relative of Pumba."

With the possible facts that Cronus knows about them proved he was almost a step a head of the others, making the heroes more concerned of the situation. "So, Cronus knows who we are and how to find us. But, there's supposed to be seven of us. There's six of us now, I wonder where the other one is?"

That question did came into the keybladers' minds to know. "That's something we want to know as well." Taren said.

"Hera told us about Cronus." Theresa explained when she heard the whole thing about the Titan.

"Yeah, sounds like he has serious control issues." Odie said.

"Can we get back to that bit about the giants and the Typhoeus? Whatever that is." Theresa sounded nervous when they brought up about the previous subject.

"It's a flying fire breathing giant with snakes for legs." Atlanta gave the description of the monster they fought last night.

"And also best to watch out for a crazy villain who's working with them." Ben added.

"Come on, you want a tour of the dorm?" Atlanta offered to show her around the place.

"Uh, sure. Thanks" Theresa was a little hesitant and followed her.

Odie let out a chuckle, thinking this was a joke to humor them. "Fire-breathing giant? Yeah, right." But he noticed the rest of the group had a serious look on their faces when she actually meant it. "Are you serious?"

"Believe me, we wouldn't be making it up if weren't." Mirta still had some terrifying thoughts of the monster when it burned down the ship.

"And other stuff you guys will find that's for sure." Taren added while thinking of their reaction to the wider universe.

Atlanta led Theresa outside the backyard to give her some fresh air after a quick tour, knowing she was a little freaked out with what's happened.

Theresa followed her outside, still believing. it was some crazy idea of a show or in her head despite what happened to her. "Okay, so where are the cameras? This has got be a reality TV show."

Atlanta could not blame her when she felt the same way. "This is for real, trust me I've seen Cronus. You look into his eyes and there's nothing but evil in there. Plus, this guy named Kefka is like some sort of Joker-version villain, only he's in it for the cause of chaos."

"I can't wait to meet them then." Theresa said and didn't like the sound of it. Then another question came to her and asked the red head. "Uh, so… what's the deal with you and Jay? You… going out with him?"

"Huh?" Atlanta thought where that came from and obviously shown no interest in hi, unless she was curious to know about him.

Herry entered the living room to find the others and noticed a new guest. "Herry, this is Odie, he's one of us." Jay introduces Herry to Odie.

He smiles at the shorter teen when Jay said he was one of the chosen heroes. "How you doin'"

Odie got to his feet and held out his fist to Herry. "Good."

The brunet looked confused by the gesture and decided to shake his hand, only to make a little firmer grip. Taren could see the discomfort on Odie's face and should have warned him about Herry being very strong.

"Odie was just wondering why we can't find anything as big as the Typhoeus." Jay explained to him and believed with his high intellect would be useful and find out why no one reported a sighting of the titan recently.

"With a flying monster on the loose, it would have been on the news by now." Ben stated and believed they were in hiding.

Odie pulled his hand out of the handshake to note on Herry's incredible strength, but still doubted their claim even when he learned the truth of the supposed myths he witnessed. "No offense, but something like that is gonna stand out in the crowd."

"Unless it's in hiding in plain sight." Mal added.

"We'll find it, and Cronus." Jay assured them. "We didn't exactly have time to ask for them for a forwarding address."

Herry would agree with him on that while he sat down on the couch. "Yeah we had a couple of things to worry about, like staying alive."

"Don't forget about Kefka, he's responsible for letting Cronus and a few others out of Tartarus." Taren said.

"Kefka?" Odie asked.

"One to be concerned about." Jay stated.

Herry decided to switch on the TV to see what was on to watch when the news came on with the news anchorman giving the report.

"And the electrical crews try and find the cause of the local power brownouts in the city, there's one man that has his own shocking theory."

The screen changed to an old man who was a worker of the dam and looked frantic and scared.

"It came out of no where! A huge flying monster spewing fire!"

This caught the teens' attention and realised where Cronus would possibly be.

"I'll go let the girls know what we found." Taren offered and got up from his seat. He found the two outside and came out. "Hey, we just found something on the news and-"

"Shh!" Theresa shushed him when the two girls looked alarmed and whispered in a low tone. "There's someone there."

Taren believed it had to be some intruder or a spy, he followed them to couch down and crept to the gates with Atlanta in front and Theresa in between. "Any ideas?"

Atlanta had one in mind. "We'll attack first, ask questions later. On three, okay."

"Got it." Taren nodded and was trained for some situations like this.

Theresa looked unsure about this. "When you say three or right after you say two."

"Three, now!" Taren decided to cut in and surprise the intruder while they had the chance. The three pounced on the unknown person who swatted Atlanta aside, Therese jumped to make a kick but was grabbed by the ankle and tossed over. Taren came to the side and swiped his right foot while under his opponent, however the unknown intruder managed to jump and landed in between them. He studied the person's appearance and noticed he had some purple hair, a blue hooded jacket that matched his shorts. What he noticed was some sort of gold armoed brace strapped to his right shin.

"Archie?" Atlanta looked surprised and know him.

"Archie?" Taren heared that name before, he was suppose to be one of the chosen heroes and descendant of Achilles but chose to leave when told it was not his sort of thing. "You mean this is him?"

"You know this guy?" Theresa sounded surprised.

"He's supposed to be one of us." Atlanta stated and curious to what he was doing.

"Then what were you doing sneaking around?" Taren asked him.

That was something Atlanta was curious about as well. "Yeah, that's what I wanted to know."

"I was checking the perimeter, making sure it's safe." Archie explained his reason when suddenly the lights went out.

"Guess we now know where he could be." Ben said and before they could find out more of what was happening, the lights suddenly went out, including the TV and even the whole building. "Now what?"

"Guys, I think it's not just us." Mirta looked through the window and realised the lights were out as well.

She was correct with the city in black out, no electricity was pouring in and was in complete darkness.

The course of the black out was done by Cronus' minions who took over the dam and switched off the power, Cronus looked over to the map to see the areas of the region now cut off. "Is everything ready?" He asked the giant who had the lower half of a polar bear, while other had legs that would have matched the first one, almost as if the two had swapped parts of themselves.

The giant grunted while nodding his head to confirm the Titan's question. "Good, then divert the power." Giving another order to begin his plans.

"Someone's in a good mood. I see you're enjoying yourself?" Kefka walked into the room and smiled. "I'm excited to see what performance you will bring, the sound of people screaming would be music to my ears. And on front row seats!"

Cronus smiles towards his partner and ally. "Oh, believe me, Kefka. It will be spectacular."

"Great! And since we're dealing with keyblades, I know just the ones who have experiences with them, at least stall them long enough for this to work."

Cronus nodded and accepted more help so long as they deal with the mortals that threaten him. "Very well, I'll leave that to you."

"Provided they're not ticked off after my little… act." Kefka chuckled and received a questionable look from Cronus. "Long story, be right back. I'd be an idiot to miss this."

Using the magic to teleport himself away as Cronus was looks down on the map with his plans in motion.

"Sleep well, mortals, tomorrow will bring the dawn of a new era and those who live through it will serve me." A wide grin formed with the thought of ruling the world once more and within his grasp to see the ruins of humanity fall before him. "Heh, who am I kidding! No one's going to live through it! Hehahaha! No one!" Letting out a laughter and cackled like a mad man with no concern for the potential victims.

The heroes returned to Olympus High and decided to prepare themselves for the coming fight, the gods decided to offer them weapons and equipment to stand a better chance against Cronus and his forces. They were surprised the place was still operating with power and find the high tech at their disposal.

"Wow, talk about going all high tech." Mal complimented on the use of weapons.

"You have power here?" Odie asked the God of War Ares, a strong build male with brown hair on the back and a bushy mustache, wearing an ancient Greek Armor.

"You could say this place is off the grid. Ever since the previous Keyblade War and the recent Grimm attacks, we decided to be prepared and made the finest weapons from New Olympus and Radiant Garden." Ares explains and brought a gold hilt to Jay. Jay triggered a switch and a blade extend. "It's a gravitational blade."

"Nice." Jay liked the feel of it, thinking of trying it out for practice.

Theresa took out a pair of nunchucks. "Hm, these are cute and deadly." Twirling and spinning them around and had a good grip of the handle like an expert.

Atlanta was impressed of how she was good with it. "Where'd you learn to use those?"

"I was a black belt when I was 12, while the other rich girls were bored, I was restless." Theresa said.

"This brings back some memories when we started our training." Ben said and looked at the weapons.

"These are the finest weapons made for combat, and doubt you three need them given with your keyblades' abilities." Ares commented.

"That's fine for us." Mal said.

"Hey, check these out!"

They turned to find Mirta who held what appeared to be a chakram, it was circular-shaped with a reddish brown colour theme and grip in the centre of the blade. Held it firmly in her hand and tested the weight of it. "You don't mind if I use this?"

The God of War did not seem to mind it at all. "Knock yourself out, kiddo." Ares held out a spear in his hand and turned his attention to Odie who was sitting on the stairs with his laptop. "Odie? Would you like a weapon?"

"Uh, no I'm good, thanks." Odie waved his hand to decline the offer. "Hermes gave me my weapon already. Satellite connection, the works, its portable and powerful."

"Remind us to introduce you to Tecna and Timmy, you three would have a lot in common." Ben said, and also thinking perhaps introduce him to Cid, Ansem and other scientists who could show him some of their tech during the break between missions.

Atlanta tried out one of the gadgets, which were three steel balls connected to each other by steel cable, accidentally released them from her grip and watched as they opened into three digit points before they hooked onto a statue's nose and broke it. She caught them when they bounced back in her direction and already smiling of how effective they were.

Mal giggled and smiled. "Nice work, red."

"Now we're talking!" Atlanta proclaimed and wanted to use them. "Can I have these?"

Ares was stunned and shocked, but annoyed how they showed no respect to the statues and damage done. "All the weapons here are at your disposal, but the statues are mine!" He made a stern reminder to the teens to not do anymore damage to his property.

Getting a clear message and walks away to the others while Herry came over to Ares to ask something. "So how can we beat the Typhoeus?"

"Beat it with lightning bolts then drop a mountain on its head." Ares simply put it.

"Yeah… okay." Herry wasn't sure if he was serious when they have nothing of that.

"That's how Zeus defeated it, you kids may have to think of another strategy." Ares told them.

Taren thought of some ideas when they can use Lightning commands but something else would need to bring down a Titan beast, maybe contact his dad to ask how he fought the Titans when he was a kid. Turns to see Archie and give his apology about what happened while Theresa was next to him. "Hey, Archie? Uh, sorry about what happened, didn't know who it was and assumed you were someone else."

"It's no problem, I would have done the same thing." Archie said. "So, you three are some sort of heroes with magic?"

"Yeah." Summons his keyblade to show the Light's Rebellion to them. "These are our keyblades, each of us have a different kind and hold different types of magic."

"Wow!" Theresa was amazed of how it looks. "Do we get to try it?"

"Sorry, but unlike the others, these Keyblades only choose their wielders." Ben explained when he joined in. "You'd only hold it for a moment and they vanish."

"Never knew something like that exists." Archie said.

"Are we done here guys?" Odie asked them and turned his laptop around. "It looks like the electricity is out along the whole seaboard, and all the power is being transferred to the station where your fire-breathing friend was last seen."

"Nice work, Odie." Ben sounded impressed.

"But if the Typhoeus there, so is Cronus." Jay was certain of it.

"Most likely." Mal agreed with him.

"Let's take my truck." Herry pulled out a pair of keys .

A truck drove to the dam to fix up the power after the blackout happened, the workers were puzzled by the lack of response and decided to check it out for themselves.

"Uh, I don't understand why there's no response from the station?" One of the workers pondered about it until they saw a large shadow flew over them, gasped in terror of the sight of the monster titan Typhoeus in the air. Let out a beastly roar and spewed flames from his mouth along with the serpent legs to blow up the truck, fortunately for the workers they managed to escape and run for their lives.

Cronus was on top of a cliff and chuckled in delight to seeing the mortals run in fear while continuing his work, watching as the Titan beginning to burn down the trees. "Tch, tch, tch. If he keeps that up he's going to wake the neighbours." But seems hardly concerned for that and turned to his two monster henchmen who connected the large cable and activated it, which was used for the lazar that was constructed by modern and New Olympian tech he stole during the breakout. "Excellent. Let the Typhoeus have his fun, the world is going to get a wake up call very shortly anyway!"

A shimmering dark purple glow caught his attention as it manifested behind him, emerging from the portal came out three young girls who appeared to be the same age as the others he confronted the other day.

They were in fact the Trix.

"Ugh, this better be the place. Something smells bad." Stormy gave a complained and smelled something. "Something burning?"

"Quite your whining, Stormy." Icy told her and turned her attention to Cronus. "We were told by someone to come here for a little job, are you the one named Cronus?"

"That I am, my dear and yes I have a little job for you three, if you three are capable of it?" Cronus questioned them and believed to be the ones Kefka mentioned.

"And what exactly you want, old man?" Darcy narrowed her eyes at him and tried to intimidate him, believing to be just a simple human they can scare of. She made a mistake when a sharpe blade was close to her neck and found him standing before her, glaring at her with his dark red eyes.

Cronus narrowed his eyes at her and felt strong magic from the three of them. "I can tell you are not from this world, so I will let that slide… for now." Pulls away the sickle from her neck, much to Darcy's relief and remained quiet as it disappeared and listens. "I was informed by an associate who contacted your master due to your experience with certain fighters. Who use certain… keyblades. Do so and I may reward you if my plan succeeds."

Immediately, the Trix realise who he was referring to and know of the ones who foiled their plans. "Yeah, we know of them. So you want us to deal with those brats?" Icy asked him.

Cronus nodded his head. "Correct, however they are with a certain group of mortals who according to the Oracle are destined to be my defeat, work alongside with my forces if possible, as long as none of them meddle with my plans."

"Alright, sure. Just tell us where they are and we'll take care of the problem." Darcy said.

However, Cronus had no basic knowledge of their current whereabouts and would take a long time to find them. "The best way to lure them out is for them to come to me. And also to keep them away from Typhoeus."

"Typhoeus? Whose that?" Just as Stormy asked him, a large ferocious winged monster fly towards them by the cliff and unleashed a bellowing roar and fires, startling the witch who nearly jumped.

"Oh, relax! He's not gonna bite… unless his legs would."

A cheerful voice that caught the Trix' attention, one that they recognised with the sadistic laughter known to them well, even for Stormy who started to grind her teeth. "I know that voice."

Icy spun around and instantly recognised the clown-themed villain who made a fool out of them. Simply sat by the log, smiling like a mad man and waving to them. "Ah, so you got my invitation! Miss me?"

"You! Ugh! You got a lot of nerve showing your face to us, you clown!" Icy yelled and pointed her finger at him.

"And making a fool out of me!" Stormy was ready to lash out at him until Cronus decided to step in before it could start.

"Enough! While I see you have a history and want to settle some score, but now is not to time. You be saving the fighting for the real battle."

"That's right!" Kefka skipped mid-air to the Trix without touching the ground, and held out his hand. "Your boss and I are now partners, so why don't we start over?"

Icy was reluctant when they were told by Darkar of a new ally, but never expected to be the one they run into. He may seem like an idiot, but seemed very strong to easily overpower Stormy on their first fight and if he's useful as Darkar says, she might as well deal with him, at least for now. "Fine." She took his hand and shook it.

"Deal." Darcy rolled her eyes and accepted in reluctance.

"Whatever." Stormy made her turn, however without Kefka's knowing, sparks of light danced between her fingers and was plotting to electrocute him for payback. When their hands touched and sending a surge of electricity to shock him… only to blast right back at her, causing the lightning witch twitch, throwing her arm and legs about until it was done, making her hair more static and smoke coming from her body.

Kefka remained untouched and smiled at her while her sisters looked surprised of what happened to their fellow witch. He let out a giggle and grins at the electricuted Stormy, waving a finger in front of her. "Talk about a little, shock, eh, Sparky?" Finding it amusing and laughs.

"You're a riot(!)" Stormy muttered and made a mental note to get back at him for that.

"Why thank you!" Kefka took it as a compliment, even though she did not meant it.

Cronus paid no attention to their petty moments and was focus on his plans, for a special comet was about to pass by Earth's orbit very soon. "It's almost time."

With the heroes now geared up for battle, they used Herry's truck as their transportation, however, not everyone would fit in given the number of them in. As Archie was the last to get in, the others would probably take the back.

"There's some space at the back, guys. It's enough to fit a football team." Odie told them.

"I got my own ride, the others could go with you." Taren brought out his rod that he had with him since the Battle of Alfea and used it for transportation.

Taren held the rod with his hands and pulled it apart to transform into a Light-Cycle. "Sweet."

"Awesome." Jay was awed as the vehicle that appeared in thin air.

Odie was amazed by the advancement of the tech, making a mental note to ask where he got it from and learn about the design.

"Maybe it might be a good idea to lighten the weight for speed." Ben thought of it and climbed on the back. "Mal, not sure be a good idea for you to fly over without drawing attention."

Thinking he was right and possible scare some locals from below if they saw her winged form. "Yeah, good idea."

Mirta was about to climb on when she thought of something. "Hey, maybe it be a good idea if I went with Taren. Gotta need someone for look out in case."

The red head was surprise to hear her suggestion and wondered if she was okay with that. "You sure?"

Even Mal seemed confused. "Wait, seriously?"

"Yeah, gotta need someone to watch out in case we need to split." Mirta was certain and turned to Mal. "Plus, it might give you a chance being on the back with him?" Almost resisting the urge to grin and pointed her thumb to Ben who would be sitting next to Mal, with no one else.

Mal realised what she was pulling off and felt her face flushed. "Uh… I-I uhh… well...that is-"

"Okay, gotta go!" She hoped on the cycle and wrapped her arms around the confused Taren who decided to drive on before Mal could get a chance to say anything.

'Damn you, Mirta.' Mal mentally muttered and did not see this coming, but now on the back of the truck with her crush.

"Well, that was… unexpected." Ben chuckled and not sure what happened. "Okay, Herry, better get going. Let's hope Taren handles the cycle not like last time."

"Sure thing." Herry said.

This caught Mal's curiosity of what he meant by that. "Wait, last time? What do you mean?"

"Uh… long story." Ben forgot and will no doubt get an ear full of complaints from Taren when she finds out about it.

The truck moves on to follow them and reach the dam in time. With a sudden turn, Mal and Ben clinged to the sides with some belts to strap them in, only for Mal to slip to Ben's side and fell into his arms and her hands rested onto his chest. Both froze for a moment and immediately let go when they tried to realised how close they were, neither were aware of each other's flushed faces.. She was certain to get back at Mirta for this.

Taren steered the cycle through the roads and remained focus on the path in front of him, seemed to have improved and maybe soon get a license as long as Mirta's magic keeps them hidden to do some recon, but wondered why she tagged along with him.

"So what was that about anyway? I mean, there was plenty of room there." He asks her.

"Uh, well I thought if maybe it be a good idea to use my magic keep us hidden. Also, not sure how fast this thing would go and could have been spotted easily." At least that was half the truth Mirta was giving him, but also never did thought what riding a bike be like, especially with behind a rider who was about her age.

Thinking she made a fair point and never thought of it, being new to Earth and unfamiliar with some that Bloom mentioned. "Fair point." They went over a rump that made a bounce on the wheels, causing the two to be surprised, while it wasn't new to Taren, it did gave a startled moment to Mirta who latched on to him firmly. He could feel her chest pressed up against his back, trying to keep his thoughts clear when he's in a relationship with both Bloom and Flora.

"S-Sorry. Not sure to this sort of thing." Mirta apologies but blushes when she noticed she was this close and had her arms around his chest, loosenes her hold on him to not cause an accident. And also perhaps not mention it to his two girlfriends from getting the wrong idea if they knew.

"N-No problem. Wait." He saw something up ahead and pulled the breaks to see a wrecked truck by the side of the road. There were no bodies inside or anything, which means they must have escaped. "Looks like someone torn that thing up."

Mirta noticed the doors open. "They must have got out safely, you think it could be that Typhoeus monster?"

Taren was sure of it. "No doubt, or Kefka had some fun in his twisted mind." They see Herry's truck behind them and stopped by the gates. Decided to climb off the cycle with Mirta followed and change it back into the rod."No sign of anyone, which means it might give us an advantage."

Jay nodded. "Then we better split up to look for Cronus. Herry, Odie, and Atlanta, check out the dam. Theresa, Archie, and I will search the area."

"Right, and the rest of us will stick together to take the other side." Ben told him. "But we need something to signal each other should any of us find either the monster, Cronus, or Kefka, best to

Odie was already ahead of him on that when he opened the bag from the back of the truck and pulled out a couple of PMRs for communication. "These PMRs will keep us connected."

"PMR?" Herry took one and took a closer look at them. "PMR? Looks like a Walke-Talkie?"

"It's a little bit more than just a Walkie-Talkie." Odie stated as he had likely been making some work on them.

"As long as we have a way of calling for help or something." Taren said and took one for his group as everyone took out their weapons and gear to be ready. "Ready?"

"To battle a giant monster, take on an immortal god, a psycho clown villain, and save the world?" Archie asked and knew what the answer would be.

"Yeah!" Atlanta proclaimed with a grin on her face.

"Alright, let's go!" Jay said and split up into three groups.

The keybladers went on their own direction to search for the monsters, along with Cronus and Kefka for whatever it is they are up to.

"I just hope we can stop them this time." Mal said. "But I don't get what it is they needed the dam and cause a black out, but cause any panic to the city?"

Taren had thought of that as well, but maybe it was something else. "Maybe it isn't that. If it were, that would have been too obvious. The Dam provides power for the area, so he must be needing it for something else."

"But what could they be needing it for?" Mirta pondered.

"Oh, wouldn't you like to know?"

The four of them sprung into action and spotted Kefka dangling by the tree branch, kicking his legs and humming a song. "I see you kids figured it out, but only half right about the dam. Personally I would have blown the dam up to start a flood, but that be too boring."

"Kefka! So you guys are using it for something, well we won't let that happen." Ben summoned his keyblade to his hand to be ready.

Kefka smirks at the prince of his proclamation of stopping him. "Quick the feisty one for a royal brat, aren't ya. But why waist time talking when we can have a party!"

"Yeah, sorry but we don't remember being invited by you." Mal told him.

This made the mad clown laugh and grins. "Oh, and what of your new friends when Typhoeus is having a blast!"

A loud roar nearby caught the teens' attention and saw the winged titan emerge from his hiding spot.

"Looks like he's found your friends." Kefka commented.

"Jay? Taren?"

Odie's voice spoke through the PMR and immediately answered it, only to jump out of the way of a coming scythe when its sharp blade struck down into the ground. Kefka let out a sinister laugh as he threw himself into the air and landed next to the scythe, grabbing the pole to lift it and swung at his foes. Mal and Ben used Reflect to bounce off the attack while Taren made an attempt to attack from above while Kefka had his back turned, engulfing his keyblade in light and fire, swinging it down and creating a wave.

Kefka turned to the corner of his eye and saw the attack coming fast, somewhat surprised and thrown himself out of the way but felt the blast in close range. Mal leaped towards him and spun her body for an opening, but Kefka made a Carthweel move to evade the attack. "Too slow! Ice Slide!" Called out his command and slid in a burst of speed, catching Mal off guard until she felt an impact in the stomach by a fist, coughed out some air and thrown to a tree.

"Mal!" The others cried out to her, but noticed she was okay and only clutched her stomach.

Kefka chuckled and twirled his scythe. "Not bad, but don't think I'm done with you yet after-AH!" He yelled in pain and suddenly struck from behind when suddenly a burst of fire caused by the red haired keybearer. Taren managed to sneak up on him and jumped back. "Surprise! Fission Firaga!" A ball of flame shot forward from his keyblade directly at Kefka, before he could react Ben did the same and casted Stopra to freeze him, granting Taren's command the time to make impact and exploded.

The smoke covered up most of the area before them, keeping their guard up for any sign of him.

"Any sign of him?" Mirta asked.

She received her answer to find Kefka emerging from the debris as it quickly cleared up, and looked very annoyed. "So, you wanna play with fire, kid? Fine then!" His scythe suddenly became engulfed in bright flames and began spinning very fast, revolving around him. "Fire Surge!" He rushed towards Taren who stood where he was.

Taren had no time to waste and threw himself to the corner, allowing the rock to take the damage and sliced in half. Had he not made it in time, that could have been him.

"Surprised? Or scared? Either way, I'm having so much fun! Come on, why don't you keep running around like moving targets?" Kefka floated in mid-air and chuckled as if this was all a game to him. "And to think you had beaten the Marilith back in the caves."

"The Marilith?" Taren wondered how he knew that, unless… it hit him and connected the dots. "So you're the one who sent that summon creature after us!"

"Bingo!" Kefka proclaimed with a wide grin. "I was simply bored and decided to spice things up."

"You're insane!" Mirta yelled at him.

"Insane? I might be a little screw loose, but insane… hah! You have to be bonkers to be on that level, kid." Kefka said.

Some think if he really was insane or just mad, maybe both.

"But time to deal with you and maybe have some fun with those wannabe heroes for-Huh?" Kefka looked down and found his feet snared by a pair of roots, this somewhat surprised him, wondering where that came from.

"You know, you really talk too much, you know that?" In front of him was Mal who suddenly recovered, only with a pair of wings and horns. And in her arms was a green plant creature. "Wha… how did you… when?

Mal smirks at him. "Oh, that's a secret I'm not gonna tell. Care for something to smell?"

Palmon grins and inhales. "Stinking Stench!" The Digimon exhaled a large cloud of gas directly at him.

Kefka gasped and tried to get away but the smoke blew towards him and began coughing when he accidently breathed into it. "ACK!… No… fair!..." Continues coughing through the gas. "Ack! Can't see! It reeks! What have you been feeding that thing?! Ugh!" He could barely see and three his hands about to clear the gass to breath.

"Guys let's go!" Mal called to the others to make a run for it, realising they can't waste any more time and clearly he was sent to distract them. Mirta quickly used her illusion magic to hide them from his sight to make as much distance as they can.

They sprinted off through the woods for cover, long enough for Kefka to managed to leave the gas to find out they were nowhere in sight and he fell for the trick. "That little… I can't believe I fell for such a mediocre trick! And just when I was getting all hyped to use my finishing moves!" Whining over his loss like a child until his mood suddenly changed. "Oh well, that means I'll have more fun with them soon! And I already done my part for sure." Now hoping for the Trix do their part to keep the heroes and Keybladers from meddling with Cronus' plans.

"Guys, I think he's not following us." Taren noticed they weren't followed and close to the dam.

"Good, cause I wasn't sure that plan would have worked like the last time." Mirta sighed in relief, not sure how long she can keep it up to safe her energy. "I can't hold it much longer, not much magic in this world."

"Don't worry, I think you done enough, Mirta. Save your strength." Taking Ben's word for it and dispersed the illusion, she used too much to keep them safe as she could and almost drained. Mal and Taren caught her and lifted an arm over them.

They hear another roar and spotted the Typhoeus flying towards the dam. Ben pulled out the PMR to alert the others. "Jay? Odie? We got a situation."

"Let me guess, a butt-ugly monster straight out of the bowels of history is heading our way?" Odie immediately guessed what they were about to say.

"Good guess." This time Jay spoke and sounded alarmed.

"Well we had a run in with Kefka and managed to escape, Mirta's tired out but should be fine. We're close to the dam to help out." Ben told thm.

"Think you can get there and help them?" Jay asked him.

"I'm the fastest out of us here and can use magic than anyone, I'll go and help." Mal stated and spoke again before Ben could say anything. "I'll only be keeping it distracted long enough to give the others a chance to attack. I can also fly and Palmon will help until she could Digivolve as well but we got no choice."

Much as Ben wanted to argue and not see her get hurt, he was still confident in her abilities and could not let his personal feelings get in the way. Relucantly complied and nodded. "Alright, but becareful."

She nodded and thanked him before flying off to follow the Typhoeus who spotted Atlanta, Herry, and Odie as they made a run for it. He let out a fireball and she decided to intervene. Using her magic to engulf the fireball and destroyed it before it got to her friends.

"You guys okay?" She asked while keeping herself steady with her wings flapping.

"Wait… Mal? Is that you?" Atlanta was surprised to see Mal with wings and looked so different. But had no time to ask and needed to deal with the monster, pulls out the Steel Bolas and tossed them towards Typhoeus' neck, only they somehow bounced off by his thick mane. Somehow making him more angry than before.

"That's not good." Mal thought.

"What's the plan of attack?" Odie asked.

"Maybe we should-" Herry suggested an idea before seeing another fireball coming towards them.

"RUN!"

Atlanta and Herry were able to evade the attack, but Odie wasn't quick enough and was flung over to the edge.

"ODIE!" They could do nothing as he fell to the river and with the Typhoeus to deal with.

"Don't worry I'll get Odie! You guys get back to the others!" Mal told them while she took a dive to catch him with her speed. Palmon clutches to her back as she could and spotted him down below. "Palmon? You think you can catch him?"

"I'll try." The Digimon answered quickly until Mal pulled her to the front. With a clear sight of Odie, using her Poison Ivy the vines managed to grab him and pulled Odie out of the water.

Taren, Ben, and Mirta made a run for it when they spotted Jay, Theresa, and Archie, they regrouped and saw the Typhoeus giving a chase to the others when they returned to Herry's truck. Mirta took the back seat while Taren and Ben climbed to the back.

"Get in!" Herry told them and wasted no time doing so before driving off to get some distance. A fireball struck the road, but Ben and Taren countered it using Wind to blow the flames away to make a clear path for the truck.

Typhoeus continued to chase them and no sign of giving up on his targets.

They noticed Mal and Odie were not with them.

"What about Odie and Mal?" Jay asked to find out what happened.

"He went over the other side of the dam, but Mal went after him." Atlanta explained.

"Then he should be fine. Don't worry, Mal is full of surprises when you know her more." Taren said, relieved to know they were not hurt, however they had no choice but to leave them behind while the monster was after the rest.

"Did we lose it?" Archie pondered if it was still chasing them.

Herry looked to the rear mirror and saw no sign of it. "No, just stopped following us."

"Must be guarding something back there." Archie suggested. "We ran into it as well and clearly wanted to keep us away."

"Not to mention Kefka was there too, so that means they were expecting us." Ben shared with the others.

Jay listened to them and while relieved to know Odie was saved thanks to Mal, but couldn't risk leaving him in danger. "Let's try to call them and make sure they're alright."

Odie was unsure what happened but was relieved to be out of the water, landed by the side of the river and spotted Mal with a small green creature that tendrils it used to grab him. "Mal?"

Mal figured she would get a reaction when she never used this form that often to others. "Uh, yeah. It's me, long story." She transformed back to save some strength. "You can thank Palmon for saving your life, we were lucky to be around."

Odie observed the creature named Palmon and appreciated the help. "Thanks little fella." Giving his thanks and turned to Mal. "And also for saving my life back there."

Mal took his compliment and smiled. "Well, when you've been on this sort of thing long as I have, it becomes second nature."

Decided to call the others to make sure they were okay and used the PMR. "Hello? Jay? Anybody?"

Jay's voice responded to his call. "Odie, are you guys okay? Where are you?"

"We're okay, on the other side of the river." Odie explained and spotted something from the top of high edge, what appeared to be a person with something. "And I'm looking up at Cronus!"

Mal narrowed her eyes to see and confirmed it was indeed the Titan from last night. "That's him alright."

"Are you serious?" Jay wanted to be certain if it was him.

"It is. But something's next to him, Odie can you send a picture of him to the others with that thing?" Mal asked him. He nodded and held the PMR to show the others.

Relieved to hear from Odie and Mal save, and surprised to hear they found Cronus.

"What is that?" Atlanta held the PMR with the screen zoomed to show him standing what appeared to be a laser cannon. "It looks like a laser."

"That can't be good." Taren said.

"That's exactly what it is, and it's the biggest one I've ever seen. Cronus must be diverting all the power to it." Odie shared his theory with them and started to make sense with what he was planning.

"Odie, stay where you are, we'll get you after we stopped Cronus." Jay said as he felt it be safer for Odie while Mal could handle it.

Theresa wasn't sure about what he was planning. "Jay, there's only one way aross the dam from here."

"And there's a little something in our way." Herry spotted Typheous straight ahead of them, blocking the only path they're using.

An idea came to Jay's mind and believed it could work. "You're right, we should run away." Smiling at Herry who nodded and hit the accelerator to full speed, Theresa wasn't sure what was going on and confused.

"Did I miss something?" She asked.

Ben and Taren also had the right idea. "Maybe we should bring some extra firepower."

Taren smiles and pulled his digivice out to summon Agumon with Gabumon beside them. "Herry, don't stop no matter what!"

"You got it!"

"Now!" Ben yelled and casted his command along with Taren to make a combo move. "WInd Raid!"

"Thundaga!"

"Petit Fire!"

"Pepper Breath!"

The multiple attacks struck Typhoeus in the chest, he roared in agony by the thunder spell forced the winged titan to stagger, leaving the path wide open for the truck to drive through.

"Nice work, guys." Jay had to admit this part of the plan was not what he expected but was better than what he had in mind.

"Any time." Taren replied. "But think we need more than just us two to keep him busy."

Archie decided to do something to help them out and turned to Atlanta. "So, are you coming with me?"

"What?" She asked what he meant by that.

"We can't fight Cronus and that thing at the same time. Taren and Ben could but not sure how long, we need to distract it."

She got what he was saying and go with it. "Herry, stop the truck." Herry did so and gave them the moment to disembark.

"Wait, guys I don't… think that's a good idea." Before Jay could say anything, they already left.

"We'll help them out, just make sure Cronus doesn't fire that laser." Taren told him and climbed off to join them. With the truck leaving the four made their choices. Archie never noticed the Digimon for the first time and seem to be with the Keybladers. But had no time to ask when they were under attack by the Typhoeus and scattered to avoid the impact.

Taren pulled out his digivice and looked to Agumon. "You ready?"

Agumon nodded and was ready for a fight, and began to digivolve. "Agumon, digivolve to… Greymon!"

Atlanta had the first time seeing the small Digimon turn into a huge dinosaur and awed of how big he was. For Archie, he backed off and nervous of how ferocious he looked, but still trusted them if this Digimon can help out.

Ben called out his keyblade and ready to fight it. "I just hope the others make it in time."

"Well, well, if it isn't the keybrats"

"Huh?" They spotted a girl flying towards them and blasting away with purple orbs, Taren and Ben recognised who it was and surprised to find out Darcy was here.

"Darcy?! What are you doing here?" Ben never thought they would see her on Earth.

"You know her?" Archie asked him.

Taren nodded. "Yeah, and not in a good way."

Darcy sneered at them and floated above them. "Wait, there's only two of you, where's that two-faced harpy?"

"Funny, we were wondering where's the rest of you. Trouble always comes in three." Taren remarked.

She glares at him. "Making sure you don't ruin the fun and I think someone wants to play fetch." Growing a sinister grin. "And what better way to see the planet that the fire princess was raised be thrown into chaos."

Darcy gestured to the flying Tpyhoeus and spews out his breath of fire, the others were caught by surprise until Greymon managed to grab one of the snake tails and used his weight to pull it down, slamming the monster to the ground and used his signature attack.

"Nova Blast!"

Typhoeus shielded himself using his wings and able to withstand the burning heat, turning its attention to the Champion level Digimon when Taren took the chance to attack while he was down, slashing and cutting as he can until the giant swatted him away. Ben and Gabumon came from the side before Darcy used her magic to toss them in the air.

"Don't even think I'm missing this chance for payback!" Darcy sneered and used her enhanced powers to create illusions of herself into four copies and attack, but Ben had a counter attack. "Seeker Mine!"

The copies were struck by the surprise attack, leaving the real Darcy exposed for the open attack. Gabumon used Petit Fire for a direct hit, but she held up her hand to conjure a protective barrier and retaliated waving her hands across to create a wave of dark energy at them. Ben brought up a rock of earth to be used for cover and ducked with Gabumon.

She turned around to face Greymon and Taren battling Typhoeus. "Now that's just not fair, how about this." She made a sneak attack and blasted the two with their backs turned with purple beams. Greymon grunted in pain and knelt down, but was struck in the jaw by the large red fist to send him flying across the road.

"Greymon!" Taren glared at the monster and then to the Trix for the stunt.

"Ouch! That's gotta hurt!" Atlanta winced to see the Digimon took the blow, but before they could do anything to help she spotted a large cable and nudged to Archie who saw it. Giving them an idea and followed it, Ben looked over to see what they were doing, nodded his head to give the distraction needed.

"Hey, Darcy. I heard you got some upgrades, if that's try then why aren't we still standing?"

Darcy turned to face the prince, complete oblivious to see the two teen heroes sneaking by. "Only because I like to give my enemies the torment for fun."

"Yeah? I've seen worse." Ben continues to taunt her, and with the two gone it was a chance to keep her busy.

"Ben? Are you sure that's a good idea?" Gabumon whispered to him if he knew what he was doing.

All Ben could do was give an honest answer he could think of. "Honestly… I'd probably be out of my mind."

Taren used the Cure to heal Greymon's health and managed to get him back up. "You alright, buddy?"

Greymon stroked his lower jaw and felt much better. "I think so. But ready for another match." Taren nodded and jumped on to his shoulder and spotted the cable, his eyes saw some movement and looked to see Ben taunting Darcy. "Listen, not sure what's Ben is planning, but think you can keep this up for a moment."

"No problem." Greymon makes another Nova Blast to make a direct hit to the winged monster to keep his attention on them.

Meanwhile Cronus prepared the coordinates for the laser and powering up the energy to fire into space. With Kefka, Typhoeus and the Trix stalling the othrs for time, he can make his move. "Time to start the countdown."

Archie and Atlanta followed the cable and found the generator for the power. Atlanta was uncertain as to what Archie was thinking while hoping her friends can keep that monster and the witch busy as they can.

"What's the plan?"

"Ares was wrong. We can bring it down with lightning bolts." Archie answered.

"Oh yeah. Gee, fresh out of lightning bolts." She gave a sarcastic remark when they had no way of doing that. "And the only ones who could do that are not here."

"Wait until he gets closer." Archie looked up to see Typhoeus making a dive towards Greymon for the attack.

"Uhh… he looks pretty close to me."

Typhoeus roars and shields himself with his arms by the numerous fireballs and attacks coming from ball.

Archie decide to call Taren for his plan. "Taren, its Archie. Try to lure the big guy in as close as you can."

"I'll try, what are you planning?"

"Trust me, it be a surprise for our friend here." Archie can only hope it works.

The truck was able to find the laser and stopped, Jay stepped out of the car to find Cronus by the controls. "Cronus!" He was able to catch the Titan's attention and switched his weapon to extend into a pole with Theresa bringing out her nunchucks, Mirta used her chakram, while Herry relied on his bare fists.

"Who's first?" The bear-like monster roared and was the first to make the move, but Herry easily over powered it with his strength and tossed it over his shoulder.

Jay continuously attacked the ogre with his fighting pole, only to find nothing was hurting him. "Okay." He backed off by a step and surprised his foe with another tactic by making a pole jump, striking the head with his foot to knock the startled monster down.

The first monster tried to get up, only to see a giant monster that suddenly be knocked back down by a swift kick from Theresa.

The red skinned giant tried to attack but suddenly found multiple copies of Mirta, confused of which one was real when a spinning disc flew passed and cut a large branch that fell on top of him, only bruised but enough for Mirta to use her magic to create a rope around his feet to loose his balance.

With the monsters dealt with, Jay looked to see the laser being more active. "Evil guy. Giant laser. Not a good combination."

Cronus remained calm and not bothered about the heroes behind him, he was more focus on the laser. "Just a second, Jay, I'll be right with you." He spoke in a polite manner.

Before Jay could stop him, his feet were suddenly encased in a block of ice to freeze him where he stood.

"Don't even think about it." Icy stepped out of the woods along with Stormy. "I was expecting the keyblade wielders to be here, guess Darcy got to them first."

Stormy looks at them and suddenly her eyes spotted Mirta. "Well, look who it is. Little pumkin Mirta."

Mirta spun around and could not believe the Trix were on Earth. "Icy?! Stormy?! What are you doing here?!"

"Should be asking you the same question, no doubt wanna play hero. That's cute." Icy held her hands on her hips and froze her to the waist before she would do anything. "And why we're helping him is to get back at Bloom for ruining our dreams of conquest!"

"Yeah, I can just see the look on her face to see her second home be ruined just like Domino." Stormy cackled.

"If you ladies can keep them busy, it won't take long for the lightshow." Cronus said.

"Oh, don't worry. It be fun for them to watch." Icy nodded when suddenly a Chakram flew close to her face, startling the witch who dropped to her knees with how close that was. The charkram flew back to Mirta who was actually unharmed. "What? But then who-" Only to realise she trapped one of the monsters instead.

"You really do have a habit of underestimating people, you know that?" Mirta wanted payback for the things the Trix did to torment her, no longer wanting to be scared and run away, she was certainly not going let them get away with causing havoc to Bloom's homeworld when there's countless lives at stake.

The ice witch growls and glares at her for that stunt. "You are gonna pay for that. Once we're done, you're gonna be something much worse than a pumpkin! Stormy go find Darcy, if you find the keybrats, deal with them!"

"Got it." Stormy flew off to do as she was told while Icy would have some bit of fun.

Meanwhile, Odie and Mal were below the cliff when they decided to make their plan to catch Cronus by surprise when his forces were distracted. Mal made it easier for Odie to use the created vines for climbing. She had to send Palmon into her digivice to make the climb more easier for them.

"You sure you're up for this?" She asked if he was certain to go along with the action.

Odie was sure of it. "Like I'm missing out all the fun."

Mal would give a comment of respect when suddenly hears the sound of a battle going on, icicles fired and loud footsteps. "Sounds like it's already started."

"There you are!" The two looked up to find Stormy flying towards them. "Payback time!"

"Stormy?! Wha-You know what, I got no time for this!" She didn't want to waste time figuring out how and why Stormy was here, obvious the Trix were on Earth as well.

"You know her and how is she flying?!" Odie asked and not believing what he was seeing.

"She's got magic and has lightning attacks, just keep climbing!" She told him and used her magic to blast her, blocking the lightning bolts. Mal realised how strong her magic had become when Taren warned them of having some amulets to enhance their magic, using lightning and wind attacks might not be enough, she had to use an alternative.

Stormy unleashed a barrage of lightning bolts at the two. "Here's something to blow you away!" Creating a gust of wind, knowing they can't hold on forever.

"Ah! Mal! I can't…. hold on!" Odie cried out as he clung to the branch.

Mal used a new move she learned, increasing her agility with magic to sprint towards Stormy within range to glide herself towards Stormy. "Ars Solum!" Swung her keyblade to perform a strong attack, struck the startled Stormy with multiple hits.

Unaware of the red giant who was tossed over by Herry fell and grabbed another branch close to Odie. The smartest hero wouldn't let this giant have the chance. "I don't think so, buddy." Stumping his foot on the fingers, only to make the giant more madder and trying to climb up.

Stormy managed to recover and found Mal by the wall without flying. "What's the matter? Too scared to fly?"

"Actually, it saves more energy for ideas in mind." She glanced over to see Odie who suddenly zapped the giant with his PMR like a weapon. Having an idea and grins. "And using this new technique couldn't be better to try on you."

"Oh yeah? What's that?" Stormy spoke with confidence that she could beat Mal.

The giant let go and was falling. "Collision Magnet!" Calls out the attack and shoots the falling giant with her keyblade, briefly saving him in mid-air with an energy beam, only to be used to be flung like a slingshot towards Stormy as her target.

Stormy's eyes wide open and cried in far. "AHH!" Too shocked to move and assaulted by the giant, both now fell into the water.

Mal grins and let out a laugh to see the look on Stormy's face. "Well, that was easier than I thought."

"Hah! What's the matter? Not so tough now, are ya? Oh, what's wrong? You're not smiling anymore." Odie grins and taunted the two who managed to resurface and gave them a death glare.

"Mal… You… are so… gonna regret this!" Stormy snarled and brushed aside her hair that was soaked and lost its curls. Hating the keyblade witch even more.

Mal smiles and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, like I heard that before. Have a nice swim."

"Good one." Odie complimented her. Now needed to help the others, with one down, possible the two were still active.

Making sure they don't follow and turned the lake into ice to trap the two of them while submerged, or slow down long enough to Hoping they be okay and handle the others.

Greymon managed to draw Typhoeus close to where Archie and Atlanta wanted him to be while also keeping Darcy distracted and oblivious to their plan. Ben jumped and evaded the attacks as did Gabumon, but not sure how long they can keep up.

Typhoeus now noticed the two heroes and went after them.

"Guys, whatever it is your up to, do it quick." Taren said before he used a Strike Raid to attack.

Archie turned to Atlanta. "I heard you were fast."

"Very." Atlanta proclaimed.

"We need to plit its focus, you go on the other side of it." Archie told her and ran to help.

"Me? Why Me?!" Atlanta wasn't so sure about it after hearing his idea.

With Greymon keeping the upper body focus on him, Archie used the Hephaestus Whip as a lasso onto one of the two heads. "Cuz' we're kinda busy over here." He gave his reason and tied it to the cable.

Atlanta saw no other choice and used her superhuman speed to catch its attention.

Darcy flew over and was about to attack Archie when suddenly she got hit by a spinning keyblade from Ben who attacked her, sending the witch to fall to the ground. She grunted and tried to use an illusion to trick him, but he was too fast and decided to go for another attack. Ben used a thunder strick, however she vanished.

"Do you serioulsy think you can win? You may have been lucky against us last time, but now we're stronger and much more powerful than ever!"

Ben stood his ground and with Gabumon beside him for anything she pulls. "It doesn't matter how strong you get, there's always a limit, all you have is just some jewel that gave you a boost. I see that as nothing but shortcuts."

"Oh, and you're one to talk by relying on those little things as your pets?" Darcy taunted and unleashed a barrage of multiple purple spheres at them from above. Ben crocuehd dwon and formed a Reflect to protect themselves. "Face it, just like the Winx we'll beat you as well!"

However, Ben did not seem concerned and only chuckled for a moment. "You know, the only reason why we hardly took you seriously most of the times? It's just that you just sound like most other villains in the past, boasting, gloating, and say they are better. But all have one thing in common. They underestimate the limits of a hero." Pulls out his digivice in his hand. "And we've been working hard as a team to beat foes who may be stronger."

The digivice illuminated in a bright blue light, the same for Gabumon who was engulfed in it. Catching Darcy by surprise upon witnessing this transformation.

"Gabumon, digivolve to…" Gabumon began to change, growing ever so large and more wolf-like with his fur merging with his body to a light blue fur, with a white underside, dark blue tiger stripes, magenta claws, dark blue-tipped blades, and a very curly tail. With the transformation completed, the newly digivolved Digimon lets out a mighty howl. "Garurumon!"

Darcy was overwhelmed with shock and felt a surge of energy from the small pest that suddenly grew into a beast. Unable to risk giving them the chance and fired more dark spheres, she made a direct hit, but no sign of the Digimon or Ben anyway. "Wha?!" She spotted a fast moving blur running around so fast, she could hardly keep up with them. Blasting away as she could, even conjur a wall to slow them down but it was not enough. Then the blur leapt into the air and got a full look at the Wolf-like Digimon with Ben on its back.

"Not a chance!" She would not let him have this moment and threw her hand out to perform another attack.

"Garurmon!" Ben called out his partner's name and instantly vanished before she could hit them. Startling the Trix who blinked to see them gone, only for Garurumon to appear behind her, the brunette turned around fast to find them.

"Gravira!"

She suddenly felt the gravity around her weakened and could not move or fly, confused and tried to escape. Garurumon made his move to perform an attack with a blue fire-like energy within his jaws. "Fox Fire!" Spewed a stream directly at her, blasting Darcy with the cold fire and yet felt so cold. She cried out in pain and badly weakened, plummeted to the ground and yet still alive. Darcy growled and had enough strength to barely crawl, but not enough with Garurumon growling and stood before her alongside his partner.

"Don't think you can get away." Ben declared and aimed it towards her before she could try to escape. But he suddenly noticed a grin on her face instead of shown the usual annoyance or in pain after that attack. "What's so funny?"

"Oh... nothing, but you're probably too late." As she said, a beam was shot into the night sky and blasted the glowing comet from orbit.

"Ben? What is that?!" Garurumon cried out in shock, even Ben had no idea but could see the look on Darcy's face it spelled trouble. Before he could get an answer out of her, she vanished before his eyes and no doubt escaped. Not wanting to waste time chasing her and needed to find the others.

Typhoeus continued to break himself free without knowing he was tied to the cable, but they were too late and the laser destroyed the comet into pieces.

The effects of the explosion caused it to create some sort of wave of energy, spreading all around the planet like a ring.

The electricity surged through the whip to the monster, crying in agony and pain of its weakness until it was at last freed, snapping the cable and flung into the river.

"Well, guess that's that. See ya, losers." Darcy made her escape and vanished.

Even with the monster defeated, they were too late to stop the laser and ran to find the others.

The laser lost its power and shut down, but hardly mattered to Cronus now his plan was a success. Everyone paused from their fighting to see the result and mixed thoughts from both sides.

Cronus grins and turned to the leader of the heroes. "Too late, Jay."

Jay was not sure what happened and not liked the sound of it. "What have you done?" Drawing out the Xiphos to make him talk.

"Put that away." Cronus told him with a glowing wave could be seen from the sky. "I'm the least of your worries now."

"What is that?" Theresa pondered and while it looked beautiful, it didn't seem right to her at all.

"Yeah, I thought it was something to make this world a complete wreck, not make a lightshow." Icy was confused.

"Oh belief me, frosty." Kefka appeared behind her and chuckled. "It's about to get much more fun when you hear what this does."

"Ah, it's beautiful isn't it?" Cronus complimented.

Herry had a bad feeling about this. "This can't be good."

The villains retreated and left the heroes and keybladers to witness the event and of their work.

By morning it was still in the sky, but least some good news is the power is back on and everything seemed normal. Almost. Taren contacted Radiant Garden to do some research and maybe call Bloom to tell her what happened, no doubt she be concerned for her adopted home if the Trix were involved.

Everyone was on the roof to see it, Atlanta tried out one of the buttons on the PMR after Odie told them what he did with them, she pushed the button and gave a spark of electricity. But not as amazed when they found out Gabumon actually digivolved and beaten Darcy, Ben showed them his champion level form using the Digivice.

"Okay, that is awesome and you make an awesome wolf, little buddy." Mirta stroked Gabumon's fur as he chuckled to accept her compliment.

Odie was taking notes about the Digimon and their abilities. "Amazing, so they have the ability to grow stronger and take on new forms?"

Ben nodded to confirm his question. "Yeah, I don't know how that works but unless we know more the better. Wish we could have came to help out sooner, but Darcy took us by surprise.

"Least you managed to show her not to mess with next time." Archie commented.

"How did you felt about facing Icy?" Mal asked when she heard about it.

"Luckily I managed to keep much distance as possible, but she was stronger than I remembered." Mirta groaned and rubbed her head. "Whatever it is they used, they're not like before." The keybladers mutually agreed and needed to be more careful next time they confront them and warn the Winx and Specialists to watch out for them now that Kefka was working alongside them.

While Taren was happy to know about this and not needing to rely on Agumon too much, but there was another matter to be concerned with and what Cronus and Kefka have done. "I don't like this at all. Whatever it is they've done it can't be good."

Jay nodded and agreed with him on that while he looked to the sky. "No, it isn't."

Theresa decided to try to cheer him up. "Jay, we destroyed Typheous, the power is coming back on into the city. There's lots of reasons be happy."

But the others didn't think so, even if she was right. "Yeah but doesn't mean this is a good sign." Mal pointed to the sky. "I doubt this is over for us."

"She's right, it's not over yet, Theresa." Jay agreed with Mal. "We don't know what this is all about and we have no way of knowing. Remember, there's still one more member of our team missing."

If this last member who is a descendant of any Greek hero is out there, he could be the thing to save their world. "We can only hope got the answer."
