Chapter 58: Answers and Questions

Out in the forest near Alfea, it seemed like a regular day until a white dimensional rift opened out of nowhere, giving a mist-like appearance, growing wide enough to be large and a shadowy figure came out of it.

Looking out in an unknown world from where it originated from, looking around and going into woods.

After the Trix had escaped successfully, Red Fountain was in need of immediate repair from the damages, Radiant Garden had offered to lend a hand to repair to which the headmaster accepted. Meanwhile, Sky was still recovering from the battle and despite insisting he was fine they insisted he go to the medical clinic to check along with the Specialists and Winx.

"Everything clears up, your highness. You should be fine." The doctor who was checking on Sky's condition in the medical clinic, relieved to hear and able to leave.

"Thanks, how are the others, Doc?" Hoping for his friends were fine, especially Timmy who appeared a little shaken. Still feeling it was his responsibility to do something but was fortunate he was saved in time.

"The guards should be fine and your friends will recover from the ice spell." The doctor told the prince. "Just get some rest and take it easy for today."

Taking the advice and deciding to head back to his dorm, passing a few students and teachers, the headmaster gave his team some time off to recover while not mad for failing to protect the Codex and wished he could have told his friends what the Trix were after. He hated to keep things a secret from them but hopefully they told soon to prevent another incident again.

Sky thought to have improved his skills since he lost his phantoblade in the battle in Magix City, learning to use the lightsabers as a replacement

'If only I was strong enough to help, I would have stopped them. I need to get better if I need to fight alongside my friends and protect them when they're in danger.'

"Everything alright, Sky?"

Brandon caught the prince by surprise when he caught up to him while relieved he was not injured. "Yeah, I guess you can say that. But not after what happened."

The squire nodded. "I know, we didn't expect this to happen. Timmy's recovering but still shaken."

"Can you blame him, it was my fault. I should have told them what was at stake but couldn't." Sky was still bitter about it and ashamed for failing his mission. "When they realize the truth, no doubt would think I couldn't trust them."

"We had to as it was too dangerous for such a secret. I'm sure they'll understand." Brandon stated. "I may not like it as you, but think it would have made any difference?"

"It is if we're up against powerful foes like Kefka, we only got lucky with the last time with the keybladers." Sky admitted to his best friend, letting out a deep sigh. "If we don't get stronger, we'll never stop them. How can we be called Specialists if we can't even stop some powerful foe?"

Brandon could actually understand where he was going with and shared his concern, while their keyblader friends and the Winx were getting stronger with their magic, the Specialists' team needed to improve their abilities rather than just using their Titans. "Yeah, I get what you're saying, and after what happened. We need to be ready and be at the same level to stop them."

Sky nodded and can only hope they can improve their chances and prevent the same mistake again. While having a think of how to be better, he was not aware of walking into someone passing by the corner.

"Hey, Sky watch where you're-"

"Oof!"

Too late, he winced after the prince collided into someone and did not get a look at her as it sounded like a girl. Mentally sighs and shakes his head. "Never mind."

Sky stumbled a step back, the other fell to the floor due to his build and frame. Realizing what happened and feeling embarrassed to cause someone to fall over. "I'm sorry! I should've watched where I was going." Didn't get to see who it was and found some of the paper fell. "Here, let me help."

"No, it's fine. I might have been distracted." A soft voice belonging to a young girl, didn't get a look at her yet while helping to pick up some of the papers that were a lot of writing and a sketchbook.

Pick it up when it is in reach. "Here, think this is yo-'' What he was about to say was cut short when right in front of him was a beautiful girl with short blonde hair, not pixie short but a mop of it with two bangs to frame the cheeks and extend down the neck. She wore a white top with a blue vest hugged the decent bust along with a black pair of pants to fit the decent curves to go with it. Would have been distracted by her face but drawn to her cyan blue eyes.

She looked at him, oblivious of his stare and assumed something was wrong. "You okay? You're not hurt that bad?"

Flushing bright red of embarrassment to be staring at her and snapped out of the sudden trance which he had no idea where that came from. Quickly apologizes to her. "S-Sorry, I might have gotten a little lost in thought with stuff that happened." This however did not escape the growing grin on the squire's face to see what's happening to his friend. Getting up on his feet and gave her the papers and book she dropped.

Giving a soft smile for his help and taking them. "Thanks, sometimes my mind just wanders elsewhere I suppose."

"I don't think I've seen you before." Sky noted and assumed if she was from Alfea. "Are you a new student from Alfea?"

"No, I came from a place called Radiant Garden." The blonde girl tells him and stands up straight. Not noticing the surprise look on Sky's face when she mentioned the name of the world familiar to him.

"Radiant Garden?" The keybladers' usually go to

"Yes." The blonde haired girl stated. "My name is Estrid, I came along with them to maybe learn a little during my stay."

"Please meet you, Estrid. Names Brandon and a member of the Specialists." The brunette gave his name to her first and reached his hand out to offer a handshake that she accepted. "And the klutz who knocked you over is Prince Sky."

This earned a mild surprise from Estrid over the fact of meeting a royal prince. "A prince?"

Sky sheepishly smiled with the secret out in the open to her, scratching the back of his head while somewhat hoping to make a good impression without revealing his status. "Y-Yeah. Again, I'm sorry I just had a lot of things on my mind. So the fault was mine."

Estrid didn't seem to want to let him take the blame, reaching her hand out to him to show she was not offended. "Oh no, I kinda took at a blame when I was sorting out the sheets I was carrying but got lost here. Was offering some help to the wounded from the battle."

"If you follow one of the medical staff they'll lead the way and just around the corner." Sky pointed in the direction for her to take.

"Well thanks for your help and it's nice meeting you, Sky and Brandon." Giving her thanks to him with a bright smile, not knowingly seeing the flushed face of the prince. "I better go and not keep you waiting any longer. Bye."

"U-uh yeah, bye." Sky watches her sprint off and suddenly finds himself unable to take his eyes from her form from the back when Brandon throws an arm over his shoulder to snap him out of his moment.

"Well, looks like our moping prince got something to cheer him up." Brandon sniggered with a grin. "But can't blame ya, that girl is gorgeous don't ya think?"

"Wha-I… no idea what you're on about. Sure she is, but I don't know what you're on about." Sky tries to deny the conclusion his best friend is saying. "Besides, I'm engaged, remember? And she probably doesn't think that way, so you can drop it."

But the squire didn't seem to buy it and pulled his arm away. "Sure, but only politically so I couldn't say no to maybe ask her out."

"And maybe just be friends. But if you bring this up, I might forget about mentioning it to Stella if she hears you complimenting other girls." Getting a pale-looking expression on Brandon's face of the thought of his girlfriend in a fit of rage over .

"Okay, guess we're at a stalemate." Brandon admitted defeat. "But you do seem better now and maybe go find the others."

Saladin called for the keyblade masters into his room along with Codatorta over serious discussion of the situation. Sat behind his desk with the masters, including Yen Sid present and Mickey.

"Gotta hand it to those Trix, they sure are much bolder to pull this stunt." Riku hated to compliment a foe but had a point when they somehow knew where to go unless it was planned. The monster that attacked the school during the grand opening ceremony could have been a distraction for them.

"Just what was it that they were after?" Sora was curious to know when they had been up to date on the current events apart from knowing about Darkar.

Saladin sighed for a moment and answered. "I'm afraid it is serious when the Trix have stolen a very important and dangerous relic in their hands. It is a piece of the Codex."

"The Codex?" Mickey pondered.

"A powerful magical relic which can be used as a portal to another realm, but only when all four pieces of the Codex come together. The one the Trix had taken is one of the four." The headmaster explains to them about the relic and the importance it presented. "It was kept a secret from anyone knowing it, until the Trix somehow came by this knowledge."

"No doubt with the help of Darkar we've been hearing about." Riku folds his arms. "The more I hear about him, the less I like."

Saladin felt it was his fault for not seeking aid from the keybalders. "And now I know we cannot underestimate them."

"You are not to blame, Saladin." Yen Sid assured him that it was not his fault. "No one could have suspected this."

Mickey nodded. "We just gotta find out what their next move is. We can spare plenty of our team to help guard the codex and make a plan."

"And so happens we found and located the second relic." Sora informed them of the update, catching their curiosity.

"You have?" Codatorta was almost surprised to hear this. "Then that means you have it?"

What he got were a collection of frowns and shaking heads. "Well… not exactly." Riku responded. "But good news is we do know its location, but that's where it got complicated on our last mission."

Uncertain by his response, the teachers were curious to know more and if it was complicated. "And might we know the reason for this?" Saladin asked him.

Sora sighs and could feel a headache coming up to bring it up. "Think it would be better to bring someone who might know about it… but not sure if she will agree to it."

"I can't do this. I really can't." Mal was very nervous. "I feel like this is a bad idea."

"OF course you can, Mal. I mean, how bad can it be?" Evie was encouraging her to pull it through as they were about to be ready for Auradon prep school.

Mal sighs and listens to her best friend's words. "Apart from inviting my friends who are kids of the most hated villains in Auradan to be sent to a school full of kids whose parents had history with them." Having a bad feeling won't end well, especially if any of them find out who her mother was. It was also at a moment the Trix attacked Red Fountain when they weren't around and stole something that she had no idea what.

"But what about the good things you did? Especially fighting against an evil sorcerer and monsters? Even saving a planet you told me about? That's something no villain would have done." When Evie heard the stories Mal told her, she never would have believed them but seeing her new keyblade, it made her think maybe having a better life wouldn't be so bad and make new friends. And maybe be as brave as Mal one day. "I mean, if they see all that, maybe they can be more of giving you a chance."

Thinking if Evie was right about that given all that she did. "You think so?"

"Sure thing." Evie was certain of it. "And also maybe a chance to get us some princes. Did you ever meet any, what about that prince you've mentioned."

"Uh, I doubt Ben would be looking for someone at the moment." Mal said, not wanting to hide a hint of jealousy of other girls crushing on him.

"Ben? Not by his royal status?" Evie suddenly had a coy grin on her face. "Ooh, so are you two close?"

"Yes. We're friends." Mal clarified it.

"Really? Oh, I just assumed you two are rather… close?" Mal was at first a little confused by her tone, until her brain processed the look she was giving the young witch, making her face turn pink and flushed. "Wait, y-you think-no! I mean, it's not like that!"

"Aw, but I think it's romantic." The blue haired teen thought. "I'm just so excited to meet your friends, I hope they like me. And maybe some cute boys."

"Evie, there's nothing going on between me and Ben. He and I are just friends." Mal denies any claim of it, trying to keep her feelings down as she could. "And I should also give you some heads up on some. Some you may like... well, tolerate... give or take."

"Well look who showed her face around here."

They hear a young man's voice, turning around to find two teens approaching them. The first one had tanned skin, long dark brown hair and the same color as his eyes. He wears a yellow and maroon sleeveless jacket with a shade of dark blue to fit his muscular frame, a pair of blue jeans, black boots, and a red beanie. The second one had pale freckles all over his face, his hair was a mix of black and white: white hair with black roots. His style of clothing mainly consisted of colors black, white and red.

Mal acted tough, crossing her arms over her chest and stood before them. "Jay. Carlos."

"Haven't seen you in months, then came back as some sort of hero we've been hearing?" The one named Jay took a step forward, wearing a blank and frowning face. "After all this you came back."

She stood her ground, making her move if he pulled something. "Yeah, got something to say."

Evie looked nervous and afraid he was mad at her, but then Jay let out a laugh and hoisted the startled Mal in his arms.

"Still the same old Mal! We've missed ya!" Jay let her down and patted her on the back, she let out a sigh in relief and joined the laugh.

Mal grew a bright smile and hugged him back. "I've missed you guys too!" She then gave another to Carlos. "Carlos De VIl. Still afraid of dogs?"

"Hey, you know how dogs can be dangerous and can bite ya. My mom said they're rapid pack animals who eat boys who don't behave." Carlos stated in his belief. Jay snuck up behind him and spooked him, causing him to jump.

Mal remembered how he was always told about dogs being evil by his mother who ironically wanted to make fur coats out of them and was sentenced to the Island of the Lost. His mother had limited interactions with him due to being an unfair mother. She remembered how he was bullied for being the weakest and the target until she and Jay came along to bring him under their group. She met Jay after he was seen stealing from one of his father's business rivals and was infamous for his swift skills of being fast and cunning, even to charm the ladies with his looks and help. She last saw them when the Grimm attacked the Isle and the small town they were in when the Grimm were after her for her sudden connection to the Keyblade and had not seen them since until now. Relieved to have heard her friends have survived and sent letters to them for sometime when able during her time at the Magic Dimension.

While Carlos has developed this fear of dogs thanks to his no good mother, she would perhaps think of some way to deal with it and maybe warn Ben to keep Gabumon in his digivice for the time being. Now comes the hard part and something she never thought to do. The prince owed herbig time for this. "Anyway, I suppose you guys are wondering why I called you guys here and no doubt there have been some rumors."

"About being picked to go to Auradon school?" Jay is already aware of it. "Thanks, but no thanks. Later." Both he and Carlos tried to make a run for it, however they were not fast enough to escape Mal's magical vines that sprouted from the ground and caught the two. Evie was amazed by how much Mal has improved her magic.

Mal sighed and placed her left hand on her hip of how silly this was. "Saw that coming a mile away. You think that could work now?"

"Mal! Have mercy on us!" Carlos cried out, struggling to break free of the vines.

"When did you learn to do that!?" Jay protested while surprised how she did that. "And why would you agree to that? You said it yourself that you'd be better off dead than to set foot in that boarding school?"

"A lot to surprise you." Mal had learnt a lot when she was in Cloud Tower and would agree with him as well but had no choice. "And I know I'm not thrilled about it as you guys but was outvoted and outnumbered. I didn't want it either but with some of the kids here I had to say yes for them." Mentally groans of how she felt bad for selling them out. "Even go to a boarding school filled to the brim of some... prissy pink princesses."

"And perfect princes." Evie added, much to Mal's annoyance.

"Mal, I don't do uniforms." Jay told her. "Unless it's leather you feel me?"

"I hear somewhere they allow dogs." Carlos had a bad feeling about it.

"Relax, I know some who will explain it to you guys and maybe if-" Suddenly her phone rang and picked it up to answer. "Hello? Master Riku? Yeah my friends are here and... well not so welcoming of the idea" It must be serious if he was calling her on the phone. "Wait, hold on, you found the second relic? Great, where?" She listens and suddenly lets out a laugh. "Oh that's a good one, for a moment you had me there."

Her friends watched and noticed her smile suddenly dropped to a face of dread, as if receiving terrible news. "Please say you are joking." What she received from the call didn't make her feel better. "You're not kidding? Of all the places, it had to be there?"

Mal let out a sigh and felt like the universe was making a joke out of her, groans in dismay. "Okay, I'll come over as soon as possible." Hangs up and falls back on the furniture to support her fall. "This just gets better and better?"

"Wait, was that... the RIku you just talked to?" Jay asked, unable to hold back the astonished look on his face.

"What did they say?" Evie was eager to know what was going on and maybe offer to help.

"Good news, they found the second relic." Then came the worst part for her. "But where they found it is the bad news."

"Where? Can't it be that bad? Right?" Evie said. "Right?"

"If you need some help? I prefer that then go to school." Jay grins. Ready to go on an adventure. "See new worlds, treasures, and babes."

"Uh, nothing dangerous I hope." Carlos didn't seem so keen.

"Unfortunately it is." Mal turned to her friends. "It's in the Underworld, ruled by Hades."

That was enough to make the daughter of the Evil Queen's blood drop, Carlos yelped and leap into the annoyed Jay's arms while he too was scared by the mention of one of the worst villains ever.

"You mean… Hades himself?"

"Lord of the Underworld?"

"And the biggest temper to erupt a volcano?"

"The very same. And worst of all he somehow has a possession of one of these the keybladers need to find and just so happens to be him of all people." Mal only now wished it was some random place with the same name. "And seeing as they need my help when I know of it, obviously just by rumor I hope. But if that relic is there, I gotta make sure that idiot doesn't know how to use it."

"Uh, on second thought. Maybe school doesn't seem so bad." Carlos having second thoughts about the idea.

"Why, afraid of some ghosts or the flame headed god?" Jay teases him more.

"No. Worse!" Carlos whimpered upon saying the name. "Cerberus. A giant. three headed dog! There's no way I'm going there!"

"Relax, you're not going, Carlos." Mal stated, much to Carlos' relief before getting overwhelmed by fear. "But this is one thing I have some problems with and how to sneak in."

And get the second relic away from the Olympian god as possible.

"So you need some help with making some new spells?" Taren asked Bloom when she asked him while looking for books in the library to help.

Bloom nodded to confirm his question. "Yeah, I thought maybe something to be more helpful and also to learn about my powers. With the Trix and Kefka working together, we should at least try to be on the same level as them."

"Sky was thinking the same thing just earlier, probably after what happened and felt it was his fault." Taren could understand his reason for it and didn't blame him for it. "But I wonder what it was they were after."

"Who knows." Bloom was curious as he was, however she stayed focus on the topic of useful spells like healing arts for a start. Finding some of them collected lots of dust on the covering and the shelves that showed they were not touched in a long time. Oh, boy, it looks like these books haven't been taken out in ages."

"No kidding." Taren pulled one out and flipped the pages. "Maybe I should look for any back home that could be useful."

"Ow!" Both turned to the source of the sound and found Agumon, rubbing his head.

Taren sighed. "Agumon, what did you do?"

"Me? I didn't do anything. Something fell on my head." Agumon replied and still felt sore on the head.

Bloom found what was on the floor and knelt down to pick it up. "What's this?" Curious about the book and read the title. "Healing Spells, Charms, and Potions. I guess this would be a good book to start with.

They had a thought and shared the same idea that it might be useful and have a try. "I don't see why not, maybe something in that book could come in handy."

"Sounds like a good idea." She agreed with him and decided to check it out. Neither of them were aware of being watched from the shadows.

Mirta was outside the woods during the lunch break, she had heard about the attack on Red Fountain, she was worried for her father when he was there but yet also aware that he could handle the Trix. He did find out she went to Earth with the keybladers a while ago, he did give Mirta a scolding for not telling him but was proud of her getting her Winx form and fought back against the Trix to lay off the temptation of grounding her which would have been worth it. Yet he also stated they should at least talk about going on adventures by informing him to not get too worried like the last time, especially for having her own weapon which her father approved of their common taste of weapons, so long as it was secured in Alfea ground to avoid any accidents until she gets better.

She wondered how the others were doing after the battle and hoped they were alright, she could have come along but had some studying at Alfea. Wondering what the keybladers were up to when she heard about some travels from Flora, having this growing interest since her trip to Earth and maybe if she improves her abilities, she could perhaps join them on their adventures.

Mirta could perhaps ask the Winx to help out, Mal be away for the prince's future coronation and for her friends. Perhaps Taren considering how skilled he is in combat and use of a keyblade, she started to get along with him over how friendly he is and supportive to help her develop more to gain the courage to stand up against her bullies.

Still, while not wanting to admit how she learned about both Flora and Bloom sharing him, he has shown to treat them really well and was surprised by it as everyone but showed support over how much everyone had gone through since they met.

Not wanting to admit it openly, but couldn't deny the fact of how attractive he is and very brave. 'Wait, why am I thinking that?! No, he's only a friend. Not like he'd wanted another!'

A sound of bushes rustling pulled her back to reality and sprung up on her feet. "Who's there?" Whether it was one of the students but the bushes were too small for a teenager to hide. Maybe a small animal? It would be better for her to be prepared for anything in case it was a dangerous creature with magic.

She only wished she had her chakram with her but was ready to transform until it came out of the bushes… or simply tripped ove with its face planted on the ground. Mirta blinked and stopped what she was doing. "Huh?"

Right in front of her was some sort of creature that couldn't be nothing more than a pup with white fur, watching it lifting itself up and shaking its face and looking up at her with the cute green eyes with curiosity in its eye. "Aw, are you okay?" She knelt down before the little creature seeing it as nothing but harmless, however she wanted to see if it was hurt. No sign of any bruises but noticed a gold collar around its neck. It didn't seem to back up from her when Mirta reached out her hand.

"No worries, I'm not gonna hurt you." The small animal studied her for a moment when it seemed to trust her. Mirta inspects the creature and assumed it was someone's pet by the collar. "Did you get lost or something?"

Carefully puts it back down and didn't want to leave it out here, perhaps finding out who the owner when it suddenly jolted around as if something ticked it off, at first she had no idea what got into it when she heard the buzzing sound and a squeaky scream.

"AAAAHHHH! HELP! SOMEBODY!" Zooming at them was a pixie in a bee-costume named Zing.

"Wha-Hey, hold it!" Mirta caught her in her arms. "What's going on? What monster?"

Mirta would have her answer when the bushes and a tree were cut to pieces, flying through the shredded debris was a large green Mantis-like creature, it had two copper brown antenna and a mark on it's face while lacking the eyes but had a terrifying jaw and the razor Sharpe scythes. Zing looked up and immediately pointed to the direction she came from. "THAT! Run!" She cried out in terror as Mirta panicked of the sight of it, she grabbed the pup in her arms and ran as fast as possible, only to be chased by the flying mantis monster.

"What is that? That can't be native in these woods!" Mirta asked, daring to not look back as she can hear it right behind them. She had read about several large creatures and insects but never seen one like that in her life.

Zing gave a response. "I was on my way back to Alfea when suddenly this huge bug came out of nowhere and it thinks I'm lunch." She shivered upon seeing the dripping saliva from its jaws.

"And it seems to think I am as well!" It was just Mirta's luck to be chased by a monster in the woods, they were not too far and could try to stop it. She quickly used her illusion magic to throw it off by making copies of her self and split up, it worked when it stopped and went after one of them. The creature pulled back its scything blade and proceeded to attack.

"Twin Sickle!"

The blades glowed in pink and launched two crescent beams from its sickles, causing a small explosion but destroyed a tree and the first illusion it fought and resumes its hunt.

Mirta sighed in relief that her plan worked for now. "That was close."

Even Zing was relieved to hear it, wiping the sweat from her head before hovering around her shoulder. "Phew! Just what was that thing?"

"That was Snimon."

Zing blinked upon hearing someone spoke and looked to Mirta. "Hey, how do you know that?"

It was not Mirta as she didn't say a word. "That wasn't me."

"I did." Both looked down to find the one who spoke was the gold collared creature in Mirta's arms and surprised them both that it can talk.

"You can talk?" Zing sounded surprised by this. "Are you some sort of magical creature?"

"No, I'm Salamon. The one that was chasing us was Snimon. A very deadly Digimon that hunts its prey."

"Wait, your a Digimon?" Mirta then realise what they were, but wondered how they got here.

"Wow! Another one. Wait til Layla and the girls hears about it." Zing was excited. "My name is Zing, I'm a Pixie and the one who saved us is Mirta, she's a friend of the Winx and they're fairies."

"Fairies? Pixies?" Salamon blinked her eyes as those words were unfamiliar to her.

"It's okay, like I said your safe with us. But think it be best to get to the school fast and warn the others." Mirta picked up Salamon in her arms to feel seccure before her spell wears off.

"Hey, wait for me!" ZIng obviously didn't want to be left behind and end up a Digimon's meal. Salamon said nothing and let the Fairy take her, while in a strange new world and no idea of how to return, yet felt like there was a reason for coming here.

Was a little slow due to work I was doing and a art commission, so been doing some bit of changes and now reveal some parts going on with Sky wanting to be stronger and support the others when he saw how powerful the Trix are up close. Mal be given a mission... only its much more complicated and would need a team brave enough to set foot in the Underworld. And now the rest of the VK have been introduced, their backstories will be slightly differ from the canon and also added a bit of the winx episode which will differ. Especially of skipping some episodes to cut down the canon story.

I also added a new OC and have ideas for her, have a pic of her to help which will be in the KH fanon wiki soon to help. been doing a bit of research on the winx characters and lore to work out ideas, especially Diaspro for when she makes an appearance as I have ideas for her character to differ from the canon which I feel seem a bit one sided for many seasons it had. I have ideas for the Digimon for the next chapter so keep a look out for anything else and if ideas you have, message me or give suggestions for the characters in my story to help.

Also I like to thank for the reviews and ideas given, so does give ideas for the next story arc as I have ideas planned for Valtor, along with the Trix for some serious changes coming. Anyway, will do the next one soon and wish you all to stay safe and healthy to avoid the COVID and hayfever as possible.
