I'm Scout Finch, age 18. It's been ten years since The Mockingbird was killed. It is now 1945. The world is enduring a second international war. German scientists have created a genetically-enhanced clone of Adolf Hitler after the original Adolf Hitler was assassinated by two witches in 1919. Neo-Hitler, as we call him, is in the midst of absolute domination in Europe, which he renamed to "Hitlerland". At this rate, he is going to conquer the whole world. Who knows what he is going to do when he reaches full power?

Jem left to fight against Neo-Hitler two years ago, and he hasn't returned yet. I haven't received any letters from him recently, so it's hard to know if he's even still alive at this point. I'd be really disappointed in him if he died though. Dying is for cowards, and he would just stain the good Finch name.

I am sitting in a hospital room with Atticus, my father. He caught COVID-19 last week, and he is lying on a bed. There are so many tubes and other things attached to him that I don't understand. Doctors estimated he has about one month left before he dies.

Atticus speaks to me: "Scout, I'm dying… Thank you for being here with me… I wish I could see Jem again… One final time… There's something important I wanted to say to him…"

I think I feel a tear rolling down my face, but I discretely wipe it away before he sees, because crying is for pathetic-ass weaklings. "Father, I will head to Hitlerland and find Jem. I'll even kill Neo-Hitler if I have to."

Atticus looks at me with a blank expression. "Thank you, Scout… Since you'll be heading to Hitlerland, I might not ever see you again… So let me tell you how I feel about you…"

I prepare myself. He's probably going to tell me something really depressing, and I can't show any signs of vulnerability, since that would make me weak.

Atticus speaks: "Of you and Jem… Jem was my favorite child… I barely cared about you…" Atticus coughs several times. It sounds like he's in pain, since his lungs are full of phlegm and other shit. "Also, I did your mom…"

I facepalm. "No shit, Sherlock. I already knew both of those things. It was pretty obvious when you never remembered my birthday, but you celebrated Jem's birthday every month. Anyway, I'm heading to Hitlerland now. I'll make sure to get Jem back to you as soon as possible."

I exit Atticus's room, and I close the door behind me. I start walking back to the hospital's lobby, where the president of the United States is waiting. I pass by several empty rooms on my way there. Eventually, I reach the lobby. The current president is Shomas Putnam, the descendant of Thomas Putnam. President Putnam speaks to me: "Are you ready now, Scout?"

I nod my head. "Affirmative."

President Putnam leads me out of the hospital to his helicopter, which is in the parking lot. We both get in. President Putnam turns it on, and the engines start up. The rotors start spinning, spreading the dust on the ground all over the place. The engine gets louder, and the rotors spin faster. Eventually, the helicopter lifts off the ground. As it ascends, I look out the window towards the hospital. I see Atticus watching me through one of the hospital's windows. The helicopter then heads off to the east. It seems as if my eye-contact with Atticus is still unbroken. Eventually, the hospital goes out of view.

Over the horizon, the White House comes into view. President Putnam lands the helicopter in the courtyard. The rotors then decelerate until they come to a complete stop. The helicopter's doors open, and I step out.

President Putnam walks up to the doors of the White House, and he reaches into his pocket. He pulls out a key, and he unlocks the doors. He pulls the door open and steps aside, signaling for me to come in. I enter the White House, and he follows. As I enter the lobby, I notice several paintings of Sharack Obama, the first president, all over the walls here. Putnam walks over to one of the walls, which has an AK-47 mounted to it for some reason. He grabs the AK-47 and hands it to me.

"Scout, you are the chosen one. You are the only one who can defeat Neo-Hitler and take back Hitlerland. May you bring peace to this world. Now, go stand on that teleporter pad over there." President Putnam points behind me. I look, and I see a large flat machine on the ground. I look back at President Putnam, and then I look back at the machine.

Without saying anything, I walk over to the teleporter pad, and I step onto it. I turn to look back towards President Putnam, and I see him pulling a remote out of his pocket, and he pushes a button on it. Suddenly, the teleporter pad lights up to the point where it gets too bright for me to keep my eyes open anymore.

I speak: "It is once again my time… To Kill Another Mockingbird." I feel the entire universe shifting around me.
