HELLO! This is Red speaking. Welcome back to Gotham's Finest. I apologize for this stories deletion following an incident that shall not be mentioned involving certain unreasonable persons who shall not be named. But it's back, and with a second chapter to boot and a third on the way. This is one of several deleted stories that will be returning post deletion, the next one is one of our smutty one shot series that got taken down, and was a pain in the ass to put back together. Seriously I had to literally scrounge through the depths of internet hell just to find all the missing chapters cause we didn't have the backup copies of the pages anymore. Anyway, without further ado, enjoy!
"H-Hello?" Lucy spoke as she sat up and found herself in a dark building and felt a sense of dread wash over her as she got up. "Is this…t-the Jokerz base?" She wondered with a confused look in her eyes as she got up and started to walk around, only to trip and fall on something soft yet cold. "What the?" She muttered while looking up and backing away almost instantly. "LUNA!" She yelled in horror at the sight of her sister with her head bashed in.
"AH-"
*BANG BANG BANG!*
"LENI?!"
Lucy quickly got on her feet and ran over to the office door only to find it locked, then she peeked through the window as lightning struck from outside, showing the blonde on her knees against the wall, with bullet holes in her eyes, chest and stomach.
"...Leni!" She said, dread filling every nerve in her body.
"NO, PLEASE STO-"
*CRASH!*
"Oh God, oh God!" Lucy exclaimed as she turned around and saw Lori with a metal beam crushing her head and upper body.
"LORI NO!"
"W-WHO ARE YOU?! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!" She exclaimed while tears freely fell from her eyes as she felt something warm dripping down on her head and nervously looked up to see the twins hanging upside down from the ceiling, both of them torn in half vertically. She then screamed before running to the entrance, only to trip over Luan's decapitated head.
"What the fuck? WHAT THE FUCK?!" Lucy shrieked in a panic as she started banging on the steel doors.
"SOMEONE! ANYONE HELP ME! PLEASE!"
"...No one can hear you, Lucille."
A cold, empty whisper rang in her ear, her body freezing once again as she spun around, finding no living being around her.
"WHO ARE YOU!?" She cried out while stepping forward and slipping onto her back as a cruel laugh rang out from the office.
"Poor little Lucy." The distorted voice said silently, yet every time it spoke it sounded like it was right in her ear.
"Please stop it!...Please..." She cried as she looked up again and this time saw Lynn, her chest torn open and empty of all organs and bones. She screamed once more while falling back again and vomiting until she smelled smoke and looked up and saw her home set on fire.
"What the hell? When did I… I-I didn't even leave." She muttered in horror as she saw the charred corpses of parents when a gust of wind blew from behind her, sending chills down her spine. Lucy heard clanging and turned around again, finding herself in the school cafeteria.
"What? Is this…a dream?"
"You. Wish." She heard as she turned around, coming face to face with a large rusted freezer. Hesitantly, she reached forward for the handle, her hands violently shaking and covered in sweat. Lucy gulped and quickly grabbed the screeching handle, throwing it open, and immediately began vomiting. "LISA!" She screamed at the horrific sight of her younger sister, dissected into hundreds of pieces, her organs in tupperwares, her bones in the drawers, and her brain and eyes floating in a jar.
"Why?! WHY?!" She yelled with wide eyes and vomited more while falling back.
"Do you like it?" She heard as a pair of loud footsteps made their way towards her and froze from the source of the voice.
"N-No…w-why are you doing this?!" She whimpered as the figure walked into the light.
"Because...you did this to me, dear sister." They said, revealing their identity as Lincoln…holding an eerily quiet Lily.
"..."
"W-What?" She said with her wide eyes locked onto the long sharpened screwdriver sticking out from the youngest Loud's throat.
"...Why...WHY HER!?"
"None of them were safe from death…but you? I had such high hopes for you. No, you don't deserve death, I'll give you much worse." He said while carelessly tossing the small corpse with a wet thud while brandishing the bloody screwdriver with an emotionless stare as Lucy began to panic and back away when the tool was thrusted down, right into her right shoulder.
"AHHHHHH!"
"Gee, that sounded like it really hurt. Here, let me FIX IT!" He shouted angrily while pushing down and forward on the sharpened screwdriver, causing it to cut through her muscle tissue and flesh and even bone until half of her shoulder was severed.
"AAAAHHHHHHHH!"
"You brought this pain on yourself, Lucille, and it is never going to end." He growled with a maniacal grin he raised the makeshift blade and started to hack at her legs, making her scream.
"LINCOLN PLEASE...please...stop it!"
"SHUT UP!" He roared with fire in his eyes as he grabbed her good arm and dragged her to a door that he pulled open, revealing a meat shop freezer. "Up you go." He said as he chained her torso up, lifted her body up and placed it onto a hanging hook.
"Why...WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS!?" She whimpered as he sat down in front of her as he smashed her face in with a meat mallet, resulting in Lucy screaming violently as she sat up in her bed when Lynn kicked her door down. "LUCY WHERE'D THEY GO?! WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE!?" She screamed while wielding a steel bat like a maniac.
"...It's...it's alright, Lynn...just…it's just another bad dream." She said with a whimper as Lynn shut the door and sat on her sisters bed, wrapping her arms around her. "Come in…tell your big sis."
"...He...he...killed us Lynn..." She whimpered after several moments of silence that felt like hours.
"Who killed us?"
"…L…Lincoln." She whimpered, making Lynn freeze up.
"It'll be ok, Lucy, we can't give up hope."
"BUT WHAT IF WE CAN'T FIND HIM!...it's my fault he hates us." Lucy sobbed.
"Hey come on, Lucy, we gotta keep our heads together, we'll find him" Lynn muttered while kissing the pale girl's forehead. "And it's all of our faults." She added with a sad look as she held her little sisters hand. "We'll find him, I know we will."
"Lynn…we won't…he doesn't want us to." She sobbed.
"I...*Sigh*...I know…But one of us has to be optimistic though."
"Lynn...does he hate us?"
"…I'm not gonna lie…I don't know." She said with a frown
"Luan, open this door at once! You are gonna be late for school!" Rita said while slamming her palm on the door as Leni passed by her. "What's wrong, mom?"
"Luan won't come out of her room." Rita said with a shake of her head when Luan opened her door just a small crack as Rita could barely make out her daughter's eye.
"Luan?"
"Go. Away." She said with an empty toneless voice before slamming it shut and locking it again.
"Luan!" Rita snapped angrily as she groaned and marched away, making Leni frown.
"Luan, op-"
"I SAID GO AWAY!" She shouted, making the 19 year old jump until she scowled and forced the door open.
"LUAN!" She yelled while glaring at the bed and the lump under the blanket.
"Get up and get dressed, you are going to school!"
"..."
"I'm not leaving till you leave this room! She growled while pulling the blankets off, revealing Luan, her thin body balled up with purple bags under sunken eyes that glared at the second oldest sibling.
"Go away Leni..." She growled bitterly as Leni frowned and gave a sigh. "This is about Lincoln, isn't it?"
"No shit, Captain Obvious." She groaned while grabbing a pillow and covering her head with it.
"Luan, he totally wouldn't want you to sulk like this." Leni said, earning a glare that said 'Seriously?'.
"…Oookay, maybe he would a little." She said under her breath as Luan covered her head again in shame and sorrow as Leni sat down on her bed and rubbed her shoulder. "I'll tell Mom you aren't feeling well okay?" She told her sadly, prompting Luan to nod as she grabbed the blankets and covered herself again while Leni left the room.
"Luna, where are you! We need to get going!" Rita called as she heard a thump on the roof.
"Oh god, not again." She sighed as she heard a window open behind her as Luna landed inside dressed in her hero persona before noticing her mother.
"Off. Now."
"But mom!"
"NOW!"
"NO! I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE OR TAKING THIS OFF UNTIL I FIND HIM!" She shouted as Rita sighed, ripped the mask off and pulled on her daughter's ear very tightly.
"You and your sisters are NEVER wearing those things again."
"Why? Cause you know it's your fault he's gone?" Luna said bitterly, making the matriarch flinch. "Whether you like it or not, this cesspool needs a protector"
"Yes, it does. And I made the foolish mistake of having children fight my own battles." Rita said as Luna scoffed.
"Look sweetie, we'll find him. But you have to stop going out in that…thing, you need to sleep at night."
"No mom"
"I wasn't asking. Now give me the suit."
"I said no!" Luna snapped angrily as Rita sighed and slammed the side of her hand down on her daughter's neck, knocking her out cold.
"God, I really shouldn't have listened to 'him'." She muttered before dragging Luna to her room and tearing off each piece of her costume.
"Lisa, have you had any luck?"
"Negative." She said while sitting at her computer. "I just finished checking all of Star City, Central City, Metropolis, Dakota City and even as far as Jump City via satellite." She said while turning around and sipping on a can of flat soda.
Rita fell down in a chair and started crying. "Maternal unit, it's been 3 years…almost 4. Perhaps it's time we realize that h-"
"HE IS NOT DEAD LISA! DON'T YOU EVER SA-"
"DO NOT INTERRUPT ME, RITA!" Lisa screamed angrily with a vein throbbing in her forehead, startling her matriarch. " As I was saying, perhaps it's time we realize that he doesn't want to be found. He's always been far from idiotic, so he would very well know how to evade being seen." Lisa sighed while sniffling a little as she looked away from Rita. "Get out."
"Lisa-"
"Don't. You idiotically took the word of some person you refuse to tell any of us anything about, aside from that he can see some so-called future, and now MY brother, for all we know, is rotting away at the bottom of some random sewer! Until he returns home, I don't want to see you, Senior, or anyone else in this family!" She screamed, her face bright red as she pressed a button, making the floorboards beneath Rita's chair slide to the sides and revealing a large conveyor belt that very quickly pushed Rita out of the room, chair and all, as the doors slammed shut behind her.
Lincoln was currently in an alleyway staring at a house, waiting for the two occupants to vacate the premises.
"Come on." He muttered, impatiently tapping his foot and waiting till he finally saw the two finally leave in a car.
'Took your sweet ass time.' He thought while tightening his burgundy hoodie and grabbing a duffel bag and a can of spray paint and started heading towards the entrance and covered the front camera lens with black paint, then began picking the lock and pushed the door open.
"Time to tear apart the basement." He said to himself as he cracked his knuckles and began his search after kicking the basement door open.
"In and out, all there is to it." He muttered while descending down the dark stairs and into the darkness.
"Where's the light switch?" He muttered
irritably as he pressed his hand around on the wall and found a small switch after 15 minutes of searching. "Finally." He said as the basement lit up, he was then immediately blinded from the white walls and fell on his back, furiously rubbing his now red and blurry eyes.
"JESUS CHRIST, I THOUGHT THESE GUYS WERE SUPPOSED TO LOVE BLACK!" He screamed while constantly rubbing his face and his eyes managed to adjust to the sterile white room after 10 minutes. "If I were to put a secret wall, where would it be?" He said while pushing down several shelves and bashing in several walls with a hammer until he finally hit something hollow.
"Alright, now we're getting somewhere."
Leni sighed as she rubbed her forehead whilst sitting in the community college library, trying to read her history book. 'Linky.' She thought sadly as she started to turn the page and suddenly hissed in pain as she held her hand. "Damn it!"
"Shhhh!"
"Oops. She whispered while sucking on her finger.
"What's wrong Leni?"
"*Sigh* Nothing Dana." She sighed while pressing her face down into her table and wiping her eyes. "Hey, don't be sad." Dana said while sitting next to the blonde and hugging her.
"It's mine!"
"No it's MINE!" They yelled as they tugged on separate ends of a stuffed rabbit as Lisa tried separating them. "Stop it you dunderheads!" She exclaimed as they pushed her away and kept tugging a d ignored everything around them as they kept tugging harder and harder until-
*RIP*
they heard the fabric start tearing.
"Oh no"
"Girls stop before you-"
*RIIIIIIP!*
Lisa gasped as they stopped due to falling back in opposite directions while stuffing littered the carpet in between them.
"LOOK WHAT YOU DID!"
"WHAT I DID?! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO WOULDN'T LET GO!"
"ENOUGH!" Lisa screamed angrily as she slapped both of them and ripped both halves of the rabbit from their hands. "WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO?!" She yelled, making them cower in fear.
Seeing that she wasn't gonna get a response, she pocketed all of the scattered stuffing and stomped into her bedroom, making sure to slam the door as hard as possible behind her, making the twins look down in guilt and pain as they rubbed their swollen cheeks.
"Lynn, this has got to stop. Luna cannot keep going out every night." Rita said while sitting down in the kitchen with a mug of coffee in one hand and a fork in the other as her husband cooked her some food.
"I know honey, but she's just so worried about him." He spoke while flipping the pancakes and eggs.
"It's just that she knows they aren't allowed to fight in our 'activities' since their brother disappeared."
She sighed. "She won't listen to us anymore, Lynn."
"I know."
"And I think she's doing drugs."
"What?!"
"She reeks of pot." Rita said. "H-Honey I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for that smell. Maybe she got into a fight with some junkies." He told her reassuringly, making her sigh.
"That doesn't make it any better." Rita said while drinking some coffee from her mug.
"Back already kid?" The man known as Jack questioned as Lincoln walked into the dimly lit room with a rolling suitcase in hand and several bruises and cuts on his face.
"Yeah, but I got some stuff, and then some." He said while dropping the case on a table and opening it.
"Excellent." Jack said as he rummaged through the stuffed bag, his smile slowly fading away. "Where's the suit?"
"He didn't have it, but I found something better."
"And that is?"
"You'll see. I just gotta make some…adjustments."
He spoke while holding a suitcase behind his back.
*6 months later*
Luna was climbing through her window, fully suited up as she glanced at the door, then to paper covering several missing persons incidents. 'Time to face the music' She thought with a growl as she jumped out and dove into the dark streets below.
