Going Out Fetching with the Fire Wolves

Laphicet is seen sitting outside on the bench reading one of the books he got from the library of the church, it contains some basic knowledge about the world and the magical power that is called mana which is also another world for magic that humans can use to do things that are impossible.

"I see, so that's the energy I have been feeling since arriving in this world." Laphicet said.

"Although, the Demon Lords and Archangels' energies are different because they come from Heaven and Hell, now that is something." Laphicet interested.

"I wonder if there are party groups like adventurers and such, that would be something to see too." Laphicet smiled as he put the book down.

"Looks like someone is into adventure stories." Belial walked up to him.

"Belial! Taking a break from the paperwork?" Laphicet asked smiling of seeing his first beloved.

"Well, there's not much paperwork to go on when this whole dang village is so peaceful and quiet that there's not much to do." Belial said as she sat down to him.

"I guess you have a point there, but we have been through some tough times too." Laphicet looked up at the sky.

"There was the Direwolves trying to take over the forest, freeing the Lord of Calamity from her prison, stopping Root Head, recruiting the mermaids, and even got our magic craftswoman too." Laphicet listed the things that has happened.

"Things certainly felt lively through all of that." Belial giggled.

"But you're forgetting about one important thing, my love." Belial smiled down at her beloved dragon.

"Huh, I forgot something? You mean having the mermaids evolved?" Laphicet puzzled of what Belial is talking about.

"No." Belial giggled.

Belial have one hand on Laphicet's face tilting his head up a little as she leans down kissing him on the lips and using that same hand to place his hand onto her breast, this made the silver dragon boy feel strong in the moment as he kisses her back with their tongues onto each other.

The kissing lasted for over a minute until they finally separate.

"It's you, you silly boy. You're the first and bet thing that ever happen to this village since coming here." Belial smiled.

"Oh yeah, I guess having a dragon in the village does make it feel special." Laphicet chuckled.

"But to be honest, I just wish that annoying Lucifer and the other sins would mind their own business." Belial said looking upset.

"You're talking about Maria, are you?" Laphicet asked.

"Of course, that little bitch is here to report to Lucifer and Michael about what's been going on with this village for two weeks. It feels like she's taunting me with a wicked smirk." Belial clutched her fists with the feeling of a tick mark.

"Easy Belial, there's no need for you to be angry." Laphicet tried to calm her down.

"I know it may seem like we're being spied on, but I've gotten to know Maria more since she came here six days ago and I can promise you that she means no ill-will to us." Laphicet stated.

"The villagers have gotten along with you and says that she's a really nice person with a pure heart to care for others like they're family." Laphicet informed about the villagers' thoughts on Maria.

"Next thing you'll know, they'll want to know more about Lucifer and Michael than me and Astaroth." Belial rolled her eyes.

"No, they won't because you're this village's Demon Lord along with Astaroth and you two are the best ones I've ever met." Laphicet complimented and use his tail to lift himself up for a kiss on the cheek.

"Oh, you're making me blush." Belial chuckled.

"I guess I can tolerate with that girl for one more week, but if she does something to upset me then I will give her Hell." Belial stated with a small fire appearing on her finger.

"Then let us hope that never happens." Laphicet chuckled.

"Fetch!"

Laphicet and Belial are surprise of hearing a sudden shout when they look up seeing a long stick soaring in the air and spinning until it crashed through the window.

"AAAAAAHHHH?!" Velvet screamed in anger.

"Uh-Oh, that stick crashed through the kitchen." Laphicet gasped.

"And from the sound of Velvet's scream, the stick must've hit her." Belial added.

"Okay!" Velvet kicked the door open and came marching out.

"Who the fu" Velvet's angry shout was interrupted when Howler jumps onto the Camility woman pushing her down onto the ground.

"Howler! Did you find the stick!" Kamoana called out as she comes into the front yard.

"Oh yes, I think your dog found it…" Velvet answered in a low tone while holding Howler with one hand and crushed the stick with the other.

Kamoana can see that this woman is clearly angry and looks a little to her right seeing the broken window taking a clear picture of what happened here.

"Oops." Kamoana said nervously.

"Is that really all you have to say?" Velvet asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'm sorry for breaking your window, Velvet. I was just playing fetch with Howler because there was nothing else to do." Kamoana apologized and explained.

"I'll forgive you, but you two will have to be more careful with throwing things from now on. You might end up hurting someone like that." Velvet advised as she put Howler down.

"We promise." Kamoana nodded as Howler nods too.

"Come on, Howler. Let's go find another stick to play with." Kamoana said before the two left.

"Be careful when you're running, and don't try climbing trees that are too high if you wanna get a new stick." Velvet advised.

"My, my, I didn't think the Lord of Calamity would sound like a mother than a monster." Belial chuckled as she and Laphicet walks up to her.

"I was just concern with how hard kids can be when they play their games and such, they're not gonna be young forever." Velvet stated.

"Although to me, you almost sounded like a big sister." Laphicet commented.

"Did I now? I guess that's because I used to be one, I had a younger brother years ago and it was the time before I became the Lord of Calamity." Velvet revealed a bit of her past.

"Really? Did you use to be a human by any chance?" Laphicet asked surprise.

"Yep, just a plain ol' human like some of the villagers except I had a knack of fighting with a sword using my own self-taught style and I could even do a little mana to make my attack stronger." Velvet mentioned that as well.

"Sounds to me like you were a warrior, perhaps an adventurer." Belial guessed.

"Not really, I only had those skills and strength in order to help preserve the village I used to live along with my younger brother by hunting down prickleboars and other things." Velvet explained.

"Sounds like your village must've been small in a backwater area like Silver Flame Town." Belial commented.

"You could say that, but we were still able to get by with the resources being enough and there was a time when the village thought about opening a small guild with fewer people being the adventures ." Velvet explained that part as well.

"I see, your village must've thought about making a reputation than the ones your village probably already had to make it bigger and be put on the map." Laphicet said understanding what that village was trying to do.

"Yeah, that was the idea, but… But that never happened." Velvet looked down with a sad expression.

"Let me guess, monsters and demons attacked your village wiping it off the map?" Belial asked.

She knew how small villages like this and Velvet's former home get attacked by demons and monsters, there are even times when those villages would get destroy so bad that it's beyond repair to get things back to normal because of the there weren't a single survivor to rebuild the village and that area becomes a new territory for the demons and monsters.

"Yeah, and among other things…" Velvet said.

Laphicet can tell that remembering her past is really hurting her in the heart that she's probably having a small flashback of her past.

"It's okay, you don't have to talk about it." Laphicet smiled.

"Thank you, but now I want to go out for a walk." Velvet decided.

"Then I'll go with you, best to have a friend going into the forest for a long walk." Laphicet offered to go with Velvet.

"Knock yourself out, not that it's gonna bother me." Velvet turned around to hide her blushing cheeks, but she smiles as well.

"We can even ride Hono if we want to." Laphicet offered and his Fire Direwolf comes out of his shadow.

"It would be my honor to let you both ride on my back." Hono smiled.

"While we're on the subject, how about letting Hono do some walking with us because I don't think he's been getting enough exercise outside of the shadow." Velvet looked at Hono a bit closer.

"How are your legs feeling?" Velvet asked.

"They feel mighty with the burning passion to serve my Master with the fires of Seven Rings of Hell!" Hono assured in a dramatic fashion.

Hono also raises his two front legs and slams it back down the ground causing two pillars of fire to pop out of the ground right next to him, and the fire ended up burning some of the grass and the bench that spook Laphicet a bit.

"Hono! Too much fire!" Velvet yelled with a serious scolding look.

"I'm sorry." Hono scared and put out the fire with a huff of his howl.

"Let just go for that walk." Laphicet chuckled.

"In fact…" Laphicet spotted a random stick and picked it up.

"Let's make this a long walking game of fetch." Laphicet held the stick to Hono.

"Oh yes, I wish to partake in this game of fetch I heard from Howler about it and sounds a lot of fun!" Hono excited with his tail wagging so fast and hard that causes strong wind blowing behind.

"Then it's time for… fetch!" Laphicet threw the stick so strong that it rockets toward the forest.

"The fetching has begun!" Hono excited screaming with a howl.

"Guess we're doing some searching for a stick." Velvet shrugged.

"Don't worry, it'll still be fun for us." Laphicet promised as he grabs her hand and drags her away.

"I guess we'll be going now! Make sure to check on the stew I've been wiping up and keep it cool when it's done cooking!' Velvet yelled at Belial about the stew.

(Later)

Laphicet, Velvet, and Hono are now seen walking together through the woods with the fire wolf sniffing the ground to try searching for the stick with his scent, Laphicet look around until he spotted something that seems to be unique and cool at the same time.

"Check out this strange looking fruit, it's so jelly like and shiny!" Laphicet held up the strange looking food.

"Oh hey, that's a gel." Velvet surprised to see one out here.

"A gel?" Laphicet confused.

"Gels are these mysterious looking fruit substances that have the power to heal wounds of any injuries with a bite though it's not up to a 100%, but they can heal mostly." Velvet explained.

"Wow, a food that can actually heal things! I thought things like this would only appear in stories." Laphicet amazed.

"Guess you must not have learn that because I heard some dragon have some knowledge what goes on in the woods." Velvet chuckled as she walks past him.

"Huh, right. You could say I was focus on other things." Laphicet chuckled as he put the gel in his sag.

"So, how much can a gel heal the person?" Laphicet asked catching up to Velvet with his wings.

"Well, that all depends on the different kind of peals you find. From what I know, there are only kinds of gels that are apple, pineapple, grapes, and melons with each having different effects of how much they can heal you with one being the lowest and the other being the highest close a 100%." Velvet explained.

"Wow, that's amazing! Did you have gels back in your home village?" Laphicet asked amazes of how well knowledgeable Velvet is.

"Yeah, we had the apple gels which have the lowest healing effect which is about 30% as some would think it's lame." Velvet answered.

"I say that's still better than nothing, you would be able to heal the injuries you got and wait for the rest to heal on its own." Laphicet believed with a smile.

"That's right, and I had to keep learning that the hard way when I kept coming back from the woods with some bruises with prickleboar hunting." Velvet chuckled.

"Those prickleboars must be really tough beasts to hunt." Laphicet said.

"Well, there were a few monsters along the way, but I managed to take them down." Velvet smirked popping out her sword.

"Yeah, you're certainly strong." Laphicet chuckled.

"Well, there was a help…" Velvet said softly.

"Huh?" Laphicet wondered what Velvet was saying.

"It's nothing. Hono, have you sniff out the stick yet?" Velvet asked.

"Yes, the trail is getting a little stronger in this direction! Follow me." Hono smiled and runs into the direction where the nose caught.

"Wait up, buddy!" Laphicet said as he and Velvet run after the red wolf.

The three passes through some trees and bushes with some big leaves until they stumble upon a large river with the water rushing like fast rain going down heavy and some stones.

"This looks like a cool river to go for a place to do some surfing practice." Velvet impressed with the river.

"Surfing practice? Velvet, that's dangerous! You could get really hurt and may not even have a gel on you." Laphicet concerned.

"I was kidding." Velvet chuckled.

"Let just cross this river to find that stick." Velvet said as she starts jumping from stone to stone.

Laphicet flies over the river with Hono making a far jump across the entire river in one jump with a burning landing, but Laphicet was able to put out that fire with the strong flap of his wings.

"You really need to control your fire better." Laphicet said with a slight deadpan expression.

"I know, but I can still smell the stick!" Hono smiled and charges forward ahead of the two.

"(Man, this reminds me of the time I used to do some dog sitting back in my old world. The dogs would always get so excited and the chasing of the squirrels.)" Laphicet thought smiled.

Laphicet look over to Velvet with the sunlight shining on her face making her black hair twinkle like it has lots of stars, her little fierce smile even makes him feel like his heart is beating a little faster than normal with his wings flapping making him fly.

"Trying to find the stick from the sky view?" Velvet asked, making him realize that he is flying.

"Oh, huh, yeah, just wanting to help my awesome wolf." Laphicet chuckled blushing, but then he spotted something about that is close to them.

"Hey, I think I see something over there!" Laphicet pointed the way.

"The stick is over there!" Hono said and they go over there.

They go over to the area that spotted where there are big looking pig creatures with black manes and big tusks walking around.

"Wow, those are big pigs." Laphicet surprised.

"Those are prickleboars, and from the looks of them, they're the Heavy Prickleboars." Velvet glared at the prickleboars.

"I see the stick!" Hono spotted the stick.

"Well, let's go get the stick." Velvet grinned at Laphicet who smiles back.

"Hono, fetch!" Laphicet commanded.

Honoc charges in with a howl that got the Heavy Prickleboars' attention as few of them charges at the red wolf, but Hono easily defeats them with his fire stomp move like he did earlier. Velvet comes in slashing away five of the pricklerboars with Laphicet punching away the remaining ones with his physical strength.

"I got the stick!" Hono grabbed the stick with his mouth.

"That was quite the game of fetch, and it looks like we can take some prickleboar meat home." Velvet smiled.

"Think we can go walking together?" Laphcet asked.

"I would love that." Velvet smiled making Laphicet smile back.
