I come from a world where the supernatural don't exist, there's no such thing as vampires or werewolves. So, imagine my surprise when one day I wake up and I'm no longer in my world, I'm in the world of twilight. A book series written from a dream and now I'm living in it, vampires and werewolves. I thought that it was quite unfair that I was left human though, I could be sent to a different world, but I couldn't at least have been made a vampire? I'm getting ahead of myself now; I suppose I should start from the beginning.

Chapter one – Upside down

It was late fall and I sucked in a breath as I looked across the hillside once more before I had to make the journey back to my house and back to the realities of my life. I was seventeen years old, and I have lived in the care system pretty much my whole entire life. I didn't know who my parents were, the only thing I have from them is my name, Violet Grey. I stood up and brushed the dirt off my trousers and picked up my book I was reading and tucked it underneath my arm. It was Breaking Dawn, the last book of the twilight series which I had already read probably about fifty times already, I had loved the books ever since they had come out, The Cullen family always intrigued me. They had all come from different backgrounds and found a family within each other. It made me long to be a part of a family like that.

I listened to the sound of the fall leaves crunching underneath my feet, getting closer and closer to the house I sighed. I didn't want to go back, I felt trapped like a lion in a cage, I just wanted a better life and I felt as though I was never going to be free. I finally made it to the main road and put my earphones in, I didn't want the hustle of the inner city ringing in my ears and so I thought that I would settle for some country music instead. Bad move, I didn't hear the truck coming and stepped out into the road. The last thing I saw from this world was beaming headlights.

I woke up with the most furious headache I had ever felt in my life, it was like someone was whacking a brick against my brain. I slowly opened my eyes and blinked away the harshness of the lights above me. After several moments my eyes had finally adjusted to the lights, I looked over to see where a rather annoying beeping noise was coming from. As my eyes locked to the heart rate monitor, I let out a groan, I was in the hospital which means only one thing. The truck got me. I sat up a little and started to scan the room, something was definitely wrong and that's when I saw the sign on one of the charts next to my bed, 'Forks General Hospital', that couldn't be right. I know Forks is a real place, but I'd never been here, I'm from London, England and I was just outside of London when the accident happened. How the hell is that even possible? I could hear my heart monitor speeding up as I got more anxious about what the heck was happening, that's when the door softly opened and I couldn't believe who had just stepped through the door.

Pale. Blond. Movie Star handsome and those striking golden eyes.

Dr. Carlisle Cullen..

I couldn't take my eyes off of him as he came towards me with a furrowed brow, he placed his hand gently on my shoulder and told me to breathe. Right, I realised that since he walked into the room that I hadnt taken a single breath. I inhaled sharply and looked into his golden eyes.

"This can not be happening…." The words flew out of my mouth faster than I intended them too, he gave a sympathetic look. "Accidents happen but you're safe here." His words were kind as he spoke but I shook my head.

"No you don't understand. This can't be possible, this can't be real. You can't be real." I pinched at my arm to see if I was dreaming but alas I wasn't. Carlisle took a breath (which I knew he didn't need) and picked up the chart.
"You have a concussion, it can cause confusion. You may be feeling a little disorientated." He tried to assure me which in turn began to frustrate me as he didn't know what I was talking about.
"No, you don't understand." I leant forward and looked at him seriously. "Your name is Carlisle Cullen and you're a vampire." The words left my mouth quietly in a whisper, I watched as his eyes widened and the confusion spread over his face.

"How do you know?" was all he asked.

"Because you're a character in a book series and I am clearly not where I'm meant to be right now."
