Carl and Laurel
Carl was kissing Laurel. She had left home in the middle of the night and had run to join him. They had fallen in loved last week but her parents hadn't approved of him. He had no resources and no prospects. His father wanted him to work sweeping streets has soon as he was finished with school. Which wouldn't be long since he couldn't afford to pay for a long education. Her parents however were in the Senate. She didn't care. "I wish this time could last forever." She said. Then they heard the screams and looking up she realized in horror that she would get her wish. They were going to die.
