AN: I'm not too happy with this chapter, it gave me some trouble writing, but it's the best I could do. I'm running out of things to happen in 3rd year, so it'll end in the next few chapters, so I just wrote Christmas break in Loki's pov, and you get to see how Sirius and Loki act towards each other as an actual couple.

Warning at the beginning of the chapter Loki is male, so there is two guys kissing and hints they've done other things and some teasing.

Disclaimer I don't own Marvel or Harry Potter .

Chapter 12: Christmas Break

Loki walked out of the bathroom and paused as he noticed Sirius sitting in the middle of their bed, meditating with his magic flowing from his fingers; the pillows next to him were floating in the air. Sirius had gotten up before Loki and had already showered and gotten dressed; the shirt he had chosen for the day had a low collar, and it didn't hide the few marks Loki had put on his neck last night and nearly every night since October, plus the day of Sirius's birthday, he and Loki celebrated it by spending all day in bed doing everything and anything they could think of to each other; that night, as they laid in bed together, Loki thought about how Harry and Sirius are in danger of growing old and dying within a short lifespan, hundred even a few hundred years was short compared to Loki and he was set on that not happening; the first chance he got, he planned to sneak onto Asgard and steal two of Idunn's apples.

Loki looked away from Sirius as he walked further into the room and sat at the table, then looked over the Marauder's Map when Remus had brought it to Sirius; Loki had been impressed with the talent it would have taken to create it. They were lucky that Fred and George hadn't looked at it much this year, before Remus took it from them and hadn't noticed Loki and Sirius's names. As Loki looked over it, he saw Hermione in the library, Snape in Dumbledore's office, Remus in the Great Hall, and Ron and Harry in their dorms, probably sleeping in; it was a Sunday. Pettigrew was in there also; good, Ron hadn't taken him out of the cage, which was why Remus had brought the map to Sirius, not only to show it to him but also so that he could keep an eye on Pettigrew. And there was no risk of anyone seeing their names on it.

Loki glanced over at Sirius, who hadn't moved from what he was doing; they had their first fight a few weeks ago, and Harry had been the topic of said fight; Sirius hadn't been very pleased with how Loki had just blurted out to Harry about being Jotunn and then had just as quickly let the conversation change. Sirius had saw the confusion in Harry's eyes and his eagerness to hear more, but Loki wasn't ready for that yet and had no idea why she even told Harry in the first place. She didn't think, caught up in the moment. Sirius was not pleased with that answer, and their disagreement began, with Sirius wanting Loki to explain to Harry what a Jotunn was and Loki didn't want to think about it; Sirius was getting frustrated with how Loki hated that part of himself and voiced needing to find a way to Asgard, when Loki had asked why, Sirius had replied so he could pouch Odin in his ugly face, Loki had told him not to be stupid, he'd just get himself killed.

And that ended the conversation, and Sirius hadn't mentioned it again. Loki decided he was right, but it still took her a while to be able to approach Harry, confessed to having Jotunn blood herself and ask if he'd like to hear more about Jotunn and Jotunheim; Harry agreed, and they spent lunchtime together in Loki's classroom with Loki telling Harry all about the realm their ancestors had come from; by the time Harry had to hurry to get to his next class Loki had felt even closer to him, and Sirius had turned human long enough to tell Loki he was proud of her, but she hadn't done it for Sirius or herself; she had done it for Harry. Every sense looking into his memories, Loki has been thinking about Harry a lot; his life was not a happy one, and Harry was only thirteen; Loki couldn't help but blame himself for that, and his scar, Loki felt something in it when touching it to read his memories he didn't like, but Loki could not figure out what that was, Harry's scar just didn't feel right. And it was bothering Loki greatly.

As if he sensed Loki watching him, Sirius opened his eyes, and raised his eyebrow in question; Loki pointed to the pillows, and Sirius looked to see them floating; he looked back at Loki and gave him a grin, and raised his hand, causing one of the pillows to rise higher, and then Sirius suddenly sent it flying toward Loki, who caught it right before it hit his face and gave Sirius a glare that caused him to laugh; Loki then sent the pillow flying back at Sirius, who cast a shield charm, and the pillow bounced off it and fell to the floor.

"Throwing pillows at me, you're so mean," Sirius joked, standing and walking over to where Loki was sitting; he leaned down to kiss him before turning to the map and checking to see if Pettigrew was still in Harry's dorm.

"I do believe you threw it at me first," Loki replied, his eyes going to Sirius's tattoo, he loved seeing his symbol on Sirius's arm.

"I hate the thought of our son being in the same room as that murderous bastard," Sirius said, which he said almost every time he looked at the map; Loki agreed, but they only had a few months left, then they'll tell Harry the truth, get the rat from Ron, turn him in, get Sirius's name cleared, gain custody of their son, become a family, and then Loki can start working on his other plans.

"I think we should work on some of your abilities today." Loki replied.

A few weeks ago, Sirius's weird symptoms had started getting worse. First, his headaches got more painful, then Sirius started getting nosebleeds and hearing faint voices in his head. Loki realized then that Sirius's symptoms were because he not only developed telekinesis, which Loki had already started helping him control, but also telepathy, which explained the voices, feeling other's emotions, and realistic dreams, so Loki showed Sirius some other things he could do to relax his mind. So, he wouldn't be hearing people's thoughts or feeling their emotions. It had helped, for the most part, but now Loki thought it was time Sirius learned to use the abilities.

"All you ever want to do is work," Sirius said, sitting down and propping his legs on the table. "I can think of something more fun we can be doing."

"I'm sure you can," Loki replied, "That's all you ever want to do."

Loki stood and walked over to the bookshelf, and looked it over until he found the book he was looking for, then brought it back over and handed it to Sirius.

"Read that; it'll help you understand what you should be able to do with your new abilities," Loki told him, Sirius frowned at the book.

"Reigny, you've known me for fifteen years; in any of that time, have you ever seen me read a book?" Sirius asked.

"No, but I'll make you a deal," Loki answered; he put his hand on Sirius's knee, then slowly moved it upward to Sirius's thigh, as he bent down and whispered in Sirius's ear "Read that book or go back to sleeping on the sofa."

"Oh, you really are evil," Sirius replied. Laughing, Loki moved his hand away and Sirius reached out and wrapped his arm around Loki's waist and pulled him to him, smiling. Loki bent down to kiss him.

November, like October and September, seemed to go by fast, and soon the weather turned colder outside. As it started getting into December, snow began to fall. When it got closer to the holiday break, the professors became a little lax on their assignments and temporarily stopped giving homework, except for Snape, which was no surprise to anyone, especially since he's been in a bad mood lately, more so than usual. When school let out for the holidays, most students went home, including Hermione. Ron and Harry stayed at school, and one day when Loki and Sirius were outside enjoying the snowy weather, Loki was suddenly hit in the face with a ball of snow.

"Professor Ikol, I'm so sorry." Harry was suddenly there in front of her; as she wiped off her face. "I was aiming at Ron."

"Why are you throwing snow anyway?" Loki demanded as Sirius barked and came up to Harry.

"We are having a snowball fight," Ron answered; Loki frowned at him in confusion.

"Pardon, you are having a what?" Loki asked; Ron and Harry glanced at each other.

"You've never heard of a snowball fight?" Ron asked; Loki shook her head.

"Here, I'll show you." To Loki's surprise, Harry grabbed her arm and dragged her over to where he and Ron had been playing, then picked up a handful of snow, formed it into a ball, and had Loki throw it at Ron she did with so much force that it knocked him down.

"Are you alright?" Loki asked, amusement in her voice.

Ron stood back up, laughing, and made a snowball of his own and tossed it at Loki, hitting her in the shoulder; Loki frowned, then got another snowball and threw it at Ron again (barely using any of her strength) and that started a snowball fight between Ron, Harry, and Loki, with Sirius running around and barking happily, playing in the snow; afterward, Loki invited them into her living quarters to warm up and gave Harry and Ron a cup of hot chocolate. Loki had used magic to dry them both, and herself, as they sat in her sitting area, talking about anything that came to mind as they drank their hot chocolate.

Ron told Loki all about his family, his two eldest brothers; the two she didn't have to teach seemed interesting enough, with somewhat exciting jobs, Percy the eldest that was still at Hogwarts, was one of her least favorite students, a bit stuck up and bossy, always wearing his Head Boy badge; Fred and George were amusing, though she could do without the crush they had on her, Ginny was talented and intelligent, she enjoyed Loki's lessons, she found how Ron described his father amusing but didn't care much for the description of his mother, reminded Loki too much of Odin, always yelling about one thing or another and comparing their children with each other, Loki realized then how much she could relate to Ron; she hated being overshadowed by Thor. Loki couldn't imagine having five Thors she had to compete with.

"So, this telepathy thing, I can read minds with it?" Sirius asked, walking over to the sofa where Loki was sitting, writing in the journal Harry gave her and when she looked up, she was pleasantly surprised to see Sirius had the book she gave him in his hand as he sat down on the sofa next to her.

"When you learn how to control it, yes." Loki answered, "It's basic level skills; telepathy is more of an umbrella term for any ability that involves projecting, reading, and manipulating thoughts or affecting and interacting with all aspects of the mind."

"Yeah, that's what the book says," Sirius said, "It has some pretty neat things in here, but there are different levels of skills, different things; I'm a bit confused on that; what level would I be at now?"

"Basic," Loki replied, "And barely that; you just gained these abilities and have yet to gain control over them, but since they were given to you by the mind stone, you should be more powerful than most telepaths, but what you can do has nothing to do with how powerful, but how skilled, you work hard enough and stay focus you should learn in no time."

"What level are you?" Sirius asked.

"Master level," Loki replied; she smirked as Sirius flipped through the book to almost the back.

"So you're the third highest level, two more above you." Sirius replied.

"Yes, but I'm the best at my level." Loki replied.

"Possession?" Sirius said, "This book says people at your level can possess people."

"I can." Loki replied. "I can also do partial possession."

"How?" Sirius asked.

"My astral form leaves my body and enters another," Loki replied.

"Do you mean your soul?" Sirius asked.

"No, your astral form is more like your consciousness or mind." Loki explained, "If you know what you are doing, you can remove it from your body, and enter others' mind; it can be very dangerous to yourself or the other person if done wrong."

"And partial possession?" Sirius asked.

"That's where just part of my consciousness enters someone's mind, and I can control them while still having control over my own body." Loki explained, "You are not in complete control over the other person that way, they have a better chance of fighting you off, but you are not leaving your body vulnerable either."

"Have you done it before?" Sirius asked.

"Once," Loki replied, "Thor was not amused."

"You know, if I can get the hang of these abilities they could help me in a dual. If I can sense or feel my opponent's next move, I can easily avoid it." Sirius said.

"That's what I do," Loki admitted, "But it's not always easy; it's hard to concentrate on that while also keeping your mind on the fight, plus some people can not be read, their emotions are either too chaotic, or they are too good at hiding them."

"Would I be able to read yours?" Sirius asked.

"No," Loki replied. "And no, you may not try."

"So with a total possession, you completely leave your body?" Sirius asked, "So, you're what temporarily dead?"

"No, more in a deep sleep." Loki replied, "But I would not be able to defend myself if I was attacked."

"Then you're not ever doing it," Sirius said.

"I beg your pardon?" Loki demanded.

"At least not unless I'm there to keep you safe," Sirius said.

"Being a bit protective of me, are you?" Loki asked, not knowing if she should be annoyed or amused.

"Do you think Thori will mail a letter for me?" Sirius asked; Loki paused at the sudden topic change, ensuring she heard the question right before answering.

"Why? Who do you want to write to?" Loki demanded.

"I want to order Harry something for Christmas; I was going to use his name and tell them to take the money from my vault," Sirius explained.

"What were you wanting to buy Harry?" Loki asked.

"A Firebolt," Sirius said, "It's the best broom out right now, and Harry needs a new one."

"I'll order the firebolt for you." Loki replied.

"Reigny, I have my own money; I can buy a Christmas gift for my son," Sirius said.

"It will be easier if you let me order it, love, and I will put on the card it's from Jinx." Loki replied.

"Fine, but I'm paying you back when I have access to my vault," Sirius replied. Loki said nothing, not wanting to have that argument again. If Sirius did pay her back, Loki would just put the money aside for Harry.

Christmas morning seemed to arrive fast, and Loki and Sirius spent most of it together in her quarters. Then at dinner time, they went down to the Great Hall to find that the house tables were moved against the walls and a single table stood in the middle of the room. Professors Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Filch, Spurt, Flitwick, Harry, Ron, two nervous-looking first years and a sullen-faced Slytherin fifth year.

"Merry Christmas," said Dumbledore as Loki and Sirius headed toward the table. The only available seat was on Harry's other side, and Loki gladly took it, even if it put her sitting across from Snape.

"I hope it's alright. I brought Jinx along." Loki said as Harry grinned at Sirius and gave him a giant turkey leg.

"Happy Christmas, Harry." Loki greeted. "And to you, Ron, of course."

"Happy Christmas, Professor," Harry replied. He was smiling, and Loki knew he was itching to thank her for the Firebolt; after Loki had put from Jinx on the card, Sirius left a paw print under the name.

"Crackers!" said Dumbledore enthusiastically, offering the end of a large silver noisemaker to Snape, who took it reluctantly and tugged. With a bang like a gunshot, the cracker flew apart to reveal a large pointed witch's hat topped with a stuffed vulture. Snape's mouth thinned, and he pushed the hat toward Dumbledore, who swapped it for his wizard's hat at once.

Loki struck up a conversation with Harry and Ron; Snape glared at them and then scowled when Harry gave Sirius more food.

"Dose the dog have to be at the table? It's bad enough he is allowed in the Great Hall.' Snape said. "People do eat here."

"Funny, I asked Remus that same question about you not long ago," Loki replied before she started eating.

"I guess the dog is better than the human company you used to keep," Snape replied.

"Which is better than the company I'm sure you kept," Loki replied, taking a drink of mead.

"Well, I'm not keeping any company anymore," Snape replied, "Can the same be said for you?"

"I have no idea what you are speaking of," Loki replied, "The only company I've been around lately is Remus, Jinx, and my students."

"Then where do you disappear to lately?" Snape demanded. "Every weekend since October, you have disappeared; you don't show up for any meals, and it's been common not to see you anywhere at all. Are you sneaking off during the weekends to visit an old..friend?" Snape curled his top lip up, at the word friend.

"You sure are one paranoid man," Loki replied, "I have been staying in my quarters on weekends for some time to myself, grading students' assignments or just relaxing with a good book."

"I don't believe that," Snape said, "You'd have to be able to read to relax with a good book." Sirius started to growl at him, and Loki reached down to calm him.

"Is that why you never wash your hair? You can not read the instructions on the shampoo bottle," Loki said.

"Mock me all you want; I still don't trust you, and I'm keeping my eyes on you," Snape said.

"Leave her alone," Harry demanded, surprising everyone but no more so than Loki who looked at him with a shock look on her face; Snape narrowed his eyes at Harry, but before he could say anything McGogongall spoke up.

"It's Christmas." McGogongall said, "And we're all here to enjoy a nice dinner; how about we not fight and instead enjoy our nice meal?"

"Here, here." Dumbledore cheered, raising a glass of pumpkin juice. "I couldn't have said it better myself."

"And Potter, I must warn you not to speak to your professors with such disrespect." McGogongall said; Loki glared at her, not liking Harry getting in trouble for sticking up for her.

"Yes, ma'am," Harry replied. The rest of the meal went by in mostly silence.

The next day while Sirius was hanging out with Remus in his living quarters, Loki was hanging out in her's when there was a knock on her door; curious, she had set her work aside to answer it to see Harry standing there.

"Harry, this is a pleasant surprise," Loki replied, "do come in."

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything," Harry replied, entering the room.

"Of course not." Loki replied, "Was there something you needed?"

"I just wanted to thank you for the firebolt," Harry replied, "You really shouldn't have bought me something so expensive, but I appreciate it."

"Jinx is the one you should thank," Loki replied, smiling a little, as she invited Harry to sit at the table and offered him some hot chocolate.

"Where is Jinx?" Harry asked.

"Visiting with Remus," Loki replied, as she added marshmallows on top of Harry's hot chocolate; she had used magic to heat a cup of water so she could make it faster.

"Thanks." Harry grinned as Loki sat the cup in front of him before sitting in the chair across from Harry; it was a good thing Sirius had taken the Marauder's Map to Remus's with him, or else Harry would have seen it and Loki and Sirius's name on it.

"I probably should thank you for defending me yesterday," Loki said, "Though I am sorry you got in trouble over it, tell me though, is there a reason you did it?"

"Snape is always bullying people. It just gets me mad." Harry replied, "Plus, you've been nice to me, and you're the best teacher in the school; he shouldn't belittle you in front of the other staff."

"I wasn't exactly nice to him, but I appreciate the thought," Loki replied.

"He started it," Harry said, "I guess I get too defensive when it comes to people I consider friends; I used to not have any before Hogwarts, and now that I do, I...feel like I have to be careful because a very few like me for me."

"Ah, yes, the price of fame," Loki replied, "Something famous people have to go through; unlike most, you didn't choose your fame; it was thrust upon you."

"I think you're the first person besides me to say that," Harry said.

"I can relate somewhat, except it wasn't my fame everyone was after," Loki replied, "I was raised in a family of leaders and warriors and were well respected; my former brother was probably the most popular of us, and more often than not people only wanted to be my friend so they could get close to him."

"That's awful," Harry said, looking angry; Loki smiled.

"You are sweet, but no need to get upset; that's all in the past," Loki said, "You have a rare character, Harry; you were given a hard life, yet, you are very compassionate and kind; the proof of that is in the color of your magic."

"There's a reason for the color of my magic?" Harry asked.

"Oh yes, your magic comes from within you and reflects your personality," Loki explained. "Colors have lots of meaning in magic. So do animals, which often reflects in a Patronus form or what animal someone's animagi is."

"What does gold mean?" Harry asked.

"Gold is often a symbol of power and wealth, but it also stands for compassion and generosity, which means you are pure at heart." Loki explained.

"I'm not that good of a person," Harry replied, his face turning red from the compliment." Loki chuckled. "What about my Patronus?"

"A wolf means you're loyal, understanding, and intelligent," Loki replied, "and also means you have a strong connection to your instincts, good with teamwork, and wolves can also be a symbol of freedom, and known to be protective."

"That doesn't sound like me," Harry said.

"I think it dose," Loki replied, sitting aside her now empty mug.

"Do you have a patrouns?" Harry asked.

"No, as I explained before, my magic wored differently," Loki said.

"So, you can't defend yourself from dementors?" Harry asked.

"Do not worry, Harry, I have other ways, besides dementors don't affect me." Loki replied.

That's good." Harry said; they were quiet a moment, then Harry spoke again.

"Professor Ikol, this summer, right before my birthday, I got this gold dagger in the mail; did you send that to me? "

"I did," Loki replied, seeing no reason to lie.

"Why? You didn't even know me then." Harry asked.

"I'm sorry, Harry, I can not tell you why at the moment." Loki replied, "But once you learn, you'll understand."

Harry became quiet again, then looked in his empty mug before he stood.

"I better get back to Gryffindor Tower. Thanks for the hot chocolate." he said.

"You're welcome," Loki replied, feeling a little sad as she watched Harry leave; the poor kid, his childhood left him with no confidence. Loki and Sirius differently had to change that.

AN I hope you enjoyed it, like I said 3rd year will end soon, in like 3 or 4 chapters, then we'll see the Avengers again, but it won't be until after the fourth year that they see Loki again; I have a plan on how and when, but hopefully after 3rd year it'll start getting better. And try to show The Avengers more.

I have been looking up Loki's abilities in the comics (he has so many its hard to remember them all) telepathy isn't listed as one, but he can possess people and on a list, I saw online, that's showed the abilities connected to telepathy in fiction, so I just put Loki had it, and the whole levels thing came from that as well.

Loki isn't leaving Hogwarts during the weekend like Snape thought, Loki and Sirius have just been spending most the time alone in Loki's room.

I forgot to add in the last chapter, I had Remus confiscate the Marauder's map from Fred and George, because there wasn't any way I could think of that Harry wouldn't see Sirius's or Loki's name on it when looking at it. I thought of leaving it out of the story or 3rd year, but I changed my mind.
