AN: I'm sorry it's been a while since I updated this story, but I had a bit of writer's block, hopefully, that's gone now, plus I've been really busy last couple of months. Warning, there is a brief mention of something in this chapter that some may find uncomfortable so I thought would warn you, and this chapter is showing Harry adjusting to having new parents, and spending time with them. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for reading.

Chapter 17: Harry's New Life.
"Hold your arm like this," Loki said, taking hold of Harry's arm and arranging it where it was held out, but bent at the elbow, "Now hold your dagger like this."
"The dagger is heavy," Harry complained, holding his arm out the way Loki showed him.
"It's made of gold from Nidavellier, of course it's heavy," Loki replied, kicking the side of Harry's feet gently, making him move them to stand a certain way. Then he moved to stand at Harry's side. "Bring your arm back, like this, then with all the strength you can, bring it forward and toss the dagger."
Harry did what he was told, and his dagger did hit the tree trunk he was aiming at, but it didn't stick in it, instead bounced off and landed on the ground in front of it.
"Damn," Harry swore, disappointed.
"That's a good start, just try to put a little more strength into your throw," Loki said.
"You'll get it, kiddo," Sirius said, he stood on Harry's other side and held out his hand and the dagger zoomed into it. "When your mum first showed me how it was hard for me too, it took me a little time, before I could do it."
Sirius threw the dagger the way Loki had shown Harry, and it stuck into the tree trunk and stayed there.
"You both make it look so easy," Harry said, scowling.
"You just have to practice, then you'll get it," Loki said, "You need to put more strength into it, you are half God, you should have a bit more strength than people your age and size, you just need to find it."
Loki made the dagger come back to him and handed it to Harry, who frowned at what Loki had said.
"Half God?" Harry asked.
"Yes, I'm a God, your father is a mortal, so, you are half God," Loki said.
"But, aren't you mortal? I mean, you can die, right? Not that I want you to." Harry quickly added.
"I can die in battle, but it would take a lot to put me down, " Loki replied, "But I can't die of sickness or diseases, and I have at least five thousand more years before I even begin to start to age properly and even then I can just eat another one of Idunn's apples, and the aging process will stop for another five thousand or so years."
"Oh," Harry said, looking down at the dagger in his hand, he suddenly felt bad for Loki, if he cared for him, and Harry knew he did care a lot for Sirius, they'll both die long before Loki, he'll be left alone, Harry knows how that feels, no one should have to go through that. This is one of the reasons Harry agreed to visit them on the weekends, he was desperate to have a family of his own, even if it was just his parents and no siblings, and even if getting close to Loki, kept making Harry feel guilty, he was just so confused about everything.
"Is something wrong?" Loki asked.
"No, just thinking," Harry replied, then tossed the dagger, it hit the trunk but fell to the ground, so, he had to try again, then again, and again, it took over a dozen tries before Harry got the dagger to stick in the tree, but it only stayed for a second, before dropping to the ground.
"Stupid tree," Harry mumbled, deciding it was the tree's fault.
"How about we move on to something else for now?" Loki suggested, handing the dagger to Harry. "I'll show you how to disarm someone."
"Okay," Harry agreed, as Loki had him hold his arm like he did when throwing the dagger, but this time Loki kept ahold on Harry's arm.
"If someone comes toward you with a weapon, you move towards them and turn sideways like this." Loki showed him, "While knocking their arm away if someone is pointing a wand at you, you will have to be quick, so they don't have time to cast a spell."
"Okay," Harry nodded.
"I'm going to show you now," Loki said, stepping back from Harry, "Come at me with your dagger."
Harry did what Loki asked, and before he even took a step toward him, Loki did the move he showed Harry, and had the dagger from him before Harry even realized it and was flipping it in the air, with a smirk.
"How do you do that?" Harry asked.
"What? Flip the dagger?" Loki asked, "It's easy, hold your hand out." Harry did, and Loki set his dagger in his palm and folded his fingers around the handle, "Do not hold it tightly when you toss it in the air and flick your wrist slightly. It should flip once, allowing you to catch it by the handle."
Harry did what Loki said, and was able to flip the dagger.
"I did it," Harry grinned, doing it again.
"Very good," Loki replied, smiling a little.
"Of course you did," Sirius said. "You inherited my talent."
"Hush," Loki said, then reached out and grabbed Sirius's arm, and pulled Sirius next to him. "Put the dagger away, and I'll show you how to counter an attack."
"You're always making me the guinea pig," Sirius said, as Loki arranged him to stand the way he wanted him to.
"I don't know what you mean by that, but with how much you eat, the pig part is accurate," Loki said.
"You're not funny," Sirius replied. Though his near smile would suggest otherwise.
"Watch closely, Harry," Loki orderd, "When someone tries to strike you, you grab their arm to stop the punch, then, take your foot and knock their legs out from under them, while dropping your body a little, grab them like this, turn this way, and flip them over you like so."
Harry watched as Loki flipped Sirius over his shoulder, but when he landed on the ground he didn't hit hard, and Harry was sure Loki had something to do with that, not wanting to hurt Sirius, who got up immediately.
"There is another way to stop an attack," Loki said, "When someone is running toward you, when they get close enough, duck, and grab them behind their knees, as you raise, you'll flip them over you."
Loki flipped Sirius again, and again when he landed on the ground, he didn't hit hard and got back up, grinning, Harry had a feeling he was having fun being tossed around.
"If someone comes at you from behind," Loki said, turning his back to Sirius, who then walked up behind him, and put his arms around Loki's waist. "you can grab the back of their neck like so, right above the back, drop down to one knee, and flip them over your back."
Loki didn't toss Sirius that time, Harry figured he was afraid of hurting Sirius's neck, and then they started teaching Harry other moves, and even had Harry try some of them on Sirius, though, of course, Harry wouldn't be able to flip Sirius over his shoulder, so, he didn't actually try.
"Remember, if someone is fighting you, they are not going to just stand and let you have the upper hand, you have to fight for it," Loki said, "That goes for us too, once you learn to do these moves, we won't go easy on you."
Harry nodded, Loki always reminded him of this each fighting lesson they had, which was every morning after breakfast until lunchtime, during his weekend visits to Loki's cottage, Harry didn't mind though, they never pushed him too hard, and with the dreams he's had all summer, Harry had a feeling it might be needed. He was getting better with each lesson and Sirius was right, Loki liked to make sure those he cared about can protect themselves, they'd even been showing him how to do a few wandless spells. Which wasn't easy, and required Harry to do a lot of meditation, and focus on his magic, which Harry hasn't fully learned how yet.
"Kiddo, there is something I want you to remember too." Sirius said, "When your life is on the line, don't be afraid to fight dirty, if someone is trying to seriously hurt you or worse, you do what you have to to survive."
Harry felt a chill go down his spin at Sirius's words, he knew what Sirius might by do what you have to to survive and Harry doubted he'd be able to go as far as Sirius meant if his life was being threatened.
"We can stop for the day, go in and fix some lunch," Loki said, turning to Harry, and Sirius decided then would be a good time to try and catch Loki off guard, and try to toss him over his shoulder, but Sirius must not have been strong enough to lift Loki, because his attempt ended with both falling in the ground with Sirius landing on top of Loki, who pushed him off with an annoyed grown.
"I hate you," Loki mumbled while Sirius roared with laughter, Harry shook his head, Sirius had to be the only mortal alive that was dumb enough to antagonize Loki.
That night, Harry lay in bed eyes closed tightly, with his hand covering his forehead. He had once again awoken from a vivid dream with a burning pain coming from his scar. Harry opened his eyes and sat up, with one hand still on his scar, the other reaching out in the darkness for his glasses, which were on the bedside table. He put them on, and his bedroom came into focus, it was dark, but Harry's eyes adjusted to it quickly. He ran his fingers over the scar again. It was still painful. He turned on the lamp beside him, scrambled out of bed, crossed the room, opened the wardrobe, and peered into the mirror on the inside of the door. The lightning-bolt scar looked normal, but it was still stinging. Harry tried to recall what he had been dreaming about before he had awoken. It had seemed so real. There had been three people in a dark room, the same room, and people he keeps dreaming about, two were disagreeing about some plan until a cold snake-like voice told them both to shut up.
Harry ran his hand through his nearly shoulder-length hair and concentrated hard on what exactly they said, they mentioned a plan change, the Dark Lord, and something about twins being ready. Though Harry didn't know what plan they were talking about, or what twins they met, however he did know who the Dark Lord was, but Harry had no idea if these were dreams or real. Maybe it was time he told someone, but who? Hermione would demand he tell Dumbledore, and Harry had no idea where Dumbledore spent the summer or if Hedwig could even find him. Ron would suggest asking his dad if he knew what it meant, and no matter how much Harry liked Mr. Wesaley, he doubted he knew anything about cursed scars and the news of Harry being in pain would just cause Mrs. Wesaley to show up here and demand Harry go back to the Burrow, she was against Harry coming here on the weekends in the first place, she and Loki already had one big fight over Harry, thankfully that had been at Hogwarts in the presents of Albus Dumbledore, who was able to keep them from cursing one another.
Harry walked over to his bedroom window, pulled the curtains aside, and opened it, the night was warm, with a nice breeze, and Harry stood there looking out into the darkness wondering if he should tell Loki and Sirius, but the thought nearly gave Harry anxiety. He has been visiting them for just over a month now, and so far, everything was going fine, yeah, it had been a little awkward at first, Harry didn't know how to act around them, and it was also a little intimidating to be around Loki, who choose to be in his male form when at the cottage, and switch to female when they went out in public, but Harry soon got used to it and started seeing Loki as someone other than the mad man on the news. Sirius and Loki both have gone out of their way to make Harry happy while here, when Harry had his first visit, they surprised him with this room, which they completely redid to try and fit Harry's taste which explained why Loki's owl kept showing up at the Wesaley's with letters asking what Harry's favorite things were.
The Dursleys have never asked Harry's opinion on anything, never let him choose anything, watch any movies or television, he never got to play any games, or even allowed to decide what they had for dinner, even though he was usually the one doing the cooking, so, Harry didn't get into movies or television, never got into music or played any games expect Quidditch and didn't have a favorite anything. Harry didn't even have a favorite color when he was asked Harry wrote down blue, thinking of his Jotunn form, and that's the color his room was done in, and his parents did a good job decorating it to Harry's liking with the little information he gave them. The comforter on his bed was dark blue, the rug and curtains matched, and the stone walls had been painted frost blue, he had a desk and wardrobe in his room, and the lamp on his bedside table was shaped like a wolf, with a dark blue lampshade, there was a large glass wolf in the corner of his room, for decoration, Sirius had painted gold to match Harry's Patronus. A large snitch was hanging on the wall, Sirius had made out of metal, and also painted gold. Apparently, metalworking was an old hobby of his that he had gotten back into and even had a large building a few yards from the cottage with a workshop set up in it.
The morning after everything came out it was front-page news in the Daily Prophet, a whole article on Peter Pettigrew being alive and guilty, Sirius Black was innocent and was now wanting his name cleared and seeking custody of Harry Potter, that brought Mr. and Mrs. Wesaley to Hogwarts, where Mrs. Wesaley protested Harry going to live with Sirius, which is what led to the argument between Loki and Mrs. Wesaley, their shouting match had gotten so loud Harry feared for Mrs. Weasley's life, Dumbledore stepped in, got them both to calm down and explained to Mr. and Mrs. Wesaley about Sirius Black and Reigna Ikol being Harry's parents and how Lily and James Potter had adopted him, then asked Harry where he wanted to stay, Harry hated hurting his parents but said The Burrow, Sirius, and Loki looked hurt, but seem to understand, he assured them he wanted to still see them, and Hermione had come up with him spending weekends with Loki and Sirius, to get to know them better, Dumbledore thought it was a good idea and Loki and Sirius seemed happy with getting some time with him, Mrs. Wesaley was the only one who didn't seem to like the idea. Harry's true parentage and Reigna Ikol's real identity were something kept secret from the wizarding world for now, with only a hand full of people knowing. Reigna being Loki was even kept from Mr. and Mrs. Wesaley.
During his first weekend here, Sirius and Loki took Harry shopping for all new clothes, they let him pick what he wanted, not really caring, and just happy to have clothes that fit, he just got jeans and t-shirts, then Loki also grabbed him some dress clothes he didn't ask for but didn't mind, and when Harry had picked out black converse for his new shoes, Loki decided he also needed dress shoes and leather boots. After clothes shopping they took him to the grocery store, so Harry could pick out what he liked to eat, which had been hard for him, having never been given that choice before. So, he picked food he was familiar with and liked, and a few things he thought looked good.
Harry once again thought about mentioning his scar and dream to Loki and Sirius but pushed that thought away immediately, he didn't want his time with them ruined over having them worrying, or what if they think he isn't worth the trouble and stopped his weekend visits? Harry didn't want to be rejected by his real family, he had a chance of having one of his own, parents that were his, not Ron's, not Hermione's, or even Dudley's, his, and Harry wanted them to like him and want him around not out of pity or because they felt obligated or because Harry was forced upon them. But because they wanted to be a family with him. And knowing what Loki had done, and how both had just given him up, made him feel both guilty, and afraid, he wanted to have his own family, but what if he got close, and they decided to leave him again? They both promised they wouldn't, but he didn't know if he could trust that promise, and Loki was still wanted by the Avengers, what if they found him? He would have no choice but to leave, so Harry was trying to be happy with having a family now, but preparing himself for losing them, at least he would have some happy memories to look back on.
Harry crawled back into bed, switched the lamp off, and laid there watching the glowing rock on the bracelet Loki had made him, the band was made out of what Loki called Asgardain leather, and in the center of the band was a rock, which was glowing blueish-white color, on either side were two stones, the light blue one Loki called an Aquamarine, it was supposed to alleviate fear and anxiety, the purple stone, Loki called an Amethyst, it was supposed to calm emotions, together, along with the many spells and charms Loki put on the stones, they were working together to reverse the effects of the rock in the middle, and wearing it was supposed to prevent Harry from switching into his Jotunn form accidentally when angered or frightened, it was a temporary solution, just until Loki could figure out how Harry can learn to control it. When Loki had switched to his to freeze the Dementors, it had been out of anger and hadn't figured out how to switch into it without having heavy emotions or touching something of Jotunhaim. This is why Harry beloved the glowing rock came from there because Loki shifted into his Jotunn form the whole time he was touching it to put in the bracelet and snapped at Sirius when he touched his hand because he almost gave himself frostbite.
Harry turned over on his other side, and thought about all Sirius and Loki have done for him this summer, and he decided not to tell anyone about his dream or scar hurting, he didn't want anything ruining the limited time he might have with his parents. Not when he was just starting to like them.
Harry slept in late the next day, and when he got up, he expected to be told off when he left his room, but he was greeted by Loki who was acting no different than any other day, he even offered to heat up the breakfast Sirius had put aside for him, Sirius was out in his building fooling with his metal pieces was how Loki put it, and when Harry sat down at the table the headline on the front of the Daily Prophet lying there caught his eye.
Durmstrang Institute of Magic Without a headmaster.
Harry frowned, as he picked up the paper, he didn't know there was another magic school, though as he thought about it, it would make sense the world was a large place Hogwarts possibly couldn't house every magical kid in it. Harry decided to keep reading.
Just weeks after the Deputy Headmaster resigned and then mysteriously disappeared Durmstrang's Headmaster Igor Karkaroff was found dead in his home, it appears to have been the Killing Curse that struck him down, but was ruled a suicide, due to the curse coming from his wand, which was found in his hand. He had been dead two days before his body was found.
Harry sat the paper down with a weird feeling this Karkaroff guy didn't kill himself.
"How can someone know a spell came from a certain wand?" Harry asked. Loki glanced at the paper, then looked back at Harry.
"There's a spell called Priori Incantatem, it reveals the last spell a wand performs," Loki explained as the door opened and Sirius walked in.
"You're finally awake." Sirius greeted as he passed by Harry, he reached over and nicked a piece of bacon off his plate.
"We have plenty of food, do not take our son's," Loki said. Sirius opened the fridge and got out a butterbeer.
"The paper said, Igor Karkaroff was killed by the Killing Curse," Harry said, "I didn't know there was such a curse."
His words caused Loki to look at him with a confused expression, and Sirius paused as he was about to take a drink of his butterbeer and stared at Harry with his mouth slightly open.
"Harry has no one ever told you what happened the night James and Lily died? Besides what Sirius told you." Loki asked as Sirius walked over to stand next to Loki.
"A little, I know Voldemort killed James and Lily, then tried to kill me, and the spell somehow rebounded and hit Voldemort," Harry replied.
"So, no one ever told you what spell Voldemort used?" Sirius demanded.
"No...oh," Harry replied, their reaction finally making sense, as he reached up and rubbed his scar. "So, people can survive the Killing Curse?"
"Not people, Harry, you, as far as anyone knows, you are the only one that ever has," Sirius said.
Harry looked down and pushed his plate away, no longer hungry. "Do you think Karkaroff used it on himself as the paper says?"
"To be truthful, Kiddo, I doubt it, Karkaroff was a Death Eater, who ratted on a lot of his mates to stay out of Azkaban," Sirius said. "Someone else killed him, he didn't do it himself."
"I think we should change the topic of conversation," Loki said, "The weather outside is already making the day gloomy no need to add to it."
Harry looked out of the kitchen window, to see it was raining and windy outside, which would explain why Loki hadn't brought up Harry's lessons, they couldn't have any in that weather.
"I have an idea, Harry, come out to my workshop with me, I'll show you what I'm working on," Sirius said.
"What are you working on?" Loki asked, Sirius grinned at him.
"That my beautiful little Frost Gaint is a secret," Sirius said.
"Do not call me that," Loki said, giving Sirius a suspicious look, Sirius just grinned wider as he leaned in and kissed Loki, then pulled away and headed toward the door.
"You coming, Kiddo? Reigny can spend the day reading while we work in my workshop" Sirius said, Harry glanced at Loki, who gave Harry a nod, and he stood, and headed toward the door.
"You two make sure you don't track mud or water in the cottage when you come back in." Loki said as Harry stopped by the door to put on his shoes.
"Yes, Mother," Sirius replied.
"Do not call me that either," Loki said, and Sirius laughed as he and Harry headed out the door, he cast a spell over the both of them so they wouldn't get wet walking to the building where Sirius opened the door, and allowed Harry to enter first, he looked around curiously since he's never been in there before, it was mostly tabled lining the walls, piled full of metal pieces tools, and other equipment. Hanging on the walls was more tools, pictures and things Sirius made, like a giant lion head, a snake and wolf, and a dog. Harry looked behind him and noticed a forge, next to it was what looked like a giant metal glove sitting on a table next to the mold Sirius had used to make it.
"Reigny asked me to make that, no idea why, he hasn't done anything with it," Sirius replied, "Back here is what I've been working on."
He motioned for Harry to follow him to the back of the room to a long table and the first thing Harry noticed laying on it was a dagger, it had a gold handle and sliver blade with Loki's name carved down the blade.
"Did you make this?" Harry asked, picking it up.
"I did, but it's mostly a decoy gift," Sirius replied, "I give that to Reigny and he thinks that's the big secret I've been keeping when I am actually planning to surprise him with something else."
Harry looked and saw pieces of what would be a sword lying there, and going by how the pieces looked, and the picture taped above Sirius's work area, he was making a replica of the Sword of Gryffindor.
"You're making Loki a copy of Gryffindor's sword?" Harry asked.
"No, this sword isn't Reigny's gift, you see the Sword of Gryffindor once belonged to him and he wants it back, I plan to get it for him, and I'm hoping I can make a good enough replica to switch the swords the first chance I get, and no one will notice the difference," Sirius explained, "Here you can help, put these gems in the handle, that should be easy."
Harry picked up the handle, and one of the rubies lying there and held it up.
"Is this real?" Harry asked.
"Yep, took them from the Black Family vault," Sirius answered, "I had an ancestor that was obsessed with gems stones, there are piles of them in the family vault, all shapes, and sizes. Don't worry I've already checked them, no hexes or jinx on them."
"Was that likely?" Harry asked.
"With my family, yes," Sirius answered, "Don't look so surprised, Kiddo, my family was as dark as they come, I'll tell you about them sometime, but not today, as Reigny said the weather is making it gloomy enough."
"How did you learn to make things?" Harry asked.
"I was taught by a muggle guy who lived near my house when I was around your age, I got into a lot of muggle hobbies and even had a few muggle jobs just to annoy my dear ole mum, who hated me working with my hands like a muggle," Sirius explained.
"You're pretty good at it," Harry said.
"Thank you, but to be honest I only started doing it again out of boredom," Sirius said, "I bought my tools and equipment and Reigny built this building for me, using magic of course."
"Using magic?" Harry asked.
"Yep, he has some extortionary abilities, Harry," Sirius said. "Reigny claims to be the most powerful magic user from Asgard and given what I've seen him do, I don't doubt that one bit."
Harry didn't know what to say to that, so instead, he asked Sirius how he was going to get the rubies to stay in the sword handle, and he showed him a permanent sticking charm to use and assured him the Ministery won't know he was the one doing the magic because he was the only underage wizard here, plus the Ministry had no idea Loki's cottage was here, because they gave them Sirius's childhood home address for where they were living, a lie Harry couldn't blame them for telling, after everything they put Sirius through it was understandable they wouldn't trust the Ministry.
They couldn't talk as they worked, the machine Sirius was using to sharpen the sword blade was loud, so they worked in comfortable silence and got so into their work hours passed without them knowing, and only stopped when they both started feeling hungry. Sirius looked up at the clock on the wall to see it was passed lunch, so he decided to stop for the day, and go in and make an early dinner. Even though Loki claimed they took turns cooking, Sirius always seemed to be the one to do it most of the time, and Harry was happy he was never asked to cook.
Unfortunately, Harry's birthday fell on a Wednesday, and he couldn't celebrate with Sirius and Loki until that weekend, and the Saturday after his birthday, Harry got a surprise when he woke up to Sirius bursting into his room shouting Happy Birthday, then he proceeded to drag Harry out of bed and led him into the kitchen where Loki stood by the kitchen table, it was loaded down with food, Sirius had cooked Harry a large breakfast, food wasn't the only thing either, there was a small pile of gifts laying on the end of the table, waiting for Harry to open after he ate. Harry enjoyed his breakfast, then opened the gifts after that Sirius pulled out a large gift from under the kitchen table which turned out to be a Quidditch set, along with tickets to the Quidditch World Cup. Sirius then told Harry he bought himself a broomstick if Harry wanted to play, Harry's answer was him jumping up and running to get dressed and grab his Fireblot. They couldn't have a real Quidditch match with just two people, so they just tried to get past each other making scores, and then let the Snitch loose to see who could catch it first, out of the five times they did that, Harry caught it three of the times, Sirius did twice.
"I once broke my leg in two places during a game. A Slytherin had knocked me off my broom by throwing the beater bat at me." Sirius said. "That bloody hurt too, good thing Madam Promfry is such a good nurse, I was up walking around again the next day."
"In my second year a house elf named Dobby cursed the Bludgers to come after me, I ended up with a broken arm," Harry said, he and Sirius had stopped playing with the Quiidtich set and was now sitting on the ground, telling Quidditch stories. "But I still caught the Snitch and won the game."
"Dobby?" Sirius asked, "Isn't that The Malfoy's House Elf?"
"It was," Harry said, smirking, "I tricked Lucius Malfoy into freeing him."
"Really?" Sirius asked, "How?"
"I put a sock in Riddle's old diary and handed it to Malfoy, who handed it to Dobby," Harry explained, and Sirius started laughing.
"Merlin, Harry, you inherited Reigny's trickery," Sirius said, "I would have never thought of doing something like that, but Reigny definitely would." His smile fell. "Hang on, he didn't hurt you did he?"
"He tried, but when he pulled his wand out, Dobby hit him with Magic and sent him falling down some stairs," Harry answered, which had Sirius laughing again.
"I wish I was there to see that," Sirius said. After a moment Harry and Sirius decided to race each other on their brooms.
Loki called them in when Remus Lupin arrived and Sirius cooked dinner, while he talked with Remus after they ate they had birthday cake, then after about another hour Remus left and went home. Sirius asked Harry if there was anything he would like to go out and do, and not knowing what to say, Harry picked to go see a movie, and Loki and Sirius agreed to it, the former of the two, telling him to go change his clothes.
Harry went into his room put on a pair of jeans and a long sleeve dark blue shirt, brushed his hair the best he could, stuck his wand in his back pocket, and then walked back out of the room, to see Loki had shifted into her female form and had put on one of her jumpsuits, Sirius had changed also, now in black jeans, and a black shirt. They all headed out the door, and into Sirius's car, once his name was cleared Sirius had gotten a muggles driver's license,( something he had before going to Azkaban) and bought a car, for a way to get around in the muggle world.
"Driving this car makes me miss my old motorcycle," Sirius said, "Wonder if Hagrid still has it or maybe I can just buy a new one?"
"You already spent a lot of money on this thing, do you need to spend more money on a motorcycle?" Loki demanded.
"Hey, this thing has come in handy," Sirius said, "Besides, I happen to remember a certain God of Mischief used to love riding on the back of my bike." He looked at Loki and grinned.
"Keep your eyes on the road, before you wreck," Loki demanded. "Our son is in the backseat."
"Aww, you're not concerned about my well-being." Sirius teased.
"No," Loki replied smiling a little.
"You know you love me," Sirius said.
"Possibly," Loki teased.
The theater they took Harry to wasn't very busy for it being a summer weekend, just a few people while they were standing in line waiting to buy popcorn and drinks. Harry felt like he was being watched, and when he looked to the left, he saw two blonde-haired girls one about his age, the other a little older they looked like sisters, they kept looking over at him, and giggling when one saw Harry looking, she squealed, and her face turned red; she turned to her sister, and they started giggling, turned back to Harry and waved. Harry gave a small wave back, (which made them giggle again) and turned away, feeling somewhat confused.
"They think you're cute," Sirius whispered to him, having watched the exchange, he looked amused by the whole thing.
Thankfully shortly after that, they were able to buy their snacks and Harry was able to get away from the strange giggling girls, which was starting to embarrass him, especially since Sirius found it amusing.
"Harry may have inherited your trickery, Reigny, but he inherited my charm," Sirius said as they sat down, Harry on the end, Sirius next to him, and Loki on his other side, with Sirius being made to hold the popcorn.
"You mean those giggling brats? Very annoying." Loki replied, reaching over for some popcorn.
"A lot of the girls I went to Hogwarts with were like that," Sirius said, "Always giggling and pointing at me, Prongs and Moony, Prongs and I enjoyed the attention, but it annoyed Moony."
"That's because he has some intelligence," Loki replied, "I'm not surprised you enjoyed it, I'm probably the only lover you ever had that had a brain that could form an intelligent thought."
"Someone is jealous." Sirius teased, and Loki glared at him.
"I am not," Loki mumbled, though Harry would have to silently agree with Sirius on that.
They fell silent as the movie started playing, and they begin to watch it, it was a comedy so, everyone in the room was laughing except for Loki, who didn't find it funny, she just sat there with her arms crossed and watched the film with an expression that said, she thought everyone in the movie was stupid, but also seemed amused by it. The movie was near the end when Harry suddenly felt a sharp pain in his scar and felt as if he should be celebrating. He quickly told Sirius he needed to go to the toilet and rushed out of the room, he got halfway down the hall when he stopped and just leaned up against the wall, eyes closed tight, wishing the pain, and feeling to go away.
"Potter?" A voice said, Harry immediately opened his eyes, and standing in front of him was Piers Polkiss, one of Dudley's friends, he had grown some since Harry last seen him, but still very skinny, and still looked like a rat. He got over his surprise at seeing Harry and went running back up the hall shouting. "Dudley, quick, you won't believe who's here."
"Damn," Harry mumbled, as he got off the wall and was about to try to make it back to Loki and Sirius when Dudley and his other friends. Dennis, Gordon, and Malcolm came out of one of the theater rooms, and right toward him.
"Potter?" Malcolm demanded, looking at Harry a bit surprised, Harry did look different, he's grown some, and wearing his hair a lot differently, plus had decent-looking clothes that actually fit him.
"Well, I was hoping I'd see you again," Dudley said, walking toward him. "Get some payback for Marge."
"You don't give a damn about Marge," Harry said. "You only liked her visits because she gave you money."
"True," Dudley said. "But ever since Marge was released from the hospital she's been living with us, said she can't live on her own now, she lost one hand and her other one has nerve damage, and she's gained more weight and can hardly move around on her own. Living with her is hell, she's always wanting food or brandy, shouts and throws things, which gets dad yelling, Mum is miserable, and on top of that she's costing us money, dad can't get around like he used to because of his bad back, so he was demoted at work, he's not making as much as before, so mum and dad have been using their savings and that's nearly gone now, and he still has to pay someone to look after Marge's house, because she refused to sell the it, she brought all her dogs with her, and the whole place smells like dogs, and Mum can't get rid of it no matter how much she cleans. Mum and dad are constantly fighting. Ripper chews up everything. And I'm being made to help out to give Mum a break.
"Dudley, I'm sorry about Marge, but everything that happened after I was gone, isn't on me," Harry said. He had no idea why Dudley felt the need to tell him all this.
"You're about to be more than sorry," Dudley said, taking a step toward Harry, he took a step back.
"I don't want to fight you, Dudley," Harry said he wasn't afraid of Dudley or his friends, he just didn't think fighting in a public place was a good idea.
"I'm only here because Mum felt bad I haven't gotten to do anything with my friends for months," Dudley said.
"Congratulations, Dudley, you now know how I felt living with you guys," Harry said.
"Shut up." Dudley snapped, giving Harry a push.
"Back off," Harry shouted pushing Dudley back, which shocked him so much there was a moment of silence, it even shocked Harry a little but he didn't have to put up with Dudley and his friends bullying him anymore, he wasn't even Harry's cousin, something Ron pointed out, his way of trying to help Harry feel better after he found out about his parents was to tell him, that at least he wasn't related to the Dursleys, which did help a little.
"Get him," Dudley yelled, and Piers swung at Harry, he ducked then knocked Piers's feet out from under him, causing him to land hard on the floor. Dennis then came at him, and Harry grabbed his arm, turned sideways flipping him over his shoulder, and when Malcolm grabbed him from behind, he did exactly what Loki has been showing him to do, he dropped to one knee, grabbed him on the back of his neck and using what strength he could, Harry flipped him over his back, and Malcome hit the tile floor hard with a moan of pain. Dudley's gang made the mistake of thinking Harry was the same scrawny little kid, they could push around before, Harry hasn't been taught to fight for nothing, and his parents expected him to use these moves to protect himself.
Harry had his attention on the ones on the ground and had temporarily forgotten about Dudley until he suddenly felt a punch on his jaw, then Dudley started punching Harry all over, getting a few punches in, until Harry shoved Dudley away, then before he could do anything else, Harry pulled back his fist and punched Dudley so hard, it knocked him down.
"Damn," Harry cried, holding his hand which was now hurting.
"Harry" Sirius had appeared and was standing there looking surprised. "Reigny sent me to cheek on you." He looked around at the boys on the ground, who were all getting up. "What's going on?"
"They jumped me," Harry explained, holding his hand, Sirius frowned at his actions then at the bruise forming on Harry's face, then down at Dudley whose nose was bleeding, most likely because it was broken.
"Hang on, isn't that..." Sirius trailed off, looking at Dudley, who was glaring at them, as he got to his feet.
"Dudley Dursley," Harry replied, "And his little gang, they made my life hell growing up, and just tried to jump me again." Sirius looked from Harry, back at the boys, at Dudley's bleeding nose, then at Piers who was holding his head, Dennis who was now rubbing his back, and Maclome who had one hand on his back, and one hand rubbing the back of his neck, Sirius started laughing, and walked over to Harry and threw his arm around his shoulder.
"I'm proud of you, kiddo, you have been paying attention to those fighting lessons," Sirius said leading Harry back down the hall, as Dudley and his friends headed in the opposite direction. "Let's go tell Reigny; she'll be proud of you too."
"Really?" Harry asked.
"Of course, you're always making us proud, kiddo," Sirius said, Harry grinned, hearing those words from an adult who was an active parental figure towards Harry, was something he never thought he'd hear, not to mention coming from his own father, it somehow made Harry feel safe, loved and like he finally had a home where he belonged.
AN: That will probably be the last time a Dursley is shown, but I thought Harry deserved a little payback for how Dudley and his friends treated him, and I threw in the other to show the Dursley life not being all that happy since Harry left, and I thought it made a little sense for Harry to want to see Sirius and Loki, but yet not trust them enough to live with them full time, I have started on the next two characters already, so it shouldn't be long until the next one is uploaded. Hope you enjoyed the chapter.
