AN: There aren't any warnings for this chapter, except might be a little boring, but the next chapter has action in it, I had mentioned I didn't want to just put Loki into the HP stories, and it kind of ended up doing that, so I'm going to change some things for the fourth year. Hope you enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 18: Quidditch World Cup

"Harry, sweetheart, time to get up," Loki said, shaking Harry gently. He opened his eyes and looked up at her, "Your Father has cooked breakfast if you want to eat before we go."

"Okay, I'll be out in a minute," Harry replied, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"Try not to be long," Loki said before leaving the bedroom and closing the door behind her; as she headed into the kitchen. Sirius was standing at the table putting eggs on their plates.

"Did you wake him?" Sirius asked, walking over to set the skillet in the sink. He was wearing black jeans with his new wand in his back pocket and a grey t-shirt. When Sirius had been officially declared innocent after a few visits to the Ministry, Sirius went on a shopping spree and bought both muggle clothes and wizard robes. However, he only wore his robes when he had to go to the Ministry, which seemed like a constant thing all summer.

"Yeah, he said he'll be out in a minute," Loki said, sitting down. She picked up her fork and knife and started eating.

"If he doesn't come out in ten minutes, I'll go see what's taken him," Sirius said, now making Loki tea. "You may have sent him to bed early, but he didn't go to sleep, I woke up having to pee around two, and when I walked by his room, I noticed his light was on."

"You should have gone in there and told him to go to sleep," Loki said.

"I would have, but the emotions I felt from his room scared me a bit. Poor kid must have had another one of those nightmares he won't tell us about," Sirius said, handing Loki her tea.

"I wish you would have talked to him," Loki said, taking a sip of the tea, then sat it down.

"I wanted to, but going in there, and trying to force him to talk about what he's not ready to, isn't going to go over well," Sirius said, "What if he gets angry and stops coming for visits or decides not to live with us?"

"We need to overcome our fear of that happening and talk to him," Loki said, "Harry's well-being is more important."

"I know...I know; I wanted to go in there but didn't have the guts," Sirius said, now pouring a glass of pumpkin juice for Harry. "I should have woken you."

"Yes, you should have," Loki replied.

Sirius set the pumpkin juice on the table next to Harry's plate just as Harry's bedroom door opened, and he came walking into the room, wearing jeans and a t-shirt, almost looking like a mini-version of Sirius.

"Morning, kiddo." Sirius greeted him, "Looking forward to the Quidditch match?"

"I am; how are we getting there?" Harry asked, sitting in the chair across from Loki.

"Teleport," Loki said, "The Ministry set up a place for people to apparate there, but me teleporting us will be easier than Sirius trying to apparate us all there."

"What's the difference?" Harry asked.

"Well, when a wizard or witch apparates, they channel all of their magic to transfer themselves from one place to another, " Loki explained, "but when I teleport, I'm opening a small portal around myself or anyone I take with me; we travel through it, but it's quick, you don't even realize it."

"Except for a split second, you almost feel like you're falling down a tunnel." Sirius said, "At least that's how it feels to me." He stood and took his plate to the sink.

"So, you can't apparate?" Harry asked Loki.

"I do not need to," Loki replied.

"It makes her sick," Sirius said, returning to the table. "I've taken her with me once, and she got sick all over the place." He picked up their now-empty plates and took them to the sink to wash. "Harry, you might want to go grab your bag. It's almost time to go."

"Okay," Harry said, standing and heading into his room.

"Did you have to tell him that apparitions make me sick?" Loki asked.

"It'll do Harry good to know we have faults too; help him know he doesn't have to live up to some unrealistic expectation," Sirius said, then he turned around and gave Loki a sarcastic grin, "Don't worry, babe, you're still perfect to me."

Loki glared at him but didn't comment because Harry had returned to the room carrying his bag.

"I was wondering something," Harry said.

"What's that, sweetheart?" Loki asked.

"Will I be able to teleport?" Harry wondered.

"That's a good question," Loki replied, "Perhaps, you should have some of my magic, but it would depend on how much teleportation takes a lot. You see, your wizard magic, what you've been using all these years, you inherited from Sirius, and though it did at one time come from my type of magic, it's a bit different now, but also why Sirius can do wandless magic."

"How would I know if I got magic from you?" Harry asked.

"We would have to test it somehow," Loki replied, "I believe you at least inherited some. That's how your body could shift back into that form when your Jotunn gene activated. If you inherited the ability to do that, you should have inherited my magic too."

"Alright, enough magic talk for now. We should be going." Sirius said, "We arrive past the arrival time, then the Ministry will get all huffy, say something I won't like, then I'll curse the lot of them, and chaos will erupt, and I will be the last one standing."

"You're so weird," Harry said, laughing a little.

"He's a fool," Loki said, then turned to Sirius. "You know if a fight broke out between you and the whole Ministry of Magic, you wouldn't stand a chance. You would be greatly outnumbered."

"Yeah, but I'll have something they won't," Sirius said.

"And what would that be?" Loki asked.

"You," Sirius replied with a wink.

"You're still a fool," Loki replied, but she was now wearing a smug look. "Didn't you say we should be leaving?"

"That's what I said, yes," Sirius said. "You're the one still sitting there."

"Hush," Loki said, standing and walking over to their bags. She looked down at her clothes with a frown.

"You look fine," Sirius said, walking over to her. "No magically changing; muggles don't camp in those fancy jumpsuits you wear."

The Ministry ordered everyone to dress like a muggle since the Quidditch game was taking place at a muggle campsite, and unfortunately, the type of muggle clothes Loki wore wasn't fit for camping. Now she was stuck in black jean shorts (with her wand in her front pocket ), a green shirt, and hiking boots, she did, however, put on her green fedora hat with the small gold horns sticking out of the front brim. Loki usually only wore the hate when in male form but wanted something that felt like her to wear.

"But they are so...simple," Loki said.

"You look cute," Sirius said, "You ready?"

Loki nodded and waved her hand, and their bags disappeared, then took hold of both Sirius and Harry's hands, and teleported them to the woods just outside of the campsite.

"Sirius, you were right," Harry said, letting go of Loki's hand. "It did feel like falling down a tunnel for a second. What does apparition feel like?"

"Like being sucked in a tub," Loki replied. "Believe me, if you can learn to teleport, I'd stick to that. Much more pleasant."

"Which way to the campsite?" Sirius asked; looking around, he spotted a sign with an arrow pointing forward. "Guess it's that way."

They all started walking forward as Loki and Harry's conversation continued.

"When can we see if I inherited your magic?" Harry asked.

"I'm not sure yet. I'll have to figure out a way to test it," Loki replied, "Maybe when you get better at wandless magic, I'll be able to teach you."

"Think I can become an animagus?" Harry asked, "When Professor McGonagall taught us about them last year, she said not everyone can do it, and it's complicated."

"Minerva is right. It is very complicated," Sirius answered, "But your mum is a shapeshifter. I'm an animagus, so you should be able to."

Harry went over to walk next to Sirius, and started asking Sirius questions, who was more than happy to explain to Harry all about becoming an animagus. Now that he's gotten used to being around Loki and Sirius, Harry allowed his curious nature to emerge.

"A storm?" Harry asked, "You must drink the potion during a storm?"

"You do," Sirius replied, "Becoming animagus requires a lot of weird things, like keeping a Mandrake leaf in your mouth for a full month."

"A month?" Harry demanded,

"Full Moon to Full Moon, and if you accidentally swallow it or spit it out, you have to start all over," Sirius said.

"But how do you eat or drink?" Harry asked.

"Very carefully," Sirius answered.

Loki put her arm through Sirius's as they continued walking. When they finally reached their campsite, the Weasleys were already there, and Arthur greeted them cheerfully, Loki looked around and saw no one looking their way, then made their bags appear.

"I was just sending Ron and Hermione to get some water." Arthur said, "They can get you some, too, if you have something to put it in."

"No, thanks, we brought some," Sirius said, pulling a gallon of water out of one of the bags.

"Harry, come with us," Ron said. Harry turned to Sirius and Loki.

"Can I?" Harry asked.

"Of course, go have fun with your friends," Sirius said. Harry looked toward Loki. She took her hat off and sat it on Harry's head.

"It's fine with me, too," Loki said. Harry grinned and headed off with Ron and Hermione, then Loki and Sirius started taking out their tent.

Arthur talked with Sirius as he and Loki put up the tent. After they put their and Harry's bag inside, where Loki conjured two small mattresses, one for her and Sirius, and one for Harry to sleep on because there was no way Loki was sleeping on the ground, the tent was a good size, so it didn't even make it crowded. Then after that, Loki conjured a few blankets, and pillows for their beds, and then they went back outside and over to sit with the Weasleys. Loki laid a blanket on the ground to set on and sat close to Sirius, with her knees lay on his leg. She sat there and listened to Sirius and Arthur's conversation.

After a while, Harry, Ron, and Hermione returned, and Arthur decided to make lunch. Sirius showed him how to use the matches, then sat back down as he started cooking. That was when Percy Weasley, along with the two eldest Weasley sons, appeared. Loki remembered Harry mentioned they were visiting, and Sirius had already met them when he picked Harry up yesterday. Still, since Loki has been avoiding going to the Burrow for Molly Weasley's safety, she had yet to meet them, and Sirius was annoyed when Bill Weasley introduced himself to Loki by kissing her hand, and flirting with her.

Fortunately, Ludo Bagman appeared before Sirius could decide whether or not cursing Bill Weasley was worth the risk of making the Weasleys mad. It didn't take long for Bagman to turn into Sirius's new annoyance, from giving Harry a double look after hearing his name, to spotting Sirius and going on and on about how he knew all along that Sirius was innocent. Then after being unsuccessful in getting someone to bet on the game with him, he sat down on the ground and joined them.

"You haven't seen Barty Crouch have you?" Bagman asked. "I've been keeping an eye out for him. My Bulgarian opposite keeps complaing about something, and I can't understand a word he's saying. Barty'll be able to sort it out. He speaks about a hundred and fifty languages. Oh - talk of the devil! Barty!"

Barty Crouch had apparated at their fireside, causing anger to flow through Loki as she did all in her power not to strike the man dead, and Sirius's grip on her knee tightened. Loki didn't know if he was trying to keep her from moving or himself from jumping up and attacking Crouch. By the look Sirius gave him, Loki would guess the latter; even Harry seemed worried about what Sirius might do because he walked over and sat on Sirius's other side.

"Pull up a bit of grass, Barty," Ludo said, patting the ground beside him, and Harry gave him a dirty look.

"No, thank you, Ludo," Crouch said, "I've been looking for you everywhere. The Bulgarians insist we add another twelve seats to the Top Box."

"Oh, is that what they're after?" Bagman asked. "I couldn't understand what he was saying. Bit of a strong accent."

"Oh, and I've been wanting a word with you too, Arthur," said Mr. Crouch, his sharp eyes falling upon Mr. Weasley. "Ali Bashir's on the warpath. He wants a word with you about your embargo on flying carpets."

Arthur heaved a deep sign. "I sent him an owl about that just last week. If I've told him once, I've told him a hundred times: Carpets are defined as a Muggle Artifact by the Registry of Proscribed Charmable Objects, but will he listen?"

"He's desperate to export here," Crouch said, his eyes landing on Sirius, and surprise flashed across his face as Sirius glared at him.

"Well, they'll never replace brooms in Britain, will they?" Bagman said. Crouch turned from Sirius to look at Bagman. Not a word was spoken to him as if Sirius didn't matter, Loki opened her mouth, anger flashing across her face, but Sirius squeezed her knee tighter, and she looked at him. Sirius slightly nodded to Harry, who was looking worried, and Loki signed and said nothing.

"So, been keeping busy, Barty?" Bagman asked, seemingly unaware of Loki and Sirius's growing anger.

"Fairly," Crouch said dryly. "Organizing Portkeys across five continents is no mean feat, Ludo."

"I expect you'll both be glad when this is over?" Arthur put in, and he, too, kept giving Sirius worried looks.

"Glad. I Don't know when I've had more fun. Still, it's not as though we haven't got anything to look forward to, eh, Barty? Eh? Plenty left to organize, eh?" Bagman said, laughing.

"We agreed not to announce all the details...

"Oh, details!" Bagman said. "They've signed, haven't they? They've agreed, haven't they? The kids will know soon enough, and it's happening-."

"Ludo, you know the Bulgarians have yet to agree." Crouch said, "we haven't been able to get a hold of Durmstrang's new headmaster."

"Durmstrang found a new headmaster?" Arthur asked.

"Yeah, a Cynthia something, I don't remember the last name," Bagman said. "Never heard of her before."

"Come along, Ludo; we have things to do before the match," Crouch said.

"Oh, alright." Bagman stood, and the two apparated away, and Loki felt relief when Crouch left. It had been getting more challenging for her not to kill him. That bastard was behind sentencing Sirius without a trail.

A sense of excitement rose over the campsite as the afternoon wore down and the sun started to set; merchandise stands began popping up everywhere; Loki and Sirius tagged along with Harry and his friends to look around, the kids buying buttons, hats, and flags, at the last stand, they visited, Sirius bought them all Omnioculars. After about an hour they met back up with the Weasleys to head to their seats, and they followed behind them to the top box. The Weasleys almost took up the whole front roll.

"You are blocking the way?" A voice said behind them. They turned around to see all three Malfoys standing there. Lucius was the one who had spoke.

"You can walk around us, Lu Lu," Sirius said, "Or better yet, I can toss you off the top box and do the whole world a favor."

Lucius narrowed his eyes, hand going into his robes where his wand was, and Sirius reached behind him to pull his wand out of his pocket, but Loki grabbed his to stop him.

"We are here to watch Quidditch, not fight," Loki said. Lucius said nothing just glared, he hated that damn nickname, Sirius and his friends insisted on calling him in school, thankfully he only had to endure three years at Hogwarts with them.

"Yes," Narcissa spoke up, touching Lucius's arm. "There is no need to fight. We are family after all, right cousin?" she reached her other hand out and laid it on Sirius's arm, he frowned down at it with an eyebrow raised, and Loki fought the urge to rip it off her arm but settled with knocking her hand off Sirius's arm.

"Cousin?" Harry asked, looking at Sirius, which caused the three Malfoy to look at him.

"Potter, what the hell is that on your head?" Draco Malfoy demanded.

"It's called a hat, Malfoy," Harry said. "Something you might want to wear with that haircut."

"If you ask me, Potter, you could use a haircut," Lucius said.

"You know, Mr. Malfoy, you might be right," Harry said, taking Loki's hat off and running his hand through his curls, "Just tell me who did Malfoy's hair so I can avoid going there. "

Sirius laughed, but Loki's eyes were on Narcissa, who looked Harry's face over, her blue eyes taken in every one of Harry's features; then, surprise flickered on her face before she turned to Sirius with a knowing smirk. At that moment Fudge showed up with two other gentlemen, and he started talking to Luicus, introducing him to the guys with him.

"Let's set, shall we?" Loki said, wanting to escape before Fudge started talking to them, but as they went to walk up the stairs to the second roll of seats, Narcissa reached out and grabbed Sirius's arm again, stopping, Harry went on.

"You know, cousin," Narcissa said in a low voice. "I find it curious that Harry is a Potter, yet he has the unique aristocratic features only found in our family."

"Your family, Narcissa, remember I was disowned," Sirius said as he took her hand off his arm. "And you shouldn't go around telling tales. You might not like what that gets you."

Narcissa gave a little laugh. "I know that wasn't a threat."

"It was, and I'm not the only one you have to fear, cousin," Sirius said. As he walked up the steps, Narcissa's eyes went to Loki, who gave her a smile and wave before following Sirius up the steps to the second roll. By then, Hermione and Ron had moved to sit next to Harry.

"Harry," Ron said, "If Malfoy's mum is Sirius's cousin, then she's like your...umm."

"First cousin once removed," Hermione said. Harry frowned. He was related to Malfoy?

"That would make Malfoy my..." Harry frowned.

"Second cousin," Hermione answered, and Harry groaned.

"Sirius," Harry said, "There isn't a chance you were adopted, is there?"

"I wish," Sirius replied with a chuckle. "Just don't claim them; I never have."

"Good lord, Arthur," Lucius's voice traveled up to them. "What did you have to sell to get seats in the Top Box? Surely your house wouldn't have fetched this much?" Arthur's ears turned red, and Sirius scowled.

"Why don't you take a seat already, Lu Lu?" Sirius said, which caused the Weasley kids upfront to laugh, "Instead of standing around making an ass out of yourself."

At that moment, Ludo Bagman appeared, and the ones still standing around took their seats so the game could begin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the final of the four hundred and twenty-second Quidditch World Cup!" Bagman said, and the crowd screamed and clapped. "And now, without further ado, allow me to introduce the Bulgarian National Team Mascots!" The right-hand side of the stands, a solid block of scarlet, roared its approval.

"Ugh, Veela!" Loki scowled.

"What are Veela?" Harry asked, but before Loki could explain, about a hundred Veela were now gliding out onto the field and started dancing, and Harry say that they were beautiful women with long silvery blonde hair. Sirius covered his ears, and with a flick of her wrist, green magic swirled around Harry and Ron's ears, blocking out the Veela's singing, but they could still hear everything else. She turned to Sirius and did the same.

"Thanks," Sirius said, dropping his hands as all around them, the guys who hadn't covered their ears were doing or trying to do things to impress the Veela, who wouldn't even be able to see them way up here.

"Percy, stop," Arthur said. Loki looked their way in time to see Arthur pulling Percy back into his seat, where he had been trying to dive out of the top box; then finally, the music stopped, and Percy sat back down with a red face. Fred and George, who had been trying to dance to get the Veela's attention paused, looking confused, then quickly sat back down.

"And now," Ludo Bagman's said, "kindly put your wands in the air for the Irish National Team Mascots!"

The Irish Mascots were Leprechauns, who did tricks in the air and tossed gold down at the crowd. They ended their show by forming a giant shamrock in the sky before drifting down onto the field the opposite from the Veela and settled themselves cross-legged to watch the match as Bagman started inducing the Bulgarian Team. Ron was excitedly talking about their Seeker, Victor Krum. Then Bagman announced the Irish Team, and then the referee, Hassan Mostafa.

Loki put the Omnioculars to her eyes and started watching the game. It was exciting, with both teams trying to score goals and both Seekers flying around them searching for the snitch. The Irish seemed to have better players and quickly gained the lead. An hour into the game, Bulgaria called a time-out.

"Fingers in your ears!" Mr. Weasley yelled as the Veela got up and started to dance. Loki didn't have to worry. Sirius, Harry, and Ron still had her magic circling their ears, the Veela sat back down, and the game continued. Thirty minutes in, and Kurm suddenly headed towards the ground, Lynch the Irish seeker was right behind him. Frowning, Harry lowered his Omnioculars.

"What's he doing?" Harry demanded. "The snitch isn't down there, and it's over there." Harry pointed in a direction opposite to where Krum was flying. Loki looked through her Omnioculars and saw there was a tiny gold speck barely visible from where they were sitting.

"You sure you need those glasses, kiddo?" Sirius asked.

"He's going to crash!" Hermione screamed, and they turned from the snitch back to Krum in time to see Krum stop right before he hit the ground, turn his broom upward, and head back up, but Lynch couldn't stop in time and crashed onto the bed.

"It's time-out!" Bagman yelled, "as trained media wizards hurry onto the field to examine Aidan Lynch!"

"That was a wicked move," Harry said.

"Oh, no," Loki said, "I swear to Frigga, Harry, if you even think of ever trying that move, you'll be banned from Quidditch for life."

Harry looked at Loki, surprised for a moment, then he gave her a smile that was a little too much like the sarcastic one Sirius had given her that morning.

"Yes, Ma'am." He replied sarcastically, then turned back to the match, grinning.

"He gets it from you," Sirius told her. Loki gave him a dirty look before she, too, turned back to the match, which was getting a little crazy, as the Irish were now angry over the trick Kurm played, and both teams were starting to get a little vicious towards each other.

The Leprechauns rose into the air again, and this time, they formed a giant hand, which was making a very rude juster at the Veela across the field. At this, the Veela lost control. Instead of dancing, they launched themselves across the area and began throwing what seemed to be handfuls of fire at the Leprechauns. Their faces were elongating into sharp, cruel-beaked bird heads, and long, scaly wings were bursting from their shoulders.

"And that, boys," Arthur yelled over the crowd below, "is why you should never go for looks alone!"

"Lynch has seen the Snitch!" Harry shouted. Half the crowd seemed to have realized what was happening; the Irish supporters rose in another great wave of green, screaming their Seeker on, but Krum was on his tail. The pair of Seekers hurtled toward the ground again, and for the second time, Lynch hit the ground hard and was immediately stampeded by a horde of angry Veela.

"Ugh, those things need to be gathered and dumped in an ocean somewhere," Loki said.

"The Snitch, where's the Snitch?" Charlie Weasley yelled.

"Kurm has it," Harry shouted as Krum raised his fist in the air, the tiny little ball of gold in his hands.

"IRELAND WINS!" Bagman shouted, who like the Irish, seemed to be taken aback by the sudden end of the match. "Krum gets the Snitch, but Ireland wins. Good lord, I don't think we were expecting that!"

"What did he catch the Snitch for?" Ron asked. "He ended it when Ireland was a hundred and sixty points ahead, the idiot!"

"He knew they were never going to catch up!" Harry said, "The Irish Chasers were too good. He wanted to end it on his terms."

"Yep, my brother Regulus used to do the same during Hogwarts games," Sirius said, "especially when Slytherin was losing against Gryffindor."

"You have a brother?" Harry asked.

"I did, he died years ago," Sirius answered. "We didn't get along, though. He fit right in with the rest of the family."

"Oh," Harry said, "I'm sorry."

"Don't be, kiddo. It was a long time ago," Sirius replied. Loki heard the sadness in his voice; she knew Sirius still felt guilt over their falling out and sometimes blamed himself for giving up on his little brother and not trying to do enough to help save him from his parents' brainwashing, which he felt led to his death.

One by one, the Bulgarians filed between the rows of seats in the top box, and Bagman called out the name of each as they shook hands with their own minister and then with Fudge.

And then came the Irish team. Two of their members Moran and Connolly were supporting Aidan Lynch; the second crash seemed to have dazed him, and his eyes looked strangely unfocused. But he grinned happily as Troy and Quigley lifted the Cup into the air, and the crowd below thundered its approval.

Loki smiled as she clapped along with the crowd; she looked behind her at Sirius; he looked at her gave her a smile and a wink. Loki smiled back, then glanced at Harry, who looked so happy as he cheered, he still had her hat on his head, and her smile widened. She had fulfilled her first goal; she had her family, now might be the time to start her next plan of becoming Minister of Magic.

AN: I have no idea what wizards do to apparate or Loki does to teleport, but I wanted to make them different from each other and that's what I thought of. The hat Loki was wearing and then gave to Harry, is actually one I've seen him wear in the comics, in the 2019 Loki comic series.

The couple of instructions Sirius told Harry for becoming Animagi I got from the Wizarding World website (used to be Pottermore I think) it has an article showing the steps wizards have to do to become an animagus and there are some weird and complicated things on the list.

For anyone curious, Sirius's new wand is 10 inches long made of dogwood with a dragon heartstring core, and Loki's wand is 11 and a half inches made of acacia wood with dragon heartstring. I looked up wand woods and cores and picked the ones I thought closely matched Sirius and Loki's personality there was a few woods that did, but it only listed three different cores, and I didn't want to give either Unicorn hair, it just doesn't sound all that powerful to me. I thought about making Loki's core a Phoenix feather, but dragons heartstring fit Loki better, plus I like Loki and Sirius having the same wand cores.
