Chapter 37: Meet The Avengers
Harry slammed down on a hard tile floor; his injured leg gave out, making him fall to his side with a groan; he dropped the blue glowing cube and Harry watched it slide across the floor, stopping an arm's length away. He turned from it and looked around. He was in what looked like a large muggle office building, possibly the lobby. Lining the walls were floor-to-ceiling windows, a few seats, a counter sat across from a set of double glass doors, and a muggle woman sat behind the counter staring at him in shock. Harry turned from her and looked out the doors, it was still daylight, which means Harry was no longer in his country.
Harry looked at his injured leg. The bullet was stopping the blood from linking out of the hole in his boot, but he could feel it running down his leg and soaking the leg of his trousers. Harry touched the bullet with his finger and wrenched at the pain it caused, he decided it was probably best to leave it alone for now, and raised his uninjured leg and laid his forehead on his knee, while tightly gripping the dagger that was still in his hand. Harry just sat there, trying to forget everything that just happened. He didn't care he wasn't at Hogwarts or even in any wizard community or that the muggle woman sitting behind the desk had picked up a phone and was now frantically calling someone, most likely the security, Harry couldn't bring himself to care, not after what happened. He witnesses Cedric murdered, got shot, Voldemort returned, and Loki killed or badly injured half a dozen Death Eaters. Now he and Sirius were possibly fighting Voldemort's sister and two other Death Eaters.
Harry raised his head and ran his hand through his hair, he hoped Loki and Sirius will show up soon to get him, when he felt a shadow standing over him and looked up to see Tony Stark, in his Iron Man suit looking down at him with his palm out and the circle in the middle was lit up, and buzzing telling Harry it was ready to fire at any sudden moves.
"Alright, Loki, I don't know what you were planning or why you decided to appear in the form of a teenager, but drop the act-" Tony said.
"I'm not-
"I know it's you. No sudden moves. Get up slowly." Tony said. He bent down and picked up the cube; great, he thought Harry was his mother. In any other circumstances, he'd find it funny, considering everyone always went on about how much Harry looks like Sirius.
"I'm not Loki." Harry tried to explain, but Tony Stark wasn't listening.
"Can it, Gandalf." Tony demanded, "You aren't going to fool me; now stand up slowly."
Harry glared at him, then sighed. He didn't have any other options than to do what Tony Stark said; he'll go along with it until Loki and Sirius showed up for him. Harry wasn't sure if this was where Loki had meant him to go, so it might take longer for them to find Harry; he had no doubt they would, though, they somehow found him in the cemetery, they'll find him here.
"Alright, give me a minute," Harry said, then slowly tried to stand without putting too much on his injured leg, but his leg wasn't too happy about it, and he stumbled, not having anything to grab and hold himself up, Harry fell back down with a groan.
"Fuck!" Harry cursed, smacking the floor, before trying again to stand and putting his weight on his none injured leg.
"What happened to you?" Tony taunted, "Lost another battle and tried to use the tesseract to get away, and accidentally ended up here, then decided to quickly disguise yourself, hoping we wouldn't notice it was you?"
"Oh, yeah, that's exactly what happened," Harry said sarcastically. Sirius was right Tony Stark is an annoying git.
"Come on, let's go, I don't have all day," Tony replied, "Go down the hall to the elevator. You should know the way."
"Git," Harry mumbled but turned and limped down the hall of what he now realized was Avengers Towers, he still didn't know if Loki meant for him to come here, but Harry couldn't fault him either way. Loki was trying to get Harry somewhere safe. Tony Stark, on the other hand, was getting on Harry's last nerves, taunting him, and laughing whenever he stumbled and almost fell; he would love to send a stinging hex at the man, but he doubted it would hurt him, wearing that ridiculous metal suit, that as far as Harry could tell wasn't even made of iron. So, Harry ignored him the best he could, while leaning against the wall to help him walk, and holding his dagger in his other hand, with the blade pointed up, hiding it from Tony, because he would likely take it if he saw it.
"In the elevator, you go," Tony told him, giving Harry a little push, causing him to almost fall on his face, but he was able to grab hold of the bar on the wall and stop himself. Tony got on behind him, and hit a button making the elevator go up.
"I am not Loki." Harry tried again.
"If you're not Loki, how did you get the tesseract?" Tony demanded; Harry said nothing; he just glared at the elevator doors. "Can't think up an excuse, eh? You can come out of the disguise now, show me the real you; even though I know it's you, I still feel like a jerk treating a kid this way."
"Then you're going to feel like an evil git when you realize I am just a kid," Harry replied.
"Whatever you say, Kid Loki," Tony said, patting his back harder than necessary.
"Prat," Harry mumbled as the elevator doors opened, and Tony grabbed his arm and led Harry out, then down a hall and into another room. Harry looked around and noticed he was brought to a big room that had a counter that was half a circle the bottom part was full of buttons, and the top had computer monitors. In the back of the room, there was a large glass cell, and Harry paused when he realized that's where he was being led.
"Jarvis, get ahold of the team, let them know I caught Loki," Tony said, "This way, Reindeer Games. " Harry shook his head.
"No, you're not locking me up," Harry said, trying to pull his arm away.
"Yes, I am," Tony said, gripping Harry's arm tighter. "I'd say sorry, but I'm not."
"Let go of me." Harry cried out, he jerked his arm out of Tony's hold, causing Harry to stumble back, causing Tony to do the same, and accidentally dropped the cube.
"Alright, you asked for it." Tony cried, holding up his hand, and fired his laser, Harry quickly ducked, and the laser went flying passed his head and through the wall and blew up a desk in the next room. Tony aimed at Harry again, who had no choice but to hold out his hand and say.
"Stupefy."
Gold light came from Harry's hand, and the spell struck Tony on the chest; he flew back and slammed down hard on the floor. Harry quickly crawled to the wall and leaned against it. And looked down at his leg, ducking from the laser jerked his boot lose from the bullet still sticking in his leg, and that had hurt like hell, brought tears to Harry's eyes.
"Alright, Kid Loki, put the dagger down, and slowly stand," Tony said, slowly walking toward him with both hands out. Harry looked up with tears running down his face, holding his hand out in warning, as he gripped his dagger in his other one.
"Please, don't lock me up." Harry pleaded, Tony looked at Harry's panicked face, his shaking hand, to the cut on Harry's arm, and the bruise on his face. Tony lowered his hands.
"Shit, you aren't Loki, are you?" Tony asked. Harry shook his head, at that moment, the door flew open, and Steve Rogers carrying his shield hurried in, followed by who Harry guessed was Bucky Barnes the new Avenger Sirius had mentioned, he had shoulder-length brown hair and a metal arm, and he was also carrying a large gun, which made Harry shirk further against the wall while he brought his knees up to his chest, and listened to the three superhero's conversation.
"Did Loki get away?" Steve asked, "Whose the kid?"
"I thought the kid was Loki, but now I'm not so sure," Tony said; removing his helmet, he walked over and sat it down on the counter. "Damn it, I think I just almost killed a kid."
"What made you think he was Loki?" Steve asked. Tony pointed over to the Tessaract lying on the floor.
"He arrived with that," Tony said, "I thought he came here by accident after getting into a fight and shapeshifting into a kid to disguise himself, but now, I don't know."
"Clint is contacting Thor. He'll know," Bucky said.
"Maybe we should put him in the cell just in case?" Steve said.
"He fought me on that," Tony said, "Threw gold light from his palm and knocked me down. That's why I'm not sure if he is or isn't. On the one hand, he can do magic like Loki, but on the other, well, look at him. If that's Loki, he deserves a damn Oscar."
"Here." Bucky said, handing his gun to Steve. "I'll talk to him."
"Bucky, be careful," Steve said. Harry watched the guy slowly come toward him.
"Hey, kid, it's okay," Bucky said, squatting down in front of him, "We won't hurt you. We're The Avengers, I'm Bucky, and back there is Steve and Tony. Do you have a name?"
"No, my parents forgot to give me one," Harry mumbled. Bucky smiled at that.
"Okay, you don't have to tell me," Bucky said, "But, do you think you can do us a favor and get in the cell, just until we are positive you're not Loki?" Harry shook his head. "I know it can be scary, but it's not as bad as it looks. I was kept in there myself when I first got here."
He reached his hand out to Harry who looked down at it and was tempted to take it, he didn't know what it was, but there was something about Bucky Barnes that seemed trustworthy, but when Harry started reaching his hand out to take his, Bucky almost lost his balance, but quickly stopped himself with his metal arm, which drew Harry's attention to it, and the moment his eyes fell on the metal hand attached to said arm, flashes of Voldemort and Pirece started playing in Harry's mind.
"Kid?" Bucky asked, when Harry pulled his hand back and started shaking his head.
"No," Harry mumbled, not knowing which he was saying no to, Bucky or the flashes that were now going through his mind, at that moment Harry was reliving everything that happened to him in the cemetery.
"It's okay, you're safe here," Bucky said, he went to touch Harry's shoulder
"No..." Harry screamed pulling away and pointing his dagger toward Bucky, who raised his hands and backed away.
"Okay, I'll leave you alone, and go back over to my friends," Bucky said, backing up and going back over to stand by Steve and Tony. "Whoever that kid is, he is traumatized, that's no acting, something about my arm freaked him out, I don't think he was even here for a moment."
Harry watched Bucky take his gun back from Steve and leave the room, Harry took off his remaining glove and tossed it to the floor, he looked at his watch and bracelet, he had forgotten about it in the cemetery, but now he was tempted to try and contact Loki, let him know where his cube brought him, but he was afraid he'd interrupt Loki during a fight, and get him or even Sirius hurt.
"Hopefully Thor doesn't take long," Steve said, setting his shield down.
Tony walked over and picked up the Tesseract, went over to the counter, laid it on it, then the door opened again, and Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, and Bruce Banner walked in, Banner was carrying some weird object, that was long clear and round, and had two metal handles at the ends. He walked over to Tony with it.
"Where's Loki, I owe him a smack," Clint said, as Banner opened the object.
"About that, I thought he was him, but now I can't be sure if that's a traumatized kid or Loki being a damn good actor," Tony said, he put the tesseract into the container, and Banner closed it, then left the room with it, saying something about putting it in the vault.
"Damn, look at the bruise on his face," Clint said. "Whoever he is, he just lost a big fight."
"If he isn't Loki, he must know where Loki is." Tony said, "Might even be who attacked the kid. But he won't talk to us. He nearly stabbed Bucky when he tried."
"Nat, maybe you can talk to him," Steve said.
"I don't know what I can do." Natasha said, "But I'll give it a try, have my back, in case it is Loki."
"His leg is hurt too, he could barely walk when leading him up here." Tony said, "At least try to get him to let us look at it."
Harry narrowed his eyes as Natasha Romanoff walked over to him and kneeled in front of him, looking at him closely.
"Hello, there," Natasha said. "Can you tell me your name?"
"Please, just leave me alone," Harry said, "My parents will be here to get me soon, then I'll be out of your hair."
"Could you tell me where you got the tesseract?" Natasha said, "Did you get it from Loki? Would you tell us where he is?"
"I just want my mum and dad, I want to go home," Harry said, gripping then ungripping his dagger.
"You want to go home, okay, answer a few questions for us, and we'll call your parents to come get you." Natasha said.
"I don't want to answer any questions" Harry said, "I just want my mum and dad."
"Alright, kid, tell us where Loki is and we'll call them for you," Natasha said.
"You'll find out soon enough," Harry mumbled, the door opened and Banner was back, without the tesseract.
"Who have you been in a fight with?" Natasha asked.
"I didn't say anything about being in a fight," Harry replied.
"You don't have to say it," Clint said, "We can tell, sorry, but you look like shit, kid."
"Geeze, thanks, you're a very nice person," Harry replied, Clint smiled a little at his attitude, but then Natasha sent him a look that clearly said, be quiet, then turned back to Harry.
"Would you at least let us take a look at your leg?" Natasha said, "Tony said you can barely walk."
"Just go away, please." Harry said.
"Nat," Steve called her over, and Natasha stood up and went over.
"That isn't Loki," Natasha said, "I'm sure of it, but if he had the tesseract, he must have gotten it from Loki and knows where he is, but I doubt we'll get it out of him, Loki is probably the reason he is so terrified."
"Let him calm down, he might talk to us if we leave him alone, and let him realize we aren't going to hurt him." Bruce said.
"I would like to know what the hell Loki did to that poor kid," Clint said.
"Jarvis," Tony called, "Serach the news for any attacks or battles, anything that might tell us what happened to this kid."
"There is nothing in the local news or anything in the country that points to Loki or what may have happened to the child," Jarvis replied.
"Okay, search news all around the globe," Tony ordered. "And check all the missing child reports."
"Start with England," Steve said, then shrugged when Tony looked at him. "The kid has a British accent."
"There is nothing, sir," Jarvis said. "And he fits no missing child's reports."
"Okay, so it either hasn't made the news yet or happened off-world," Clint said, just as Bucky came back in the room, he no longer had his gun and was now wearing a long sleeve shirt and had a leather glove covering his metal hand.
"Off-world?" Steve asked, frowning as he noticed Bucky's change of clothes.
"Yeah, look at him, he's dressed similar to Thor and Loki, that dagger looks ancient from what I can see of it, and his hair is longish, you said he has magic," Clint said, "I think he might be Asgardian."
"But isn't the Bifrost broken?" Steve asked, "No one can get in or out of Asgard until it's fixed."
"Maybe Loki kidnapped him before arriving through the Tesseract," Clint said. "Or he was already down here, and Loki found him or from somewhere else, or I could be wrong."
"Hey, Oz, where are you from?" Tony asked Harry didn't answer.
"If he's from Asgard, Thor might know him," Bucky said, "If so, he might talk to him."
"We'll wait for Thor," Steve said. The Avengers broke apart, and sat down in chairs around the room, looking bored, Harry felt uncomfortable with so many people he didn't know in one room watching him, and decided he needed something comforting, and held his hand out and said.
"Expecto Patronum."
Harry's golden wolf burst out of his hand and began to pace back and forth in front of him, like a guard dog, the Avengers stared in shock.
"What the hell is that?" Bucky demanded.
"An illusion of some kind," Natasha guessed.
Harry watched his patronus its presence somewhat comforting and after about ten minutes there was a sudden crack of thunder, which made Harry jump.
"Thor's here." Clint announced unnecessarily, and a moment later the door opened and Thor came walking into the room, Harry barely noticed the small brown-haired woman who walked in with Thor, he was too busy staring at the god that is his uncle, the brother Loki refused to claim. Thor looked taller than he did in the paper or on television, at least from where Harry was sitting on the floor, and even though he wore muggle clothes, and not his armor, there was still an air of outer-worldly about him, a sense of power, and the hammer hanging from his belt, added to the intimidation, Harry didn't know rather to be frightened or hate Thor on Loki's behalf. He didn't even look Harry's way, as he glanced at the empty cell than turned to his teammates.
"Where is Loki?" Thor asked. Tony nodded to Harry, and Thor looked over at him and narrowed his eyes. "That is not Loki."
"Yeah, I realize that now, Thunderstruck, but I thought he was at first, he arrived here with the Tesseract, but now we think he escaped Loki instead of being Loki," Tony explained. The Brown-haired woman gasped.
"Did Loki hurt him?" She asked, looking toward Harry.
"No," Harry and Thor said simultaneously, Thor glanced at Harry in surprise then turned back to the woman. "Jane, Loki has done a lot of bad things, but one thing he has never done is harm a child."
"Whoever this kid is, he's been in one heck of a fight and lost," Tony said, "He's also enhanced, but not like the ones we've dealt with lately, but more like Loki, he tossed gold light at me out of his palms."
"His clothes are similar to yours, could he be Asgardian?" Clint asked.
"No, though he is wearing royal Asgardian armor," Thor said.
"Royal Asgardian armor?" Jane asked.
"Yes, that armor isn't topically worn during big battles, the material is very expensive, not many on Asgard use it, just my family or other nobles." Thor said, "Loki had armor like that when he was younger, his were green."
"Thor, if he had the tesseract, he knows where Loki is."Steve said.
"Or at least where he was when he left him," Tony said, "This kid can be the key to finding Loki."
"I'll talk to him," Thor said, he started toward Harry who held his dagger out toward him in warning, which only caused Thor to give him an amused look.
"Don't come closer," Harry warned, Thor paused and held up his hands, then slowly, pulled Mjolnir off his belt, and slowly leaned over and sat it on the floor, then straighten up.
"I will not harm you, young one." Thor promised, "You have my word, I even put my weapon down, may I ask the same of you?"
Harry looked at the hammer, then at Thor, and a thought came to him, Thor had just stuck up for Loki, maybe that meant he still cared for him. If Harry could get Thor to believe Loki was good now, maybe he'd be willing to help fight Voldemort, and maybe, just maybe, Harry could help bring the brothers back together, he knew no matter what Loki said, he still cared some what cared for Thor, and Loki has done so much for him lately, he wanted to repay him, what better way than to get him his big brother back? The one he was once so close to they invented a language together. Harry just had to get Thor to trust him first.
"Alright," Harry said, then he flipped his dagger, and held it out to Thor handle first, he smiled slightly at Harry's actions, took the offered dagger, and once in his hand, Thor instantly recognized it.
"Quite the weaponry for a child," Thor commented, setting the dagger on the floor next to Mjolnir.
"It was a birthday gift," Harry said, as his patronus now circled Thor, he looked down at it.
"You are good with illusions," Thor acknowledged.
"It's not an illusion..at least I don't think it is," Harry said, could patrouns be considered an illusion? He'd have to ask Loki. Harry looked at Thor and an idea formed in his head, Harry let his patronus dissolve and smirked as a duplicate Harry appeared behind Thor, the Avengers jumped to their feet, and Jane gasped.
"I can make duplicates aswell." It said, and Thor turned around really fast to see a second Harry standing behind him, he waved at Thor before disappearing in a shimmer of gold magic.
"Okay, he definitely knows Loki," Tony said. Thor turned back to Harry.
"May I ask your name?" Thor asked. Harry stared at Thor for a moment, between not having his glasses, and his hair in his eyes it was hard for Harry to read Thor's expression, but he was sure Thor had looked startled at his duplicate.
"Harry," Harry said. If anyone had been looking at Natasha they would have noticed she looked startled at Harry's name.
"Your age?" Thor asked.
"Fourteen," Harry answered. Thor nodded, a thoughtful look on his face, then he knelt in front of Harry, gently took hold of his chin, and turned Harry's face side to side, as if searching for something, his eyes staying on the bruise slightly longer than the rest of his face, then Thor reached out with his other hand and pushed Harry's hair out of his face, amusement flashed in his eyes at the lighting-shaped scar on his forehead, then when Thor's eyes dropped from Harry's scar and looked directly into Harry's eyes, they widen in surprise before he turned from Harry, and closed his eyes, a pained expression on his face.
"Brother, how many secrets do you hold?" Thor mumbled Harry knew right then that Thor somehow had figured out that Harry was Loki's son, apparently, Thor was smarter than Loki gave him credit for.
"He had a good reason." Harry said, and when Thor looked at him, his look softened, and his eyes fell on Harry's bracelet, at the white-blue color stone glowing in it. Thor reached out and touched it with his finger, then wrenched and pulled back, the tip now frostbitten.
"Where did you get that stone?" Thor asked.
"Loki, he made the bracelet for me," Harry said, "Because whenever I got frightened or upset, I would accidentally slip into my Jotunn form, I couldn't control it, the gems and spells Loki put on my bracelet prevent it."
"I can sense Loki's magic on the other too?" Thor said. Harry just nodded, not getting into what his watch did, and Thor gave him a long searching look. "Loki cares for you?"
"Enough that he just killed half a dozen men for kidnapping me," Harry said,
"Were you injured?" Thor asked.
"Shot in my leg," Harry admitted.
"Then I shall care for you too," Thor said, he sat in front of Harry facing sideways, reached out, gently took hold of Harry's injured leg, and sat it in his lap, then unbuckled the pad around his boot, removed it, then untied Harry's boot, and slowly, very carefully removed it, the others gasp at the sight of Harry's leg, and foot covered in blood, along with the large gold bullet stuck in it.
"Holly shit, kid, why didn't you mention that?" Tony demanded. "No wonder you could barely walk."
Harry ignored him, as Thor ripped open his trouser leg, so he could take a look at Harry's wound better.
"Loki isn't going to be happy, he just made this outfit for me, and now it's ruined," Harry commented.
"If he cares about you as much as you say, Loki won't care," Thor said.
"How the hell were you not screaming in pain?" Clint demanded.
"I've had worse," Harry said, though at first, he thought being shot was the worse he ever felt, but now that the shock of it wore off, he decided the basilisk venom running through his vines felt much worse.
"What's worse than getting shot?" Jane demanded, and Harry shrugged, he didn't feel like explaining, besides he didn't care much for the woman that arrived here with his uncle.
"Here, let me help." Bruce had walked over with a couple of towels, a wash cloth and medical supplies. "Hold his leg, and I'll get the bullet out." He looked at Harry. "This will probably hurt."
Bruce took some kind of tool and started pulling the bullet out of Harry's leg, and he bite his lip to keep from crying out, the moment the bullet was out, blood poured out of his leg, and then when Bruce got out the rubbing alcohol, and poured some in Harry's wound, he had to cover his mouth with his hand to muffle his scream.
"Damn, that hurts my leg just watching," Tony said, "Hey, Oz, if you want to scream, you can scream, I don't blame you."
Thor insisted on being the one to stitch the wound up, and Harry wrenched each time Thor stuck the needle into his leg.
"When Loki and I were younger," Thor said, "We tended to get injured a lot, Loki liked to experiment which often went wrong, whenever Loki got injured, he'd come to me to patch up his wounds. Me, I was a hot-headed fool who would often get in fights, and Loki was always there to patch me up, it was a deal between us because if we went to the healers, they would tell our mother, who would not be happy about us getting injured doing dumb things."
Harry smiled at Thor's story, he got done stitching up his wound, then took a washcloth and cleaned the blood off Harry's leg, then wrapped a bandage around it.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" Thor asked, and Harry held out his arm and showed him his cut. "That's an easy fix."
Thor wiped the blood off Harry's arm, then cleaned out the wound, and Thor begin to stitch up the wound, and while he did that he finished his story.
"As we grew older, and Loki got the hang of his magic, he would get injured a lot less, and when he did he patched himself up, but he was still willing to help me out, though he now complained and loved to remind me what an idiot I am," Thor said.
"Yeah, I've noticed that's something Loki likes to do, remind people of how unintelligent they are," Harry said.
"Will you tell me how you got the tesseract?" Thor asked, now wrapping Harry's arm in a bandage, Bruce gathered up the medical supplies and towels, and went to put them away.
"Loki gave it to me," Harry admitted.
"Wait, I thought he somehow took it from Loki, to get away," Clint said, Thor looked at him. "That makes more sense than him giving it to the kid unless Loki had some scheme up his sleeve."
"Loki wasn't scheming, he gave it to me because he wanted to get me somewhere safe, I didn't escape Loki, and he didn't hurt me, he'd never hurt me," Harry said. "Stop accusing Loki of something he didn't do."
Thor looked at Harry in surprise and the Avengers were shocked into silence then Tony whistled.
"Loki sure has you brainwashed," Tony said, "Loki cares about no one but himself."
"He does care about me," Harry argued. "And he cares about my dad."
"Kid, Loki cares about what you can do for him, you have magic, that's what he cares about," Clint said.
"That's not true," Harry said.
"If Loki didn't hurt you who did?" Jane asked.
"That's none of your business." Harry snapped.
"Harry, that is a good question," Thor said, "Would you tell me? I wish to know who harmed you."
"The one who cut my arm was Barty Crouch, and the one who shot me was Brock Rumlow." Harry said.
"Rumlow?" Tony demanded.
"Yeah, do you know him?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, escaped from the prison we put him in a while back," Natasha answered. "Will you tell us what exactly happened to you?"
"I was kidnapped from a tournament I was in at my school, I was taken to a cemetery where Rumlow, Crouch, and another guy attacked me, I tried to get away, but Rumlow shot my leg, then Crouch cut my arm, but Loki and my dad showed up to save me, then Loki gave me the glowing cube thingy and it brought me here," Harry explained.
"And you are sure Loki had nothing to do with it?" Steve asked.
"I swear Loki is innocent, the ones who hurt me was Barty Crouch Jr, who is now dead, and Brock Rumlow, they were doing it on Alexander Pierce's orders, who was following orders from Voldemort."
"Voldemort?" Steve asked, confused.
"Pierce too?" Clint demanded.
"Yes, Loki didn't do anything," Harry replied. "Loki hasn't done anything since New York, I swear, he's changed, he's good now."
"This doesn't make sense," Clint said. "Why would Pierce and Rumlow attack a teenager."
"And who the hell is Voldemort?" Bucky demanded.
"A very powerful dark wizard," Harry said.
"A what?" Jane demanded.
"Why the hell would Loki of all people save you," Tony demanded. It was Thor who answered.
"There is a community of witches in Britain my mother swore to protect," Thor said."Seventeen years ago Loki was sent to help this community, he spent nearly three years of Midgardain time here before returning to Asgard." Thor looked at Harry. "Evidently, Loki had a little too much fun while down here."
"Are you saying that Harry is Loki's son?" Clint demanded.
"Yes," Thor said, "Which makes Harry my nephew and now under my protection."
Harry stared at Thor in shock, Vernon Dursley never cared about him in the thirteen years Harry lived in his house nor has he ever said: "my nephew " with anything other than disdain. But here Thor was, already taking care of Harry, and being protective of him, and he hasn't known him an hour yet.
"Umm...Thor." Harry said, thinking now was a good time to ask Thor to help fight Voldemort, but the Avengers seemed stuck on questioning Harry about his parents.
"Who's your mother, kid?" Steve asked.
"That's a good question, what woman in their right mind would sleep with Loki?" Clint asked.
"Wait," Natasha said, "Harry keeps mentioning his dad, and Loki as if they are two separate people, so how can he be Loki's son? He even mentioned his mom and dad together in a sentence."
Thor looked at Harry with a thoughtful expression, then his eyes widened in realization.
"Loki is your mother?" Thor asked, Harry stared at Thor, who stared back at him, and very slightly Harry nodded his head.
"What?" Jane demanded. They ignored her.
"And your father, is a witch?" Thor asked.
"Wizard, a very talented one too," Harry said. Thor smiled at that.
"Of course, Loki would never be attracted to anyone that was not powerful in some way," Thor said, he wasn't mocking, no, there was fondness in his voice.
"Wait...wait...stop the conversation." Tony said, "Are we all just going to ignore that this kid, said Loki was his mother? As in he got knocked up by a man, carried a baby for nine months, then gave birth to him."
"I do not know why you are shocked, I told you my brother can turn female," Thor said.
"I thought you meant like an illusion or something, I didn't think you meant an actual woman, with all the female working parts," Tony said. Thor ignored him.
"May I ask your father's name?" Thor asked.
"Sirius Black," Harry answered, everyone fell quiet in surprise, all but Natasha who had a knowing look on her face.
"I'm sorry, but did you say Sirius Black?" Bruce demanded, Tony burst out laughing.
"Oh my God, I can't believe this," Tony said, "This is great."
"What's great?" Jane asked. "Who's Sirius Black?"
"One of the prisoners that escaped us a few months ago," Thor explained, "He was once a love of Natasha's."
"He was not, we had a one-night stand that's it." Natasha said.
"I don't know what's better, the fact that Rock of Ages stole Nat's man or the fact Sirius Black was able to get Mr. Kneel to me, to kneel to him... literally," Tony said.
"No one wants to have that image in their head," Clint said making a face.
"Stark," Thor said, "Do not say such things about my brother. That's his private business."
"People called me a playboy, " Tony laughed, "Sirius Black was able to sweet talk both the Black Widow and Reindeer Games into his bed, I think I found a new hero."
"That's enough," Steve said, "Tony, you've had your laugh, can we get back to what's important?"
"Yeah, like why Pierce and Rumlow kidnapped a fourteen-year-old kid," Clint said, "I doubt it was because they knew he was Loki's son."
"Nephew, do you know why they targeted you?" Thor asked.
"Alexander Pierce is a wizard, and so was Crouch, they and Rumlow kidnapped me so they could use my blood to bring Voldemort back to full power," Harry explained, "That's the reason they cut my arm."
"Will you explain to me who Voldemort is?" Bucky demanded.
"He's a wizard, from the community Thor mentioned." Harry explained, "And who Frigga had sent Loki down here years ago to help with, he is evil and powerful, his goal used to be to wipe out muggles, and have a world made of only wizards and witches, he was defeated fourteen years ago, but not dead, he just lost his powers, and now he's back, but his goal changed a bit, he doesn't want to wipe out muggles any more, he wants to rule both muggles and magic users."
"I'm sorry, but since when is there a community of witches in Britain?" Jane asked.
"For thousands of years," Thor answered, "ever since my mother came down here and taught Midgardains magic, that got passed down throughout the generations."
"They're not only in Britain," Harry said. "There are magic communities hidden throughout the world even here in America. Who do you think you keep having run-ins with, the ones you call enhanced? Those are witches and wizards."
"Thor, if you knew about this why didn't say something?" Steve asked.
"Because he couldn't," Harry said, "We have laws to keep hidden if Thor said something he could face prison, and believe me, no one wants to go to Azakaban, people go crazy and die in there. Sirius spent twelve years there for something he didn't do, when he escaped he was near death, Loki spent months nursing Sirius back to health."
"If that's true, then why are you risking prison to tell us?" Jane said.
"Because Voldemort has muggles helping him, and the world will know about us soon, what I tell you isn't going to matter now," Harry said.
"Can someone please, tell me what the hell a muggle is?" Bucky demanded.
"You're a muggle," Harry said, "It's what we wizards call those without magic."
"There is just one thing I want to know," Tony said, holding up his finger, "What does Loki look like as a woman?"
"Tony," Bruce chided.
"What?" Tony demanded, "It's a good question, shouldn't we know? In case we ever come across him, or her?"
"Okay, you have a point," Bruce said.
"Besides, I want to know if Loki is hot as a woman," Tony said, the others groaned. "Oh, don't deny you aren't curious, Loki is a handsome guy, even if he's evil, but just think of what he looks like as a woman."
"Stark," Thor warned.
"Oh come, Point Break, I'm just curious," Tony said, grinning. Harry wondered if he wasn't trying to annoy Thor on purpose, or maybe the conversation was getting too dark for him, and he decided to change it, but before anyone could reply, a familiar voice echoed crossed the room.
"Curiosity killed the cat, Stark."
AN: I thought since they knew Loki was a shapeshifter and had the tesseract, and add how Harry was dressed that they might mistake Harry for Loki at first, and I liked the idea of Thor figuring out Harry's Loki's son, instead being told, in the comics Thor doesn't have dumb or acts as goofy as he is in the movies, so, I was trying to makr him little more like the comics. Tony didn't get affected by Harry's spell because it hit his suit not him directly, but the force was still able to knock him down.
