Konoha, forest of death
"AAAAHHHH!" yelled a certain blond haired boy as he fell from a hole.
He crashed down onto the ground and groaned in pain. The boy opened his blue eyes and looked up to see the hole where he fell from. The young boy quickly stood up and looked around.
"Eesh, talk about a tough test. Seriously, what kind of cave is underground?" the boy asked having no knowledge of the complexity of geography in order to understand how caverns works, furthermore... "Ok calm down, I bet your not an expert yourself buddy." the boy told the narrator.
"Sorry, I just get ahead of myself dude." the narrator said.
Continuing on, the boy walked around hoping to find a way outside of the cavern. That is until three large creatures with green skin armed with knives appeared. The boy quickly drew his kunai as he faced the creatures.
"Ok you jerks! You asked for this!" the boy said as he dashed around each of them and managed to cut them down easily. "Wow, these guys were weak." he said before realizing he was surrounded by more of them. "Me and my big mouth." he said.
Some time later, the boy had managed to overcome the many beasts. These creatures were not normal around the Elemental nations, so to an expert it would have made no sense to find them here. Sure a giant spider was confirmed by the psychotic proctor in charge of the exams, but nothing like goblins, carbuncles, eye fangs and blue wisps.
After making it out, he found some stone steps leading up to some kind of alter. Sadly fate decided to be cruel by dropping another creature in front of him. A large shelled reptile in front of him known as a land turtle.
"So one more huh? I guess this won't be so bad." he said.
After a few paper bombs and kunai attacks, the land turtle gave into its wounds before falling into the bottomless abyss. The boy panted from having dealt with all the insanity including the giant turtle. He continued to make his way up and found a giant crystal in the center of the altar.
"What the heck is this?" he asked.
You have been chosen.
The boy looked around seeking out the voice, "Who said that?" he asked before turning to the crystal. "Not like this pretty thing can talk." he said.
Darkness is threatening to engulf the world... When light is lost, the equilibrium will be no more.
"What? What are you talking about?" the boy asked knowing that it really is the crystal that is speaking with him.
There are others who share your destiny. You must seek them out.
"Destiny? What are you talking about?" Naruto asked.
I know all about you, Naruto Uzumaki. Fallen hero of Konoha.
"H-hey! How do you know who I am?" Naruto asked.
You have many question and only with time they will be answered. However, the luxury of time is not a renewable resource at this moment. For now, I grant you this power.
"What... power..." Naruto stopped as he was surrounded by a light.
Within moments, he grew a few inches taller. His physical build was lean but a bit more muscular and hardened. His hair grew a bit and the spikiness of his hair softened a bit almost as if it would let him comb it. His attire was changed from his horrid orange jumpsuit to a teal skin tight outfit that revealed his upper biceps and covered his wrists with gauntlets.
"Woah, I look badass." Naruto said as he enjoyed the feeling of the new outfit.
The eyes identify the person, but they do not identify who they are.
"So don't judge a book by its cover?" Naruto asked.
Precisely, with that, I grant you power but not your true potential just yet.
"Hey that's not fair! I want to be strong to show those jerks what I'm made of!" Naruto yelled.
In time, your true power will awaken when you find out your purpose and who you are.
"How am I supposed to do that?" Naruto demanded.
You will find three others just like you, now go.
Before Naruto could ask more questions, he was surrounded by a bright light. Thus he disappeared and was returned to the real world.
Forest of death
Naruto's eyes widened as he started panting, "Ok, I think I ate some bad berries or something." he said before noticing his attire. "Ok so those were reality berries." he said as he looked around. "Now where.. UGH!" he fell on his hands and knees.
Naruto then proceeded to cough violently. The blond teen continued to suffer until something started coming out from his throat. Naruto assumed it was vomit or something similar so he just forcefully spat it out before rolling on his back and wheezing. Turning his head he saw a blue flame with eyes staring at him.
In this moment, Naruto and the sentient fire both had one thing to say.
"AAAAHHHHHHH!"
"AAAAHHHHHHH!"
"What the heck are you!?" Naruto asked.
"Hi I'm Calcifer and what I am is a demon made of fire." the flame answers.
Naruto remained silent as he registered that, "Ok... why were you inside of me?" he asked.
"Kid, get some wood for me and we'll talk. I'll literally die without being kept warm. Damn shinigami seal." Calcifer said muttering the last part.
Naruto looked around, "Well the best tools I had were my kunai and shuriken, but those are gone. So unless I magically summon something to my..." he stopped as a red sword wrapped in cloth appeared.
Calcifer eyed the sword, "Kid just break off a few branches and twigs. Then let me take a look at that sword." he said. After Naruto did as he was told, Calcifer briefly studied the blade. "Kid, this a demonic sword named Moralltach. Seeing as you can hold it, let alone summon it. You won't be hurt in any way for using it. Unless you stab yourself like an idiot." he said.
"Hey I'll be careful!" Naruto argued.
"Sure you will, anyways I should get to explaining now shouldn't I? So be quiet." Calcifer said as he ate a tree branch. "Ok, first of all the kyuubi is gone. I mean for good, big bastard isn't reforming." he said.
Naruto was about to speak but something on his mind told him to shut up.
"I expected an outburst, weird. Anyways, a long time ago the rikudo sennin or Sage of six paths as other call him made a deal with me and some other minor demons. We basically become a part of the bijuu and held their souls together since the nine were all one called the juubi. Apparently separating them didn't help maintain their existence. So they would either die or become the juubi again." Calcifer explained.
"So the old man didn't want to risk the latter." Naruto said.
"That's right, either his so called children die or they become the worst threat in humanity's existence. Yet the asshole wanted some cycle to continue involving his children who are basically the founders of the Senju and Uchiha clans. In a nutshell, humanity basically suffered because those two idiots passed on their chakra and spirits down to the next generation. I couldn't tell until now, but you got one of them." Calcifer said shocking Naruto.
"Are you for real? I have the power of the rikudo sennin's son?" Naruto asked with wide eyes.
"Kid, I'm not lying and I'll prove it to you later. Except there's a slight problem with that and I'll have to teach you how to deal with it later. Anyways, I'm here because that crystal freed me somehow and since the yondaime placed a seal that invoked the power of the shinigami. I'm stuck with you so I can't leave more than a couple meters of you without dying." Calcifer continued.
"So what now?" Naruto asked.
"First, we get out of this stinking forest and maybe I'll teach you some magic. You die, then I die, and the kyuubi's power will roam around like the plague. So you will have an army of those filthy things tearing up the place." Calcifer answered.
"Magic?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah magic, you used a special type of summoning magic. Trust me its better than basic sealing storage magic and while I'm at it, that sword is magic." Calcifer said as Naruto studied his blade by making it disappear and reappear. "No doubt that you have it's twin Beagalltach, but that would mean you also have the spear, Gae Dearg which can never be around with Gae Buidhe." he explained.
"So more cursed demon weapons? I didn't turn into a..."
"Relax, you're not a demon you knucklehead. Although your body was definitely enhanced from the looks of it. Those weapons require amazing speed and agility." Calcifer interrupted.
"Hell yeah! Well let's go find my shitty teammates Calcifer. We got a lot of training to do." Naruto said as he put Moralltach away.
"Right behind you partner." Calcifer said as he appeared on Naruto's shoulder before the blond took off into the forest.
With Sarutobi
The sandaime hokage was currently finishing up some meetings with the representatives of several foreign lands. It was about a decade or two ago that the Elemental Nations realized that it wasn't alone that there were a few more continents outs there with their very own civilizations. So naturally it lead to some eventual exploration within the first years.
To keep it brief, the monarchs of three kingdoms had decided to visit Konoha seeing as it was hosting the chunin exams. To be specific, Hiruzen Sarutobi had finished speaking with the representatives of Camelot, Liones and Fiore. All interesting nations with similar cultures, yet very different from the one here in the nations. Hopefully the civilians and shinobi alike wouldn't be too rowdy enough to alienate the foreign officials and cause a war.
The elderly kage's thoughts were broken by the sound of someone knocking on the door.
"Enter." Hiruzen said.
The door opened revealing an older gentleman around 40 years of age. His hair was spiky and brown with a brown goatee around his mouth. His attire looked to be victorian style, almost like that of the representatives. A blue coat with a vest underneath and an ascot tucked underneath added by some blue pants and brown leather boots with some sort of katana by his side. (DMC Vergil suit)
"Who might you be?" Hiruzen asked.
"Hokage-sama, you may find this hard to believe, but I am an old shinobi of this village. Better yet, a member one of the dying clans of this village." the man said.
"And which one do you claim to be?" Hiruzen asked with narrow eyes.
"Senju, Nawaki Senju to be exact." the man said as he revealed his tattered forehead protector.
Hiruzen might have to get his hearing check to make sure he heard that right.
With Naruto, a while later
"For crying out loud, aside from you advertising pumpkin season. How hard is it to find a pink mop wearing bright red?" Calcifer asked expecting Naruto to say something in Sakura's defense.
"You know if I have to admit something. Sasuke did a better job at staying concealed by wearing dark colors." Naruto replied.
Calcifer's mouth was wide open, "Ok time out! First you let me insult the banshee and now you compliment the emo. Did I mess with your head or something?" he asked.
Naruto took the time to think about that one, "Something is up, but it feels natural. Except the bastard is still bastard, but the banshee is still... appealing?" Calcifer was about to add his two cents in when Naruto spoke up. "How do you feel about her if she didn't have a tongue? Also, how much of a mess do you think Moralltach can make?" he asked.
"Aside from likely committing bloody murder, I think you've changed for the better." Calcifer said with a nod.
After a few more minutes of seeking around the forest, Naruto found Sakura getting beaten up by a sound kunoichi. From the looks of it, that Rock Lee kid was also there but he was beaten up and knocked unconscious. From the looks of it, Team 10 was in the trees and looking hesitant to jump in. Naruto shook his head as Calcifer gave him a knowing look.
"You ready to test out your new power kid?" Calcifer asked with a serious look in his eyes.
"You think you can watch my flank?" Naruto asked.
"If I had some more wood I could give you some flame cover and enhance your fire release. But for now, I'm your eyes, ears and coach." Calcifer said before they jumped.

Naruto jumped in and made his appearance known, "What is this? Another tree hugger? I'll show him not mess with us!" said the black spiky haired boy.
"Naruto jump now!" Calcifer warned as Naruto jumped over 10 meters into the air.
"Decapitating waves!" Zaku said only to miss.
Naruto started to look around in fear, "Don't get scared, think of this jump as an ordinary jump. Imagine the ground is only an inch away." Calcifer said as Naruto landed gracefully.
"What are you some kind of circus freak?" Dosu asked before revealing his own gauntlet. "Resonating Echo Drill." he called out.
Naruto jumped back as he avoided the attack, "Kid, draw out a weapon. I'm helping you learn how to fight while armed." Calcifer said as Naruto avoided the sound based attacks. Naruto summoned his spears on hand, "Ok these things are not like the swords. They're much more tricky and require a lot of arm work and flexibility since you could lose your grip easily." Calcifer explained as they avoided more sound attacks.
"Ok, I'll try to land a hit." Naruto said as he avoid some airwaves and tripped both of the men.
"Bastard! Extreme Decapitating Airwaves!" Zaku said only for Naruto to narrowly avoid the attack and get stabbed in the gauntlet by Gae Buidhe. "AH! You piece of shit! Crap now I sound like that Tayuya chick." he said before being smacked with the back of the red spear and knocked out.
"You'll pay for that tree hugger. Resonating Echo Drill!" Dosu said as Naruto felt the vibrations and crashed into a tree.
"Sweet! Wood! Num num num!" Calcifer said as he ate as much as he could quickly.
"Now is not a good time to eat Calcifer." Naruto said while recovering.
"I never interrupted you when you ate those noodles did I? Anyways, I got some heat now. So use a good chunk of chakra for this move. I'll give you the seals too." Calcifer said as Dosu prepared his gauntlet. "Snake - Ram - Monkey - Boar - Horse - Tiger! Then blow it all out!" he ordered.
Naruto suddenly blew out a great sea of flames making the Oto ninja run back only after his face was burned. Luckily he already had bandages on but it was likely not enough. What was enough, was the power behind the flames to force Dosu into submitting.
"You blew steam, I expected the fireball to come out. Aw well, we'll work on that later." Calcifer said.
"And Kakashi sensei said I didn't need a jutsu." Naruto said with a groan.
"Because clearly, you ability to turn into a woman, make copies of yourself and make copies of yourself as a woman along with fighting like a street thug. Is apparently enough to survive the shinobi world." Calcifer said a lot sarcasm in his voice.
Naruto then approached Kin who kept Sakura close to her with a kunai at the pink haired girl's throat, "Come closer and I'll slit her neck." she said.
"Do it." Naruto said with his arms crossed.
"What?" Kin asked.
"If you want to, who am I to stop you?" Naruto asked.
"Are you serious?" Kin asked.
"We go through kunoichi like you would a glass of water. They're fangirls so they're as good as cannon fodder. I can just order a new one and with the Uchiha, it will take like one day at most." Naruto explained logically as if he was selling insurance.
"Naruto-baka, you save me right now!" Sakura demanded.
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it?" Sakura remained silent as Kin kept a tight hold. "You see what I'm working with? Hey you two! Can we trade girls?" he turned and asked Dosu and Zaku who were both injured and unconscious. "They didn't say yes, but they also didn't say no." he said getting wide eyes from both girls.
"I thought this village was about friendship and companionship." Kin said while looking confused.
"If the civilians wanted they could cut down the forests to make pencils. Besides, the village made one of the best ninja kill themselves for doing his job." Naruto said as Kin looked horrified.
Calcifer nodded, "Yeah, some kid also vandalizes the hokage monument. No respect." he said while earning a glare from Naruto. Before Kin said anything, Calcifer opened his mouth, "Ash Breath!" he said as Kin's vision was blocked by a cloud of smoke and gave Naruto enough time to knock her out.
"Naruto-baka! You tried to get me killed!" Sakura shrieked as she tried to punch him.
Naruto caught the punch and squeezed her hand, "I am not a punching bag Haruno. Hit me and you'll lose it." he said before tossing her aside.
Then Sasuke woke up with a stupid tattoo on the side of his face, "Dobe, you took all my prey. I guess I have to remind you about where you belong." he said before charging at Naruto.
"New jutsu time Naruto. Boar - Ram - Snake - Horse - Dragon! Then extend your fingers and let it all out!" Calcifer said as Naruto emitted lightning from his hands and shocked Sasuke who came to close.
Sasuke quickly got up and tried to punch his head off. Naruto avoided the attack and sweeped the Uchiha's legs before landing an elbow on his belly. Sasuke pushed Naruto back and fired a fireball jutsu at him only for his teammate to use his superior agility to avoid the attack. Naruto went behind Sasuke and attacked him with his spears before landing a kick on top of his head finally knocking him out.
"That was worth some adrenaline, but all it taught me was to stay focused." Naruto said as Calcifer nodded.
Then Sakura shrieked again about Sasuke only be hit on the side of the head with Gae Dearg, "Ok, I've had enough of this forest. Let's get out of here." Calcifer suggested as Naruto made two clones and made them drag his teammates away.
He then made one more clone to loot the Oto team and found an earth scroll. Leaving a shocked Team 10 and Team Guy who just arrived.

At the tower
The trip became much more hectic as a team from Ame ambushed him. With those idiots, it was harder to defend. Lucky enough, outside of clones and decent genjutsu, Naruto was able to dispatch them. He even took their heaven scroll before finally making it to the tower. After reading the mural and letting Calcifer dumb it down, Naruto tossed both scrolls which revealed Iruka Umino in all his glory.
Only the chunin looked surprised, "Naruto is that you?" he asked.
"Yeah it's me. I can't really explain, but all I can say is I have this familiar with me." Naruto said referring to Calcifer.
"I'm Calcifer, beast of fire." he said knowing Iruka would throw a fit about him being a demon.
"Is he like a summon with a contract?" Iruka asked receiving a nod. "What happened to those two?" he asked.
"Sasuke got a curse mark and Sakura passed out from low blood pressure before hitting a tree." Naruto lied but Iruka couldn't deny it.
"Ok aside from Sakura needing a proper diet. I.e. real food, I should have hokage-sama take a look at the seal." Iruka said before having Naruto lead to the rooms until the duration of the test and informed him a nearby cafeteria and training hall.
"Ok Naruto, we both know you don't like sitting on your ass unless it involves ramen and hopefully they have real food here too. So we're going to spend the next couple of days working on those spears before finding a good text as reference. Then we move onto jutsus and the swords if we have time." Calcifer explained.
"You're oddly generous for a demon." Naruto commented.
"Well I just don't wanna die. Besides, we may not be trustworthy but some of us have honor and actually follow promises. Hell a kitsune can always lie and trick you but going back on a promise is like a death sentence." Calcifer replied.
Naruto nodded as he gave the flame demon a chance, "Ok, let's get started." he said.
Preliminaries
A couple days passed, Naruto took the time to train with Calcifer in learning how to use fire jutsu and fire "magic" as well as getting a good feel for the spears. Sasuke came in demanding information along with the spears only to get a face full of ash. The same could be said about Sakura who wouldn't shut up either. It was safe to say that Calcifer and Naruto were developing a slightly more than mutual bond.
Now the time came for when the second portion of the exam ended. The sandaime came in and announced that they had to start a preliminary round to reduce the number of contestants. He then proceeded to explain that this exam was just a substitute for war and also to earn clients for respective villages. Calcifer commented that it's better to lose less a dozen ninja at most in a test than several hundred in a full war. So sacrificing the few to protect the many was preferable despite Naruto having mixed ideas about that concept.
With that, a sickly jounin named Hayate Gecko took over as the next proctor. He then announced if anyone would wish to drop out. The first person to drop out was that Kabuto guy from earlier. Calcifer also commented that it's weird how they guy keeps quitting when he can sense high jounin reserves which got Naruto suspicious.
Regardless, it looked like there were several teams outside of Konoha that made it to the finals. Konoha itself has four genin teams, Suna had one team, from there it was that Oto team and some other team full of red haired people that Naruto didn't recognize.
"Hey Naruto, keep an eye out for those redheads. They have even more chakra than that Kabuto guy." Calcifer warned.
"Something to worry about Calcifer?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah, but it's about the one from Suna. I think that kid might be a bijuu container. His chakra is also high but it's different." Calcifer answered in a whisper.
"Hey Naruto, what the hell is that thing on your shoulder?" Shikamaru asked.
"Don't ask troublesome questions if you don't want troublesome answers Shikamaru." Naruto replied making the Nara nod as everyone sweat dropped out how satisfied he was.
"Um... N-Naruto-kun w-what e-exactly is th-that c-creature..." Hinata stuttered to say.
"Hinata could you speak up for me. I can't understand you." Naruto replied as he moved closer to listen to her.
Hinata blushed as she noticed his improved physique, "I-I-I..."
"Speak up!" Calcifer said before Hinata fainted. "Geez, can someone get her a doctor? She's looking a little too red." he added.
Back to the arena, a board appeared that started scrolling through names. Naruto turned his attention back to it and prepared for his potential match. Only it ended up landing on Sasuke's name along with one of Kabuto's teammates.

And once again Sasuke wins by stealing moves. Only this time it almost cost him the match. Whatever, Kakashi just grabbed him and ran off somewhere.
"Typical." Naruto said with Calcifer nodding.

-Dosu vs Choji Akimichi, same as canon-
-Temari vs TenTen, same as canon-
"Why would you have that many weapons if you haven't mastered any? I have two swords and two spears and I had issues just maintaining a grip." Naruto said.
"Some people like to go beyond human limits. It seems admirable, but using the same technique gets you nowhere kid." Calcifer said as he saw Lee catch TenTen who was already battered.
-Naruto Uzumaki vs Kankuro vs Kiba Inuzuka-
"Triple threat? That's unfair." Calcifer said.
"Life's unfair Calcifer, come on." Naruto said while jumping over the rail.
"Alright! We get the deadlast and some make up boy! An easy win for us Akamaru!" Kiba said as he jumped down.
"It's war paint!" Kankuro said as he also jumped down.
"Are all competitors ready? Begin!" Hayate announced.

Naruto drew Gae Buidhe and readied himself, "Kid watch out for that mongrel and his dog too. Both are fast and hit hard, but the mongrel is useless without his sidekick." he said as he avoided Kiba's attack by jumping high in the air.
Kiba smacked into a wall and groaned as he hit his head, "Where did he go?" he asked.
"Arf!"
"Naruto watch out for make up boy, he's not a real boy. He's made of wood." Calcifer warned as Naruto quickly dashed at him and immediately bisected the puppet.
"He was in the mummy." Naruto said as Kankuro came out.
Luckily Naruto managed to avoid the puppet as it came back together, "He's a puppet master. Kid it's time to unveil your beauty." Calcifer said as Naruto removed the sealing cloth around Gae Buidhe.
"Hold still damn it! Fang Piercing Fang!" Kiba yelled from behind Naruto.
Naruto spinned on his heel and narrowly cut Kiba's side. All the way down to his leg. Kiba barely felt it, but the damage was already done once the blade's effect kicks in.
"Nice spear, it barely nicked me. Come on Akamaru!" the dog appeared beside his master. "Four Legs Technique! Human Beast Clone!" Kiba soon appeared on all fours as Akamaru transformed into Kiba.
"It's all over now. Even with a new weapon and appearance Naruto can't keep up." Kurenai said too arrogantly for Shino and Hinata's taste.
"Kid, beat his ass and then deal with puppet boy next." Calcifer said as he started growing from rage.
"Will do!" Naruto said as he dashed at Kiba.
"Fang Rotating Fang!" Kiba yelled out as he and Akamaru practically turned into buzzsaws and went after Naruto. "Game over loser!" he yelled.
Naruto took a deep breath as he used his enhanced speed to meet up with Kiba in the middle. Kankuro just stood there and waited for the victor of those to come out. He noticed Kiba's sensei looking smug, but the Suna ninja had wide eyes as he turned his head back to see Naruto avoiding the saw like attack by mere inches. The move only ended when Naruto briefly impaled Kiba and quickly took his spear out.
Naruto landed in a squatting position before standing up. Looking back Kiba and Akamaru were no longer spinning and crashed into the wall. Akamaru whimpered as he reverted to his original form and huddled near Kiba. Luckily the dog didn't get hit by the weapon.
"Hey eyes on doll boy." Calcifer said as Naruto avoided the needles coming from the puppet.
"Hold still, I can't lose if I don't take the hit." Kankuro said arrogantly.
"Ok I got two ideas, either we go for his hands or you try blowing a whole lot of fire on the puppet or puppet master." Naruto said.
"If you can get close enough I can land the hit." Calcifer replied.
After a few narrow hits, Naruto avoided the attacks as well as repelling the puppet by countering it with his spear. Kankuro tried to go in for another trap only to be kicked in the face. Recalling his puppet to his side, Kankuro avoid getting pricked by Gae Buidhe. Calcifer took this chance to blow a great sea of flames at the puppet. Using this as a distracting, Naruto tossed his spear to a shadow clone he made.
The clone quickly ran behind Kankuro who scoffed at it. Not because he had a good defense in mind, but because he assumed it to be a normal clone rather than a solid one. This was his undoing as he was stabbed in the side of the abdomen which made him lose focus and drop the burning puppet. Naruto proceeded to stomp on the puppet before lifting Kankuro up and punching his head and making him crash into a wall.
Kankuro fell unconscious while Kiba tried to get up only to collapse a few times. Naruto raised his fist like he was a gladiator to Hayate nodded.

"Winner Naruto Uzu..."
"I request a name change." Naruto interrupted making several people gasp. "If I may, I prefer to be known as Naruto Ua Duibhne." he said.
Hiruzen stepped up as he felt worried hearing this, "Why change your name Naruto?" he asked.
"I don't really see any reason to be called Uzumaki seeing as I have no real family or relatives. So I want to make a name for myself based on a legendary spearman." Naruto explained as no one noticed the guilty look ridden on the face of the jounin sensei from that mysterious village.
Sarutobi nodded, "Very well, the name change is accepted." he announced.
Hayate nodded, "Winner Naruto Ua Duibhne!" he said as the lancer jumped back up with the other competitors while Kiba and Kankuro were dragged off.
"Troublesome, I knew there was something off about you." Shikamaru said.
"You should have noticed that when you saw my familiar." Naruto said as he pointed to Calcifer who snagged some pieces of the puppet to eat.
"Naruto where did you get those weapons and the summons?" Kakashi asked or rather demanded.
"Calcifer gave them to me after I found him." Naruto lied.
Calcifer just followed what Naruto said, "The kid is pure of heart and all that." he said while he continued to munch.
"Then shouldn't you turn him and the weapons over?" Kakashi asked as he hoped to steal a summoning contract for Sasuke.
"No can't do scarecrow, I made a contract with the kid. I didn't see at the time, but he's got a seal linked to the shinigami. I'm with him until he's dead, I'm dead or we're both dead." Calcifer said knowing what Kakashi was up to.
"Then you should know..."
"For kami's sake, it's sentient chakra you idiot. Just because it breathes fire or uses fire doesn't mean it's a demon. Otherwise the Uchiha slaughter or whatever you call it would have been a good thing. Still, those eyes creep me the hell out." Calcifer said as he hated the Uchiha clan whether or not he was a bijuu.
Kakashi was about to retort when the next match started.
-Ino Yamanaka vs Sakura Haruno, same as canon-
"Holy crap, you should double their training. Let's see, tell Naruto to do his chakra control and nothing else while not even bothering to evaluate it. Then more teamwork exercises for the Haruno girl while you give an entire arsenal to that batshit Uchiha brat." Calcifer said.
"Kakashi, what the hell is that thing talking about?" Asuma asked.
Before Kakashi could deny anything, Calcifer ran his mouth, "Hey beardo, if you really want to know. One of my rules was that I had to see into this kid's memories. Aside from the jerks in town, he's been teaching this kid next to nothing. He didn't even know what a elemental affinity was let alone chakra control. He's got jounin level reserves for a 12 year old for crying out loud and he faced Zabuza before learning how to walk up a tree." he explained.
"That thing is lying!" Kakashi said.
"Oh? So it must have been the other gray haired, masked jounin with a Sharingan implant under his forehead protector. I'm sorry, I guess Iwa just snuck in some random spy." Calcifer said very sarcastically as everyone started to look Kakashi with a critical eye.
"My hair is silver." Kakashi said although it was a poor defense.
-Tai Uzumaki vs Neji Hyuga-
Everyone quickly turned their attention back to the arena at the sight of that name. Naruto also raised a brow as Calcifer scowled at the sight. Naruto only recently went through a name change due to having a talk with Naruto. It was because Calcifer explained the origin of the weapons he had and about the chivalrous warrior who wielded them.
Naruto was inspired by the hero's sacrifice and tragic betrayal that he wanted to honor his predecessor. Besides the name Uzumaki always felt forced in his early years. So now it felt weird since now that there's someone else with that name.
Paying attention to the fight, Tai was able to utilize his kenjutsu against Neji and forcing the Hyuga to retreat whenever he came to close. However Neji didn't give up, despite the decent level of kenjutsu, Neji did land a few good attacks and disabled part of Tai's tenketsu. Then there was the fact that Neji was able to reflect Tai's attacks with a dome of chakra called kaiten. After a few hits, Tai managed to defeat Neji by leaving a seal array to disable Neji's chakra and prevent him from using his dojutsu and kaiten again.
It was all over once Neji was on the ground with a sword pointed to his face.
"Winner Tai Uzumaki!" Hayate announced while Neji grumbled about fate or something.
"Naruto, I thought you said you didn't have relatives." Shino asked.
"I don't, I don't even look like him or those other people. It's probably a common name outside of the village." Naruto said with a shrug as Shino registered all that.
"It is a logical hypothesis, my mistake." Shino said before his match came up.
-Shino Aburame vs Zaku Abumi, same as canon-
Shino's match was easier than expected. While Zaku was arrogant for his own good and had a damaged limb. He still couldn't use his jutsu as if he had run out of chakra or something. This just lead to Shino avoiding his poor taijutsu while the kikaichu ate away at Zaku's chakra until the Oto ninja passed out.
-Gaara Vs Rock Lee, same as canon-
-Misumi Tsurugi vs Nori Uzumaki-
Once again Naruto narrowed his eyes as he saw some red haired girl approach Kabuto's other teammate. Naruto also caught her briefly glancing at him before turning away quickly.
The fight started and the female Uzumaki proved to have some decent taijutsu in her along with a lot of stamina. However while she seemed to be winning initially, Misumi performed a strange technique where he wrapped around her like a snake. Apparently Misumi was trying to siphon away her chakra similar to Shino's insects.
Except he didn't expect Nori to have a large chakra reserve or another secondary reserve. Calcifer internally growled as Naruto recognized the red chakra building up around Nori. That was enough to force Misumi to let go as he looked like he was being lit on fire. However it appeared that Nori became a danger as she started to violently claw at Misumi as the chakra started to take over her mind.
"Kid get down there. She can't control herself!" Calcifer ordered.
"What do you want me to do about it?" Naruto asked.
"Just jump down, I'm gonna draw up a siphoning seal on your hand to absorb... I mean negate the chakra." Calcifer said as he moved to Naruto's wrist.
Naruto decided to let his recklessness get the better of him and jumped down. Hayate was about to intervene when the hokage signalled the ANBU to prepare to restrain the Uzumaki. Naruto slammed his hands on the ground forcing a wall of earth to block Nori while Misumi tried to make it to safety. After a few seconds, Nori bursted through the earth wall.
"Onii-chan!" Nori yelled.
"What?" Naruto asked.
"Kid raise your hand high. I'll do the rest." Calcifer said. Naruto raised his hand revealing an old seal, "Begone, begone, bain duit féin beithíoch salach. Fill ar ais ar do fhearann." he chanted as Nori stopped in her tracks as the chakra started to leave her body and entered Calcifer's mouth.
Nori soon collapsed on the floor as the ANBU arrived, "Due to interruption, Misumi Tsurugi is disqualified. The winner is Nori Uzumaki... that is if she can continue." Hayate said.
"Hey kid, I'm pretty prideful but I don't mind you saving my ass from that thing." Misumi said as he limped away to the medics.
"Naruto if you would, I would like to see you in my office after the preliminaries end." the sandaime spoke up leaving some people thinking that the former Uzumaki is in trouble.
"As you wish." Naruto said with a bow before jumping back up with the others.
-Final match Hinata Hyuga vs Haruo Uzumaki-
The fight ended pretty quickly as Hinata gave into her anxiety and fears. She put up a good fight quickly, but the arrogantly Uzumaki appeared to have the upper hand in this case. Nonetheless the poor Hyuga girl had to give up to avoid serious injury but at least received some encouragement from her teammates and sensei.
"And with that, these preliminaries are over. Everyone who has won, please come down to receive a number." Hayate said as Anko came up with a bowl of numbers.
As they each grabbed a number, Hiruzen explained that the exams will score each participant based on skill rather than victory or defeat. So a first place victory will not guarantee a promotion, but even losing in the first round could be enough to earn one. So overall everyone had to focus on developing their skills and impressing the judges rather than using their favorite moves to win every match.
However there was a new addition to the rules.
"As you all have heard, we will be visited by representatives from a foreign land outside of the land of fire." this was news for some people, but some knew there were new VIPs coming. "With that said, some of them have held their own tournaments and are sending their own champions to represent their respective kingdoms in the exams. With that said, the number you receive will not be one of the people you see in this room. They will be someone from another land." this was met with a lot of groaning.
"Settle down brats, you made it this far. The shinobi world is filled with a lot of unfairness. So tough it up." Anko said as everyone took a note.
As everyone said their number, Anko revealed a chart with the names of their potential opponents. For some, these were names that were just as strange as the one Naruto gave himself. Nonetheless, some were eager to fight new opponents to prove their strength. So this is how the list was written once Anko matched the name with opponents.

Naruto kept a note of the name he would be facing. As everyone kept a note for themselves of whom they would see in the finals. Naruto left and went straight to the hokage's tower as he was requested.
Hokage tower
Instead of the usual office, Sarutobi had Naruto meet him in a room where there were two small couches meeting each other. It was one where you could see all four photos of each hokage since they were first inaugurated. Both Naruto and Calcifer got confused when they thought they saw Asuma without his beard on that wall.
That's when Sarutobi arrived with Nawaki by his side, "Naruto this is Nawaki Senju, he's the grandson of the shodaime." he said as the older man shook Naruto's hand. "Anyways, I wanted to ask you about the forest of death and about your new friend." he said while pointing to Calcifer.
"Hey I'm not his friend, I'm his mutual associate." Calcifer replied.
Nawaki narrowed his eyes, "You're a demon of fire and a weak one from the looks of it." he said shocking the pair. "Relax you two, I won't bite and I already warned the old man the little fire. He just wants to know where did you get him." he explained.
"Speaking of which, I received word that your team faced Orochimaru. Can you explain what happened?" Hiruzen asked.
Naruto sighed as he started, he explained that some kunoichi from Kusa attacked him and Sasuke only to reveal that he was Orochimaru. The sannin bit Sasuke and gave him a curse mark that made him berserk later. Anyways, in between that, he explained how he fell down into a cavern after Orochimaru hit him with some kind of seal. That's when he met the crystal and was told he was important for some reason and was given a new set of abilities and had his body modified to better handle the shinobi world.
That's when Calcifer butted in and explained that he came out of Naruto and continued his story about the bijuu. Ignoring the shock of the old men, Calcifer explained that Naruto was given the weapons of an ancient warrior named Diarmuid ua Duibhne. Naruto got inspired by the story and decided to change his name with the reason he gave earlier.
Nawaki then spoke up, "Naruto-san, that crystal you found is the Wind crystal. It's been around for possibly thousands of years. It was no accident or coincidence it found you." he said.
"I think I heard of that crystal too, but that doesn't explain why this dummy chosen out of the thousands in this stinking village." Calcifer said.
"As I explained to the hokage, I too was chosen by the crystal at a young age. Now it brought me back to Konoha after so many years to train my successor." Nawaki said.
"Successor of what?" Naruto asked.
"Naruto, you young man are the next Warrior of Light." Nawaki answered.
"I'm the what?" Naruto asked.
"When darkness is rising, there will come four warriors of light. It's happened before and now the time has come again." Nawaki answered.
"So what do you want from me?" Naruto asked.
Sarutobi smirked, "Naruto, how would you like Nawaki to train you and take you on as an apprentice?" he asked.
"Do it kid! You can't do worse this time." Calcifer suggested.
Naruto didn't think twice, "Deal!" he said.
"Alright, I'll see you at training ground 22 at 7 am." Nawaki said while shaking the hand of his new apprentice.
"That doesn't mean you'll be three hours late right?" Naruto asked as the Senju sweat dropped.
"Naruto, a small war could end in that much time." Hiruzen said as he got his pipe ready.
"Good a competent teacher. You really lucked out on this one kid." Calcifer said.
Four days later
After a couple days of training the body and using shadow clones to practice sword katas for Beagalltach and Moralltach. Nawaki didn't know much about spears so they needed to find some scrolls on that. The real Naruto had to go through some physical conditioning to make sure he could get a better grip on his senses and enhanced physique.
However it did occur to the Senju that it might be a good time to make sure his new student was in fine health. It was nothing new that the crystal would grant strength and power, but a brand new body was unheard of. Then again it would likely explain why his former teammate looked like a little girl. So worst case scenario, Naruto's heart could be where one of his arteries should be.
"Tell me doctor." Nawaki said in a serious voice. "How long does he have to live?" he asked.
The nurse he spoke to just sweat dropped, "I'm a nurse, but I think your student is fine outside of his heart beating at slightly faster rate than usual but he appears fine." she said as Naruto tried to figure how to put on his suit again.
"I know it's better than my jumpsuit, but at least that thing had a zipper along with some breathing room." Naruto said as he struggled to put the top on.
"You get used to new attire Naruto. Trust me, you'll love making a name for yourself in legend and in fashion." Nawaki said with a grin.
"Yeah, maybe he can grow a stupid beard while he's at it." Calcifer retorted.
Nawaki shrugged it off as he signed some paperwork, "You'll find out that the ladies love the beard. Unless your Mito obaa-chan, she ended up shaving jiji and Madara at one point." he said.
Naruto learned that he truly was an Uzumaki and while he needed some time to cope with it. Naruto stopped caring, he didn't really feel like he should go ask those Uzumaki people about their relationship. He was practically an adult now and barely had anyone outside of a few people in his life. So he didn't really see a need to keep the name since he didn't have anything in common with the clan outside of high chakra reserves and longevity.
Besides, Nawaki was a quarter Uzumaki as was his sister. While the man appreciated his grandmother and respected their traditions, he was pretty much a Senju by heart since he was raised that way. So at least Naruto had someone in his life who was willing to hear him out if something is on his mind.
"I bet the old woman would kick your ass for being a pervert." Naruto said.
"I'm a gentleman, maybe I'll literally teach you some manners. You need to stop eating those noodles like you're going to die from starvation." Nawaki said as he handed the papers back.
"Whatever, ramen is the food of the gods." Naruto said.
"Mito said the same thing." Calcifer said.
"What the hell is it with you people and noodles? I like meat and lots of it." Nawaki said before they left the office.
With that, the master and student left the room and were leaving the hospital. Meanwhile Calcifer was suggesting getting Naruto hooked up on mana, but Nawaki suggested using a special item called Materia. It's what some used to perform magic and summon creatures to their side but required internal energy. However that became obsolete when Nawaki developed larged mana reserves with elite control.
However it is better others who don't use magic as often or are new to it. So Naruto accepted the idea as he was excited to use magic since it would technically be a secondary source of energy but would initially put a heavy strain on his constitution. Luckily the materia would solve that for now.
"I got a couple of spells in my bag at the mansion. I'll see if I can get a couple of gauntlets made to handle the materia." Nawaki said as he started working on a long term plan when someone stopped them.
"Naruto there you are." Kakashi said revealing himself. "I wanted to talk to you about the exams. You see Sasuke is fighting an unknown enemy from another land. So I thought he would be better prepared by learning from your summon and using your weapons. So..."
"Let me stop you there. First of all, this is interference and favoritism." Naruto said.
"Naruto, you have to understand that Sasuke needs the victory. So act mature and hand over your supplies." Kakashi said as he extended his hand only for Calcifer to burn him.
"Listen here you one eyed pedophile! I don't like Naruto and he doesn't like me, but we're partners! So I'm not going to abandon his ass because you want to stick your dick out for the Uchiha! You got two students! Not one! Besides like blondie said, you would be taking away someone else's arsenal jackass!" Calcifer yelled as he grew and formed his flames into the shape of biceps.
"Be reasonable flame-san, don't you want to fight with someone as prestigious as the last Uchiha?" Kakashi asked as if he wasn't listening.
"Listen here you little prick, I don't care if he's your literal wet dream! I'm not dealing with that pompous ass!" Calcifer argued.
"And I'm not handing my spears or my swords!" Naruto said.
Just as Kakashi tried to pull rank, Nawaki stepped up, "And he's not your student for these exams jounin." he said.
"What are you talking about? I'm his assigned sensei." Kakashi asked.
"Well I'm his new teacher and as of the end of the preliminaries, he's my apprentice." Nawaki said as he pulled out a document stamped by the hokage. Kakashi's eyes widened at this, "So if you don't mind, I have to prepare him for the exams." he said.
"But I already have someone to tutor him." Kakashi said as Ebisu came out.
"It's me." Ebisu said as if he was trying to be dramatic.
"The closet pervert?" Naruto asked.
Ebisu tried to silence him only for Calcifer to blow fire his way, "Hey this guy got his ass kicked by an army of female Naruto's." Calcifer said.
"Thinking about it, I feel like there's so many ways that jutsu could have been improved." Naruto said as he started drawing schematics to improve the henge since it's not a genjutsu, but it requires the user to have an idea of what the person looks like according to their thoughts.
"Who's this guy?" Nawaki asked.
"I'm Ebisu, a jounin and tutor to the honorable grandson." Ebisu said arrogantly.
"I miss being the honorable grandson. I would get free ice cream sometimes." Nawaki said making everyone sweat drop. "Anyways, I already heard about you. You're one of those guys that assume power is everything and you Hatake, you have an arsenal of jutsus fit for an army and yet you find importance in reading pornography rather than leading a squad on time. Back in my day, that would earn you a demotion." he explained.
"Well I'm going to talk to the hokage about this." Kakashi said as he stormed off with the idea that he will get what he wants.
"Beat is string bean." Nawaki said to Ebisu.
Ebisu scoffed, "As if you could defeat an elite jounin myself. As I stated I am the personal tutor of the hokage's grandson." he said arrogantly.
Nawaki's response was to flick his finger at Ebisu's forehead. The next thing anyone knew, the sunglasses wearing jounin crashed through three walls before landing in some woman's bathroom just as she was about to get dressed. Surprisingly the woman's shriek and slap was a lot louder than the crashing.
"Mito Obaa-chan wasn't only a good fuinjutsu master. She was probably the most badass woman in Konoha." Nawaki said as he blew off the smoke from his fingers.
Naruto just shrunk at the sight of brute force, "Um sensei, sword... s-spear... m-magic?" he stuttered out.
"Oh yeah, you need gauntlets." Nawaki said as he dragged him away.
"Well it was nice knowing you kid." Calcifer said.
Two weeks later
After a hellish training session, Nawaki proved that he was no push over and it was thanks to Naruto retaining his healing factor and enhanced endurance. The student was able to survive the long hours and intense sessions. It was already hellish when Nawaki made him change his diet. So after having to learn the basics of elemental magic along with some fire and earth ninjutsu, Nawaki decided to give his first student a break.
So Naruto was given the day off under the guise of a "meditative retreat" or some spiritual bullshit. So with that, he decided to visit Ichiraku Ramen in hopes of returning to the real world. However, with the path to paradise there will always be devils in the way. Minding his own business, Naruto decided to take another path by going through the alley ways.
On his way there he noticed two chunin blocking some silver haired girl's path. She appeared to be in her mid teens, silver hair with a white dress and pink shawl. Naruto sighed as he knew the kind of men the poor girl was running into.
"And they say chivalry isn't dead." Calcifer muttered as he shrunk down and hid himself.
Naruto slowly approached the two chunin with Beagalltach in his hand, "So how about a cute little girl such as yourself follow us and maybe we'll just show you the way." one of them said.
"No that's fine, I'm sure I'll make my way there." the girl said revealing her soft voice.
"Oh come on, don't you trust us?" asked the other chunin who had a lecherous smile plastered onto his face.
"She would have a better time hanging out with the old hag living in the sewers." Naruto spoke up.
The two chunin turned to him and sneered, "Aren't you that Uzumaki brat? Get lost." one said.
"Yeah, let the adults have fun er- do their duty Uzumaki and put that toy away. You might get yourself and Uchiha-sama killed with that thing." the other sneered.
Naruto merely swinged Beagalltach a couple times, "What?" one of them asked.
That's when their clothing along with their flak jackets and pouches fell apart. Both chunin were half naked down to their skivvies. The silver haired girl turned red as both chunin left with their tails between their legs. Then again if they did have tails, those would be hanging as they ran off.
"This isn't over brat!" one of them yelled as they ran off.
Naruto put his sword away as he scratched his head sheepishly, "Ya know I'm not usually the chivalrous type but those guys tend to be jerks. I'm Naruto by the way." he said.
The girl bowed her head, "Elizabeth." she said.
"Well Elizabeth-chan, I overheard you got lost so do you want any directions? Maybe suggest a path that avoids all the creeps?" Naruto asked.
'Diarmuid, you may have found your successor.' Calcifer thought.
"I wouldn't mind that at all. I'm a visitor from a foreign land so these hidden villages are very confusing for me. I'm looking for this district and building where my family is staying at for the tournament." Elizabeth explained as she showed him a paper with the address.
Mayuri District, Konohime Resort and Spa
Naruto turned his head towards the direction of the district, "That's on the other side of the village." he said while hiding his disappointment.
"Oh my! I must have strayed too far from my sisters." Elizabeth said while looking embarrassed.
"I was really hoping to visit my favorite ramen stand too." Naruto said while looking dejected.
'Diarmuid, your legacy is tarnished.' Calcifer thought as he face palmed.
"Maybe I should help you anyways. There's a lot of strangers and freaks including a sewer hag." Naruto said.
"That would be wonderful!" Elizabeth said.
Naruto scratched his head again, "Well I guess I consider this my good deed for today. So come on." he said as he lead her.
The way there was rather long and despite his own warning, Naruto lead Elizabeth through the alleyways. It was the quickest way around and he didn't want to go all the way around the village. Besides the last thing he needs is a bunch of villagers harassing her for following him around. However he couldn't help but feel some tension around him and it wasn't coming from Elizabeth.
That's when Calcifer appeared by his shoulder, "Hurry the hell up, I don't like being followed." he whispered.
"I don't think Elizabeth means any harm." Naruto whispered back.
"I don't mean the girl. I mean those other chumps that are following you." Calcifer said as Naruto started to pick up heavy chakra signatures. "You see what I mean? At the very least if we run, take the braud with you." he added.
Naruto stopped for a moment and grabbed Elizabeth's hand, "Is something wrong Mr. Naruto?" she asked.
"Yeah, we should hurry up." Naruto said as they started to run.
"Oh is your favorite restaurant closing soon?" Elizabeth asked only to hear Calcifer laugh.
"Ok that just sounds so cute. She doesn't know you, she's lost in a foreign, got harassed by two perverted assholes and now she's worried about a complete stranger's stomach." Calcifer said surprising Elizabeth. "Then again it's Wednesday so they close at 4:30, so you better haul ass kid."he added.
"Don't mind him, he's just my familiar." Naruto said as they started to move faster.
"Sir Naruto is something worrying you?" Elizabeth asked.
Her answer came in the form of a couple of red haired shinobi wearing masks. Naruto got a look from Calcifer that said trouble was coming. It didn't help that he saw more of them of them coming from the corner.
"Kid use it!" Calcifer said as they ran to a dead end.
"Elizabeth hang on!" Naruto said as picked her up in his arms and ran up the walls.
"Sir Naruto who are they!?" Elizabeth asked as the red heads followed him.
"I don't know but they aren't Konoha ANBU!" Naruto said as he applied both chakra into his soles.
"Kid you're going to break your legs if you put that much energy into them!" Calcifer warned.
"Naruto Uzumaki, stop running and come with us!" one of them yelled.
"Follow the creepy masked people that are chasing me around? That just screams red flag!" Naruto yelled to them.
"Then we will have to use force!" one said as he revealed some chakra chains.
"Crap, Calcifer I can't run and fight at the same time. I'm letting you take control of my chains." Naruto said.
"Got it! Eat this you clown reject!" Calcifer said as several white chains launched out of Naruto's back.
(FF8 OST - Don't Be Afraid)
Unlike the regular Uzumaki chakra chains, these ones were mutated into have tips that would be in the form of sharp and blunt weapons. So it was a surprise to for them to see that their "unbreakable" chains could be destroyed like string. However excessive use can put a strain on Naruto despite Calcifer being able to give him the boost.
At a training ground near a lake
"Sir Naruto beside you!" Elizabeth called out.
"Water Style: Water Prison Jutsu!" one of the shinobi called out.
"Dragon Missile!" Calcifer called out as he created steam from the collision. Calcifer proceeded to inhale the steam before blowing it back out, "Steam Burn!" he said as he burned the enemy ninja's flesh.
"Damn it, we should head for the tower!" Naruto said as he looked around to look for the hokage's tower. "Sorry I had to drag you into this Elizabeth-chan." he said as he tried to avoid being cornered.
Elizabeth didn't really blame him but she was unnerved by the sight of being attacked by a foreign opposition. All the while Naruto knew he couldn't put Elizabeth down without putting her in danger. Whether or not she was a foreign noble and a stranger as well, he didn't have it in his heart to put the life of someone else in danger.
"It's over Naruto Uzumaki. Come with us and the girl won't be hurt." they said.
"Bastards, you would put an innocent in danger? Just who the hell do you think you are!?" He yelled.
"You will be coming with us." was all they said.
However before they could attempt anything. A pink haired individual appeared and slammed his fist into the ground and surrounded the area in a ring of fire.

"Alright you jerks, don't play dumb with me! I heard you've been chasing this guy and his friend. I know I'm new to this ninja country, but that doesn't sit well with me." the teen said.
"Stay out of this foreigner!" a female ninja demanded.
That's when three other people and a cat appeared, "Natsu stop running off on your own!" yelled the red haired girl among them.
"Oh crap another one!" Naruto said.
"Erza look! We found your relatives!" said the flying blue cat.
"Happy those are not my relatives!" the one named Erza said.
"Hey guys are you actually here to help? Because I could sure use it!" Naruto said as he avoided more water jutsus.
"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu yelled out as he bashed through the shinobi that were surrounding Naruto. "I got your back stranger!" he said with a thumbs up.
"Hey Naruto, why don't you surround Elizabeth with some clones? I bet we could finish these guys off now that the cavalry's here." Calcifer suggested.
"Sure thing, sorry Elizabeth. I'll try to get you back to your family." Naruto said as he put her down and surrounded her with 10 clones.
"Be careful!" she warned.
"Hey Lucy, maybe Aquarius would be useful right now against these guys." said the shirtless guy with ice in his hands.
"Sure thing Gray, Open Gate of the Water Bearer! Aquarius!" Lucy said as mermaid appeared. "Take them down!" she ordered.
"Tck." Aquarius said while looking annoyed.
"I don't have time for this." Lucy said with a groan.
"Lucy was it? Whatever it is you did, I think Aquarius-san wants an apology." Naruto said he engaged one of the shinobi in a sword fight.
"Like that's going to help." Lucy said with a scoff.
Aquarius faced the other way, "I wouldn't mind an apology." she said.
"For what!?" Lucy demanded.
"FOR DROPPING MY KEY ALL THOSE TIMES YOU UNGRATEFUL SPOILED BRAT!" Aquarius yelled.
"Um Aquarius-san, on behalf of Lucy, I a complete stranger. Better known as Naruto Ua Duibhne, apologize on her behalf and owe you one favor!" Naruto said in between sword strikes.
"What did he just say?" Natsu asked as he pushed some shinobi back.
"He said he owes her a solid flame brain!" Gray answered with hostility.
"I wasn't asking you of all people ice princess!" Natsu argued.
"I'm guessing they aren't friends." Naruto said.
"We're on the same team, so I have to deal with this." Lucy said.
"Oh teammates, I get that. I got a banshee and bastard." Naruto said.
"So Laxus and maybe Evergreen if she screamed." Gray suggested.
"Lockie and who?" Naruto asked.
However as they had their in between conversations, enemy reinforcements arrived and set their eyes on Aquarius as the main threat. Sadly they were in for a world of hurt for their actions.
"Water Style: Tidal wave!" the group said as they hit Aquarius dead on.
Only when the water was gone, all they saw was an angry woman with a death glare. Before they knew it, Aquarius sucked up all the water she had and put it into her vase before release a giant wave that they couldn't counter. However Naruto had to spread his clones out to save his new allies from drowning.
"You can fly!?" everyone minus Elizabeth asked.
"No! Jump good!" Naruto replied as they landed safely just as the wave ended.
"Well that's enough for me. I'll be on date with my boyfriend. Don't call me for a week." Aquarius told Lucy in a rather rude tone.
"Rude much?" Naruto asked.
"You don't know the half of it." Lucy said with anime tears.
However lick seemed to be against them as more of those red haired shinobi appeared. Even worse, they all reminded Naruto that they have massive chakra reserves like him. With that being said, they all performed the shadow clone jutsu and made hundreds of copies of themselves.
"Crap, this is worse than the rune knights!" Gray said with a scared face.
"I didn't get your name earlier sir, but doesn't your village have security?" Erza asked.
"An S rank criminal broke in during out exams. You want to take a guess at how effective it is?" Naruto asked making everyone groan. "Although I'm pretty sure they should notice this... nevermind there was that one time with Mizuki and Ebisu." he added.
"So how do we get out of this one?" Lucy asked nervously.
"You might as well give up now. You are helplessly surrounded." another one said.
"I could use some fire right now." Natsu said.
"Hey kid you wouldn't happen to be a dragon slayer would you?" Calcifer asked receiving a shocked look but a nod nonetheless. "Good! Open wide!" he said before blowing a gust of fire into his mouth.
"Gah it taste like old carrots!" Natsu whined.
"Now's a good time to useful charcoal breath." Gray said as he formed an ice dome around them.
After surviving a few elemental hits, Gray lowered the ice wall to let Natsu let it all out.
"Fire Dragon's Roar!" he yelled as he released a giant blast of fire that almost no fire jutsu could ever hope to match.
The magic attacked proved to be effective as most of the clones were destroyed by the single shot. However the party was far from over as armor clinging could be heard in the distance. From the looks of it, these were actual knights as in the stories Naruto was told about.

"Are these guys with you?" Naruto asked.
"Nope, we're screwed." Happy said.
"Wait I know some of them. They're knights from Liones." Elizabeth spoke up.
"Ok so some of them are definitely on our side." Lucy said optimistically.
"Ma'am do you think you can talk them down?" Erza asked.
"Why do you ask Ms. Erza?" Elizabeth asked.
Suddenly the knights from both sides were aiming their weapons at all of them, but Elizabeth, "No reason." Erza said sarcastically.
"Princess there you are! We've been looking all over for you." said one of the distraught knights.
"I'm fine, but will you please not harm my companions?" Elizabeth pleaded.
"I was just on my way to get ramen! Those freaks over there were the ones attacking us!" Naruto said as he pointed to the red haired shinobi who were about to leave only to be surrounded by a battalion of ANBU.
"Hey I've been craving ramen lately." Natsu said as he ignored the situation around him.
"There's a good ramen stand less than a half hour from here." Naruto replied making the dragon slayer grin.
Ignoring the idiots for a moment, Sarutobi made his appearance known along with Nawaki by his side. Both looked rather peeve, the former having a good reason knowing it involved his village while the latter didn't want his student to get into trouble.
"I allow you into my village. Give you a chance of redemption. Yet you repay my kindness by trying to abduct my own shinobi?" the sandaime asked as he leaked enough ki to remind everyone why he is kami no shinobi.
It was the red haired woman in the front who looked the most nervous, "I... I had no choice." she stuttered.
"Kushina, there's being ignorant and then there is stupidity!" he yelled.
That's when Nawaki approached, "I leave you alone for one day and you decide to find trouble?" he asked.
"Hey I just wanted ramen! I didn't want to get chased around by those psychos!" Naruto yelled.
"I also want ramen, but I did feel like starting a fight!" Natsu said only to be hit in the head by Lucy and Erza.
"Natsu that's not helping!" Erza yelled.
That's when possibly the shortest old man arrived with a white haired young woman right behind him, "What did you four get yourselves into now?" he asked.
The four turned to Naruto, "Again, I just wanted ramen." he said.
A blond female with green eyes from Camelot just sweat dropped, "I think we should put our weapons down." she told her fellow knights.
"Master Makarov, I can confirm that this is just a misunderstanding." Erza told the old man.
"It better be, we're not only representing Fairy Tail but Fiore as a whole." Makarov said with a sigh.
"There's going to be time for ramen after this right?" Happy asked with Natsu looking hopeful.

As the arguments continued, Naruto started to glow, "Uh Nawaki-sensei, I don't feel good." he said as the light started to surround him.
Nawaki just blinked twice as more people arrived. The kings of their respective kingdoms no less. Bartra Liones, Arthur Pendragon (Prototype Arthur), and King Toma all arrived to watch the spectacle.
"Sir Naruto! What is happening?" Elizabeth asked as she tried to reach out for him.
"Stay back Elizabeth!" Naruto said as he slowly started to fade away.
"Hey come on man, don't tell me your dying or something." Natsu said with a worried face.
"Hey sensei, I think the crystal is calling me or something." Naruto said before he disappeared.
"Naru-chan!" Kushina yelled out.
"Where did that boy go?" King Toma asked with a worried face.
Nawaki sighed as he looked around, "He completed his first mission as the Warrior of Light." he said surprising some of them. "Find the other warriors and unite once more." he finished.
Before anyone realized it, Natsu started to glow as well, "Hey this isn't funny. I don't wanna go either! You can't make me!" he said as he tried to avoid the light.
"Father!" Elizabeth called out.
"Elizabeth!" King Bartra tried to reach out for his daughter only for her to disappear as well. "My worst fears have come to life." he said.
"Lucy, Happy!" Natsu called out as he tried to reach for them.
"Natsu!" the whole team called out and tried to reach for him.
Only Lucy was able to grab onto his scarf before tears started to fall out, "Lucy, Natsu is coming back right?" the cat asked as tears were ready to fall.
Lucy's only response was to hold the cat close to her chest. Meanwhile King Arthur was confused seeing as only three people disappeared.
'Merlin said the prophecy foretold four Warriors of Light and one of them is a descendant of my father Uther.' Arthur thought in confusion before noticing one more light. The light soon surrounded the blond woman, 'Mordred? Impossible! If the prophecy is true then that means...'
"Father!" Mordred called out to him before disappearing as well.
"Here we go again." Nawaki said as the area remained shell shocked.

"Oh great now I want ramen." Mordred said.
"I wouldn't mind a serving myself. Can we visit that stall you mentioned Sir Naruto?" Elizabeth asked.
"That depends, what time is it?" Naruto asked.
"I think 4:30." Natsu answered.
"NOOOOOOO!" Naruto yelled.
"If you didn't want to take us. You don't have to freak out." Mordred said.
