AN I'm sorry it's taken over a month to upload a new chapter, I not only had a bit of writer's block, but I was starting to lose interest in the story, and I don't want that to happen, I really want to finish it, so, I decided to take a break, and hopefully that's helped get me back into the story. Not much happens in this chapter, the first part is taken place around the time Regulus is being taken from St. Mungo's; I hope you enjoy it.
Disclaimer: I don't OWN Harry Potter or Marvel.
Chapter 56: Family
Sirius turned the shower off, stepped out, grabbed a towel, tied it around his waist, and walked out of the washroom into his bedroom, only to jump startled when Loki teleported into the room right in front of him.
"Bloody hell," Sirius said, hand going to his heart, "Give a man a heart attack." Loki chuckled as Sirius walked around him and over to the large wardrobe they shared. "I told you not to do that."
"Forgive me, darling," Loki said, sounding amused, he sat his specter onto the sofa across from their bed, then sat down and started to remove his boots.
"So, did ole Lu Lu have any useful information this time," Sirius asked. Loki had just returned from a meeting with Lucius Malfoy, and Sirius hadn't accompanied him this time, because he had taken Regulus back to St. Mungo's, and stayed with him for a little while.
"Oh, he had plenty to say this time," Loki said, he glanced at the tattoo on Sirius's back and then scolded at the fact Sirius told him the other day, he was thinking of getting another one, he just hadn't decided what or where, Loki hoped he decided not to.
"Like what?" Sirius asked, deciding on a pair of checkered pajama bottoms, and a green t-shirt, he was certain belonged to Loki, but he was going to wear it anyway.
"Well, for one, whomever is killing werewolves, is believed to be after Fenrir Greyback, and Hydra has lost a few of their wolves," Loki said as Sirius slipped into the pajama bottoms and tossed the towel in a hamper.
"Good, I hope whoever it is gets that bastard," Sirius said, slipping Loki's t-shirt on over his head. "Do they have any clue who it is?"
"No, but there are rumors of a man in a white suit with a crescent moon on his chest," Loki said, Sirius raised his eyebrow. "He's rumored to be abnormally strong and has been said to have fought three werewolves at once."
"Sounds like a muggle superhero," Sirius replied, wondering if any of the Avengers would be familiar with the description.
"Sinthea Schmidt has gotten very protective of Brock Rumlow," Loki said, as he stood, and started unbuckling his armor. "She hardly lets him out of her sight, unless it's a full moon."
"Which means Rumlow must be one of Hydra's wolves," Sirius said, turning around to face Loki, he stood there with a thoughtful look on his face while he held on to the door of the wardrobe. "But why would Schmidt care, even if they have this weird thing going on….he's her Horcrux, isn't he?"
"Bingo," Loki said as he was trying to unbuckle one of his straps, but it was stuck and wouldn't come undone. "And according to our pal Lucius, Voldemort is her other Horcrux, it would seem, he's finally learned to eavesdrop on people….damn this stupid thing."
"Here let me," Sirius walked over to Loki and got the buckle unstuck, then moved to undo the next buckle.
"Isn't that my shirt?" Loki demanded, eyes narrowing at the shirt Sirius had put on.
"Yes," Sirius answered, he chuckled at the look Loki was giving him. "What? You never wear it." Loki rolled his eyes. "You need to learn to undress without magic."
"Hush," Loki said, sounding embarrassed. "I just forgot to magically change before teleporting in here, and that buckle usually doesn't get stuck."
"It still amazes me, that the runes even stop you from being able to perform magic in our room," Sirius said, removing the outer layers of Loki's armor. "There you should be able to take the rest off."
"Thank you, darling," Loki said, as Sirius laid his jacket and other pieces on the sofa next to his scepter, the poor god looked so embarrassed, Sirius didn't have it in him to tease Loki further. Asgardian armor was too complicated to put on and off, and Sirius had no idea how Loki could stand wearing it when Loki had magically put one of his old sets of armor on Sirius when they went to save Harry in the cemetery, the armor had annoyed the hell out of him, it was heavy and uncomfortable.
"You know, I didn't know a person could be a Horcrux," Sirius said, changing the subject. "Who would be willing to allow someone else to put a part of their soul in their body? That's just messed up."
"It's unnatural," Loki agreed, frowning in thought. "Of course, that means Rumlow must die before Schmidt can."
"That bastard shot Harry and murdered Cedric Diggory, killing him won't be a problem," Sirius said, a determined look on his face.
"I have been thinking, love," Loki said, "What if Schmidt is one of Voldmort's Horcruxes?"
"Do you think Voldemort would be willing to do that?" Sirius asked as he walked over and crawled into bed, Loki went over to their wardrobe and got out a pair of pajamas.
"Perhaps," Loki replied, removing the rest of his armor, and slipping into the pajama bottoms. "Of course, it would mean she is a new one, and Voldemort has one more Horcrux than we realized, but it's possible."
"And it'd mean she and Voldemort has to be killed at the same time." Sirius agreed. "So, we have to kill Rumlow, destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes, and then kill him and his sister at the same time."
"That last bit might be a little tricky, but I think we can manage it," Loki said, buttoning his pajama top. "We just have to make sure they are together when we kill them."
"We'll figure it out when the time comes," Sirius said, as Loki climbed into bed next to him and laid on his back. "You know, Voldemort is awfully close to that snake of his. Didn't Lucius say one day, he's extremely protective of it, and it's never out of his sight?"
"Are you saying it might be another Horcrux?" Loki asked.
"I am, and if he's willing to make his sister a Horcrux, then he might his little pet snake." Sirius said.
"It could be." Loki agreed, "We'll find a way to kill it, just in case."
"Beating Voldemort is getting more and more complicated." Sirius said, rubbing his face with his hands.
"Lucius also told me, that Voldemort sent Bellatrix and the Lastrange brothers on a mission, but he isn't sure where or what they are doing," Loki said.
"I feel bad for whomever he sent them after," Sirius mumbled, he was relieved that everyone he cared about was safe at the moment, even Regulus who wasn't at Grimmauld Place, was safe at St. Mungo's because no one besides them and the Avengers knew he was alive.
"As do I," Loki said. Sirius yawned, rolled over on his side, and put his arm around Loki's waist.
"Goodnight, Reigny,"
"Goodnight, love."
The following morning first thing Sirius saw when he opened his eyes was Loki lying next to him on his back, one arm up over his head the other hanging over the side of the bed, he had one leg bent, with his knee lying on Sirius's hip. Loki snorted in his sleep, then started snoring quietly, causing Sirius to laugh, he would have to tease Loki about it later, though he knew Loki would deny making such undignified noises in his sleep. Smiling to himself, Sirius rolled over on his back, and just laid there thinking about everything that's happened lately, the last few years, despite Voldemort's return have been some of the happiest years in Sirius' life, first, he escaped Azkaban, then his Reigny came back to him, they got their son back, the Ministry finally declared Sirius innocent, and just when Harry started calling him dad, and he didn't think things could get any better Regulus turned up alive, and they were patching up their relationship.
Loki moved his leg from Sirius and turned on his side facing him, Sirius turned his head and watched him, but Loki didn't wake, so he glanced at the clock on the wall to see it was fifteen after eight, he probably should get up, he needed to cook breakfast, before everyone started getting up. In a couple of hours, he'll be visiting Regulus. Sirius carefully rolled over sat up and ran his hand through his tangled hair.
Sirius glanced back at Loki, and smiled a little, and then his smile dropped, the bad thing about Sirius being so happy now, was how quickly his happiness could be taken away from him…again. He looked at his Snitch tattoo and frowned deeply, he wasn't worried about being locked up anymore, he could just escape again, his bigger worry was losing his family, Voldemort wanted anyone against him dead, and that met everyone Sirius cared about, his cousin and her family, Remus, and especially Harry, if Voldemort found out Regulus was alive, he'd be on the top of Voldemort's hit list, where Harry has been ever since he was born at the end of July, and Voldemort isn't the only one, Sirius had to worry about when it came to his brother, if the Ministry found out Regulus was alive, they'd want to lock him up for his past dealings as a Death Eater, there was no way in hell Sirius would allow that to happen, any of it, so, they best keep that from them too, until Loki becomes Minister at least.
Sirius looked at his other tattoo, the one with Loki's symbol in the middle of the shield, Sirius didn't have to worry about Voldemort or the Ministry when it came to Loki, he could take either of them easily, heck at the same time even, but that didn't mean Sirius didn't have to worry about Loki, there was still the slight threat of that Thanos character coming to find him, to kill him, and Sirius' heart ached at just the thought, even if it made Loki mad, Sirius planned on talking to Thor about this Thanos arsehole once Voldemort and his sister were dead, see if Thor could go to Asgard and get that gatekeeper bloke to locate him, and they can come up with a way to kill that bastard before he does decide to come after Loki, that is if Thor ever returns. Sirius would protect Loki the best he could himself of course, but Loki has told him all about Thanos, and from the way it sounds, Sirius wouldn't stand a chance against him, but he'd die to protect Loki if it came down to it.
"You alright, darling?" Loki suddenly asked, making Sirius jump startled a little, then he turned around to see Loki watching him, apparently, he wasn't as asleep as Sirius thought, or he just woke up one.
"Yeah…yeah. I'm fine," Sirius said, tuning in the bed and leaning against the headboard. "Just thinking."
"You're not thinking." Loki accused, "No, what you are doing is worrying, I can see it all over your face."
"Yeah, well, there's a lot to worry about," Sirius replied. Loki sat up and also leaned against the headboard.
"We aren't losing our son," Loki said, "we will win this war." Sirius looked at Loki a moment, then moved closer to him, and put his head on Loki's shoulder.
"I don't want to lose you either," Sirius mumbled, trying not to think about how everyone he loved was in danger in some form or another.
"Me?" Loki grinned, "Of course, you're not losing me; Odin himself couldn't tear us apart."
"Yeah, yeah, okay, sorry, I guess I'm just in a mood this morning," Sirius replied. Loki laughed.
"I can see that," Loki replied, Sirius didn't reply, he just sat there with his head on Loki's shoulder a moment longer, before rising up.
"We probably should head downstairs, everyone will start getting up soon, and I'll have to fix breakfast," Sirius said.
"You go on down, I want a shower first," Loki replied, giving Sirius a quick kiss, before turning away from him and getting out of bed, then headed into the washroom and closed the door.
Sirius sighed, what he really needed right now was a drink, something stronger than muggle beer, something that would put him out for a while, to stop his happy thoughts from turning to worry, like they always do, but after that one week where he stayed depressed and drunk, Sirius promised Loki, he wouldn't drink a lot of Fire Whiskey or drink like that again, it had worried Loki because Sirius did have a slight alcohol problem when he was younger, every time he worried about something, or needed to forget something for a while he'd grab a bottle of Fire Whiskey and drank until he passed out, so, he tried to keep drinking wizard alcohol beverages to once in a while, and only one glass, and just drink muggle beer instead, since it wasn't strong enough to knock out a wizard, especially one as powerful as him, and it was too early to start drinking anyway, so, best not try to sneak a drink right now.
Sirius stood and went over to his wardrobe to find something to wear. He chose black jeans and a long-sleeved red shirt, and when dressed, he put on his socks and boots since he planned on leaving in a few hours; then Sirius ran a brush through his hair and left the bedroom; he noticed Harry's light was on, so he walked across the landing and knocked on his door, then opened and peeped in.
"Hey, kiddo, how long have you been up?" Sirius asked, Harry was already dressed and had his hair pulled back in a ponytail, he was sitting in the middle of his bed, with his cloak lying across his lap, on the bed were pieces of black material, a sewing kit, and a book. Harry was cutting a shape out of the material.
"For a while, I'm not sure," Harry replied, "It was still dark out."
"Did you get any sleep last night?" Sirius asked. Harry was doing better since Sirius took him into the Room of Requirement and had him break glass plates and figures, but there were times he still had nightmares, and recently he confessed that his scar hurt him at times, and sometimes he could feel whatever Voldemort was feeling, Loki had tried to block the connection again, but it didn't work.
"Some," Harry replied, he finished cutting a piece out of the material, sat it aside, and went back to cutting more shapes out.
"Was it nightmares or-" Sirius trailed off as Harry tapped his scar with his finger.
"I'm still not having visions, but my scar, it was burning last night, Voldemort was happy about something, I could feel his emotions, he felt gleeful." Harry said, "I think…I think he was torturing someone."
"I'm sorry you have to experience that, kiddo," Sirius said as he went over to Harry, and put his arm around his shoulders. "I can't imagine how horrible that is." They were silent a moment. "I'm going down to make breakfast, it'll be ready in about thirty minutes."
"Alright," Harry said, and Sirius hugged him before letting Harry go, he watched as Harry sat the material aside, got out a needle and thread, and started sewing the shapes on his cloak.
"What's…with the sewing?" Sirius asked, Harry paused as he stuck the needle through the cloak.
"I had this idea, I wanted to see if it worked," Harry replied, going back to his sewing. "I'll explain when I'm done."
"Well, alright, I'll leave you to it then." Sirius said, Harry didn't reply, so Sirius decided to leave him to, whatever the hell he was doing, left the room, and closed the door behind him. Sirius headed down the hall, he only made it a few feet then paused when a door to his left opened, and Natasha came out, Sirius grinned, that was not Natasha's room she just walked out of, and Remus walking out behind her was further proof Natasha had not spent the night alone.
"Well…well..well." Sirius joked, "What do I see here?" Remus groaned, apparently Sirius catching them sneaking out of his bedroom together was the last thing he wanted.
"Padfoot, don't," Remus warned, but Sirius ignored him and grinned at Natasha as he walked up to them.
"Natty, what is this I see," Sirius demanded. "Did you spend the night with our resident werewolf?" Natasha glared at Sirius.
"Don't call me that." Remus said, "and we just-"
"That's none of your business, Black," Natasha said, speaking over Remus, Sirius just kept grinning at her.
"All we did was talk," Remus said, his face turning a little red.
"Talk?" Sirius demanded, raising his eyebrow.
"Yes, we fell asleep talking last night -"
"Remus, you don't have to explain anything to him, it's our business," Natasha said, crossing her arms.
"Hey, come on guys, I'm only joking," Sirius said, "But seriously, whether or not you two, did anything other than talk last night, are you two now….together?"
"Sirius." Remus narrowed his eyes at him, though he didn't look mad, just the opposite, he looked happy, and Sirius' grin grew. "Like, Nat, said it's none of your business."
Sirius winked at Remus, then turned to Natasha with his infamous cocky grin. "Welcome to the family, Natty."
"Family?" Natasha asked, "I hardly count as family."
"Nonsense," Sirius said, throwing his arm around Natasha's shoulders and leading her toward the stairs, Remus following behind them. You couldn't have too many people you considered family, and if Natasha and Remus' relationship lasted, she would definitely be family to Sirius. He just needed to not think of that one time they had together, or it could get weird.
"I don't think your brother would agree that I'm family," Natasha said, "I don't think he likes me very much."
"Regulus never likes anyone," Remus said.
"You just have to give Reggie some time to get to know you." Sirius said," he'll learn to tolerate you."
"Gee, thanks," Natasha said, as Sirius let her go, and they continued their journey into the kitchen, when he entered Loki's owl Thori hooted at him from his place perched on top of the wardrobe. Natasha sat at the table, as Remus went to the tea kettle, and took it to the sink to fill with water. Sirius went to the refrigerator and got out the bacon and eggs, and walked over to the stove where Remus was now setting the kettle on it, Sirius glanced back at Natasha, then nudged Remus, who glared at him, and Sirius nodded his head towards Natasha.
"She's American." he whispered then nodded toward the coffee maker, "I believe she prefers coffee."
"She's Russian actually." Remus whispered, and Sirius raised his eyebrow, while Remus went over to the coffee maker and started making a pot of coffee, smiling to himself, Sirius turned to the stove and started cooking bacon.
Sirius had just finished the bacon, and was sitting it on the table when the door opened and Andromeda and Ted entered. They all greeted morning to each other, while Andromeda got a cup of tea, and Ted went straight to the coffee, ten minutes later Tonks came dragging herself into the kitchen, yawning.
"It's way too early to be up," Tonks complained, sitting down at the table, and putting her head down. "Is there any tea? Someone please get me some."
"If you don't want to be up, then why did you get up?" Sirius demanded as he grabbed a mug out of the cabinet to make Tonks a cup of tea.
"I have to be at work in an hour," Tonks mumbled, as Sirius carried the tea to her, sat it down on the table, then went back over to the stove, and put eggs on a plate for each one of his family members, then waved his hand, and the plates floated themselves over to the table and sat in front of each person, with three sitting in front of chairs for him, Loki and Harry, then Sirius waved his hand again, and a drawer opened and silverware floated out, and over to the table and placed themselves next to each plate.
"You're such a show-off, Padfoot," Remus said, as they passed the plate of bacon around, so everyone could put some on their plates, then Andromeda put the last few pieces in Sirius, Loki, and Harry's plates.
"Can someone go tell Harry and Reigny breakfast is ready?" Sirius asked as he went to the refrigerator and got out a pitcher of pumpkin juice, and a pitcher of orange juice, (Natasha didn't like pumpkin juice) and carried them over to the table, then waved his hand again, and glasses floated out of the cabinet over to the table.
Before anyone could do what Sirius asked, the kitchen door opened, and Loki walked in wearing black slacks and a grey jumper; he walked over to the table and sat down. Thori flew down from the wardrobe and perched on the back of Loki's chair, and hooted loudly, Loki smiled and handed him a piece of bacon.
"You spoil that owl too much," Sirius said, pouring everyone but Natasha a glass of pumpkin juice.
"Is there any tea?" Loki asked, handing Thori another piece of bacon, while Sirius now poured Natasha a glass of orange juice.
"Yeah, I'll get you a cup," Sirius said, handing Natasha the glass of orange juice, then went over to the stove to make Loki a cup of tea.
"You can even make a jumper look stylish," Tonks said, "You and I need to go shopping together sometime, you can help me pick out clothes."
"That actually sounds like fun," Loki said, "We'll do that."
"Mum, you can come along if you want," Tonks said, "Nat, you can too, it'll be fun."
"I think I'll pass." Natasha said, "Aren't we in the middle of a war?"
"Being in a war doesn't mean we can't have a bit of fun," Loki said, "besides, we aren't talking about going right this minute."
"Yeah, well, I've never been much of a shopper," Natasha said, as Sirius walked over and sat Loki's tea next to his plate.
"Thank you, love," Loki said, picking up the mug and taking a ship, that's when Sirius noticed the jumper Loki was wearing.
"Isn't that my jumper?" Sirius demanded, his eyes narrowed.
"Yes," Loki said, taking a sip of tea, he smirked at the look Sirius was giving him. "What? You never wear it."
"Funny," Sirius said, rolling his eyes. "Did you see, Harry on your way down?"
"No, but I heard him moving around in his room when I passed by, sounded like he opened his window," Loki said, as he sat his mug down, and picked up his fork.
"But, it's winter, why would he want his window open?" Tonks asked.
"He's half Frost Giant remember?" Sirius said, heading towards the door, "Harry doesn't get cold, his room probably got too stuffy for him or something."
Sirius exited the kitchen and walked up the basement steps, and to the entryway, over to the bottom of the stairs, put one foot on the bottom step, and then looked up toward the stairs, and yelled.
"Harry, come on, kiddo, breakfast is ready."
"Dad!" Harry called out, a few moments later he appeared at the top of the stairs, and Sirius immediately felt concern and confusion coming from him.
"You alright?" Sirius asked.
"Yeah…no. I don't know." Harry said, "Just come here a moment, please."
Feeling a bit confused, Sirius started walking up the stairs Harry turned and headed back to his room when Sirius entered, Harry was standing by the door, looking at something lying on his bed, then he pointed toward it.
"An owl I didn't recognize just brought that in my window, and I don't recognize the handwriting on the front," Harry said. Sirius narrowed his eyes until he realized Harry was pointing to a green and silver envelope lying on his bed.
"So, you don't know who sent it?" Sirius asked, stepping over to the bed, and frowning down at the envelope it was addressed to Harry Black, not Harry Potter, in a script that was vaguely familiar to Sirius.
"No one I know would call me Harry Black," Harry replied, "I didn't want to touch it, in case it was a portkey or cursed."
Sirius looked at Harry concerned; he hated that his son was still traumatized from the events in the cemetery; no fifteen-year-old should have to worry that an anonymous letter sent to them is a portkey to whisk him off to a mad wizard out to kill him. Though Sirius was glad Harry came to him instead of trying to read the letter himself, just in case it was curse or something.
"You did the right thing coming to me" Sirius said, "It's probably just fan mail, but I'm glad you didn't open it yourself, just in case."
"I've never gotten fan mail," Harry replied, "besides, fans would address it to Harry Potter."
Sirius turned back to the letter and waved his hand over it, his magic flowed out of his palm as he whispered a magic detection spell, but he didn't detect anything.
"The letter is safe," Sirius said, picking it up and turning it over to see it sealed shut with the Black family crest.
"That's the family crest isn't it?" Harry asked, he had moved closer to Sirius and was looking at the letter. "Who would write to me using it?"
"No one you'll want to reply to," Sirius said, breaking the seal, and slowly removing the letter, then looked at Harry. "I know your uncle isn't writing you from St. Mungo's, he knows not to use our family crest, besides, St. Mungo's doesn't have owls for patients to use."
"I don't have a good feeling about that letter," Harry said, glancing at it nervously.
"Neither do I, kiddo," Sirius said as he tossed the envelope on the bed, then unfolded the letter, which was written in the same vaguely familiar handwriting that was on the front of the envelope.
Harry Black,
I would say welcome to the family, but you're really not, just another blood traitor like your father, who thought he could get away with keeping Regulus a secret. Well, we found out about him, and he is now with us, though, he's not looking in the best of shape at the moment, not sure how many more torture curses he can take from the Dark Lord. Never knew my cousin could scream so loud. If you wish to see your uncle alive ever again, meet me in the Hall of Prophecy in the Department of Ministries, at Midnight, come alone, don't show this letter to anyone, and don't tell anyone or Regulus is dead, do as instructed and get the prophecy about you and the Dark Lord off the shelf, and we might be able to make a trade.
Sincerely, Bellatrix Lestrange.
Sirius felt himself shake as he sat on Harry's bed, and read the letter again, it had to be some sick joke. How the hell would Voldemort and his goons know Regulus was alive? They tried to be so careful with him, keeping his identity a secret; Dumbledore and the Order didn't even know yet, someone at St. Mungo's must be in cohorts with them, it's the only way, they could find out, and now his baby brother was in the hands of Voldemort, being tortured.
"That bitch!" Sirius shouted, jumping up, he punched the front of Harry's wardrobe so hard it put a small dent in the door, and Harry jumped back in shock, and watched Sirius wide-eyed, as he dropped the letter and sat back down on the bed, and put his face hands and mumbled death threats to Bellatrix Lestrange under his breath.
"Dad," Harry said, "Dad…what is it? What's in the letter?"
Sirius barely heard his son's voice in his mumbling, and he couldn't feel the pain in his right hand now through his anger.
"Dad, please, calm down." Harry pleaded he sounded frightened. "Dad…Sirius…" When Sirius didn't answer, Harry glanced around the room, then turned and ran out of the door, yelling for his Mother, and instantly Loki appeared in front of him, looking worried, then relieved to see Harry looked to be alright.
"What is it?" Loki demanded as everyone else that was in the kitchen came running up the stairs, wands out, looking ready to fight.
"It's Dad, I got an anonymous letter, and he read it because I was afraid it was a portkey," Harry explained, "I don't know what was in it, but he's upset, I've never seen him so mad."
Sirius could hear the conversation outside Harry's door, but he couldn't bring himself to come out of his own little world to speak. Loki hurried into Harry's room, with everyone following behind him, they paused just in the door, but Loki went right to Sirius, and kneeled on the floor in front of him.
"Darling?" Loki questioned, reaching up and removing Sirius's hands from his face, causing Sirius to flinch in pain, Loki frowned as he noticed Sirius' right hand was swollen. "How did you hurt your hand?"
"He punched my wardrobe," Harry answered when Sirius didn't, and Loki held his hand between his and started healing it.
"My love," Loki said, "look at me, please." Sirius did, and Loki was a little startled to see a little yellow in Sirius's eyes like he was fighting to keep his magic from lashing out. "What has you so upset?"
"And what's with the floating furniture?" Tonks asked, Sirius glanced over towards the door to see everyone, but Loki standing there looking at him.
"What?" Sirius demanded, he blinked a few times, then looked around the room, most of Harry's furniture was floating in the air. "Damn, I didn't realize I was doing that."
"Careful putting the furniture down, you don't want it to crash through the floor." Andromeda cautioned, Sirius nodded and Loki let go of his hand, and he gently sat the furniture on the floor.
"Now, will you explain to us what happened?" Loki asked, "Harry said he got an anonymous letter, that has upset you."
Sirius looked down at the letter lying on the floor, and Loki picked it up and read it.
"Damn it." Loki now understood why Sirius was so upset put his arm around Sirius' shoulder and pulled him to him trying to comfort him, as the others watched confused.
"What is it?" Andromeda demanded, walking over and Loki handed her the letter, she read it. "Oh, dear Merlin, Bellatrix has Regulus."
"What?" Tonks demanded, hurrying over and taken the letter.
Hearing it spoken out loud made it feel more real to Sirius, and he needed something to lash out at, he wanted that something to be Bellatrix, he wanted to kill that bitch. The letter mentioned Regulus getting tortured, he could almost imagine his screams, and it filled him with more anger, and magic started flowing from his fingertips.
"Darling, you need to stay calm," Loki whispered. "You might hurt someone, just take a couple of deep breaths." Sirius did as Loki said, and the magic disappeared and Loki signed in relief.
"How did they even find out Regulus is alive" Remus wondered.
"And why did Lestrange send a letter telling Harry?" Natasha demanded. "Why not send it to Sirius?"
"She wants Harry to come to the Ministry and trade the prophecy for Regulus," Andromeda explained.
"The hell he will," Tonks said, "We'll all go, ambush the bitch and take Reg back."
"Nymphadora." Andromeda chaisted.
"What? She took Reg, we can't let her have the prophecy to give to You-Know-Who, so we have to fight to get your cousin back." Tonks said. "And sorry, mum, but your sister is a bitch."
"I know just watch your language," Andromeda said.
"Darling," Loki said, rubbing Sirius' back. "We'll save your brother and make them pay for taking him."
"We'll all help, we just have to come up with a plan," Remus said, as Harry slowly walked over to them.
"I'm sorry, Dad if it wasn't for that damn prophecy Regulus wouldn't have been taken," Harry said, feeling calmer, Sirius stood, and pulled Harry into a hug.
"It's not your fault, kiddo, " Sirius said, he let go of Harry, and looked at the others, "Thanks, for offering to help." He turned back to Harry…"and sorry about-" he motioned toward the wardrobe.
"It's okay, I didn't like that door anyway," Harry said, causing Sirius to laugh, and then he felt bad laughing when his brother might be getting tortured at that very moment.
"So, what's the plan?" Tonks asked.
"Well, first, I think I should go to St. Mungo's and make sure this letter is telling the truth," Ted said.
"Good idea, Ted," Andromeda said, "While you're there find out how a Death Eater who's supposed to be in Azkaban was able to just walk into the hospital and kidnap a patient."
"I'll do that," Ted said, he killed Andromeda in the temple, patted Tonks on the shoulder, then left the room.
"I probably should owl the ministry and tell them there's a family emergency and I can't come in today." Tonks said.
"You can use Thori if you wish." Loki offered, and Tonks nodded, and left the room.
"When does Bellatrix want to make this trade?" Remus asked.
"Midnight," Sirius answered, running his hand through his hair.
"The letter said Bellatrix wanted Harry to show up to trade the prophecy for Regulus," Loki said, giving Sirius a meaningful look. "So, I think we should do as she asked."
"What? You're joking, right?" Andromeda demanded. "Harry can't -"
"No, I'll do it," Harry spoke up.
"Harry, that's not a good idea," Natasha said, "What if Voldemort or Schmidt show up?"
Remus agreed with the others, but Sirius locked eyes with Loki, and a grin formed on his face.
"I think it's a brilliant idea." Sirius said, "The letter did say Bellatrix wants Harry to make the trade, let's give her what she wants."
AN: Loki was able to teleport into Sirius and his room because he was doing the magic before entering, the moment he teleports into it, he can't teleport out if that makes sense, the runes work against his magic because they are really ancient, and were invented when wizard and witches magic was more like Loki's then it is now.
I have the next chapter already done, just need to go over it a few times, probably be up in a few days to a week.
I think one of the reasons I was starting to lose interest was because it's taken so long to get through the Harry Potter part of the story, which I'll end soon, I want to move on, and the squeal will be MCU plot, one or two storylines.
