AN: Not much to put here except a warning of violence, and Greyback gets a little weird or creepy, just thought I should let you know. Other then that I hope you enjoy the chapter.:

Chapter 57: Brothers VS Brothers.

"Your suffering should end soon, Black," Rodolophus said as he paced back and forth in front of Regulus, who was leaning up against a shelf full of glass orbs in the Hall of Prophecy in the Department of Mysteries; it was nearly midnight, and they were all waiting for Harry to show up. "That is if your little nephew is brave enough to show up."

"Or cares enough." Rabastan put in, and him and Rodolphus laughed.

"Fuck you," Regulus spat, and he saw Rabastan's hand tighten on his wand as he craved to curse Regulus.

"Oh, now, there is no need for such colorful language, my friend," Rodolphus said, and Regulus glared at him. He doubted there was a part of his body that wasn't in pain; everything from the cut on his face to the broken wrist he was holding close to him, even his legs and feet hurt. Regulus had lost count of how many times he had been under the torture curse since last night; frankly, Regulus was surprised he was still conscious.

"I'm not your friend, you bastard," Regulus said. He was using the language his older brother was fond of using. Even when being cursed by their Mother, Sirius would run his mouth, using the words their mother hated. Regulus didn't know rather or not he'd make it out of tonight alive, there was a chance he was going to die, and if this were his last day on earth, if Regulus finally got out of that cave, only to die a few weeks later, then Regulus will be damned if he was going to sit here and take it, he had no idea what happened to his wand so, he couldn't fight back, and decided to take a page out of Sirius' book, and run his mouth to the very end, at least then he wouldn't be just taking it. Show no fear, as Regulus once heard Sirius say. You can't give anyone the satisfaction of knowing they scare you, even if they do, and surprisingly, at the moment, Regulus did not fear those who held him captive; either he was going to die, or he wasn't. He preferred the latter, but he didn't fear the former.

Regulus reached up and felt his cheek; he could feel dry blood caked on it, and it finally stopped bleeding sometime between last night and this morning, whenever Voldemort had finally stopped cursing him. Regulus scowled. No way it wasn't going to leave a scar. He dropped his hand and moved around a little, trying to get comfortable, or at least as close to being comfortable as he could get. He hated being in this dark room; the many selves were making Regulus feel closed in, and the amount of light was the same as was in the cave, not dark, but not as bright as a room should be. Regulus guessed he should be thankful for that since he didn't have his sunglasses to protect his eyes from bright light, but this room was making him feel like he was in that cave again; he didn't like it. Regulus moved again and reached up and ran a hand through his hair and made a frustrated noise.

"Stop moving," Rabastan demanded; he stepped over and jammed his wand at Regulus' head. "One more move, and they'll be one less pure-blood wizard in the world."

"Go ahead, kill me," Regulus snarled, "My brother will make sure you die a slow and painful death."

"Oh, but what could your brother do to me?" Greyback asked. He stepped over, grabbed a handful of Regulus's hair, and jerked his head back, then took his long claw-like fingernail, raked it across Regulus's dry blood, then stuck his finger in his mouth and sucked on it while he winked. "Mmm, tasty, like I always knew you'd be; the pretty ones always taste the best."

Regulus jerked out of Greyback's hold. "Keep your hands off me, you filthy half-breed."

Okay, so maybe some of the things Regulus was saying Sirius wouldn't say. He knew Sirius would never say filthy half-breed due to his close friendship with Remus Lupin, but Regulus was using what he knew. He was afraid, not for himself, but for Harry. He understood the kid didn't care much for him, but he'd heard the stories of his time at Hogwarts. Sirius had told him about how Harry seemed to have this need to save people, to protect them, even when he didn't know or like them, a trait Sirius was worried was going to get Harry hurt or, worse, killed. Regulus did not doubt the stories he heard were true. Then, there was a slight risk of Harry rushing in to try to save him, even if his nephew didn't like him. He'd do it for Sirius, if anyone. The few times Regulus has gotten to see them together, he could tell Sirius and Harry were close; it was a bit ironic, as he never pictured Sirius as the parent type, let alone a good one, but Sirius was; he was a good father, ten times better than their father had been.

"It's now midnight. He's not coming," Rabastan said. Every so often, he would declare that Harry wasn't coming, so they should go ahead and let him kill Regulus; he was still mad about Regulus cursing him, but Regulus didn't care, and he hoped Harry didn't show, even if it cost Regulus his life, he didn't think Sirius would be able to handle it if anything happened to his son. Regulus could tell, just by how Sirius looked at him, that his brother cared a lot about Harry; he was Sirius' pride, and he'd do anything for him, and if he got killed, Sirius would be completely devastated.

"You don't know that," Bellatrix said, "you need to be patient; give Potter time to discover Black missing and my note; my owl.

"Did you even remember to send the owl?" Rabastan demanded.

"Of course I did." Bellatrix snapped. She sounded as if she was on the verge of becoming mad, and knowing his cousin, she likely was.

"Be patient; these things take time." Rodolphus said, "For all we know, Potter could just be waiting for his chance to sneak away from mummy and daddy."

"What will we do if mummy and daddy come with him?" Rabastan demanded.

"What's this, Rabastan?" Bellatrix teased. "Are you afraid of Sirius Black?"

"I'm not afraid of anyone," Rabastan snapped, "If he shows up, I'll personally hurt him, but we are here to get the prophecy the Dark Lord wants; fighting can cause it to get broken."

"That won't happen," Rodolphus said, "And if they come, so what? We will greatly outnumber them."

"But whatever you do, do not kill Sirius Black," Rookwood warned, "The Dark Lord has promised the Dark Lady she can kill him, and she is looking forward to that opportunity."

Regulus felt sick to his stomach; he briefly met Sinthea Schmidt last night, and she was crazy; there was no way in hell he'd allow her to kill his brother; Regulus would see her dead first.

"He's not coming," Rabastan said, "Let me go ahead and kill Regulus Black."

"No," Rodolphus said, "You know he can't be dead if we want to get our hands on the prophecy."

"I hear someone coming," Greyback said; everyone fell silent as he listened. "Yeah, I hear…light footsteps coming from that direction; it must be Potter. Do you think the Dark Lord would mind if I took a bite of him, just a little one? I won't kill him."

"You're not going anywhere near my nephew, " Regulus said.

Greyback, Avery, Yalexy, and Macnair were the only ones here who weren't one of the Death Eaters that had broken out of Azkaban, and Regulus truly wished Greyback wasn't here. The very sight of him made Regulus want to vomit. He never could stomach being around the werewolf, unlike Lupin, who at least acted human and bathed and brushed his teeth, which was a lot more he could say about Greyback, who had stuff stuck in his blood-stained teeth that looked like skin, wore filthy cloths and always smelt of blood and sweat; his very voice made Regulus' skin crawl. Greyback has always acted creepy around Regulus, trying to sniff him and talking about how sweet his blood would taste. Greyback was a sick bastard who mainly targeted children, and when Regulus joined the Death Eaters, he was a teenager, which made him a target for Greyback. Still, unlike Greyback's other victims, he didn't seem to want to kill Regulus or turn him into a werewolf; no, he had some weird fascination with Regulus, one that made him want to crawl someone and hide, and after all these years thinking him dead, didn't deter Greyback's fascination with him, it seemed to make it worse. At least back in the day, Bellatrix kept Greyback away from him. Unfortunately, she hated him now and couldn't care less what Greyback did.

"If Potter refuses to hand over the prophecy or tries anything, you may have a little bite." Rodolphus said, "As long as you leave him alive and we get the prophecy, the Dark Lord won't care."

"You touch my nephew. I'll kill you myself," Regulus growled, which only made Greyback laugh, and he patted Regulus's head, who glared at him and thought to himself he hoped the footsteps he heard were not Harry's.

"It's him, Potter...I see him." Yalexy said, and Regulus' heart dropped; of all the times for Harry to act like a stupid kid, he had to choose now; well, Harry wasn't dying tonight, and Sirius wasn't going to lose his son, not for Regulus or anyone else, he was going to see to that.

"You're late," Bellatrix growled as Harry stepped into view; he turned to her with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm here. It does not matter if I'm late," Harry replied. "Where's Regulus? I take nothing from that shelf until I see him alive."

Rodolphus snapped his fingers, and Greyback grabbed Regulus by the hair and roughly dragged him across the floor into the light. Then, while keeping his eyes on Harry, Greyback tilted Regulus' head, bent over, and licked the blood on Regulus' cheek; he jerked out of Greyback's hold and wiped his cheek while trying not to gag. Harry held out his arm as if he was holding an invisible person back, while he looked at Greyback with a look of pure degust on his face. Then turned from Greyback and glared at Bellatrix.

"If you want that prophecy, you'll get that filthy beast away from Regulus, or I will not be responsible for what happens to him," Harry said in a voice that held authority. Bellatrix glared at Harry and Rodolphus snapped his fingers again.

"Greyback," he said, and Greyback walked over and stood by Rodolphus, and Harry dropped his arm.

"Now, I'm turning around and getting the prophecy; if anyone touches Regulus or tries to attack me, I will personally rip you limb from limb," Harry said.

"Aw, baby, Black thinks he sounds tough, but deep down, the baby is frightened," Bellatrix taunted, but Harry showed no fear whatsoever, and the looks he kept giving the Death Eaters were frightening.

"Just grab the prophecy, and no one will do anything," Rodolphus said, "but if you try anything, Greyback here will have a snack."

Greyback licked his lips as he lured at Harry, who shot him a glare that even sent shivers down Regulus' spine, then turned around, looking at the shelf, searching for the correct prophecy, then he reached out and lifted one off a shelf and turned around and held it up.

"Good, now hand the prophecy to me," Rodolpus said, holding out his hand and taking a step, but Harry suddenly held it away from him while holding his other hand up.

"Just a moment," Harry said, "How do I know you will not kill Regulus the moment I set this in your hand? You let Regulus come over here first."

"I think not." Rookwood cried, "You could smash it once you have Black back."

"Seems like we have a problem then. I do not trust you to give you the prophecy first, and you don't trust me to give me Regulus first," Harry said; he tossed the orb in the air, caught it, and then tossed it again. "Whatever should we do?"

"Don't do that; you'll drop it," Bellatrix shouted, taking a step forward, but stopped when Harry began to toss the orb back and forth in his hands.

"Do I look as if I care?" Harry demanded, "You see, I do not care about this little glass orb; prophecies are rubbish anyway; your Dark Lord is a fool to believe the ramblings of some lunatic who claims to see the future."

"You dare!" Bellatrix screamed. "You dare besmirch the name of the Dark Lord, you filthy blood traitor." Bellatrix tried to charge Harry, but Rodolphus caught her and pushed her back.

"No, you will break the prophecy," he snapped; he turned to Harry, pulled out his wand, and pointed it at him. "I have pretty good reflexes. Do you want to take the chance that I can curse you and use magic to catch the prophecy before it hits the ground?"

"Go ahead, curse me, I dare you," Harry said, and Rodolphus turned his wand from Harry and pointed it at Regulus, and Harry did that thing again where he held out his arm as if trying to stop someone from attacking Rodolphus.

"Unless you want to hear your uncle scream in pain, you'll hand that orb to me," Rodolphus said.

"Come on, kid, don't be an idiot," Yaxely said. Harry didn't even acknowledge him; he just kept glaring at Rodolphus.

"You curse Regulus, and you'll be dead," Harry said.

"You think you can hurt me?" Rodolphus laughed.

"Oh, I didn't say I'd be the one to hurt you," Harry replied.

"Can I bite him now?" Greyback said, "Just one little taste."

"Ugh, degusting creature," Harry mumbled, making a face, causing Regulus to smile a little.

"Kid, you are alone and outnumbered," Rabastan said. "Stop playing around, hand over the prophecy, and you won't get hurt." Harry looked at Rabastan unimpressed and made no move to hand over the glass arb.

"Just give us the prophecy," Greyback growled, and Harry turned to him, a smirk that looked out of place formmed on Harry's face.

"You want this?" he held up the prophecy. "Since you're Voldemort's little pet, go fetch it, doggy."

Harry pretended to throw the orb, but Regulus was the only one to realize he faked it. The Death Eaters turned around as if waiting for the orb to fall, and then Rabastan realized what he had done and jammed his wand in Regulus' temple; again, Harry held his arm out like he was preventing some invisible person from attacking Rabastan.

"I've had enough of your games; I'm getting annoyed. I will kill your uncle unless you hand over that orb…..NOW!" Rabastan screamed while Greyback stepped closer to Harry, and Regulus suddenly feared for his nephew.

"Harry," Regulus said. Harry turned him. "I appreciate you showing up for me, but I'm not worth it…just get out of here before you get hurt."

"Aww, isn't that sweet?" Bellatrix laughed, "Baby cousin loves his little nephew."

"No one will get hurt as long as he hands over the prophecy." Rookwood spoke up, "Potter, hand over the prophecy, and then you can have Regulus; we'll leave, and you two can go home, injury-free, or well, you will be injury-free. If not, your uncle is dead."

"Fine." Harry said, "Just do not hurt Regulus…and here, it's yours." He tossed the orb at Rodolphus, who tried to catch it, but it slipped from his hands and slammed on the floor. Rodolphus' eyes widened for a moment until the orb bounced back up, and he caught it and made a face.

"This isn't it," He shouted, and he was right. The thing Harry threw at Rodolpus wasn't the prophecy or even a glass orb; Harry must have somehow, without anyone noticing, switched it because the thing Rodolphus now held in his hand was a small rubber ball that was blue with a picture of Thor on it, Rodolphus gave the ball a degusted look. He growled in anger and pointed his wand at Regulus.

"Where is the prophecy?" Bellatrix yelled. Enraged Harry just shrugged with a smirk.

"It was taken out earlier today, sent off, I know not where," Harry replied, grinning; the Death Eaters stared at Harry in disbelief.

"You were warned, kid," Rodolphus said, "Now face the consequences, "

He snapped his fingers again, and Greyback let out a roar and charged at Regulus, who threw up his one good arm, trying to protect himself. There was a growl, and before Greyback could reach him, a large black dog came out of nowhere, tackled Greyback to the ground, and snapped at his face with large pointy canines, and Harry chuckled.

"You'll have to excuse him; he can be quite protective of those he loves," Harry said. "I never said anything about being alone. And I haven't been a kid in over a thousand years." He held up his hand and looked at Rodolphus. "I can snap, too."

Harry snapped his figures and a shimmer of green magic rimpled across the room, suddenly, the shelves of orbs faded away, turning into shelves up on shelves full of old boxes, stacks of books, parchment paper, and scrolls, then green surrounded Regulus and he disappeared, then reappeared behind Harry, who was no longer there, instead it was Loki standing where Harry had been, and he wasn't the only one there either, Andromeda, Nymphadora, Ted, and Lupin was standing on either side of Loki, then the large black dog, got off Greyback, and stood at Regulus' side, then to Regulus surprise turned into Sirius.

"Surprise," Loki said, grinning, and the Death Eaters began to mumble and stir, and if Regulus didn't know any better, he'd say they were scared, and maybe they were; in the back of the room, he saw Mulciber back up slowly, then turn and flee.

"It's him, the man that attacked the muggle city." Dolohov said. Loki laughed as Sirius bent down and helped Regulus to his feet, then checked him over.

"Are you alright, Reggie?" Sirius demanded, "What's wrong with your arm?"

"Wrist broke," Regulus said, "Since when were you an animagus?"

"Since I was fifteen," Sirius replied, "it's a long story….I don't guess you have your wand on you." Regulus shook his head. "I thought not." Sirius pulled his wand out of his pocket and handed it to him. "That's only to defend yourself, don't get involved in the fighting. You are injured."

"Really?" Rabastan demanded with a laugh. "You think the five of you can take on all of us?"

"No," Loki replied, "I know we can."

"If you want to curse a couple of Death Eaters, go ahead, but you stay here next to Reigny. He'll protect you," Sirius whispered to Regulus. Before he could protest about not needing protection, Sirius stepped in front of him, holding up his hand, with black and yellow magic flowing from his fingertips, and the others, all but Loki, who stayed by Regulus' side, stepped up next Sirius, wands pointed towards the Death Eaters.

"GET THEM!" Bellatrix yelled, and the Death Eaters started casting spells or jinxes at them; Andromeda, Nymphhodra, Ted, and Lupin either blocked the spells or returned ones of their own. Sirius used wandless magic to cast spells at the Death Eaters. Bellatrix cast a curse toward Sirius, but Andromeda blocked it, and the two sisters started dueling one another, casting whatever spell or jinx they could think of at each other. Some hit, some didn't, both moving so fast it was hard to tell who was casting what. All Regulus could see were spells flying; Andromeda and Bellatrix were evenly matched. The only difference was Bellatrix was using worse spells than Andromeda.

Regulus heard a growl and turned to see Lupin fighting with Greyback; he looked almost feral as he shockingly was holding his own against the other werewolf. Neither using a wand, but fists and claws, and even teeth as Greyback bit into Lupin's arm, which caused Lupin to snarl as he punched Greyback so hard he stumbled back, then fell over, out cold, Lupin then pulled his wand back out of his pocket and started dueling another Death Eater, and Regulus turned his attention to his cousin's daughter; Nymphodara was taken out Death Eaters pretty quickly by tying them up or stunning them, then moving on to the next. He glanced back at Sirius, who ducked a spell tossed at him by Dolohov; he straightened back up and looked Dolohov in the eyes.

"Fight, Macniar," Sirius said, his eyes glowing yellow. Dolohov turned and started cursing at Macniar, who, though looked confused, turned and started cursing back, and the two Death Eaters started dueling, and Sirius turned to Rookwood.

"Are we not going to get involved?" Regulus asked. Sirius's duel with Rookwood didn't last long. Once he had Rookwood in ropes, he turned and started dueling Jugson who kept missing because Sirius was able to either block duck or dodge out of the way of Jugson's spells.

"If they need help, I'll help from here," Loki replied; then, to prove his point, he tossed magic at Travers, who was winning a duel with Ted Tonks. "You, on the other hand, Sirius wishes you to stay by me."

"I'm not helpless, you know," Regulus replied, cursing Avery, who was dueling Nymphadora, he froze up and fell over on his back.

"No, I guess not," Loki replied, tossing out more magic, "You have to forgive Sirius; he just wants to protect you. He feels as if he failed you before, and he'd doing everything he can not for that to happen again."

"I know," Regulus said, signing in frustration. "But, he makes me feel like he thinks I'm helpless and can't do anything for myself; I'm just as good as him in duels."

Loki looked at Regulus with a frown; he could relate to that statement. Loki knew how aggravating it could be having your older brother be protective of you and treat you like you were still a kid. To try and stop you from engaging in battle because the stupid blonde oaf never thought Loki was as good of a warrior as him.

"Yeah, my brother does the same thing," Loki said. Regulus looked at him, and Loki turned his body toward him, reached out, gently took hold of Regulus' arm, and held his other hand over Regulus' wrist. Green magic flowed from his fingertips, healing Regulus' broken wrist; he pulled it back from Loki and moved it around, a surprised look on his face.

"Thanks."

"Just don't get killed; Sirius will never forgive me," Loki said. Regulus looked at Loki; their eyes locked onto each other, and a bit of understanding went between them. But while neither was paying attention to the battle in front of them, they missed Sirius taking down Macnair, a second later Bellatrix cast a spell at Andromeda, which hit her on the chest, and her eyes rolled back, and she crumbled to the floor, then Bellatrix turned to Sirius, and pointed her wand at his back.

"Curico."

Regulus and Loki turned at the sound of Sirius' scream, and the sight of his brother writhing in pain on the floor caused Regulus to flinch. But before he could hex Bellatrix in anger, Loki let out an almost snake-like hiss, with a look of rage forming on his face, and he sent a ball of green magic at her, sending Bellatrix flying back.

"You're going to pay for that," Loki growled, and he left Regulus' side and headed towards Bellatrix; as she climbed to her feet, she took one look at Loki heading towards her and started throwing curses and hexes at him, which did not affect the god of mischief. Bellatrix began to back up, Regulus turned from them and hurried to his brother's side.

"Are you alright, Siri?" Regulus asked, helping Sirius to sit up.

"I'm fine, kid, shouldn't you be.." he looked toward Loki, stalking after Bellatrix, "So, she's the coward that cursed me from behind, I figured."

Before Regulus could answer, Bellatrix sent one last curse at Loki, yelped when it still did nothing to him, then turned and fled the room, and Rodolphus ran forward, pointing his wand at Loki's back.

"Stay away from my wife," he yelled, but before he could send out a curse, Sirius held out his hand and whispered.

"Crucio,"

Rodolphus' scream cut through the air as he dropped to the ground, shaking and moaning in pain. His brother Rabastan pointed his wand at Sirius, but Regulus was quicker and sent Rabastan flying back with the knockback Jinx.

"Black!" Yaxley screamed, "You traitor!"

Yaxley pointed his wand at Regulus, who saw too late the green light coming towards him, but before it struck, Sirius shoved him out of the way and covered his body with his; the spell went over them and struck the self behind them, causing it to explode, books, parchment and scrolls going everyone, Sirius raised off Regulus, with an angry look on his face, he thrust out his hand.

"Avada Kedavra,"

Regulus watched in shock as the killing curse flew out of Sirius' hand and hit Yaxely on the chest; his body flew back into a shelf behind him, knocking it over; it hit the shelf behind it, causing a domino effect, as one shelf after another fell over, the sound of shelves, boxes and books hitting the floor echoed across the room as it shook, it seemed to go on forever, but in reality only took a few seconds, as everyone paused in shock at what just happened, and that seemed to be the end of most of the battle, what Death Eaters wasn't tied up or lying on the ground knocked out, fleed the room, all but two.

"You'll pay for that," Rodolphus yelled; he was back on his feet, and Regulus didn't know if he was talking about killing Yaxely or cursing Rodolphus, probably the latter as he pointed his wand at Sirius.

"Av-"

"Expelliarmus"

Regulus' spell disarmed Rodolphus' wand before he could finish the spell, and Sirius stood up and faced him.

"Hey, Black," Rabastan called out. Regulus turned to him; as he stood, his legs were not as steady as he would have liked, and his body ached, but he still stood next to his brother, ready to fight as Rodolphus picked up his wand, the two sets of brothers face each other, three with wands held out, one with magic flowing from his hands, Rodolphus and Rabastan looked towards Sirius, then each other and took off running.

"Come back, cowards," Regulus yelled, tightening his grip on Sirius' wand. He was tempted to curse them, but Sirius reached out and gripped his wrist.

"Stay here." He said. Regulus looked at him, confused.

"What?"

But Sirius wasn't listening; he started walking in the direction the Lestrange brothers went.

"Keep watch over those bastards. I'll be back," Sirius called to the others as they watched him take off running toward the exit.

"Padfoot," Remus called after him, "Wait, it could be a trap."

That got Regulus out of his shock, and he took off after his brother, ignoring Ted (who was tending to Andromeda) calling his name. He caught up with Sirius just outside the room; he heard Regulus running behind him and turned around, ready to curse him but relaxed when he saw Regulus.

"I told you to stay back," Sirius said.

"I'm not letting you fight the Lestranges alone," Regulus said. But before Sirius could reply, there was laughter, and the two turned around to see Rodolphus and Rabastan walk out of the shadows, wands raised.

"Such sweet brotherly love," Rabastan said, "Makes me feel sick."

"Now that it's just you two and us, let's see what the Black brothers can do," Rodolphus said, tightening his grip on his wand.

Sirius and Regulus looked at each other and nodded before turning back to the Lestrange brothers; Regulus raised Sirius' wand while Sirius got into a fighting petition with magic flowing from one hand.

"Alright," Sirius said, "show us what you Lestranges can do."

"Cruico,"

Rodolphus cast the curse at Sirius, only for him to block it and get Rodolphus with a curse of his own, causing boils to break out everywhere on Rodolphus. The duel between brothers began, Sirius battling Rodolphus and Regulus battling Rabanstan, all four wizards moving so fast, their spells were just a blur, one casting at the other, one blocking another, then throwing a curse back at the caster, only for their spell to be blocked as well. Regulus and Rabastan were nearly evenly matched, or at least were, with Regulus not being at full strength. With his focus on his duel, all the aches and pains Regulus felt seemed to fad, or at least be pushed to the back of his mind, far enough that it allowed him to put up a damn good fight.

Sirius had the upper hand on Rodolphus, being both more talented and more powerful. Rodolphus was barely able to use a curse or jinx, having to try and block all the spells, jinxes, curses, and hexes coming from Sirius; he was so quick that Rodolphus barely saw the first spell coming before Sirius cast a second one.

"Sectumsempra."

Regulus blocked Rabastan's curse, then came back with one of his own; it hit Rabastan's arm, cutting through the sleeve of his robes and slicing his arm open. Rabastan cried out and then aimed a torture curse at Regulus. He blocked it, then hit Rabastan on the shoulder with a hex that sent a burning sensation through Rabastan's body. He bit his lip to stop crying out, then sent a stinging hex at Regulus that hit his hand, nearly causing him to drop his wand.

"Liberacorpus"

Regulus felt himself turn upside down as he was raised in the air by Rabastan's spell. Regulus felt sick and dizzy from being upside down, but he ignored it as he sent a hex at Rabanstan that caught the bottom of his robes on fire. He yelped and lifted the spell to put it out, and Regulus crashed onto the hard floor.

"For a light wizard, you sure use a lot of dark magic." Rodolphus taunted Sirius as he sent a bone-breaking jinx at him; Sirius was able to sense it was coming and sidestepped it and sent Sectumsempra at Rodolphus, cutting him open just under his collar bone. The dark wizard was covered in bruises, cuts, and boils, thanks to Sirius' quick, handy work, and because of his empathy ability, he was able to block or dodge everything Rodolphus threw at him; as they dueled, he tried to keep an eye on Regulus, but it was a little hard to while staying focus on his duel, Rodolphus Lestrange's abilities was nothing to laugh at, he was quick and talented, and Sirius would have a more challenging time trying to beat him if it wasn't for being able to sense what Rodoplohus was about to do next.

Sirius didn't have to worry about Regulus, even though he was tiring quickly from not having fully recovered from his time in a cave, on top of being tortured all night and now being a bit dizzy from being upside down, he was still able to climb to his feet and continued to duel Rabastan by the time he put the fire on his robes out.

"Crucio."

Regulus blocked the curse with a Shield Charm, then threw one back at Rabastan, which only made him cry out in pain. He did not fall to the ground and wither in pain, which surprised Regulus enough it caught him off guard. Rabastan got him in the right arm (he was left-handed) with a bone-breaking jinx, and Regulus cried out, grabbing his arm.

"Avad-"

"Expelliarmus," Regulus' disarming spell hit Rabastan before he could finish his killing curse, and Rabastan's wand flew out of his hand, then-"Flipoendo."

Rabastan was thrown back about five feet with the Knockback Jinx, and Regulus walked over to him with Sirius' wand still pointed out; when he made it to him, Rabastan was rising, but Regulus sat his foot on Rabastan's chest and used it to shove him down, while he pointed Sirius' wand in his face.

"Stay put," Regulus ordered, he was a bit out of breath, "You lost."

"You have his mark." Rabastan taunted, "You have the mark of the Dark Lord; you're one of us, you always were and always will be."

"I was never one of you," Regulus said.

Rabastan's reply was cut off by Rodolphus landing next to him as Sirius walked up and copied Regulus by putting his foot on Rodolphus' chest.

"You both lost," Sirius said, "you fucked with the wrong family, my family; let it be known that Regulus Black, Harry Potter, Remus Lupin, Andromeda, Nymphodora, and Ted Tonks, along with Natasha Romanoff are family of mine, if anyone even raises a wand to them, you'll have me to answer to."

"And me." Regulus said, "We are the Black family now, and you don't want to fuck with us,"

"Yeah, what Reggie said," Sirius said, and the two looked at each other and grinned.

Rabastan and Rodolphus took advantage of the Black Brothers' distraction and shoved their foot off them, causing both to stumble back. Then, the Lestrange brothers jumped to their feet and ran off. Sirius raised his hand, about to throw magic at them, but Regulus stopped him.

"Let them go." he said, "they can give Cousin Bella our message."

"If she's even still alive," Sirius snorted, and Regulus figured since Loki was the one chasing after her, it was a possibility she wasn't.

"Anyone who will listen then," Regulus said.

"Alright, but next time we fight them, we kill them," Sirius vowed, and Regulus looked at him.

"You're not a light wizard anymore, are you?" Regulus asked; Sirius glanced his way. "That's what's different about you."

"I don't think I ever was," Sirius said, "Not completely, at least." he frowned when Regulus stumbled and put his hand on his back to study him; now that the excitement of his duel was dying down, all the pains and aches were returning. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, just worn out and a little dizzy," Regulus said, "Merlin, I can't wait until I get my full strength back."

"Come on, let's go back to the others and get the hell out of here," Sirius said, waving his hand and two wands, one belonging to Rodolphus and one belonging to Rabastan, flew into his hand, and the two brothers turned and started heading back toward the Hall of Prophecies.

"I wonder how the Dark Lord will get them replaced for Rodolphus and Rabastan," Regulus said, holding his arm to his chest as Sirius kept his arm around him.

"He probably won't," Sirius replied, "As some kind of punishment for their failure to take us out."

"Yeah, yeah, you're probably right." Regulus said, "I can't wait to get out of the Department of Mysteries; it's too cave-like for my taste."

"It's too creepy down here for me," Sirius replied.

"Speaking of creepy, do you think Loki-":

"Hey, Reigny isn't creepy." Sirius interrupted, and Regulus laughed.

"No, but he can be scary," Regulus replied, and Sirius laughed that time and didn't deny it because it was true. "Anyway, think he'll fix my broken arm for me again?"

"Reigny will probably be annoyed you got it broken again, but he'll fix it for you, especially if I ask him," Sirius said.

"Then I'll let you ask him," Regulus said, and Sirius let out a bark of laughter as he opened a door and allowed Regulus to step through first.

A.N: Loki had Sirius and the others concealed in magic so they didn't see them, and yes, it was Sirius Loki had to keep holding back. And the prophecy room changing, and where the real prophecy went will be explained in another chapter. The Thor ball was something found at Grimmauld Place and Loki took it with him to make the illusion that it was the orb.
