An island of the coast of Hi no Kuni
A middle aged blond man with an angled chin stood at the front of a large castle like structure on an island. The castle itself stood at the top of a large hill on the island near the edge of a cliff leading straight down to the ocean. It was a very questionable design and one that was discouraged. Yet the rich individuals who set up the castle clearly envisioned good aesthetics over safety. At least they were concerned enough to add some safety precautions to avoid letting some fool fall to their death.
Despite the position of the island, there was little to no chance of a title wave. Along with security good enough to push back pirates and a large mercenary force wish negative intentions. In that sense, the man waiting outside with his many armed guards watched as a trio left a boat that arrived on the island.
The blond man had a pompous look on his face and looked at his guests. He see a strange man with a jackal mask on his head, another man with a strange black helmet and young man in fine expensive robes approach.
"Greetings Seki-dono, I am Genki Masashi, I am pleased to be welcomed onto your island." The young man said.
Seki smiled, "And as you should. Now tell me Genki-san, what interests are you looking into? We have many products with various purposes." he asked.
"I'm looking for a guard dog. One that's reliable and understanding of it's position of it's hierarchy. A one time payment is also good compared to a glorified thug or a stiff veteran." Genki explained.
Seki nodded, "Yes, I think we have a wide selection for you. Please, follow me inside along with your servants." he said.
Genki nodded as his entourage followed him inside. All the while Seki stroked his oddly shaped chin. Though it was less likely he could earn more money through this exchange. At least his client would not be very annoying or demanding, in fact he enjoyed "Genki" more than other brats. Most tend to be annoying and very impatient with their demands.
Seki's daughter Komane is no different as she physically and verbally abuses her servants and anyone who bothers her in general. It was a real pain, a pain in the wallet to change servants.
Inside the castle
Genki looked around curiously, "Seki-dono, if you don't mind my asking. Where does such a lovely structure come from? They don't make such nice palaces in my generation. It's all about price tags over beauty in my family." he asked.
Seki thought it over, "The price tag still matters Genki-san, however the design itself is worth it. Luckily with many with a common interest, various outside parties have chosen to donate to my business." he explained.
"I see, then I'll have to put my quest for a good architect on hold for now." Genki replied as his entourage studied the design of the structure.
The walk through the castle stopped once Seki lead the trio into a room with fine furniture and a view of the ocean.
"Please wait here Genki-san, my representatives will arrive with a catalog to match your desires shortly." Seki said before excusing himself and his guards.
Genki sat down and sighed, "That man and my fake personality were annoying." he said. "Did anything seem out of place?" he asked his entourage.
"Too many paintings of nature. That price tag comment was too spot on." the man with the black helmet said.
"I assume design was the first thought before anything complex was made." the man with the jackal mask said as he looked around the room. "I doubt there are any spies able to see or hear our conversation." he added.
Genki proceeded to undress from his regal attire. Revealing a black skintight shirt with no sleeves and thin black pants. The young man then proceeded to put on a leathery black robe with a hood that could obscure his face. The man in the jackal mask then started to open up a briefcase and pulled out a few cards and some cross shaped knives that Genki took.
"Onto the mission already, Lord Naruto?" the jackal masked man asked.
The boy, actually named Naruto, nodded as he lifted up his hood, "I don't want to exhaust myself with useless ramblings. Drew, you take over and Vanitas, contact me if things stray from the plan." he said.
Drew nodded back, "Understood my lord." he said before Naruto jumped into the ventilation.
"I want to be a part of the excitement." Vanitas said before hearing a knock on the door.
"Answer that, I will create the clone to impersonate "Genki"." Drew said as Vanitas answered the door.
Where a man with a monocle and a stereotypical wealthy person look came in with a large book. He hardly acknowledged Vanitas as a person and thought of him as a brute. Already assuming that he was the bodyguard of the "client" who had arrived.
"Hello Genki-dono, I will be assisting you in deciding which commodity interests you." the man said.
Drew's Shadow clone in the shape of "Genki" had nodded, "Do go on good sir." he said as the man smiled.
"Here are some of our recommendations." the man with the catalog said.
Drew peered over his clones shoulder and saw various photos of slaves. All of whom looked slightly injured, but with looks of ferocity. All looking like they were ready to rip off the heads of whoever pisses them off.
"A colorful bunch, I say." Drew said as he peered over the clone's shoulder.
"Now then, any specific few that interest you?" the man asked.
The clone then responded, "What about Subject D? I heard a rumor about such a creature" he said.
"Oh? Well, I wouldn't say that would fit your specifications." the man replied nervously.
"By all means, please explain. Just to help me explore my options for I do not want to spare any expense." the clone said as the man conceded.
"That may take a moment, Subject D is a rare specimen. Very valuable in the market too, I might add." the man said as he conceded to the client's wishes.
With Naruto
After a brief while of moving around the ventilation. Naruto found himself going through the path leading to the maintenance room. Where he then started to look for a map to help him create a layout of the castle. Seeing as it takes a lot of manpower to keep this place clean and fixed. There is no doubt that there's a map or a chart of some amount of detail to help guide Naruto in some way.
After a quick look around the area. Naruto did find some various manuals and instructions. Naruto was lucky that they outlined the entire ventilation of the various castle floors. It wasn't as detailed as to the directions where someone would go on foot, but mainly where each maintenance room is and where their vents are connected.
"It will have to do." Naruto said before finding a prisoner hold. "Maybe that's where Subject D and the other slaves are." he said before pocketing the maps.
Naruto then used a henge to dress like an ordinary engineer. Where he looked for the exit and started to wonder around the halls as he attempted to look for the prison. It would probably be easier to just go through the vents, but Naruto felt like there was less risk causing a commotion. There's also the chance that the vents could collapse as not all of them may handle a teenager's average weight and break. That and some might be too narrow for him to move through.
Though it did take a frustrating amount of time to actually find the area. When he did, Naruto stumbled onto a pair of guards and their captain who could be recognized by his shoulder cape. A really lame one that served no purpose really, other than to say "I'm better than you" to his subordinates.
"What needs fixing?" one of the guards asked while noticing the disguise.
"The power generator." Naruto answered.
"There's no power generator in this room." the same guard replied.
Naruto put his fists on his hip, "Well someone told me there was a damaged power generator and that it was recently installed." he said.
"Who ordered that?" the guard asked.
"Juzo from downstairs." Naruto answered.
"That does sound like Juzo, forgetting the layout." the guard said as if this is not the first mix up with maintenance. "You know what? Taichou, do you think we should get a power generator installed?" he asked his leader.
The captain nodded, "Yeah, I don't see why not. This place already feels dimly lit." he said as he signaled his team to form up. "Stay put engineer-san, we're getting a power generator for you to put together." he said as they all left.
"Also don't let out any, if not all of the prisoners!" another guard said.
"He knows that! Why would you waste time to mention it!?" the captain asked sounding irate.
Naruto sweat dropped as they left. He stood there for two minutes in case they came back. Seeing as they weren't, he quickly locked the door and placed a chair against the doorknob. Naruto then released his henge and grabbed his the keys he saw hanging on the wall. He then walked towards a large barred gate and proceeded to unlock it. Being cautious as to not stir whoever was locked away. Naruto found the room mostly empty aside from a couple of prisoners.
Though he was surprised by who was locked up. He saw an unconscious man who sleeping on the ground snoring with the smell of disgusting smell of alcohol on him. Along with a woman who was chained up to the wall who hasn't noticed his presence. Naruto then started to look around for the slaves he was trying to free only to have some idea as to what confused him.
'Damn, I knew this area lacked security. Maybe this prison is meant for unruly guests like that drunk.' Naruto thought as he could still hear the man snoring.
Naruto's thoughts were interrupted as he heard the sounds of chains. He turned his head and saw the woman was pleading for his attention but could not say anything due to a cloth wrapped around her mouth. With her hands being bound to a chain over her head, that left her unable to remove it. Naruto took a risk and proceeded to remove the cloth and heard the woman gasp as if she had a hard time breathing.
"Thank you." the woman said with a slightly raspy voice.
"I thought this was the prison for the slaves being put on auction." Naruto asked.
"I will explain later, do you have any water?" the woman asked with pleading eyes.
Naruto left her side only for a moment to retrieve a small jug filled with water. Where he then gently helped the woman quench her thirst. She then nodded in appreciation.
"Thank you again, I am Juno by the way." the woman said introducing herself. "As for the slaves, they're in a more secure area underground. That's where they're moved either for auction or for the underground fight pits." she explained.
Naruto nodded, "Thank you for the information." He said before feeling curious. "Though why are you locked away?" he asked.
Juno glared at the exit, "I was merely being social. When one of those old rich hags accused me of bewitching their husbands and sons. It's not my fault they are bored and need someone like me to add interest to their lives." she explained.
Naruto sweat dropped, "I think that's enough information for now." he said as he started to free her of the chains. "Though you may want to lay low for a while." he said.
"Won't you help me? I am great at communication, but I don't have infiltration skills like you." Juno said with some worry.
"I'm sure you can fool a guard or a servant into finding you a boat off of the island." Naruto responded as he released Juno.
Juno didn't like that, while she would more than likely fool someone into letting her stowaway. There's also the chance that her involvement in seducing the wealthy men in this castle had become public. With the fact that she was arrested in public and forcibly silenced as to not "bewitch" the guards as well. There was little doubt that Juno could talk her way out to freedom. She wasn't exactly a fighter or built to infiltrate like Naruto.
"How about a trade? I have been here for a week before my unjustly imprisonment." Juno asked.
"And what would I want from you?" Naruto asked as he started leaving the cell.
Juno smirked as she stepped into the light. Leaving her dim cell, Juno revealed her beautiful appearance and lovely body. She brushed her curled brown hair to the side and gave Naruto a look of confidence. While taking a pose in hopes of convincing him with her luscious body which most of it was exposed due to her white toga.
"Other than helping a lady in need. I have learned quite a bit, such as the exact location of the slaves, their treasury room and a few of the barracks where the guards are. I think I know the whole castle's layout like the back of my hand." Juno explained with confidence. "Except for maybe some restricted areas." she added.
Naruto looked suspicious, "Define restricted." he said.
Juno rolled her eyes, "You know, Senki's private quarters, meeting rooms and wherever the ships filled with slaves and money enter. Though the last one is just an assumption seeing as the main dock is only for guests and I haven't learned about any other ports on the island." She explained.
Naruto nodded, "Then you're going to help me find those slaves" he said before using henge to turn into a guard.
"You are a shinobi? I suppose that explains the lack of guards right now." Juno said.
"I don't want anyone being suspicious if they see you walking out with a stranger and not a guard." Naruto points out.
Juno sighed, "True. Let's get on with it then." she said as Naruto started tying her hands behind her back.
Though he made the knot somewhat loose, "Just tug on this rope and the rope will come loose. It's until we arrive at the slaves prison or in case the real guards start chasing us." he said as Juno nodded.
Juno sighed as Naruto started escorting her out of the prison, "Such is a chore for a woman of my beauty and elegance." she said.
"Don't worry Juno-san, you're more attractive now that you're assisting me." Naruto said and somehow Juno felt slightly better. 'Still, hopefully Drew and Vanitas are keeping the others distracted. Then there's Hinata and her partner.' he thought.
With Hinata Hyuga
The Hyuga heiress gazed around the common room of the castle. Where all of the nobles were chatting and enjoying themselves as great food was being served along with fine alcohol. Her partner, a dark haired boy with a black jacket, was currently distracted with the puffy shrimp at one table.
"Kirito, focus on the task at hand." Hinata said.
"I am milady, so far it's a lot of stiffs and old people talking about all of the expensive stuff they bought." Kirito whispered.
Hinata looked like she didn't care, "At least try to look fancy like you say. They can tell you are just a child with your behavior." she whispered back.
Kirito bowed his head, "Then would you like to offer some advice, lavender-hime?" he asked with a wink.
"Avoid nicknames for starters, but do remember titles. Someone will be either confused by the mixups or for giving them a less than stellar nickname." Hinata warned.
Kirito groaned, "That's it, if I become a daimyo or something. Every noble is just going to be called "Mitch" from then on." he said when a servant spoke up.
"Ladies and gentlemen! The entertainment is about to begin! Do make haste, but be careful of your footing!" the servant announced.
"Let's go." Hinata told her partner.
Kirito nodded before discreetly pocketing some shrimp into his satchel. When he was finished, he accidentally bumped into a woman wearing bright red lipstick and long black hair.
"Excuse yourself you lesser mongrel." the woman said with a sneer. "Especially around a princess such as myself. Even if you are my father's guest, I demand satisfaction." she said.
Kirito internally cringed as his ears felt like bleeding from hearing such a shrill voice. It didn't help that this woman had a less than plain appearance with the attitude and elegance of an alligator. Yet, Kirito had to treat her like any other high ranking noble. Rather than being blunt and telling her off. So he bowed his head.
"A thousand apologies hime-sama, though I do feel some pleasure. I never expected to run into the daughter of Senki-sama. Surely, I thought I had gone blind from watching someone so elegant." Kirito said while wanting to vomit.
The woman's glare faltered, "Very well, I suppose it cannot be helped. However, you best watch your footing. The other nobles are not as fair I, Komane-hime." she said as she left.
Kirito could see that she also stuffed food in her purse. So the black haired boy's face contorted into one of disgust.
"Now I lost my appetite." Kirito murmured.
Regardless, he made his way to where Hinata was after stumbling through the crowd. Luckily, she didn't give him much of a hard time. As they took their seats and watched as the handler walked into the middle.
"Ladies and gents, allow me to welcome you all to a battle of the beasts. When you see how ferocious these mongrels are, your enemies will beg for your forgiveness. Though, that doesn't mean they're that cheap." the handler said. "Effective, but expensive. Nothing too unreasonable right?" he asked.
Though most of the older folk really didn't want to throw money away carelessly, they do believe a high price tag means high quality. A little aspect that Kirito and Hinata did not really like. As they saw various creatures never seen before or catalogued in any nature book. All of which were trapped in cages.
"Before we start the auctions, let's get our blood pumping! All bets are now open!" the handler announced.
"Is Subject D one of them?" Kirito asked as he pointed at the cages.
"Possibly, we'll have to wait and see." Hinata said as she doubted that her dojutsu would help determine which one is their target.
Back with Naruto
As Naruto continued to follow Juno towards the slaves. He kept his guard up and listened closely for any information that the servants or guards might leak out. All he could hear was that they were starting the fights between the slaves and other animals soon in an arena.
"Know anything about that?" Naruto whispered.
"Some people want to feel an adrenaline rush from enjoying the savage acts of violence." Juno explained. "Still, we have plenty of time. The wealthy take this as a good time to gamble as there aren't any casinos or card games. Originally, I thought this island would be more of a resort." she added.
"Seems pretty boring to go this far for an auction." Naruto said.
"It's more secured that way." Juno replied.
That's when Juno made a sharp turn. Where she looked between two distinct paths. On leading down the prison for the slaves and potentially other dangerous animals. With one corner leading to a barracks or guard station where the local security will change up their shifts. Juno explained both of these and the two continued their movements when they heard the guards walking towards them.
"Hey, where are you taking that woman?" one of the guards asked Naruto.
"To lock up." Naruto said as Juno looked concerned.
"With the merchandise?" the guard asked suspiciously.
"That's what I was told. This troublemaker is here to uh, you know. Reimburse her kind host for her ungrateful attitude." Naruto said pretending to show hostility to Juno.
Juno decided to play along and pretended to try and run away. Where Naruto grabbed her by the shoulders and held her in place.
"It was a misunderstanding! I do not like these dirty jokes!" Juno exclaimed.
"Wait a minute, I remember you." the guard said to Juno. "You were trying to dig through the pockets of the rich senile men by using your silver tongue." he said with a chuckle.
Juno glared at the man as she continued to look like she was struggling.
"I can see that you might be worth a good amount of gold, forget the ryo." the guard said. "I won't question the boss, but keep a tight hold on her. She might slip away." he said.
Then the other guard spoke up, "Wasn't she ordered to be silenced? Because of a bloodline she has?" he asked.
"That's just a rumor, but still young pretty women are persuasive." The guard said as he grabbed Juno's chin.
"Unhand me pig!" Juno said as she broke away from the guard.
"Keep her silent when you go in there. Don't let her disturb her temporary roommates." the second guard said.
"Or you can stuff her in the treasury room. Claim her as a finder's fee if you like a woman with a mouth." the first guard said as a joke.
"You little!" Juno tried to say before Naruto covered her mouth with his hand.
"I'll follow your advice." Naruto said as he dragged Juno inside.
Once inside, he let go of Juno who proceeded to release the rope knot. The tanned beauty cursed under her breath as she rubbed her wrists. She found really didn't like the fact that she had deep marks from being restrained in that cell for too long. Naruto ignored Juno's anger at being disrespected by the guards as he looked around.
"There are quite a few cells." Naruto said as he heard something growl at him. "I assume dinner is not a priority." he added as he started moving.
"Are you planning on releasing all of them?" Juno asked with some hesitance.
"At the very least, I want to release a particular one." Naruto said as he moved deep into slave area.
Juno looked back at the doors before reluctantly following Naruto. She didn't want to risk being caught by the guards if they assume she got herself loose. As the two crossed paths with various animals of various rarity and even ferocity. Naruto stopped and pointed at a pair of large doors.
"Is that one is special?" Naruto asked.
"Depends on the labeling. It's too dark for me to see here and I fear that one of these mongrels will grab my leg." Juno said as Naruto flicked his fingers and created a flame between his fingers. "Much better, though this place is still a mess. I can safely recognize the labelling." She said as she saw a crest on the door.
"Is this really a way to stay organized or is it a sign of pride for the pompous bastard?" Naruto asked.
"A little bit of both. Senki assumed that labelling would be good but too bland. It does help with security, but not for those with a bad sense of direction." Juno explained as she grabbed the handle. Only for it to burn her hand, "That little man! He must have hired a competent fuinjutsu artist." she said.
Naruto gently grabbed her hand, before Juno could ask anything. Naruto proceeded to pour a green liquid on her hand. Juno shivered as the liquid felt too slimy. Before she could object, Naruto cleaned off the little bit of liquid and revealed a clean pure hand.
"Allow me, Juno-san." Naruto said as he started working on the seals.
All the while Juno started to look at her wound. She's burned herself before and she already noticed how quick the skin had been damaged. Only finding herself surprised by mystery that envelopes her new companion.
"That reminds me, it's not another cell if you were thinking that. It's a…" Juno tried to say before hearing several swords being drawn.
"Who are you? There's no guests allowed here!" one of the thugs inside said.
"Those aren't standard guards." Juno said while feeling sick from the stench of cheap alcohol.
"I can see." Naruto said as he drew his cross shaped knives.
"Get them!" One of the thugs yelled before finding a knife thrown at his neck.
Naruto suddenly ran up to the dying man and ripped out his weapon. Where he then proceeded to avoid the various sloppy attacks. Being careful as to not collide with any of the clumsy thugs with no concept of teamwork. Juno quickly ran behind cover and tried looking for a weapon. Only having herself feeling lost as she saw various treasures. Not just a few gold or even stacks of ryo. The treasures being various objects of great worth.
Juno smirked as she tried to plan this carefully. All while avoiding being attacked by the thugs guarding this room. Which Naruto seems to be handling.
'He's quite fast.' Juno thought as she saw Naruto quickly slice the neck of another thug.
As Naruto finished up the last thug with another precision stab to the neck. He proceeded to wipe away his knives and put them away in his robes. Where he then looked around and saw a large safe. Juno smiled as she shook her head.
"I know it's tempting, but we already have plenty of treasure here. I don't think it's worth the hassle or risk." Juno said as she wanted to play it more safe by this point.
Naruto proceeded to form a few hand seals, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" He said as he summoned a fairly large red Parrot?
"Hey what gives? Can't you see I'm in the middle of something?" the bird asked as he was wearing a towel and a shower cap.
"Time to work overtime Iago." Naruto said as he pointed at the giant safe.
Iago sighed, "Hold on." he said.
Before Juno could say anything, she heard the sounds of a buzzsaw, some hammers and what was probably a laser. Before hearing the giant metal door of the safe collapse.
"There, remember my finders fee since I helped." Iago said.
"How can I forget, when you're allowed to take 10 of any objects here?" Naruto asked with a grin.
Iago stopped dead in his tracks and embarced Naruto, "And that's why you're my favorite summoner! Such a saint!" he said as he grabbed a giant duffel bag. "I saw a diamond in there that was bigger than a watermelon!" he said excitedly.
Naruto then looked at Juno, "And I think you deserve some compensation. Didn't you say you were unjustly imprisoned? With poor conditions I might add." he said.
Juno grinned as she looked around, "I do think I'm entitled to quite a bit. Where have all the good gentlemen like yourself been for so long?" she asked as she traced her finger against his chest.
"A true gentlemen knows what a fine lady deserves." Naruto whispered into her ear.
Juno giggled, "Oh my, though would it be any more trouble for an escort away from this dreaded island? Surely I see no reason to return anymore." she asked.
"If you are willing to join me for dinner, I will make it post haste." Naruto said as he gently kissed her hand. "After all, a fine woman deserves as much." he said while sounding a bit flirtatious.
Juno gave Naruto a genuine smile, "You know how to intrigue a woman." she said.
Iago rolled his eyes, "Casanova, you might as well snap your fingers to make women fall for you." he said as he lugged the heavy diamond into his bag.
"You may want to stay here with Iago. I will return shortly after I finish my original mission." Naruto said as he started to walk away.
"Wait, you still haven't told me your name or your face. I at least want to know who I owe a debt of gratitude to." Juno said as Naruto stopped.
"It's Naruto." he answered.
"Fishcake? No, maelstrom." Juno murmured.
Iago sighed, "I should call the boys, we gotta start looting this whole place." he said realizing his massive workload.
Back with Hinata and Kirito
The two were already feeling sick of seeing slaves fighting with dangerous animals they have no chance against. Feeling this, Hinata suggested that they start moving into the background. To try and see where the slaves are being held in order to find their target. Though they would also be ecstatic to release everyone from captivity. So that as much is preferred.
"Where do you think Naruto is?" Kirito whispered.
"Likely already locating Subject D or at least getting a good understanding of the castle's layout." Hinata said as they disappeared into the shadows.
"He better be, I think they only have one fight left." Kirito said as they snuck past some of the guards.
Once they were out of the crowd's sight. They stumbled onto a platform that lead to another floor like an elevator. After looking around for a minute, the two activated the platform and started moving down.
"I guess this is where those cages come from." Kirito notes.
"And hopefully all of their "commodities" are kept in the same place." Hinata said as the platform stopped.
"This place seems pretty big." Kirito said as he saw the vast amount of cages they saw. "Are we going to be able to free all of them?" he asked.
"From the looks of it, most of them are just wild animals that have been imported and a few barbaric humans. Though I try not to play the game of morales or natural selection." Hinata explained as she activated her dojutsu.
"Oh man, this is going to be a real pain to think about." Kirito said.
"And I see Naruto now." Hinata said as she lead the way.
Where they found their friend slowly breaking various locks and seals on a big cage. Before they could say anything, they saw a large red newt that was chained down to the ground with a muzzle. Where Naruto proceeded to rip off the restraints.
"A new master or another fight?" the newt asked.
"Neither, I'm releasing you from captivity." Naruto said as he removed the last chain that held down his limbs.
"Naruto." Hinata called out.
"Oh good, right on time you two." Naruto said as they saw the newt.
The lizard like creature proceeded to revert into a human. Likely no older than 8 or 9 years upon inspection. Naruto gently picked up the child as they walked out of the giant cage that held him.
"How long have they been keeping him here?" Hinata asked with worry.
"Too long." Naruto said with disdain. "A little kid deserves more than this." he said.
"So what's the objective now? This kid looks ready to fall apart and there's still a lot of cages." Kirito said.
"They're organized by rarity from the looks of things." Naruto explained as he handed them a sheet of paper he found.
"And it's detailed too. I can take care of the boy while you two free the slaves." Hinata said.
Naruto shook his head, "The kid stays with me. Besides, you're competent enough to break through barriers Hinata." he said.
"Very well, where will we regroup?" Hinata asked.
"I think you will know when you see it." Naruto answered cryptically.
"Got it! It's Hero Time!" Kirito said as he drew a pair of swords and ran towards the areas marked on the map.
Hinata sighed, "I hope our exit is disastrous." she said.
"No promises." Naruto said with a smirk as he left.
Hinata ran behind Kirito, "Then again, there's not much risk if something bad were to this disgusting place." she said as Kirito excitedly started smashing his swords against a lock.
"No time to get anxious! We got a job to do!" Kirito said before breaking the lock.
Hinata sighed, "Don't just swing wildly…"
"NEIGH!"
"AHHH!" Kirito screamed as a horse rammed itself into him.
Hinata sighed, "They might feel frightened instead of relieved over a maniac swinging his swords around." she said as Kirito groaned. "Be more careful, gentle and considerate." she said as she gently pat the horse.
"I think majestic creatures just hate me in general." Kirito said.
"Just let me handle the restraints." Hinata said as she moved onto a cage with a sealing marker.
"Okay, I'll be careful then." Kirito said before being glared at by the horse. "Would it help if I said that I was sorry?" he asked.
The horse looked a tad angry.
"Sugar cube?" Kirito asked with a nervous grin.
The horse exhaled at his face.
Back at the Treasure Room
Now with more avian friends, Iago was nearly finished draining the room of the all the valuables he could find and remove. Anything that wasn't already nailed and anything that couldn't have it's nails removed was left behind. Meanwhile Juno had started trying to close the chest containing a few valuables she took while Iago was focused on the safe. Once closed, she started wondering if she could get one of the birds to help her move the heavy chest.
When Naruto arrived with the injured boy he saved. Which Juno noticed before asking for his help.
"Who is that?" she asked.
"The specific individual I came to save.' Naruto said as he gently placed him on a table.
Juno took a closer look at the child and was disturbed to find him looking beat up. Covered in various injuries ranging from bruises, slash marks and even what appears to be whips. From the rags he used as a clothes, Juno could only assume the nobles just cared enough for the boy to keep him alive.
"They did this to a child?" Juno asked while trying to hold back her fear.
"The people up there have no concern for anything but their own lives and pockets." Naruto answered as he started pulling out some medicine. "All I can do right now is keep him alive and numb the pain." He said.
Juno was no better of a person, however clearly she was not fond of the site of a sick and injured child who was barely grasping onto consciousness. She was actually happy to see that Naruto was compassionate enough and prepared to care for the health of another person.
'The one time I really do not want to feel powerless.' Juno thought before realizing something. "Wait, are there more like this boy?" she asked.
"I'm not sure, but my friends have already arrived. They should be working on releasing everyone else." Naruto answered as continued healing the boy.
"I see, that's good." Juno said, letting her feelings slip through her exterior look.
As Naruto continued to work, the little boy started to lose consciousness. As the medical work started to make the air feel cold and his skin feel numb. There was also the fact that the boy was being worked into exhaustion when he wasn't locked up in so many restraints.
"Don't pass out on me just yet kid." Naruto said.
"…tired." the boy mumbled.
"Look at me, don't go to bed yet. Can you tell me your name?" Naruto asked in an attempt to keep him awake.
"Jake… Long…" the boy answered.
"Good, do you have any family? I can try to locate them." Naruto said trying to assure him.
Jake's eyes widened, "Haley! AH!" he grunted in pain.
"Damn, I made it worse." Naruto said as Jake started to drift away. "I must have hit an emotional spike." he said.
That's when Naruto could hear the chaos outside. With enough impact to make a part of his hood slip back a bit. Revealing his blue eyes, blond hair and whiskers. Juno was surprised by the bright appearance of Naruto as she almost expected some pale dark haired young man like in a stereotypical novel. Meanwhile, Jake saw Naruto's brief appearance as if he saw the sun for the first time in years before falling asleep.
"That better just be Kirito messing around." Naruto said before adjusting his hood. Where he then proceeded to pull out his weapons, "Iago, prepare a mass escape. I don't think the rich folk enjoy us stealing their merchandise or their wallets for that matter." he said
"You think they care about their bling as much?" the bird asked as he was wearing a gold bracelet, a silver necklace and somehow fit a ring with jew onto his feathers.
"Anything shiny and worth more than a small furnished house matters to them." Naruto answered as Hinata and Kirito came in.
"Hey pal, we got a bunch of slaves free. Some even want to fight." Kirito said as many animals followed them into the room.
Juno was the most shocked by their appearance. As many of these creatures appeared to be only that of a fantasy novel. Literal fairy tales with actual fairy like creatures, animals able to stand like men and even a horse with a horn sticking out of it's head.
"Well that might be more hectic." Naruto responded to Kirito.
That's when Hinata glared at Juno, "Who is this woman?" she asked.
Juno quickly composed herself, "You may call me Juno, I am Naruto-san's partner of sorts. Temporarily as of now." she said while eyeing him..
Hinata sighed, "Now of all times? I expected this from Kirito, but claiming a woman?" she asked. "What is even the story behind this?" she asked.
"Wow, what's got you all stressed out?" Kirito asked.
Iago flew onto Kirito's shoulder, "Trust me kid, you don't want to provoke a female's wrath. No matter the species." he said.
It's not that Hinata likes Naruto and feels territorial. It's that Hinata really doesn't like dealing with womanizers or anyone tricked by a pretty face's wiles. Hinata could already tell that Juno isn't an honest or honorable person by the look and attitude she is giving.
"Calm down Hinata, you think I'm unfazed by a woman's charm? Or do you think I lack restraint like Kakashi and Jiraiya?" Naruto asked.
"A lot of surprises can happen." Hinata deadpanned.
Juno smirked as she grabbed onto Naruto's arm, "I may not be some charitable heroine, but I do have some honor little girl." she said annoying Hinata.
"Okay, no time to fight. I heard some sort of mess outside, what was it?" Naruto asked, bringing everyone back to reality.
Kirito sheepishly scratched the back of his head, "Yeah, a few of the guards showed up. I guess they tried to check on the cages or maybe getting ready to move them." he said.
"The fights were already ending, so there's a chance they are already starting the auctions." Hinata added.
"Then there's no doubt more people are coming once their first team doesn't report back." Naruto said as he started thinking.
"A good thing I destroyed the doorway leading here." Kirito said proudly.
Hinata slapped her forehead, "That probably caused more noise." she said.
"But at least we're slowing them down." Kirito said in his defense.
"It only means the next group will be even bigger." Hinata said as Kirito felt dumb.
"Either way, it's time we make an exit." Naruto said as Iago already started grabbing his stuff.
"The treasury is already empty so my job is done." Iago said.
Naruto then focused on his group, "Then I'll contact Drew and Vanitas. They can give me an update and work on a way out." he said.
"Then surely you have a plan to be smuggled away. There are several ships prepared to defend this island from interlopers. They are no navy, but they can handle a couple of organized military vessels." Juno spoke up.
"Then we won't go by sea." Naruto said confusing her.
"Then I think we better lead our new friends away." Hinata said as she looked at the mythical creatures who seemed eager.
Before the group started to make their leave. Naruto came up with an idea and whispered it into Kirito's ear. Which made him grin as the dark haired boy nodded to his blond friend.
A few minutes later
As the group started to make their way out of the slave prison. They were making their way towards one of the more open areas the Juno mentioned. By now, almost no one should be around to stop them or alert reinforcements.
"Is this information really reliable?" Hinata asked with clear doubt in her voice.
"I've been here many times before. Only I never expected to be apart of some raid. So excuse me." Juno answered.
"Well now you're a part of one." Hinata responded.
"So where are we heading exactly?" Kirito asked.
"One of the common areas that lead to the outer gardens. The space may be very exposed from the outside, but if you want to get off the island. This castle is the first thing we need to worry about." Juno explained.
"I suppose we have to start somewhere." Naruto said.
As the group arrived, they found a group of guards making their shift change. Before they could say anything, Naruto tossed his knives into foreheads of the first pair of guards. Kirito then revealed a mini crossbow under his sleeve and filled another pair of guards with a rapid spree of arrows. Seeing most of their comrades dead on the ground from a sudden attack. The final two guards already drew their weapons and started rushing at the trio.
Hinata decided that step in as well and with her near inhuman flexibility. She avoided the incoming spears that the guards were armed with. Before quickly digging her fingers into the abdomen of one guard, making him fall to his knees. With the other trying to pierce her with spear only to miss and hit his ally. The sudden shock and scream of pain paralyzed the guard long enough for Hinata thrust her palm into his chest, making him cough up blood and collapse on the ground.
"That was quick. Though we should practice being on synch more." Naruto said as he took out his knives.
As the group made it to the common room leading to the outer gardens. Naruto could see one of the passing ships floating near the peninsula. The young man smirked as he lead the way outside. Only to be surprised by Drew sitting outside on a chair and making tea.
"Oh hello young master, I expected you to call first." Drew said with surprise. Then he saw the many slaves, "I suppose this is our cargo? Then I will have to recall Vanitas. As they still insisted that "Genki" takes a look at the auction." he continued to say.
"Then you will have to…"
Naruto was interrupted by the sound of an explosion. A few seconds later, the sounds of alarms were heard and flares could be seen lighting up the sky. Either Vanitas screwed up or the secret plan he whispered to Kirito didn't go as planned. However as time passed very slowly, he saw the various ships attempting to turn around with great haste.
"…call him now." Naruto told Drew.
"At once." Drew said as he reached into his jacket for a certain device.
Kirito and Hinata started looking around, "That's a very big army." the former said.
"I'm assuming now is a good time for a desperate exit then." Hinata said as she reached into her cloak.
"Not yet, they're confused and the numbers may not be anything too threatening yet." Naruto said.
A minute later, Vanitas arrived in a crimson portal with a giant barrel, "You could have warned me." he said before putting down the barrel. "At least I got us some souvenirs." he said as he opened up the barrel.
Inside, Naruto and his companions saw Senki and Komane tied up like salami ready to be cut and sold at the butcher shop. Naruto did weigh the trouble that having the both of them would cause. Then again, this could work in his favor depending on the issue with security.
"Not the present I would want, but this will probably help." Naruto said as the nobles glared at him.
However, Senki looked furious as he saw Juno beside Naruto, "You!" he seethed. "You were plotting against my business!" he yelled angrily.
"Not really, though I do admit to being spiteful." Juno said as Senki snarled. "Don't be so stressed, I already compensated myself. I will no longer be visiting your little resort anymore, Senki." She said with a look of little care.
Despite how frustrated Juno felt for being locked away like an animal. Juno felt better seeing Senki and his bitch of a daughter being thrown into a barrel like meat. It also helped that her current composure made it sound like she was a disgruntled customer that feels unhappy about the business treating her poorly.
"Why you! Unhand me this instant or else I will have your head!" Senki commanded.
"I think you fail to notice that you are in position to make demands." Naruto said.
"That voice." Senki said as it felt familiar.
"Should we toss them into the ocean?" Vanitas asked.
"NO!" Komane pleaded.
"Not yet." Naruto said before closing the lid.
Where he silenced the nobleman and his daughter who were yelling and demanding to be free. However, now they had to worry about the incoming fleet of ships. As mentioned before, they were no organized navy but a group of trained misfits and a few angry slaves would not be enough to combat them.
"What was your plan of escape?" Juno asked.
"I think we'll have to call in the reinforcements." Naruto said.
"I think my sister is feeling impatient." Kirito spoke up.
"And the other one is going to lecture us." Hinata said.
"Then someone should call them in." Naruto said as Drew reached into his pocket again.
"This may take a moment young master." Drew said.
"Very well, I suggest we take some cover." Naruto said.
A few minutes later, elsewhere
A group of nobles with a distinguishable appearance by the white bubbles on their head along with a curled up hair style. The trio were moving along the side of the castle with their heavily armed guards by their side. The leader of this group is the patriarch of this family, Rosward. Right now, he was currently returning back to the castle after having returned to his yacht for his funds. All the while his son and daughter seem to be having a disagreement.
"You had best keep your disgusting desires to yourself Charlos, su." the daughter said.
"I am trying to think about what slaves I want and what I want to do with them. It's not my fault you are bothered by my voice, Shalria." Charlos said.
Rosward had enough, "Shalria, just ignore him. What Charlos does is his own business and his own personal funds." he said.
Shalria rolled her eyes while Charlos continued to think about his personal desires. At the same time, they all noticed the fleet of ships docking in the distance.
"What are all of those neanderthaals doing? They are meant to guard the island, not the dock, su." Shalria said.
"Maybe it is a shift change or maintenance. The only thing worse than a paid barbarian refusing to die for his meal ticket is a barbarian dying before having the chance to deal with the unwanted scum." Rosward said.
"The only good thing about mercenaries is that they only need alcohol and shiny coins. Unlike a bunch of overpriced stiffs with their "protocols" and whatnot." Charlos said.
"That is the point. One or more die, another comes in asking for the same price with the promise of more efficiency." Rosward said thinking his son caught onto his view of the economy.
"Though they do stink and are hard to look at." Shalria said.
"There are still some costs, though not in the form of money." Rosward said as he also dislikes mercenaries despite being affordable.
Still, business can always be a gamble. He can't predict the good and bad outcomes of business when the money seems reasonable. However, even with some knowledge, Rosward still seemed to be ignorant as to what was going on. As the mercenaries could be seen making a mad dash to back of the castle. Causing Shalria to collapse in the process of nearly being hit by the stampede of mercenaries.
"Those stupid neanderthals! I demand their lives as compensation!" Shalria said, acting as if she were injured.
"I wonder what is getting those men excited." Charlos said.
Rosward's face turned into a serious one, "I fear that someone wants to interrupt our shopping spree." he said making Charlos whine.
Back with the group
Hinata sighed as everyone went into hiding, "What exactly did Naruto tell you to do?" she asked Kirito.
Kirito chuckled as he sheepishly scratched the back of his head, "He made me send shadow clones to make it the cages not appear empty. Only after I moved most of the bodies. So when the "slaves" were ready to be sold." he trailed off.
"Don't tell me you set them to actually explode." Hinata said.
"I did, sort of. Though just one, I didn't know they would sell the explosive one first." Kirito said.
"You have to admit Hinata, they would have still been suspicious once they realize that their merchandise is fake." Naruto explained.
"I guess." Hinata said in reluctance towards the wild idea.
"Drew, how long is Ryuko and a squadron going to take to get here?" Naruto asked.
"I would say a 15 minutes at most." Drew answered.
"I'm really itching for a fight." Vanitas interrupted. "Hanging around those rich assholes makes me feel like I got a disease from them." He added.
"I think your wish is coming true." Naruto replied as he saw the mercenaries passing through their area.
"That is an absurd amount." Hinata whispered as the heavy amount of mercenaries run by them.
As the group took cover and signaled for the slaves to stay put and avoid attention. No one was able to focus on the barrel containing their hostages. As the father and daughter were repeatedly shaking around in the barrel to the point that it fell to it's side and rolled out. The top of the barrel came popping off as did Senki.
"Over here you fools! These intruders are kidnapping us and stealing my property!" Senki screamed.
"Father! I don't want them to have their way with me!" Komane yelled as tears fell down her face.
Kirito suddenly looked like he had contracted the plague, "I feel sick, maybe we should have tossed them in the ocean." he said.
"Then you would have polluted these waters." Hinata said as if the nobles were made of toxic materials.
"Can you not here me you idiots! What do I pay you for!?" Senki screamed.
Eventually, the mercenaries started to slowly stop as they saw their employer. With a good chunk already breaking from the crowd and running towards them.
"Crap, someone grab the hostages and get back inside!" Naruto ordered.
That's when a large bull with the body of a man stepped forward and grabbed the tied up pair. He then kicked open the doors and ran inside with the rest of the slaves following suit. As everyone made their way inside, the group covered the flank.
"Maybe now is a good time for the big guns?" Kirito asked.
Naruto sighed, "Probably." he said as he threw several of his knives at the mercenaries. "Just keep an eye on Jake. He's the reason we're here and he's needs a lot of medical attention." he said.
"I'll watch over him." Hinata said as she ran inside.
"I can cover you while you get ready Naruto. You still have your mask?" Kirito asked.
Naruto pulled it out, "I'll have to get some distance." he said as he started running up the outer walls of the castle.
"Okay then, I guess that leaves me with the butler and drone." Kirito said.
"It seems that way, doesn't it master Kirito?" Drew said as he dueled a pair of mercenaries with his cane.
"Don't call me a drone" Vanitas said before being stabbed and disappearing.
Only to appear again and slice the mercenary that tried to kill him in half. Vanitas then summoned a cloud of keys and started riding them. Where he flew over the incoming group of mercenaries and attacked them in the center. Resulting in a giant explosion that took out a whole crowd of them near the center.
"Show off." Kirito said before drawing his twin swords and facing the army head on.
"And that makes you very reckless." Drew comments as he slowly backs away as the enemy numbers grow too big.
With Naruto
Upon standing on the castle walls, Naruto could see that there really were an absurd amount of mercenaries incoming. Maybe there was a sale or something involved to get this many. Naruto could only assume they were in the thousands and were all clumped together. Regardless of their threat level, Naruto pulled out a mask from his coat and started to channel his chakra around him.
Creating a golden seal to appear under him and surround him with a harmonious light.
"O Adolmaea, shining sovereign, supreme light of the ancient skies, grant me your power." Naruto said before raising the mask near his face. Where he then placed it on his face "Verto!" He said before a giant suit of golden armor stood behind him
Back down on the ground
As Kirito slashed at another group of incoming mercenaries. He suddenly heard the sounds of destruction coming from above him. Along with Vanitas and Drew, Kirito started to take cover as a giant armored titan came crashing down.
"Holy crap!" Kirito yelled as he got hit by the giant.
With various questions and concerns coming from the mercenaries who stopped and were shocked by the sight of the armored titan.
"What the hell is that!?"
"Some sort of monster?"
"Who's side is it on!?"
All these questions were ignored as the titan proceeded to move. It swung it's double sided blade at the mercenaries. Creating a giant trail of fire that sent a whole row of mercenaries flying away. Realizing that this suit of armor is their enemy and a strong one at that. The mercenaries decided to risk their lives anyways and went attempted to charge the suit of armor.
"I'm glad the Sun King armor is going to clean up this mess." Kirito said before heading inside with Drew.
"I'll stay out here, I'm not letting Naruto have all of the fun." Vanitas said as he went back to fighting the mercenaries at the back.
Naruto then proceeded to pull the Sun King's double sided blade and started dual wielding them like two separate swords. As the army of mercenaries surrounded him and tried firing projectiles at his body. Naruto quickly swings his two blades and burns through the ever growing amount of thugs that just keep coming.
"There is no sense in any of you. I feel no pity." Naruto said before connecting his blades again.
Naruto then raised up the Sun King's double sided blade and started twirling it into the air. Before slamming it into the ground. Resulting in a giant shockwave followed by a wave of flames that disintegrated a big chunk of them.
"We can take him! Can't we!?" one mercenary asked.
"Don't we have ex-shinobi with us?" Another asked.
That's when a group of 10 ex-shinobi jumped into the air and tried to strike at the Sun King.
"Lightning Style: Electromagnetic Murder!"
"Fire Style: Phoenix Fire Jutsu!"
"Earth Style: Earth Armor!"
"Water Style: Gunshot!"
With the various jutsus being performed. The former shinobi all thought they had a greater chance of harming the giant suit of armor. However, while they did leave a greater amount of damage compared to a group of experienced thugs with low qualities weapons and high numbers. The Sun King remained unaffected by such attacks.
As Naruto only swings his double sided blade again. Unleashing another great wave of fire at them.
"Water Style: Water Encampment!" Several yelled as they tried to defend against the blames.
Which didn't last long as the flames continued to come. Eventually breaking through the water defenses and killing several more mercenaries. By this point, over a third of the total forces were wiped out. With only a handful of them staying and continuing the fight. All the rest were already retreating with most of them fearing death over the loss of their payment.
"You cowards! Reform your ranks!" Naruto yelled as he threw his double side blade at the retreating.
Causing many more to fall before the massive fiery explosion. Vanitas able to make it out before the flames could reach him.
"Someone sounds very eager to keep fighting." Vanitas murmured before continuing to pick off the mercenary force.
Back inside
With their Ace in the field, Kirito and several slaves started to barricade the doors. With Hinata trying to look for another escape route and evening considering breaking down some walls to create a path of her own.
"How is it looking Hinata?" Kirito asked.
"I can't find an exit without destroying some foundation, but at least Naruto looks like he's defeated a chunk of those thugs." Hinata explained as she looked around.
A few minutes passed and Hinata found a good path to break through. However, it seems as though the proper guards of the castle were arriving and in large numbers. They were very likely concerned with the fact that the equivalent to a terrorist attack was happening to them. Thus, Hinata decided to deal with them quickly. Only after putting a few exploding sealing tags on a wall.
"Kirito, lead our new friends down this path once it opens." Hinata said.
"Sure thing Hina!" Kirito said as the wall exploded.
As Kirito lead the slaves away, Juno stopped in her tracks for a moment, "Are you going to stay behind?" she asked.
"Someone has to deal with the incoming guards that are flanking us." Hinata said as she could see the guards about to arrive.
"If that is true, you will fight them all by yourself?" Juno asked.
Hinata gave a lazy smile, "That's right, I'm much more than a little girl in your eyes. Now go, don't you have a dinner date?" she asked.
Juno felt curious, but she shouldn't question her savior's friends. Seeing as how they are all powerful, much more than a typical shinobi with a few tricks. Especially with how much destruction it sounds like Naruto is causing.
As Juno and the others escaped, an ethereal bow presented itself to the Hyuga girl.
"O Luthia, argent goddess and beacon in the ancient night. Grant me your power!" Hinata said as she grabbed on the bow and pulled on it's string. "Verto!" She said as she fired a pink beam at an illusionary image of the moon.
As with Naruto, a giant suit of armor appeared behind Hinata. Before she herself became one with the giant suit. This resulted in destroying a portion of the castle as her great size turned a part of the structure into rubble. Just as the guards arrived and prepared to execute the intruders. Hinata drew her bow and annihilated the first wave before they had a chance to understand just what they were facing.
By the time they did, Hinata had continued to barrage the incoming waves of guards before they could organize themselves. Eventually, Hinata grew tired and ran out into the gardens where Naruto had practically finished. Hinata set her bow's target to one of the structure's pillars and fired on it. Resulting in the entire corridor collapsing and crushing the remaining forces. Leaving any other reinforcements trapped or unable to reach the group.
"The Moon Maiden reveals her ferocity." Naruto comments.
"That should be the end of them, for now at least." Hinata said as Naruto nodded.
The two maintained their transformations until they made it back towards the entrance. Where they saw Kirito destroy a wall and lead the slaves and Juno into the open. Before anyone said anything, a barrage of cannons opened fire on them.
"We got them now!" yelled a random mercenary as a couple of ships started moving.
"Take cover now!" Naruto ordered.
"Yes sir!" Kirito yelled as the cannons continued to fire.
"I can handle the ships. Just worry about protecting the slaves." Hinata said as she opened fire on one of the incoming ships.
As the infiltration mission turned into a full blown war. Several bronze aircrafts could be seen flying in the distance. All of which came in at great speeds as they approached the island.
"Our exit has arrived." Hinata said before destroying another ship with her bow.
"And not a moment too soon." Naruto said as he powered down.
The aircrafts started to land near the group. Where Kirito tried to help the hesitant slaves go into the aircrafts.
"Look, I know it's unnatural but these people are my allies. They'll take you with us." Kirito said as many looked mistrusting. "Don't worry! I'll be with you guys at the front." He said as some reluctantly accepted the rescue.
However, while the slaves were all broken into different groups as the climbed onto the aircrafts. The stasis bubble that held Jake was taken by Drew who took him into the lead aircraft. Where he then greeted Naruto who had finally arrived with Hinata.
"Excellent work master Naruto and such grace with the bow, Lady Hinata." Drew said.
"You are too kind Drew." Hinata said as she came onboard.
Whereas Naruto was helping Juno onboard, "I know it seems alien, but trust me." He said.
"Forgive me if my trust is reaching it's limit." Juno said nervously. "Just what is this contraption?" she asked.
"A Vimana, an ancient lost technology." Naruto said before gently taking her hand and helping her onboard. "Technology that now exists, thanks to my great leader." he said as the aircraft started to fly again.
"And back to Konoha, we go." Drew said as the pilot nodded and escorted everyone away.
Back on the ground
Rosward and his children were not happy, not one bit. Rosward knew that trouble occurred and it did. Now he and his children were trying to navigate through the end result of the battlefield. Where they eventually came across Senki who managed to get free and is struggling to free his daughter.
"Ow! Papa be gentle!" Komane whined.
"I'm trying dear, but this is gentle. More gentle compared to what I will do to those interlopers and their fancy techniques!" Senki said angrily.
"Senki-san!" Rosward called out. "What has happened!?" he asked with concern.
Senki growled, "A bunch of thugs came in and raided our finest stock!" he said angrily making them gasp.
"Oh no! But does that mean all of your inventory is gone!?" Charlos asked.
"Hopefully not, I keep the types separated, but I hope you are not disappointed by the lack of finer slaves." Senki said to the younger boy.
"Oh thank goodness." Charlos said with a sigh of relief.
Shalria looked angry, "I'm sorry for your loss sir. Your business is a horrible victim of theft." she said.
"Worry not about that daughter, seeing as how I've been effected as well." Rosward said as he saw his own personal yacht was destroyed during the fight. "I will be putting a price on their heads as well." he said.
Suddenly, Komane was free, "I want them alive and executed after they grovel for mercy!" she yelled.
"That seems quite fitting." Charlos said in agreement. "I would demand the heads of the children and their children's children if they have any too." he said.
"Don't give her ideas." Shalria said as she found Komane's voice annoying.
"I will surely demand that as well!" Komane said just as the remaining mercenaries arrived.
"And where are the intruders? What do I pay you useless fools for?" Senki asked.
"Actually, we're going to need compensation seeing as over three quarters of our crew is gone now." A mercenary captain said.
"You demand money for failure!?" Senki asked angrily.
"Well, without the proper tools which have unfortunately been destroyed. We cannot give chase." the captain said feigning disappointment.
"You will bring them back now!" Komane ordered.
The captain shook his head, "Can't do that, so sorry! Still need my pay and I'll make it first priority. Right gents?" he asked his subordinates who cried out in agreement.
Rosward frowned as he stepped back, "It seems you have a financial nightmare to be worried about." he said.
"Yes, quite bad." the captain said with a nod.
"It also doesn't help that it looks like your own security is gone. Your "merchandise" also seems to have gotten loose too." a random mercenary said.
All five nobles turned around to find that a large fire spreading around the castle. With the sounds of screaming and fighting. The castle already took a lot of heavy hits and Hinata's arrows did destroy a good chunk of it just to kill their guards. So, Senki decided to swallow his pride.
"Listen, I know it seems tough, but consider this a downpayment of sorts or a bonus." Senki said.
"See Senki-san? We can be reasonable. Otherwise, we may have to get as desperate as your "merchandise."" the captain said as he knew those slaves would overpower what was left the guards and guests.
Unfortunately, it seems as Senki was not very good at negotiations and his hired help are not actually kind and reasonable.
Later that night, above Konoha
Naruto tried to fight back the need to sleep. Looking up, he realized that Juno found him to be a comforting pillow. Whereas Drew was standing by the side of the pilot. Hinata was already asleep with a cat sitting on her lap and Kirito was just looking out into the village. The scenery was nice, to think that ancient humans moved around the skies. That this was the vehicle of the gods that has been lost to the heavens.
Or aliens, supposedly the scientists believe aliens did this.
"We're about to land. I'll deactivate cloaking techniques in a moment." the pilot said.
"Are you still awake young master?" Drew asked.
Naruto yawned, "I'm trying." he said.
"Very good, I see your little companion is comfortable." Drew said.
"Never mind Juno, how's Jake?" Naruto asked.
"He seems stable, we'll take him to Dr. Nijou upon arrival." Drew answered as they started to land.
Naruto nudged at Juno, "Juno, wake up. We're arriving at my home." he said but Juno made a sound of annoyance. "I'll take you to a nice room where you can rest easy." he said as Juno tightened her hold.
"Okay." she murmured.
A few minutes later
Outside, as the squadron of Vimana started to land without gathering the suspicion of Konoha's ninja force. A beautiful woman in an elegant black spider themed dress came out. In her hands was a black orb that came to life. As the energy from it took the form of a dark armored figure with a face obscured by the darkness.
The lead vimana opened up and revealed Naruto's group. Naruto stopped for a moment and signaled for two servants.
"Please take my friend to a fine room. One she can feel comfort in. Then come back to me with her location." Naruto said. He quickly kissed Juno's hand, "I'll see you again later." he said.
Juno gave him a tired smile, "Not soon enough." she whispered as she was escorted away.
Naruto then started to follow his group to greet the armored man. Where they all bowed before the figure.
"Black Dragon-sama." Naruto greeted.
"You've all done well, though you have appeared to have claimed a mistress young Uzumaki." said the armored man in a raspy voice.
"We sure did, dad!" Kirito said before Hinata elbowed him.
"I see that, and the boy. Is this him?" the Black Dragon asked.
"This is Jake Long, we're not sure about his family, but we think his sister might be alive." Hinata said.
"Is she capable of transforming into a dragon as well?" The Black Dragon asked.
"Possibly, Jake turned into a large newt. Though he's not ready for a full transformation. Not accounting for the many wounds he has." Hinata said as the Black Dragon approached the boy.
The Black Dragon narrowed his eyes behind his helmet, "Very well, we will continue this discussion tomorrow. For now, send this boy to receive medical aid." He said before turning to the woman. "I will rest now, Arachne." he said before returning to the orb.
Arachne smiled, "You've done well." he told them.
"Thanks mom." Kirito said.
Arachne patted her son's head, "How was he today?" She asked.
"Pretty well." Naruto answered bluntly.
"I'll accept that answer. Do as you wish for the rest of the night my son. The same to the two of you as well." Arachne said before leaving to rest for the night.
"Mission accomplished, good for us." Naruto said before hearing a crash.
"Crap, did I miss dad?" Asked a voice.
"You sure did Ryuko! You can catch him next time!" Naruto yelled.
Ryuko groaned, "Was mom here at least?" she asked.
"No, just your step mom." Naruto answered.
"Good night nee-chan!" Kirito said to his half sister.
Ryuko sighed, as she was one of the pilots and helped unload the slaves. She was stuck inside as the handlers tried to help the mythical creatures be organized and taken to a temporary home. Despite being a pilot, Ryuko was also a fighter and a child of the Black Dragon like Kirito and a couple of others. Though it looked like she was also eager to see her father but will have to settle for tomorrow.
"Don't worry Ryuko, at least your father is fair and actually gives credit." Naruto said as Ryuko sighed.
"Yeah whatever, I shouldn't turn into a brown nose like my sister." Ryuko said as she left.
Naruto snorted, "I wish I had siblings." he said before looking at Jake. "For now, I'll send you to the infirmary. Hopefully Aki hasn't gone to bed yet or least has her clothes on this time." he said as he took the floating orb holding Jake to the infirmary.
The next morning
Jake slowly woke up to find a giant sack of flesh on him. Jake had some trouble breathing and he tried to push the giant meat away. As he was too disoriented to make out what was on top of him. However, he did start to come to his senses as his hearing started to improve.
"Dr. Aki! He's not breathing!" yelled a scared voice.
Jake groaned as the voice was too loud for his sensitive ears. When he realized where he was.
"Oh my! I never noticed!" said the doctor who was checking on him.
Jake suddenly realized that he was drowning in the massive breasts of his doctor. Though his vision was still obscured, he saw his doctor is a beautiful woman with blue hair. However, she also seemed to be very endowed as her chest looked very unrealistically big.
"Hello there, are you okay?" the doctor asked before accidentally dropping her chest on Jake.
"AHHH!" Jake shouted.
"You're killing another patient Dr. Aki." Naruto said from the doorframe.
"That's mean." the nurse with Aki said.
"Nope, that's how Aki is. She did that to me once." Naruto said.
"It was an accident." Aki said defending herself.
For context, when Naruto was nine years old and needed a doctor. Aki was still a fifteen year old assistant that was working her way to being a real doctor. Somehow the assistant managed to get Naruto's small head stuck in her breasts when the doctor asked her to take his blood pressure.
"It's on you if something happens and me, since I'm his guardian now." Naruto said surprising Jake.
"I still need to do some tests." Aki pointed out.
"Then don't mind me. Just remember not to crush the kid or your assistant." Naruto said as the nurse whined.
A few minutes later, after some tests and treatment. Aki started to let Jake walk on his own which he could do without feeling any real pain. That is until he started to stumble and grabbed onto the nurse. Who suddenly fell to the floor and tried to grab onto Jake. Only to end up in a perverted position where the nurse's slowly developing chest was shoved into Jake's face.
"AHHHHH!" Jake yelled.
Naruto groaned, "Really Mikan? You know they're going to start making you girls tape those things down." Naruto said.
Mikan whined, "Don't be mean to me." she said.
"I'm not, just... watch where you're stepping and what you're grabbing. You'll be better then." Naruto said as Mikan nodded.
After that mess ended, Naruto took Jake out of the hospital.
"You said you were my guardian now?" Jake asked.
"That's right, since I found you and lead the mission. My boss, the Black Dragon, appointed me." Naruto said. "Stay close Jake, here in Konoha, it's no typical hidden village. People pretend that this is like another city, but it's a military state and a big one with recent changes in government." he explained.
"What does that mean?" Jake asked.
"At one point, the old soft Hokage tried to be tough again. A real Professor before his final day came and the new guy started making a mess." Naruto said referring to a one eyed mummy.
"So how bad are we talking here?" Jake asked.
"Real bad, not only that, but there are some things the public eye doesn't know. Namely mythical creatures, monsters and other things of fantasy." Naruto said confusing him. "Like you, dragons. Yesterday, we saved you along with other animals like minotaurs and fairies. All that stuff is real if you haven't noticed." he said.
Jake looked at the sky for a moment, "My mom told me about them. Right before we were taken away." he said sadly.
"I'm sorry, but if it helps. We think your sister might be fine. There's rumors of another dragonoid like yourself having been locked up." Naruto said giving him hope.
"Haley?" Jake asked.
"Maybe, but for now. You're not ready to face that world just yet." Naruto said. "So for now, I have to help you build up your strength." he said.
"My grandpa said he wanted to train me. Does your boss know him?" Jake asked.
"I don't know." Naruto answered truthfully. "If he's skilled enough to have survived, he'll find you." he said. "Don't get too hopeful. Just focus on the now. Because I'm not going easy on you once you recover, the Black Dragon made training hellish for me too." he explained.
"How hard?" Jake asked as he felt nervous.
"You'll see, but we won't train right now. I'll be busy after I give you the tour." Naruto said as they reached a fancy hotel.
"Busy? Busy doing what!?" Jake suddenly asked.
"I'm having dinner with a lovely woman." Naruto said with a grin as he thought about Juno.
Jake sweat dropped, "Seriously?" he asked.

Author's Notes: Another big one filled with many crossovers. Namely this started off with some Jake Long stuff and the plot mostly revolving around helping magical creatures that the shinobi world had forgotten. This method will kind of build up the background a bit more as the story progresses.
Anyways for small stuff, the cloaks used by Naruto and Hinata are the same ones used in Organization XIII and the armors they used were the giant knights from White Knight Chronicles. Juno is one of the mistresses from Overlord 2 the video game which there will be references of. As for the Black Dragon himself, he's taking the physical form of one of the Overlord protagonists from the Overlord games. Funny enough, does anyone feel any similarities between Overlord and Fable, or is it just me feeling that?
