Virtue and Venom: Chapter 46
Training grounds; (1 day after training began): With Naruto, Minato and Kakashi
Naruto was holding one of Minato's kunai as Minato and Kakashi stood off to the side; Minato decided to try and teach Naruto his Hirashin. Minato was confident that if anyone could learn it it was Naruto.
"Sensei is this wise" Kakashi asked Minato with some doubt "I mean Naruto is a fighter, not a seal user; are you sure". Minato looked at Kakashi with a smile and nodded.
"I believe in my son" Minato said "I know he has it in him; he just has to grasp it"; Kakashi looked at him with a look that said 'are you serious'.
"You said the same thing when you tried to teach Rin how to do shadow clones" Kakashi said "I remember what monstrosity she created when she did".
"So her clone was missing it's skin; that was a step in the right direction" Minato said before looking at Naruto "you can do this son".
"Ok dad" Naruto said as he focused his chakra into the kunai 'ok Naruto… lets do this'; Naruto threw the kunai at a target and he vanished in a flash of orange. The kunai hit the target but Naruto did not appear next to it.
Naruto appeared behind the target and was flying through the air to a tree "oh shit" Naruto shouted; Naruto smacked into the tree before rag dolling to the ground. Naruto began to groan as he rolled around on the ground "oh man that hurt super bad" Naruto groaned on the ground.
Kakashi looked at Minato with a half lidded eye "I don't think he grasped it" Kakashi said and Minato sighed.
"We'll try again later I guess" Minato said as he looked at Naruto who was getting back up "good attempt son; let's put a pin in that for right now and lets work on your taijutsu".
Naruto got to his feet and nodded 'thank god' he thought as he walked over "ok so who am I fighting first".
Minato smiled and looked at Kakashi "both you and Kakashi will fight me at the same time" Minato said as Kakashi looked at him in surprise "you need to train too Kakashi; I'm not going to live- shit I already died… you know what i mean".
"Ok Sensei" Kakashi said as he walked over to Naruto and stood beside him "well i guess there's no reason to hold back"; Kakashi lifted up his headband revealing his sharingan.
"Alright then" Naruto said as he got into his taijutsu stance not bringing out his trench knives "don't cry when I beat you dad". Minato chuckled as he got into his own taijutsu stance.
"You got that cockiness from your mother" Minato said as he got into his taijutsu stance "you two ready"; both Naruto and Kakashi nodded. "Ok… begin" Minato said before vanishing in a blur of speed and both Kakashi and Naruto lost track of him.
"What the-" Kakashi began until he got kicked in the chest and was sent flying through the air into a nearby river.
"Kakashi sensei" Naruto shouted before throwing a punch at Minato; Minato blocked the punch and parried it to the side. Minato countered with a punch to the face; Naruto's head cocked back and Naruto threw a kick at Minato's head.
Minato blocked the kick and lifted his leg into the air; Minato followed up with a punch to the nuts which made Naruto fall to the ground holding his groin.
"Oh my god" Naruto shouted as he rolled around on the ground "you just punched me in the dick"; Kakashi a second later got out of the river and was coughing up water as Minato looked at the both of them.
"You two weren't ready" Minato said with a smile.
Meanwhile; at the Hokage tower: With Ino, Karin, Tsunade and Kushina
Ino and Karin were both sitting at a desk with a scroll in front of them and holding a calligraphy brush; Ino and Karin were both drawing seals onto the scrolls with Kushina and Tsunade looking on analyzing them.
'They are doing well' Kushina thought as she studied them 'lets see how good they are when I do this'; Kushina reached behind her back.
Ino was almost done with her seal as she had a few more brush strokes 'ok, I'm almost done' Ino thought 'now all I got to do is-'. Ino stopped mid thought when she was hit on the side of the head by a rubber chicken "hey what the-" Ino began until she was punched in the face by Kushina.
"You lost concentration and you died" Kushina shouted as Karin looked at Ino who was knocked out of her chair.
"Are you crazy; you could've-" Karin began until Tsunade punched her in the face as well knocking her back.
"You got distracted by your friend being killed and now you are dead" Tsunade shouted.
Both Ino and Karin were on the floor as Kushina looked down at both of them "in battle while you're making seals you won't have the luxury of a table and time" Kushina said "you'll have explosions going off, kunai flying over your head and the sounds of the dead and dying all around you".
"You didn't have to punch us" Ino shouted as she rubber her nose.
"Get used to it blondie; because for the rest of the time I'm training you this is going to be the regular" Kushina said as she crossed her arms "every time we train you in seals your going to have to try and avoid our attacks; speaking of which…". Kushina picked up a wooden training sword and looked at a wide eyed Ino and Karin "you got two minutes to run; next lesson… avoiding the enemy while making a level five storage seal".
Both Ino and Karin looked at her wide eyed before Kushina spoke again "clocks ticking" she said; Ino and Karin jumped up grabbing their scrolls before rushing out the window. Kushina looked on as Ino and Karin ran away and sighed "this reminds me of when I taught Minato seals; he had to earn the title 'fastest man in Konoha'".
"Adorable" Tsunade said as she went to her desk and began to organize books "hurt them a little; they need to practice healing blunt force trauma". Kushina nodded before looking at the clock.
"Ok; ready or not here I come" Kushina said as she began to chase after Ino and Karin.
Ryuchi cave: With Mamushi, Anko, Orochimaru and Kabuto
Mamushi and Orochimaru were both standing in front of each other with their weapons drawn; Mamushi gripped her scythe while Orochimaru had a Katana that was lent to him by the snakes.
Off to the side Anko, Kabuto and the large White Snake Sage stood in order to see the match that was about to start.
"Begin the match" The White Snake Sage said as she looked on in anticipation.
Mamushi jumped forward and swung her scythe at Orochimaru who ducked under the three bladed scythe and countered with a slash to Mamushi's abdomen. Mamushi sucked in her gut in order to avoid the blade; the blade cut Mamushi's shirt but did not hit her skin as she took a few steps back.
Mamushi reached around her waist and grabbed a cable tied around herself and hook it onto the bottom of the scythe; Mamushi pulled off the rest of the cable and gripped it by the end. Mamushi's cable was 10 feet long adding additional length to her already long scythe.
Mamushi controlling the scythe by the cable began to swing it towards Orochimaru; Orochimaru seeing the scythe coming towards him jumped over the scythe and at the same time stabbed his sword into the ground.
The scythe went under Orochimaru and hit the sword; the sword got locked in between the scythe and Mamushi wasn't able to pull it free. Orochimaru landed and rushed toward Mamushi who let go of her cable and can towards Orochimaru.
Orochimaru sent several snakes from his sleeves towards Mamushi but Mamushi ducked out of the way and closed the distance. Mamushi jumped into the air and threw a spinning kick with her left leg; Orochimaru blocked the kick and grabbed onto her leg but Mamushi continued on with her attack.
Mamushi followed up with a right punch twisting her body in order to hit Orochimaru; Orochimaru caught her fist with his free hand before Mamushi launched her next attack. Mamushi swung her body and attempted to hit Orochimaru with an axe kick with her right leg.
Orochimaru raised his left arm and blocked the kick before raising up his own foot and kicking Mamushi away.
Anko on the side lines smiled at this 'Mamushi is using one of Sasuke's moves; I wonder what else she learned from the others' she thought.
Orochimaru rushed towards Mamushi and threw several punches towards Mamushi who put her hand up; Mamushi got into a stance much like Naruto's when he uses his trench knives. Mamushi began to block Orochimaru's punches using Naruto's style of fighting.
Mamushi knew the basics of Naruto's fighting style and knew it was very similar to boxing so it should help her in defending herself; Orochimaru continued his assault slightly impressed by how Mamushi was fighting.
'Learning from her comrades; smart move' Orochimaru thought; as he threw another punch Mamushi changed up her fighting style once again. Mamushi let the punch slide by her and she grabbed Orochimaru's arm.
"Got you" Mamushi said as she performed a Judo throw and slammed Orochimaru into the ground before getting on his back and putting his arm in a lock "give up". Orochimaru smirked before he turned his head completely around and looked at Mamushi.
"Not yet" Orochimaru said; Orochiamru elongated his neck and proceeded to headbutt Mamushi in the face making her break her hold and grab her nose. Orochiamaru twisted his body and threw Mamushi off of him before her got on top of her; Mamushi threw a punch and Orochimaru blocked and grabbed her arm.
Orochimaru put Mamushi into a choke hold and Mamushi began to fight against it; Mamushi fought for a few second until the White Snake Sage spoke.
"Enough Orochimaru; let her go" The snake sage said and Orochimaru smiled; Orochimaru let Mamushi go as she began to cough and hold her throat.
"Dick" Mamushi said as she got back to her feet.
"I have made my decision" The Snake Sage said "I will train the girl in the ways of the snake; she's strong willed but she's also is your daughter and heir". Mamushi looked at the Snake Sage and spoke.
"It'd be a cold day in hell when I recognize this asshole as my father" Mamushi said pointing at Orochimaru "I'm just here to stop a monster that he created". The Snake Sage looked at Orochimaru and spoke.
"Such an ungrateful child" The Snake Sage said making Orochimaru smirk and Mamushi frown "much like how you were with your Sensei"; Orochimaru's smirk faded into a frown and Mamushi's frown was replaced with a smirk. "We will begin her sage training tomorrow; as well teach her snake style taijutsu and weapons training" The Snake Sage said and Mamushi spoke up.
"Thanks Ms. Snake Sage lady" Mamushi said and the Snake Sage chuckled.
"At least you have a sense of humor; unlike your father" The Snake Sage said making Orochimaru groan.
Root Base: With Sasuke, Itachi, Mikoto, Danzo and Sai
Sasuke using his tanto stared down Mikoto as she gripped her sword; Itachi, Danzo and Sai were off to the side observing the match as they waited to see who made the first move.
Mikoto made the first move as she rushed towards Sasuke who activated his sharingan to track her movements; Sasuke blocked the slash from his mother with his tanto and countered with a kick to her head.
Mikoto ducked under the kick and threw an uppercut towards Sasuke; Mikoto nailed Sasuke under the chin making him take a step back. Mikoto readjusted her grip on her sword so that the blade was facing down. Mikoto spun around while on one knee and attempted to stab Sasuke in the stomach.
Sasuke using his tanto parried the strike before jumping over his mother and landing behind her; Sasuke reached around Mikoto's waist and held her tight. Sasuke lifted her up using one arm and proceeded to slam her down onto the concrete floor; Mikoto was caught off guard by this move as this wasn't a standard Interceptor fist technique.
Sasuke lifted up his foot to stomp on Mikoto but Mikoto rolled out of the way before jumping up; Mikoto sheathed her sword and began to go through hand signs 'Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu'.
Mikoto fired 10 small fireballs towards Sasuke and Sasuke prepared to counter; Sasuke put the tanto in between his teeth as he began to go thought hand signs 'Chidori Stream'. Sasuke pointed his hands towards the oncoming fireballs and released lightning from the chakra points in his hands.
The Sasuke's jutsu stopped the small fireballs from getting closer as they fell apart; Mikoto seeing this was impressed by how far Sasuke has come in his skills in jutsu other than was in the clan's scrolls.
Sasuke grabbed the tanto he was holding in his mouth and charged towards Mikoto who just landed and grabbed her sword once more; Mikoto now decided to activate her sharingan before running towards Sasuke.
Sasuke seeing his mother closing in began to channel his lighting chakra through his tanto as he launched his attack; Sasuke slashed at Mikoto and Mikoto raised her sword and blocked the attack.
Both of their blades collided and sparks began to fly off from their blades; Mikoto parried the tanto and began to slash and stab at Sasuke who dodged and blocked the attacks from his mother.
Sasuke ducked under another slash and came up in a rising stab while Mikoto came down in a slash; both of them stopped at the last second. Mikoto had her sword about an inch from Sasuke's neck while Sasuke had his tanto an inch away from Mikoto's heart.
"They seem to be evenly matched" Sai said and Danzo looked on passively.
"No, Mikoto was holding back; she didn't use any jutsu higher than B-rank, not did she activate her sharingan until the end of the fight" Danzo said and Sai nodded in realization "Itachi, what is your take".
Itachi was using his sharingan to observe the match; he deactivated his sharingan and spoke "Sasuke relies to much on his sharingan" Itachi said. "Sasuke only has one eye left and has a depth perception and a blind spot" Itachi said.
"We can work on that" Danzo said before looking towards Sasuke and Mikoto "enough; match over"; Sasuke and Mikoto pulled their blades away and looked at each other.
"Good job son; I'm proud of you" Mikoto said with a smile; Sasuke couldn't help but give a small smile himself.
"Thank you mother" Sasuke said before he and Mikoto began to walk over to the others.
"Good job little brother" Itachi said with a smile; Sasuke's smile faded as he looked to Danzo.
"What next" Sasuke said and Mikoto looked to Sasuke.
"Sasuke be nice to your brother" Mikoto said sternly and Sasuke scoffed.
"He murdered everyone I loved and tortured me with genjutsu; I can't forgive that" Sasuke said and Itachi sighed.
'Can't blame him there' Itachi thought "I will teach you how to better control your Susanoo" Itachi said and Sasuke nodded hesitantly.
"But before that we need to work on you being able to fight with only your single eye" Danzo said gaining Sasuke's attention "you rely to much on you sharingan; there fore we will help you work around it". Danzo looked to the roof "Fuu, Torune" he shouted; a second later Fuu and Torune came down along with 6 other root agents.
Fuu and Torune were Danzo's bodyguards and his most loyal soldiers other than Sai "the two of you along with your six agents will be Sasuke's sparring partner; do not go easy on him". Danzo looked over to Sasuke and spoke "and no sharingan or jutsu above B-rank" he said.
Sasuke nodded as he went back to the middle of the room and stood in the middle of the ring "lets get started".
Later that night; Yamanaka compound: With Naruto and Minato
Naruto was in the kitchen cooking a pot of stew for dinner; normally Ino or her mother makes dinner but Naruto for once decided to make dinner with some help from Minato.
"Remember son; stir the pot in order to make sure you evenly cook the meat, potatoes, carrots and celery" Minato said looking over his shoulder and guiding his son.
"I swear dad you're more of a house wife than mom probably is" Naruto said and Minato put his hand onto his chin and smirked.
"Well not that I'm one to brag but…" Minato said with a smirk "I took cooking, child care and other classes offered to expecting mothers". "And I aced them all with flying colors; your mother, well… I love her no matter what" Minato said and Naruto looked at him with a sweat drop.
"Her cooking sucks huh" Naruto said and Minato sheepishly nodded.
"In Uzu, spices are not used in cooking" Minato said "I mean beans, bacon, eggs and toast; very bland and unpleasant". A second later the door opened up and both Naruto and Minato turned around.
"Welcome-" Naruto and Minato started but stopped; Ino and Karin walked in very bruised and limping as they were followed by Kushina who was smiling.
"Hey boys; how you doing" Kushina said "Hopefully your training went as well as ours did"; Ino and Karin both groaned as they sat down at the table. "You had fun, right girls" Kushina asked.
"You're a psycho" Ino said.
Karin reached into her mouth and pulled out a tooth from the back of her mouth "Ino; can you help" Karin asked and Ino nodded; Ino opened her mouth and put her tooth back in before using medical jutsu to her.
"What the hell did you do to them mom" Naruto said as he ran over to his bruised girlfriend.
"Just standard Uzumaki seal training" Kushina said and Minato looked at her.
"You beat them and chased them around didn't you" Minato said and Kushina smiled.
"You remember" Kushina said.
"Can we just eat; I want to go to take a shower and go to bed" Ino said and Naruto nodded.
"Ok honey; you want some stew, how about you Karin" Naruto asked and both women nodded.
"Yes please" Karin said.
"Thanks babe" Ino said as Naruto walked to get them some food.
1 hour later: With Naruto and Ino
"Ok babe, almost there" Naruto said as he led Ino to the bed "here you go" Naruto said as he laid her down onto the bed. Ino groaned as she got under the blankets.
"Thanks honey" Ino said; Naruto crawled into bed with her and laid down next to her "this is going to be hard, isn't it" she said and Naruto nodded.
"Probably the hardest thing we've done up until this point" Naruto said "is there anything you need".
Ino turned towards him and spoke "can you just hold me; I want a cuddle" she asked and Naruto nodded.
"Anything for you my love" Naruto said as he wrapped his arms around her; Ino buried her face into his chest "goodnight Ino; I love you".
"I love you too Naruto" Ino said as she began to fall asleep; after Ino fell asleep Naruto looked down at his bruised, sleeping girlfriend and smiled. Naruto kissed her on her forehead and held her close.
'Ino… thank you' Naruto thought as he closed his eyes and went to sleep.
Meanwhile; Amegakure: With Pein, Konan and Madara
Pein, Madara and Konan were conversing about something when the doors to the room opened; Habu walked in with someone over her shoulder.
"Hello everyone; I'm back once again with another one" Habu said as she threw the person onto the ground; she was a girl with tan skin and mint green hair "she is the seven tails Jinchuriki".
"Where is Kisame" Pein asked and Habu sighed.
"Poor guy was killed while we were trying to capture her" Habu said as she reached behind herself and and grabbed Samehada "lucky for me I'm able to wield the sword or else I would've had to leave it behind".
"No matter now" Madara said "let's begin the sealing shall we"; before anyone could do anything Habu raised up her hand.
"Wait, since we lost Kisame we need another body don't we; we still need to capture the six and three tails in Kiri and the one tail in Suna" Habu said and Konan raised an eyebrow.
"What do you have in mind" Konan asked and Habu smiled; Habu leaned down and proceeded to bite Fu on the neck sinking her fangs into her flesh. A few seconds later Fu began to grit her teeth as a curse mark began to burn into her flesh; a heaven curse mark appeared on Fu's neck and Habu smiled.
"Now she's under my control; when we take out the seven tails she will still be alive due to the curse mark" Habu said making everyone but Pein raise and eyebrow.
"I see; why did you not do this with the two tails or the eight tails" Pein asked and Habu tilted her head to the side.
"My powers are still coming in, sue me" Habu said and Pein sighed.
"Fine; lets get started" Pein said; Habu smiled as she lifted Fu back up onto her shoulder and began to carry her.
'Little, by little, the pieces are falling into place' Habu thought with a smirk.
