So with the introduction of Bacon Bit, among these new Mutant characters we have so far among the Girl Mutants the most tomboy character to date! (Since she's a Pig, you might classify her as a Tom-Boar) With every other Female Mutant we've had very feminine interests which belies their aspect that that they are often ferocious beasts in one way or another, Scruffles, Posh Rich Girl who was previously meant to be a show dog before mutation with a particular interest in growing flowers, Lovelace, wannabee fashionista, Stripes created to be a nurse, Dana...Her whole story is her drive to be a wife, and Isis her Webcam involved her playing a flirty barmaid and like Scruffles she was clearly raised by a well to-do family and had typical 'Posh' British manners all these previous ladies even if they can fight, only do so because they have to not because they want to these aren't Raphael types who enjoy fighting but Bacon Bit here was Gung ho to fight in a war until she realized how dangerous war actually was...Part of this was she was very angry at humans for the way the scientists treated her, and it was more than because they were abusive to her that drove this Lovelace also had abusive creators and she is just more nervous around humans than angry Bacon Bit got convinced humans are not fit to rule the world until she got evidence that humans are capable of kindness
The next day was Tuesday first day of Von Kaiser and Glass Joe's Boxing Class for Mutants.
Glass Joe still sometimes had feelings that this wasn't entirely real that it was a dream...But then he reminded himself he had been miserable for so long that he was still getting used to being happy...He realized it was truly better this way...He had his won victory against against former heavyweight Nick Bruiser let that be his legacy now that he was a husband and soon to-be father he couldn't risk his life in the ring anymore instead he could still be engaged with the sport he loved by helping his friend Von Kaiser teach Young Mutants Boxing, Von Kaiser had asked Joe to be his teaching assistant because some of the Young Mutants were still quite skittish around humans "Back in my day teaching human boys…" Von Kaiser had said "...I ad been known to...Come off a bit strong...But you are gentle Joe, you have a calming affect."
As Joe got up and went to the apartment's kitchenette Dana the Mutant Doberman Pinscher who was not his wife was making breakfast.
She placed before him his usual coffee, then a plate of fried eggs and sausages then a small plate with some apple slices.
"A man needs his protein before facing Mutants…" She chuckled as she placed a kiss on his cheek, Joe chuckled at the little joke as he tucked into his breakfast, with Dana making sure he wasn't just living on baguettes and coffee as he had done previous times it had become noticed he had gained a little bit of weight around his waist before the wedding and he was getting his fitting for his suit.
It was still amazing that he, Glass Joe of all people would be the first human to marry a mutant animal...Was he being too harsh on himself for thinking he felt no female would ever want a loser like him? But no, Dana saw things in him that he couldn't see himself so after he turned himself in after he snapped and beat up three men who were mocking him, she came to him and offered to bail him out because she wanted to get to know him better.
After finishing breakfast and getting dressed he remembered something else...Dana's creators...The International Brain Trust, they had tried to recapture her before, and Joe knew that his colleagues and the Turtles only managed to fight back a few low level goons, this shadowy organization was still out there holding Dana's 'Sisters' captive and they knew where they lived because they were waiting outside the apartment for Dana the first time...Joe kept having horrible fearing that one day he was going to come home to a ransacked apartment and Dana had been recaptured and there would be no way to track them this time…
So that fear was probably what led him to the decision to ask Dana to join him.
"Would you like to come to the gym and watch Dana?" Joe asked trying to hide that he was asking out of fear for her safety "Perhaps the Young Mutants will feel better with a Mother Mutant...You could be a kind of...Den Mother."
"Really?" Dana wagged her tail "I'd love to! If I'm not imposing…"
Just a little fluff with my favorite Boxer because when we get into the Boxers' flashbacks of their experiences during the riots Glass Joe isn't going to appear much because he didn't have much to contribute, not so much because he was cowardly but because he knew he was useless in this situation and if anything he felt really bad about that particularly because it meant his friend Von Kaiser had to go back into battle
