Well...I got a replacement power cord after the old one completely died yesterday so I feel like a fanfic chapter is the only proper way to celebrate after not being able to write any chapters yesterday! Got some ideas for Bacon Bit's Past after remembering some of the...Unfortunate pages that were excised from the TMNT RPG...About the various kinds of mental illness your character could get from trauma that parents naturally objected to their kids seeing...This won't be one of those gross examples it's simply the character suffering a fear that came from harsh punishments she received (The most hilarious example given in those pages was 'Uncle Goober used to dangle character by one foot out the window' for why your character is terrified of heights)

After hearing the rumbling bellies, Glass Joe turned to Von Kaiser and said "Since this day is already turning out to be unique...Why don't we indulge them this one time and treat them to lunch?"

Joe turned to the Turtles and said "Since you four are here, how about you help us pay for lunch for all these cubs?"

Mikey jumped up "I'm all four lunch out! What you have in mind? I hope it's pizza!"

"We were thinking the corner cafe Doc Louis always goes to…" Joe said

Mikey shrugged "Fine with me, plenty of stuff I like there"

Because there were so many more Mutants this time, some of the Mutants had to eat Alfresco where the Turtles kept an eye on them, but Glass Joe and Von Kaiser wanted to talk to Bacon Bit more privately so they got the much coveted corner booth in the restaurant, Dana of course joined her husband she was also intensely curious about the Mutant Piglet who had been there during the Mutant Riots but she was content to let the humans do most of the talking.

Dana had her usual cheeseburger and fries, while Glass Joe had introduced her to fine French cuisine including cassolet which had become her new favorite food...She still on occasion craved a cheeseburger particularly now that she was pregnant, probably was craving more red meat than usual for the extra iron.

Bacon Bit simply wanted a basket of French fries and a cola, with Ranch dressing to dip the fries in.

Dana chuckled "I occasionally like to dip my fries in Ranch too! I can eat them with Ranch but when visiting France on our honeymoon...I couldn't handle just straight mayonnaise! It was just too much!"

"Are you...Vegetarian?" Von Kaiser asked

"OK…" Bacon Bit said as she dipped a fry in the dressing and took a bite "...I'm not a strict vegetarian...Sometimes I eat meat particularly if I'm really craving it but I try to keep it to a minimum and then I try to eat only things like chicken or fish, I try to avoid eating fellow ungulates and I've course I would never eat pork!"

"Of course." Von Kaiser said with a nod "...Even if you have mutated towards a more anthropomorphic form, you are probably still genetically similar enough to ordinary pigs that you would probably get the diseases related to cannibalism if you ate pork."

Hearing this and remembering the species of her dining companion made Dana grateful she simply ordered a regular burger and did not get a bacon cheeseburger, thinking about the fact she was a Dog the species it is almost universally seen as taboo to eat due to her species' status as man's best friend...She quietly reflected on how hard it must be for Mutants derived from livestock species…

"Let's get the topic away from meat if we can for a moment…" Dana said "...What other things do you like to eat?"

Bacon Bit nibbles in the fries some more as she thought "Well…" She said "...In the lab, while my usual diet was barely mash, the same kind they feed regular farm animals with...If I did something right I would get rewarded with an apple...So I came to really like apples...Then when I got out I learned that apples are often put in the mouth of suckling pigs and now I wonder if they were giving me apples as subtle way of telling me that…"

Von Kaiser and Glass Joe exchanged concerned looks about how bad this poor Mutant Pig's life was like in captivity...But Dana perhaps because as a fellow Mutant she understood the importance of getting the truth out pushed further.

"So they rewarded you with apples...What did they do for punishments?"

"Dana!" Glass Joe gasped feeling this wasn't the time for that question

But Bacon Bit sighed, this question she didn't feel she had to hide the answer.

"If I did something they really didn't like...They would lock me in this dark closet with all these...Spooky looking antique dolls...And to this day I...Really don't like dolls."

And Von Kaiser and Glass Joe felt their hearts melt feeling incredibly sorry for this poor mutant child.

Initially I was thinking the scientists controlled Bacon Bit with whips, but I thought no I already had that in mind for other characters like Lovelace, instead I came up with this idea, so Bacon Bit may have a future arc where she has to deal with her fear of the dark
