The episode referenced in this one-shot is Season 1, Episode 6: The Stork Job.

No direct quotes in this one! Though, when I first saw this prompt in regards to this series, this was the scene that instantly came to mind. It also gives a reason for the fireball that happens when Eliot and Irena are on set for the first time. Which I like.

The legalities. I do not own any of the Leverage franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "Are you sure you want to do that? The last time you tried, it exploded."

"Alec."

"Yeah, Pru?"

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was hired to be a secretary at the office, right?"
Alec Hardison turned to look at Pru Beck quickly before turning back to the prop that he was fiddling with. "Yeah, why?"

"So, why the hell am I in Belgrade?"

Alec rolled his eyes. "Because you're the only one here who has experience with managing the 'unmanageable,' or whatever Nate said. I don't know man, I'm just in charge of props right now."

"So, I have to go talk to Nate about why I'm here? Because I really shouldn't be here!"

"I get it, Pru, really, I do, but maybe you should wait to confront him? 'Cause Parker's already on his bad side and I don't want to get caught between you and him as well."

"Fine, whatever." Pru sat down next to him on the back of the prop truck before looking over at him again. "So, what are you up to?"
Alec smirked as he continued to fiddle with the thing in his hand. "Oh, you know, just the remote for the flame thrower."

He could feel the incredulous look that Pru was giving him, but just kept fiddling. "Two questions, Alec. Firstly, how big is said flame thrower and secondly, why do you have one?"
"Why is how big the flamethrower is your first question?"

"Alec."

"Alright, the production already had a flamethrower, it just didn't work. As to how big it is, it's the cone sitting near my foot."

He saw Pru lean forward to look, then chuckled when she did a double take and put her head in her hands. "Are you serious right now?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

Alec thought that he heard Pru mutter something but didn't say anything as she continued. "Are you really sure that you want to do that? Because the last time that you tried to do something like that, the thing exploded on you."

"Oh, shut up. Here look it's fixed!" As he pressed the button, a huge ball of fire burst out of the end, causing him to start laughing like a mad man. This made Pru sigh and shake her head. She really just wanted to go home.
