Kin then grabs onto his arm causing him to turn to Kin "don't! I'm sorry they don't know how things work in Konoha." pleaded Kin she might not always get along with her teammates but she didn't want them dead even though they can be a bunch of assholes.
Naruto sighs at this and runs the back of his head "you don't have to apologize. It's not your fault those two don't think. Though, they do need a shorter leash." joked Naruto with a smirk glancing back at her two teammates who stare back in fear.
Kin giggles at this drawing a smile on Naruto's face "I guess this is goodbye?" asked Kin.
"For now but we'll see each other again I actually like hanging out with you. " said Naruto giving need a warm smile.
she smiles back with her cheeks a deep rosy cheeks "I'd like that." said Kin she finally decides to release him and watches with a smile as he vanished from her view she turns to her teammates with a panic look she rushed over them grabs them by their shoulders "You idiots! You almost ruined everything!" hissed Kin shaking them.
Dosu looked annoyed at being manhandled by Kin "what the hell are you talking about!" growled Dosu.
Kin leans in closer "Orochimaru-sama ordered me to get closer to Naruto! And you two nearly ruined it! Do you know what Orochimaru-sama would do to us! I don't but I'm sure neither of us will like it!" Hissed Kin glaring down at the two who stare at her in shock.
"Wait seriously!" asked Zaku.
Kin nods her head and both gulped loudly "shit! But what the hell does I Orochimaru-sama want with that brat?" questioned Dosu.
"I'm not sure but it's best not to question him." said Kin.
"Yeah, I know. Damn, this really sucks!" groaned Dosu both he and Zaku make it back to their room neither wanted to get in the way of Orochimaru's plan or else they will suffer or Orochimaru could always let Kabuto do some strange hazel who experiment the to. And they weren't to thrill with any option Kin stayed back for a while staring at the Hokage Monument.
Recap End
The four of them had made Ichiraku's Ramen their usual hangout spot every time they would each finish their training they would meet up here. Sometimes they would meet up at the BBQ place where Karui and Kin would be introduced to Team Asuma. Karui realized just how lazy Shikamaru complaining about his mom hitting him and punishing him for not trying in his match it made it even worse for Karui when Shikamaru seems happy that he lost and had no interest in becoming a Chunin.
Ino tried get some information about Kin and Naruto's relationship but scream gleefully at noticing Kin's blush and the closeness between the two. Kin had even informed them that her father was been training her which surprised Kin since Ino seemed far more interested in fashion than training the two then quickly began to form a friendship, a friendship that even shocked her the only she had back in Otogakure was Tayuya.
Naruto and Menma had even introduced them to Jiraiya though they did warned about his perverted tendencies surprisingly it ended well. Or as well for Jiraiya not even 30 minutes later the man had found Karui's sword and Kin's senbon pointed to his groin and jugular Jiraiya had learned not only are his students attracted to two fierce females who didn't take kindly to the pervert
Today, Kin found herself in busy streets of Konohagakure she had just finished training and decided to walk around the village. A week ago she had just saved Dosu and Zaku from literally being blown to kingdom come hopefully they won't try anything too stupid. On this day she was training her genjutsu and learning a Technique called Fade into Endless Shadows (Owari no Naikageni Kiete) It was a genjutsu that target the person's sight making them believe they are surrounded by nothing but endless darkness which takes away their
Though, the problem she has with this technique isn't the genjutsu herself the problem is she has no one to try it out on. She's been using animals as test subjects but she didn't feel to comfortable doing that it felt like she was just like Kabuto who enjoyed experimenting on anyone. She knew Dosu and Zaku wouldn't help her so asking them was out of the question she sighs at this those two always saw her as a weakling mostly because an relied heavily on her senbon genjutsu. They even looked down at her for not augmenting her body like them to perform deadly sound based attacks.
"Kin!" yelled Ino hearing Ino's loud voice cause her train of thought to stop as she turns and watches Ino run up to her smiling brightly. "Yo, Kin! How's it going?" asked Ino the ravenette female noticed Ino isn't wearing her usual ninja outfit she assume this was Ino's clothes on her days off.
"It's going alright, I was just finished training but I'm having problems with it. What about you Ino? Wasn't your father training you?" asked Kin shooting the blonde a raised eyebrow.
Ino gains an annoyed look and pouts "no! My dad had me watching the shop and it's been dead all day!" groaned Ino she never did like working in the flower shop it was always so boring taking care of plants and selling isn't something she considers fun of enjoyable sure it teaches her the variety of many flowers but she's rather catch Tora the cat than spend the whole day in her family's shop.
"I have an idea! How about I help you!" exclaimed a grinning Ino.
Kin looks uneasy and ensure "I don't know if that's such a good idea." said Kin while she knew she could use a training partner she just wasn't sure if it was such a good idea.
Ino just waves her off and grins at Kin "aw, come on! Just because our villages aren't allies doesn't mean we can't be friends!" said Ino who had already forgiven Kin for their Chunin match.
Kin stares at Ino with a shocked expression "friends? We're friends?" asked Kin the only friend she really had back in Otogakure was Tayuya and that friendship usually involves lots of insults and yelling. Friendship was something rare in Otogakure and it usually isn't encouraged.
"Well of course we are! Sure your from a didn't village but no one says we can't be on friendly terms! So, how about it? You want to go training?" asked Ino in an almost pleading tone being coup up in the flower had made her antsy and restless.
"But I just finished training," said Kin.
Ino pouts at Kin like a child not getting her way "aww, come on! You just said your having problems with your training and I have nothing better to do! We can't let the guys leave us in the dusk!" exclaimed Ino pumping her fist in the air while she wasn't the final contestant in the Chunin Exam she didn't want to fall back even more than she already was. Though, a part of her was happy she wasn't in the final round just because she really didn't want to fight Naruto, Menma, or Gaara.
Kin finally submit to Ino plea causing the platinum to scream and glee and hugging the genjutsu user. She grins widely at her "come on, we'll stop by my place! I have to go change!" exclaimed Ino dragging Kin away many people watch in curiosity while Ino ignores all the strange stares including Kin's plea of slowing down. While Ino was happy to finally not be surrounded by flowers Kin face gains a downcast expression and tightness in her stomach.
With Menma
All around Menma are dozens of Kunai, shuriken, and arrows if one would look closer they wound see static dancing around him. The redhead yawns in exhaustion with a tired look he had spent the whole day training both him and Naruto had agreed when it came to training for their own matches they would do it away from each other he was sure his brother has training just as hard as he was.
Just as he leaves the training ground he sees an exhausted Karui leaning against a wood stump. Menma playfully shots her a raised eyebrow "working hard? Or hardly working?" joked Menma with a cocky grin ever sense his double date with Karui the two have been getting along she didn't mind his cold outlook on the word and he didn't mind her brash and hot temper. The two agreed if they end up fighting each they won't back.
Since Amai hadn't passed into the final round he has been helping her with her Kenjutsu and giving her basic information about Medical Ninjutsu. Karui rolled her eyes at her fellow red-haired companion "Samui-sensei is a slave driver!" groaned since the sun had risen she had been training her in Kenjutsu and lightning affinity. The blonde sensei has even been drilling strategies into her head all the information that was pounded her brain has Karui feeling like her brain might shut down at any given moment.
"But is her training working?" asked Menma he didn't know all that much about her sensei besides Samui is the strict and serious type and quite knowledgeable about history. He hadn't meet her but from what Karui has told him Samui takes her duties as a kunoichi and sensei very serious.
Karui rubs the back of her head an audible crack can he heard "yeah, it's working but if it's all the same I could do without feeling like I just got ran over by a tiger! What about you were you training?" asked Karui she groans as her body was sore Menma nods his head with a smirk she then blushes as her stomach let's itself be known.
"Lunch?" asked Menma.
Karui nods her head "lunch but no ramen! I want fried Yakisoba! And takoyaki!" exclaimed Karui with a wide grin on her face she remembered seeing Ino's far friend Choji scarfing them down like it was going out of business but she suspected all members of the Akimichi Clan to eat like it's the last meal they'll ever eat.
As they walk through the village a bunch of villagers mutter to themselves "it's Menma Uzumaki I can't believe him and his brother are in the final round." said a villager.
"I heard Naruto had seriously injured Sasuke Uchiha!" said another villager.
"This years Chunin Exam must be hard if the Last Uchiha didn't get to the final round." said another villager but hearing this causes him to smirk Karui raised her eyebrow at him the villagers stare at Menma as if he might attack them out of nowhere which was strange the looks remind her of how some people would look at Killer Bee or Yugito.
Menma Uzumaki!" yelled a feminine voice the two stop on their destination and look at the person who yelled at the Uzumaki. Menma raises his eyebrow at eldest daughter of Tsume who's glaring daggers at him even her ninja dogs are growling at Menma who just looks at them with a passive look.
"You killed my brother!" hissed Hana her dogs barking in response the two genin look clueless before the two realized this woman resembles Kiba.
"I didn't know the mutt even had an older sister. So, what do you want?" asked Menma not even affected by the woman's glare or the growling dogs.
"Why? Why did you killed him?" asked Hana she needed to know why this kid took her away before his life as a shinobi start.
Menma stares at her with his head cocked to the side "it was the Chunin Exams we knew the risk the moment we signed the waiver. Besides not my fault he didn't take the Chunin Exams seriously. But a more simpler answer is I hated Kiba he's a loudmouth over confident idiot." said Menma back in the academy he always acted like he was better than him and Naruto.
"But he was a fellow shinobi!" exclaimed Hana in a heated tone.
" So, and? In Chunin Exams we can kill whoever without repercussions we all signed the same papers! Not my fault he didn't didn't value his life I gave the idiot a choice and he choose death. " said Menma he was wondering what point did this have they all signed the same waiver they knew the moment they step into the Forest of Death they can lose their lives.
"Kiba isn't my teammate! Not is he my comrade! Why are you here? It's not my favorite your brother was too stupid to realize he was outclassed and out matched! Naruto and myself just capitalised on killing a fellow a fellow shinobi there was no rule against attacking or killing. It's just no one was smart enough to capitalize on it! You think just because we're fellow shinobi we won't go for the kill Iruka might have talked about friendship and crap but that means nothing to us! That make us strong we are willingly to do what others are not! Then again trash will always remain trash!" insulted Menma who was getting annoyed talking about this he didn't care if this woman was Kiba's sister or for this conversation.
Hana along with her dogs snarls at him Menma tilt his head to the side and staring down at the dogs "if you're the mutt's sister then that means your taijutsu and ninjutsu are tied to those dogs? Tell me will it affect your taijutsu or ninjutsu if I killed one or two dogs!" asked Menma in deadly tone.
Hana growls in anger at the child, Karui looks on in shock "holy shit! he's serious!" thought Karui as she feels the killer intent rolling of Menma.
"If you don't want to test that theory I suggest keeping a tighter leash on those dogs." said Menma he then channels the bijuu chakra turning his violet eyes crimson red causing the three dogs to back away in fear.
Karui glances at Menma in confusion "wait! Are his eyes red?" thought Karui she stares at his face but his eyes seem to be red with a slit which confuses her and for some reason it reminded her of another another blonde in her village. Karui quickly grab hold of Menma's hand she then gives Hana a quick bow "sorry, Inuzuka! But we must be going!" exclaimed Karui running off with Menma who's not that far behind her.
Once they are far enough she releases his hand and punches his arm "ugh, why do you have to pick a fight with her! She's a Chunin for crying out loud! What if she attacked you!" exclaimed Karui grumbling about suicidal boys.
Menma rolled his eyes at the aggressive tomboy who seems to want bite his head off. He pats her on the head not binding the blush across her face "I'll be fine if I fought her." said Menma in a confident tone.
"And how do you know that! What if she hurts you and isn't going to be as brash as her brother!" exclaimed Karui narrowing her eyes at the cheeky redhead.
He smirks at her with a Fox grin "nah! I'd win!" grinned Menma with a full blown grin on his face there's no way he'd lose to someone like her she mutters something about cocky bastards even though she does enjoy his confident attitude.
Hokage Office
"My hands are tied! There's nothing I can do about it!" exclaimed an exhausted Hiruzen the old man sighs at his former teammates Koharu and Homura had been complaining for the last hour about Naruto and Menma. Or more precisely the crippling defeat of Sasuke Uchiha and the death of Kiba Inuzuka.
"Hiruzen you must listen to reason! Those two- I know what they did but they were in the Chunin Exams where it's allowed to kill even if they are from the same village. I'm sorry but it's out of my hands! Now please leave as you can see I don't have that much free time." said Hiruzen who glances at his desk where the like of paper always seems to be growing.
Seeing this is hopeless they leave but not before the two elders have him the stink eye the old man groans at this ever sense the end of preliminary round the two have been complaining about the Uzumaki twins and either they can be trusted or not. Sure they never done anything to question their loyalty besides injuring Sasuke and killing Kiba but they prove they are loyal to the village they just don't care for the people.
"Ugh, I swear I could've retired ages ago! If only Minato was here!" groaned Hiruzen looking at the photo of Minato with a sudden look. "You can come out now, Jiraiya." said Hiruzen the window opened up revealing his student grinning to himself.
"And you wondered why I never took the hat!" said Jiraiya jokingly with his arms crossed.
Hiruzen looked at one of his only loyal student with a raised eyebrow "you mean other than your research and spy network?" asked Hiruzen.
Jiraiya laughs to himself "that too." chuckled the Sage plus the idea of dealing with his sensei's teammates complaining about everything he does doesn't sound appealing to the man it also didn't help that Jiraiya didn't trust Danzo or Koharu and Homura. To Jiraiya none of them had the best interest in Konohagakure both Koharu and Homura were stuck in the old ways while Danzo was nothing but a warhawk always seeking war and power which was not the way of Konohagakure or the Will of Fire.
He knew the real options for Hokage was himself, Kakashi, Tsunade, and Danzo. Tsunade hasn't been in the village for years and he doubt she'll be coming back anytime soon. So, that left himself, Kakashi, and Danzo. Kakashi is young and is almost as lazy as a Nara but the man was a genius, the most skilled shinobi of his time, his father was the famed White Fang, and he was trained by the Yondaime Hokage. Danzo well, that's the one person you don't ever want to run the village he would morph Konohagakure into something dark and twisted no one would be save from the man's warped vision, that man doesn't have the best interest in the village only for himself.
He knew someone like Shikaku was capable of being the next Hokage the man was known for his great mind and strategies. The only one in the village who rivaled his own intelligence was his son but he was still a child and quite lazy. The only problem for Shikaku was that he wasn't strong enough to be the Hokage.
"Report! How has training the boys has been?" asked Hiruzen.
"Good, those two sure are dedicated to training and they soak up anything fuinjutsu I already have them studying some of the more complex fuinjutsu. In a few years I'd say those two could be Konohagakure's next fuinjutsu masters." said Jiraiya hearing this shocked the old man knowing that the village needed more fuinjutsu users.
"That's good to hear. How about the Kyuubi's chakra can they use the fox's chakra?" asked Hiruzen.
"Yeah, as for now they can only use one tail of the Bijuu's chakra I'd suspect they can probably use about three tails worth but I rather not test that theory out yet. But they definitely need to use that chakra more I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the Akatsuki start making their move." said Jiraiya he knew the two were powerful no doubt the strongest among their peers but if he had to be honest those two are at least low jounin.
"Really? Do you think they are ready for them?" asked Hiruzen.
"Against Itachi and Kisame? No! As they are right now they don't stand a chance both Itachi and Kisame are at least Kage level and that's without Itachi using his Mangekyou maybe in a few years they'll be able to fight someone like Itachi. " said Jiraiya he knew sooner or later the Akatsuki will start making their move which why he's teaching the boys to handle genjutsu and how to carefully harness the Kyuubi's chakra.
"How are the two? Have they talk about me? I fear they may be on a dark path." said Hiruzen in a worried tone he knew the two brothers didn't care for the people of the village.
Jiraiya sighs at this he figured this was coming sooner or later "besides them saying how much they hate you and how much the village was grown weak. I don't believe they are on the same path as Itachi or Orochimaru they may hate you and most of the people but they are loyal to the village. If anything they remind me of the stories of Madara and Tobirama you would tell us." said Jiraiya he had admit how willing the two are able to kill it is concerning.
"That's what I'm afraid of." said Hiruzen confusing his student, Jiraiya can understand if being like Madara is a bad thing since he was the very first shinobi to become a rogue shinobi of the village even though he was one of the founders the man was increasingly powerful and capable of destroying a hidden village by himself.
"I can understand Madara Uchiha but why is it such a bad thing if they are like Nidaime Hokage? Didn't he create many of the foundations and jutsus?" questioned Jiraiya.
"Yes, Tobirama-sensei is the reason why we have anbu, academy, Chunin Exams, and so much more but he also created the Police Force. At first he did it so the Uchiha Clan can have a purpose and a sign of trust and good faith between the Senju and themselves but over time others believe he did this to keep an eye on the clan. My sensei always feared another Madara Uchiha will come to rise the Police Force was used in hopes to form unity with the village. Many people believed he hated the Uchiha Clan even though one of my teammates was an Uchiha." said Hiruzen.
"Danzo was one of the individuals who believed Tobirama hated the Uchiha Clan warped the lessons of Tobirama. The Nidaime was a militaristic and logical man he never allowed his feelings to control him and always did what was best for the village even though over times those actions hadn't gone the way he would've wished." explained Hiruzen thinking back on it now he definitely had handle the friction with the Uchiha Clan poorly so many lives lost unnecessary.
"And what? You believe Naruto and Menma will become the next Tobirama and Madara?" asked Jiraiya.
"It is a possibility the idea of someone with the militaristic mind of Tobirama Senju and the darkness of Madara Uchiha doesn't sit well." said Hiruzen he remembered all the stories Hashirama and Tobirama would tell him about Madara Hashirama always seen sad that his best friend was never able to escape the darkness of his clan.
"Then I guess we just have to make sure something like that doesn't happened." said Jiraiya the Sandaime Hokage could only nod his head in agreement feeling responsible for the way things have turnout with the Uzumaki twins "though, those two have been doing better since they've started hanging out with Kin and Karui." said Jiraiya with a proud smirk.
"The two girls from Otogakure and Kumogakure? Do you think they have any motives?" asked Hiruzen.
"From what I've seen no but it's still too soon to know. For now, I've been keeping a close eye on them." said Jiraiya the Toad Sage has to be honest there were times when Kin would get nervous and uneasy when she believed others weren't watching her he wonder if she wasn't accustomed to the village or some other reason she definitely wasn't a threat as far as he can see.
With Naruto and Kin
After spending a long day of training with Ino which led to an even longer day of shopping something she wasn't used to it accustomed to. Somehow, someway Ino had convinced her to going to the Heroes of Fire Festival with Naruto. At first she was just going to go in her regular clothes but Ino quickly shot that idea down saying this is one of the biggest festivals in the village which meant a new wardrobe she couldn't believe she was doing something as girly as shopping which felt like hours of trying on all types of clothes she wondered was this what normal people do? Is this what normal friends do?
She honestly couldn't imagine her and Tayuya going shopping together or talking about boys. She definitely couldn't see smiling and laughing Tayuya was a very angry girl. Everything here was just so different, so different than what she's used to back in Otogakure acting carefree was looked down on. She honestly couldn't imagine living in Otogakure carcass just too bright for the dark nature of Otogakure.
Shopping with Ino was interesting something she never thought she experience she hate to say it but she's actually considered Ino a friend and worse she's beginning to like this place, this village, she especially likes the Ichiraku duo. After spending many hours shopping the they decided on a grey and olive green kimono she believed they were done but apparently they were just getting started.
Apparently when it came to makeovers Ino has no restraint so, here she is standing in their usual meeting spot in front of the Academy. Kin has hair styled in a high ponytail and she's wearing purple eyeliner she had never felt more self conscious than she is right now her face felt so hot, her hands felt so sweaty, and her heart felt like it was beating every millisecond.
Something in the distance caught her attention something familiar her face becomes a volcanic red as she sees her favorite blonde. He isn't wear his forehead protector allowing his spiky locks to frame his tan face He wears a black haori with a white kimono and black undershirt underneath tied together with a black belt, white pants, and black sandals.
Naruto definitely looked better without his forehead protectors she unconsciously runs her hand through her raven locks smiling bashful at the blonde. Naruto waves at her "hey, Kin! I like your kimono it definitely suits you." said Naruto with a smile that made her heart skip heart which she's wasn't she why she felt this way around blonde but she didn't dislike these strange feelings.
With an atomic blush adorning her face she smiles warmly at the blonde "thank you! Ino help pick this out for me. You look good as well, Naruto." says Kin even though she felt strange in this kimono she was happy with the compliments sure she had been complimented by Orochimaru for her genjutsu but it never felt true. But with Naruto it actually felt natural and true unlike her serpentine master.
Naruto in return smiles at the compliment he unconsciously rubs the back of his head with a foxy grin "thank you, when I told the old man and Ayame about this she practically dragged me away! I don't think I ever seen her so animated!" exclaimed Naruto the memory of an energetic Ayame jumping over the counter and sprinting away with him yelling about young love.
Kin giggles at the image of a energetic Ayame dragging Naruto around the village "well, I think she has great taste!" said Kin the clothes definitely look good on him. Kin then extends her hand out to him "should we head out, Naruto?" asked Kin.
Naruto stiffy nods his head and reaches for her hand " right, let's head out!" grinned Naruto as they walk through the streets they notice various of people in kimonos walking their way. They even saw Sakura and Sai walking together, Kin turned to look at Naruto "so, what's The Heroes of Fire Festival? Ino didn't really tell me." said Kin she remembered trying to asked but she just avoided the question or said Naruto will tell you.
"It's a celebration of all the ninjas in the village not just the Hokage they have stands with food and games. Each stand is dedicated to one shinobi they also give out pamphlets about the shinobi. Though you won't see stands dedicated to somebody like Itachi or Orochimaru." said Naruto he noticed she flinched at the mention of Orochimaru.
"Are you okat?" asked Naruto with a concerned look.
"Yeah, I've heard of Orochimaru before and he creeps me out." said Kin though she would never say it to his face unless she wanted a quick early death.
"That's fair, though it does suck they don't have one for Madera Uchiha." said Naruto with a disappointed sigh.
"Madara Uchiha?" repeated Kin.
"He was the first Rogued Ninja from Konohagakure but he was also one of the people who founded the village. He was even rivals with the Shodaime Hokage Hashirama Senju being the only person to fight Hashirama he was even rumored to be the Nidaime Hokage." said Naruto he always found Madara Uchiha interesting sure he was a prodigy but he wasn't arrogant like his clan and actually wanted peace.
"What happened? Why didn't he become the Nidaime?" asked Kin.
He shrugged his shoulders "I'm not sure. Information on Madara Uchiha is sacred pretty sure there's reason for that." says Naruto.
"And what's that?" asked Kin.
"They don't want another Madara Uchiha apparently his Sharingan was so powerful he could even control Kyuubi." said Naruto leaving Kin shocked inside the seal the fox was seething at this conversation the one man he hates more than Minato Namikaze or Hashirama Senju was the infamous Madara Uchiha.
"He was that powerful?" asked Kin.
"if Orochimaru tried to fight Madara? He'd be dead in seconds." said Naruto. Orochimaru was the strongest shinobi she ever met he is one of the strongest of the Sannin but the idea of someone capable of killing Orochimaru as if he was a mere ant. The idea of someone being stronger than Orochimaru scared her.
"Did you tell Jiraiya about our date?" asked Kin.
"Nope, that'll just encourage him to write us in his next book." says Naruto.
"Your probably right, the pervert definitely would!" said Kin she eyes stare in wonder at all the bright lights surrounding the village various stalls dedicated to their many heroes. She can smell all the delicious food she smiles warmly at seeing many of people and children running around and having time.
"It's beautiful!" said Kin marvelling at beautiful bright lights of the night life of Konohagakure. " said Kin.
Naruto looks at her with a smile as her black raven locks shine within the beautiful night sky "yeah, it is." said Naruto.
She looks at him with a blush across her face "where, too?" asked Kin with a gentle smile on her face.
Naruto smiles at her enjoying seeing her smile "how about Tōka Senju?" asked Naruto.
"Sure, lead the way foxy," said Kin her hand unconsciously reaches for his whiskered face and runs her hand over his whiskers and surprisingly to the both of them Naruto let's out an audible purr both of them stared at each other with a heavy blush "I wasn't expecting that." said Kin getting lost in those cerulean orbs.
