A new adventure has opened up and begun for a new team of rangers. As a war between the human world and the ghouls has begun, a new band of heroes have been made. The Power Rangers have made their mark, and Johnny seemed interested by them. He couldn't stop thinking about what he saw.
"Johnny." Timmy said as he snapped him out of his thoughts.
"What do you want?" Johnny said.
"You looked like you were in deep thought. You want to talk about it?" Timmy said.
"Just because I helped you out a couple times doesn't mean we're going to be best friends." Johnny said as he walked away.
"No... I didn't think..." Timmy tried to explain, but was doing a lousy job. Johnny just didn't seem interested, but he was interested in those Power Rangers.
...
The Underworld
"So, these Power Rangers intend to get in the way and defend their little world?" Prince Ghoular claimed as he was coming up with a new plan.
"Allow me to finish them. There are only three of them." Gar offered.
"That's big talk considering they kicked your butt last time." Creepna mocked.
"Don't worry about that. You got me." All of them looked to see another ghoul stepped in. She was all green with blades coming out of her arms and had huge antenna-like structures coming out of the sides of her head.
"Mantria... This is a surprise. What are you doing here?" Prince Ghoular questioned.
"To offer my services, of course." Mantria claimed. "You won't find a ghoul with a better spring in her step than me. They won't even be able to land a strike on me."
"She is right. Her jumping abilities will make things difficult for them." Gar said. "If these rangers think they can oppose us, they have another thing coming."
"Very well. Let's see if these rangers can really measure up." Prince Ghoular said. "Gar, you go as well to observe. Let's see if these mere three rangers are a challenge at all." Three rangers might not be enough to defeat the ghouls, but that number can increase.

Lance
Once class ended, Lance walked out of school and was on his way to Chalice. Finding out you're a descendant of a powerful knight, and now a ranger, is really some life changing news.
"Lance! Wait up!" Austin called as he and Hannah caught up to him. "Are you heading for Chalice?"
"Yeah, I was." Lance said.
"We were heading over there, too." Hannah said as she looked around to make sure no one was listening. "There's a lot to learn about being a knight and being a ranger. It's rather exciting, but I think there's a lot we need to know."
"I think so, myself." Lance said. "Besides, Pro said there's suppose to be five of us. We need to figure out what to do about finding the other two. Maybe Pro knows something."
"So let's go and check it out." Austin said. All three of them agreed to that and hurried off. What they didn't know was that Johnny was listening and heard some of it.
"Chalice?" Johnny questioned. Something was just telling him that he needed to know of this, almost like instinct. As he tried to figure it out, he saw Timmy walking by. "Hey. It's Timmy, right?"
"Yeah. What is it?" Timmy asked.
"Have you ever heard of a place called Chalice?" Johnny asked.
"Chalice? No. Why?" Timmy asked. Johnny could tell that something was going on with those three, and he would like to know what it is. That's why he followed after those three. "Hey! Wait!" Timmy wasn't sure if he should follow, but he did.
...
Chalice
After school, the three rangers went to Chalice since that's going to be their main base. Luckily, they had Pro to guide them. If they're going to be rangers, they need to learn from him.
"As you now know, there were five knights that fought against the ghouls." Pro claimed. "These five knights chased them away from our world, and you three are descendants of those knights. However, there has to be five of you. Only when all five of you are together can you unlock all the power you have."
"And you were lucky to find the three of us." Austin claimed. "So, how do we find the remaining two? How do we find who else is a descendant of these knights?"
"It won't be easy, but we must keep our eyes open." Pro claimed. "The sooner we find them, the better for us. In the meantime, you three must uphold a code that knights follow. You must uphold chivalry, compassion, and honor. You must never strike unless provoked. As for when you do battle, you must never give up."
"Well, we're not exactly planning to let a bunch of monsters rule our world." Hannah said.
"How exactly how will we know that another ghoul is attacking?" Lance questioned.
"That's what this is for, and why I'm here." Pro said as he showed them the small pool inside. "I can monitor things here and inform you when there's an attack. This water isn't regular water. It can alert us to when evil forces is attacking. If there's an attack, I can inform you."
"That means we can use the time to find the remaining two." Lance said.
"Yes. It's paramount that we..." Pro was about to explain more, but he suddenly felt something. "Someone else has crossed the barrier." Curious as to who that might be, all of them went to check it out. They all hurried outside and couldn't believe it. Standing right before them was Johnny himself. He actually crossed the barrier. "Who are you?"
"Wait. You're the new guy. Johnny is your name, right?" Austin said. This was unreal. What is Johnny doing here? Before anyone could ask that, they saw someone else passed through the barrier and saw it was Timmy. When Tommy first laid his eyes on the place, he almost couldn't believe his eyes.
"What is this place?" Timmy questioned.
"Timmy? You're here, too?" Hannah said. "I don't get it. What are you two doing here? I thought they couldn't pass through the barrier."
"There's only one explanation as to how they could. It's them." Pro claimed. "Fortune seems to be smiling upon us as they brought the final two to us."
"Them?" Austin questioned as they couldn't believe it.
"Us what? What's going on?" Timmy questioned.
"That's what I like to know." Johnny said. If these two really are them, it means they are all together. Knowing they want answers, they moved Johnny and Timmy inside and explained everything to them.
"So you guys were the rangers?" Timmy questioned. "That's amazing, but you think Johnny and I are the last two descendants of these knights that fought evil so many years ago? There has to be a mistake."
"There is no mistake. The fact that you two were able to pass the barrier is all the proof needed." Promin said. "Otherwise, this place would be completely invisible to you."
"What are you two doing here in the first place?" Lance asked.
"I was just following him." Timmy said as he pointed at Johnny. "Something about seeing you guys in action really got to him."
"Yeah. I'm curious about your powers. I wanted to know how to get some myself, and I think I have my answer." Johnny said.
"So does that mean you're going to join us and help us fight evil?" Austin said as that sounded great.
"No." Johnny said. They didn't expect that. "I don't play on teams. I want the power for my reasons, but I'm not interested in becoming a superhero."
"Hold on. You expected to come here and gain power without joining the team?" Lance questioned. "Johnny, that isn't how it works."
"He's right. If you're not going to join the team, why do you want the power?" Hannah questioned.
"That's my business." Johnny said. Pro certainly didn't expect this, but he stayed firm and kept his ground. He was also curious about Timmy.
"What about you, Timmy? Do you want to join the team?" Pro said.
"Listen, I think you got the wrong guy. I'm no hero." Timmy said as it sounds like he thinks he's not cutout for it. Before they could talk more, the mystic water was alerting them of danger. Pro took a look and saw the trouble.
"You two remain here, but you three must go at once." Pro said.
"It looks like they're down town. How are we going to get all the way down there?" Lance questioned.
"I hope you like horses." Pro said. He showed them what he meant as he showed he had horses in his care that they can use.
"I am so far loving being a ranger." Hannah said. With that, each of them grabbed a horse and rode off into battle like real knights would.
...
The Rangers
The three rangers rode their new horses out and into battle. When they got there, there was no sign of trouble anywhere.
"It should be around here." Lance said as they dismounted from their horses and had a look around. "Keep your eyes open."
"I don't see anything." Hannah said. Just then, they were all attacked without warning as something landed near them and struck each one before jumping away.
"Hello, rangers. I knew I get the drop on you." Mantria said with Gar coming out to join her.
"You again!" Lance said as he recognized Gar.
"I didn't get to introduce myself last time. My name is Gar, I am a loyal servant to Prince Ghoular. You are about to learn why no one opposes us. Mantria, destroy them!" Mantria went right on the attack. The three rangers tried to fight back, but she jumped right over them and was jumping all over the place like a super bouncy ball.
"Oh man! Look at her go!" Austin said. When she finally landed, she slashed her blades against each of them, but she was too fast for them to land a hit of their own.
"Now you fall!" Gar said as he got in on this and tried to fight. He took charged right in and tried to attack with his sword, but Lance was able to block him him and kicked him back.
"Gotta be faster than that." Lance said.
"Try me!" Mantria said as she tried to attack him. The two of them kept clashing blades against each other. The others pulled out their weapons and tried blasting her, but she saw the attack coming and jumped out of the way. Then, she kept bouncing around and kept slashing against each one of them. They could be in real trouble here without some help.
...
Chalice
"They don't seem to be doing so good. Johnny, you need to help them." Timmy said.
"I told you, I don't do teams." Johnny said.
"But you are a good guy. Why else would you help me?" Timmy questioned. "Look, I don't know why you want that power if you don't want to be a hero, but I know you're a good guy." Johnny doesn't seem much like a team player, but he took a look and saw that they were struggling.
...
The Fight
The rangers kept trying to fight against Mantria, but they were having a hard time against this jumpy ghoul. As they all tried attacking her at once, she jumped up and hit each other by mistake. Then, she came down and slashed against each of them before jumping up to a building.
"I was hoping this would be more challenging." Mantria said.
"perhaps I was just having an off day when we fought." Gar claimed as this wasn't looking good for the rangers at all. "Mantria, finish it!"
"With pleasure!" Mantria said as she dived straight down and went for the finishing blow, but that was when perfect timing happened as Johnny jumped in and and kicked Mantria down. "Hey! How did that happen?!"
"That was my doing." Johnny claimed.
"You came!" Hannah said.
"Are you really here to help?" Lance asked.
"I'm here simply because I want to be." Johnny said as he pulled out his own Knight Caller. "Call of the knights!" Johnny used his new morphed and became the new black ranger. "Black Knight Ranger."
"Another ranger?" Gar said.
"Who cares?! He's going down!" Mantria said as she went in for the attack. Johnny met her attacks as he was able to block every attack thrown at her. When he tried one of his own, but she jumped up and landed on landed on a building. "You'll never be able to catch me."
"Oh yeah?" Johnny said as he dared her to come at him. She dived down and tried to smite him, but Johnny jumped up and was able to land his own strike and knocked her out of the air.
"Hey! How'd he do that?!" Mantria said once she landed down.
"Maybe you're not as good as you think." Johnny said. "Knight Shooter!" Johnny pulled out his own weapon that was a blaster designed after a wolf. He took aim and fired with him blasting her rather good. "Enough with all the jumping." He fired at her again and managed to blast one of her legs.
"Hey! Cheap shot!" Mantria said as she was having a hard time jumping now.
"Who cares? Time to say goodbye." Johnny said as he gathered powered around his sword. "Power Slash!" Johnny unleashed a powerful slash right on Mantria and was able to destroy her in one powerful blow.
"Mantria!" Gar called as he can't believe a fellow ghoul was destroyed. "Perhaps I have underestimated you. This is far from over." He claimed before he retreated. The rangers won this time, and it was thanks to Johnny.
...
Chalice
"Ot would seem that you managed to win this battle." Pro said once they all came back.
"Yeah, but it was thanks to Johnny." Austin said.
"Looks like you came around and decided to join us after all." Hannah said.
"Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not a team player." Johnny said. "I just helped out because you guys looked rather lame getting your butts kicked."
"Do you really have to sound rude?" Lance said.
"Regardless of your reasons, you have made things obvious, Johnny." Pro said. "You have sharp instincts, and despite your expression, you have a heart of gold. Qualities of a great knight. Having you around would be a big help."
"Whatever." Johnny said. "I'm just doing this for my own reasons." Johnny might have an attitude, but it looks like it's all show for what he really has in him.
"Now we have four, but we need five to be at full power." Pro said. That was when all of them turned to Timmy, but will Timmy have the courage to join the team?
