Coulson approached Harry when he saw him walking from the direction of town. "No Hero garb today?"
Harry grinned at Coulson, "Are you kidding in this heat? No thanks. So where's this anomaly you've found."
Coulson led the way into the temporary headquarters, "Well when we picked it up on our scanners we had to discount it being you."
"Oh is that why Nat was calling me yesterday asking me what I was doing?"
"Yes. We needed to verify that it wasn't friendly interference. After that we checked it out in person only to find a bunch of people trying to lift a hammer." Coulson explained as they got to a viewing room where they could see the hammer sitting in the middle of a crash site.
Harry walked up to the window and looked over the hammer from where he was. He took in the style, the designs, and the impressive rune work. "Can I get a closer look?" Coulson nodded. When Harry got within touching distance of the Hammer he could feel the lightning trailing throughout the weapon. Being closer he could now see the majority of the runic symbols, were just that, symbols. Scratching his chin he noticed a word that seemed familiar for some reason, "Mjölnir, that seems so familiar." Harry lightly touched the side of the hammer and he could hear a thunder clap in the distance "Ah got it."
Coulson, who had been watching Harry as he inspected the hammer, raised a single eyebrow in response, "Mjölnir? Do we know what this hammer is now?"
Harry got up and dusted the dirt off his hands and pants, "Yup. This hammer is Mjölnir, weapon and focus for the Norse god of thunder, Thor."
Coulson just stared blankly at him, "A God?"
Harry just nodded as he continued to inspect the hammer translating what he could, "Yeah a god. Small g though." He noticed a rune on the side that seemed new than the rest of the hammer. "Looks like Thor lost his hammer. So if you see someone blond tall and talks like a viking, just let them through." He lightly traced the rune and committed it to memory.
After that Harry decided to stick around and watch as SHIELD agents try to pull readings and move the hammer. When he started hearing a storm blow in and an intruder alert went out he knew the hammer's owner had come back. Instead of interfering he just watched as a tall buff blond man walked through the facility, agents being told to stand down. When he got to the center of the temporary base Harry could see the way his eyes lit up upon seeing the hammer. He stepped confidently up to the hammer, grabbed it with one hand and…nothing. He couldn't lift it at all. He watched as the happiness fell from Thor's face and he tried to lift it again with both hands. When that failed he crumpled to the ground and SHIELD agents were able to get him in zip-ties and out of the facility.
Coulson walked up behind Harry and watched Thor get dragged off, "Want to watch the questioning?" Harry nodded and followed Coulson to a nearby room. Harry steps in and stands in the corner behind the supposed Thor. Coulson walks in-front of the would-be god and takes a seat. Coulson cleared his throat to gain the intruder's attention, "Who are you?"
Thor not seeming in the mood for questioning didn't answer, Coulson continued to question him without much success up until Eric Selvig convinced Coulson to release him. Harry decided to hang around for a day or two, just to be on the safe side. Coulson appreciated it and Harry spent that time studying the hammer and all the runes he could see. Before he left he decided to check up on the wayward god and walked into town. Seeing the dine Harry walked over and saw Thor sitting with a group of people and laughing.
Thor had just finished telling a story about Volstagg when he noticed a man he met when he tried to get his hammer. Jane, Erik, and Darcy all notice Thor tense when a handsome man walks up to their table. "Hello everyone. How are you today?"
Thor just stared at the man waiting for something else to happen when Darcy gave him a strange look and greeted the man "We're fine, but who are you?"
Harry smiled at her, "My name is Harry Potter and I came to check up on the stray god in town."
Everyone at the table stilled when he pinpointed that Thor was a god, "What do you mean? I am just a common mortal enjoying a feast among friends!"
Jane, Erik, and Darcy all sighed when Thor basically outed himself. "No worries Prince Thor. I am not here to hurt you or your friends." Harry decided to show off a bit and created a chair to sit with them at their table.
Thor's mouth opened in a big grin, "You are a seiðr! Wonderful! I had no idea Midgard had any seiðr left!"
Everyone else was flabbergasted when a chair materialized out of nowhere. Jane decided to speak up, "Thor, what is a sayder?"
Harry just smiled as Thor went to explain in his booming voice, "Seiðr are sorcerers or magic users. Many of my people have a small affinity for magic, my mother and brother being the most prolific users! Come seiðr, partake in this feast with us!"
Harry agreed and ordered himself some food and discreetly conjured two tumblers filling them with fire whiskey, "Prince Thor, this is a drink of my people. I hope you enjoy it." He then winked and nudged the glass to Thor who laughed and grabbed the cup toasting to his new friend.
"To making friends!" Thor boomed before downing the entire drink. Jane was giving him a slightly exasperated look when he was drinking at lunch in a diner. No one expected the belch of fire that Thor made when he slammed his glass back down. "What a strong drink! Worthy of the halls of Valhalla!" Thor's grin was abruptly removed when he said that, realizing he would never return to Asgard.
Harry gave him a good slap on the back, "I am sure that you'll get back to Asgard soon, Prince Thor."
Thor was about to respond when he noticed four individuals dressed in armor, walking down the street in front of the diner. Thor quickly got up and everyone hurried to follow, except Harry who laid down enough cash to cover the meal on the table waving at the stunned waitress. Arriving outside he watched as Thor hugged the group that appeared but then started lecturing them, "-ould not have come for me. I must remain in exile, for it is my fault my father is dead."
The female amongst the group replied slightly confused, "Thor your father still lives."
Thor looked shaken for a moment before Darcy pointed out an anomaly just outside of town, when everyone was looking they saw something fall from the sky and create a large shock-wave. "Was somebody else coming?"
Harry narrowed his eyes when he saw the explosions, "I need to help." Harry popped away instantly leaving Sif and the Warriors Three standing agape.
Thor wanted to laugh but didn't think it was the proper reaction, "He is seiðr. Enough of that for now, we need to help get these people to safety."
Volstagg nodded, "We must go and help the seiðr."
Thor shook his head and reassured his friends, "I am but mortal now you must go and help him. I will stay and help the people."

Coulson groaned as he lifted himself from the ground as the Goliath sized metal combatant just walked through the wreckage of the destroyed vehicles. He brought his hand up to connect to his comm, "Does anyone copy? Do we have a vis-" Coulson cut himself off when he saw Harry or Summoner as he was now dressed throwing spells at the metal contraption.
Harry had appeared just a moment ago and saw the carnage of the creature attacking everyone. He immediately attacked with elemental spells, launching fire spears, air blades, and stone spikes. Unfortunately they didn't do much and he saw Thor's friends rushing the creature. Harry huffed, "I'm getting sick of fighting things with magical resistance." When Sif speared it through the back he thought it might be over only for it to flip its body around and blast at her above it. He rushed the creature that was now charging up an attack for the Asgardians and jumped up and brought his hands together and slammed them down into the back of the metal creature. His enhanced strength slammed the monster down into the ground and Harry took the chance to slam his hands down and started pumping his magic into the creature. Green arcs of power started jumping all over the machine. The metal plate making up the majority of it's body started to be meld together and thicken. Slowly the fight of the machine left it as it's body became smaller and smaller until Harry just had a thick brick of metal that could no longer move. Harry stood up and sighed. When he looked around he saw the destruction of the town and surprise on the faces of the Asgardians. "Let's just hope no more show up."
The Warriors Three were quite speechless, so it fell to Sif to explain, "That was an automaton built to fight the enemies of Asgard, such as the frost giants. There was only one of them."
Harry raised his eyebrows and looked back at the machine cube. There were still enchantments on it but it had no ability to move or change shape. "Well that wasn't so bad." As he finished talking Thor, Jane, and Darcy ran up to the group. Thor was staring at the cube in astonishment.
Thor then looked at Harry and exclaimed, "You are mighty seiðr Harry Potter of Midgard!" He then turned to his friends and checked them over while Jane was poking at the cube in fascination. Harry turned and saw SHIELD agents running up the road and let a grin spread over his face. He picked up the cube with a grunt and pocketed it. Coulson saw it happen and rubbed his temples while Jane who was inspecting the cube just gaped at him.
"You alright there Coulson? Any injuries?" Harry asked when the agents with Coulson just stood back in a ready formation.
"Minor injuries but a few deaths. The laser destroyed most of the vehicles we had on hand, killing anyone who hadn't gotten out." Coulson explained as Thor held Jane close as he talked with his friends.
"Well let's find out what's happening and make sure nothing else starts coming down to attack us." Harry said as he patted Coulson's shoulder and joined Thor's group.
"-ut how will we stop Loki?" Volstagg asked.
"I know no but I can not help you. We should have Heimdall take you back so you might protect the realm until my father awakens." Thor sighed as he held a little tighter to Jane's hand. Harry then introduced Coulson. Thor nodded, "Hello again Son of Coul, I am sorry my family matters caused you harm, but my friends must away. Loki holds too much power at the moment and must be stopped before he can do anything damaging."
Sif and the Warriors Three nodded and started towards the Bifrost site. Harry just nudged Coulson and talked quietly, "Real Norse beings. Cool right?" Harry could tell Coulson was fighting to keep his professional aura going while Harry continued to geek out quietly talking about who else might actually exist.
The walk back was quick and the Asgardians, minus Thor, were standing at the Bifrost site calling for Heimdall to take them home. It only took a few moments for them to realize that Heimdall either couldn't or wouldn't bring them back to Asgard. Harry was looking at them as they worried over what might happen to Asgard in their absence. Harry suddenly remembered Yao telling him about opening portals to other planets. When he looked back up they were arguing back and forth while Thor called out for Heimdall. Harry just walked over to Thor, "Hey do you think I can borrow a memory real quick?"
Thor gave him a strange glance, "Why would you need my memory?"
"Well I know a piece of magic that could get you to Asgard but I need to see the place before I can go there."
Thor's face lit up, "Excellent! Just tell me what I must do and we can get back to Asgard."
"All you need to do is look into my eyes and picture Asgard and I'll do the rest." Thor stared into Harry's eyes and thought of the look of Asgard from the Bifrost bridge. Suddenly Harry clapped and excitedly twisted his hand around opening an orange portal that led right into the Bifrost chambers. Sif and the Warriors Three were impressed until they saw that Heimdall was frozen and surrounded by frost giants.
"Oh no! Asgard has been invaded!" Her and the other Asgardians quickly raced through the portal.
Harry waved at Coulson as he entered, Thor right on his heels, "We'll be back. Hold down the fort." The last thing Coulson saw was the frozen man break his shackles and stab one of his captors.
